When I was a child, I dont recall being loved so much. But I recall the efforts my parents made for me.
There were extremely difficult times. I remember pain, breathing difficulties. I remember loss.
I remember the soft touch of my grandmothers hands while she recited quran and I listened to her.
I remember studying hard. Trying my best, even though I was undergoing tough moments in my life.
I remember crying. I remember loss. I remember failing my exams. I remember others moving on with their life. I remember the hospital visits, the MRI's. I remember pain. I remember breathlessness. I remember blacking out. I remember thinking ' this could be the day I die'.
However difficult it was, I remember seeing others get married and live life. But not me,because of my parents, the way I saw things, made me feel like I never want to get married.
Life is not easy the way it is for me.
Ya Allah, do not let me become a source of fitnah.
Ya Allah, if I was meant to live like this, to protect some people, never keeping my own happiness, I accept your decree.
Let me die for your religion. Do not lead me astray. My life and my death is for my lord only.
I miss you grandmother. I miss who I was before the pain. I never got the chance to really experience life.
Makes me wonder about the Palestinians. The hopelessness they must feel. Or anyone else undergoing oppression and genocide. The pain that must come with the whole world seeing your pain, only to turn a blind eye.
I was only a child when I met evil.
Palestine. And anywhere/anyone else undergoing genocide, you are part of my soul. Perhaps I may not know bombing, but I know pain. I know you, Palestinians.
And I wont stop fighting for you.
Do not stop being their voice. In saving you, I save me.

Hi π, I hope this message finds you well. My name is Hazem, writing to you from Gaza π΅πΈ, where my family of 11 is enduring extremely harsh conditions due to the ongoing war and blockade.
We urgently need 70 euros daily for medicine to save my brother Samerβs life, as his condition has worsened severely without treatment. Additionally, we are struggling with malnutrition, water contamination, and lack of shelter, which leaves us vulnerable to the winter cold.
Even a small contribution can make a big difference in helping us survive this catastrophic situation. Verified by @gazavetters, my number (#75): https://gofund.me/917ecb89 Thank you for your compassion and kindness! π
I will be amplifying P@lest1n!an voices!! Please check this out if possible. I know you are tired of all these messages, but they are still living through a g3n0c1d3

Hello, π
I am Mohammed from Gaza. Due to the war in Gaza, I lost my mother, father, and brothers, and my children and I were injured. I appeal to you to protect my children, take them out of Gaza, and help me complete my treatment abroad because my leg is at risk of amputation due to the lack of necessary treatment π. I humbly request a donation of β¬5 or more for my innocent children. My campaign has been documented and my data verified. I am not a robot or a scammer, and you can verify my story by requesting any information you need. Please donate and share my story.
My children and I are waiting for your donations.
Thank you very much. ππ
i will definitely do what i can to help you out where i am able! im wishing the absolute best for you and your children and i'm keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers, i hope for nothing but the best for you and your children. i extend my condolences to each and every one of you and i am deeply sorry for everything that you've gone through. i pray for the safety of you and your children and that you are able to reach your goals. i know condolences will not solve or help anything, but i hope i can at least bring you some words of comfort during this immensely hard time. thank you for sharing your story with me :) for those seeing this, here's the link to the gofundme. please also share his pinned post so it can get a better reach and so the family can get closer to their goal and safety <3

i love so much when something i like has one time purchase items alongside a patreon (thinking of wtnv here) Because its like "yes!! i can support my favourite content and not have to try convince my family a patreon is worth it-
this is also why i love sites like dropout, Give me some content but lock most of it behind a paywall, ill just watch and rewatch the stuff i like thats free until i can share an account or get my own
And this is ALSO why i like that theres different ways to donate to help palestine, When i have no money i can do my click, when i have money i can choose between charitys or gofundmes and theres no expectation that you do a repeat donation every single month. (because some people cant afford to do that)
Its so wonderful how there are still companies currently about who dont expect you to Pay for a subscription just for everyone in your home, You can share dropout/(watcher too..) passwords, You- probably shouldnt be sharing the nv patreon but you can still go and snag a tshirt and it benefits them.. and you- because cool new shirt! You cant share the money you putting towards one cause, But you can share the go fund me, you can share the daily click..
Like in an ideal world, alongside their subscription which could be shared, Netflix would have even just a "pay this much to watch this show!" allowing people who wont necessarily watch most of the content on netflix can still access thencontent at a price that matches how they interact.
(palestine n other tags censored in tags juzt to not clog up tags of art or go fund mes or news!)
(i just find it awesome how accessible so many things still are even with subscriptions attached to them jn some way)
and it totally benefits, Most of the go fund mes ive found i havent had money for but ive been able to reblog them, Nightvales merch store and bandcamp has meant ive been able to support the media i love without worrying about a constant subscription- Its more understandable to ask for the.. nightvale books or old tour shirts then it is to ask to pay money every month. It was more understandable to ask for money for the live show then to ask for that subscription
And because of this i can get the live shows i missed and merchendise- Of course going up to a merch table is nerve wracking but my dad is more prepared to speak for me to say shirt size then paying for another subscription. and no, i dont have any drop out account, But if i did its great i can go and just.. share my password.
And circling back to donations, no matter if i donate or not i can always reblog or share a post which could lead to someone getting even just a pound,
#idk i just love this fact#p@lestine#im censoring it to not clog up the tagπ«Ά#wtnvale#and i extended it to further prevent clogging

Have to say I don't rly fw white ppls definitions of gayness
#they are too outgoing it sometimes scares me ngl#like as an e.asian NEET fanartist (now oc himejoshi) the music and media I consume that shaped my personality is different#which is okay if we all celebrate and understand our differences#but to define gayness as#the sort of unbaggaged flippant flamboyance#is like okay . wtvs but let's just say queerness is like . being queer#instead of associating a certain lifestyle and personality to it#ppl keep thinking of me as an abc or whatever I'm not. literally lives in e.asia I just came to america for uni#I learnt English thru flipping physical dictionaries reading Percy Jackson in primary school#also I hate that white queers see their queerness as the uppermost label of their identity#and uses queer or not/queer phobic or not to decide if other people should live or die#p@lest one hates queers so i don't care about them!! like do you hear what you are saying#p@lestine#like who you like what your gender is is the least of all concerns when facing literally genocide

I don't expect to get good feedback but I feel like I need to say this: not everything is about taylor swift. yes, her ex posted an article about gaza on his instagram story the day of her birthday. but to call that a targeted act of malice, done solely to make her look bad, in my opinion, is in very poor taste to the current situation in gaza. don't get me wrong, I love taylor, some days she's all that gets me through the day, but she is NOT the center of everyone's universe. joe alwyn called for a ceasefire LAST WEEK, along with many other celebrities, among which taylor was not one of them. I don't even keep up with what the guy is up to and even I knew he called for a ceasefire. I think it's likely, with this being her first birthday since the breakup and with her living her life much more publicly, he knew fans were going to be paying more attention to what he posted and rather than give fodder to that certain subsect of swifties that like to hate on every person that was once in her life (I'm looking at you, people who were making fun of karlie kloss for her seats at so-fi stadium) he decided instead to turn heads to the current genocide in gaza! let me repeat that: there is a genocide going on! not everyone is thinking about taylor swift rn bffr!
furthermore, if you think his speaking out makes her look bad, think about why that is. I don't think celebrities have an obligation to "speak out" just because they are celebrities, but there is no denying taylor speaking out in support of palestine could literally be a key factor in turning public opinion in palestine's favor.
using the actual human suffering of the palestinian people as a way to make things about cheap celebrity gossip and "throwing shade" just to make your favorite celebrity look good is fucking tacky and it makes me ashamed to be in this fandom. if you're going to be doing that, the least you can do is click a button every once in a while too
#taylor swift#joe alwyn#leave the guy alone jfc#or read the fucking article he linked maybe#instead of finding a way to make it about taylor#he never spoke about her when they were dating#what makes you think he would start now#honestly the way some swifties are behaving right now makes me remember why i used to hide my love for her#because you give a bad name to the fandom#not even gonna tag this with p*lestine because I'm embarrassed that swifties are taking attention away from that with this bs

hmm. i simply do not think fandom discord servers should have #politics channels.
#post partially inspired by lrb and things i notice when sporadically peeking in servers#it's hard not to wrinkle my nose when i see politics/current event channels. i simply don't think it's appropriate or productive.#'but xan-- fandom spaces can be a means to finding community' sure. but also. please. i dont think that an insular semi-public space is it.#specifically this kind. it's not cohesive.#if i was in a server and people are regurgitating acab/free p*lestine/stop gen*cide to each other 20x in a row#and some glorified rando hall monitor told me to ||spoiler tag|| the words 'rape' or 'child abuse' in the middle of sentence#i think i would radiate enough malice to power nuclear power plants lmao#you wanna have a space for discussion or not. pick one.#also it just feels circlejerky at a certain point. everyone is self-assuaging their own anxieties about doing the right thing.#and i feel that saying the right buzzwords in a row or randomly policing a well-intentioned stranger who may have fumbled their words#checks off the part of the brain that's like 'ok we did an activism today. good job! we saved the city! this is what praxis looks like.'#with that said: [freshprincesunflower.jpg]#fandom bitterblogging

itβs so concerning how many self-proclaimed anti-zi*nists blindly reblogging things from pro-Zi*nist blogs without even checking :I
#Just check their blog they will tell you in the first like 5 posts#Itβs never fence sitters it is always people explicitly pro-zi*nism#I understand wanting to support J*wish people and call out antis*mitism but these posts are about 2 seconds away from calling#People who are pro-p*lestine antis*mitic#There are almost definitely plenty of anti-zi*nist j*wish people who discuss antis*mitism including infiltrators#Who arenβt spreading zi*nism talking points#I censored specific words because Iβm not actually looking to have a fight about this or get in the tags
