well that's the worst nightmare I've had in a while

#we were at the grocery store and a shooter came in. my sibling and i were separated at the time.#they died. and i was theone to find their body afterward. so. that fucking sucked.#woke up and strted to cry bc i thought it was real for a second #dream journal #edit bc i dont eant to reblog it to say this but ive had time to process it now #i was the only fucking person who cared that xe died. the dream cut to after the shooter was arrested and we were preparing for xer funeral #i think the dream implied that yhe shooter was an ex employee at the store and my dad and i were trying to like. talk to the owners about Y #Your Ex Employee Killed My Fucking Sibling #and the manager or boss or ehoever just. didnt care. didnt have any sympathy #my dad was there. but he didnt speak. i had to beg the managet to feel anything for the child who was shot and killed in his store.#to pay for xer funeral? i dont know.#we were there getting a blind bag toy xe had talked aout going to get irl since it was a short walk there really #i was looking for those pink chocolate chips.#to make cookies fro my friends #thats why i eoke up thinking it was real i think #most of my set-in-reality nightmares hinge on something that Cant happen anymore. this one was based on Recent Events and Planned Events #i had woken up just before six. when xe gets up for school. so i stared crying bc Oh My God Xe's Dead Xe's Never Going To Go To School Again #i dont think ive looked them in the face at all today.

there was a buffalo that was about to die soon but we were not allowed to tell it to the owner

#and the owner was a farmer whose livelihood depends on the animal #he was so sweet #when you meet with people from village who've travelled long enough for their animals just to get treated #you can see the hope in their wet eyes #this buffalo alone must've cost 1.5 lakh #and the economic gain from is milk is far beyond to sustain livelihood of farmers and their families #but they don't accept that their everything won't survive anymore #and we saw those poor animals #bitch with a tumor she kept whimpering #and a chihuahua who was so weak and helpless we couldn't even collect enough blood for cbc #ive been to clinic few times before this but none of the cases were this bad #also there was this rich lady with her toy breed dog who barely didn't eat for like two days and she got done all the scans and tests done #in moments like this it truly hits the condition of farmers in our country #fucking pathetic #i know its so much easier to open a clinic in metro city for dogs and cats where pets from rich families would come and youncan just do your #little oohs and awws #and no one wants to touch a cow or buffalo or goat because they don't fit in your cute aesthetic animals of what makes you a vet #but i keep thinking about the eyes of those owners as well as their livestock

not to be that guy but im gonna be annoying rn and say that one of the most disturbing internet things to #me is the obsession with fat cats and idc if i sound lame or like a party pooper but ☝️🤓 as someone with actual veterinary experience ☝️🤓 i have seen first hand how debilitating excess weight can be to these cats not only physically but also psychologically. some of these famous fat cats on tiktok or whatever are marketed with endearing monikers like “chonker” or “unit” or whatever else and it drives me crazy a little because the likelihood of them developing thyroid problems or diabetes or arthritis or joint issues is so astronomically high and thennn u enter the territory of them not being able to groom themselves because they can’t reach and bend in ways they should be able to AND THEN from there the cat gets stressed out and anxious because they can’t clean themselves but when they lash out because of it they’re just seen as assholes. it’s different if ur actively trying to get ur cat to lose weight but some people realize they can make a profit off of exploiting their unhealthy cat for internet points without any regard to the cats wellbeing and it irritates me so badddddddd… no it’s not cute nor funny watching ur cat roll around bc it can’t stand up easily or fail to jump half a foot in the air. You are neglecting your cat. Dare I say abusing your cat. Die

#rant bc i saw an annoying tiktok 😭#i have seen so many overweight cats suffer from so many health issues and it pisses me off so bad #and i have also seen many overweight cats get euthanized because of it. i think what really made me start realizing this type of shit was #when i had a patient who was an aggressive overweight cat and the owner was an elderly lady who #didn’t give a FUCK and refused to try do anything at all to help her lose weight #and she was aggressive bc she couldn’t clean herself and didn’t even have any fucking toys like???#anyway she got sick. had to be euthanized. I was the tech in the room #by far one of the most upsetting moments at work that i had to deal with #because she was a good cat who suffered at the hands of her awful owner #like ppl have to realize their pets are not accessories #even moreso when it comes to cats bc they are very good at hiding their diseases even ones they are incredibly prone to #*personal

#before you worry: yes ofc I step in when the other dog is mean to her. and I watch them always.#I literally don't let this freak of a dog outta my sight when he's not in his kennel. as he's...stupid. very stupid.#almost 5 years old and never went to obedience school and can't be off leash because he doesn't know commands stupid.#Eats everything in sight stupid. will start choking on rocks and other shit that happens to be on his path stupid.#HER OWN FUCKING TOYS. GROWLS AND BITES AT HER.#His owner is very kind and pays very well though. (I think she likes treating this dog like her baby and that's why he is the way he is.)#It's just that this other dog. is half Mocha's size.#but she's just such a sweetheart that she'll bring out HER toys to play with him and to share. but then he WILL NOT LET HER PLAY #I take the toy away but Mocha tries to bring it out to play again but then other dog just snatches it up >:(#She brings out another for herself? He snatches it up. She tries to get it back? He growls and bites at her. Even if he's currently not #playing with it. and I'm just thinking “Mocha.You're older than him and you're bigger. You're too sweet. Don't let him treat you like this!#we've had another playdate with a dog once where she brought out her favorite toy. and her friend destroyed it. watching my cat from hell is a wild ride because like. 8 times out of 10 the issue is shit tier god awful owners and jackson galaxy has to be like “well i think it would help a whole lot if you performed the most basic cat care possible”

#like. they don't have any elevated areas they don't have any places for the cat to go and hide and be alone #some of them don't even OWN cat toys let alone use them #a non zero amount of them are fucking outdoor cat people #that one couple who only changed the litter box once every TWO WEEKS #and then WONDERED why he wasn't using it #also not to speak on ppls relationships but like. so many of these couples are like '... are you sure the CAT is the problem? 🤨'#i speak #animal welfare #anyway and then 1/10 its genuinely unaware owners who maybe should have known better before getting a cat but mean well #and the other 1/10 its the cat having an actual health / neurological issue

I think being autistic does actually make me inherently better at animal handling because I, too, have been yelled at for growling and biting when everyone ignored my previous warnings and didn’t set clear boundaries

#my roommate’s always like Wow my dog responds so well to you!#yeah bitch I set clear expectations and consistent rules and I don’t yell at him #and I pay attention to his body language and the rituals he creates #literally it’s not that hard #ya she got him to train as a service dog LMAO #she doesn’t have the money to send him to a trainer and the time to do it herself #when I recommended she pull from the emergency fund (because his reactivity is getting BAD to the point of borderline aggression)#she was like ‘who has an emergency fund for their pet :P’#BITCH IDK IM NOT MAKING $30+ AN HOUR WITH A 401K AND FULL INSURANCE PACKAGE #THATS WHY I DONT HAVE A DOG??#just an in-the-works shrimp tank that I do in fact have a small emergency fund for #it’s your job as a responsible pet owner to attend to your animal’s needs. if you can’t do that you shouldn’t have a pet #and she fucking undermines the training /I/ give #like I was teaching him to find a toy when someone knocks at the door to redirect his energy and prevent barking #but now whenever he barks at the door she YELLS at him to find his toy #so I had to stop training that area because like. what the fuck am I gonna do???#notably I am the only person who can consistently get him to stop barking at the door #completely unrelated to the fact that I’m calm and give him treats when he stops barking #and comes over to me and chills out #goddddd I hate her she shouldn’t have any animals ever #anyways what was I saying.#oh yeah I’m the only person in this apartment who should ever be allowed to have a dog #this is also why I dont plan to get one! The worst thing about suffering is that it still hurts when the danger is over but no one cares about it anymore because it shouldn't hurt. No one will ever say "I'm sorry that happened to you" especially when they barely say "I'm sorry that's happening."
