Hellooo I didn't see someone asking this before but maybe I'm blind. I was thinking of starting to watch Bonanza and Dr. Quinn. I am interested but I'm a little afraid of how big they are so to speak? I thought asking you what you like about them would be cool? Your posts are so nice!
I love westerns and I don't need romance romance but I am also not feeling the newer series like Yellowstone if that makes sense? So I thought maybe Bonanza and Dr. Quinn would be the ones to try.
Hello!! Both VERY good and fun shows!! But yes both can definetly feel like quite the undertaking, especially Bonanza (looks at the 14 seasons)
If I'm to say what I like about Bonanza we might be here a while and this post will get very long, it is my favorite tv show after all, but I'll try to keep it short! I really overrall enjoy the characters and family aspect of it. All the adventures and situations they get into and how they interact with each other and the people around them. Bonanza is more of an anthology series, where each episode has it's own plot and the series doesn't follow one main plot (well I guess the main plot is following The Cartwrights and the stuff they get into each episode). The anthology-ness of it sometimes might make it easier to watch, cause honestly you can kinda skip around the episodes and seasons and watch the ones that you think sound interesting plotwise if you don't feel like starting from the beginning and watch all the episodes (or if you start at the begining to familiarize yourself with the characters and get tired of watching it in order). But keep in mind this is a long TV show that started in 1959 and ended in 1973, so the show look and feel rather different in the later seasons than in the first ones, but naturally it still follows the same premise. You REALLY do not have to watch all of it in order to enjoy it.
In Bonanza you kinda have everything. You got humor, drama, action, extreme sillyness and more dramatic darker themes and lots of other things and I really like that! there is romance also but it's more like.... what girl is Joe dating this episode and then you never hear about her again. and also
Tumblr media
While Dr. Quinn is probably best to watch from the start and work your way through it. It's alot more heavy on the romance side tho (the cheesy campy good kind of romance mind you). It's a very feel-good and sweet TV show that also isn't afraid to get dark and dramatic and also being cheerful. I like it cause it gives me a wierd 90's romance drama nostalgia that I really love along with family drama.
HOWEVER if you feel like trying out some other older western shows that aren't as lengthy as Bonanza and Dr. Quinn, I can recommend these:
The Magnificant Seven (1998-2000)
The Young Riders (1989-1992)
Bordertown (1989-1991)
Little Men (1998-1999)
I also totally understand not vibing with newer shows like Yellowstone! Personally I really don't watch alot of newer westerns cause they feel to gritty for me. I prefer the vibe of the 60's-90's westerns.

cloverkel or luckycoin is such an ass mid ship that i will NEVER understand, there is nothing good about it, its bland and boring, how can you enjoy a ship like THIS, and i found out people shipped them ever since Clover's elimination in III, just because Nickel like cried for her ONCE?? did you guys just watched their scenes with yall's eyes closed?? Like despite Nickel treating Clover like trash she STILL helped him, but Nickel as far as i remember NEVER apologized to all the things he said to her, she distanced herself from others in fear that she might hurt them because of what Nickel said, and in episode 15 the ship got more popular which is so weird to me, honestly Nickel treats most women he interacted with like trash(this is one of the reasons why i hate Nickel ships ESPECIALLY WITH WOMEN because it just does not make sense and its obvious why) and this is worse with Clover yet people STILL decided to make them all cutesy because she helped him to lock the fuck in, Nickel could tell Clover to khs and people would STILL try to make them seem like a better ship to HAVE a REASON TO HATE ON OTHER SHIPS(cough cough NICKLOON even though theyre technically in better terms now, i think cloverkel just existed and got more popular just for the sake of not shipping nickloon)
People who ship cloverkel are mostly the ones who contastly mischaracterize BOTH OF THEM, and some even using the argument "oh you hate this bc its straight" like no its because it just makes ZERO sense to work out and obviously toxic, Nickel overrall just doesnt ever seem to genuinely care for Clover for all she did to him, to help him realise, to share her luck with him, still treat him nicely and be understanding and even helping HIS own personal problems, i dont think these is a single scene where he seemed thankful for her, i would like an really detailed explanation to WHY would you think these 2 would be a good pair because i genuinely dont get it, because there really isnt no explanation for it being a "better ship" really, their arc sucks ASS because Nickel was just throwing whatever at Clover, was i supposed to be feeling something when Nickel was calling out on her luck that she cant even control and making her feel bad?? romantically or platonically sucks either way(but mostly romantically bc wdym nickel is falling in love with Clover. thats how u write them to be after watching all their scenes in III? where he is throwing shit at her to make her feel guilty??) i dont know if i said this again but Nickel just DOESNT deserve Clover.
Seeing content of cloverkel makes me so umcomfortable that i want to rip my hair out, like be so fr. Idk why this ship doesnt get as much hate because its REALLY just people trying to be different when they say they love it.
this is just something i've wanted to say for a while now, have a nice day btw

Comments on The Last of Us episode 3
- I have no words to describe how beautiful this episode is. Is something like i haven't seen in a while. So much sentiment, so much caring.
Being able to see such a pure and strong bond, love, born in such a savage and ruthless world is truly a blessing and a far better take at Frank and Bill than the one we've got in the game.
And I Know this take is kinda controversial because Ellie and Bill interactions in the game are amazing and I wanted to see that but again, I'm really happy with what we got.
Bill in the game was fun but show Bill takes to a whole new level. It humanize the characters a whole bunch. Makes it more than just some quest in the gameplay. He and Frank love each other until the very end.
-And with Bill and Frank participation in the story ended, this men's they will take their time in ~forgot which city it is~
Overrall Bill and Frank have the best ending someone can get in there world right.
-Them having lunch with Tess and Joel and now Joel is the only one still standing. 😭

I finished the main plot of Relink.
Spoilerfree review: this game is Everything. I think it really did amazing to capture all the strength of Granblue, all in an incredible gameplay experience. It's genuinely extremely fun to play, and the plot is so good. I did cry by the end of it.
Do i think it's beginner friendly? mhmm i think it gives a lot of things for you to catch back if you read the glossary and the Fate Episodes, but i'm biased on that. but if you ignore that it would be a bit tough to emotionally connect with the established cast imo. That said i still think it's doing a good job at it. It's just that it's going to be a completely different experience.
(like at some point some members of the crew lament about something that happened and it made me cry personally because "oh, considering their history, this must sting", but to someone who might not know it's like :)! cool. anyway!)
That said the story itself is very strong. It did feel like an anniversary event in Granblue in term of story.
(which oh my god i can't believe it's this month i'm not ready for another one)
Still. the game is incredible.
there's a lot to do post-game, though i won't stream them, but it's so fun and it's still so... so Granblue.
if you love Granblue, try the game out, of course. If you don't know Granblue, still try it out and have a good time. Our crew is incredible <333
also i'm coming out of it with a big crush on Rolan and Id and i'm sooo not sorry about that. But overrall i loved all of the new cast and what it raises as questions for the lore. Really liked it.
I won't stream anymore when i do post game stuff though, but i can't wait to return to the game!
now on more detailled thoughts about the game:
overall it's a good mix of everything very Granblue. but imo it's really doing a good job at highlighting some lore stuff that we KNOW but don't think about much.
like, yeah, Lucio told us what made the Skydwellers unique is because they rely on one another and help each other out
so it MEANs by contrast that Astrals don't actually rely on people. they're individualistic by nature, and it's why the primals are the way they are, they are a representation of the Astrals being self reliant by making their own things instead.
Lilith is really the quintessential Astral on that regard. And even once she had worship and a "child", it was only about being worshipped, it was only about using the child, it was never about connecting and relying on them.
Lilith is so interesting in term of characterization. and also who doesn't like an evil milf obviously.
Rolan was the incredible other half to that in a sense. He's the Astral who decided to learn to change. When you read his notes when he was disconnected from the skyrealms you actually see this distain for the skydwellers and connections that the Astrals all have.
Rolan meanwhile was the Astral who actually learned he could change. I think it also can show that the fact the Skyrealms and the Astral world are now divided since the split is really just bad for everyone there, because without the skydwellers to inspire them the Astrals are too static to see the change and all. It's sooo interesting to me.
Anyway i want Rolan back. Why does Granblue keep putting our "we came from a loveless place but you taught us how to love" in dimension rift prisons. booo.
Id ended up really being the stealer of the show for me, which explains why he's on the cover art ahah.
his connection to Lyria, to MC, his desire to change, and his whole plot with Lilith (which i talked a bit more about in my previous post) was so interesting and endearing.
Anyway the whole game kinda felt like a really big event story and it was genuinely so so good. I loved to see all sort of narrative callback, the way some characters could fit some archetypes we've met before and all of that.
it was so much worth the wait and i'm so glad it came out right in time for the celebration of the 10th anni.
thank you Cygames for this.

(2/4) OBVIOUSLY IT'S FULL OF SPOILERS, READ AT YOUR OWN RISKS.
- I do not like watered-down!Katara. No, I mean, I like her, she's cute, she's adorable, she's nice... but heck Katara have some fire in you girl! She did get there at the end, with Pakku and Zuko, but it was still timid compared to Katara from the cartoon. Like I could understand it at the beginning of the show, seeing how they were raised, how afraid they are of the Fire Nation, Sokka etc. But after Jet, after Pakku? Like I needed her to scream, and I feel like she needed it too. Or at least to be more assertive, like little touches, her turning and really facing Jet when she said "no, it was me!". I did like her softness, and her kindness, and her going around getting all the women in the Northern Water Tribe to fight, like these are good assertive moments, but through them all, Katara still has this soft attitude (even through her fight with Pakku) that still made her... too nice lol. Surprisingly, I also liked how she got the waterbending scroll. Like yeah, I love the pirates arc, it's a really fun episode, but Gran Gran giving it to her does highlight what kind of hope for her people Katara is. She is this cherished, unique being, and it justifies her behaving so discreetly. Her flashbacks broke my heart, the kid actress who played Katara really got me. I'd say, contrary to the changes to Aang's character, I can understand the changes to Katara's character better, per this version of the story. But I still want her to have more punch, I really hope if/when we get a s2 we get that strong-willed, firm Katara. - I dig what they did with Bumi's character. This mixture of bitterness and responsabilities that has worn down a kid who was happy, it kind of highlights the kind of man/Avatar Aang would have been, had he lived through the war. Which is sad, because we love happy Aang. I liked this overrall storyline, even tho the fact of mixing so many storylines in these two episodes feel like all of them didn't really have the chance to really expand on their own. Like the Jet one was discarted too soon and weirdly, and I don't understand the point of putting the Secret Tunnels there, on top of it all - my bet is that they won't even go back to Omashu next season, somehow they'll learn before even attempting to go there that the city has been taken. Thus, them not being able to hear the stories of Oma and Shu in s2. That being said, whether it's through Jet, Bumi or Sai/The Mechanist, they really played on the weight of war, and it's something I like, because yes, it's a war that has started like a hundred years ago, which is a looooooong time. - HOW IS IT BOOK 1 :WATER AND AANG HAS NOT WATERBENT AT ALL IN IT??????????????????????????????????? - I loved every Gyatso/Aang moment, every Zuko/Aang moment, and ep4 going forward, every Zuko/Iroh moment. Especially the flashbacks on ep4. I also LOVED having Ozai/Iroh scenes, hell yeeeeeees. ? The scenes of Zuko and Aang on ep6 were so so so sweet. I could nitpick and say "heh it's too soon", but I honestly DO NOT CARE. I adored them.
NATLA REVIEW (SEVERAL PARTS IN THE REBLOGS CUZ TUMBLR IS STUPID)
(1/???) Sorry, Tumblr is stupid, I can't just post my stuff and be on my way, like I gotta divide it in several posts because it's too long blugh. Ok ok ok. So I finished the show. Obviously. Somehow The Binge got me anyway. I will need to rewatch it to digest everything better and pay attention to small stuff and all, but first impressions off the bat: OBVIOUSLY IT'S FULL OF SPOILERS, READ AT YOUR OWN RISKS. - I do not understand why they did not make Aang run away. When I learnt about it after the premiere, I was willing to let the show explain to me organically why that was changed. They didn't. And staying true to Aang running away was... just right there. All they had to do was not have him say "you're right buddy, I'll just clear my head" and that's it. Because at the end of Aang's little speech with Appa, I really was like "... and then you run away boy" because it really felt like it was building to this. @ Albert Kim, we need to talk. It is especially weird considering they had several characters and moments were people were either guilt-tripping, blaiming or being angry at Aang for not being there for 100 years. The scenes with Bumi, with Gyatso, would have been way more impactful had Aang run away. I do not understand this decision and the show has given me no ground to understand or accept it. - NOT NEARLY ENOUGH MOMO AND APPA @ Albert Kim, we need to talk again. Per your IGN video, you teased me Appa being Aang's best friend. WHERE WAS IT???? I WILL SUE. And again, it's like why? Yes I got teary eyed at the Sokka/Momo scene in the finale, but huh, I would have BAWLED MY EYES OUT had they had more scenes and a stronger relationship (yes I'm talking about a boy and a lemure...) (and even tho I love Sokka/Momo, what about Momo/Aang???) Also there are scenes where Momo isn't there, and it's not making any sense because we have wide shots of all the Gaang on Appa and Momo is just... well not here. - I liked what they did with Azula and Ozai. It makes me really looking forward to some Azula/Zuko scenes. ? and I do think Ozai not burning and banishing Azula for standing up against him literally confirms what Zhao said to Zuko at the end, but idk if it's just my interpretation or just canon lol. I would have loved to see - finally - Azula's blue fire at the end. Like yeah, we saw her bending lightning, but what about the iconic blue fire huh???

CYMA any marvel characters
Omg yay! I've seen people do this, and it looks so fun... Okay, let's go!
@simpingsnax as Tony Stark! I don't know if it was your previous avatar photo, or the fun vibes you take everywhere you go, but you definitely seem like a Tony.
@savvysass as Pepper Potts! Definitely see you as a mom friend who is super fun and badass, and also dishes out amazing advice!
@cassiecasyl as Peter Parker! Peter seems like the kind of guy I'd talk to a lot for any opinions of photos of random stuff (C A T S). Also the super nice mutual who is really supportive and fun to talk to!
@aixabi as Morgan Stark! SUPER SWEET MUTUAL WHO I DON'T KNOW A LOT ABOUT BUT ABSOLUTELY ADORE! Really kind, and sometimes has chaotic energy.
@official-wayward-fairchild as Harley Keener! I CAN'T DESCRIBE IT WELL BUT I ALWAYS THOUGHT YOU HAVE HUGE HARLEY VIBES! Do you have a shed full of electromagents?
@sherlock-who-mentalist as Nebula! You are so cool, and I would gladly be stuck with you on a spaceship for a long time! You are so loved by us all on tumblr and discord, and I hope you love us too even if people irl annoy you.
@storiesbystarlight as Steve Rogers! Huge Steve vibes, especially after that one time you sent me an ask describing an outfit, and asked if you would manage to look like a female Steve in it.
@an-adventureland as Sam Wilson! Emotional support mutual who always knows just what to say to make me feel better! You are so considerate, but also won't hesitate to mess people up if they threaten someone close to you.
@wxntersolider as Bucky Barnes! This one should be obvious right? You're a really great and generally caring person who has probably been traumatized way too often by your mutuals.
@yelenabelovca as Natasha Romanoff! One of my most favorite mutuals ever, who is actually really popular and sometimes just disappears from my activity page without a trace. Actually a very sweet even if you could probably kill me.
@warmachinerox-with-an-x-all-caps as Clint Barton! A really smart mutual, who is sometimes a real dumbass. But we all adore you!! You're probably capable of murder, and anyone who really gets to know you can never leave you alone!
@txngledbxnds as Thor Odinson! I was super intimidated by you when we first became mutuals, but now I know that if you're holding a coffee and I run and jump at you, you'd probably drop your stuff to catch me. Also I feel like you'd give people random hugs??
@insanemidgardian as Loki Laufeyson! BRO I DON'T EVEN HAVE TO EXPLAIN TO YOU!! You are the most chaotic person ever, who is my trickster buddy on this site, I can't put you as anyone else.
@galaxychocolateisme as Bruce Banner! I have only known you for a day and we've talked like once over one of my posts, but you seem like the shy, innocent person who prefers to keep to themselves, but would be an amazing friend.
@moobrvoobl-moobmoob-oobmpoobroom as Peggy Carter! You are a badass and super cool mutual I adore! I feel like you're underrated and people don't give you enough credit for your amazing personality and blog.
@whatrambles as Howard Stark! Ignoring all the trauma he gave our beloved Tony Stank, you seem like a representation of him from CATFA and some episodes of Agent Carter. Your sarcasm and humor definitely match, and I see similarities in the personality overrall!

how do you think the finale shouldve ended? i feel like it felt unfinished
agreed! there was something innately unsatisfying about the whole thing that left a really bad taste in my mouth (to the point where my dramatic ass was like "i'm never gonna enjoy obx again!" last night lmfao). but whilst there are small moments i would write differently i think overrall there is no way to truly 'fix' that finale, as long as it's preceded by the other episodes. the finale itself is only as bad as it is because it's the finale, not because it's actually any worse then the other episodes- at least in my opinion.
the season two finale is just sorta what happens when you dawdle for nine other episodes and use your characters in the most shallow way possible the whole time. i know it's not at all a hot take by now, but even though a lot technically happened in season two, did anything really happen at all? especially character-wise- it's genuinely so dire it depressed me to think about. there is not a single dynamic i can think of that truly developed or changed over the course of this season. and because of that, of course the finale rings hollow- it's supposed to be the climax, the apotheosis of the previous nine episodes' build-up, but there was no build-up to jump off of.
but, with that said, i love to feel superior, so here's how i would have done the finale if i couldn't change any other episodes:
first off: jj and kie should have had a full scene together in that shipping container. not a 15 second conversation. a full scene happening concurrently with pope and jb's plot stuff. i'm supposed to believe the two characters who have historically been the most antagonistic towards each other are gonna have an amicable little chat about surfing when they're both trapped in a confined space with little air? not only does it feel out of character, but it's a complete waste of a scene. this could be the climax of kiara's storyline (because, now that i'm thinking, we never actually got it?) where every comment she's made and thing that she's done comes back to bite her, except it's so much more visceral because it's not coming from her parents, it's coming from her friend! kie starts complaining about her parents and jj just scoffs and kie confronts him about it, because of course she would, and it all snowballs from there. jj says she's ungrateful and kie says what the hell, jj, do you know all the shit i've gotten into for you guys and jj responds you didn't do that for us, you did that for yourself. you know, kiara, you think you're special because you hang out with the poor kids, like you're some saint for putting up with us. but you're just like every other fucking kook who gets off on thinking they're better than a pogue. i see it every time you roll your eyes at me. you've never been one of us and of course, that's all kie has cared about, about this superficial label that never truly applied to her in the first place, so the comment hits her like a punch to the gut. and it's kie, she's always going to respond in kind. so they just keep going, getting meaner and meaner, and then right as things begin to get so heated a punch is about to be thrown, pope and jb come back. and their fight isn't resolved- that's for next season- but it lingers, even as they need to put it aside for other things. on the surface this doesn't do much in terms of the broad strokes of the episode, but in my opinion it's massively important, because it anchors the finale with a very real very brutal character moment (and, although admittedly very late in the game, a deepcut character conflict which has been sorely lacking so far), so the plot stuff rings less hollow. right now all we have as anchor are jb sarah and ward, and pope with the cross and his connection to denmark. neither of those are bad, but they are so tied up in the plot they don't hold much emotional weight in such a plot/action-heavy episode. like pope's 'sorry, denmark' and john b & sarah leaving ward to die were the most interesting parts of the episode and they lasted a collective fifteen seconds at best. so, add a jjkie fight and stregthen/reference more the emotional motives of jb and pope, so everything that happens feels less meaningless.
secondly, speaking of ward- let that bitch die!! he's served his purpose and it's so cheap to have a death fakeout twice in the span of like four episodes. if he actually kicked it, that has so many more interesting implications for the characters and story. for one, john b is now technically a murderer- something about if people see you as a monster for long enough you eventually become one, a final blow defining loss of innocence, does revenge actually bring the catharsis you hoped for, etc. it also means sarah needs to deal not just with her father's death, but her and her boyfriend's hand in it. and i truly believe the ghost (metaphorically speaking lol) of ward could hurt her so much more than him as a living being; if you grow up with an angry man in your house, there will always be an angry man in your house.
most interestingly, it changes rafe's role in the story entirely. it's his final words to ward that "i'm gonna step up and be the man of the house" but cranked to 100. a true maginified view of rafe's inability to change, because now he has to change, but despite it becoming a necessity he still just can't, he's incapable of it! ward is gone, and rafe is in charge of the family legacy, the cross, the safety of rose and wheezie, everything... but is there any point to this when there's no more of his father's approval to pursue? when the final person you had who knew you and still loved you anyway is gone? what do you have now- rose? wheezie? rafe can only lead in small ways, he's not built to be the man in charge of it all. ward was the one who always thinks ahead, where rafe shoots first and plans later. with ward completely out of the picture, it leads to a full-scope of rafe's dysfunction and the other issues prevalent in the cameron family. whilst the stakes don't necessarily grow higher, they certainly change in a very big way that opens up the door for a more interesting, character-driven story wrt the antagonist/s of obx next season.
honestly, i don't hate the island idea. i think it was abrupt and not the most satisfying ending for the season, but it opens up a path to explore the characters more than they ever have before. maybe i'd end it with them still at sea though, mirroring jb and sarah's final scenes in season one, and only have them get to shore at the start of season three. seeing them on the island already was kind of a stilted end to the season- they were already adjusting to the status quo change, which is really where they should be at the beginning of season 3. it feels quite anticlimactic. but honestly, that's a real nitpick when the real problem is like. everything else lol.
sorry this ended up being super long but yeah!

why rayllum is a MASTERPIECE part 3
*RUBS MY CLAWS TOGETHER* IT IS SEASON 3 TIME BITCHES AND H O L Y S H I T I LOVE THIS SEASON SO MUCH
i even rewatched it for this!
this time i’ll try to have SOME order, and go by episode. this will however still include unintelligible screaming
1. DAMN THESE FUCKERS BE PINING MORE THAN A PINE TREE FOREST!
first off, affectionate eye rolling, nose boop, and head bonk is the best thing.
second, IF SOMEONE SAYS THAT DURING WHEN CALLUM WAS HELPING RAYLA PUT ON HIS SCARF AND THEY J STARED AT EACHOTHER FOR A BIT BEFORE RAYLA TURNED AWAY THAT HE WAS N O T LOST IN HER EYES? they’re wrong. this is fact now.
third, their teamwork and decision making is excellent. they agree to try and sneak past sol regem, and when that fails try talking to him and then decide to simply trick his senses with the scarf. and instead of rayla shooting down callum’s “smelltriloquism” idea, she simply adds onto it! LOVE HEALTHY FRIENDSHIPS
“i think it’s good luck!” YES IT IS RAY THAT’S UR BOYFRIENDS SCARF
also, here you go. you’re welcome.
Tumblr media
2. STILL PINING. GOD DAMN.
first, CALLUM BEING SO EXCITED BY ALL THE MAGIC IN XADIA IS S O CUTE! MY SON. this might turn into an overrall review of s3. o well
second. FLUSTERED RAYLA AND FLUSTERED CALLUM. Y E S
third, THE ADORABURR FIELD! their smiles were so fond and soft and A. they make me cry of joy.
an overall look on it, i like how this episode really shows their feelings clearly. no “will they won’t they”, at least for rayla. it’s clear she has feelings.
3. AH FUCK. ANGST.
first i love how when rayla mentions that she’s excited and happy but also terrified, callum tries to comfort her. good boi. best boi.
second, elf callum. i love that scene so much even if the second-hand embarrassment kills me, and rayla is j like “why the fuck do i love you. im gonna kill him.”
third, DANCE! callum not being rude and saying her home is “modest” before rayla explains it’s an illusion, his BLUSH WHEN SHE HELPS HIM, and the softness in general. rayla’s excitement that she’s home and talks abt that she can show callum where she went to school, the best moonberry surprise place, until...
fourth, AH FUCK. A N G S T T I M E. rayla being crest-fallen before callum says that it must’ve been a mistake, and she realizes that ethari would probably understand!
and then CONFIRMED GAYS. YES.
rayla realizing ethari ghosted her too and then callum GOING O F F. he angy and when rayla runs out callum IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWS (like in a later episode) and comforts her again.
when ethari comes down and breaks the spell and says to callum “trees to meet you too” and rayla’s like “don’t encourage him”
also callum trying to get on the shadowpaw and ethari being Concerned is AMAZING. concerned dad content
i’ll talk more about ezran/ruthari/the dark magic trio in a later ted talk
4. H E R E W E G O
first, rayla clearly being sad and callum picking up on that quickly (he even seems to be almost falling on purpose, perhaps to make her smile?) and asking if she’s ok before being shot down by rayla insisting she is fine. GOD DAMN. THAT HURTS.
second, their interaction with nyx is so amazing. rayla being protective of zym and callum being a DORK is awesome, but also their decision making.
after rayla reluctantly decides that they can go see how nyx could get them across the desert so quickly, they see the ambler and then their reasoning is amazing.
“what do you think?”
“the dragon queen is dying.” and then i forget the rest of the exact quote but they give a subtle nod to eachother. they make their decisions TOGETHER. AS A TEAM. AND THAT’S ON HEALTHY FRIENDSHIPS X2!
third, callum continuing to gently press for rayla to express her emotions. he doesn’t pressure her, but seems to simply let her know that if she needs to talk (when she insists she’s fine), he is there.
four, MORE FLUSTERED RAYLLUM. YES. TY NYX but also fuck u for taking zym but also ur hot- A N Y W A Y
five. OOOOOOH. MY FAVORITE SCENE.
rayla’s crying and callum tries to reassure her. nyx is plotting, while rayla runs away and callum follows. Y E S.
rayla talks about how there’s nobody left that cares about her and she lost everything.. and then the SPEECH. i have this speech memorized i’ve watched this scene so many times
"JUST SHUT UP, YOU'RE TALKING CRAZY. JUST, LISTEN TO ME. YOU'RE TOO GOOD TO FEEL THIS BAD ABOUT YOURSELF. I KNOW THAT, AND YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT. YOU HAVE TRUE COURAGE, AND A BIG HEART! I'VE SEEN YOU GET KNOCKED DOWN SO MANY TIMES AND EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. YOU GET UP AGAIN. THAT'S REAL STRENGTH. AND.. AND YOU'RE TEN TIMES FUNNIER THAN ANY HUMAN I KNOW! chuckle SEE? SEE YOU KNOW YOU'RE AMAZING. YOU'RE SMART AND FAST AND BEAUTIFUL. RAYLA YOU'RE THE MOST AMAZING PERSON I'VE EVER MET."
Tumblr media
LOVE THEMMM
and then rayla kisses him and that’s all that happened. callum was not a dumbass. right? RIGHT???
5. MY FAVORITE EPISODE!
first, rayla saving callum from the soulfang serpents and callum helping her get up is AMAZING, LOVE THAT.
second, callum tryna get a good position and rayla j saying to hold onto her and callum GETTING FLUSTERED. BOY IS PINING also he didn’t have to hold her that close.
“I DON’T THINK OF HER THAT WAY” “YOU AND I DON’T HAVE THAT YET” LIAR.
three, THEM JUMPING OFF THE AMBLER AND. THAT WHOLE MOMENT? THE ROMANTIC TENSION IS KILLING ME
four. DAMN CALLUM RLLY DO BE HAVING HEART EYES @ RAYLA WHILE SHE KILLS LIKE 80 SOULFANGS HE IS PINING PART 2
five. THE SPEECH. THE SOFTNESS. THE KISSES. GOD DAMN. FAVORITE SCENE OUT OF THE ENTIRETY OF TDP. LOVE THEM.
also here you go again
Tumblr media
what can i say except YOU’RE WELCOME
6. ANGST BUT ALSO FLUFF ALSO REUNION
once again won’t b talking abt ezran specifically but there’s some passing mentions of him from now on
first, rayla and callum reaching the stone thunder and callum asking “is it... a statue?” and rayla sadly saying “no. it’s not a statue” A. I CRI.
1.5 ayla and callum best dragon parents
i’ll get to an actual analysis later
second, THIS MOMENT IS UNDERRATED EVEN THO IT’S ONE OF MY FAVS why has nobody mentioned the lil tender moment where ezran is by phoe-phoe and rayla puts her hand on callum’s shoulder AND CALLUM PUTS HIS HAND ON HERS. SO SWEET.
third, OK I’LL STOP MOST OF MY UNINTELLIGIBLE SHRIEKS AND ACTUALLY ANALYZE THIS.
callum is upset because of thunder and rayla sympathizes immediately. this is similar to how callum lets rayla let out her own emotions, and rayla is doing the same. he explains how he feels angry, upset, confused, sad, and rayla quickly empathizes. he keeps on venting, not knowing whether to feel regretful, or glad, and how he’s confused because that’s sarai’s spear. he feels sorry that all this happened, but rayla reassures him that zym and ezran are going to break the cycle! that’s hope! and then they hold hands and i screech
AND THAT’S SO FUCKING HEALTHY AND I LOVE IT. THEY RLLY BREAK ALL BAD HET RELATIONSHIP STEREOTYPES (coughbutistillheadcanonthembothasbiandcallumistransilldieonthishillcough)
7. angst but not rayllum angst so its ok
first, they begin to go up the storm spire and i really love their banter. “and i’m guessing the dragon queen didn’t make her den at a nice, halfway kinda place?” “nope. tiptop!”
cuties.
second, ASSDHFNF THE FACT THEY M O C K THE IDEA OF A FORBIDDEN RELATIONSHIP. THEY’RE IN LOVE AND THE WORLD CAN DEAL WITH IT. LOVE THAT FOR THEM
third, RAYLA CATCHING CALLUM. IT’S. NOT RLLY BIG I JUST LIKE IT AND THINK IT’S CUTE HOW EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS ALSO OUT OF BREATH SHE RAN UP TO CATCH HIM.
four, AHSDHGDHFG THEY DEADASS FORGOT EZRAN WAS THERE. more flustered rayllum i love that
8. FUCK IT’S RAYLLUM ANGST NOOOO
one, ibis is j a good boi. back to rayla and callum
two, rayla going in to see the dragon queen and when she runs out callum QUICKLY FOLLOWS to see if she’s ok. asks her if she’s ok, and she OPENS UP!! CHARACTER GROWTH BABY!!! and then they hold hands and i once again shriek
three, AH. HELLO ANGST.
before we go to the actual angst, can i say that THE LAUGH AFTER RAYLA SAID “STORM SNEEZE” IS SO CUTE. CALLUMS IN LOVE. MY SON.
oh no.
*bonks rayla on the head* nO SELF SACRIFICING!!
although their fight is super angsty and i hate it, it does provide some conflict and more plot because it gives callum a reason to want to find out the truth about rayla’s parents. and then he does! people argue that this fight was unnecessary or that callum was a jerk, but this was needed i think. he did let his worry become a bit of anger, and that was not a nice move, but he knows he fucked up and fixes it!
and then we get soft rayllum this is fine
9. AND YOU THOUGHT LAST EPISODE WAS BAD N O *CRYING*
there’s not much rayllum featured in this ep, but the amount we do get is 80 PERCENT ANGST AND I WASN’T OK WITH IT
first, the fluff! callum trying to do the wing spell and rayla teasing “did you pull a muscle in the middle of a jumping jack?” is so cute. i LOVE THEM. also they hold hands and i SH RIEK again.
also soren how dare you interrupt callum he was abt to confess
second, callum when he’s explaining the battle plan and his ZAP HAND. rayla is j watching him like “yep. that is my dork.”
and CALLUM SEEMS SO FOND WHEN JANAI CALLS RAYLA THE LAST DRAGONGUARD. PERHAPS I SOB
skipping forward in time a bit for the angst oh no
third, callum going up to the storm spire after ez encouraging him to go to rayla. love that soft brotherly relationship. and we think “oh, soft rayllum, right?”
NO. VIREN’S UP THERE.
fourth, THEY DIDN’T NEED ME TO BE ROLLING ON THE FLOOR WTF. the fact that rayla’s blade went right in front of callum and he looks up and sees zym in danger, viren is there, and RAYLA is there, p a n i k.
and then rayla jumps and the entire rayllum fandom SC REAMS after callum’s “no!” before she jumps and “no, no, no, RAYLA!”
fifth, CALLUM NO WHY ARE YOU JUMPING TOO- oh wait its ok he did the wings and im still crying fuck
THAT CONFESSION THO- i cri tears of joy now. they’re in love
sixth, I J WANNA KNOW WHAT THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT BEFORE EZRAN SHOWED UP. like it’s clear that they’re talking or something, but abt what is the question. also yes they hug and raylas fond
seventh, THEY HOLD HANDS!! soft bbs,,,
AAAND IM DONE! this is. quite long so if you read all of this i hope u have a good day and thnx for listening to me ramble with some coherent thoughts

Watchthroughs
Yes it’s been awhile, whoops
So! Due to Netflix Being Netflix and power rangers leaving on feb 1. We’ve had to go swerve for that.
Time Force: it’s real good, one of power rangers best. I think i prefer Jungle Fury overrall But, Time force has a stronger Endgame, and some Really solid acting. Would recc both
Dino Charge 1-12: It’s good, i adore Koda. I’m also fond of tyler. (I’ve also watched his actor’s commentary of ep 1-5. It’s great)
Chou Diend Episode Yellow: This is Not a Den o movie, i mean it is but, Daiki stole this. I love you you absolutely rediculous disaster gay.
This was great, Absolutely rediculous, but great.
Bonus: this entire movie was caused by JUGGLUS JUGGLER. (Takaya Aoyagi plays the cop who caused the entire movie. Yes he’s an extra but still)

Hello! I'm a (former?) star wars fan who was utterly devastated by TRoS and had to take an indefinite break from the fandom as a result. During lockdown I discovered kdramas and they're my new obsession! I saw that you recommended Coffee Prince and My Love from the Star in a post. I've already seen and loved those (and my own current favourites include Are You Human and Hwayugi) so I was wondering if you could recommend a few more? Thank you!!
Coitenly! /curly
Her Private Life- my new favourite. The curator of an art museum leads a secret double life as a hardcore kpop fangirl; both her identities get off on entirely the wrong foot with famous artist Ryan Gold who has been suffering from an art block caused by the same mysterious painting she’s determined to buy for her idol oppa. If you want a funny, fluffy, character-driven romance where you can really love the leads and will never want to strangle them: this is your show. It is the most purely enjoyable romcom drama ever imo, there’s none of the frustration over ridiculous behaviour or contrived stakes that you typically have to deal with and it has a satisfying, perfect ending. The villains all aren’t so bad after all, everyone gets an arc, the gentle little mystery has a happy resolution, and it’s just about some people facing their issues and helping each other grow. It was very healing to watch in this media climate.
The plot is nothing to write home about and includes a unneeded kdrama cliché towards the end (well-handled and not dragged out, so I forgive it), but the real ‘story’ is the character development and the plot is just a frame to hang that on. Overrall, it’s incredibly refreshing because of the high quality characters and the emotional maturity of the relationship. The leads have insane chemistry, the sexual tension is legit palpable, and the intimacy once they get together is genuinely next level; they are so natural and so endearing it feels like they’re not acting. Ryan Gold is also the best boyfriend in kdrama history and is played by the world’s most beautiful living man, Kim Jae Wook, whom you’ll recognise as our Waffle-kun Sun Ki from Coffee Prince. So it’s got that going for it as well.
Other romcoms: Sungkynkwan Scandal (historical disguise romance! girl needs to dress up as a guy to take the national exam so she can support her family, shenanigans ensue), My Princess (normal girl discovers she’s a lost princess, the guy her ascension will disinherit is in charge of grooming her for the role- it’s cute), Prime Minister & I (contract marriage), What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim (I think this show is pretty overrated but it’s definitely a fun, low-stakes romance with lots of fluff and lots of kissing and we probably all need a bit of that right now).
Change of pace:
Tell Me What You Saw- this is for my clannibals. Crime drama about a green country cop getting tied up in the apparent resurfacing of a famous serial killer who is officially supposed to be dead. She was driven to become a police officer to solve the hit-and-run death of her mother, but she hasn’t made it out of her home town. Then a body is dumped in her neighbourhood and her photographic memory of the scene draws the attention of the big city team leader. Said team leader takes her to meet the reclusive, ex-detective criminal profiler who originally worked the serial killer case.
A bond develops where she acts as his eyes and ears in the field and he trains her to observe like a detective, but our recluse is a very damaged dude and he’s not exactly being forthcoming about his real agenda.
This show has plot and logic issues, sometimes to its profound detriment, but the characters are extremely strong and everything else about it is fucking A+. Atmosphere, acting, action, pacing, intrigue, etc. are all fantastic. The ending was also unexpectedly wonderful and I was so grateful for that. Oh Hyun Jae (the profiler) is a secretive, broken, lonely, manipulative genius who is always fifteen steps ahead of everyone else and I find that very, very sexy of him. He is an anti-hero for most of the series and contrasts with our more idealistic protagonist both in that and in other more subtle ways. Their relationship is super interesting and I ship them really hard.
My Country- I’ll just tell you that the main characters are a mess and the plot leaves a lot to be desired, but watch it for Bang-won. He is a sad angry murder prince and he’s amazing. The whole show is peak eye candy throughout, every episode looks like an epic film with insane production value, so if you want quality action spectacle with a dangerous hot woobie way more interesting than the leads who seems to have wandered in from an infinitely better story to replace the ST- you’re set. Great news, he’s a real historical figure and became king, so they can’t kill him off.

Note
(1) coming from an hardcore felix fan.... youre so valid? i am quite torn of what his overrall premise is a character other than "lila but it's adrien with terrible hair" and after watching the episode so many times i realized its quite literally an acid trip tbh. i also relate SO MUCH on his smirk at the end of the episode??? i cant really come to terms on what they wanna do w him but i think they never really did in the first place and didn't have better ideas in mind?
(2) all i know is that i pray everyday for season 4 to not be a massive disappointment and giving me an actual character and distance him from his lila genderbend situation... focusing on more little things that make me like him. as problematic as he is i am kind of attached to felix? (even made and oc x canon with him 😶) and this waiting for his next appearance gives me anxiety everytime i think about it ngl... i wanna end this w saying that i love your blog n youre the validest lila stan ok
ahaha so what I meant by the smirk thing was that, in Volpina, when Lila says "we'll never be friends" it shows that unlike other akuma victims who realise they were wrong or forgive or w/e, Lila is vindictive. It's something new about her because we knew she was upset over being humiliated but the status quo of the show has been to have the akuma victim come around in the end so we might expect she will too.
In comparison when Felix smirks, it tells us that he's smug about stealing the ring from Gabriel... But he's already been pretty smug about his sneaky behaviour all through the episode. The episode is a bit weird because we don't see a lot of Felix's true face, only really him insulting Adrien's friends including Chloe and deleting their messages? Everything else he does around other people so I can't really tell if him for example calling out to Hawkmoth to say he wants to join him is him being serious in a way or just trying to cause a scene? Or if his relationship with his mother is even genuinely what it appears, he stole the ring for her but is he really happy to be used like a minion like that? idk
I totally understand just really liking a character and not really knowing why aha! I always get attached to characters and sometimes it's just a 'love at first sight' thing where some early moment makes me obsessed. I'm really hoping Felix can get more character development and be more interesting in his own right too. Him and Lila are supposed to be playing an "important role" in s4 and we may see them interact, which ideally would show them contrasting/clashing over differences. I'm kinda just on the fence about Felix I can see him being great but he's not quite there yet and I can't understand people who bash Lila and say Felix is smarter cuz he hasn't really been shown to be any better or worse for example.

Andi Mack Season 2 Final Reaction :
CeCe Storyline: YASSS, I have loved CeCe’s storyline since s2 started she has came such a long way. When she told Bex that the Hotel room was out of her Price Range y’all I was screaming. But also just how happy she was when Bex said she was going to marry Bowie. I was crying REAL tears honey.
Bowie & Bex Storyline: Soooooo, I hate cliffhangers... I really do I wanted Bowie & Bex to be endgame FINALLY after so many episodes of watching them be in love I was for sure I was getting an endgame this episode. But NO Terri had to leave me in tears. You guys when the screen went black after he found the ring in the cake I was screaming. If 3x01 doesn’t start off with their wedding I’m suing EVERYONE.
Andi & Bex Storyline: So Andi & Bex has always had an amazing relationship but, this episode we see how far they come since 1x01. I’m still mad they left the kitchen so nasty my OCD was acting up y’all. But watching them plan the engagement together was so cute (almost as cute as her helping Bowie). Also just how on sync they are as mother and daughter & when Andi asked “I thought we didn’t know how to cook.” And Bex replied “ I guess we were just to lazy.” I FELT THAT IN MY SOUL.
TJ & Buffy Storyline: I have to TALK ABOUT THE APOLOGY RAP before anything lol. So my son TJ literally rapped an apology to Buffy when I was shook it took me alll the way by surprise LMFAO. So the Buffy & TJ feud has been put to bed finally and I’m so here for it. Also MY GIRL BUFFY OUT HERE MAKING HISTORY! She will be the captain of the 1st Jefferson girls Basketball team. I was soft when she dragged TJ bye his wig during their little basketball game. I would really love to see the relationship grow even more.
Cyrus & TJ Storyline: SIS!!!! WTF!!!! OMFG!!! We’re literally my only reactions. So we start off with Cyrus calling TJ cute and bragging about how much he has changed which had me jumping up in down. Can you guys imagine TJ running to Cyrus after class showing him that he got a C on his math test (IM WEAK!). Now this episode feed US (Tyrus shippers) SOME WELL DESERVED CONTENT. I loved the gym since & THE HEIGHT DIFFERENCE is the best thing EVERY! But I HATE that we didn’t get our clear look back. I just don’t think it’s fair that we got a clear Jandi look back but not a Tyrus one. Like I said a few paragraphs ago I HATE CLIFFHANGERS! But I’m okay I will put my trust in Terri one last time if this Tuffy vs. Tyrus stuff is not resolved in s3 I WILL CATCH A FLIGHT TO FIGHT!!
Overrall: I would say a 9.5 out 10 (because I didn’t get my Bexie endgame & my CANNON TYRUS look back.)

Initial Thoughts on The Dragon Prince
Spoilers abound, as this review will be covering all nine episodes!!!
TLDR: I love it, watch it watch it WATCH IT
When we first saw trailers for the Dragon Prince, there was a certain amount of backlash regarding the framerate and the 3D animation. I hoped and I prayed that I wouldn’t be too put off by however it turned out...and for the most part, my prayers were answered! There is some really wonderful background art, special effects for magic and other elements--and the 3D animation is fluid and distinct. Some models look a tad strange (Callum’s particularly at times), but it doesn’t detract from the experience.
The writing is tooled to attempt to charm you at every turn; with its world, it’s characters and the unfolding narrative. It succeeds in so many areas, not surprising considering the dialogue and narrative genius of the ATLA execs, but there are times when that charm comes to its detriment. There are some pacing issues at the beginning and at the end--moments of conflict that aren’t properly paced. I felt much of this improper pacing was due to flashbacks that didn’t feel necessary or deserved, certain laundry lists that needed checking before we could move forward to the fun stuff. I love these characters, I love the world that has been created...and despite the awkward moments I am truly invested in the show’s future.
Much of these problems come from my own expectations about what a show like this should be. I’m an avid Avatar fan, but I did my best to turn off my nostalgia glasses and allowed myself to enjoy a kid’s show. I feel as if we’ll be dealing with ‘it’s not as good as Avatar!’ comments in the near future, and I want to be the first to say: It’s not Avatar, it’s not trying to be Avatar, and it will be amazing and awesome in ways Avatar wasn’t. You know, even if Sokka voices Callum.
Character-wise, I feel we are on track to see some serious character growth and expansion. It is surprising in a good way to see the standard TDP puts for it’s place as a kid’s show...Harrow telling Callum that children are ‘freer than kings’ is seriously heartbreaking and puts perspective on the entire war between humans and Xadia. Everyone is doing something terrible, even if they’re for good reasons. TDP sells to us that the world has some serious grey lines, and Rayla’s journey to defying her role as an assassin is compelling. She takes the role as the squad’s most dangerous and skilled warrior, a good source of lore, intrigue and greatest potential for growth. Callum isn’t #sadboy, we slowly see more of Ezran than the cute comic relief, and antagonists like Viren, Soren and Claudia have more to them than big bad usurpers to the Kalatis Throne.
This is only book one, and there are only nine episodes. It’s very hard to generate a solid idea of what this show is going to be. But if they are making more, then we are going to need WAY more than three-four books (considering episode size). Much of Book 1 has been set-up, as three of nine episodes was all concerning the night of the assassination and kept giving us exposition. I think from here on, TDP has a lot of room for growth as a series and as a world.
I’m a sucker for fantasy like this, especially with cool ideas likeomigodthemoonshadowelveshavemultipurposeweaponsandsomeofthemspeakinginIRISH/SCOTTISHACCENTSnottomentiontheyhavesnowmantraditionsandUGGGGH SOME OF IT IS SO GOOD. Plus, they have a badass lady warrior who speaks in sign language, a cute ass translator (Runaan is bae) and...and so much! I just hope they improve some of the 3D animation and make it mesh more with the background art. I would love to see some of the other human kingdoms or get a map of how far the squad has gone so far. Overrall, it’s a little unsteady as most season 1s are...but what we have seen, what has surprised me so much about the nuance and comedy and character in this has made me more than willing to stick around and grow the fandom. Well done, @dragonprinceofficial . Let’s give them a hand for all of their hard work!

Black Mirror S4 E1 ‘USS Callister’
Tumblr media
Netflix content has really stepped up its game with it’s content, i have followed Black Mirror since the first series and now that its with Netflix, it’s reached its real potential.
‘USS Callister’ is the first episode of the fourth series and is the first christmas themed episode. Like most of the Black Mirror episodes it deals with realistic but advanced technology, this time in the form of a science fiction (star trek inspired) online game called Infinity.
The show gives us what we believe to be the main character Robert Daly, the person who coded the game. he’s a nerd who everyone treds on at work and is made to look under appreciated.. however the story soon twists to reveal that he is in fact the villain of the story.
Running at 1hr 16mins, this is a film in its own right and feels like a real sci fi epic.
The character building here is sensational, and it helps that they have used a fantastic cast which includes Jesse Plemons as Robert Daly, Cristin Milioti as Nanette Cole, Jimmi Simpson as James Walton, Michaela Coel as Shania Lowry, Billy Magnussen as Valdack and also cameos from Aaron Paul as Gamer691 and also Kirsten Dunst  (who i didn’t actually spot!)
It’s comedic take on Star Trek does actually remind me of Galaxy Quest, there are some small notable Star Wars nods too & the plot does feel like it nods to The Neverending Story at times as well.
The score is another thing that suprised me here, it felt very epic at times and i forgot that it was a mock of Star Trek and generally it looked much better than the current Star Trek series on Netflix right now.
The storytelling is fantastic, it does very well to set up every little plot detail and its left me wanting more of this particular world thats been set up.
I love the contrast between the world and the game and it does set up this idea that this is a successful game where people are able to escape this grim looking real world (that probably isn’t that much different to our world)
Overrall i am not sure how they are going to top this episode, its the first one and it already is the best Black Mirror episode so far, and it feels like they wanted to put the best one first to make an impression so it’s going to be very interesting moving forward here.
The Score
★★★★½
‘One of the best TV series episodes ever’

13 reasons why
*DO NOT READ IF YOU DONT WANT TO SEE ANY SPOILERS* so after everyone talking about this show i decided to binge watch it within a few days. at first it was interesting, the story telling is probably my favorite part about this series. each episode keeps me wanting more and more until i reached the last episode and was furious. i don't really know where to start other than i have to say i am not a fan of hannah. and i think her reasons for suicide were completely blown out of proportion and in her case suicide was very unnecessary. i don't really think people really can judge a persons reasons for suicide but i just couldn't help but have a very sour taste in my mouth when i thought about hannah. she really frustrated me. and what made it worse is that there are teenagers, and other people like her. i'll just start with what i didn't like about her tapes, which i think all of them were completely unnecessary to be honest. 1) why the fuck was clay on the tapes. i will never understand this. i understand she didn't know how to tell him she loved him or wanted to love him because she was embarrassed by all the rumors and what not, but come on. he didn't do anything to her and she was a complete botch to him. yet she still wanted him to fight for her more. i thought he was a great friend and always looked out for her and was there when she needed him she pushed him away every.single.time. what else do you expect from a person? i was just heartbroken watching clay blame himself throughout the series because he truly believed it was his fault she killed herself. 2)alex - yes he put her name on a stupid list he showed around school claiming she had "the best ass" oh well get over it. i'm sorry, but this was blown way out of proportion to me. i don't agree with what alex did at all. but hannah took it way too seriously and instead of moving on she made everyday about that list and held onto it like she was the only one on the list. i just didn't think he should have been on the tapes for that. he also went into depression from the tapes and ended up killing himself which really bothered me because that could have been avoided if she didn't blow the list thing out of proportion and make it all about her and like the school was attacking her. i could go on... 3) jessica's rape-this really really bothered me. hannah goes on in her tapes about the people who hurt her and judges them for the things they did. i mean she literally blames them for her suicide. but what she did was by far the worst thing any friend can do. she watched her friend get raped. and she never called the police. never told anyone. also that same night her other friend hits a stop sign and hannah blames her for not calling the police right then and there. also , that same friend who hit the stop sign was on the tapes too. ugh, i just don't understand how someone can be so self-absorbed. but i guess this is a teenager. another thing i didn't like about jessica's rape was hannah told JESSICAS STORY of her rape were everyone who got the tapes heard and she made it her own story. that pissed me off. that was jessica's story to tell and her own thing to deal with it and hannah made it all about her because she couldn't call the police after watching her friend get raped. 4) courtney,tyler- it was like she wanted revenge on them. she told courtney's story too on the tapes that she's gay. another thing that wasn't her business to tell. also tyler took a picture of her and courtney kissing because he was a weird stalker guy for the school yearbook. the picture got out and no one even knew it was her. so why blow that out of proportion? at the same time tell the world that someone is gay. that was her thing to share and she obviously wasn't ready to share that. also she shared courtney was the other girl in the picture. so basically doing the same thing that was done to her, and also one of the reasons she killed herself. 5) the ending- the last two episodes i was so angry i could barely keep watching. episode 11 hannah loses money from her parents deposit and again acts like the world is over and she's a fuck up blah blah...she ends up taking a walk to BRYCES house. bryce is the guy who raped jessica, who hannah WATCHED rape jessica. also by this time hannah claims she can't trust any of these people so 1) why go to another party with people you "can't trust" and 2) why go a fucking rapists house. i was ready to give up. end of episode 11 she gets raped by bryce which of course is traumatizing in itself and is definately a reason someone would want to kill themselves. but why on earth go to a fucking rapists house in the first place and then make these stupid tapes because of what happened to you when you continuously kept going back to these so called horrible people who you blame for your suicide. ugh. episode 12 she gives her life one more chance and decides to meet with the school counselor. i thought he was a great counselor and did everything he could. for one, she barely opens up to him but he keeps prompting her. she tells him she was raped and asks if she reports it he has to promise the guy who raped her will go to jail and nothing will happen to her. obviously thats unrealistic and he tells her that and gives her options. he's honest and tells her a rape case is dangerous and there's no gurantee she's gonna get what she wants. he tells he she can also walk away and move on with her life. she doesn't like what she hears and puts him on the last tape. that really bothered me. overrall i understand this is a teenager struggling with bullying and depression as well as rape at the end. it's no secret teenagers are notorious for being self absorbed and unrealistic. but i don't understand what the message was for this show? was it to show collateral damage of suicide? the scene where her parents found her bleeding out in the bath tub was horrific and i ended up disliking hannah even more for that. i thought the only thing hannah accomplished was make people feel worse about themselves. yes i don't agree with bullying but hannah literally kept going after these people basically begging for friendship but in the end told all their secrets and blamed them for her suicide, so how can she put herself on a pedastool. how can anyone? i don't see her as a likeable character at all. she watched her fri get raped and possibly lead another guy to his suicide. and she had friends and good parents. she had clay which was a really good friend. she wanted to be popular and have all the attention on her and when she didn't get that she decided to end her life, as well as causing pain to many other people. i think it was all unnecessary and i hope the message was what suicide does to the people who are left behind and not what high school bullying does because this was not an appropriate portrayal of bullying to me. anyway that was long and a lot of banter but i hope i got my point across and open to any other opinions.
