Prepostmasterialoutrollologicalrugolosity (noun) pre·post·mas·ter·i·al·out·roll·o·log·i·cal·ru·gol·os·i·ty /prē-pōst-mas-tə-rē-əl-ˌaut-rōl-ō-ˈlä-jik-əl-ˌru-gə-ˈlä-sə-tē/
The state or quality associated with the transitional processes governing the preparation, execution, and subsequent organizational review of postal functions, particularly as they relate to the systematic outrolling (dispatch or distribution) of mail and associated communications, often involving the oversight or participation of a postmaster or related authority figure.
A condition or phenomenon arising from the interaction of logistical frameworks, regulatory protocols, and the organizational complexities of communication networks, marked by an emphasis on the structured flow and curvature of tasks, akin to the layered, complex structure of rugola (a metaphorical allusion to intricate, folding patterns of responsibility within bureaucratic systems).

Welcome, Future Scholars, to the Collapse of Earth Studies Seminar Lecture 42: Postmaster, Outrolling, Rugola, and Climate Change—The End of Earth as a Social Experiment
Good evening, distinguished survivors! Today, we embark on the last obligatory intellectual exercise of dissecting the masterstroke of humanity’s collapse. Specifically, we turn our attention to the pivotal trifecta of Postmaster, Outrolling, and Rugola—yes, the holy trinity responsible for the definitive plunge of Earth into climate catastrophe and the subsequent decline of life as we once pretended to know it.
Postmaster: The Architect of Irrelevance
It’s hard to believe now, but there was once a time when communication required a network of dedicated overseers known as the "Postmasters." They ruled over digital correspondence with all the benevolence of a caffeinated dictator, ensuring that emails and messages arrived only 72 hours later than they were intended. Yet, as the planet slowly broiled under intensifying heat, Postmasters felt their responsibility shift—no longer delivering mail but the undeniable doom of missed carbon deadlines. The final straw? The Postmaster Corps decided that effective communication was irrelevant. “Who needs fast data when you’re sinking into the sea?” they declared, their motto proudly emblazoned on their sinking headquarters.
Outrolling: The Solution to All Problems, Except Every Problem
And then, there was Outrolling—a groundbreaking policy that promised to roll out green initiatives faster than humans could roll over in their graves. The irony? The rolling was literal. Thousands of wind turbines and solar panels were installed with great fanfare, but none were connected. But hey, why actually harness energy when you can just let them roll out aesthetically? The government decided to 'outroll' green tech in barren deserts, the bottom of oceans, and for some reason, next to suburban spas. The result: record-breaking renewable energy potential, with precisely zero useable output. Outrolling remains in history as humanity’s most brilliant plan to delay meaningful action while looking eco-conscious.
Rugola: The Last (and Worst) Food Trend
And finally, let us not forget Rugola, Earth’s last attempt at sustainable food before everything edible was charbroiled by climate collapse. You’ve heard of arugula? Well, its descendant Rugola was hailed as “the green of the future” for its ability to withstand droughts and nuclear fallout. Sadly, its taste was often compared to chewing on a tire fire. The people, of course, loved it—because what could be more avant-garde than dying of dehydration with a plate full of inedible, carbon-capturing leaves?
As global temperatures rose, so did Rugola's fame. It became the last crop before Earth’s soil turned to ash, proudly displayed at five-star restaurants while the rest of civilization devolved into eating shoe leather—because let’s be honest, they weren’t that different.
The Climate Change Finale: We Never Really Stood a Chance
Let’s wrap this up—like the species did, prematurely. It’s not just the rise of Postmasters who prioritized nothingness, or the Outrolling of pointless tech, or even the heroic attempts to market Rugola as the food of the end times that sealed humanity’s fate. It was the collective belief that aesthetic gestures could save a planet without real change. Who knew that when the Earth went down in flames, it would be so on-brand?
And so, dear survivors, as we float through the vast emptiness, let us toast (in recycled oxygen, of course) to the Earth that was, and to humanity’s undying commitment to form over function. Truly, we were the most stylish extinction.

edinburgh chronicle update!! in which del bleeds sunlight and the coterie takes on petaniqua
tw: self-harm
it's the coterie (del, mitra, sami, bene) + tara (del's fiance) + justicar lucinde and a couple other allies vs. petaniqua and four (4) black spiral dancers. we're in petaniqua's domain, deep belowground in some old mining tunnels. lucinde's on petaniqua, everyone else on the BSDs, and del's covering tara while she finishes a ritual to destroy petaniqua's last remaining font of power
petaniqua evades lucinde by setting her aflame, drops a knife at del's feet, and does some baali shit to command del to carve her fae True Name into her own flesh. she outrolls del, who watches in horror as her hands move against her will to begin carving aelsidhe (her estranged fae soul)'s name into her forearm. she can't take any other actions until this is finished
mitra uses horrid reality (chimerstry) to craft an illusion that everyone can see but is only materially real to petaniqua: where del's vitae flows from her wounds it spills not as blood, but sunlight. and petaniqua burns
del finishes her carving and, free to act of her own volition again, amputates that arm at the elbow and kicks the discarded limb into the flames so petaniqua can't have it
the rest of the coterie and allies take out the BSDs and sami creates an opening for lucinde to grapple petaniqua. del gets a scorpionated blood (blood sorcery) + sunlight illusion double whammy in on petaniqua. we need to stake her but she's ritually protected against staking. hm. good thing mitra's got horrid reality <3 his illusion isnt a real stake, but it's real to petaniqua, and that's all it takes. he stakes her, she's paralyzed, and del gets to give petaniqua her final message:
before we send you off to whatever tar pit a slug like you spends the rest of eternity rotting in, just wanna make sure you know that the moment this became inevitable was the night you let your stupid fucking dog murder my sister. all your thousands of years haunting this miserable earth, and for what? to be brought down by a handful of neonates for one mortal teenager. fuck you.
lucinde hands her an arcane dagger enchanted for just this purpose, and del plunges it through petaniqua's eye and into her brain. she screams and shrieks and thrashes as del make scrambled eggs of her brain, then dissolves into a mountain of ash
it's over. after 27 years, it's over.
except it isn't.
petaniqua didn't need to see del's true name. it was the knife she made del use to carve it. petaniqua's master, the demon foebok, wyrm of fear, has it. and with it he now knows where to find aelsidhe
countdown to the final battle begins.
#this was the big final culmination of del's individual arc. petaniqua was her big bad#but the main shared threat the coterie still needs to tackle together is foebok. and they need a chrysalized delsidhe for that#could not be happier with the end of the petaniqua arc ahhhhhhhh#del's refusal to be denied her autonomy under any circumstances makes me so feral man. girl whos a rabid animal caught in a bear trap#she'll chew off a limb threaten to kill herself or just straight up do it before she'll be backed into a corner#insane. batshit. rotating her at maximum velocity#HER BLOOD WAS SUNLIGHT. MITRA YOUR MIND#del#vtm#edinburgh by night

The "Siete rolled too high during character creation" is so real
Some friends and I played a tabletop RPG not unlike DnD but not quite DnD and one of my friends made a white mage character and rolled super high so her character ended up having high charisma and intelligence as well as high strength, which is kind of a dump stat for wizards but not this one. This one is buff as hell
It was just fun, she just routinely outrolled out fucking fighters in tests of strength and could also do magic, it was hilarious
oh my god??? that's so funny. Just stacked luck from the start that makes the game smoothsailing but with some wacky stuff just because the stats are so high.
Some people are just that lucky huh. Amazing.

I said it in another post but part of what attracted me to RWBY was hold rough around the edges it could be. It was clear from Episode 1 that this was a Web Series as Web Series get with a lot of passion from those all but just getting starting in writing and animation.
A show can have the biggest of budget and all the time in the world but without heart or a real creative drive, it won't really be much in the end. Yet even with those stumbling blocks, RWBY has always kept me hooked in for the long haul because I feel that creative drive.
I feel like RWBY being Crunchyroll too was to its benefit but came at a price as so many seemed to unfairly compare it to other Anime streaming at the time on that platform. Anime by far more experienced studios in animation. So outrolled the comparisons so often approaching RWBY not for what it was but for what it wasn't.
I always recommend RWBY Volume 1 with just a caveat. That it's no Disney spectacle but a passion project. Emphasis on "passion."
A... smaller, more honest soul one might put it.
Just saw someone comment that Arcane is what RWBY wishes it could be and …
Yeah, I’m sure CRWBY would have loved to have had billions of dollars at their disposal for their project.
Yeah I’m sure they would have loved to have not suffered the loss of a dear friend who they helped create the world with.
Yeah I’m sure they would’ve loved having years to work on a season instead of nine months.
But also, RWBY started out as a low budget web series that has gotten so very popular throughout its ten years that it’s gotten DC comics, two manga adaptations, anthology collections, crossover movies with the JL, an anime side story, two video games, a Japanese dub, and nine seasons (so far) of a main series.
I’d say they’re doing alright.
i have never understood this fixation people have on never being satisfied with just enjoying something, they have to use their enjoyment of that thing to shit on something else, and with animation that is always RWBY, because it's the designated target that everyone who's never watched it 'knows' is bad so they don't have to think critically about its success or how its origins might have shaped it
meanwhile I'm over here, not being a bitter, pretentious, self-involved jackwad

Guess who managed to beat the Red Mist! Binah’s floor basically did 90% of the work. Degraded Pillar, Chain and Lock really just shut down most high damage attacks.

Outrolls Snapshot Collection Here's another VP from my private collection. I looked at it again and realized that it is also part of Outrolls. I love creating lifelike snapshots. They seem real, human and private. Far from the professionalism in public. It's like a snapshot of friends, of your partner. A memory of beautiful moments. "Do you remember that night? We were so high!" It gives the lore even more depth and personality. Just like Kerry and V are.
