My pride and joy is that somebody who bought this mousepad from me took it to one of Andrew Prahlow (the composer)'s Outer Wilds orchestra events and got it signed by the man himself ;____;
(ps the blanks for this mousepad are still out of stock but i've signed up with an alternative supplier so I have an alternative shop entry until the usual ones come back. Hopefully it's still as good. <3)

hi !!! i saw les mis tonight and for broadway cares for AIDS they did a fundraising thing and i donated 50 dollars for a les mis-tery box and in it was a postcard of your kitty miserables (and other things ofc like stickers and costume swatches)!! and i went OH I FOLLOW THIS PERSON ON TUMBLR !!!!
AHHH YAY THEY'RE OUT IN THE WILD! (Thank you for donating!) It's wild for my art to exist in the outer world. And yes, Les Mis is partnering with Broadway Cares to raise money for important healthcare and AIDs-related causes. They opened it up for fans to submit designs for charity-merch, I submitted, and they've let me know they're selling these two pieces of my art as postcard prints:

So if anyone goes to see Les Mis: donate to Broadway Cares to buy official Les Mis Mellow Merch! XD

If you have one of those friends who never shuts up about Outer Wilds, now is the time to gift them an original emote set while helping a small artist.
This pack of emotes is 500 x 500 px and can be used on Twitch and Discord.
(This is not official merch. i just made these to share my hyperfixation with others)

Ep 297: The Ghost Ship Carroll A. Deering
"Like a ‘Flying Dutchman,’ the five-masted schooner Carroll A. Deering loomed through the mists about Diamond Shoals today, all sails set, but un-manned."  -- The Washington Herald, February 3, 1921
Description:
In 1921, a five-masted schooner emerged from the mists of North Carolina’s treacherous coast - a floating tomb devoid of life. Eleven souls had vanished without a trace, leaving behind an eerie tableau of abandonment. We delve into this chilling mystery tonight and attempt to unravel a web of bizarre clues: inexplicably damaged equipment, missing shore boats, and whispers of aberrant crew behavior from passing ships. Was it a bloodthirsty mutiny? Ruthless pirates? A clandestine rum-running operation gone awry? Or perhaps something far more sinister lurks in human nature’s depths - or beyond? The Carroll A. Deering is a haunting mystery, reminding us that some secrets of the sea may never be fully uncovered, leaving our imaginations to run wild with unsettling possibilities.

The Why Files: Operation Podcast
Like many podcasts, the Why Files covers conspiracies, aliens, time travel, and ancient civilizations. Some people are very serious about this stuff. They believe every detail, even if the details don't quite add up. Others tear the stories apart. What fun is that? The Why Files is different. First, they explore the mystery, and then together, we separate fact from fiction and see what's left. Some legends can't be debunked. And those are their favorites. The Why Files is available on Spotify or anywhere you get your podcasts. The X Files said the truth is out there, but the Why Files says the truth is right here.

Prints & Merch
Hey all! I have a print shop!
ABOUT
Downtown Coolsville is a little art collective I've made with some local friends; we get together approximately monthly to create art together as a fun casual hangout. It started with following watercolour tutorials as a group, but evolved into us doing our separate projects side by side, and deciding to open a lil store together. We also occasionally have booths at markets in our local area in Ontario.
ORIGINALS
I don't have my wood-mounted originals up there yet, but I will soon! Those are the actual original painting so they are each unique and will cost more. Additionally since they have a little more weight to them, shipping costs might be higher, particularly outside of Canada.
PRINTS
For prints, clothing, mousepads, etc, it's print-on-demand, which means:
Shipping will take a little longer because it'll take a week or so to get printed first.
The service I use has global locations, so depending on your address when you buy a thing, they'll try to print it as local to you as possible to reduce shipping/customs/time.
Caveat to the above: some stuff like mousepads (such as my Outer Wilds solar system one) are only made in the US. (Also currently been out of stock all month! 😭)
I'm based in Canada myself but anything print-on-demand will come from this service.
There's options for prints to come with simple frames, etc.
Also, I'm really happy to help out anybody if they have questions about setting up print shops! I just do this as a fun little hobby, and my knowledge is limited to my experiences and research, but I get joy out of helping people out and really don't mind any questions.

As promised, the Outer Wilds shop update wahoo! (Forgive the ugly photo for the sticker sheet, I'm currently out of town so this was the photo I can get until I get home)
Shop Link: jasminebythebay.etsy.com
Note regarding the standee: This is probably the only batch that I will make of these. I'm not too happy with how they came out so I'm selling them at a large discount and I intend to rework it in the future.

It happened again.
6 months ago, youtuber/twitch streamer Shammy posts a review for the game Stray, where his sponsor is a vibrator company. At the end of the video he announces he's trans. Incidentally, he's the one who got Ultrakill to add buttplug support because he memed too hard, or whatever...
He releases a video today to ostensibly review Outer Wilds. He's talking in what I'm guessing is meant to be his "girl voice" the whole time. The first several minutes are about merch, including trans flag stuff and an "ironic" sexy fursona (feathersona? Shammy's thing is owls), then he starts talking about the game... and about halfway through he veers off into this mental breakdown rant that feels completely disconnected from whatever he was talking about before.
The speech that dominated most of the "review" is supposed to be about how the game makes you feel like you don't matter, but it only really comes off as this guy having a total existential crisis and nihilistic panic attack because his mental health is not good, to say the least, which he confirms repeatedly.
And don't get me wrong, Outer Wilds is a phenomenal game, but it's not one that's supposed to make you feel small and unimportant and worthless, and then tells you that's okay. It's not an existential crisis simulator. Whatever the fuck Shammy got out of it is almost entirely because he's got some very real problems of his own to deal with.
And there's nothing wrong or bad about that, but I've seen this song and dance before. I've seen multiple e-celeb types, usually autistic, depressed, ADHD, lonely, and getting no sort of help besides seeking validation online by trying to be irreverent funnymen, and then they snap... and they go with the one solution that won't actually help: They decide to transition. Unfortunately because the internet is a terrible place, they find instant additional validation, glorification, even, in the arms of the trans fandom.
Shammy has people who unironically call him "furry vore mommy" and that seems like an unhelpful thing for an openly and deeply unwell person to be marinating in every day. Especially when his problems have clearly not gone away, and he's replaced addressing those problems with flaunting a weird porn addiction and making that his entire personality.
I hope he's able to be happy someday, but it's depressing that someone having a mental breakdown, especially after the Coof Pandemic, and then going trans has become a cliched outcome for so many people these days.
