The Top Ten Games of PAX East 2023
PAX East 2023 ended a couple of days ago, and while it suffered a bit to the still-lingering specter of COVID and the unfortunate timing of being held at the same time as GDC, this year’s event felt like a grand return to form. While there are still  notable absences that were felt (still hoping for that Indie Megabooth comeback), there was an incredible amount of amazing games to be seen, and so like with PAX West 2022 last year, we wanted to celebrate by once again picking our ten favorite games from the show.
Check them out!

Pick-A-Card : Why will your future spouse choose you ? ✧°•
✧ Here's my masterlist for more !
✧ Make sure you like/follow/Comment/reblogg for more pacs like these !
Pick-A-Pile : Here's a new pick card reading for you all ! So close your eyes and breathe in and out then choose pile(s) attracting you most . This is a general reading so it may resonate and not , my readings are not the universal truth so make your decisions wisely 🖤✨️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
✧ Pile 1.
Namaste pile 1 ! Let's begin with your reading:
Your future spouse choose you because among all you were the one who didn't pay a lot attention to his charm and ignored him ,according to them you seem to be playing to get hard. I see that you two have similar thoughts making you compatible all around with each other also I see that they already thought to choose you long before you even know them but they didn't knew how to approach you and confess their feeling . I'm getting that they are someone who are new and someone you don't know at all most probably. This is hilarious and cute at the same time because you are in their thoughts everytime , they feel that undeniable connection with you . I see some south-east or north guy/girl in this reading too and possibly that you may have short to medium hair or wear specs or they may have sharp eyes and wear specs- an extra information chanelled . Your future spouse actually feels safe with you emotionally ; respecting and understanding them like no one ever did before. They feel to immerse with you only and around you they can open up fully without any insecurity. There's this sharp clarity about you they have that they want you only in their life , no matter what happens so wow go getter energy .
✧ Pile 2
Namaste pile 2 ! Let's get with your reading:
The first thing that I chanelled I was very funny like you had be someone that might be or will be the one who will be a lot pressured by your future spouse to handle their errands like this person needs you like mostly to get their work done or they will just throw some work on you and that's the first main reason why they had choose you- they want to depend on someone because they are lazy and dramatic as hell. At the same time I see that do respect you a lot and admire you for you being you and letting them grow with you this is the vision that they basically have about you. You are their litreal trophy or that jackpot . I see that they may self esteem issues but you had be helping them up to change totally. I see that this person might be an over achiever and at some not a lot recognised for their hardwork and because of this they ended up loosing a lot in life but you will or got them up. They choose you because you directed and supported them a lot in their harsh times . They believe in themselves more when you are with them , they will that they would achieve the whole world by being with you also they had be a bit rebellious and masculine person for same .
✧ Pile 3.
Namaste pile 3 ! Let's get with your reading :
They had literally state so many reason like they love you unconditionally for sure ! The cards just felt out like wonders everytime I was shuffling. You are blessed for sure . I feel that after you met your spouse either one of you met with some financial gains and changes as per what I can sense and say . Your future spouse choose you because you healed them emotionally basically from their experiences and the traumas they had , you showed them the light and hope altogether. They already saw the signs around again when and after they met making them sure out of no where that you had be the one who won't leave him . This pile has got some very emotional energy . I Channeled a hindi song - jeena sikha diya marna sikha diya . I'm getting that they were outcasted in their life and no one accepted them other than you because you had a pure heart and I also heard black magic for you or him . They chose you because you complete them .

Devil's minion fic rec list!
these are just a few recs I was putting together for some friends. this list isn't exhaustive, it's just what I've clicked on and enjoyed so far. the tag is updating at lightning speed right now (bless you all) so there is absolutely a bunch of amazing fics I haven't read yet!
btw these are majority show canon. I haven't read the books. also I made categories that made sense to me, if they don't make sense to you don't worry about it just ignore them lol
Post season 2
Dubai penthouse immediately after (turning daniel)
hold me like water (christ, hold me like a knife) by sahwen (6.7k) the vulnerability of armand in this one is so intriguing. I really loved it
in the detail(s) by infinitevariety (6.7k) a favorite line so far ‘armand curled up like a dying spider’. that's exactly him right after louis leaves
The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning by trinityofone (1.9k) daniel gets turned, but with an added power
Post turning daniel
two truths and a liar by andrealyn (9.9k) daniel goes on a book press tour and armand turns up
what's it called when a young guy pays old men for their company by chaosandteo (1.3k) daniel's daughters find out he's a homewrecker
Couch Surfers' Honor by tihsho (1.3k) two things in my head: 1. armand curled around daniel like a creature 2. the way daniel stops drinking to bitch at armand I'm shrieking
During s2 (alternate canons)
how memory makes monsters into myth by blueskiddoo (5.9k)  alice is armand theory, wip but I'm BIG EYES over it. I love the set up so far
the spiral is unspooling by reedroad (60k) wip but pretty hefty already (60k!). the devils minion chapter incorporated into the past of the show, with daniel uncovering his memories of armand. very good read with lush world building. my fav thing in this is how daniel is written, and his daughters popping up in the fic.
Past hijinks (post s2 canon)
you're sharp alright by LuckyDiceKirby (4.4k) mid 2000's daniel gets picked up by a weirdo at a bar :) it's a pattern
Post season 1 (before s2 came out)
outcast of all this night by gaypiratedivorce (37k) long and fun, armand follows daniel back to new york and stalks him while he writes this book. "Please don't tell me Louis dumped you and now you're fucking with my work to get back at him."
icarus' life has only just begun by andrealyn (15.9k) daniel gets de-aged (on purpose by armand) he wants to live a life with him from the beginning again

If requests are still open, could I possibly have a Messmer x f! Tarnished? The Tarnished being Messmer wife/consort who did not accompany him on the crusade since those really aren't the romantic destinations you usually take your loved ones. The wife dies in the Shattering and comes back as a Tarnished, with no real plan to go murderhobo on Messmer, but still thinking being a Lord/Elden Lord doesn't sound too bad. How would Messmer react to *that* kind of news?
Tumblr media
pairing: messmer the impaler x wife!tarnished!reader (hurt/comfort)
notes: i love super specific asks like this because they give me sooo much to think about. also whoops i wrote too much and have to make a second post.
( part 2 )
Tumblr media
pre-shattering; incandescent
Your marriage to the Impaler, while brief, had been a great source of pride for him. To think that he could be worthy of such a love was beyond baffling, and yet it was no dream. Truly, you had actually loved him — and he, you.
He loathed to part from you, but pride drew him onwards. He wished not only to make his mother proud, but to spark further adoration from you as well. So, while he did dislike leaving you behind, he seemed rather excited about it too. Often the both of you would stay up until the wee hours of the morning to discuss his departure and the grandeur that would be sure to follow it.
He held you close on the dawn he was to leave, only in the privacy of your shared bedchambers could Messmer display such a gentle act. The more reserved send off was for the prying eyes of Marika’s citizens, the way he kneeled to grab your hand in his and press soft kisses there made it known his adoration, for better or for worse. We’ll get to that later.
Contact with your beloved Lord, at first, had not been too difficult. You sent a letter, around four nights would pass, and you’d receive a letter back. He’d always respond asking how you had been faring in his absence, if there was anything you required from him while he was away, a gift perhaps? He’d go on to regale you with the tales of his crusade, each letter containing more and more gruesome details. You’d express your worry for him with each response, and soon enough such details had been cut from his future communications.
Dear Messmer had lost quite some favor as his war stretched on, and thus it became more troublesome to send your letters to him. Most had a disdain for your husband, refusing to send your letters to him, and you’d have to turn to Marika instead. She had sent them in a timely manner the first two times, but by the third letter she had become less concerned with the war and more focused on what her people thought of it —  of her son.
It was around this time communication between you and Messmer had begun to taper out. Letters could still be sent and received, however the process became rather lengthy and the Queen took little pity on you.
You had begged for an audience with your mother-in-law, but none would be granted to the wife of a warmonger. Your time at Leyndell Castle officially came to an end once Marika denounced your beloved’s efforts. Having you there tarnished the royal family’s reputation, and you were relocated to a quaint village in Altus, outside of the capital’s walls.
It was during this time you began to reflect on the Queen and her order, her Order bathed in unsullied gold and blessed with eternal fruitfulness. How could she, the Mother Eternal, act so coldly towards her most loyal son just to save her own skin? What fickleness was this? What cruelty? How could a god behold such human traits? Perhaps her order wasn’t as perfect as you once thought. You couldn’t even begin to imagine what you’d tell Messmer; that is if you ever got to speak to him again. The thought alone crushed you, and you receded into the kind escape of sleep.
Life outside of the Erdtree’s succor granted naught but hardship. Known only as the Impaler’s consort, you were a disgrace upon the Erdtree faithful, and were left well alone. An outcast in your village you would remain, it seemed, for all eternity.
Years passed in isolation before you had heard tell of the new crowned prince of Leyndell’s assassination, and the subsequent shattering of the great Elden Ring. Never before had you known such destruction, such chaos, such humanity. Of course Marika of all people could create such a scene.
You had just finished packing away your darling Lord’s letters when a group of marauders — no doubt General Radahn’s men — had begun to raid your village.
You helped where you could, directing attention away from families and ushering the elderly along into the welcoming arms of those who could guide them to safety. Such arms did not belong to you. How could you leave without those yellowed letters, each promise of return penned on them dulled and decayed? You simply could not leave behind the cloying words of your Lord husband, ever-departed and shunned by all but you. Unfortunately for you, a sword through the back would be the only reward for your kindness. You fell almost willingly, certain that this blow would deliver you unto a gentler realm; one in which you may encounter your lost husband.
A shuddering sigh escaped your lips as you begged to be returned to him; praying that he may gather you up from where you lay, trampled and left by those you had shared your exile with.
post-shattering; tarnished
Of course, in her typical fashion, Queen Marika had different plans
It’s undetermined how quickly Tarnished are revived, let’s say you are returned to the Lands about a hundred years after the events of the Shattering
Quite a lot of time has passed, and not a shred of your former identity lingers in a single scroll. Not even your letters had survived, most certainly reduced to ashes in the fire that consumed your past domicile. And, while saddening that the future Messmer had promised for the both of you would never come to pass, you were almost thankful for this lack of notoriety. Your time as an outcast had taught you well enough the dangers of being associated with that wonderful husband of yours. And so, for now, you would keep secret your relationship to him.
You joined the Roundtable Hold and were quickly educated on the new version of the Lands you inhabited. So too, did you learn that the title of ‘Elden Lord’ had yet to be claimed. While not particularly taken with the idea of assuming the title, you were intrigued in what power it would bring should you take the throne. Surely an order would be established much like Marika’s own, but with your intentions used to mend the ring instead of hers. Perhaps what you disliked in Marika you could remedy, foolish and human as you are. You were hesitant to inform anyone of your possible interest in the role however, and continued on as normal. Why cause such a stir in dynamics among your new friends?
Eventually, either by coercion or of your own accord, you wound up in the Land of Shadows. Almost the instant you had looked out upon the Gravesite Plain you already knew where you were, where he was. And as you explored it came increasingly apparent that he was still alive somehow.
You decided you would have to go find out yourself, and with the motivation to find your long lost husband stirring in your chest you set out on the perilous journey alone.
It was actually a lot easier for you to get to Messmer than you had initially thought. You’d been detained by the Fire Knights of course, but some recognized you despite your condition. They quarreled over if you were truly their Lord’s cherished consort or some vain imposter, and in the end they escorted you to Messmer and had him decide himself.
His serpents recognized you almost immediately. Your scent, while somehow different, still sung with an underlying hint of familiar sweetness. One of them wrapped itself around your forearm while the other watched on in awe.
Messmer sends his Fire Knights away and takes you in from afar. It’s eerily silent in his chamber for a few moments, the only sound the contended hiss of his serpent companions. He rose from his chamber and stalked over to you, bending down to observe your altered form. While you looked the same as you had back then, you were significantly shorter and bereft of the light you were once drenched in. An odd little Tarnished you were, a princess trapped in the frame of a lowlife. It hardly mattered, you were his all the same.
He kneeled down to take your hand in his, hesitating to kiss it for fear that he would lose you, as if the action was responsible for separating the both of you all those years ago. He settles for a scalding embrace instead.
He’s suspiciously quiet. You’d have thought he’d have much to say considering the time apart, but all he could think about was his mother. Why had she stripped you of your grace? Why hadn’t she kept contact with him? Perhaps was held you up all that time had been doing the same to his mother? If that were true, would that mean she is in danger? He wanted to ask you these questions, ask you to tell him what had transpired in his absence but the truth is he was afraid of your answer.
He silently drew you a bath, offering you the privacy to strip yourself of your armor and, with his back still turned, ordered his knights to take the plates for polishing. He suddenly felt so very sorry for you; it was a grand shame that you should ever have to bear the weight of armor or know the handle of a weapon. He feels as though he had failed you by leaving you behind.
You recounted to him what happened before you became a Tarnished. While he knew that the people’s opinion of him and his crusade were low, he hadn’t expected for you to be mistreated because of your relation to him. His heart had simply shattered when he learned that you should be dead; long gone and hidden under the earth.
You left out some bits of the story for his sake, specifically the parts about Marika. Perhaps now was not the time.
He’d let his eyes wander over your lightless form once more, likening it some sick joke.
“Worry not, my lovely. We shall fix thee.”
Your stay at the Shadow Keep lengthens. The both of you are quiet in each other’s presence, not sure of what to say, but there is warmth there regardless. No one speaks her name. No one dares to ask a question about what had happened in the other’s absence. You found yourself unable to question the hordes of dead bodies that littered the perimeter of Castle Ensis, and he refused to question his mother’s callousness towards you.
Most of the time neither of you say anything at all. You had breakfast together, he sat in his chamber with you on his lap until he needed to get up and attend to something, in which you would trail behind him. Once night fell you’d both hold each other in his bedchambers and pretend to be asleep, and then the day would be over and it would be the exact same come morning.
You didn’t dislike it, but after a week you told him of your fondness towards the prospect of becoming a ‘Lord.’ You didn’t tell him Lord of what or who, just that you liked the idea. And, in typical Messmer fashion, he worried over the thought of being abandoned yet again.
He offered you the position of lord for one of his forts, but “Fort Reprimand” had a sort of sinister title you just didn’t feel comfortable sharing.
He didn’t outright tell you how much it hurt him to think about you leaving. He had just gotten you back, how could he let you go again?
His desperation became tangible. He became much more clingy and talkative, making sure with each conversation the two of you had to sprinkle in little details about how delightful the Keep was; how much everyone there adored you.
You saw right through all of it, and you pitied him more than anything. Your poor Messmer; he didn’t deserve any of this.
You weighed your options constantly, they were all you ever thought about anymore. On one hand, the ability to change the world for the better. To right Marika’s wrongs, and hopefully return her to her dear son. On the other, a safe and cozy spot in the arms of your husband forevermore. You wouldn’t need to look over your shoulder every waking moment, Messmer’s serpentine companions would do it for you. You would be safe.
It was at this point you figured that you should tell him the truth. The truth about the Shattering, the disappearance of his mother and how he may not ever see her again. Surely this conversation would trickle into one concerning your lordship and if you wished to obtain it. So, in the little corridor outside of his chamber, you made your decision and prayed it was the right one.

why you should vote for vriska in the 2023 tumblrwoman election
@lutzlig is hosting a series of polls to determine who the ultimate tumblr woman is. love her or hate her, here is why she is objectively the most fitting candidate for this title:
1. she's canonically attracted to women all throughout the homestuck series as well as transfem in pesterquest. SHE HAS A GIRLFRIEND!! she is without a doubt an LGBTQ icon
2. THIS IS THE HOMESTUCK WEBSITE. homestuck ABSOLUTELY dominated tumblr during its peak. homestuck is an integral facet of tumblr's early culture, don't forget your heritage. homestuck was even ranked #6 in the top webseries of tumblr in 2022, surpassing other popular media such as MBMBAM, heartstopper, WTNV, hazbin hotel, HLVRAI, sanders sides, RWBY, and TMA. we were here from the beginning and we're here to STAY. and vriska has proven that she has stood the test of time.
3. she's instantly recognizable. practically everyone who's been online during the 2010s has heard of her one way or another due to just how prevalent she is. you could even argue that she's the most recognizable homestuck character out of the entire cast.
4. she invented an entirely new genre of discourse. we all know that she's infamous for frequently starting arguments on forums so drawn-out and aggressive that they had to be locked. people still argue about her TODAY. after THIRTEEN YEARS!!! she is perfect for tumblr
5. she's an incredibly interesting and unique character. she's somehow both a protagonist and an antagonist simultaneously. you want to hate her and you want to feel bad for her and you want to see her die and you want to see her come back to life. her characterization is so complex and nuanced, she's both a victim of abuse and an abuser. she breaks all rules and expectations. you never know what she'll do next and there is nobody else quite like her
6. her personality embodies tumblr's culture perfectly. she's a nerd. she's a gamer. SHE'S WEIRD. she's an outcast. she roleplays. everyone hates her. everyone loves her. she's bold and she's brash and she'll only go down kicking and screaming and fighting until the bitter end. they've tried to kill her so many times but she always sticks around, just like our near and dear website

may we have some platonic dunmeshi headcanons where the reader is a half elf and Marcille’s friend who she went to magic school with (up until the reader dropped out) and they’re sorta her opposite? (in a complimentary way)
think like Eda and Lilith from the the owl house (season 2)
the touden party with a half-elf! reader
content - half elf and half tall-man applied to reader / pre-storyline and current storyline / platonic headcanons / marcille and reader are childhood friends who are the complete opposite of each other
pairings - laios touden & half-elf!reader / chilchuck tims & half-elf!reader / marcille donata & half-elf!reader / senshi & half-elf!reader / izutsumi & half-elf!reader
warnings - a bit of spoilers towards the end of marcille’s part
note - i hope i did this right ! if i didn't please let me know and i can always rewrite it to your taste. ^^
word count - 1.8k
background - You were a mix of elf and tall-man attending magic school as a researcher alongside your childhood friend Marcille. The two of you were inseparable while growing up, despite your contrasting personalities.
Eventually, Marcille introduced you to a new friend named Falin, a student attending the school. You knew that Falin was considered an outcast by the rest of the students, but you took the time to get to know her and the three of you became close friends.
With Falin disappearing, you and Marcille were very worried until you received a request from said woman. With you and Marcille making your way to the island to reunite with Falin, you had felt a bit nervous about the idea of meeting her brother and venturing into the dungeon.
Tumblr media
✤✤✤✤
✢  You had heard of Laios from Falin, who seemed very passionate about her brother, always referring to his hard-working and caring nature (..and weirdness…)
✢ Unlike Marcille who had been wary upon first meeting him, you were quite open and friendly to the blond tall-man, despite your quietness
✢ Laio’s is honestly a bit nervous when meeting you, hardly encountering any elves in his homeland and on the island
✢ As time goes on though, the two of you become inseparable, always looking out for each other and protecting Falin and Marcille
✢ Sometimes, when you two are the only ones up during the night, you’ll make conversation with the blond, listening to his monster ramblings and such
✢ Laios is grateful to have you around, appreciative of your active listening and engagement with his rambles (and for being Falin’s friend)
✢ When Falin is eaten by the red dragon, you stay back with Marcille (of course, determined to get your close friend back
✢ During the nights that are rough on Laios, you are there to silently comfort him, offering him your company and support
✢ Laios was never bothered by your lack of words, finding your true intentions and emotions through your actions (he was super observant of you and understood most of your mannerisms)
✢ Forgot to mention this but… When Laios finds out that you're actually half-elf like Marcille, he’s pretty surprised and is interested in your background (was your mom an elf and dad a tall-man? or the other way around?)
Tumblr media
✤✤✤✤
✢ Chilchuck respects you in a professional sense, not really interested in you at first, only asking questions about your magic abilities and skills
✢ Honestly, I think the two of you wouldn’t get along in the beginning, not because you hate each other, but because you’re so quiet and he’s just weirded out by you
✢ It isn’t until the two of you are drinking that he lets a little loose and inquires more about the kind of magic you use, etc…
✢ It is during this time that he gets to know about you (your background, your schooling, your interests..etc…), dropping the professionalism
✢ You don’t really get to know much about him, to your annoyance
✢ It isn’t until during one of the party’s night watches, where you are unable to sleep and are left with Chilchuck who was on first watch, that you get to know about him (about his 3 kids, his situation with his ex-wife, etc…)
✢ It takes time for him to fully open up to you, but when he does, he just gives you crumbs of his lore (you are left to piece it all together)
✢ During this time you grow to respect each other, having the other’s back during fights and brawls
✢ Chilchuck, though he’d never admit it, would be grateful for your presence in the party, finding you the most tolerable member there
✢ He’s hesitant to call you his friend, but just slowly accepts that fact (the same for the rest of the party)
✢ When you reveal the fact that you're a half-elf half-tall-man like Marcille, he’s taken aback but doesn’t view you any different
✢ He likes you the way you are and it’ll be hard for his feelings to budge about you, so don’t expect him to be fawning over you being 50/50 or rejecting you for being 50/50
Tumblr media
✤✤✤✤
✢ Ahh Marcille… Your childhood friend
✢ Growing up alongside Marcille, the two of you know all about each other (likes, dislikes, goals, her obsession with The Daltian Clan…)
✢ I can picture the two of you having a self-care night, doing face masks, cleaning up your nails, playing with each other's hair, etc…
✢ People are surprised by the harmony between you and Marcille, as she is much more expressive and hot-headed and you’re more reserved and relaxed
✢ It is these differences that bring you two closer, as Marcille finds your personality enjoyable to have around (it’s like a breath of fresh air for her)
✢ The two of you have different areas of magic that you research, but attend the same magic school as Falin
✢ You have been through thick and thin with Marcille, whether it was enduring the hardships of studying, traversing the dungeon, eating monsters, and eventually rescuing Falin
✢ Honestly, it feels nice knowing that she’s not the only half and half in.. basically the community the two of you grew up in
✢ Marcille would definitely go to you to talk about The Daltian Clan, even if you don’t even read it
✢ She’s able to confide in you her difficulties of being both an elf and tall-man, and you’re welcome to do the same with her
✢ Marcille is so grateful to have you as a friend, finding comfort in your presence during your adventures in the dungeon
✢ She’s especially grateful to have you during Falin’s disappearance, promising to protect each other as you venture deeper
✢ SPOILERS FOR THE MANGA !! You’re probably the first person that’s able to break through to Marcille during her uh, time as Dungeon Lord
✢ With your convincing and your friends’ support, you were able to help calm her down
✢ When all is said and done, you and Marcille are ecstatic to have Falin back and celebrate by having a sleepover (to catch up on everything, yknow)
Tumblr media
✤✤✤✤
✢ Senshi’s first impression of you is that you’re a quiet but talented fella
✢ Although he’s not a fan of magic, he does find some of the spells you cast to be quite useful and efficient (he acknowledges your dedication to researching your area of magic)
✢ He is pleased to see that you aren’t reluctant to try dungeon food, offering lessons on how to make some of them
✢ You end up being his little assistant, aside from Laios, helping him with cutting up ingredients or doing certain things
✢ Sometimes you’ll be open to Senshi teaching you how to do things without magic
✢ Of course, Senshi is very insistent that you eat and rest properly (it’s especially important since you need mana)
✢ I can see Senshi forming a bond akin to a grandpa and his grandkid, trying to protect you during fights but you end up defending him more often than not (there are times he comes in clutch though)
✢ Senshi comes to understand your quiet behavior, like Laios, he can read your emotions and intentions through your actions
✢ Senshi is your No. 1 supporter, encouraging you if you’re learning how to do something and supporting you during rough nights
✢ He’s honestly a bit confused about how you and Marcille are friends, given your differing personalities, but sees how compatible the both of you are
✢ When he finds out that you’re half-elf and half-tall-man, he..doesn’t really care, that information doesn’t change his perception of you in any way
✢ Senshi will listen to you whenever you need to rant about something, he knows that bottling up your emotions can eventually lead to outbursts so he’ll be a shoulder for you to lean on
✢ He gives great advice, sometimes you’ll consult him on night watch or when you’re helping him cook
✢ Senshi deeply respects you and is grateful to have you around, he enjoys the company a lot
Tumblr media
✤✤✤✤
✢ Izutsumi is initially interested in you, curious if you can rid her of her beastkin side
✢ However, she becomes disinterested in you when she realizes you can’t haha…
✢ She’s confused about how you and Marcille are friends, but doesn’t think about it too much (she applies her experiences with Tade with you and Marcille)
✢ Unlike Marcille who openly dotes on Izutsumi, you’d quietly show your care by letting her have some of your food, handing Marcille some products to use on Izutsumi (you’ll be damned if you’re scratched), etc…
✢ You’d probably be the best person to deal with Izutsumi though, you’d just pinch the certain space on her neck to have her freeze (you’d have some knick knacks to stun her)
✢ If Izutsumi bit or scratched you, you’d put a cone or some mittens on her
✢ She hates you for that but understands it hurts so she tries not to act on her feelings, grumbling about it instead
✢ Gradually, Izutsumi grows closer to you, listening to you talk about your background and research with interest
✢ She’d ask some questions about what you do, inquiring more if something piques her interest

[MK X READER] New Era - Chapter .002
Woot Woot, got motivation to type out chapter 2 quick :D
first part | next part
FROM THE EYES OF ONE WHO WITNESSED A TEST
Fengjian was a simple, but prosperous town.
Walking into the village, you did not need to wear the robes like Liu Kang did. After all, you weren’t as well known- nor did your eyes glow like the fire god’s. You took in the simplicity of the town, breathing in deeply as you closed your eyes for a moment to take in the atmosphere.
“It has been some time since we have come here last.” Liu Kang spoke, causing you to open your eyes. You nodded, chuckling at the memory. Typically, Madam Bo goes to you whenever you are to meet up. But the last time you were here you remember fondly of the atmosphere the teahouse provided.
It was at times like those you longed for more, even if just for a moment, a town to call home. It wasn’t as if you disliked the fire temple, you adored it. It was always so tranquil. and the company there wasn’t anything to complain about.
It’s just that…you felt like an outcast, at times.
It’s nothing that anyone else has done to you, it’s just that you didn’t feel like you belonged in a community quite like a town would. You cherished the friendships you had, you just wished that the friends you had were around more often.
If only you could beckon the Lin Kuei like Liu Kang, maybe then you could have some of those friends around more often.
“Yes, it has been.” You agreed, snapping out of your train of thought to reply to Liu Kang, who seemed to have been watching you for a response. You’ve been spacing out more and more lately. You didn’t want to concern the fire god, after all.
It was nearing sunset, and you watched the farmers toil within the fields, trying to get the last of the harvest done. You noted two figures in the distance, both hat wearers. You furrowed your eyebrows, feeling a slight headache incoming. They seemed to be discussing something, and you were all too curious what it was. Suddenly, you watched as the two began to work frantically.
Odd, but you found amusement in their antics. You looked over to see Liu Kang observing you with his piercing glowing eyes.
“Are you feeling unwell?” He inquires, his eyes scanning your face for any sign of discomfort. He must have noticed the small grimace you had worn when you had first felt the beginnings of a headache. You nodded and waved him off.
“I’m fine, I must have a headache due to not eating before our travel here.” You explained. A small voice in the back of your head was whispering that was not the reason, but you brushed it off. Better not to think about it and to worry about something you could not control. “I’m looking forward to whatever Madam Bo makes.”
There was a wary look on Liu Kang’s face, and you watched as he opened his mouth to speak before nodding. You felt bad, he seemed concerned. He shouldn’t be though.
The two of you stepped into Madam Bo’s, and immediately you were hit with a wave of fresh, delicious smelling food and tea. You felt your stomach growl. Liu Kang, from the corner of your eye, watched you with what you could surmise was amusement. You watched with eager eyes as Madam Bo herself came over.
“It’s been too long.” She cooed at you, looking fondly at you as if you were her own child. You blinked in surprise, letting out a surprised laugh as she pulled you in for a hug. You reciprocated happily. She pulled back and held your arms, looking up at you. “Have you been keeping up with your training?” She interrogated, raising an eyebrow at you. She looked over to Liu Kang to nod at him, who bowed slightly.
“Yes, yes.” You replied, laughter imbued in your words as you nodded, grinning at her. “I’ve been sure to keep up, otherwise I knew you’d chew me out.” You watched as the elderly woman nodded in approval, muttering under her breath on how you were much better than some people. “I’ve been looking forward to eating your cooking.”
“And I’ve been looking forward to cooking for the both of you.” Madam Bo quipped with a pleased smile. She patted your arm before letting go and leading the both of you to a table more off to the side. You took your seat across from Liu Kang who settled in easily. “This should provide an adequate view of the exam.”
“Excellent.” Liu Kang said as he seemed to eye an empty table in particular. Madam Bo walked away as Liu Kang returned his gaze to you. “I had almost forgotten how dear Madam Bo holds you to her heart.” He commented, a small amused smile on his lips. You let out a laugh as you waved him off.
“I’m always surprised too, but I’m glad.” You thanked the waiter who scurried by, dropping off drinks for the both of you. You cradled the cup in your hands, and you watched as Liu Kang gracefully poured himself some tea. “I’m excited to see how the two examinees do, but I’m a bit more interested to see how the three can do well as thugs.” You lifted the cup up and took a long sip. “Honestly, it’s hard to imagine Tomas and Kuai Liang being intimidating.”
“You may find that they might surprise you.” Liu Kang replied, an amused tone in his voice. He, too, lifted up his own cup and drank the tea he had. You had never seen the rehearsal that the trio did, wanting to keep it a surprise for yourself. “I think you’ll find that you will be entertained, at the very least.” You nodded, feeling excitement buzz through you.
“I’ll trust your judgement.” You grinned back. In almost no time, Madam Bo arrived back with dishes a plenty, and you had to hold back drool. For what felt like the millionth time today, Liu Kang watched your reaction with some type of amusement. “Thank you, Madam Bo.” You said as you eyed one of the dishes in particular that had become your favorite.
“Anything for you two.” Madam Bo pat your shoulder with a proud smile before leaving. You grinned at Liu Kang as you reached for the food you craved. Liu Kang chuckled as he grabbed some food for himself. This was nice.
This was nothing unusual, Liu Kang often accompanied you during dinner. But it was always a delight to share in his company. You blinked as you felt your fingers brush Liu Kang’s as you reached for a dish. Your fingers twitched as his withdrew after a moment, and you noted how warm his fingertips felt.
For just the briefest of moments, you wondered how the whole of his hand felt. Was it also that same comforting warmth?
“The two examinees are here.” Liu Kang alerted you, snapping you out of your stupor. You perked up and turned around. First, you recognized the two as the two farmers you had seen out in the fields. Then, you felt your head pulse with pain as your vision focused on their faces.
A man with a razor brimmed hat, and a god with the powers of lightning entered your mind.
You winced, and you heard Liu Kang’s voice vaguely, but you didn’t register what he was saying. You were too focused on trying to sort the memories that were bubbling to the surface. You stared at them as the two followed Madam Bo, blissfully unaware of the intense stare the both of you were sending the duo.
“Are you alright?” The fire god inquired, tacking on your name at the end as he spoke, alerting you. You blinked, a few memories of a life that was not your own disappearing and being replaced with two names: Kung Lao and Raiden.
You turned back. For a moment, you were surprised to see concern so explicit on Liu Kang’s face. His hand hovered yours, before it settled upon it. His thumb brushed over the back of yours in a soothing way.
His hand was just as warm as you had imagined.
“Yeah.” You managed to get out, averting your eyes as you tried to not think about how comforting the warmth of his hand was. You paused, considering how truthful to be to Liu Kang. “Just…memories.” You said, knowing those words alone would clue Liu Kang in enough on what was happening. You looked back at him, and you read his expression.
Was that…surprise?
“I see.” He says, lifting his hand away from yours, but not before he squeezed yours one last time. You tried not to think about why you instantly mourned the loss of his warmth. “If you need to step out for air, best do it now before the exam begins.” The fire god warns, knowing how much you wanted to watch the exam.
“I’ll be fine.” You replied, sending Liu Kang a smile and nodding. You watched as the duo strode to the front of the restaurant, engaging in what seemed to be playful banter before getting into fighting stances. You watched in surprise as the duo sparred. “How bold of them to fight within the restaurant.” You muttered, yet the voice in your head was whispering on how this behavior seemed to be in line with…Kung Lao?
Huh?
Regardless of your confusion, the one your mind deemed as Kung Lao quickly came out as the victor. Claps and cheers echoed through the teahouse. Enthusiastically, you joined them, grinning. Kung Lao basked in the glory, bowing. Your mind pulsed as you remembered the man with the same face also cockily pose and accept his own victory in a similar way.
“Madam Bo, so far, has taught the two of them well.” Liu Kang commented as he watched the two return to their table. You nodded in agreement, eagerly getting back to the food you had temporarily forgotten about. “We must see if that practice applies to a scenario.”
Minutes flew by as Liu Kang and you finished your meal, but the show had just begun. The two of you waited as the two farmers finished their own meal, one of them much more hungry than the other. You held back a chuckle at how much he ate, and how enthusiastically it was.
You held back a gasp as you saw Smoke strode in. You bit your lip to hold back the chuckle that threatened to leave your lips. Seeing him try to emulate a thug was so…unusual. It was almost comical. You covered your mouth with your hand, hiding your smile. You glanced at Liu Kang to see his expression, but he was already staring at you.
You weren’t quite sure why, nor were you quite sure what sparked the warmth that bloomed in your chest upon realizing this.
“Madam Bo! The Lin Kuei await your answer.” Smoke called out, pulling you out of your thoughts. You turned back, noting how unusual the tone of voice Tomas was using. You wondered if he had practiced it. You were definitely going to tease him later about this. You noticed how a few more of the Lin Kuei arrived, all holding themselves in an intimidating manner.
Madam Bo dismissed Smoke, walking away. You noticed the duo talk amongst themselves, and they seemed perplexed about the scenario. You couldn’t blame them. Smoke then quickly followed her, and from what you heard, he was apparently trying to threaten her into paying up for protection. You let out a snort as you adjusted how you sat so you could comfortably watch.
You were definitely reminding him of this later.
Smoke nodded to the other Lin Kuei, and you watched as ruckus occurred. You idly sipped your drink along with Liu Kang. The Lin Kuei knew very well to avoid the two of you. You even sent a glance to a random Lin Kuei who even nodded in your direction subtly.
The perks of being a companion of a god, you supposed.
Your jaw dropped as you saw Madam Bo begin to fight Tomas before she was sent flying over the railing. You swiveled your head and leaned over the table to whisper to Liu Kang.
“You did not tell me Madam Bo was going to be thrown over the second floor railing!” You hissed out in surprise, and Liu Kang chuckled over your shock.
“That would ruin the surprise, wouldn’t it?” He replied simply, smiling before nodding in the direction of the two you were supposed to be watching. You turned around, watching as the duo ran up to fight off the Lin Kuei. Kung Lao in particular was fighting off Smoke.
“I have to admit, I admire their tenacity.” You murmur to Liu Kang, noting the technique Kung Lao was using. It felt all too familiar, and although you weren’t quite certain why, the way he fought pulled at your heartstrings. You watched as the two “took down” the group of assassins before trying to walk away to go down help Madam Bo.
Quickly, you noticed Sub Zero emerge from the rooftop, seeming ready to become the duo’s next obstacle. He shot a blast of ice down to alert them, and you took another sip of your drink. You’d have to tease Bi-Han on how he played the villain, perhaps, too well.
Scorpion entered, swinging his spear around to appear intimidating himself. You attention returned to Sub Zero trying to throw an ice ball their way, and you noticed how he lobbed it much slower than usual so they had time to dodge.
If only he went this easy on you during training years ago. You still had bruises from how harsh he was on you.
Sub Zero warns them to leave, but the duo stubbornly decide to stay. Amazed, you watched as Bi-Han jumped down to tackle Raiden. You winced. Bi-han never half assed anything it seemed. This left Kung Lao to fend off Scorpion. Although the Lin Kuei were pulling their punches, you were pleasantly surprised to see the techniques that Madam Bo had taught the two men were shining through.
Scorpion was now down.
You watched as Raiden climbed up to the second floor, then Sub Zero quickly followed by jumping up, quicking Raiden into a man at the bar. You raised an eyebrow and looked at Liu Kang. Everyone else aside from you two were supposed to evacuate for the safety of everyone.
“I suppose he is too…drunk to have remembered.” Liu Kang explained, though he seemed a bit perplexed himself, an expression you were not used to see on his face. Either way, you noticed the graceful way the cryomancer managed to dodge Raiden’s strikes and disarm him without getting the drunkard involved.
You held back a chuckle as you saw Kung Lao toss his hat towards Sub Zero. You felt a wave of nostalgia wash over you, and you saw a vision of a more experienced Kung Lao tossing his signature hat towards an enemy, decapitating it.
You really needed to sort out these memories.
You weren’t certain whether Bi-Han was actually irritated or not as he engaged battle with Kung Lao, but it didn’t take long for Kung Lao to take him down.
You were impressed, and it seemed that Liu Kang was pleased as well at the duo’s performance.
Kung Lao and Raiden rushed over to aid Madam Bo, and Liu Kang stood up. You followed suit, knowing that the test was done. You heard Madam Bo declare that she wasn’t quite dead yet as you followed Liu Kang downstairs.
You noted the destruction of the teahouse, and briefly wondered just who was going to repair this.
As the two of you descended the steps, Liu Kang lowered his hood. You looked towards the farmer boys, and managed to make eye contact with both of them. Your headache was strong, but not strong enough to summon any memories it seemed.
“So, Madam Bo, are they ready?” Liu Kang inquired, looking towards a casual Madam Bo who was smoking. It was as if she never had been tossed over a railing. You stifled a laugh. She was resilient for an old lady.
“A bit thick in the head perhaps…” Madam Bo began, gesturing to the two. You bit your lip to hide a smile as you noticed the offended look the duo exchanged. “But they are ready.” She admitted, nodding.
“His eyes are glowing.” Raiden marveled, and you felt your heart squeeze at the comment. You were granted a vision of a much older looking version of Raiden who had glowing eyes.
“I am Lord Liu Kang, God of Fire and Protector of Earthrealm.” Liu Kang introduced himself. You were hit by nostalgia, vaguely reminded of the way he had tried to introduce himself to you years ago when you had first stumbled upon the Fire Temple.
“God? Earthrealm? And who’s your…companion?” Kung Lao inquired, perplexed before he gestured to you.
“I’m simply Lord Liu Kang’s companion, not a god.” You said, after introducing yourself to the duo. You bowed their way, feeling a bit pleased to have been noticed enough to have to introduce yourself to them. You gestured to Liu Kang. “I would advise you both to listen to him closely, Lord Liu Kang will explain many of your questions.”
“Madam Bo has been preparing you for this moment since you were boys.” Liu Kang informed them as he crossed his arms. Madam Bo nodded proudly, a soft smile on her face. It was the same look she sent you when she had aided you in some training years ago. “Today, you have proven worthy of joining my champions.” He proclaimed as he strode closer to the two.
“This fight was- a test?”
“Of your ability and character, yes.” Liu Kang confirmed. Kung Lao crossed his arms, seeming to mull over the situation. Raiden was also letting it all sink in, though his expression was much more readable than the former’s. “Bi-Han, Kuai Liang.”
The teahouse came to life as the Lin Kuei got up from their slumped over positions. You watched as Smoke stood above, watching you all with the rest of the Lin Kuei from the railing. The two brothers, meanwhile, strode downstairs by your side. Bi Han stood to your left.
You pursed your lips as you looked at the wound that Kung Lao had left from the chakram he had thrown. You’d have to patch him up later.
“So these two aren’t thugs?” Kung Lao inquired, gesturing to the two assassins who stood beside you. He sounded in disbelief, and you couldn’t blame him. Despite the fact that you’d be poking fun at the trio of brothers later, you had to admit they were pretty good at acting.
“The Lin Kuei are a centuries old clan dedicated to Earthrealm’s defense.” Liu Kang explained, and you found yourself naturally nodding to his words.
“You keep on saying Earthrealm. Don’t you mean Earth?” Raiden interrupted, a confused look on his face. His face was so innocent looking, it fit that he also had a sense of naivety as well.
“You boys have so much to learn.” Madam Bo said, a tone of amusement in her voice as she looked at the two.
“Earth is only a part of Earthrealm.” Liu Kang explained, just as patient as he was with you when you unraveled your jumbled memories together. You’ve always admired that about him. “Earthrealm itself is one of many realms. Together they comprise the whole of the universe.” The god explained.
Other realms…You felt a twinge of excitement and anxiety within yourself.
Soon. The tournament was months away.
“The realms can be fierce, bitter rivals.” The older woman explained as she walked in front of the farmer boys to look at them. “That’s why we need champions to defend ours.” She continued, gesturing to Liu Kang as she did so.
“The time draws near for the grand martial arts tournament between Earthrealm and the realm of Outworld.” The fire god continued, picking up from where Madam Bo left off. “Held once each century, it allows each realm to demonstrate its strength. While our realms are at peace, there are Outworlders who would prefer us to be at war. Our victory in the tournament will…temper their zeal.”
“I’ve taught you everything I can.” Madam Bo piped up. “You must finish your training with Lord Liu Kang and his companion.” You blinked in surprise, sending a subtle glance towards Liu Kang. He did not seem to notice, and you made a note to ask about it later.
You? Be a mentor for this tournament when you were an amnesiac who might not even originate from Earthrealm?
You knew Liu Kang often commended your fighting prowess, but still, the idea of being one of the people in charge of training them…You weren’t sure what to make of it. You caught the gaze of Kuai Liang who seemed to nod at you as if to congratulate you.
Did everyone else know about this?
“More training?” Kung Lao seemed exasperated. He gestured to the two brothers. “Those two couldn’t even defeat us.” He scoffed, cockily.
Bi-Han scoffed, and you glanced at him. Madam Bo chuckled, though her laughter was much more light hearted than the offended scoff from Sub Zero. At Kung Lao’s confused look, she explained.
“They were pulling their punches.”
“Had we not held back, you would have not survived.” Bi-Han informed them, sending Kung Lao in particular a sharp glare. He stepped forward to emphasize his point. Sensing the looks from others, you huffed as you pulled him back, grabbing his arm. It was cold, like usual. Bi-Han’s head swiveled back to send you an instinctual glare.
Like usual though, his temper seemed to calm a bit as you sent him a warning look. Irritable as he was, he was not illogical.
“Come.” Liu Kang said, smoothly glossing over the interruption. “The monks at the Wu Shi Academy await to continue your tutelage.” He invited them, sending them a warm smile.
“I am ready, Lord Liu Kang.” Kung Lao immediately accepted, bowing to the god. You smiled. A bit cocky, but he was eager and enthusiastic. Although hesitant at first, you watched as Madam Bo convinced Raiden to leave Fengjian to join.
“Excellent.” Liu Kang said, looking between the two farmer boys. He looked back to you and gestured to you before himself. “We shall join you soon. First, there are other champions we must gather.” He declared. He then nodded to the others.
Everyone took this as dismissal, and began to disperse.
“Not yet, Bi-Han.” You warned as your grip on his arm tightened. You felt his arm grow colder, a sign he was irritated. You ignored the pointed look he sent you as you let go and reached into a pocket of your clothes. From it, you extracted a small medical set you carried with you. “I want to get this patched up before you all disappear on me.” You muttered as you began to patch up the cut.
“This is unnecessary.” The Lin Kuei grandmaster huffed, yet he did not pull away. You sent him another pointed look. This time, Bi-Han held your own gaze. You had a small staring contest for a moment, and if you did not need to clean his wound, you would have been willing to challenge him longer. You could feel him silently basking in the tiny victory as you looked away to clean the cut.
You hummed as you secured the bandages around his arm after you cleaned it up. With a smile, you nodded pleased at the work you did on the wound. He eyed you, almost as if silently asking permission if he could leave now. You knew he was too prideful to ask that directly, and you were too stubborn to let him leave before you were done.
“Good performance out there.” You praised Bi-Han. He continued to stare you down. Despite his icy disposition, you could sense there was a hint of pride at the praise you sent his way. His eyebrows unfurrowed a tiny before, and he nodded slightly. “You can go now.” You said, patting his arm slightly. Almost too eagerly, he strode off.
“Congratulations on being trusted to train the future champions.” Scorpion said as he stepped up to you. Kuai Liang was always more warm than his brother, both literally and personality wise. You smiled awkwardly, having been reminded of the sudden duty that you had been told about.
“Thank you, Kuai Liang.” You said, sighing as you scratched the back of your neck nervously. You glanced at the farmer duo who were helping clean up the tea house along with a few of the other Lin Kuei. “It’s an honor…and a surprise.” You reveal, shrugging anxiously.
“I’m certain you shall do great.” Kuai Liang comforted you, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder. Your smile turned into a soft one as you took in the encouragement from the Lin Kuei assassin. If he believed in you, you had to be worthy of the position.
“Kuai Liang!” Bi-Han called out from above. You both looked up, and you were surprised at the intensity of the look he was sending his brother. You raised an eyebrow as you looked at Bi-Han, who simply sent you a cold look before looking away and gesturing for his brother to come upstairs. Scorpion sent you an apologetic look for the conversation being cut short before he walked away upstairs.
You followed suit, following the yellow clad assassin up the stairs. You found yourself upstairs, and walked over to Smoke who was helping his fellow Lin Kuei clean up. You walked over and helped upright a chair as you sent Tomas a sly grin.
“So, you threw an old lady over a railing.” You teased as you sent him a mock disapproving glare. The man cleared his throat as he averted his eyes, almost embarrassed at the reminder of what he had done. “And you were quite the thug.”
“I insisted on simply knocking her out, but she wanted me to go all out.” Smoke said, and you could barely see the hints of a flush on his cheeks at your teasing. He seemed to shake off his embarrassment and send you a lighthearted look. “And you may have not been convinced, but those two certainly were.”
You let out a hearty laugh, remembering the convinced looks of the duo. You glanced at them down below, who were now conversing again with Madam Bo. You rolled your eyes and conceded.
“Yeah, you’re right.”
Almost as quickly as they came, the Lin Kuei quickly left after the tea house was mostly fixed up. As they left, you sent a small goodbye to the trio of brothers, not knowing when you’d see them next. You also bid goodbye to Madam Bo as well as Raiden and Kung Lao, who seemed enthusiastic to have been able to greet you.
Stepping outside, you took in the crisp, clean air of the night sky. You closed your eyes, and felt the presence of someone step next to you.
“So, what did you think?” Liu Kang inquired, looking over to you with a curious look. His glowing eyes stood out among the dark night sky, and you admired them for a moment. You then took in the question and hummed, tilting your head to look up at the night sky.
The excitement of tonight still buzzed in your veins.
“That was amazing.”

Pile 1
Your destiny when you were born
Tarot Cards- The Devil, King of Cups, 7 of Swords, The Lovers, The Moon
Okay, my dear pile 1. The first thing that I heard was 'twins'. It's very specific but some of you have twins. I also sense that your mother may have faced difficulty during delivery. Probably a lot of pain. You have been emotional since birth. Cancer, Pisces, and Scorpio are coming up (sun, moon, or rising). I also hear, “When you're young they assume you know nothing.” When you were born your destiny was all about dealing with relationships. You were a child who could easily absorb people's energy. A lot of karma you carried in this lifetime. When you were born some of it started settling in your subconscious. Your destiny was all about choosing because I also sense Gemini energy here which shows confusion and difficulty in finding balance. It was written that you'll find it difficult to say no. I am sorry to say but I also sense that some of you have even dealt with sexual abuse of some kind. That too at a very early age. My heart is with you pile 1. I send you so much healing and love. It was written in your destiny that you will face many betrayals and will see the devil behind sweet faces. But no one would believe you. So you'll keep a lot of truths to yourself. Not to avoid conflict but because you had conflicting thoughts. You questioned yourself when others were the ones to be questioned! Up until now, you may have faced a good number of heartbreaks. All the relationships in your life were/are meant to make you realize your true potential. Because you are so different from the crowd pile 1. You couldn't see that since childhood. You felt like an outcast or maybe unimportant. But that's not true. You were born to be different and realize how unique you are! I also sense that you developed your intelligence. It wasn't like you were born intelligent. Since the day you were born, you are only shedding skin and becoming new now and then. Your destiny was all about finding true connections right through the false and painful ones. Many of you were born to be artists or do something different/out of the league. I also sense that your decisions have always been governed by the trauma you went through and the good thing is that you are aware of it.
How has your destiny changed based on your karma?
Tarot Cards- 7 of Wands, 6 of Swords, The Fool, 4 of Pentacles, 7 of Pentacles
I am so proud of you pile 1. You worked hard to be who you are today. You've changed so much. You were practically pushed towards your purpose. Your soul couldn't take it anymore is exactly when rage intervened and you found your strength. You always did your best. You changed your destiny. Where it was written that you're continuously going to face relationship trauma you found your way out of those patterns. You made yourself aware. Despite opposing forces and disempowering words, you stood your ground. I must say your initial years of stubbornness made you walk to the other side. Your rage and stubbornness were the beginning. You suddenly became the warrior. You have finally unlocked new chapters and have shifted the vibrational frequency of your destiny. Otherworldly concepts influenced you a lot to change your perspective towards life. You left the fear-based reality far behind. You became a risk taker. You have developed some very special gifts and are holding onto them. You're also hoping to grow yourself further. You have got a lot to learn and you know that. You want to learn more. You are continuing to be on this transforming journey. No matter how painful it is, you're still moving ahead. You have a thirst for truth, hence you have the patience to wait for it. Currently, you are letting go of the control. Slowly but steadily.
To know where your destiny is taking you book a reading with me only at $10.
Pile 2
Your destiny when you were born
Tarot Cards- 10 of Pentacles, Ace of Pentacles, 5 of Cups, Page of Pentacles, 4 of Cups
Hello, my beautiful pile 2. The first thing I saw was that either you were born into a well-to-do family or a family that was financially facing a tough time. For some of you, I also see a big family. But when you were born something major happened. Someone with whom you were close to when you were born or someone who loved you dearly when you were born is no more. I say this with utmost sincerity and love for you. I sense that your destiny was about dealing with a family where everyone and everything was perfect except you. You were ridiculed a lot for how you looked or your overall personality. I also sense that you were given everything but still, there was something that you were looking for. Your destiny was about coming out of the cocoon of the perfect world and truly experiencing life with its imperfections. I also sense that you have lived among perfectionist people. Deep in your heart and destiny's chart, you were meant to give something to the world. Everyone around you was focused on taking but you wanted to know how you can make others lives better. You were destined to be dependent on yourself and create a life of your own. A life that is not defined by your background. You are someone who was destined to see the darkness behind the gold and glitters. You have been somebody who always questioned the ways of the world. I hear, “You're on your own kid. You always have been. You were destined to bring a powerful change in your family. Any direction you have chosen was only meant to take you to a better place, closer to your purpose. Some of you may even have gone through some health crises as it was written because you function differently compared to other members of your family. You were meant to be the trailblazer.
How has your destiny changed based on your karma?
Tarot Cards- Knight of Wands, King of Pentacles, 3 of Wands, The Emperor, King of Cups
I hear you had to break your own heart to free yourself and move towards your purpose. You weren't understood and that created a deep wound, a longing to move away, especially from your family dynamics. I strongly sense that you lost someone very dear to you. For a very few of you, it might be literal death. Based on your karma you created a certain reality in your mind and it still gives you pain. You're asked to change your thought patterns and question yourself. To want what you want you had to learn what you don't want. And what you don't want is what you got since the beginning. But I see that you've made yourself firm about certain aspects of life. You have your guard up but deep down you are a very emotional and caring human being. You somewhat have your emotions locked up but you do feel them in silence. You are now moving towards making yourself a better human being and growing yourself so that you can genuinely contribute to the world. I also see that some of you have been traveling for quite a while now but still some days you feel restless. You are still being asked to look within and look closer. You're somewhat distracted and still aren't following your purpose. Making money is not the end goal and you know that. Your soul knows that. Always staying on your guard is stressful and you feel that. You're still living in a survival mode. Though you have made slight progress you still need to see the truth. You're missing the details. Pile 3
Your destiny when you were born
Tarot Cards- Knight of Cups, Judgement, King of Swords, 3 of Cups, The Devil
Hello, my beautiful pile 3. The first thing that I observed was that your cards were very eager to come out. There was a desire that you couldn't fulfill in your past life and your soul wanted to have that fulfilled in this lifetime. I sense that you have been an active kid in your childhood. Someone who loved making friends. But there was also something saintly about you. You seem to be a bit flirtatious too. I sense that your purpose was to reconnect with your soul tribe. Some of you are walking on the spiritual path. Your purpose was to find romantic connections that could liberate you from your patterns and make you reborn into a different being every time. You were destined to go through all the unwanted situations and meet unwanted people to finally find what you want. You were meant to heal your wounds around friendship and romantic bonds. I also hear your shadow side saying, “You broke me first.” As you may have been aware of this destiny for a very long time so you lived in pain and stayed in this cycle where you kept hating those who broke your heart or who played with your heart. Some of you may even like to dance. Move your body often and release stuck energy. Dancing can have something to do with your purpose too. Your destiny was to go through emotional ups and downs to finally think logically and see the truth of your life. To see why things happened the way they did. You were meant to reflect years after a situation happened. You may have found many answers to your trauma years after it happened. This is for your inner child, “I keep every hour of every day keeping you safe.” You won't be able to escape your destiny. BECAUSE IT IS THE PATH LEADING YOU TO YOUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH. I also hear, “I am just protecting my innocence. I am just protecting my soul.” Protect your inner child. It's a part of the destiny you were born with.
How has your destiny changed based on your karma?
Tarot Cards- 3 of Swords, Ace of Pentacles, 4 of Wands, 8 of Pentacles, Strength
Wow, pile 3. Well done! You're healing your heart chakra. You're appreciating and seeing the lesson in situations you came across. You're no longer blaming people but trying to see the divine reason behind things. You're not stuck on one polarity. You see all the perspectives and can make peace with them. You've gained a lot of strength right through this desire to find the right people that match your mindset. Though you haven't found them yet you soon will. I see some of you are even working so hard to make yourself financially stable. The painful cycle that you have been in for years is now approaching its end because you were willing to learn the lesson. You're so brave, pile 3. You've developed this spark and light around you that others can't help but notice. You've mastered the art of self-transformation pile 3. You didn't let yourself stay stuck in the energy of looking for your worth in the other people. Some of you may still be realizing it and are working on it. You've finally found your balance. You're keeping your calm and continuously learning the lessons. Some of you may have strong Sagittarius placement (it's not necessary). You are no more afraid of the predators that are out there in the wild. You have trust in your intuition. Consider reading pile 1 too if you were drawn to it. I am finding some similarities. You're currently on the verge of balancing your private and personal life.
To know where your destiny is taking you book a reading with me only at $10.

I hope I can ask you this because I don't want to ask in the tags, I'm scared 🥹 but I've seen a lot of discourse about why tommy isn't good for buck, he's cold, the relationship is toxic etc and I was wondering why people think that? Is there anything specific that started it?
I fully believe eddie is buck's true love, endgame, whatever we want to call it and I'm sad we don't have that (yet) but I thought bucktommy was kinda fun in the meantime. I just want to understand 🫶🏻
Oh hey darling! you were so sweet and genuine in your response so please know I’m just answering what I’m asked and if you wanna enjoy and have fun with bt that is completely your prerogative but I’m just offering my perspective on it
And i am warning you this is gonna be long because I feel a constant need to go really in depth in my thoughts
Okay so idk how I’m gonna break this down but maybe I’ll do it in like main points?
Also if you’re new here whenever I use bullet points I’m just doing it cos I find it easier to chunk up my thoughts not cos I’m being curt or anything with you
1. The chimney and hen begins episodes
He wasnt just passive in the episodes and letting Gerard get away with his racist and misogynistic behaviour he ACTIVELY participated in it
This includes:
• Asking if they forgot to tip the delivery guy WHILE THEY WERE EATING CHINESE FOOD when chimney first comes up despite the fact that 1. Chimney had a big ass lafd bag 2. They were probably already told a probie would be coming 3. Probably would’ve seen the actual delivery guy 4. I would bet my absolute life that question would not have been asked if buck or bobby had walked up those stairs this wasn’t an innocent comment it WAS RACIST intentionally like the entire point of the episode was to show how bad they had it
• the New York bitchiness comment
• throwing his tools down along for hen to clean up
• going out of his way to treat them like outcasts and hating chimney before he even knew him despite chimneys efforts
• the way each of them had to “earn his respect” in some way before he acted like a normal coworker to them and this was never in the typical ‘oh it’s a new person’ type of way it always had to do with their race or in hen’s case her gender too
A defence I see a lot for this is “oh he was closeted” and honestly to me that is such bullshit because 1. Eli was perfectly capable of not participating in the racism and taking chimney under his wing without getting any shit for it and chimney is quite literally a Korean man (something he literally can’t hide) and he had just got his head above water with Gerard’s racism when hen came and he STILL was a friend to her 2. Again tommy wasn’t passive in it and just letting Gerrard be racist (which would’ve been one thing) no he actively participated in it to be part of the boys club 3. Let’s say that somehow not being a dick would’ve meant that that was a threat to the closet he was in- that is still in my opinion a fucked up sense of preservation if you spare yourself the possibility of bigotry (despite having inherent social capital by being a white man in that job) by inflicting others to bigotry
Now when Tommy was first reintroduced I was like keeping an open mind and saying okay it’s been a lot of time and maybe he has genuinely made amends because I do believe in redemption but imo they have made no attempt to show us that and had him honestly put more of the blame on Gerrard for his behaviour or the writers flat out avoiding mentioning it to retcon tommy a little and hope we forget
Another defence I see is “oh chimney and hen became friends with him so they must’ve forgave him”, hen went no contact the moment he left (something the writers went out of their way to include that line) and chimney didn’t even invite him to his wedding which was quite big after the Buckley parents got involved so it’s not like it was cos it was such a small and intimate wedding and he only called him as far as we know in those years when he needed a favor, which all means that most likely they had kinda just put it behind them and kept up a coworker relationship with him, but no actual friendship or actual forgiveness or redemption had taken place
Oh wow all that was just point one and I can probably talk more on it but I’ll just leave it with saying that Lou’s comments about it being teasing or how Tommy genuinely didn’t know hen or chimney were capable etc just makes for a worse case than saying it’s cos of being in the closet (and that is genuinely a large part of why idk much abt Lou but those comments are enough to make me hate him) and I’ll also say that poc (myself included in that) have these situations so often- situations even as specific as gay men being racist to them to fit in - and we understand the nuance and shit to it but we also understand on a deep level how it feels to be on the other side of that
And getting toxic bt fans try to come up with ways to downplay or minimise racism honestly pisses me off so much cos believe you me we have heard every excuse and downplay under the sun and I for one am sick and tired of it
2. Why he’s viewed as cold and his jokes
• literally from the small parts we saw of him and Eddie hanging out we have seen the man is in fact capable of joking and being light and having fun but around buck in particular he’s like 🧍‍♂️😐 and the occasional 🙂 like it just feels very stiff and just plain in a way
• his humour consistently falls flat and feels passive aggressive more than anything like blunt or sardonic humour DOES work like I personally love it but it’s not being written OR executed right
A. It’s always in response to genuine moments or questions such as buck talking abt the award or the daddy kink joke or henren questioning him
B. It’s the the majority of what we see from him, there is not enough balance for it
C. Lack of rapport, when friends or couples make jokes that can come off the wrong way if said to anyone else it’s cos of the rapport built already, this rapport is not established with the characters OR with the audience for these jokes to come off right
D. I gotta say this one too but the execution just isn’t right from writing to acting, it’s the same reason sardonic humour lines from Sandra oh as Cristina Yang or hugh Laurie as house still lets you like the characters and find them funny but Tommys lines come off as annoying to a lot of people
3. I think fandom discourse probably has something to do with it but not in the way you think
I’m not saying like oh ppl who ship buddie just hate him cos of the ship no I’m saying that like what takes him from an annoying disliked character to a hated character is most likely the fact that his role stirred so much drama and caused so much damage to how the fandom used to be that its turned the dial up
4. A lot of his development, lore or redeemable factors or cute things are just not canon
This may be blunt and I am sorry for that but I think his character has been blown up to such a degree that it’s genuinely shocking
Like I look at posts or get sent hate and I’m like where did any of this happen this is just not canon this is just not a show like at times I’m genuinely convinced it’s a social experiment where different ppl saw a different show like some spiderman multiverse situation
Listen I’m all for headcanons genuinely like if you wanna take extra number three and make a whole backstory and lore and cute stuff abt her I’m all for it but it’s when it’s said as if it’s fact or canon that I’m like hold up a second rewind
I think this is kinda a result of Lou’s cameos (which honestly deserves its own post but you asked why the tommy hate so imma stay on topic) and also this like need to defend the character but not having much material to work with
Like if we look at canon we can literally break down the entirety of Tommys appearances this far in the show and what we learn about him:
• chimney begins- he makes a racist comment and he tries to suck up to Gerard, there is a little hint abt his gayness with the gf comment, Eli says to chimney that’s just how they are and tries to reason it could be fear of losing friends but we see tommy having friends in the firehouse while eli says this, chimney tries to make friends with him and tommy makes no attempt to get to know him and says he’d hate him anyways, chimney saves Tommys life thus earning his respect
• hen begins- she’s met with the same racism chimney is but also met with misogyny (and homophobia but that’s not relevant to the tommy of it all), we find out chimney is still isolated from the rest despite having earnt that respect, chimney befriends hen and again tommy still doesn’t try anything like that until hen proves herself and earns his respect, ppl reported Gerard but it’s never actually stated tommy was one of those ppl so again that’s not canon that’s speculated
• bobby begins- chimney and hen both seem to be like coworker friends with tommy and Sal, Sal throws hissy fit bobby “fires” him tommy says it’s an overreaction bobby reveals it was a transfer, they all seem to make nice, tommy leaves to 217
• chimney calls tommy for help and tommy helps
• we see nothing from tommy, then cruise ship he helps the team but also in this we find out hen cut off all contact since he left
• buck takes tour of harbour, Eddie and tommy have a friendship and we find out some of Tommys interests and that he was in the army, basketball scene and the subsequent apology and kiss
• dinner date, Tommy explains how he was in the closet, Buck has his little awkward moment (which will be elaborated on in my next point) , Tommy says nothing abt it till the Uber arrives and he leaves buck
• buck reaches out and apologises and asks for a second chance inviting tommy to the madney wedding
• bachelor party and the issue of the lack of costume and not just taking the day off for neither wedding nor bachelor party (which you can reason is reasonable but also I feel like this deserves its point for the narrative choices)
• tommy shows up straight outta work they kiss buck has the soot coming out award ceremony - buck being happy abt the reward to which tommy sardonically says enjoy it while it lasts enter bigoted cunt gerard then chimney comes and insults gerard and they walk away
• we don’t see tommy again till the dinner date after Bobby nearly died and when buck tries to explain Bobbys significance to his life tommy throws the your dad is still alive which is just honestly one of his worst moments imo and I made a whole post abt it but can’t find it and then we all know the rest of that convo and I could make a bullet point for it but actually I made a whole post before so I’ll link it: here
AND THATS IT
Like all this comes down to what maybe like 30 mins screentime? If that?
5. The leaving buck on their first date
The defences people use for this are:
• buck was trying to shove him back in the closet
• buck was obviously not ready
• people angry abt this are just babying buck like he can find his own way home it’s not that big of a deal
• buck was at fault there and tommy would’ve been justified in being angry and not giving him a second chance
And honestly every last one of these are bullshit imo and lemme go point by point
• buck panicked, I don’t think that what buck was feeling in that moment can be properly described because unless you’re a queer person and you’ve experienced that like bone deep panic that like brain overload then you won’t get it
Like one it’s his first queer date
Two he doesn’t even understand his own sexuality atp
Three his closest friend just walked in in a situation that’s already putting him on edge
So he’s not only panicking he’s not understanding why he’s panicking he’s trying to make excuses eventhough part of him knows he doesn’t need one but also he doesn’t even understand this side of himself yet so he doesn’t want to have to potentially explain it
Like it’s a million things and a million emotions and no one can claim they would behave rationally or appropriately in that situation and if you say that you would you’re lying simple as that
Also then we find out that Eddie thought tommy was straight anyways
• the reason I love the buddie coming out scene is because of Eddie’s “and what do you think” line because it’s not up to tommy or anyone else whether a person is “ready” enough in their queerness to date. Full stop.
Also tommy knew it was Buck’s first date with a man and was still down so why is he using that as some sort of out
•it’s not about babying buck and it’s not about him finding his own way home it’s the fact that Tommy could’ve done it with much more grace and he could’ve been a lot nicer with it but he wasn’t, and this is again bucks first date with a man even if it doesn’t end with a second date it should at the very least not end up with him feeling like a screw up on the side of the road
• to the ppl who say that- kindly shut up cos again see the first point but also I wanna point out that somehow the ppl saying this are also the same ones saying that Tommy was justified to be RACIST for a prolonged period of time due to being in the closet yet Buck what? Panicking for a few seconds and being a little awkward? is somehow this giant inexcusable thing
5. The narrative choices with him have been reasonably clear and tbh if they had been made with a woman it would not be up for debate:
• tommy leaves buck on their first date then he comes back and gives buck a chance- we as a fandom have been unanimous in saying for years that Buck’s endgame would be the one that doesn’t leave him cos this pattern has been something we saw over and over with him
• tommy not dressing up- again you can rationalise it but it’s a narrative choice and it’s glaring when contrasted with Eddie suggesting the duo costume
And if we had this scene with Taylor so many ppl would be saying that it’s once again showing that her and Buck’s personalities don’t align
• him being on standby for the wedding and bachelor party- again you can say oh buck invited him last minute or oh he couldn’t taken the day off (which lbr he could’ve he’s not the only firefighter pilot in la) - but again narrative choice
If it was Taylor everyone would’ve been like SEE? Again they’re showing the audience that her work is this looming presence in their relationship
Anyway I’m gonna shut up now cos this is A LOT
I’m so sorry it took me so long to respond tho and sending flowers in apology💐💐💐💐💐💐
Love ya for being so genuine when asking and hope all this didn’t come off too strong and that it was idk helpful?🫶🫶
I realise my response is abt to have toxic bt fans scurry to my inbox like rats to send hate and to that I say go fuck yourselves I’m responding to a question here

It's impressive how people continue insisting in label Tyler as a cold manipulative guy who never cared for Wednesday.
You guys really have to force this narrative! But with me, this is not gonna happen!
Tumblr media
We have SCENES where he genuinely smiles alone after talking to her or something like that.
Oh but he said he liked killing... Have you ever watched the show? Have you ever realized he was possessed by the Hyde when he said that? Have you ever realized he was on the verge of crying after the revelation? We don't know the dimension of his corruption or his Hyde, but on the show it's said that the Hyde  becomes the willing instrument of whatever nefarious agenda this new master might propose.
OH let me save you some time, Wednesday was not furious because he killed some people (AND PLEASE, he didn't kill Eugene on purpose because he was Wednesday's friend) or he was the monster. She was furious because she was outsmarted and betrayed by Tyler. The only person she opened her black little heart and he was the one who stomped it. He was the monster under her nose and she underestimated him. That's why he humiliated her with that monologue in the police station. He knew she was very competitive and the only way to hurt her was bringing that fact in to her face. By the way, ABSOLUTE CINEMA! Praises to Hunter.
Tumblr media
At the end, Wednesday understood very well what happened during the monologue about how Laurel manipulated and enslaved Tyler. And then we found out he was tortured, drugged, abused, groomed and corrupted in order to unlock the Hyde. So I fail to see him as the real villain.
Oh but he hated Wednesday and wanted to kill her! Excuse-me but Wednesday is not an angel: she almost killed 2 normies tossing piranhas in the pool, she said she would go further in the pranking against Xavier LOL she was about to hammer Tyler's knee if his father didn't interrupt her! And he possibly was ordered to kill any outcast before see her in the woods after Goody healed her.
Did Tyler hate her? You guys make me laugh! He hated her so much he wanted to kiss his nemesis! He hated so much he learned how to prepare that happy birthday coffee in one week! He hated her really bad that he prepared a date he knew she would like. What kind of hate is this? He saved at least 2 times as the monster and the first time was his free decision. He didn't know about her being an important key (!) to laurel´s plan.
I'm not saying here that he didn't manipulate her or lied to her. I know what he did. But he was forced to do those things! Do you really want to believe he wanted to lie for her? They really liked each other's company. It's not difficult to find the hints about how they are comfortable with each other. He loves her personality and she loves he likes her despite her personality! Isn't that obvious? They are not toxic as people keeping saying, but they were envolved in a toxic situation.
I'm really tired of people wishing Tyler's death on Twitter because they believe he is threat for Enid and the Wenclair ship. But let me save you more time because I'm genererous today: it's not gonna happen! Tyler is a main character. He is not gonna die. Wednesday has some sort of connection with him and we will find out what it is on S2. Besides that, the Hydes lore begins now. We have so much to learn and see! Let's wait.
That's it. Regards.
P.S.: I'm thinking about translating this text and transform into a thread on Twitter to bring more hate to my life from anti Tylers.

He boinks a book at you when he notices you dozing off, even though you invited him for a review at the library.
It was expected that his presence at a study session you had organized would boost your motivation to review more. However, the sheer boredom of you—the library and staleness, with lamps flickering in—created by such a dull background was working against you. However, as you focused on your notes, fatigue set in, and your eyelids began to droop.
On the other side of the table, Karma was partially immersed in his world, playing video games on his phone. He watched you fight against the advancing wave of sleep without your knowledge. His mind, however, was unconventional and quick to find new approaches even in silence, so he selected some method of making you stay awake.
Karma smiled slyly as he picked up a nearby book and figured out its direction before throwing it at you. The book hit softly against your head with a ‘boink.’ The shock hit you suddenly, and you glared at him aggressively.
"Karma, really?" you cried out, massaging the area of your head where the book hit.
He stared at you innocently, as if amazed. He quipped, "Hey! You were drifting off. Just doing my part to keep you alert and focused." His reply made you scoffed.
The unexpected wake-up call worked. The interruption caused by Karma had effectively broken down your sleepiness, which was looming large over you. Even if his approach was a little absurd, your lips curled slightly as you realized that, despite the circumstances, Karma had managed to maintain punctuality and spontaneous stimulation throughout the study.
Who's your rival in academics, sports, or video games, but expect a healthy dose of rivalry.
Under the dim light of Karma's gaming console screen, you and Karma were fighting in a video game. The room was alive with the rhythm of powerful blasts from controllers and the overdrive sound of your playful outcasts.
When the unreal battle appeared on screen, Karma couldn't help but smile knowingly. He teased, "Are you prepared to go down this round?" He touched the control with his fingers.
You countered with a confident smile. "I suppose we will find out. I hope you've been reviewing what you've learned, Karma."
The taunting was competitive, with each of you attempting to manipulate and navigate around the other in the video game. Laughter and occasional shouts of victory or defeat filled the room.
Despite intense competition, you and Karma maintained a tacit understanding. Each of you was respectful of the other's gaming abilities, which elevated the game beyond mere contention. Each action received either a respectful agreement or a quick-witted look, as if to emphasize the importance of jest in this competitive environment where fun was the ultimate goal.
Throughout the game, however, Karma managed to gain a foothold on you in a spectacular manner. He declared triumphantly, "Guess I won this time."
"Very good Karma. But the night is just beginning, and you still have a long way to go towards victory."
Whom you two have your own language and gestures, such as all-knowing smirks and eye signals.
You and Karma were always caught in an unusual act of communication while inside a gathering. A conversation, laughter, and the clinking of glasses filled the room, but the two of you conversed silently.
At that point, a mutual wink or fugitive eye signal was sufficient, as was your own secret code that went beyond written language. Those who were preoccupied with other people's conversations were unaware of the silent little communicative move that occurred between you and Karma, during which a sense of trust and unity developed.
Karma suddenly poured an all-knowing smirk on your face as you two shared that moment when nothing was said and no words were required. This was a language born out of shared experiences, inside jokes, and an unwritten oath that would grow stronger over time.
Whether it was a response to the ongoing conversation, a lighthearted joke, or simply two people having fun together, the smiles and eye movements were enough. It became a testament to your friendship, like a secret code known only to the two of you.
Who flicks your forehead at very random moments, whether at a serious moment, when you are spaced out, or eating.
Sitting in the library among rows of textbooks, which you shared with Karma during serious discussions about upcoming exams. He raised his brow with a mischievous look in his eyes, taking advantage of the opportunity while you were deep in conversation with him.
He suddenly warned you, "Watch out!" before flicking your forehead in an unexpected but friendly gesture.
You blinked in surprise and laughed. "Karma? Come on. I'm trying to concentrate here!"
"Absolutely! Distraction helps keep the mind alert and focused.
* * *
The following week, during a quiet moment in the school courtyard, Karma appeared beside you.
He quipped jokingly, "More deep thinking?" and hit you again on the forehead to emphasize his point.
You smiled childishly and shot at him. "Am I not allowed to get away from your forehead flicks?"
"What's the big deal about that?" he inquired, an enticing smile forming in his eyes.
* * *
With a flick, Karma took advantage of even the most casual lunch you two had together in your school cafeteria, for example, when you were about to bite on your sandwich.
"Karma!" You cried, partly laughing and partly protesting.
"Can't get away from that, it turns normal circumstances into extraordinary ones!"
As a result, Karma's forehead flicks have become an integral part of your daily conversations. These playful actions, whether trying to be serious or comical in nature, made your friendship have good moments between laughs and joy as if knitted on quicksilver.
Whom you share your "teas" and gossips with.
You and Karma were seated in a quiet nook of the local cafe, enjoying gentle conversation while smelling freshly brewed coffee and hearing distant murmurs. In that safe space, the "teas" and gossip flowed freely like threads woven for people's sheer amusement and trust.
How remarkable was it that, facing each other, you leaned forward, eager to share current events, even if they were scandalous. Karma began this exchange with a wink of the eye and in secret, initially sublimating it into a joke.
"All right, it's tea time. What is the most juicy detail about the incriminating rumor you have?"
As a result, the conversation became filled with laughter and animated faces. You would occasionally make comical observations about your classmates, teachers, and other characters in your lives. The teas shared were an entertaining mix of witty retorts, secrets offered and whispered, and bantered conspiracies.

Happy October, loves! In honour of my favourite time of year, here is a short spooky Larissa Weems x f!reader where Laurel Gates lives on...but as does Larissa.
It is based around a quote from the 1991 Addams family, and follows Season 1 of Wednesday where Joseph Crackstone is no longer. Season 2 calls for more mystery and gore? I say add Larissa's revenge. ~3.6k words
𓉸
"So I was thinking, since last Outreach day ended in disaster with the statue and all, perhaps we could do without an unveiling. Perhaps we could plan something sincere, something that may bring normies and outcasts together in a…"
You picked up your Weathervane hot chocolate, taking a sip.
"Darling?"
Recently, you have been feeling uneasy, if that was the correct word for it.
Uneasy when out in the town of Jericho, but also within the walls of Nevermore.
"Yoo-hoo? Darling?"
Last outreach day had been a disaster, and there had been numerous disasters that followed.
Still, she insisted on organizing another.
Why you agreed to help? You could never wrap your head around it.
You hoped November would never come.
Your gaze shot to blue as a hand softly landed on yours.
"What do you think?"
Blinking, you looked out the window, and then around the coffee shop.
"I think, um- maybe we shouldn't have an Outreach day this year, Larissa."
Her smile dropped to a frown, confusion evident on her face.
"Why not?"
You shook your head. You'd never want to disappoint her, but you had a feeling, a horrible feeling; a feeling of dread and death.
You only had this feeling few times before,
but you weren't about to tell her that.
꒦꒷꒷꒦꒦꒷꒷꒦꒦꒷꒷꒦
The new mayor of the town was…nice.
He was always smiling.
He was always helpful.
He was always weary.
Him, along with the students and residents of Jericho, were weary of the outcasts; as if they hadn't been before.
It was worse now, due to that night. Which was ironic, considering it wasn't the outcasts who were responsible.
Still, Larissa insisted on getting to know the new mayor, insisted on forming a cooperation with him.
He had rejected the idea of a cooperation.
He had rejected the idea of outcast and normie relations.
He had rejected the idea of an Outreach day; until he agreed.
You found yourself in the town, picking something up from the mayors office to deliver to the oh so busy Principal Weems.
As you walked down the decorated streets eager to return to Nevermore, you caught sight of red hair entering an alley way.
Crossing the road and making your way past Uriah's heap, you were about to turn down the alley when a boy brushed past, making you stumble back.
He walked slowly down the sidewalk, as if he had nowhere to be, yet determined to be somewhere at the same time.
Something within you knew that he was...familiar.
Trailing behind, you followed to the town square, to the church, and then, he stood.
Confused, you hid behind a close building, peeking around the corner.
Your brows furrowed as you realized that he seemed just as confused as you were, until he gazed directly at you and you faltered.
His face was crazed, he was foaming at the mouth. He looked sweaty and wild, uncontrollable.
Your heart skipped a beat as you concluded that he was standing exactly where the statue of Joseph Crackstone had stood last outreach day, and he gave you a wide smile.
Hiding around the corner of the building again, you closed your eyes as you breathed deeply.
Jericho was no longer the town that you knew; although it was the town that it always had been.
Secretive, unaccepting, and murderous.
Peeking around the corner once more, you were relieved to find nobody staring back at you.
As you high tailed it for Nevermore, you couldn't help but think few things:
One - Larissa could NOT hold an Outreach day.
Two - You were beginning to believe that you were losing your mind; not nearly as fun as you had anticipated.
And Three - That boy you saw, was dead.

Pushing open the doors to her office, you walked straight up to her desk.
"How was your trip into town?"
You let the papers fall onto her desk, trying not to lose your composure.
"We cannot hold an Outreach day."
With the tilt of her head and twitch of her lip, she furrowed her brows.
"You keep saying this, yet you're helping me plan it."
Taking a deep breath, you tried your best to convince her.
"I just, I have a very bad feeling, and I can't-I can't-"
Your best right now was not very good, at all.
Tears fell as you thought about why you shouldn't, why you couldn't.
Long legs carried the woman around her desk as she reached for you, sitting you on the couch in front of the fireplace.
"You can't what, love?"
She would never understand, because she wasn't there to witness it.
She wasn't there to see the fire, blazing in front of her as the dead came back for the living.
She wasn't there to see her students in danger, eyes wide as they feared for their lives.
She wasn't there to see how helpless the outcasts felt, how helpless they were; how helpless you were.
She wasn't there to see Joseph Crackstone and Laurel Gates before her very eyes.
She wasn’t there…
She wasn't there because,
"You almost died, Larissa."
Your words swirled around in the air, heard but not seen.
"But I didn't, and I haven't a clue what this has to do with Outreach day."
Closing your eyes, visions of people came back to you, visions of the dead.
Tears fell from your eyes in frustration, wishing that you could make her understand.
She saw Nevermore in shambles, she had built it back up.
She saw the fear of the aftermath, she had built it back up.
She saw her life flash before her eyes, and so had you.
"It’s just too soon. Students of Jericho high will not stand beside our students, people of Jericho will not stand beside us, and…"
And I will not stand beside you.
That was a lie.
You let your head fall into your hands as you let out a sob.
She gripped your body with all her strength and pulled you to her chest.
"The events of that night are still fresh in your mind, darling" she whispered.
"Joseph Crackstone is gone, we have nothing to fear."
Gripping onto her shoulders, you couldn't help but have fear.
She had almost lost the school.
You had almost lost her.
And you had seen Garrett Gates today,
but you weren't about to tell her that.

"Ah Nevermore, we love you so."
Gomez and Morticia Addams sat in front of her desk, Gomez kissing his wife's hand as they did.
"Larissa, it is so wonderful to see you thriving. I don't know what we would've done if you had left us."
Larissa quirked a brow at Morticia's words, looking her up and down.
"Perhaps you would've held a party?" she quipped.
Morticia snickered as she looked to Gomez, "There's the sense of humour that I always adored."
Larissa smirked their way, and silence overtook them as they stared at one another.
"But seriously, we feel awful for what happened."
"The Gates family, all dead" Gomez said.
"Poor Laurel, I can’t help but feel as though we hold some responsibility" Morticia added.
Larissa looked between the two with disdain, but she did feel bad.
"Well, it's done with now, yes?"
She wished they would just get to the matter of Wednesday Addams, yet again.
"Joseph Crackstone shall suffer irreparable consequences. They all shall."
Larissa couldn't help but think that death was enough.
"For what they did to our ancestors? Death will never be enough" Gomez added.
Larissa nodded, clasping her hands together on her desk.
"Well, I believe that we must put the past behind us, and thrive for a better future."
She watched as Morticia stood, approached her, and placed cold hands onto hers, lowering her voice.
"Sic Gorgiamus Allos Subjectatos Nunc. We gladly feast on those who would subdue us."
Blue eyes met brown as Larissa felt a cold spell cast around her.
Morticia waited a moment, then raised a brow as she released her hands from Larissa's warmth.
"Not just pretty words."

You accompanied Larissa to Pilgrim world, the new mayor insisted that she attend a pre Halloween 'Sinister Soirée' that he was holding.
She had agreed in hopes of pleasing the mayor, in hopes of getting closer to him for the better of Nevermore.
You knew what had happened 400 years ago, well, to an extent; and so did she.
You couldn't help but despise Jericho in some way, due to its brutal history.
Centuries ago, the pilgrims had hunted and executed those they deemed outcasts: anyone who didn’t fit their strict vision of purity.
You agreed that things weren't always black and white, there were shades of grey.
You agreed that the future didn't have to reflect the past.
But sometimes, you cannot let go of what happened, sometimes you cannot forgive and forget.
“I feel like we shouldn’t be here."
Larissa's grip tightened around yours as you made your way through the entrance.
You thought about her, and how she thrived for the better of Nevermore, the better of outcasts; you admired that.
But all the same, you were conflicted.
How had she been to hell and back, knowing of the injustice, experiencing it first hand; yet keeping the same outlook.
She knew deep down that the outcasts weren't safe.
She knew deep down that she wasn't safe.
"We can leave, Larissa."
She peered down at you through cold lashes as the new mayor approached.
"Principal Weems, so good to see you."
Larissa clasped her hands together in that innocent way that you knew so well.
It was odd, to see her as not Principal Weems, not Larissa, but dressed up in a costume so ethereal and otherworldly, like a ghost from a forgotten era.
"Mayor Winslow, thank you for hosting tonight. Such a fun event!"
You rolled your eyes as you adjusted your outfit, draped in layers of shadows.
"Thank you for coming. I hope you enjoy the haunted crypt walk, and perhaps try some fudge."

Strolling down the Cobblestone streets of Pilgrim world, you couldn't help but feel uneasy, so deeply unsettled.
Maybe Larissa should've brought someone who, specifically, had any ability besides the ability to see the dead. Alas, that thought made you jealous.
You had avoided Pilgrim world for so long, and everything in Jericho the like.
Already feeling the cold presence of the dead, it lingered in the air, watching from the shadows of the ancient trees.
You needed a distraction, and you needed it now.
"Oh, the tavern! Can we go in?"
꒦꒷꒷꒦꒦꒷꒷꒦꒦꒷꒷꒦
You entered the dimly lit tavern, spotting one open table as you sat across from the Principal.
"Pilgrims of the night, what can I get for you?" A voice thick with faux historical enthusiasm.
Your gaze lifted from the pale woman to…a religious fanatic.
The very symbol of zealotry and hatred, Joseph Crackstone himself.
Your eyes widened, hands moving quickly to grip the woman's arm across from you.
Looking down at you, she took your hand in hers, rubbing her thumbs over it soothingly.
"We're alright, love."
Right. It wasn't really him, because Larissa could see him too.
"We're hardly Pilgrims," you managed, gesturing vaguely at yourself.
Larissa eyed you down, a smirk appearing on her face. "No, we certainly aren't" she said, turning her attention to the waiter.
You took in the ambiance of Pilgrim world, shooting her a look as you were, after a short time, fed up with the pilgrim's that surrounded you; those alive and dead.
"It takes a special kind of stupid to devote and entire theme park to zealots responsible for mass genocide."
The waiter then reached your table and set down the drinks, his grin faltering as he raised an eyebrow.
"Who you calling stupid?"
You held his gaze, unflinching, "If the buckled shoe fits."
The principal chuckled softly, shaking her head as she lifted her drink.
"Do behave, darling," she teased, her eyes hinting at your shared disdain for the charade around you.

"Line up for the haunted crypt walk!"
You moved outside and stood in line, dragging Larissa with you hand in hand.
Walking through the partially lit up streets, you tried to enjoy your time envisioning the good old days.
Well, they were not good, you supposed; but they were old.
As you strolled, you tried your hardest to forget about your ability, but your ability would never forget about you.
"And here is the old barn, a place where they stored crops, grain, and livestock."
You looked to the right to find the old barn standing strong.
"Unfortunately, it was set ablaze one night containing the livestock, but it has been rebuilt since. Pilgrim world has remarkably been rebuilt to 30% of it's original structure."
Larissa listened to the haunted walk tour guide, before gazing down at your apprehensive, perhaps terrified demeanour.
The barn transformed to a burnt structure, only the frame, floor, and partial walls remaining.
Out of nowhere it was up in flames; hay, crops, animals, and people littered the floor.
The animals looked at you with fear, the smoke clouded your vision, and Larissa, Larissa watched you with tears in her eyes.
You gasped as you kneeled down in front of her.
"There is no time, child."
Taking her hands into yours, you attempted to help her up.
"Leave me, save yourself. He's chained us all to the floor."
People where chained to the floor, outcasts were chained to the floor; with nowhere to run and nowhere to hide.
You pulled with all of your force at the chains before attempting to break them from her wrists.
"I shant leave without you."
Your gaze focused on hers, but it wasn't what you knew.
Her accent filled your ears, but it was old.
Her hair flowed freely, her clothing in tatters.
She had the same sad eyes, but they didn't glisten, they didn't speak to you in the same way.
"Run, avenge us. Find the others and save our future."
You stood as she disappeared from your vision, backing away slowly.
"You are our only hope."
Coughing, you attempted to wave away the smoke as the barn in front of you reverted back to it's present state.
You had thought that the meeting house was the only place where outcasts were burned; of course that wasn't enough.
Turning in fright, you looked for those on the haunted crypt walk, met with only the dark of the night.
Everyone was gone, including Larissa.
"Larissa?"
꒦꒷꒷꒦꒦꒷꒷꒦꒦꒷꒷꒦
Strolling throughout the streets alone, you couldn't help but think about how lonely it would've been.
But the reality was, you weren't alone.
You could see only them; pale figures standing just beyond the veil of mist, their faces gaunt, hollow-eyed, staring.
They weren’t just ghosts. These were the spirits of pilgrims and outcasts, the ones who had been hunted, burned, and hanged for their abilities.
They were you, and you were them.
Making your way past the ol' haberdashery and fudge shop, you found an old house, one you hoped would be free of the dead and horror.
Entering through the front door, you passed through the keeping room, until you found an open passageway.
It was dark, far too dark for you to see anything; besides the figure of a tall white haired woman.
“Larissa!” you shouted in fear and relief.
You saw her, Larissa, standing in the darkness of a dimly candlelit room, her back turned.
Relief flooded your veins.
“Larissa, thank God” you breathed, running toward her.
“What happened?"
As you neared, something stopped you cold.
Larissa’s body was still, too still; you froze.
The figure turned slowly, and your blood ran empty.
It wore Larissa’s face, her exact face, but her hopeful eyes were wrong.
They were hollow, dead. Her smile was cruel, a twisted mockery of Larissa’s usual painted grin.
“You're just in time for the feast,” the figure said, its voice a low rasp.
You stumbled back, this was not Larissa.
It was something else, something ancient, and it had stolen her form.
“Where is she?” you demanded, voice shaking.
The figure smiled wider. “She is with us now. She is where she belongs.”
Your pulse quickened, you couldn’t lose Larissa again. Not to this place, not to whatever dark force lingered here.
The figure’s form began to shimmer, its edges blurring, and in an instant, it transformed; morphing into the twisted face of an old woman, a pilgrim, her eyes burning with malice.
“You outcasts were always ours” she hissed. “And tonight, we feast.”
The darkness suddenly lit up, your view of pilgrims evident as you watched them feast.
An old dinner table, wood and bone carved forks and knives.
They were eating meat; they were eating outcasts.
“I can see you” you whispered, hoping to keep your voice steady. “I see all of you.”
The dead paused, their hands retreating.
“You think you can subdue us?!”
It was loud, fueled by your anger, you could feel it radiating from the outcasts, radiating from the loss of Larissa.
“You think you can keep us chained here?”
The pilgrim spirit hissed at you, her face contorting with fury.
“You are nothing but prey.”
Your lips twisted into a sinister smile as you backed away.
“We gladly feast upon those who would subdue us.”
꒦꒷꒷꒦꒦꒷꒷꒦꒦꒷꒷꒦
You awoke outside, feeling the cold hands of the dead that had brushed against your skin.
They pulled you, drug you toward the church.
Your head pounding from the insufferable onslaught, you couldn't remember exactly how or why you had ended up here.
Muffled screams caught your attention as you stumbled toward ancient wood doors.
The church stood as a grim reminder of the village’s past, its stone walls blackened by centuries of dark history.
"Let me out of here!"
There was banging from the inside, but the doors wouldn’t budge.
“Larissa?” you shouted, fear clutching at you.
You would recognize her voice anywhere, even in panic, even when she sounded ghostly.
"Please help" she pleaded, tugging at the doors.
Even in times like these, you couldn't find a way.
You couldn't find a rock, you couldn't find a spell, you were no professional at teleportation; and you learned the meaning of dread.
Even the outcasts couldn't face the fury of those who lived to wrong them.
As you hauled on the wooden doors in hopes of freeing Larissa, they suddenly flew open and sent you back to the ground.
You quickly ran inside, watching in terror as Larissa was summoned; gliding helplessly across the floor and up to the altar of the church.
“I’ve been waiting for you” a voice, low yet warm.
“You are of my blood, and the time has come.”
Larissa was still and wide eyed, held in place as she spoke nervously.
"I can hear you, but I cannot see."
You took a breath, watching as Larissa, the version of her you had earlier spoken to in the old barn, moved until she was inches before the principal.
You swallowed deeply and whispered. "She's right in front of you, Larissa. She looks like you, perhaps your ancestor."
Larissa’s eyes darkened, her body tensing as if something had woken inside her.
She spoke in a way that you have never learned before; she was timid, confused.
“Time for what?” she asked, though you could hear the answer in the dead woman’s silence.
“Revenge,” her ancestor whispered.
Suddenly, the doors of the church slammed shut.
You could feel the dead rising all around. The spirits of the outcasts, those who had been wronged were no longer content to stay in the shadows. They wanted justice, and they had waited long enough.
"Joseph Crackstone may be gone, but Laurel Gates lives on."
Larissa took a shallow breath, retrieving the ability to close her eyes.
"I believe in a better future for outcasts. I'm working to bring outcasts and normies together in…in harmony."
You panicked as she started choking out her words, her breath becoming less as she spoke.
As you placed a hand in hers, her ancestor glided away as a disappointed mother would from her child; just to be peering down at her within a second.
She cupped her cheek with her dead hand, and you wondered if Larissa could feel it.
"It is up to you, my child, but this is a warning. They do not rest, they killed us all, and they now come for you."
Larissa's ancestor faded into the ether, dissolving into nothingness as Larissa herself began to rise, lifted slowly and steadily towards the towering ceiling of the ancient church.
You felt panic welling up inside as you gripped her hand tightly, but it was no use.
Fingers slipped away from hers, powerless to stop her from being pulled higher and higher into the eerie shadows above.
Your breath caught in your throat as you watched Larissa suspended midair, her eyes wide with fear as a faint whisper sounded.
"Sic Gorgiamus Allos Subjectatos Nunc."
Suddenly, as if responding to some unseen command, Larissa was hurled back down to the stone floor and the heavy wooden doors of the church flew open.
You rushed to the woman's side as she sat up in shock.
Kneeling, you watched the weight of the revelation settle over her like a cold fog.
"Laurel Gates lives on."
You placed a hand on her shoulder, gazing into blue as she turned to look at you.
Your voice was soft, and you prayed that she finally understood.
"The normies will reject outcasts, a rift sealed by fate itself. Eternal, unyielding, haunting us with the certainty that acceptance will remain beyond our grasp, evermore."
You cupped her cheek as tears threatened to fall. "We gladly feast."
Larissa’s lips pursed, her gaze narrowing as she stood and pulled you up with her.
She took your hands firmly, her eyes gleaming with a dark, unspoken truth.
"And Laurel," she said commanding, her voice full of dangerous promise as a smile played on her lips, "is just in time for the feast."
