The flag design is based off the bear flag. The black, brown, orange, and off white are common colors of calico cats. With the lighter blue-green representing non-binary and multi-gender men, and the darker blue representing binary men

Desirsinglet

A desirdae term term for those in systems who want / yearn / desire to be a singlet. This could for example refer to

A system who want to achieve final fusion*

Some alters or an alter in a system wanting final fusion*, while other alters don't.

A system wishing that they were never a system to begin with, but also not wanting final fusion

An alter who wishes they had their own body and brain

A system who wishes they were a singlet because it would make their life easier

Ect

(*Not everyone who achieves final fusion considers themself to be a singlet, but some do)

This was made partially because honestly we were just really surprised that it didn't exist yet.

This term is in full support of communally agreed on final fusion. It is not in support non agreed on/forced fusion, or dental of one's system in an attempt to live as a singlet.

Uh because we didn't like any of the ones that currently exists, and we needed it to make the desirsinglet flag, Here's(below) a singlet flag. The flag is inclusive of those achieved final fusion and choose consider themselves to be singlets.

The red, orange, and yellow represents the mind and experience of self. The various colors represent how most singlets still experience disparate elements to their personalities and identities, while still being singular.

The off whit light gray is for having a to oneself brain, and the gray is for having a to oneself body.

a label or role for headmates who identify as/with dogs, especially sled dogs, and who get shit done. “getting shit done” can mean different things to different folks; we originally came up this term for one of our guys, ❄️ or Juneau, because ze feels a strong connection to sled dogs and is our token serious, protective, and extremely driven/motivated member. most of us don’t really identify with roles, but ze liked the idea of a label for hirself to represent hir job within the clade and how ze helps us in day-to-day life! if any of y’all identify with this label/role and the idea of “getting shit done” but not our specific definition of it, then feel free to use it to represent whatever it means to you!!

this is our very first plural-related coining! we haven’t made flags for them yet, but there are four sub-labels under this label that are named after the four sled dog positions and represent different roles one can fill in the process of completing (usually complex or multi-step) tasks:

lead dog: headmates who “get shit done” by leading others into/through tasks, who are often the first to initiate tasks (especially when the system struggles with doing so), or who plan out and/or set the pace for tasks that need to be done.

swing dog: headmates who “get shit done” by keeping up momentum on tasks, getting others involved in tasks that have already been started, or managing in-progress tasks.

team dog: headmates who “get shit done” by doing the majority of work on longer tasks or working for long periods of time, and/or who utilize working in teams to complete tasks.

wheel dog: headmates who “get shit done” by doing particularly strenuous, difficult, frustrating, or aversive tasks that others (in or outside of the system) can’t or don’t want to do.

Changelian - A xenogender wherein ones' gender is that of a Changeling, the species of Faefolk. This is a Fae that is believed to take the form of a Human and mimic their behavior in order to live among them. Some Changelings are said to replace Human babies or young children, while others are said to be Humans transformed by Fae magic. Changelings are often considered to be under the shapeshifter umbrella. Someone who is changelian might feel like their identity is ever-shifting or adjusting to the world around them, or like their inner Fae identity is "covered up" by their human exterior. It's common for one changelian to experience their gender very differently from the next - what connects every one is the gender experience tied to Being a Changeling.

This gender is intended for people who're either on the autism spectrum or are Changelingkin/otherwise Changeling-aligned alterhuman. Due to the history of Changeling mythology, please do not use this term if you're not one of these.

The flag begins with dark green, forested colors at the bottom, going through a desaturated and hazy change in the middle before emerging as a golden-yellow, a color we personally associate with humans. It pays homage to the concept of Changeling children coming from the forest.

Thinking about how Frenchie and Ed have almost the same coping mechanism.

How Frenchie is terrified of cats but he creates multiple flags with cats on them. Then during the Kraken era he wears a jacket that has a cat in it and puts knives in his hands to defeat his enemies. Yet he takes all his trauma and locks it away in a box in his head.

How Ed is scared of spiders and snakes and puts tattoos of them on his body (one in a much more visible place so that he can get over his fears. But instead one is on his back, where he'll never see it, and the other he covers with black gloves.

plurid

A “plurid”, short for “plural identity”, is something as or with which the system collectively identify and/or that affects identity throughout the system in a way that affects how the system present themselves. A plurid can be a collective identity such as being gay, dogkin, or disabled. This might be an identity that is very common among individual members, that is ascribed to the system's singletsona/that they present as, that they have lived experiences or a social circle associated with, or that no individual member has but that they feel they make up collectively. However, something can be a collective identity for any reason. A plurid can also be something that isn't necessarily an identity itself but that can affect identity, such as love, outer space, or books. While these things have identities associated with them (e.g. lovegender, spacekin, writer), they are not themselves actually identities.

These are called xenoplurids, although it is not important when coining a plurid to denote if it is a xenoplurid or not, and there can be gray areas or in-system disagreements. The counterpart to "xenoplurid" is "oikoplurid". However, if the coiner prefers to call it something else, this is also acceptable A system can use "[thing]plurid" as a label, or they can say "[thing] is our plurid". This post is a self-recoin. The original coining post for plurid can be found here, and while the thing it describes is still a form of plurid, the original definition is narrower than how it is now defined. The difference between the old version of plurid and the current version is that the old version of plurid only covered things that "typically" constitute identities (e.g. genders, kintypes, orientations, etc.) whereas the recoined version of plurid includes things that affect identity in ways outside of being the identity itself.

Mask (System Role)

A mask is an alter that serves to hide the system. Masks may be situations specific or not, for example a system my have a mask that specifically deals with visiting the doctor.

Masks are not inherently "good" or "bad". Their attempts to hide the system may be harmful to the system or specific alters at times. In other instances they may be very helpful. It is often important for the system to communicate with the mask(s) in order for everyone to be accurately represented.

They may be the default alter to front around other people. This could be everyone who's not part of the system, or specific people. Some may speak for others within the system as if they are speaking for themself.

Masks are not the same as singletsonas or collective identities. Masks are just as capable of having their own identities as any other alter in the system. Masks may also have other roles as well.

Flag meaning(because it stresses me out when people don't put the meaning behind their color choices)

The colors are based off of common colors used in masquerade masks.

Red - Is for situations in which the mask feels the need to hide the system from potential threats

Blue - Is for situations in which the mask feels the need to hide the system to appear more "respectable" or "professional"

Black - Is for hiding the system in general, and information regarding it.

Gray - Is for situations in which the mask feels that it is safe for the system to be themselves.

Orange - Is for the mask's own identity and sense of self.

Light blue-grey - Is for the potential feeling of less of identity and sense of self that masks may experience because of filling the role.

PD-TS (Personality Disorder Trait Specified) awareness flag

What is PD-TS: This disorder can manifest in many ways, such as: The person having a lot of personality disorders, not having enough traits of personality disorders to be diagnosed specifically, or having a personality disorder that doesn't fit with current diagnostics of existing personality disorders.

In the past the DSM has had (and now removed) similar diagnoses such as PDNOS (Personality disorder not otherwise specified).

Please note that there is not much readily available information about PD-TS, it is incredibly under researched.

Color meanings: I decided to do a rainbow(ish) color pattern to represent the spectrum of personality disorders PD-TS can encompass. However, the colors are slightly muted and mismatched as the experiences with this disorder are upsetting and confusing. Each color does not have a specific meaning.

Symbol meaning: The symbol is a multipointed star, it shows the many ways in which this disorder can manifest for many people.

The second symbol used in these flags is the general PD symbol by delphientropy

Who can use this flag? Anyone who has PD-TS or is questioning having PD-TS (and those without for icon/headcanon reasons), although I will say that transid this flag is not for you.

Other flags: I am aware of an existing PD-TS flag, so consider this an alternative rather than an original. The flag can be found here and was made by neopronouns.

*also including chromosomes variations such as XYY, Turner Syndrome/X0, and even though it's doesn't match up with the cat genetics theme Klinefelter syndrome/XXY.

[Note: in terms of real life cat genetics these terms would not really be exactly equivalent. While it is true that solid color orange cats are more likely to have XY, by what is estimated to be about 80%, this is not the same as the around 99.90% of calicos/tortoiseshells having XX. We just wanted to make an equivalent term that keeps the cat theme]

This can mean a system's innerworld, headmates, roles, or functions are affected by weirdcore, but it's not necessarily an origin. If this has been coined before, feel free to use this as an alternate term. This term (and flags) can be posted anywhere, credit preferred when posted to wiki sites.
