gee whiz guys, 300 followers already? thank you so much for all the support; all the reblogs, likes, and especially the sweet comments and requests! it’s been so nice writing on tumblr again, especially getting inspiration from all the other amazing writers on here.

it’s not a huge milestone so I figured I’d do something simple like a “meet the writer” post! if you have any more (respectful) questions for me, feel free to ask!

Dane Tabris, Warden Commander, Hero of Ferelden.

I started this project..... end of april of this year. With all the da4 news I decided it was time to power on trough the last outfit I was working on - which was also the most complicated, cuz I did all the fucking layers separately to understand how the outfit works.

The first picture is his gear transformation during origins (recruitment/ostagar -> during the blight -> landsmeet/final battle). the other two are his Warden-Commander gear from Awakening onward. He doesn't change it up much after that.

Sighing wistfully. I think vinsmokecest redeemed Ichiji would still be very distant and very minimally a touch-instagator when it comes to his siblings. Like in my head, yes obviously they're free from germa, live together, and are in a polycule. (Yes Sanji is in it too even though he lives with strawhats. 0124 just “”somehow”” and “”coincidentally”” appear on the same islands that he's on quite often. They ain't subtle. At all.)

But basically what i mean is while his siblings, coughYonjiespeciallycough, often show their love through kissing, hugging, and touching, i am a firm believer that Ichi's a gift giver/acts-of-servicer. This idea first started by me thinking how funny it'd be if any of 0234 said they wanted something super offhandedly (like.. Reiju half-heartedly mumbling about how pretty the earrings of that one noble woman back in that town two islands ago were) and then suddenly it's Ichiji's life mission to go Get That Damn Thing.

Reiju wants that pair of earrings? Ichiji is going back to that island and is killing that woman herself if she won't hand them over. Yonji suddenly really wants a trinket from a store halfway across the Grand Line?? Ichiji left 5 minutes ago to get it. Niji needs new goggles and the business that normally provides him with them comes from the south blue??? Mf Ichi's already scaling the red line. Sanji wants a certain spice that can only be found in the new world???? Ichiji's halfway to laughtale lookin for it.

Idk just. The idea of Ichiji dropping off the face of the earth and then showing up again after 2-5 business days of going awol only to have one of his partners wanted trinkets wrapped up in a cozy little gift is making me crazy. 0234 are concerned every time he's gone for too long (specifically Niji and Yonji, they got that Separation Anxiety) but everytime Ichi comes back with that smug, almost invisible smirk holding an item so small and meaningless to literally everyone but them, their hearts melt and they just can't stop smothering him for the next day or so. And Ichiji just basks in it bc, while he's not one to advance with physical affection, i said nothin about him rejecting it :]

Luba holding up his phone camera flash to his webcam and narrating that Joui has taken a picture of them together is sending me. he literally 📸 caught them in 4k.

YAY love thinking of this stuff. ok i have a post from 2021 w some of my opinions i still broadly agree with:

quick disclaimer. my main opinion forever is these motherfuckers would NOT listen to mother mother or tally hall or cavetown or jack stauber or AJR. sansa MIGHT. but not a single other character would. im sorry to break the news to you. there is a HUGE difference between 'song that reminds you of character' and 'song character would listen to' and im sorry but robb stark is NOT listening to the oh hellos no matter how much you think soldier poet king fits him. doing the starks + theon send asks if u want a specific character :^)

ROBB he likes kanye west do not even fucking try and claim otherwise. he likes UK drill and all kinds of rap and 90s r&b. he listens to the top 40 when working out. the gayest thing he listens to is beyonce. i also think he likes country music (sorry.)

THEON oh everything. lots of electronic and if he's in charge of the aux cord he puts on whatever it most annoying and bad for the vibe. i do think he's a little bit lana del rey especially post-ramsay. definitely a barb just to be annoying. would never be honest about his music taste. is a dj :)

JON teen jon listens to paramore mcr etc but older jon likes tame impala and king gizzard. def an arctic monkeys/snow patrol/strokes/kooks kinda guy. im on the fence about mitski on the more dubious side. beach boys pet sounds. WEEZER AND NIRVANA.... lots of grunge. he and robb listen to wu tang and NWA together. can play guitar and did wonderwall oasis for ygritte to impress her and she was like ach canae ye listen tae good music even?

SANSA swiftie all the way. i may not like the blonde devil's music but it is undeniable that sansa is a swiftie. i think she likes pop and folk. lots of female artists :) goes to pop concerts with margaery and gets vip backstage passes cos margaery is kind of a starfucker name dropper and uses it to impress sansa on dates. can play piano and maybe also flute or violin...

ARYA everything that gives you tinnitus. heavy metal industrial noise. bonds with jon over grunge. punk and grindcore. every kind of metal you can think of. and yes she is a juggalo. she likes insane clown posse (argue with the wall) her and gendry + lommy + hot pie are in a terrible band together. plays drums FOR SURE

BRAN beatles :) psychedelic rock.... i still see him as pretentious about music 😭 listens to pink floyd The Wall high with the reeds. makes music in garageband its actually pretty good.

Sometimes it sucks being into aus that are kinda dog shit across the board. everyone posting their fun and flirty sunday hcs and there is really so little I can say about miles in this good christian minecraft server that isn’t just. a heinous affront to god.

there is a lot to say about the ethical problems and blandness of AI art but also just as someone who likes digital art because it’s low maintenance low cost to pursue, i think that it’s INCREDIBLY BORING to look at ai art because the creative process is lost

like people might gripe that digital art isn’t “real” art because of the difference in craft 

but ultimately i think each individual artist shapes their workflow to suit their needs and some people are able to do a lot of design work using presets and filters and photo-bashing and generative tools in ways that are creative and using a process that takes thought and problem solving

and personally i like the process of high effort art in traditional mediums and that reflects in my digital drawings, i love painting to render texture and light to an image for example, while i do use brushes and other tools overall i think the actual act is soothing and fun

and i think the creative collaboration when working with someone else’s prompts (a process that can be immensely frustrating when one-sided) is also a valuable experience as people can ask questions and negotiate concepts you might not have thought of on your own. the immediacy of output with ai, the way it flattens composition to the most common plagiarised components, it’s fun as a what if or a starting  point but it is a creatively incomplete endeavour specifically because the ai is communicating nothing and the person creating the prompt is almost entirely removed from the creative process. one sided intentionality without the meat of creation

ALSO for contrast i was thinking about the tradition of fractal art/fractal flames dating back to the 80s but more specifically being boosted in popularity alongside the world wide web thanks to one person’s algorithm in 1992. that guy now works in AI generation but back in the 90s he created an open source code that took mathematical iteration and translated it into graphics in common software applications that anyone could use. as a result i saw so many cool abstract almost mandala-like spacey images in the 2000s on deviantart and people are still making them today. it’s an artform that can only be successfully executed thanks to computers, it i complex in the process of execution but thanks to computers the process of creation is quick and seperate from human effort, the output is also very nice to look at. 

Why do i like this form of generative computer art and not so called a.i?  Because the algorithm for fractal art is pure mathematics translated into imagery, while generative a.i/neural networks datasets inherently require an input of other people’s work. a process that requires ethical consideration in ways that mathematical inputs do not. both use data to create images but what do they feed on? how are they applied? does their implementation say anything about their process or output? 

because as far as i see it, technology is neutral and usage is where the good and bad emerge, the process of generative images is a marvel of technology and how we as people love to create. but the way that these tools synthesise what they are given is a process so seperate from the people inputing prompts i really feel like it’s people losing the most fun parts of art (emotion, communication, and participation) and receiving the worst results of commodification of art (plagiarism, formulaic content, aesthetic cowardice, narrow perspectives, exploitation)

isn't it funny to see Elon Musk blacklist the word "cis" from Twitter and go as far as label it a slur on the community guidelines when he got hailed as the messiah of freedom of speech? 🙃

I mean, we can say a lot of things about the trans lobby and their ridiculous lingo, but..."cis" isn't a slur in and of itself

The only reason non trans would taking offense in being called as such is because you think the way trans people use it is the way you use "trans" as a derogatory slur on the regular 🙃
