@meanderingstream thank you for the reminder: I've been meaning to say that Orthopox (the fancy name for mpox) is resurging this year. Here's an npr article that does a pretty decent breakdown of the current concerns and talks about the available vaccine.

Covid is "totally not a pandemic," but HHS has put it on the same level as Zika, Anthrax, nerve agents, and Ebola. Strange.

US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra today signed the 12th amendment to the declaration under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act (PREP) Act for COVID-19 countermeasures, a step that provides liability immunity through December 31, 2029.

The declaration provides immunity, except for willful misconduct, for certain claims, including loss caused by or related to administration or use of countermeasures to diseases, threats, or conditions, according to information from the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR), which is part of HHS.

Present or credible risk The immunity applies to situations deemed by the HHS secretary as a present or credible risk of a future public health emergency. It also applies to groups or individuals involved in development, production, testing, distribution, and administration of countermeasures.

The PREP Act was enacted in 2005 to help protect pharmaceutical companies from financial risk in the event of a declared public health emergency. The act also provides funding for pandemic influenza preparedness. ASPR notes that the PREP Act declaration is different from and not dependent on other emergency declarations.

Similar PREP Act declarations are currently in effect for countermeasures against a range of other biological or chemical threats, including mpox and other orthopox viruses, viral hemorrhagic fevers such as Ebola, nerve agents and insecticides, Zika virus, pandemic flu, anthrax, acute radiation syndrome, and botulinum toxin.

Funny enough I knew if this character for a while (had a neighbor who had the original game and we both use to freak out over the fact that Zim’s VA was in it lol).

But that’s about it, never developed a crush on him (or Orthopox).

Unfortunately not, I don't wanna complicate things TOO much :') Only canon IZ characters. But they can be canon to the show, movie, OR comics, I'll take any of em.

This entire scene is so ZIM coded… if ZIM was actually competent…

But the similarities are there. The under-appreciation of their abilities by their peers, their huge aspirations (ZIM wants to be the greatest Irken Invader, POX wants to be the savior of the Furon race), having to fight to actually be taken seriously (as indicated by Orthopox practically begging the council to green light his mission), being practically stranded on Earth with nothing but a bare-bones set of equipment and an underling who would much rather do their own thing (thankfully for Orthopox, Crypto actually knows how to follow orders. Even if he does so begrudgingly at times), … the way they try to portray a sense of greatness and superiority.,,

They think

“How can they not see how AMAZING I am, how IMPORTANT my mission is? What I’m trying to accomplish for the empire! Everyone who dares go against me are IDIOTS! MORONS who simply don’t understand my mission!”

ZIM fans would love Orthopox, I just know they would.

Teenage Zombies from Outer Space!

I guess this is my first art of the new year even though I've been doing it on and off for about a week testing out some art supplies I got for Christmas :3 I've been playing DAH! 1 and 2 lately so it's been on my mind.

It's my birthday today! Hard to believe how fast time has gone by that I am now 21.... I don’t feel it... 

Anyway, I was able to create a small piece to commemorate the occasion by having some of my original characters being kind to give me a red velvet cake after taking over the Super Robot temporarily...  

We have Nia Zupan (My Jinmay Replica OC), Eki (Main protagonist of ‘Hunted Butterfly’) and Danny (From Team Unity) with a new character in the mist. 

This new character is a female Furon from Destroy All Humans! Series, her name is Myasthenia or just Mya (May-Ya). She’s a researcher and scientist who helps Crypto and Orthopox on their mission while on Earth, surprisingly she and Crypto are close friends. Mya isn’t like other Furons as she’s calm and kind in her own way. At a later date, I will refine her design more and reveal more information. 

Gave the trio of kids some new outfits, although I was really exploring with a new design for Danny and Nia since I had intentions of redesigning Danny and I felt that Nia could have a minor change. Eki outfit in this was a one-off design, will probably never use it again. 

Don’t mind Nia’s words, she likes to bully me. Danny was waiting for the cake. Mya is not used to human children/teenagers so she’s just going along with them. Eki is the only one not being mean to me, that sweetheart.
