Hi there everyone, I have some very special news that I’d like to share for all of you…my AleTyler story is finally complete! It’s now available to read on both Wattpad and AO3! 🥳✨🏳️‍🌈

I was going to save this announcement for when I came up with a good title for this tale, but unfortunately, I haven’t really been able to find one that seems like the right fit, so I’ve decided to just go ahead and make this post regardless. The title will come soon though, I think it’s just going to end up being something that will simply show up when it does. 🍃

And also, @whereislyn was the one that created the gorgeous artwork that you’re seeing here above! This is the cover for my story and it really captures the true spirit of what I wanted this tale to be like, beautiful job done by them! 💟💫

But yeah, I hope that you all like this little love story I have made for these two kings! It was so much fun to write and I also hope that it’s a little bit as much fun for you reading it as it was for me making it. Enjoy!!! 🫶🏼💞

Gwen sort of is but isn't like Duncan. She's mostly a cuddler when she's freezing because she's always cold and Duncan's always warm.

do you think during alejandro's childhood he was very touch deprived so once he and tyler started dating alejandro was practically clinging to him 24/7

i can imagine tyler getting a little startled because alejandro's footsteps make like, no sound at all so tyler would be doing something and suddenly alejandro comes up from behind and just hugs him.

It'd been a crazy year, my goals for 2024 was to create as much Gwuncan content as possible until my hyperfixation slip away... but somehow, I'm still here 🤣

I still have a lot of plans for my blog and for my writing. Next year, I really want to learn how to draw and not die in the process. Also, the idea of making edits (like the wonderful @dududuuuuudud gwuncan edits), always interested me.

For my gwuncan fanfiction future's ideas... Well, I kinda need to slow down and actually focus on one or two ideas. I literally have like 20... and they just keeps coming 😭

Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to read them and supported them. It means more than you think, given the fact that I wasn't that confident in my English writing skills. I still commit a couple errors, but I'm less hard on myself.

The love I have for Gwen and Duncan, as characters and as a couple haven't diminished. To the contrary, it was amplified by the content I'd created throughout this year.

Alejandro is insane, really, really, really, really insane. The only reason why insane asylum still exist are because of him kind of insane.

He hates humans. They're all undeserving. Animals are an exception, they're nice.

When he tries to commit genocide, via inserting little tiny microbombs into the food and water supply throughout the whole world, all he needs to do is press a button and everyone would die.

But he stops. Because Tyler wants to play football.

Tyler. That lonely kid he befriended at the playground all those years ago when he still believed in atonement.

Afterwards, the world doesn't feel like it's his to destroy anymore.

Do you have any angsty Gwuncan headcanons’?

Well, well, here I am... with angst. Be aware, these contain themes of mental health issues.

Their loneliness met each other but in opposing ways. Duncan adopts a "Everyone is my enemy" mentality, using rebellion as armor. Meanwhile, Gwen has a predisposition for solitude, believing, "Better alone than with bad company."

Both Duncan and Gwen suffer from insomnia, their nights spent staring at the ceiling, wondering if they even deserve happiness. For Gwen, I can see her being the main responsible of her family. Also, she has the desire to disengage from her past, especially anything related to Total Drama. She dreams of starting over, cleaning her image, and becoming unrecognizable.

Neither is willing to be the first to apologize. Gwen, when angry, retreats into silence, becoming emotionally unavailable. Duncan, fueled by pride, matches her silence, turning it into hurting feelings and unresolved tension.

At some point, Duncan's recklessness becomes a liability for their relationship. His impulsive actions lead to hospital calls or sight of cop cars parked outside their home. Gwen lives on edge whenever Duncan is out, bracing for the next crisis she’ll have to clean up.

As for parenthood, Duncan struggles with the very idea of being present. The thought of being responsible for another human terrifies him. What his lifestyle might have bolstered his ego now leaves him ashamed. His avoidance creates resentment, especially in his oldest child, who grows angry at Duncan’s cowardice and tendency to run from responsibilities.

Gwen battles depressive episodes, something Duncan doesn’t know how to handle. Even before All Stars, she showed signs of depression, but he never truly understood it. Her withdrawal and lack of affection frustrated him, but rather than address it, he carried on as if nothing was wrong. 

While Gwen takes medication for her chronic depression and anxiety, Duncan avoids treatment for his own mental health struggles, including his likely ASPD. His disdain for authority and being told what to do keeps him from seeking help.

If left unchecked for too long, I can see Duncan’s mental health could spiral into destructive behavior. Property destruction fueled by his pyromania, substance abuse, and constant run-ins with the law turn him into a fugitive. His lifestyle grows increasingly dangerous, both for himself and anyone around him.

Duncan’s eventual arrest in All Stars becomes a breaking point. Or it makes him more reckless or causes him to regress into his younger self. 

His mother is the only family member to support him, visiting him in jail. At his insistence, she asks Gwen to visit. Reluctantly, Gwen agrees, not out of concern for Duncan, but out of respect for his mother. Seeing him in jail, unbothered by his record and lack of remorse, infuriates her. It solidifies her belief that she cannot save him from himself.

Oops, sorry if these hurt...but again, these are my headcanons. They actually live very happy, picking up strawberries in a cottage far far away 😭
