For my first go through Alola I played Sun. The team consisted of Primarina, Lycanroc (midday), Salazzle, Mudsdale, Alolan Raichu, and I think Alolan Ninetales. I'm now playing through Moon and I'm trying not to use the same Pokemon I had on my Sun team. I am reusing Primarina (currently a Brionne) and Mudsdale (currently a Mudbray) just because they're some of my favorites from the region. I've also got a Pom Pom style Oricorio and Cutiefly on my team right now. I'd love to stick with Alolan mons, but any suggestions on who I should try?

Maybe an odd question but I was replaying Pokemon Moon and thought of you and wanted to ask about Sweets your Oricorio~☆ Has she ever tried any of the other forms (via nectar) or has she only ever been Pom-pom style? Oh that's a fun question :D Sweets has BARELY ever changed her form before. She started out as a PomPom Oricorio and she has stayed that way throughout El's journey after El captured her. It feels strange to El to change Sweets' form. She has tried it once out of curiosity after optaining the nectars, but quickly changed her back, since she loves her little bird the most in her original form. Sweets doesn't seem to mind to switch forms, it's in an Oricorios nature to change, but she also doesn't show a desire to change form and seems content the way she is. But outside of her PomPom style, she's definitely the most comfortable in Sensu Style. Pa'u makes her uncomfortable, given how used she is to having strong feathered wings.

El has been participating in a lot of Pokemon Contests in the past, back when she spent a year in Hoenn, so should she ever perform with Sweets I think she's most likely either going for OG PomPoms or switch to Sensu Style depending on the performance.

star trek pokemon au bc i wanted to draw khan with a scolipede and it was all downhill from there (hcs under the cut)

Kirk

kirk, spock, and bones all went on their first journey together back in the day, he and bones are still close but neither has heard from spock in a while

kirk is the region's champion, he fought hard to be there but misses the thrill of adventure

flying type trainer (in honor of the enterprise)

i gave him togetic bc its kind of built like a spaceship, honchcrow bc he had way too much fun playing a mobster in "a piece of the action" and charizard because kirk honestly does have the vibe of someone who thinks charizard is the coolest pokemon of all time

i was too lazy to draw a full team of 6 but he also has a braviary, altaria, and kilowattrel

Spock

former pokemon professor who got WAY too deep into his research, has a reputation for being batshit insane that is only somewhat deserved

espeon is his earliest companion and was his only friend before going on his journey with kirk and bones

spock studies pokemon with extraterrestrial origins and psychic abilities and intense bonds/experiments with these pokemon led to him developing psychic abilities himself

strives to be emotionless because it allows him to be better in tune with the emotions of his pokemon

when he became convinced [insert crazy-sounding but actually very logical theory here] and the rest of the scientific community refused to get on board with it, he fucked off to some remote outpost to continue the research on his own and cut contact with the outside world

Bones

i couldn't resist the temptation to draw him in a nurse joy outfit so i guess he's a nurse, he runs the pokemon center closest to wherever the elite four/champion is located

he was a little older than kirk and spock when he joined them on the journey back in the day

spent the bulk of the journey arguing with spock (who was constantly giving him unsolicited advice on how to boost his stats) and scolding jim for getting into stupid/unnecessary battles

has zero interest in battling and only has pokemon around that either help with his work (blissey and audino) or solely for companionship (probably has a lillipup and furfrou at home)

even so, he's still willing to drop everything to help when kirk recruits him to come on another journey with him to find spock so they can all defeat khan (yes, bones is still wearing the nurse outfit)

Khan

he's the boss of team genesis, which plots to destroy all forms of "lesser life" and restart the evolutionary process with only the strongest specimens (woooo canon accurate eugenics motivation)

wants to destroy kirk at all costs to become the champion, don't ask me how or why this helps with the eugenics thing, we're going full pokemon villain logic here

has a scolipede bc the earbugs he has in wrath of khan reminded me of little venipedes

Misc

scotty is still an engineer, works with a lot of steel types, his favorite companion is a magnezone

uhura dominates the competition circuit, has a lot of music-themed/singing pokemon, her best performer is a pom-pom style oricorio

sulu is a gym leader with grass/fighting type pokemon, his main is a sirfetch'd

chekov is a researcher who used to work under spock but now has his own lab and specializes in ice type pokemon, he has a cubchoo because, like him, it is baby

t'pring (was engaged to spock but broke it off bc he was too busy researching/having homoerotic battles with kirk and was never around) has a gardevoir so they can serve cunt together

Alright guys the fable smp pokemon au brainrot is back and full swing because ocie was posting about it so here's a couple of thoughts based on that (warning this post is a bit long 😅)

Ok ok, so it terms of what pokemon people would have and how they got them, here's the thoughts

I think icarus' partner pokemon would be an archeops they got from their dad. Something about the overworld foundation doing some kind of research with ancient pokemon and fable giving his kid one seems right. They'd also probably have a pom-pom style oricorio and a decidueye (something about a ghost type archer pokemon that bird shaped feels right). They'd absolutely have almost exclusively flying types. Charles is just a really high level torchic they got from and trade and cant use.

Rae would probably have an Espeon. It's just feels right for him between it being a psychic type and evolving through high friendship. Going with the idea of him studying psychic and dark types, an inkay could be good for that, but idk if it fits his vibe. I also think that a pa'u style oricorio could be fun because he could totally study its dancing and how that connect with its "psychic energy". Also it could be matching with icarus which is fun. While it's not dark or psychic, a lucario or riolu could also be fun because they literally sense auras. Like. It's their whole thing. A lucario evolves with high friendship, but it also might be a bit to strong for rae to own. Maybe a riolu that evoles later on.

Athena just gets all the fire types. And maybe some fairy and dark types. Their partner pokemon is absolutely a torracat. They deserve all the fire types. Athena could also have a baile style oricorio so all of prince trio can have matching bird guys (maybe I just like oricorio alot. But it's a fire type and it fits and its fun). Just give this guy fire pokemon. And also maybe an alcremie because baking.

On that same note, give Jamie a dachsbun. And some bear shaped pokemon.

Arisanna gets fairy pokemon, specifically I think her partner pokemon is a togekiss because I think the allays being togepi is really fun. Im not entirely sure about what other pokemon she would have tho. Maybe an azumaril because blue. I dont know how vexing would translate over to pokemon au, but vexed ari would absolutely have a tinkaton.

I think magearna comes into play somehow here, maybe Caspian would have it and fix it up. Idk I think magearna is a fun pokemon and could be a fun stand in for Raza. Similar thing with type null.

I think the first pokemon that ven would end of catching is an alolan vulpix. You cant tell me I'm wrong. Its literally a little white fox guy. It's probably the only pokemon he'll have for a while and probably won't evolve. Maybe he gets a ghost type pokemon later.

I'm starting to realize how much alolan pokemon I've given these guys. But to be fair, alola has fun pokemon and I watched the anime for it a lot after they took xy and xyz off Netflix.

I think the world sisters would probably just be besties with some legendaries/mythical. They probably wouldn't catch them, but momboo just hangs out with shaymin sometimes and ocie is homies with phione and manaphy. Or if we wanna stick with the alolan theme, tapu bulu and tapu fini.

I absolutely have way more thoughts, but this is what I'll say for now since I dont want this to be too long 😅. I want to hear more people thoughts on fable smp pokemon au's tho
