Quirk-Nova Learns to Draw: Basic Anatomy

Today, I tried to learn how to draw the base of typical bodies from the front, side and from a 3/4 view.

So… you WONT exactly stop making moodboards? You will do a few among the drawings?

Yes, but the moodboards will be made for myself and any other current special interest I’m fixated on at the moment. I have moved on from moodboard requests. I haven’t drawn recently due to a busy work week as well as handling a mild cold that I have, for the most part, recovered from.

Quirk-Nova Learns to Draw: Faces

Like the title says, I tried to learning how to draw faces today, making it the first day of my art learning journey.

To be honest, I struggled a little bit with drawing faces in a 3/4 quarter view and back view

I tried to learn this through the following tutorials I found on both YouTube and Pinterest:

Question, what do you use to make your moodboards? I’ve been interested in making them but don’t know where to start. Thank you :D

I find most of my images on Pinterest, and then I use Picsart to make the board. There are other image editing apps, so you don’t have to use Picsart, but it’s the one I’ve gotten used to the most.

New Year, New Nova

This announcement is in regard to the future of this blog.

As you may know already (or not), I decided to take a break from making moodboards. There is a pretty good reason for this now because I now want to move on from moodboards and start a new goal of mine that I'm really excited about. I have mentioned in the past that I hoped that I would take the time to learn how to draw so I can creatively express myself through unique character designs. My new goal for this new year is to do just that, and that will start sometime next week. I'll start by learning how to draw the basics of drawing figures, and I'll try to post updates of my learning progress whenever I can. Since I will have to focus more on my new exciting goal, this means that I will no longer make requested moodboards. I will, however, still make moodboards occasionally, but they will be for myself (like, for example, new Cookie Run characters or any of my current special interests).

This is all I want to talk about for now. I will be looking forward to mastering something new, and I like to hear your thoughts on the matter. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me for my moodboards, but I think I am finally able to move on to a new form of content.

When will your break end?

I’m still not sure, but it won’t be too much longer. As a matter of fact, I actually have something big planned that I hope to start for the new year, which means that this blog will likely go through big changes to fit my new goal that I will announce soon. You will have to wait and see!

I just want to let you know that starting the day after Christmas, I’ll be taking a break from requested moodboards, so my requests will be closed. I haven’t quite figured out how long the break will be, but I will make a post about the break’s end when that time comes.
