watched a playthrough of MOUTHWASHING. very cool art style, very good story, very good horror. my biggest problem story is how little focus anya gets compared to daisuke and swansea. spoilers below, obviously

swansea gets his speech about how his alcoholic days were the best of his life, and daisuke has his drunk confession about how he feels inadequate because he got the internship through his parents. anya doesn't really have a moment where she expresses her "motivation" or why she ended up on the tulpar. you could argue that this because the story is mostly told from jimmy's perspective and he's entirely dismissive of her, but there's not really a moment where the narrative "calls out" her lack of focus. the baby/ultrasound scene is almost there, but she has no presence in it (unlike daisuke, who has his little memorial shrine in the graveyard scene).

i wonder if her "character moment" was meant to be expressed to curly, but was cut from the game because it was hard to fit in. which would be understandable from a writing perspective, but disappointing and ironic from a thematic one. the only female character in the game who is constantly demeaned, dismissed, and even raped by one of the main characters has very little development beyond that relationship to him, which seems to make jimmy's treatment of her fall a bit flat.

Anon I know exactly how you feel about your body hair interfering with your life and creating such a negative impact for you. I struggled a lot growing up being light skinned with dark thick hair, I felt so different because all the other white girls didn’t have a uni-brow, leg hair or pubic hair as early as me or as dark as me. I remember being 11 years old refusing to change for gym and wearing leggings/pants in 90 degree weather. I didn’t wear shorts for years.

Eventually I did start shaving regularly but you could still see a dark follicles like a 5 o clock shadow on a man’s beard. The ingrown hairs would be so painful it hurt to wear clothes over the affected areas. My armpits and bikinis line would sometimes get so red and inflamed it hurt to sit or lay a certain way. I still always shaved or waxed.. even sat and plucked each hair individually when I could though because I had boys and then as I got older men make comments towards me.

I know laser hair removal is really expensive and I was really fortunate enough my mom paid for it for me, it was my birthday and Christmas present combined for a few years. I recommend it to almost anyone who asks, it for me personally changed my life. I want to go back to get more sessions done because to me it was a true investment into my quality of life. I still have hair grow in some of those areas now because hairs life cycle has different stages and it’s been well over 5 years but even the hair that does grow back is baby soft and so easy to remove! I decided to keep the triangle shape of my pubs on top intact because it’s too much of a hassle to remove all of it imo.

Again I alternate between shaving, using nair, waxing or just tweezing. Because I have so much hair and it’s annoying when the razor gets clogged with hair sometimes I do my legs and bikinis line with nair and then go back in and do more precise line work with the razor. As you’ve seen my pubic hairs groomed into a triangle.. sometimes not so tidy and sometimes it’s neat lol I get lazy sometimes because it’s so time consuming.

PLEASE keep in mind i have oily skin that’s very acne prone with large pores/follicles! I also have rosacea flare ups so I use very mild scented/unscented. If you have dry skin i would not recommend most of these products.

As for products I use these below! :) the Laroche Posay face wash and toner and Paula’s choice toner I use on my face and also on ingrown hair/acne prone areas on my body before applying lotion. Hope this helps!
