That moment when you call your parents out on something and they deny it and ask for specific times and examples that no reasonable person would have stored as it’s an issue that built up over time but it’s one of those few situations where you actually do have examples and they still deny it after you tell them

On and unrelated note when you call your brother out on his attitude and aggressive behavior and he denies it in the same way as your parents and your sick of being the only one in the family to apologize when you do something wrong but never actually get apologies from them and having no outlet for it because you can’t get out a single word without tearing up or getting angry yourself because of the pent up rage and annoyance you feel and even if you could they just don’t take you seriously or just get mad at you.

finally rewatching the ep and some things are starting to make sense (still don't like some of it, but there's nothing i can do about it). if Armand had planned to kill both Claudia and Louis in order to stay with his coven and keep the stability and power, then why stay with Louis after the events in Paris, and when the 70s have presented an opportunity to leave? well:

yes, this is a very Armand thing to say and do. Armand is nothing but a black hole, no identity, no feeling of self, complete detachment, need to dissolve self in the presence of others, to distract, to forget. no pain. Armand needs to constantly attach himself to someone in order to know what role to play (and to have one, otherwise there's nothing but a confusing half-remembered pain), to serve, to be served, the familiarity of the habit/ritual (even if it's from his abusive past. it's the only thing he knows, the only comfort he got). they made it extra crispy, in the show. + the vampire loneliness.

Lestat still owning Louis. Armand, with no coven, no theater, attaching himself immediately. Was there a choice, Louis? Did you really have any power at that moment? “Maître, but only when it's convenient.” Lestat not telling Louis because he'd figure it out. “and we are once again teachers of one another.” Teacher student, husband wife, father daughter, dom sub, maker fledgling, ...

but why release Louis from his “banishment” if Armand was planning to kill him anyway? I believe that Armand did have feelings for Louis (even if those have withered with time), one thing is a relatively fast sacrifice for personal gain/out of fear, the other is to hear Louis scream his lungs out as he starved and grieved Claudia's murder. Armand didn't plan Louis' torture, he couldn't take it.

Louis doesn't leave, why let him do his revenge? same situation. no marius, coven. no coven, lestat? no lestat, new coven. louis, no coven. no louis, coven. no coven, louis. no louis, daniel. no daniel etc it's this or death, just like when he got kidnapped. “He remained with me because he had to do it. Read Right to Left (Manga Format)

I have returned to watching demon slayer after a year and it came up while I was having a serious late night talk with my big sister. I was talking about the relationship between Michikatsu/Kokushibo and Yoriichi and it turns out we both see each other in Yoriichi's shoes and ourselves in Michikatsu's place. Definitely surprising, but really relieving to know that we both worry too much and we are not so far apart in skill as we believe.

This is technically the first piece of fanart I've ever made for the characters in Demon Slayer, I have made OCs before but I never drew an actual character from the story. For context this is mostly just a fun "what if" scenario with them meeting in the afterlife. I like to think Yoriichi's love would reawaken Michikatsu's humanity.

There is no love in your relationship. At least not from Kaiser's side. He likes you, as he may like someone else, but you make him feel good, and most importantly Michael firmly believes your actions, your words aren't born from the heart, but from a deep desire to use him, to wrap him around your fingers.

The blonde never reveals his feelings to you. He keeps a smile on his face even when your honeyed words make him gag. They are mellifluous, and Kaiser can hear the lies dripping. He is always on the alert, waiting for you to drop the mask and show your true face. Michael tells himself he is ready for your betrayal and it's not like he is getting used to you, not moving a inch when you ask for something he doesn't want to do, provoking and teasing you, fueling the fire to see your real self.

The problem comes when he notices that there isn't malice in you, or at least there is no malice towards him from you. Michael isn't used to that, unloved since the day he was born, disliked by many, a disgusting guy that finds pleasure just in other people downfall. That's why when he starts to feel his heart beating dangerously fast when you smile at him, or when he feels the need to put a cover on you when you fall asleep on the couch, even tucking it in so you won't get cold, he starts to worry.

It's not the same affection he sports for Ness, more similar to the one a kid has for his new favourite toy, or as Alexis' parents would say, "an experiment well made". It's totalising, making him feel like dirt under nails, something that scratched old memories that still wound his mind. He searches for an explanation of his emotions in his psychology books and everything points at love. But the outcome isn't the same because Michael broke the first rule of a loving relationship; truth. So now worry and anxiety pervade Michael's body because now that he desperately cares about you, he understands that you'll never love his real self, would never love the corrupt person he is.

A laugh with no real joy leaves Michael's throat, hands scratching his eyes, blonde long lashes already sticking together thanks to the newborns tears. Fingers digging into the skin of his cheeks. Imagines of you smiling, of the handmade gift you gave him for his b-day, of your eyes filled with joy, of you angry but still loving him flash in front of his eyes.

But nobody loves dirt under the nails. Seems like he was born to be unlovable after all.

We all know Siffrin's suppressed to hell and back but I also keep thinking about how the main cast as a whole struggle with communication and want to work on it. Siffrin and Isabeau are important to each other but they never really talk about serious things and Isabeau implies that he believes Siffrin is ashamed about him. Odile keeps to herself and says at the end of act 5 that she was considering asking the others if they wanted to keep travelling and didn't know everyone felt the same way. Bonnie grew distant from Siffrin because they felt guilty over him losing his eye to save them and Siffrin started believing Bonnie just hated them. Mirabelle doesn't want to express her anxieties about her role and the expectations put on her and she and Siffrin agree to be more open about their feelings because they both worry about burdening others at the expense of their own well-being.
