Do y'all ever have a book series that you know you've read, sometimes even more than once, but it's like the memory is broken and just Will Not Stay? This brought to you by two different series I read while sick and then simply cannot retain memories of the plots of: the Percy Jackson series (actually I think I read that one with a concussion) and the True Blood books (my very last day working at the library before I got too sick to work* the head of the volunteers handed me a box of books to read while I was sick, which included the entirety (at the time) of the True Blood series. I read the whole series and watched the whole series of House while sick and retained absolutely nothing of either lol) *turned out I had mono and was basically couch-bound for a solid month, month and a half

I just woke up so I'm not completely with it but this cover art took me out for a solid minute. I thought he had horrifying warped horse legs for arms (being held behind his back to hide his frightening nature from whoever's hands are draped over his shoulders), and that this book was a romantic horror-comedy involving the titular Wallbanger, a sinister horse entity that uses his thundering hooves to bang on walls and also fucks

I had to delete a whole paragraph cuz in the midst of my delusions I thought you were asking what kind of car she would be (my answer was Aston Martin DB5 - dont judge I really love that car since I was a kid okay and I think she'll look cool as hell as one - and Porsche 914/6 shade 1110)

The simplest answers are black, silver and dark blue

I love really shiny coatings BUT personally I think for Raven her coating might lean more towards matte finish (look up satin black cellulose paint)

There are wayyyyy too many silver shade out there but lemme tell ya nothing beats a good ol bright silver metallic paint, I don't think the ones that are leaning towards pearl shades would suit her (slightly yellowish - look up Malaysia's Civic and BR-V in Platinum White Pearl Colour)

This one is oddly specific (and can you imagine I know this brand bcuz years ago Jeffrey Star's car paint job used one of these brands) but like cyborg blue or blue demon looks so hot (yay sparkles!!)

If we wanna talk about sparkles and fancy schmancy (but less durability) stuff it'd be vinyl wrap....like the gradients one ooooooo I think Raven would look so good with purple to blue matte kind OR OR the black to blue on the hood...

interesting fact - just like c3, c2 ending was considered a disaster to fans before its finale because many thought arcs were unfinished. in fact one of the main critiques you can find under matts tweet announcing c2 was closing off is tons upon tons of angry responses asking how they could wrap up every characters arc. the finale ended with the ca & uk'otoa not being killed. however, in hindsight, it was very obvious c2 was more about characters finding the emotional strength with each other to face their problems more than finishing them off. and even then, there were multiple one shots (and will be more) about them facing these threats not faced in the series. when i see the c3 discourse about character arcs not being finished, while i do at points agree, i just see this again; it is not remotely unique to the bells. it is another point in how i genuinely do not know if i can judge c3 til we actually have the bells full picture, and it is very obvious that for better or worse, the campaigns have never worked as a full picture alone. i think the pacing that ends up with characters stories being an open road is a feature and not a bug and that will appeal to some and not appeal to others.

Do you think there are any ways ID software could fix or improve doom’s story in a sequel to doom eternal or is the only fix a full reboot?

Tbh i don't think there really needs to be a sequel doom game. For as messy as modern doom's writing is, I actually like the general premise of how it ends. Doomguy has already sacrificed so much to stop hell, he has already dedicated everything he is to this sole goal. It's thematically fitting that he would have to kill himself in the final blow. And that's clearly MEANT to be The End. Hell has been well and truly stopped, and doomguy is dead. No more loose ends. It's over. No more doom. The End.

That said, because of how modern doom is, ther ARE loose ends, and in fact, there's one very, very BIG loose end that leaves a lot of space for a potential sequel. The whole premise of TAG was that killing Davoth would destroy anything outside his realm that he made, ie any demons outside hell get vaporized. But then, the reason Doomguy dies at the end is because Dav, in theory, made everything, including Doomguy, so Doomguy goes down too. But then, since Dav made everything, Earth and humanity should also be destroyed, which is, y'know, kind of exactly what Doomguy was supposed to be stopping. So either there's some sort of loophole, or else humanity is still in imminent danger, and either way, there is potential for another story.

BUT.

The reason we're here to begin with is because of poor writing that prioritizes "wouldn't it be cool" and "what can we use to make an attractive trailer" over consistent, coherent, and in depth story. And since the current writer is the same writer who got us here... well, to be honest, I wouldn't put a whole lot of faith in a sequel OR a reboot.

(Not to mention that said current writer is the one who wrote the current big, final The End of TAG2, which implies he didn't intend for there to be a sequel. So any sequel written right now would be either him going "well, ACTUALLY-" yet again, or else the publisher pressuring id to make another doom game for money, and, well, y'know, neither of those things have a great history of working out well for good game development.)

So while I don't personally think any sort of sequel to Eternal/TAG is really necessary, they probably could make a pretty decent one... if they had a better writer. But they don't, so I'm not gonna hold my breath waiting.

Indigenous Hawaiians really had a good system going: wake up reaaally early and do most of the days work while it's cool and by the time the sun was up and it got hot the work was done and you're free to surf and socialize.
