The infamous, long awaited, not once, but twice deleted… simon riley x single mom reader fic is finally here:
Simon riley can’t cook for the life of him. Every time he’s back home from deployment, he’ll just survive on instant noodles and canned beer for maybe a week and then he goes back to base and gladly munches on the prepackaged food they throw at him.
Truth is, it has always been like this, and he’s never seen anything wrong with it.
Until price told him that the next op will be in 3 months and this grown ass man shivered just thinking about eating shitty frozen food for 90 days straight.
He begged price, said he’d stay and clean up the base for free, anything! He’d do anything to stay! And price told him to ‘piss off for 12 weeks before he went insane’
Cut to simon, standing in the frozen goods isle, letting out a groan as he rubbed the bridge of his crooked nose. And he angrily stomped towards the frozen bags on the shelves and dropped everything in sight into his cart, trying so hard not to puke at the mere thought of eating all of that junk. The thing is, he was so mad at that moment that if some poor soul approached him asking where the milk was, they’d get a box of frozen turkey legs shoved down their throat.
And you know, someone did approach him. And no, they got to live.
It was a tiny toddler, maybe around 5 or 6, wearing a purple tutu skirt, and she was holding a dino plushie to her chest, looking straight up at simon.
Picture this, a grown 6’2 man, muscular with tats and everything, looking down at a 5 year old girl with messy hair and yellow rain boots. They both looked so serious, none of them broke the eye contact, staring at each other with puzzled expressions.
Simon was about to continue shopping when he saw a woman running towards them, she dropped down to the ground, distressed and scared, tightly hugging the toddler. She whispered to the kid ‘why did you leave me, never do that to me ever again, mom was so scared’
And you know, he could’ve just walked away at that point. Of course, It was a heartwarming scene to behold, a mother finding their lost child, but god, simon couldn’t stop staring at the woman kneeling on the dirty in front of him, the way her eyes were glossy with tears, her cheeks slightly red from the tear stains and she was beautiful. Beautiful.
It had been years, if not decades, since the last that simon thought a human being was beautiful. He wasn’t used to the butterflies that were flying in his stomach, and he wasn’t sure how to react. So he sat down, next to her.
“Hey… t’s okay, don’t worry luv, you found her, alright?”
“I- she was holding my hand one second… and the next i couldn’t find her! I got so… scared, and she wasn’t anywhere, and i thought- i thought”
Simon wasn’t one for holding hands.
But he held her hand. He put his calloused pale hand over hers, and he couldn’t help but to let out a shaky sigh at the feeling. He was dizzy, like he had been drinking bottles of cheap booze, but he didn’t feel sick like the way the cheap booze made him feel, he felt warm.
And with that, the woman looked up at him,
“Thank you? For, for-“
“I didn’ find her luv, you did, but y’welcome anyway”
He laughed out, trying to act like there weren’t fireworks exploding in his head just by looking at her eyes.
But she chuckled, she chuckled at him!
“Sorry i couldn’t help but notice… is that like 20-ish pizzas you’ve got?”
And she pointed at his cart, which had a huge pile of frozen pizzas stacked on top of each other. She giggled.
He cursed under his breath,
“Yea, i- long story, i… can’t cook?”
“Can’t cook? Cook food?”
He put his hand on his neck, rubbing the aching muscle, as he let out another sigh shaking his head.
“That… can’t be good for you, blood pressure is the silent killer after all”
“I know, i know, i-“
“I could… teach you how to cook?”

prisoner!simon "ghost" riley
the series master-list
cw: (former) prisoner!simon, civilian!reader, smut & fluff, dom!reader, sub!simon, gentle sex, size kink, pregnant!reader, wife kink
bunny says: like the fic? leave a comment! really like the fic? suggest your own!
you rubbed your back as you cooked up some breakfast. you then yawned into you fist. it was hard giving up coffee for the sake of your unborn baby, but simon promised that when your son was born, he'd buy you the fanciest coffee at the supermarket.
it had been over a year since simon got out of prison, and now you two were expecting your first child. right now he was the size of an avocado and simon couldn't help but put his hands on the small bump.
"mornin', love." he said as he came up behind you and his hands on the bump. his hair was a mess and his large tattoos hands were on your hips, "bacon for me?"
"it's turkey bacon. less fat." you reminded him.
he grumbled, "not as good." then leaned in to kiss you on the cheek, "how did you sleep." his hands linked under your bump as he held it gently.
you flipped the bacon and focused your attention on the eggs in another pan. you felt a shift of your child in your womb, "it was alright. i think i'm getting used to your snoring."
he kissed you again and grumbled, "i'm sorry."
you chuckled, "I don't mind. either you've gotten quieter or i'm just used to it." you tilted your head up and kissed him on the lips briefly, "if you can get the toast ready that would be great."
"anythin' for ya." he said as he pulled away and went to make some toast for the both of you. it was domestic, it was quiet. a woman and her much larger, tattooed ex-convict of a boyfriend.
-
simon called you his wife often, despite never actually being married. you didn't mind it. you shared a home were building a family, but you often wondered if you would ever get married. you were never keen on a huge celebration, but something would be nice. regardless you were his missus.
regardless of your pregnant size, he handled you with ease. there were times where he'd simply guide your hips as you rode him. he was he one in control. you held onto him and moaned as you felt his cock press up into you.
"beautiful wife." he smirked as he kissed your face.
you wondered if it was possible for to control the pace. to have your boyfriend give up control and let you work his body? while your bdsm together was short lived, he stopped any rough play when you announced you were pregnant, you wondered if the roles could be reversed? the tiny girlfriend in control of her beefy, scary boyfriend.
it was a rather arousing thought. to watch simon squirm while you made sure he was taken care of. it didn't have to be vicious or rough, which would make simon happy (for your sake), but tender and slow. you rubbed your thighs together while seated at your work desk, you had to focus on work! not on your boyfriend's cock inside of you.
you leaned back in your desk chair and rubbed your swollen middle as you gazed at the spreadsheet you had been working on. simon gave you the gift of your first born child, you believed it was time to repay him for it.
-
"simon." you said as you were curled up with him on the couch. simon's head was in your lap and his legs were hanging off the couch. you were running your fingers through his short blond hair.
"yeah, love." he said.
"i want to ask you about something."
he lifted his head and looked at you, he looked at your curiously. for a brief moment he was worried that he had done something wrong. but a closer study of your face revealed that you weren't upset with him, which settled him down. he simply said with a kiss on your bump, "ask away."
"i was wondering, if maybe... i can take charge when we have sex? just for tonight. i know you like being in charge, but i thought it could spice things up with anything too intense."
he said gruffly, "i don't want ya puttin' strain on yourself." as his broad hand rubbed your middle, "worried you'll get tired out."
you reached down and cupped his face, "well, then if i get tired then you can take over... it wouldn't hurt to try." you smiled, "i think it'll be fun."
simon learned very early on that he could never say no to his girl. he simply pressed his cheek back on your bump and rubbed it. he said, "alright, but don't push yourself too hard."
he lingered closely during dinner, his hands on your hips as he watched you make dinner. he was in charge of chopping vegetables, but when he wasn't, his hands were on you. he wanted to be close to his wife.
even though very few thought of him as a gentleman, the way he sat you down on the couch after dinner so he could wash the dishes of your dinner left you feeling pink.
when he came back to you however, he held out his hand. you took it and he helped you up off the couch. he stared down at you for a moment and you reached out for him. you framed his face in your hands and leaned up to kiss him.
"i'm fine."
once in the bedroom, he marveled at your body as you started to undress. he shirt was already off as he sat at the edge of the bed, ready to help you if you needed it. but you shooed his hands away. he admired the slope of your pregnant belly and the heaviness of your breasts. you had a figure his admired, a lil pregnancy fat to keep you and the babe warm.
"you're staring."
"can't i?" he asked, "i made you this way. my girl carryin' my kid. i think you look hotter now than before." he smiled.
you gave him a look as you got your underwear off, you stood there in front of him, naked with your hands at your hips. you said, "so you're into milfs?"
he shrugged, "only when i'm the ones who 'em a mama." he reached out for you and you went into his arms. he pressed his face against your bump and sighed, his cock twitched in his pants.
you petted his soft hair and felt him place kisses against your swollen middle. he had taken to being a father the way a fish takes to swimming. after a little worship to your belly, you nudged him at his shoulders.
"lie down."
he looked up at you and laid down. he watched you work as you got his pants and underwear off. his cock stood at full attention and you could already feel the heft of it inside of you. it made your stomach flutter.
there laid your convict boyfriend, the man who was in prison for some time. he was laid out on the bed you shared while you tried to straddle his waist. he made you his girl, and you made him a better man.
"gonna be comfy like that?"
"this is about you, simon." you tapped his nose, "the goal is to make you cum." then trailed your finger down his neck and across his chest that was littered with tattoos.
he held onto your hand and placed it on his cheek, "i know... but i still want you to have a good time, love." he kissed your wrist before he placed both hands on your hips.
"hey!" you smacked his hand away, "my job."
"sorry." he said softly. he was a hardened man, he often scared people. but with you, he was so supportive and loving. he adored you the way plants adored the sun.
he watched you with careful eyes, they felt heated on your warm flesh as you tried to move yourself (with the bump not helping). it took everything in him not to do it himself. but he had to trust you.
you slowly sank on his cock and pressed your chin to your chest as you exhaled deeply. you noticed that simon was holding onto the covers tighter. you said softly, "trust me."
"yes, love." he said softly, he tensed up when you started to roll your hips. you hand one hand on his chest for leverage and the other on your swollen middle as you moved your hips against him.,
"holy shit, love." he groaned.
"see, a wife knows how to please her husband." you replied before you smacked his hands away from you, "no. stay still." there was a bit of a command to your tone.
he liked it.
he continued to hold the sheets as you moved up and down on his length. his breathing got heavy as you started to really put work into riding his cock. he watched your breasts and belly bounce like a hypnotized man.
he made you this way. he never thought when he was in prison that he'd have a woman in his life that was carrying his child. he watched to reach out and worship your bump. but for the time being he'd just have to play the thoughts over in his head.
part of him wondered if he was still a bad man. maybe there should've been more time between when you met in person and your pregnancy. but you were happy. happy with him, of your situation.
he tried to move but you kept him pinned by the shoulders. you were without words as you rode him, all you could do was shake your head. he groaned and leaned back into the bed.
"please, love. let me touch you. i want to touch my wife." he was almost begging.
you pushed hair out of your hair and looked down at him. your hands were on his shoulders to give yourself more leverage. you moaned, "okay... but be good."
quickly his hands were on your hips and he rubbed your love handles. you felt so good under his touch, it made his brain buzz. what the hell did he do to deserve an angel such as yourself.
"like it, simon?"
he nodded, "you're doing great. my girl." his voice was practically a purr.
you continued to ride him. you felt hot all over but you held onto him. you tried to be sexy about your thrusts. but the burn in your soul to get to climax forced you to bounce on his cock.
simon's eyes were transfixed on your body as it moved. his cock ached, as did his balls. he bred you so good, he didn't know what he did in a previous life to deserve this.
warmth pumped through your bodies as you fucked. it felt so good, and the angle made your core ache. it wasn't long before you felt the curl of orgasm in your gut.
you placed his hands and yours on your bump as you moved on his cock. your moans filled the air of your bedroom. your mind became hazy and your thrusts were disorganized. you came first by holding his hands, your cunt clenched around his cock. and as you continued to ride him until he finished as well.
"shit."
"simon."
he laid sprawled out next to you for a moment to catch his breath. by the time he calmed down, he pulled you into his arms and kissed your face. he could feel your bare belly bump up against his abdomen. he felt relaxed against you.
he said quietly, as he assumed that you were dozing off in the after glow of pleasure, "you'll get your ring soon. just gotta find the right time to pop the question." his voice was a low rumble.
but you were still awake and safe in his arms. when he mentioned a ring your heart skipped a beat. you stayed still for a moment and let him bask in your love. soon you'd be his wife, for real.
the question was, where was the ring? <3

Unexpected | m.r x reader
prompt: Hii! How are you? This is my first time sending an ask and I just wanted to say that I love your writings! May I ask for a enemies to lovers with Mattheo Riddle? The reader is from the golden trio and they get into an argument with a lot of chemistry and tension. Thank you and I'm sorry for my bad english.
maybe enemies to lovers, like they hate each other and then realize that they are soulmates and then have to figure out what to do. some angst but ends i fluff please
word count: ~3.8k
warnings: slight angst feeling, fluff, e2l, soulmate trope, some heavy petting
an: so there's no argument like the prompt asks (sorry) but when I started writing it just kind of flowed out this way so hopefully it's still okay.
“Go on, show us again,” Ron Weasley was shaking a turkey leg in your general direction, asking to see the words that appeared on your arm this morning. In the wizarding world, on the day you were going to properly meet your soulmate, the first sentence they speak to you, excluding their name, will appear on your forearm in their handwriting.
It was incredibly annoying to you that Ron and Hermione got this mess out of the way the first day on the bloody train. To your and Harry’s amusement, neither were originally excited about the match, but after the chaos that ensued for the four of you by the end of that year they were inseparable. Nothing brings two people closer than tragedy.
Things got even more frustrating for you when Harry and Ginny realized they were soulmates, leaving you the lone wolf in your foursome. Entering your sixth year this year you were hopeful that maybe you would finally be able to find out who your soulmate was, roughly three fourths of those leave Hogwarts knowing who they’re intended to be with, and you would rather Avada Kadavera yourself then leave your seventh year soulmateless.
You grabbed the sleeve of your jumper, tugging it up to your elbow, sticking your arm out in the middle of the table for your three friends to view. There on your arm read a singular sentence, do I intimidate you, love?
Hermione sat back on the bench, “His handwriting really is awful, whoever he is.” You scoffed at your friend, “Not exactly my biggest concern, Mione. More worried about why he thinks he would intimidate me? Who would even think that? By this point in our school life you’d think any of us were more intimidating than the majority of the student body.”
“Yeah, except Slytherin,” Harry snorted, Ron following with his own round of laughter. But you weren’t laughing, you were looking at Hermione who was sporting the same grimace and worried eyes that you were sure your face looked like.
Harry and Ron looked at each other, then looked at the two of you. “It was a joke, y/n/n,” Harry tried to ease the tension that was building. “Yeah, I mean, y’don't really think your soulmate might be…one of them,” Ron was anything but subtle with his tone of disgust, as well as his entire body turning around to face the Slytherin table.
Ron’s actions didn’t go unnoticed by a particular group of Slytherin boys. “Staring problem, Weasley? Got a crush?” Malfoy shouted across the dining hall, earning laughs and teasing hollars from his friends.
“Oi, Malfoy, got a present for you,” you stuck your hand in your school bag, pretending to roam around before pulling your hand back out and lifting it high in the air, giving Malfoy the middle finger. His face immediately turned into a scowl. The boy next to him, however, pretended to catch your gesture in the air and put it in his pocket, winking at you in the process.
You rolled your eyes, turning to Hermione who had a look of disgust on her face, “Riddle’s ego really is massive isn't it.” All three of your friends' heads began to nod. “I swear if he didn’t verbalize how much he bloody hated us I would think he was flirting with you y/n/n.”
“Shut it, Weasley, don’t you put that on me,” you pointed your finger at him, tone joking but words serious. He put his hands up in defense, laughing along with the rest of your friends as you all gathered your things and headed towards your first class.
Unbeknownst to you, a similar conversation was being had at the Slytherin table. “Glad to see meeting your soulmate hasn’t deterred you from trying to flirt with anything that breathes,” Pansy took a sip of her pumpkin juice, teasing the curly haired boy across from her.
“Dunno what you mean, Pans,” the dimples on Mattheo’s cheeks popping out as he smirked.
“Show us your arm again, cousin,” Draco’s words causing everyone to look at Mattheo now. The younger boy scowled, rolling up the sleeve of his dress shirt. There on his arm, in beautiful loopy script were the words you’ve got to be fucking joking.
Theo couldn’t help but laugh, “Don’t know if I’ve ever seen such a foul word in such pretty handwriting.”
Mattheo rolled his eyes, pulling his sleeve back down, “Yeah, well let’s just hope the bird is someone I can tolerate.”
Tumblr media
You let out a long groan, hands rubbing up and down your face as you leaned your elbows on your knees . Hermione was sat next to you in the common room, rubbing up and down your back, “The day’s not over quite yet, y/n/n. It wouldn’t appear if you weren’t gonna meet them today.”
“Yeah,” Ron put on his best attempt at an encouraging smile, “maybe they’re another Gryffindor and you’ll meet them before we go to bed.” Harry nodded next to him in agreement.
You stood up, grabbing your jumper off the arm of the couch and throwing it on, “M’gonna go for a walk.”
Hermione’s lips downturned, “It’s nearly curfew.” You sighed, looking over at Harry. “I’ll go get my cloak,” he sighed, standing and walking quickly to his dorm room.
After Harry’s return you thanked him, spending an extra twenty minutes convincing Hermione that you would be the utmost cautious and affirmed to Ron that you would stash the cloak if you were to be caught.
Now you were quietly climbing the stairs to the astronomy tower. When you got to the top, you did a quick look over the railing. With no sign of Filch anywhere you dropped the cloak, laying it on the floor so you didn’t have to sit on the bare ground.
As you got comfortable you dug in your shirt, pulling out a spliff. Hermione would murder you if she found out you smoked, however the year you all had to study for your O.W.L’s, you were so stressed you ended up buying from Theo Nott.
He promised to keep it to himself and you promised it was a one time thing, but you found yourself buying from him every couple months. You weren't sure if she would be more disappointed in your smoking, or you interacting with someone in the forbidden Slytherin group.
You mumbled a short incendio before taking a long drag. You blew the smoke out slowly, watching it ripple through the air and up into the night sky. You looked up at the stars, knowing the day was likely to be over soon and wondering if you were the only witch that was destined to not run into their soulmate like everyone else.
You were lost in your thoughts and self pity. So much so you didn’t even hear someone come up the tower steps until they hit the top. You scrambled to your feet, ready to cover yourself with the cloak when you realized it wasn’t Filch, but a boy instead.
The dark of the night made it difficult for you to see exactly who it was at first, that and the fact that every time he took a step forward you seemed to take a step back until your back was against the stone wall. When he finally stepped into the light, your breath caught in your throat. Standing in front of you, signature smirk adoring his face was Mattheo Riddle.
You stayed rigid against the wall as he got closer to you. His fingers brushed yours as he took the spliff, bringing it up to his lips and inhaling. His eyes never left yours as he turned his head slightly, blowing the smoke into the night. His eyes traveled over you, taking in your black sleep shorts and house jumper. When he looked at your face again he locked eyes with you, almost like he was trying to read what was going on in your brain.
“Do I intimidate you, love?” The words seemed to leave his lips without a second thought and you felt like your chest was going to cave in. There was just no way, absolutely bloody not that he said those words, the words you had been anticipating someone to say all day. Him of all people that could’ve spoken them.
He raised his eyebrows at you, clearly looking for you to answer. Instead of some sputtering response of nervousness like Mattheo was expecting, your face just dropped.
“You’ve got to be fucking joking.” Mattheo’s face went white after you responded, and that was all the evidence you needed to confirm that Mattheo fucking Riddle was your soulmate. He hated you. You hated him. How could two people that despise each other be destined to be soulmates?
"What are you even doing up here?" You crossed your arms over your chest, sitting into your hip. His smirk only seemed to grow, "I think the better question is what are you doing up here, partaking in drugs no less? Little miss golden girl."
You rolled your eyes, "What's that supposed to mean, Riddle?" Mattheo's jaw clenched, "It's Mattheo. And you know what it means. Wonder what everyone would think if they knew little miss perfect liked to come up to the astronomy tower to get high."
"Why would anyone believe you over me?" You were acting a little cocky now, but Mattheo was right in the aspect that you and your friends were seen in an overall more positive light than he and his.
However the look on Mattheo's face made you think he knew something you didn't, "I guess I could just have your dealer tell everyone, or are you buying from someone besides Nott these days?"
He was irritating you on purpose now. You grabbed the spliff back from Mattheo, going to sit where you were before but now leaning your forehead against the railing, “This is got to be some kind of mistake.”
Mattheo could only snicker as he went to sit next to you, hanging his arms over the raining as he looked over the grounds, “S’destiny love, no mistake about it.”
“Thanks so much, you’re being really encouraging about this whole thing,” you rolled your eyes, holding your hand out to him. He took it from you, filling his lungs with smoke again, passing it back and forth throughout the conversation.
Mattheo shrugged his shoulders, “At least we’re both fit.” You snorted at this, “Who said I thought you were fit?” He scoffed, “Please, I’ve seen the way you ogle me.” You found yourself laughing, a true full belly head thrown back laugh before you looked at him and he thought the smile you were wearing was actually kind of cute, “How would you know that unless you were ogling me, hmm?”
Mattheo opened his mouth to respond, but found he couldn’t come up with a good enough excuse before you were speaking again. The sigh you let out let him know how stressed you really were, “Our friends are not going to like this.”
He nodded, smoke billowing out of his mouth as he spoke, “Merlin, no. They’re going to bloody hate it. But s’not like it was really our choice.” You knew he was right, and you knew he was trying to be comforting, but the tone in his voice let you know that he was just as worried to let his group of friends know as much as you were.
You opened your mouth to respond to him when you heard the all too familiar jingle of Mrs. Norris’ collar sounding like she was ascending the stairs. Your eyes grew wide as you and Mattheo both jumped to your feet. It looked like Mattheo is contemplating jumping over the tower railing when you grab his arm to push him flat against the stone wall.
He looked at you with utter confusion as you grabbed the cloak before turning around and pushing your back flush against his chest. “What are you-”
“Shut it,” you cut him off, indicating to him to wrap his arms around your waist as you threw the cloak over the pair of you. As the cat walked on to the tower landing you felt Mattheo’s arms tighten around you, doing his best to pull you impossibly closer.
He was decently taller than you, having to duck down slightly so the cloak covered you both properly. His face was tucked in close to your neck. His breath warm and tickling your skin as Filch followed after his beloved pet, glancing around for anything out of place.
When he was satisfied, Filch turned around to leave, letting his cat lead the way. You waited a few beats, making sure they were nearly to the bottom of the staircase before pulling the cloak off the two of you and pushing Mattheo’s hands off of your body.
“Thing comes in handy, that,” he pointed to the cloth in your hand. You chucked, “Yeah, m’sure your lot would get a lot less detentions if you had one.” Mattheo rolled his eyes, “Yeah, we can’t all be like the golden quartet.”
You scoffed slightly at this as you headed down the stairs, Mattheo close behind you, “We didn’t give ourselves that nickname, you know.” He couldn’t help but laugh, “Yeah but m’sure you all don’t mind it. Definitely gets you some favoritism.”
You stopped at the end of the corridor, Mattheo running into your back at the action and cursing. You turned to face him, “You know, my friends and I have endured a hell of a lot of shite over the last couple years, maybe we deserve a little break when we’re actually able to do normal bloody teenage things.”
As much as you were trying to be harsh with him, be the slightest bit intimidating, his height gave him all the advantage. Mattheo knew what you meant, what you were saying without saying the words themselves. “I’m not like him. Don’t clump me in your same category of hatred. He’s done things to me too,” his eyes reflected a bit of hurt as he spoke and you knew he was telling the truth.
Everyone in school assumed Mattheo was just like his father, held the same ideals and wanted the same things for the wizarding world. The look you were seeing on his face told you otherwise. Your frustration quickly fizzled, instead turning into something closer to pity, “M’sorry.”
“Don’t be,” he deadpanned, “Let’s just get back to our common rooms.” You walked together in silence until you had no choice but to split off. You agreed to meet each other in the courtyard during lunch the next day and you were racking your brain on how you were going to break this news to Harry, Hermione and Ron.
Tumblr media
To say you were nervous was an understatement. When you broke the news to your friends about who your soulmate ended up being it wasn’t exactly well received. Hermione was worried, but understanding of the fact that you had no choice in the matter. Harry was upset, but again was trying his best to be mature and said he wouldn’t interfere with you spending some time with Mattheo to get to know him better. Ron took it the worst, which you wished surprised you but he did have a flair for the dramatics.
You were first waiting for Mattheo on a bench in the courtyard, but you couldn’t stop your legs from bouncing, therefore you found a place beneath a tree, attempting to read the same three lines of a book Hermione had loaned you the other day.
When Mattheo found you and finally sat down next to you, you shut your book immediately, letting out a sigh of relief, “Oh thank Godric, you’re here.” It didn’t go unnoticed by you the way a pair of dimples christened his cheeks, “Miss me already, pretty girl? S’barely been twelve hours.”
You shoved his shoulder lightly, trying to resist the pink that tinted your cheeks at the nickname he used, “Not at all, I’ve been sitting here for the better part of twenty minutes, mind you. Thought maybe you decided to ditch me.” Mattheo shrugged, “M’always late. You’re gonna have to get used to that. And I would never ditch you, we’re soulmates, love. You’re stuck with me for life.”
He had a childlike grin on his face when he said that latter part and you couldn’t help the slight notion of butterflies that seemed to flutter in your stomach or the smile that appeared on your face.
All last night you thought it was going to be difficult to fall for Mattheo, but maybe the universe knew something when it paired you two together.
“So how did your friends take the news?” You tried to keep voice neutral, but you really were worried about their responses. Mattheo leaned back against the tree, “They were shocked for sure, Draco took it the hardest. He was more worried about having to spend more time with Potter than me being with you though. Told him that would probably be more rare than he anticipated. W’bout yours?”
You nodded, “Not as bad as I thought, actually. Mione was understanding, as always. Harry was actually pretty good about it, but very skeptical. Ron actually took it the worst, but he’s just protective. Basically like me brother.”
“How d’ya mean?”
You leaned back against the tree yourself, shoulder to shoulder now with Mattheo. You could feel the heat radiating off of him and you wondered if his skin was always warm to the touch, “Both my parents are aurors so they travel a lot. They didn’t think it was safe for me to go with them, so Ron’s mum offered for me to stay at theirs whenever it was needed. Turns out it was needed more times than not growing up.”
Mattheo nodded, listening intently as you spoke. You both started asking surface questions about each other; favorite color (he said black), favorite hobby (quidditch), favorite class (free period).
When both your friend groups came looking for you after lunch period Mattheo asked if you would go to Hogsmead with him over the weekend. You agreed, finding yourself wanting to get to know more about him. Over the next two months you went to Hogsmead with Mattheo at least one day during each weekend.
You slowly learned that his favorite candy was fizzing whizbees, having to stop at Honeydukes every trip for him to grab some. You learned that he was actually very intelligent even though he tried to seem like he wasn't, as he was passing all of his classes even though he skipped half of them. You learned that even though Draco was older than him, he felt like an older brother to his cousin. And maybe your favorite thing that you learned, purely on accident, was that if you squeeze just above his hip that he was incredibly ticklish.
Throughout all of this you still hadn’t kissed. You kept telling yourself (and your friends) that you didn’t want to, but the more time you spent with him, the more you found yourself yearning for it. There were times of lingering touches; his hand on your lower back as he guided you into a building, his fingertips brushing yours as you walked, his leg pressing against yours while you sat next to each other in the courtyard or at the Three Broomsticks.
Hermione, the ever observant friend that she was, noticed your shift in attitude towards Mattheo even before you did. So when she cornered you in the common room, demanding you tell her your true feelings it was almost a relief to let it all out.
“I think I might actually like him, Mione. Like, I know that sounds like something an insane person would say, that they like Mattheo Riddle, like romantically, like someone who isn’t just some daft bimbo, but there's just so much more to him that he lets people see.”
Hermione can’t help but laugh, “I get what you mean. Harry and Ron are coming around, you know. They see how happy you look when you’re with him.”
You tilt your head slightly at this, “What do you mean how happy I look?”
Hermione just shakes her head with a smile, “Like you’re with your person.” You can’t escape the blush that creeps up your neck and covers your cheeks. Hermione’s giggling at you now, “Have you still not kissed him yet?”
You scoffed, “Godric, no.” She pushed your shoulder playfully, “Well why not, y/n/n? Don’t you want to?”
You looked down at your hands, playing with your fingers, “I mean…I think so? But he just hasn’t really…gone for it, you know?”
She nodded in solidarity, “Oh I know, trust me. I had to make the first move with Ronald. Maybe you have to do the same thing?”
You contemplated her words. They invaded a space in your brain for the rest of the night, then the rest of the next morning, and through dinner, and even now as you stood leaning against the railing in the astronomy tower waiting for Mattheo to meet you.
When you heard him coming up the steps you turned only to see him with the sweetest smile on his face. “Hey pretty girl,” he greeted as he enveloped you in a hug. “Hi, Teo,” you had donned the nickname on him your third or so time at Hogsmead. He gave you a good squeeze before letting go, his arms still lingering on your waist with yours around his neck, “What’d you wanna talk about?”
His question was innocent, no implications in his voice that he expected anything beyond you wanting to see him. With Hermione’s advice in the back of your head you knew you needed to just act, as any more talking might lead to you psyching yourself out.
You slid your hands down from his neck, grasping lightly to the lapel of his blazer. He raised his eyebrows slightly at the action, the smallest of smirks on his face.
Without giving yourself time to overthink you pull him into you, lips crashing against yours. He’s shocked at first, but just for a moment before he responds, walking you back until you’re pressed against the stone wall.
One of his hands slides up your body, ghosting over your stomach and the valley of your breasts before settling lightly on your neck. The implication of the hand gesture makes you whimper slightly and Mattheo takes the opportunity to deepen the kiss. Your hands find his hair, tugging lightly at the curls.
When he finally pulls away you find yourself chasing his lips and he smiled at the reaction. “I think I could kiss you forever,” his forehead is resting against yours, lips still so close you can feel his breath on your own. “Yeah?” you laugh a little, smile only increasing when he presses a kiss to your cheek, “Yeah, pretty girl. Forever.”

Woof woof yall.

Tumblr media
You’re out in the woods one day, taking photos and going for a little hike. Stupid mental health walk or something; whatever, it’s a nice day and you’ve gotten some good shots. You’re just about to turn back when a huge brown and black wolf lopes out from a nearby thicket.
There aren’t any wolves in England though! Hunted to extinction - it’s why you feel safe bebopping around the forest alone in the daylight. So you see this big fuck-off sized “dog” and coo at the pretty puppy.
“Hello handsome boy, aren’t you just gorgeous! Will you come say hi?”
You do all the right things that you’re supposed to do with an unfamiliar dog but he just barges right through. Trots up to you, nose shoved into your crotch. You startle, bark a laugh, shove at his big stupid head.
“A little forward,” you tease, scratching under his chin, “but it’s better than biting.”
You feel all around his neck for a collar, but no luck. He must be someone’s though, huge blue eyes too intelligent and focused on your words. And his coat is so well maintained, glossy and shedded.
“Do you know how to… sit?”
An adorable head tilt, and the big dog settles onto his hind quarters.
“What a good boy!” you croon. “So smart!”
He licks at your palm and wrist as you scratch at him, huge tail thumping. A canine grin, tongue lolling out as he waits for your next command.
You hum.
“Well, guess we can check if you’re microchipped, huh? Or at least I can get you some water. See if someone recognizes you…”
You make a kissy noise at him. “Let’s go, big boy. Come.”
And to your delight, he falls into step with you. He weaves along the path ahead and behind, but always loops back to you, brushing against your thigh as if to reassure you he’s still there.
You hum as you walk, giggling when you see his ears twitch and swivel towards you. Tease that he should do better if he doesn’t like your version of Jolene.
You only cross paths with two other people on the walk, a pair of guys clearly out for a more serious hike. The dog plants himself between you and them, ears pinning back and a low growl erupting from his chest. You startle a bit, carefully burying your fingers around his scruff in case you need to grab him quickly.
“I’m guessing he doesn’t belong to either of you, then?” you ask.
One of the guys shakes his head. The other gives you an odd look. “He’s not yours?”
The dog barks, loud and rough. You shush him, explain the situation to the hikers. But the dog never stops rumbling and they quickly go on their way, keeping a wide berth.
You huff. “Don’t like men, huh?”
Poor thing. Maybe he was abandoned by a mean owner?
“S’alright, bud, I’ll be good to you.”
He follows you all the way back to your home. And when you open the door, shoulders right past you.
“Ah, shit,” you groan. “You weren’t supposed to come in!”
He gives you an almost betrayed look. You try not to huff in amusement.
“So help me, if you bring nasty things in this house I will shave you. Shave you. You’ll look so silly. Like an overgrown raw turkey.”
The dog turns, trots back to you. You didn’t realize just how big he is until he’s got his big paws on your shoulders. You blink, have to take a step back to brace against the weight of him. In his hind legs he’s taller than you. Really could pass for a pure bred wolf.
A big, rough tongue licks from your jaw to your forehead. You scrunch up your face but end up laying a kiss on his muzzle in return.
“Alright, you big nasty. Down you get.”
You shut and lock the door behind you, brushing leaves and dirt off.
“Okay, shower first,” you say aloud, already tugging off your clothes. “Then we’ll run into town, see if we can track down your family.”
You don’t mind the dog staring, unblinking, as you strip down right there, balling things up to avoid tracking a mess through the house. Nor do you mind him following you to the bathroom, though you do push at his snout when he licks the back of your knee. Just normal dog things, really. They don’t get people stuff like clothes or boundaries.
“Stay out of trouble, bud. I’ll be right out.”
As you wash up, you consider the merits of adopting. Only if you can’t find the dog’s actual family, that is. It’s lonely in your little house sometimes - and a bit spooky at night. A big, protective dog might be just the thing.

"do you want some of this?" you ask ellie from where you stood in the kitchen, a bowl of leftovers ready to be heated up in front of you on the counter.
she shook her head and muttered a quiet "no, thank you" from her position on the couch, but tracked your movements as you turn to open the microwave. she was gnawing on her bottom lip, looking intensely at your exposed shoulders in the tank top you wore.
ellie sat back and propped her bent leg on her knee, her phone forgotten on the couch cushion next to her and softly replaying the same video over and over as she hones her gaze in on you instead. you slouch into the fridge and wait for your food to finish, examining the skin of your hands.
she watches as you scratch a spot behind your ear, but once you pull your hand back, her gaze remains on that spot, then moving up to your hair loosely tied in a knot at the base of your neck. she examines the curve of your ass in the pajama pants you had on, the bunched-up fabric of your tank top at your hips, and then your eyes when you turn around to stare at her after feeling the scrutiny of her gaze on your back.
"ellie, why are you looking at me like i’m a turkey leg?" you poke, your lips curling with your attempt to hide your smile.
she doesn't respond, just simply smiles, lazy and arrogant as she reaches for her phone and turns it off with the side button, standing up and beginning her path towards you. she saunters into the kitchen, approaching you and dropping her eyes to your torso.
"hey, where'd you get this tank top?" she asks, thumbing at the hem at your hips with her brows tightly drawn together.
"oh, i don't remember," you say, frowning as you try to recall where it was from. "maybe the mall? i think it was from the shop between..."
you trail off as you realize she's not listening to a word you're saying, following where her eyes have settled onto your chest. then you catch on to her posture, her body language: bottle green eyes slightly unfocused in deep thought, the narrow part of her lips that she panted through, the apples of her cheeks slightly flushed. and she finds the strength to shake herself out of that hypnotizing haze to brew up a complete, cohesive thought.
"take it off," she orders, her voice surprisingly clear when compared to how far away her gaze looked.
ellie presses her lips to yours in a slow yet intensely passionate kiss, her cold hands winding around and under your tank top and pushing it up to your ribs. it's then that the microwave beeps—a shrill three beeps—a wailed reminder at your initial intent to eat.
"your tank top," she purrs against your mouth as you grab onto her upper arms to ground yourself. "you should take it off, you know." her voice is hoarse with need, already pulling your top over your head after you wordlessly lifted your arms up.
and immediately, the swift movement envelops your braless chest in a cold cloud, kissing your already hardened nipples. pushing your chest into ellie's to chase her warmth, you drop the tank top to your feet and wrap your arms around her waist.
she clamps her hands on either side of your head to bring you back in for another kiss, taking her time with slowly moving her lips on yours. you taste her lip balm—a mild one, smelling of beeswax and honey—and pull back to take a breath. ellie's eyes drop to your tits, your pert nipples standing at attention.
you'd never truly grasped the meaning behind the phrase 'a pair of eyes darkened a shade or two,' or how 'pupils dilated and took over the color of the iris'—not until now. now you saw it. you saw the way the sage and shamrock shades of ellie's eyes seemingly shrunk and were replaced by oak greens, emerald greens, and even flecks of black that you'd never noticed. and her pupils. you watched as they swelled up like the lens of a camera, finding the focal point of you.
her kisses suddenly grew hungry and hurried, her open-mouthed kisses seeming almost sloppy. she quickly reaches your sternum, sucking on the smooth skin and leaving a trail of saliva behind.
her mouth finds your nipple, hand moving up to the other as she pulls it into her mouth. her fingers twist and pull at the hardened bud on one side while her tongue flicks over the other. your fingers thread into her hair, willing her to continue her slow but sure destruction of your resolve.
she signals for you to lay down but seemingly remembers where you both stand in the kitchen. as if she can't not touch you for more than a second, she plants her hands on your waist and starts waddling you backwards towards the hallway with her lips still on yours. you trip and almost fall on a pair of ellie's shoes discarded in the middle of the hallway, and after playfully glaring at her, you lead her to the bedroom by your hand.
ellie nudges you down to lay on the bed, then folds over you and climbs up to eye level. quickly distracted, her eyes fall to your painfully neglected tits, settling in between your thighs and licking that spot on your neck that makes you go cross-eyed.
"ellie... please just—" you grab her hand and move it to your core yourself—"touch me already. god."
not even in the headspace to tease you about your neediness, her mouth opens with her response.
"take off your pajama pants and sit up," she orders, rolling off of you and leaning her head back on the headboard, her sweat-clad legs spread wide.
you do as she says, pushing the pants over your hips, kicking them to the floor, and then waiting for your next instruction.
"come sit on my thigh." she pats your butt to get you to move closer to her, swinging your leg over hers with her hand.
she plants her hands on your hips and pushes them firmly down. you hiss out at the contact of her sweatpants on your clit, swollen and ready for attention.
"baby..." you trail off, your eyes drifting shut at the touch.
her hands push on your back and guide you back and forth, and she bites back a smile at how you whine and clasp onto her other thigh for stability.
she takes one of her hands from your back and moves it to your thigh, pawing and kneading at the skin and slowly moving closer to your cunt. her thumb finds your clit and she abruptly rubs at it to pull a reaction from you, her pussy clenching around nothing when you whimper and jump.
"please, let me hear you. please," she begs, pulling the lip you had in between your teeth to try to muffle your sounds.
she stares up at you with stars in her eyes, admiring the mess that your hair was from you throwing your head around, the knot in between your eyebrows at the intensity of her movements, your perky tits jumping at the desperate grinding of your hips.
her mouth nearly waters at that last one, though, so she latches her forearms under your armpits and grips your shoulders, pulling your tits to her mouth. she latches her lips onto one, and your body twitches with a shudder. at this rate, you weren't going to last much longer. ellie noticed, too, the way your legs started spasming, how your noises got louder and more frequent.
she was addicted to you. and, god, your boobs. how perfectly you reacted when she gave them the smallest bit of attention and how needy it made you. the way your tits fit perfectly in the palm of her hand, every bit of the fat sitting in her hand. the thought made her hungrier. it made her more eager to please you. her lips sucked harder on your nipple, her free hand coming up to pinch and twist at the other.
your noises alone, the knowledge that it's her making you feel like this, making you lose control, has her soaked in her boxers, the wet patch sticking to her inner thighs.
"fuck, you sound so good," she groans. "am i making you feel good?"
you scoff at the question—just your moans alone could tell her how close you were, how good it felt.
"i'm so close, fuck. you wanna make me cum, mama?" you tease, smirking at how her eyes flutter for a moment.
she wordlessly obeys, now flicking her tongue over your pebbled nipple and roughly dragging you across the fabric on her thigh, humming contently at the way you've soaked the cloth through.
your climax hits you like a train, your legs twitching and locking around ellie's thigh as you throw your head back with a sob. ellie keeps her tongue working, switching to the other side to not neglect it. once, your heart rate begins to return to normal, her persistent sucking and nipping becomes too much all at once.
"ah, wait wait wait," you start, trying to push her head off, "please. it's too much."
once she pulls back, her throat bobs with a thick swallow and she dumbly continues staring at your tits.
"you're so stupid," you pant out, nudging her with your knee to grab her attention.
she kisses you on the cheek, then on the nose, mumbling, "it's not my fault you make it so easy to get you fucked out from just your nipples."

Character: Bucky Barnes
Summary: an old acquaintance calls in a favour, leaving you with an unexpected house guest.
As usual, I would appreciate any and all feedback. I’m happy to once more go on this adventure with all of you! Thank you in advance for your comments and for reblogging ❤️
Tumblr media
You stare through the window as hammering echoes through the glass. Despite the muffling of the barrier between you, it’s loud enough to put you on edge. Or maybe that’s because of the man calmly bringing the iron down on the nails.
As if he can sense you, he looks up, his dark hair flopping back. You quickly spin away. You have to be going stir crazy. Bucky was just concerned. A lot of people come up this way and get freaked out by the wilderness. You used to when you visited as a child.
You go back to the kitchen and take out the ingredients for your grandma’s classic turkey stew. It’s always a comfort as the temperature starts to drop. Still, it’s never as good as she made it. One day, you might figure out the secret.
Cooking is a good distraction. There isn’t much to do up here. Often, you enjoy that facet of your existence. You work then disconnect and just do your own thing. Now you can’t help but feel the desolation.
Thunk, thunk, thunk. The hammering continues. You put the turkey into roast. It’s always better to season and cook it first then shred it up for the stew. You set the broth to simmer with the chunked veggies and pace the kitchen as you wait for it all to come together.
You use a fork to pick the meat of the turkey legs and dump it all in the boiling pot. Another hour to meld together and it’ll be ready to serve. The longer you let it, the better. It’s always best the day after.
The silence doesn’t hit you until you hear the back door. The smell of pine follows Bucky inside. You put your attention to the pot and stir it.
He sniffs and sighs loudly as he enters. “Ah, smells delicious. Chicken?”
“Turkey,” you correct him as he twists on the faucet and squirts soap into his hands. He lathers up and looks at you. “It’s funny. Back in my day, not to sound like a crotchety old geezer, women cooked. They had recipe cards on the counter. These days, half the girls I talk to can only use some app to order pizza that tastes like ketchup on cardboard.”
“Oh, yeah? I kinda miss fast food,” you say dully.
“Huh. ‘Cause I miss the home cooking. It’s just... simpler.” He shuts off the tap and shifts closer, drying his hand on the dishcloth as he looms. “If it hadn’t all gone to shit, I probably woulda found a good woman. Settled down, lived the good life.”
“Right,” you nod awkwardly and set the spoon down.
He clicks his tongue and turns, putting his hand on the counter as he leans on one foot. His other hand goes to his hip. “But then I wouldn’t be here.”
“Fair,” you say, distancing yourself as you step around him to get to the fridge. “I got some cider left over? Want some? It’s mulled. Julian down by the Rocks makes it--”
“Think I’m good,” he says.
You put the large glass jug on the counter and open the cupboard. Bucky catches it and shoves it closed with a snap. You face him in surprise. He’s strong. You know that but feeling it is something else.
“Sorry, I... I’m in your way?” You wonder.
“No, you’re right where you should be,” he says.
You try not to lean away from him. Your heart is racing. You swallow and peer over at the dimming window.
“I could help you cover up the lumber before--”
“Already did that,” he interjects. “You know, I think I’m where I need to be too,” he edges closer. “Think after everything, I did find that good woman.”
You blink, speechless. You can barely think above the tempo behind your ears.
“I hear it.” He puts his fist to his chest and knocks on it. “I know you feel it too.” He stills his hand and holds it over his heart. “I was pissed when Sam brought me up here. Dropped me off like some stray dog. The longer I’m here, the more I realise he did me a favour. He didn’t dump me on you...” you wince as he pulls his hand away from his chest and opens it to cradle your face, “he gave me you.”
“Bucky,” you latch onto his wrist but can’t move it. “I think we need some space. Don’t you?”
“No,” he says flatly.
“You spend too much time in the same proximity, and it starts to get weird--”
“No,” he repeats. “I’m right. It’s perfect. You’re strong, you cook, you’re handy, not afraid to get a little dirty,” he slides his hand down to cup your chin. You flinch but can’t pull away. “And you got a nice ass.”
“Bucky,” you breath and gently shove his chest. “I’m saying to you that you’re wrong. I’m flattered and all but no.” You push harder as he squeezes tighter. You whimper, “ow, let me go. I’m calling Sam-”
“Shh,” his other hand swoops up to back of your skull. He lurches you closer, bringing you to your nose as he snarls down at you. “You’re not calling anyone.”
“Bucky--”
“It’s the way you say my name,” he growls.
“Please, you’re hurting me--”
He hushes you again as his thumb rubs behind your jaw. He turns you so your penned in against the counter. You splay your fingers across his chest, dragging them down to his stomach as you push on him. He stands unmoving.
“Let go--”
“You. Let go,” he insists calmly. “You built this wall around you. Let it down,” he drops his hand from your head and lets it trail down your back, “let me in.”
“No, I’m telling you.” You squirm against him. “Stop this, right now.”
“I know you want me. I found that toy. The little flower, hm?” He tickles along your side, your jaw aching in his grip. “You wanna feel the real thing? Huh?”
“Please,” you clasp the fabric of his shirt in your fingers.
“Doll, I want you think about this,” he buries his thumb behind your jaw until you whine. “You’re up here all by yourself. Lonely days, lonelier nights. Anyone could catch on. They could figure out just as fast as I did.” He leans in until you’re nearly bent backwards. “You need a man because any old beast could snatch you up.”
Your eyes glisten and you search his face. He doesn’t look human. He’s animalistic. His eyes are dark and dilated and his jaw is set with slathering hunger. Your lip trembles.
"Wouldn't you rather have the beast on your side, doll? Instead of tearing it down?” He purrs and shifts his hand around your chin, bringing his thumb up to poke at your lower lip. “I can be good for you, all you gotta do, is the same.”

In January of 2024, Dr. Bara Zuhaili entered Gaza on a two-week medical mission with a U.S.-based organization, Rahma Worldwide. Dr. Zuhaili dedicated most of his time to Shuhada' Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al-Balah, central Gaza. While this was not his first experience in a wartime or crisis setting — he had undertaken medical missions in Syria and was in southern Turkey during the earthquake — it proved to be his most horrific. As a vascular surgeon, he was tasked with assisting Gazan doctors in one of the ugliest tasks of this war: amputations. A generation of amputees has emerged, with over 10 children losing one or more limbs per day, on average, since the beginning of the war. Dr. Ghassan Abu-Sittah called it “the biggest cohort of pediatric amputees in history.” Even this statistic, reported by UNICEF in December of 2023, is now outdated. The true number of men, women, and child amputees remains unknown, with estimates ranging upwards of 10,000 people. It is a number that will continue to rise as new and unknown weapons destroy tissue and bone, crumbling medical infrastructures and scarce supplies force constant life-and-death decisions, while infections and chronic illnesses — largely ignored — silently kill or handicap thousands.
Is this the first time you've worked in a war zone or in a humanitarian crisis? Did any of them prepare you for this? It was not the first time. Unfortunately, I had experience in Syria, working in the underground hospitals in the besieged areas of Aleppo and Idlib. There, the healthcare facilities were also under constant attack by the Syrian regime. But Gaza was unlike anything I had seen before. To start, the supply chain was completely broken. Supplies were extremely limited in Deir Al Balah, where I was based for most of my stay. The hospital functioned at only 5-10% capacity compared to any similar hospital in the Middle East—I'm not even talking about an American hospital. Then, there were the number of patients. Just to give you an idea: Shuhada' Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al Balah is only equipped for 150 patients. Under extreme circumstances, they could maybe stretch to accommodate up to 200 patients. When I arrived, there were 950 patients, in addition to over 20,000 refugees sleeping in the corridors of the hospital and its complex. Every time we experienced a bombardment, we had anywhere from 20 to 60 patients rushing in simultaneously, in addition to the patients already being treated. It was completely overwhelming and overcrowded. The third issue had to do with the type of injuries. I've seen a lot of trauma before — traumatic injuries are not new to me — but the level of trauma I saw was something I've never witnessed in my entire life. When I was in the operating room, I would get a call from the ER saying someone was shot in the leg and they needed me as soon as possible. In my mind, someone shot in the leg with a bullet would have an entry size of about five to six millimeters and an exit wound size of about two centimeters long. That is what I was familiar with. What I saw in Gaza — which I had never seen before — was literally as if an explosion, an RPG, had exploded into the leg. The entry wound would be about five to 10 centimeters wide and the exit wound would be almost 30 centimeters wide. One bullet would destroy a diameter of 10-15 centimeters… all of the muscle, bone, arteries, and nerves were all gone, destroyed.I'm not a military expert, I don't know much about weapons. But I don't know what kind of bullet can cause that much destruction. With a bullet wound in the U.S., I could get away with doing a bypass to salvage the leg. In Gaza, there was nothing anyone could do to salvage the leg. The amount of tissue damage forced me to do amputations almost every single time.
Can you describe what a single day would look like? As a rule, anytime a bombardment happened, we would wait between four to eight hours before we received any injured people. In Deir Al-Balah, we would see the missile hitting two to three kilometers away and we knew that there were many casualties, but it would take these people — who were only three kilometers away from us — four to eight hours to reach our location. The IOF (Israeli Occupation Forces) prevented any ambulances from entering the scene, and anyone attempting to help or approach would be shot. I had many cases where the ambulance driver would come to me holding two or three kids. They were dead, and he would swear to me they were alive four hours ago. We lost a lot of lives just waiting to reach us in the hospital. Our days typically began around seven in the morning, and even though the night was filled with attacks and bombardments, no casualties would reach us before the morning. By then, we would go to the ER and try to start the triage process: determining who needs to go to the OR first and who could afford to wait. We would then perform surgeries throughout the day, often not finishing until one or two in the morning. Sometimes, if I had time, I would do my rounds to check on the patients, and by late afternoon, we would have more bombardments and injuries coming in until midnight. Usually, by midnight, things slowed down… not because there was no bombardment, but because they couldn't reach us anymore.

“One just isn’t enough”
Kit Walker x f!reader
Warnings! Smut, Porn w/ zero plot, rough sex, (HEAVY) breeding k!nk, overstimulation, 100% not proofread, short drabble/ imagine
Tumblr media
This idea popped in my head and I needed to write it immediately. Yes, I am working on the other fics. Here’s a snack in the meantime.
Knawing on my prison bars rn I need him so bad
Tumblr media
I can barely keep my mouth closed from the intense heaving pants leaving my lips, harmonized with effortless moans.
Kit’s hips slam harshley into me, skin slapping shamelessly as he pins me deep into the mattress as hard as he can in some sort of primal way. My legs hooked over his shoulders as his hands grip the bed at the sides of my face. Folding me and squishing me down into the bed.
I can feel the blown look of my gaze watching his, his expression clouded with this carnal lust, sweat beading on his forehead.
“Fuck, I’mgonna ge’ you so pregnant, suga’” He groans loudly, the words spilling from his lips as he ruts into me desperately, his tip ruthlessly slamming into that spongespot that makes my whole body shiver. His pelvis brushing against my swollen clit.
“You’re gonna look so pre’tty.” He babbles on, his brows furrowing. He moans shamelessly, his cock pulsating as he gets closer.
“Kit—!” I whine desperately, the words stumblibg past my lips wantonly.
“I know, suga’. I know.” He coos, swiping a comforting hand on the side of my face for a moment before steadying back into the mattress as he picke up again.
I can feel my second orgasm coming, and before I can get out a single whine, my thighs practically vibrate, exploding with come. Kit feels the intense vibrating, my moan choking out after as my face furrows and I dig the back of my head into the mattress, gritting my teeth.
The sight sends him into overdrive and he presses himself further flush against me, nipping at my ear after raising my gaze and slamming his hips as deep as he could go, bullying my cervix. A string of sweet moans and whimpers fall from his lips.
“Gon’na make you a pretty baby, jus’ for you mama,” He groans for a final time in my ear, his sexy boston accent thick. My mind is completely blank, overstimulated to the moon and back. To my relief, he had already begun to falter before completely botting out and going still. Pumping his seed thick and deep, he pants, still holding me down for a few more moments.
I couldn’t tell if he did it to baste me like a turkey or if he was truly tired. Maybe both. But I didn’t care, I just hoped it would be more than enough to have another kid with him, and the tender kiss he placed on my nose after—showering me in affection—made up for the brutal fucking that was sure to leave me swollen for the next few days. More the next 9 like months.

birthday boy
Tumblr media
[30.3.2024]
note: haha once again this is so self indulgent, but i love it so much so like >>> (please let me know if y'all want a party 2) words: 2k warnings: mentions of drinking, swearing, angst :)
"hey! [name], come 'ere!" a voice yelled after you.
you were putting on your lipgloss, lips puckered and shiny.
you knew exactly who it was, but you chugged your drink and then kept walking even as you heard the light footsteps of a teenage boy. you couldn't help but roll your eyes, infuriated at the only one and only rafe.
"i'm not your lap dog, rafe!" you said through gritted teeth, as he reached you. finally, you turned and stopped to see rafe's arrogant face.
he glanced at your face, his tongue darting out of his mouth to lick his lips.
it was the bonfire at kildare. the one place where kooks and pogues went to party all night. of course rafe was here, and you were there to have fun and get loose and if he created some sort of problem for you, you'd sack him in the eye. maybe a blossoming blue bruise would look great on his 'perfectly,' simetral face. your brother had taught you to defend yourself in the summer, and you wondered what your nasty hook would do to hid face.
"make it snappy," you said glaring at him. he looked unfazed, smirking.
"as lovely as always, aren't you?" he flirted, leaning against the wall. the expensive watch on his wrist glinted in the light.
"speak."
finally, he gave up sighing dramatically, looking as if he was going to fess up. though he looked incredibly cocky.
"come to my birthday party. it's on the 19th" he told you, a mischievous glint in his eyes. the nerve he had!
you groaned, "no."
surprise flashed across his face, and then something like challenge flickered in his eyes.
"but i'm a very good boy," he pouted.
"could you kindly fuck off?" then you turned around, strutting to your friends. you wanted to say you weren't blushing, as your heart stuttered violently at his voice.
rafe would be the end of you.
"rafe! where are you?" you called, your 8 year voice squeaking with fear. you felt frantic, your small thudding. rafe and you were inseparable, and in that same fashion you had made him a hand turkey and he hung in his cubby.
that was true friendship.
and now he was gone.
"[name]?" a small voice called. it was rafe hiding near the bushes.
you ran as fast as your tiny legs could carry you. rafe eyes were pink from crying, and you felt yourself tearing up, as your hands trembled.
"rafe? what happened?" you asked gasping. he was crouching, his little hands red.
now he peered up at you with watering eyes.
"i fell."
the red welts on his hands and knees bled so properly you cried out in fear.
"c'mon let's go to ms. asha!" you yelled and held out your sticky hand. he took it, and the two of you hobbled away.
when you reached your teacher, rafe told her all about your help. he smiled at you, as you found yourself blushing.
"a sticker for your bravery," ms. asha fussed, giving you and rafe two firefighter stickers.
"did you save him?" benny asked you, her eyes wide with wonder. you pushed from the admiring tone and felt your heart swelter with pride. benny was so smart, and for her to be admiring you...that was everything a kid wanted.
rafe nodded, rubbing his knee, a sweet smile on his face.
"yeah," you whispered out, as you puffed out your chest. you were a hero.
you were nervous. it was after 8 years that you were going to go to the same school as benny and rafe. after second grade, your parents took you to europe for your studies. only plans had changed and now here you were in america.
in america, looking at kildare academy with it's daunting building and high standards.
"she'll be in good hands," the principal chuckled. your parents smiled, and you wanted to go back tightly holding your mother's hand.
you winced, as your mother slowly unwrapped your fingers from hers. she kneeled to kiss you on the forehead.
"you'll do great things here. i mean-" then she gave your father an adoring look, "it's where the two of us met."
then your principal led them away, as your parents waved goodbye.
here was your future just waiting to be taken.
the day passed quickly, and it was all going well until english. you'd so far completed all the classes and ate lunch alone. everything was fine.
at least that's what you kept telling yourself.
yes. oh yes, it was fine that benny had passed without a single glance, or the fact that no one remembered you at all.
hell, a few girls did remember you though, and they gave you half-hearted hellos. some of the guys eyed you with recognition but the people who mattered...didn't remember you.
but you still hoped that maybe rafe would remember you, but that was until you realised that rafe was right there, and instead of recognition in his eyes, he looked at you with scrutiny. he'd changed, and you were surprised to realise that he was handsome
his frame had filled out, no longer a wiry little boy, instead he towered over you. he loosely wore his tie, his shirt ticked and a smirk that stayed on his face. his hair was a dirty blonde adorned with golden highlights.
class began and you stumbled into our seat. the teacher introduced herself, ms. wetherbell and then turned her eye on you. her hand was outstretched in your direction.
"come here, dear."
you sat up too quickly almost falling as you did so. you blushed and there was something inside of you that was glad for this call out. maybe now rafe would recognise you.
"we have a new member joining our class, [name] [last name]."
you waved awkwardly, painfully smiling.
then you watched rafe scrunch up his nose, and mutter something under his breath.
you didn't hear it, yet everyone in the class heard it and started laughing.
they kept their mocking eyes on you, laughter echoing through the classroom, ms wetherbell caught up quickly enough.
"what did you say mr. cameron?" she asked coldly, and he smiled innocently. you could feel tears prick your eyes,
"nothing at all," he mustered sweetly. his eyes followed you again and it was only then he realised who you were.
but it was too late.
present.
you lay in your bed now, your silk pink night gown on. you never thought of those memories, ones that reminded all that you had lost with him. after that day he had tried to apologise to you, following you until you told him that none of it mattered.
you didn't want to hear anything from rafe cameron and that's why you wouldn't give him any of the attention he so badly craved.
just as you drifted off to sleep, settling your paperback back on your side table, a sudden noise woke you up. it was the sound of a pebble hitting your window. you peeked out the window to check.
there he was in all of his glory. rafe kneeling on your roof, clearly intoxicated, his eyes full of excitement as he swayed.
"why are you here birthday boy? you hissed mockingly. but as you watched his sway fear pricked your heart. you knew he would fall and break his neck if you didn't pull him into your room.
he sighed, eyes closed as you roughly guided him into your room.
"i missed you," he slurred and leaned on you. you tried to calm yourself, and not scream at him. you didn't want your parents to know he was in your room.
maybe they'd think he was having a secret relationship with you. at that they would be pleased but at night? your mother would kick both of your asses and really? no thanks. you would rather not be grounded.
"you liar," you whispered out. then you inspected him to make sure he wasn't hurt. he noticed you eyeing you, and gave you a crooked smile. he was always in his element.
"like what you see?"
you rolled your eyes, your voice a gasp "you wish."
it was only then did you realised that he had a busted lip. curious . . . even more curious first dipping drunk out of his party, and now it looked as if he had fought.
"did you fight someone? where else are you hurt," you asked him slowly. as much as you disliked him you couldn't let him wander around hurt.
he winked in a drowsy manner. "i won, sweetheart. and just the one here."
then he lifted his shirt to show a yellowish-blue bruise. it looked so bad you hissed quietly. then you slowly approached him with your cream.
you peered up at him, round eyes full of worry.
"may i?"
he nodded, swallowing deeply.
you tried to apply the cream as gently as you could.
he hissed quietly, "a little softer, sweetheart."
you dropped your hand, realising what you were doing. god, damn it! you looked at him again. drunk rafe, shirtless in your room as you treated him.
you were crazy! instead of breaking down, you took a deep breath and applied some bandage.
"why are you here?" you asked coldly. he opened his eyes and you fell still.
"i told you . . . i missed you." he pouted, and you shook your head ready to get up. goddamn it. just as you going to get up, and tell him to get the fuck out of your room, he stopped you.
"please don't leave me," his voice cracking, "i'm so tired of everyone leaving me." his hold was tightened on your wrist. instead of inching away from him, your whole body melted into his embrace.
he could make you do anything for him. and yet right now you thought you hated him but you were pressed to his side as he nestled his head in your shoulder.
"tell me why you left that party," you asked him again, and you felt him touch your hair. he played with it, and you could smell the wine all over him.
"i couldn't take it. i had to be with someone who always cared about me. someone who i-i didn't treat every well," he murmured and you felt yourself recoil only for him to grasp your chin to turn you around to face him.
he sighed, "i'm sorry."
you watched his eyes flicker with vulnerability. someone every single time this boy sneaked past your defence and broke your hold on reality.
you got up to walk into your bathroom.
"i need to change," you muttered, picking stuff from your cabinet.
"please [name]."
"what, rafe? what do you want from me? i always tried to be your friend, but you didn't want that. what am i supposed to do?" you whispered as you felt your hands tremble at your sides.
rafe shuddered and then turned to look at you. his eyes were clearer than ever.
"i like you." he slurred, "i'll treat you like a princess and i have the money," he stumbled after you.
you felt like screaming. "i don't want that! and you know that." your voice cracked, as you felt your whole body shudder with sadness.
"trust me. please trust me, this will be good. you're so pretty and kind and i can't get enough," he whispered, his scraped hands reaching for you.
you paced around the room. "stop it! stop it!" you said finally.
"i can't stop thinking about you and you're the only person i want," he whispered harshly, holding your hand, begging for you to look into his eyes.
you walked away from him.
"get out of my room," you yelled, "get the hell out of my room, rafe."
and as he walked out of that door, your heart begged him to stop. you felt yourself drop-down, tears soaking your nightgown.
your heart broke into a million pieces when he walked out of that room.

How about it’s the first year reader celebrates thanksgiving with hotch as a couple and wants to cook the thanksgiving meal all by herself to impress him but it goes horribly wrong… in a cute way lol
new traditions
cw; fem!reader, established relationship, mentions of food, aaron being the softest man ever <3 wc; 1.1k
you thought you had prepared for every possible scenario.
turkey, out of the freezer with plenty of time to thaw. you strategically planned out what was to go in to the oven when (you in fact, had made a spreadsheet). you had quadruple checked your planned recipes, making sure you had each and every needed spice and ingredient they possessed. if all went according to plan, your first thanksgiving as hostess would run nothing but smoothly.
the one thing you hadn't anticipated, however, your apartment's power going out.
your heart plummeted into your stomach when your apartment dimmed and succumbed to complete silence - the hum of the oven halting loudly. while it was instant, the sound seemed determinately slow, as if it were somehow mocking you. that yes, the universe was throwing a wretch in your plans and you had to deal with the consequences.
once your mixer slowed to a stop, you dropped it into the bowl with no condolences for the potatoes, quietly murmuring a 'no no no' under your breath. maybe you had popped a fuse, maybe all your lightbulbs had miraculously popped simultaneously, maybe your eyesight had suddenly decided to give up on you after all these years. but of course, you couldn't be that fortunate.
dinner was ruined.
you gave it an hour or two, in which the time the turkey should've been cooking, and you should've been aiding to all the other dishes you planned on serving. but instead you spent the time lighting candles around your apartment as the sun set, trying to come up with a solution, such as serving dinner, or some of dinner, late. but word soon spread; a tree branch had fallen on multiple power lines and since it was a holiday, it wasn't promised to be restored until tomorrow morning. perhaps the middle of the night if lucky.
defeatedly and regretfully, you grabbed your phone, selecting aaron's contact.
"hey," his deep, relaxed voice entered your ear, full of enthusiasm at that. "we're just about to head over-"
"about that," you cut him off, "i wouldn't venture too far."
a brief moment's hesitancy, "is everything okay?"
there was no use lying, as aaron could cue into every tone change and ultimately determine your mood or current state of mind, even over the phone. "no, my power went out."
"oh sweetheart," his tone deflated, and you could imagine the expression of sympathy struck on his face. "i'm sorry."
"no, i'm sorry." you peered up at the ceiling, trying to keep your inevitable tears at bay. "it's been out for a while, and pretty much stalled everything. i was hoping it would switch back on but it doesn't look that way. so i don't - won't have dinner ready, i'm really sorry."
"sweetheart..."
"i know you said your colleagues were throwing a get-together? i would just attend that. that way, you'll still have somewhat of a thanksgiving."
-
as you sulked, tossing a hardened glare to your kitchen every so often, a knock came from your door. you opened it to reveal two smiling hotchner faces, one just taller than the other.
"jack, what do you say?" aaron's hand found the back of jack's head, ruffling his hair in encouragement.
"happy thanksgiving!" jack rushed forward and hugged your legs, before scampering into your apartment.
"happy thanksgiving." aaron echoed with that smile of his, giving you a kiss upon his entrance inside.
you closed the door behind him, dazed from his arrival and the kiss. "what are you doing here?"
"you didn't think we'd let you spend tonight alone, did you?" he arched an eyebrow, his expression communicating a silent 'yeah right'. like a lost puppy, you silently followed him into your kitchen.
"we whipped up the quickest thing we had at home." aaron explained, unpacking the bag he had brought contents onto the counter. "to jack's delight, that happens to be mac and cheese. it's still warm, so we'll have to eat now. we also brought extra candles - i still can't believe it's this dark out this early."
you leaned into him as he spoke, your cheek pressing against the coarse fabric of his jacket.
"it's wonderful but," you sighed, speaking partially into his upper sleeve, "it's not the traditional thanksgiving dinner i promised."
"then we'll make our own traditions." aaron reassured, opening the tupperware of mac and cheese, steam escaping. "it's our first year, first time for everything."
"but the turkey-"
"-would've been amazing, i'm sure. but this was entirely out of your hands, darling, and we'll make do." he pressed a kiss to your temple, his voiced laced with such understanding. such sweetness.
"well." you warmed up a bit, straightening your posture with a little more hopefulness in your tone. "there's rolls, i suppose."
"see." aaron gave your hip a squeeze, the ends of his eyes crinkling slightly as he smiled. "perfect."
and so, your thanksgiving feast was complete with macaroni and cheese (albeit it was spongebob shaped), dinner rolls, cranberry sauce - the few dishes that hadn't needed help from the stove. rather than your kitchen table, you brought your set-aside-for-fancy-occasions dinnerware to your coffee table, and you each found a seat on the floor, cushioned by a pillow. it was filled with laughter, thoughtful conversations, aaron reminding jack to not talk with his mouth full, and you and aaron exchanging long, loving gazes back and forth.
truth be told, illuminated by candlelight and in the company of the two you had grown to love so immensely the past few months, you had forgotten the current circumstances.
once pumpkin pie was devoured (again, a non-essential of the oven) aaron pulled up a charlie brown thanksgiving on his phone, and the three of you curled up underneath a blanket on the couch. aaron in the middle, you and jack adjacently buried into his side, as close as close could be. but ten minutes in, jack crossed his dad's lap and crawled his way onto yours.
you also had a newfound appreciation of charlie brown's given meal to his friends: toast, popcorn, pretzels, jelly beans. even aaron shot you an amused yet cautious glance at the plot line - too soon? but once he saw you had found it humorous, did he lightly chuckle aloud.
sure, it wasn't the perfect, ideal evening you had originally envisioned, but it was one definitely worth remembering. one you could look back on and laugh at, and the reason why now character pasta was a must-have on the table for future holidays to come.
in hindsight, it was better than you could have ever imagined.

“Eatin’ like it's your last day on earth, Miller...”, you teased with a wry smile as you walked past him in the dining hall.
“Shut it...”, he grumbled, a bit of pink flushing his cheeks. He took another bite of gravy-flooded mashed potatoes.
“What helping’s this? Third? Fourth?”
Joel looked at you, exasperated. “The fuck? Can't a man enjoy his girl’s cookin’ without the third degree?”
You smiled at him, loving how much of a rise you were getting. It had been a few months since you and Joel had your first encounter, and while nothing was made official, more often than not, you’d find yourself entwined with Joel in your bed at night. His heavy, full stomach pressed against your back as you both slept peacefully. While you enjoyed your time together, you were beginning to feel something was lacking, hence your teasing.
The cold glare he gave immediately dampened the playful banter between you. You felt a twist in your mood and sour heat in your stomach.
He shook his turkey leg at you, giving you a scolding look, and warned, “You better knock that shit off, Darlin’... or so help me, I’m not gonna - .”
“Not gonna what?”, you asked, getting closer, and you voice dropped down to a cool whisper only he could hear. “Not gonna fuck me? Pretty sure haven’t been doing that lately anyway, so what’d be the difference, huh?”
He sat back with wide eyes and his mouth open in shock, and his full belly sat rounded out on his lap. You stood up, brow raised, and arms crossed.
“The fuck’s that supposed to mean?!”
Joel was affectionate, but usually too tired, full or both to do anything but let you ride him. And not to say you didn't enjoy it, but it was starting to feel a bit one sided. He hadn’t done anything beyond finger you a bit to get you ready and then sweet talk you into being on top again. He’d apologize and praise you, but you wanted more. Especially now that there was more to him.
His eating habits had really started to impact his physique; his jawline was softer, his arms and thighs were thicker, but his stomach was truly the star of the show. He’d made do with the clothes he had for as long as he could, but at the rate he was eating and the limited physical activity he’d been doing, he had to trade labor and time for new shirts and pants that would fit him. And on nights when he ate like this, you swore you could hear the seams praying to their polyester gods for mercy.
“You know exactly what I mean.”
“Coulda fooled me!”, he snapped, louder than he meant. “Seems to do the trick and make you whine and mewl like a beaten dog almost every night!”
You felt your face get hot as a few heads in the dining hall turned towards you. He sighed and his eyes softened as he saw your face fall a bit. But you held firm, pulling your mouth into a scowl.
“Not every night, nowhere near it. And I’m the one doing the work. I’m the one fuckin’ you!”, you hissed.
Before giving him a chance to say anything else, you quickly turned and went back into the kitchen.
*****
After storming out of the dining hall, you’d spent the rest of your shift cleaning the entire kitchen, probably to a degree it hadn’t been since its installation. You’d scrubbed and polished every surface with enough fury in your eyes that no one dared step in. It wasn’t until you heard the jukebox turn off and see the lights in the dining hall dim that you realized you’d been at this for a few hours.
As you leaned back against the counter, head down and thinking over how your and Joel’s interaction had escalated like that, you heard a small voice say your name. You looked up and saw Sally, one of the other kitchen attendants.
“Sorry - don’t mean to interrupt, but I’m tryin’ to close up and Joel won’t leave. Says he’s not leavin’ without’cha.”
You scoffed out a ‘for fuck’s sake’ then walked to the swinging doors, only to see Joel, still seated where he was before, leaning back in his chair and picking his teeth with a toothpick. His eyes met yours, and you knew just from the look he was giving, he had a lot more to say.
“Joel, go home. Need to close up and can’t if you’re here.”
He looked behind you at Sally and gave her a small wave. “I’ll help her close up, Sally. You run on home. We got this.”
“Joel!”, you hissed.
“Go on now, Sally.”
His tone left little room for Sally to argue, and she muttered a ‘good night’ as she passed by you then Joel as head made her way out the door.  You sighed, clenching your jaw, feeling the frustration and anger that you’d just weeded down in your cleaning frenzy begin to rise again. Joel watched Sally leave, then turned back to you, smug look on his face, made all the smugger as he noted your irritation.
“Darlin’, cut that shit out and come’ere.”, he crooned with a small grin, hilding his hand out to you.
You glared at him, not moving from your position.
He kept his hand out and raised his eyebrows and let out a huff. “Don’t make this old man beg, baby…”
“I think this old man has a lot more ground to cover than just beggin’.”, you responded cooly, crossing your arms across your chest. Before Joel could answer, you turned and went back to the kitchen to finish your duties.
You figured there was a 50 / 50 chance of Joel following you in, so as the door swung open and his heavy footsteps lumbered towards you, you knew he was at least picking up slightly on the passive aggressive breadcrumbs you’d dropped. You kept your back to him, drying cutlery and putting them into their respective bins.
“Darlin’…”
Joel’s voice was set low in a growl, leaving you unable to tell whether he was angry or aroused. You jumped as his hand grazed your lower back and settled on your waist, giving you a small squeeze.
“You wan’me to beg?”, he huskily growled into the back of your neck as he pressed a kiss to your skin.
“I gotta finish closin’ up, Joel.”, you stated, keeping your voice as even and unaffected as you could muster.
Joel let out a frustrated sigh-turned-grunt and let you go, stepping back. He leaned back against the wooden shelf behind him, the wood creaking in objection to his weight.
“Fuck, you’re being-“, he started, before letting out a huff. “What has gotten into you?”
Turning around, you were met with something you didn’t anticipate – a dark, sullen, glaring Joel, eyes burning into you.
“Joel-“, you groaned, before he cut you off.
“Don’t fuckin’ Joel me.”, he snapped. “You got a lot of fuckin’ nerve. You know what you said in front of the people eatin’ their food out there? You said I wasn’t fuckin’ you right. And then, I sit here like a goddamned fool, waitin’ for you to finish so we can talk, and you turn your back on me.”
“Joel, I need t-“
“Shut up! I ain’t done talkin’!”
You close your mouth and swallow hard. While you’d seen him get mad before, Joel had never directed it towards you before, and lord almighty, it sucked.
“You think I’m a fuckin’ mind reader? Think I’m gonna know you’re not happy?”, he asked, sounding loud and desperate, as he stood up and stalked towards you.
As he looked down at you, realization of how much bigger he was, in height and weight, came over you.
“I have said someth-“, you tried to argue, but his large hand grabbing yours and tugging you against him stopped you.
“Don’t interrupt me!”, he barked. “You aint said shit! And now you – fuck! No. You know what? Ain’t worth it!”
His eyes glowered down into yours and you in turn felt your eyes begin to sting with tears at the loss of contact. This was the most emotionally charged you’d seen Joel, and you wanted that same energy and passion when he fucked you, not use it to berate you for needing him to give you the same time and attention he showered on the food you cooked for the whole community. You could feel your face getting hot from the anger that was boiling in you over how overlooked you felt, even if it wasn’t entirely true. You were in a heated, frenzied spiral and reason and rationale had abandoned you.
Before you could snap back and tell him how worth it you actually were, Joel’s eyes softened; he let out a deep breath and let go of your arm and stepped back.
“I’ll… I’ll see you at home.”, Joel muttered before he turned and walked out of the kitchen.
You stood silently and watched him leave, feeling your heart break and immolate in your rib cage and hot tears fall down your face. It hit you hard just how hurt you both were.
*****
The house was dark when you walked in the front door. Joel had left no lights on, and you knew Ellie would be at Dina’s house for the night. The only hint you had to deduce that Joel was in fact home was the dim light you saw through his bedroom window as you approached the house. You hung your coat and tucked your boots on the shelf before quietly ascending the stairs to go to your room.
As you tiptoed in the hallways, you passed Joel’s bedroom door and heard him moving around his room. You could see his shadow from the light slipping under his doorway and felt your stomach curdle and sour, your mind jumping to rash conclusions about what he could be doing in there.
Was he packing to move out and get away from you?
Was he trying to clean up to remove your smell?
Was he collecting your things that you’d left in his room so he could hand them to you and tell you to get out?
As the thoughts rippled through your brain, you knew Joel was more methodical than that. He wouldn’t just leave or make you leave like that… would he?
You stepped forward, forgetting about that floorboard. The creak that sang out made both you and Joel’s shadow stop. You kept still for a moment, but the shadow didn’t move either. You were suddenly thrust back into your childhood; the times you were trying to sneak down into the kitchen to grab a snack or watch a blue movie on cable television without your parents catching you.
That fucking floorboard.
The shadow moved slightly, signaling Joel was getting closer to the door, and you moved quickly to your room, no longer caring how much noise you made. As you reached to grab your door handle, you heard Joel’s door pull open.
“Darlin’?”
Your hand clasped the knob, and you closed your eyes, hearing his voice.
“Yeah, Joel?”
You were surprised how soft and calm your voice sounded; it was a stark contrast to the overwhelming, post-anger, anxiety-ridden mess that was your mind.
“Turn around and look at me, Baby.”
“M’tired, Joel… Just gonna go to bed and – “
“I said turn around.”
It wasn’t a request. His tone was gentle, but you could feel it in your bones that this was a command - a soft one, but a command none the less. Your skin prickled in a wave of goosebumps, up your body, culminating at the base of your neck.
Joel must have been able to see the effect he had on you, because the voice he used to speak almost melted the flesh from your bones.
“Darlin’, you’re gonna turn around and look at me. Now.”
You turned around and looked at him. His broad and hefty silhouette stood ominously in his doorway, backlit by the soft glow from his bedroom.
“You comin’ to bed?”, Joel said quietly, but there was an edge to his tone that made your skin once again pebble.
You narrowed your eyes and tilted your head at his question, then shook your head subtly.
“No, Joel. I figured we’d take the night an-“
“And what?”, he snapped, stepping out into the hallway and towards you.
When you didn’t answer, he took another few steps and growled in a lower tone, “And what?!”
Your eyes went wide as he got closer, and your fight or flight kicked in. Taking a step back, you hit your bedroom door, and stumbled through your words. “I… I-I thought… I figured that you’d wanna-“
“That I’d wanna what?”, he snarled, stepping close and his full belly pressed you further into your door.
“Th-that you’d… you’d wanna be… alone to-tonight…”
Joel’s hand came up and he grabbed your chin, forcing your face square to his. “And why d’you think that?”
“Because… because we fought-“
“And you think that gives you the right to not sleep in my bed?”
You were stunned; you had no answer for him, and you also hadn’t ever been this turned on by him with out him already being knuckle deep in your pussy. You swallowed hard and stared back at him. This was a feeling you couldn’t place; it felt like you were slipping under a spell that Joel was casting.
The only response you could finally give was a headshake, and Joel returned it with a curt nod and slight grin.
“Good girl.”, he purred and released your chin.
You followed Joel back into his room, and stood awkwardly as he closed the door. You’d been in his room countless times, and you’d never felt this out of place. You jumped when he put his hands on your hips from behind and pulled you back, the curve of your spine being the perfect angle for his heavy belly to fit against.
“You feel like I’m not takin’ care of you, Darlin’?”, he huskily mewled into your ear before nipping it.
“Joel, I’m sor-“
“Stop.”, he said, abruptly stopping you from finishing your apology.
“We’re past that, Darlin’. Both said things we needed to say, even if we said’em not so nicely.”
You could hear the small smile in his voice and couldn’t help the one that tugged at your mouth slightly. A whisper soft sound came out of you with a sigh.
But then his tone dipped down, and as he rasped into your ear; one of his hands on your hip slipped to your front as he cupped your denim clad mound.
“You got my attention, baby. You feelin’ needy?”
Your mouth opened, and our flew a feather-light choked whimper. He gripped you roughly and pulled you snug against him, enough so that you could feel his thick and hard cock press against your ass.
“That why you had an attitude with me today? Needed me to fuck you? Fix that ache in your needy pussy?”
You breathed his name out as your brows furrowed and your eyes clenches closed. “Joel…” Your hand snapped on top of his over your crotch, forcing him to apply more pressure and squeeze.
“Need me to remind you that you’re mine?”, he growled before biting the crux of your neck and shoulder.
You nodded, breathing rapidly, then you let out a squeal as he shook your hand off his, then turned and shoved you against the wall. He got close and his hands made quick work in opening and shoving down your jeans. His eyes snapped up to yours and his hand dove between your legs.
“Fuck, baby…”, he sighed, eyes rolling back as he felt how wet you were. “My poor girl’s floodin’ the basement and it’s’all my fault.”
You grabbed his wrist, stabilizing yourself, and let whining pants out with each breath as his middle finger began to dip in an out of your hole. The tip of his thumb gently circled you’re aching clit.
“Yeah… I know I been neglectin’ you, baby girl… but not ‘cause of nothin’ you did… no, baby… you’re just keepin’ me too well fed and I’m fit to be tied by the time we get home… if I could fuck you the way you deserve every night…”
“Oh fuck… Joel, I need y –“
“But you always lettin’ me get away with being lazy an’watchin’ your perfect tits bounce while you fuck this fat old man…”, he rasped, his lids heavy as he watched your face contort in need. “Jesus, Darlin’, you got e’ry right to be cross with me…”
As much as you loved his voice, you needed more. Fisting his shirt, you pulled his face to yours and sucked him into a desperate and messy kiss, teeth and tongues colliding, and it was sharp and splitting. You didn’t need gentle – you needed him.
He finally pulled back, breathing heavily, same as you, and a grin tugged at his parted lips.
“Oh, Darlin’…”, he cooed, finger and thumb still working your cunt in tandem. He leaned in, ghosting his mouth over yours and asked in a voice so soft, you could have cried. “I need you to know how bad you got me, baby… tell me what I can do to prove it.”
Emboldened by his lust-blown eyes with heavy lids looking at you desperately, you put your hand on his shoulder and gave him a gentle push down. A smile pulled at one side of his mouth, instantly understanding your silent request. He stepped back and groaned as he lowered himself down, joints cracking as he got on one knee, and he looked up as he pulled your jeans down further then helped you step out, one leg at a time. As he de-robed your second leg, he lifted it over his shoulder, and he scooted forward, and your eyes stayed trained on him, catching every detail, every twitch of his face as he breathed huskily and inhaled your scent. You watched his eyes flutter and roll back, like you were a buffet of fine cuisine, and he was a starved man. He pressed his nose in your crux and nudged in further, panting and swearing under his breath as he let your aroma and essence envelope him.
He took his time, as if he was making sure to catch every flavour, every note of your taste and smell, almost punishing himself for allowing you to feel unappreciated. His hands reached behind and pulled your hips forward into his face and you whimpered out a gasp as your shoulders planted against the wall behind you being the only thing keeping you upright.
“Joel…”, you breathed out, swallowing, trying to alleviate the dry mouth your open mouth breathing had caused. “Joel, please…”
He groaned into your warmth and opened his mouth, finally letting himself have a taste. His tongue licked out between your folds, starting slowly, but began to increase in intensity as he realized this was his favourite thing to savour. He grunted and panted as he lapped at you, his grip that held you so firmly to his face hurting you in the absolute best way possible.
Your fingers pulled his hair, aiding in keeping your core tightly affixed to his gaping maw, and you rocked your hip, mewling and crying out, begging him for more. Joel was in no position to deny you want you needed, not only because of the iron-clad connection currently created by both of your individual efforts, but he was eating his favourite thing. He’d denied you both for so long, he would happily suffocate between your thighs before ever taking a proper breath again if it paid the price of his sin. The noises he made as he ate and licked and devoured you sounded obscene - he sounded like a starved and feral dog, gnawing at a cut of meat tossed to him out of pity. You’re sure that if you saw his eyes, they’d be a black abyss like a shark’s as it bit down on its next meal.
The sounds he was ripping and peeling out of you were music to his ears, championing him further, pushing him harder to make you give him more of those delicious noises. He was rocking his hips in time with his mouth and tongue, letting his throbbing cock rut against the inside of his jean’s rough zipper. Between that, your taste and your fingers pulling his scalp taught with hair, he was in pure ecstasy.
He brought his hand attached to the shoulder your leg was propped up on and pushed two thick fingers into your core and began to pump them in and out - again, in time with his own hips’ rhythm. The white-hot burning coil that Joel had been slowly winding with his mouth finally sprung loose and snapped. You arched your back, silently screaming out as your body went rigid, and vaguely heard Joel growl. He continued to suck hard on your twitching and swollen clit and punched his fingers up into you as your rode out your orgasm. You heard liquid hitting the wood floor before you heard Joel let out a series of high-pitched groans.
His fingers slowed and his mouth was panting hot, quick breaths on your aching core. You looked down at him, chest heaving, to see him shakily pull his fingers from you and shove them in his mouth. Joel was a beautiful and carnal sight: breathing hard in grunts as he sucked his fingers clean. The act looked primitive, like he’d accessed his baser instincts, and he was satisfying a basic human need, a millennia in the making.
“Joel.”, you croaked, and he looked up at you with blurred eyes that slowly began to focus. He slowly pulled himself up, heaving his heavy belly. You helped him come back to his fully height and he leaned into you, pressing his forehead to yours. You could smell yourself on him as he kissed you softly before resuming your connection through foreheads.
“That was…”
“Yeah… fuck yeah… taste so good.”
“I wanna return the fav-“
Your hand cupped what you thought would be his hard cock, but stopped when you felt him softening and his jeans were warm and damp. You pulled your head back and looked at him, prompting a huffed laugh from Joel, pink flushing up his neck to his cheeks.
“You’re my favourite meal, Darlin’. You got me hooked.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah, baby.”
He pulled you away from the wall and onto the bed. He laid back and groaned as his spine relaxed. His full belly domed above him, moving gently up and down with each breath and you sat up, giving it a rub.
“You ate well tonight…”, you cooed, unbuckling his belt and opening his jean to access the mess he made.
He chuckled, supporting his head on an arm as he watched you with a grin. “Couldn’t help it… you serve food too good to not destroy myself on it, Darlin’.”
You shot him a look as you peeled back his damp and sticky underwear.
“Like I said, Darlin’…  you serve up a good meal.”

Thanksgiving With You
Relationship: Lee Minho x reader
Tags: Pure fluff
Summary: Your plans to go home to America for Thanksgiving are uprooted the night before you're supposed to leave. Unable to stand seeing you upset, Minho decides to take matters into his own hands and make sure you get to celebrate no matter what.
------------------------------------------
The TV was on in the shared apartment, all of the boys were laying all over the couches in various comfy positions. Legs tangled up in knots, blankets draped over different laps.
Living in the same building as one another definitely had its perks, that’s for sure. Even if everyone starts their days in their own apartments, by dinner time, everyone congregates to one.
Today, you and Minho’s apartment was the lucky winner.
When you answered a roommate ad two years ago, you didn’t know it would come with seven other men on top of that. But, you wouldn’t change anything that’s happened since then.
Felix’s head rests on Hyunjin’s lap while he plays on his phone with Changbin watching over his shoulder. Seungmin takes up two seats while Jeongin sits on the ground next to his legs. Minho is lounging in the corner seat of the couch, Chan on his left, Jisung on his right.
For the first time, they’re all silent. Each of their conversations were cut short when a news broadcast cut through the movie they were “watching”.
A female news anchor sat behind a desk looking directly into the camera.
“We interrupt your program with a breaking news report from The National Weather Service. Please be advised that there is extreme adverse weather expected to affect Seoul beginning tomorrow. All airports, roads, and businesses will remain closed starting tomorrow, November 22nd, until further notice.”
Normally, none of the boys would care about a storm. This meant time off from work, time to relax and stay inside while everyone gets some much needed rest but…
“Minho!” your voice calls out into the living room. Your roommate perks up off the couch, tearing his eyes away from the news broadcast. “Can I borrow your neck pillow? I’m going to need it for the flight. Sixteen hours on the plane is going to be killer without it.”
His jaw clenches and he looks around at the other boys on the couch who all have equally flustered expressions. They each stare at one another like deer in headlights.
“Ah,” he hums and looks around the room.
Oh, you were so excited to go home for Thanksgiving, how was he going to tell you that the airport is closed due to the incoming storm? Why does he have to be the one to break the news to you?
The news anchor continues talking about the snowstorm, predicting record levels of snowfall and high speed winds.
All month, all you could talk about was how much you missed Thanksgiving: the turkey, the parade, the pie, everything.
He didn’t really understand it.
“Minho?” You ask again when he doesn’t answer. Your figure appears in the doorway into the living room.
As soon as you stand in front of all of them, their heads snap towards you.
Your eyes widen, obviously startled. “Guys?” You ask, laughing nervously. “Why are you all looking at me like that?”
Felix moves a bit, his mouth opening to say something before the news anchor cuts him off again.
“Again, we repeat the broadcast:  Please be advised that there is extreme adverse weather expected to affect Seoul beginning tomorrow. All airports, roads, and businesses will remain closed starting tomorrow, November 22nd, until further notice.”
Your mouth drops open and you step further into the room to look at the TV.
“What?” You say to yourself, your heart dropping to your stomach. Everyone else’s does as well from your devastated tone.
Chan reaches forward with the remote, turning the volume up for you to hear.
“No, no…” you whisper.
Minho watches you, feeling his own heart break for you.
“M-Maybe I can book a flight for tonight. The storm starts tomorrow, maybe I can get out at the last minute.” You practically run back to your room, frantically looking for your phone.
All of the boys stay silent.
Apple pie this, mashed potatoes that, homemade pineapple … something. Minho couldn’t remember what you had said. You would always talk too fast when you were excited.
It only got harder for him to understand when you would go into English.
On top of all of this, you haven’t been back to America since you moved here two years ago. It was going to be your first time home.
You were just so busy when you started your new job that there was never any time to take off.
And now that you finally could? It’s falling through your fingers.
“Such a shame…” Hyunjin is the first one to break the silence. His voice carries the same sadness that they all hold on their shoulders.
Minho keeps looking down the hall where your room is, hoping to try and hear anything— any news of an earlier flight, a phone call, anything.
Only a few moments pass before Minho gets too antsy to sit still. He stands up from the couch and makes his way down the hallway.
Your door is cracked open a bit.
When he gets closer, he hears you on the phone. “N-No, you don’t understand, I was going home for the holidays— Yes… Yes I understand that everyone else is too, b-but I haven’t been home in two years.”
You sound so heartbroken, it’s physically killing him.
“There are no open seats? ….. the 5:30 flight? That’s in… that’s in ten minutes I live forty minutes away from the airport!”
Minho leans against the wall behind him, your open door to his left.
“There’s nothing else? … No, I understand. Thank you very much for your time... You as well.”
There’s a long moment of silence and a thump against your mattress.
Ten more seconds pass before he hears hiccups and sniffles coming from inside your room. That’s when Minho caves in, coming up to your door frame.
He can never withstand hearing you cry, on the rare occasions that you do.
You look so small curled up on the edge of your bed, your head in your hands. Your suitcase is open on top of your bed with various clothes and toiletries all over the place.
Your shoulders shake as you sob quietly into your hands.
A frown pulls at his face. Minho reaches up and knocks gently on the doorframe.
Your head shoots up in surprise, hands furiously wiping away the tears under your eyes.
“Oh, hey Minho!” You try to smile, but the tears won’t stop, but you continue wiping them away. “Sorry, um… I don’t think I need your neck pillow after all.”
A sob wracks your chest.
“Sorry,” you apologize again and wipe the tears some more.
His frown depends and he walks over to the bed, taking a seat directly next to you.
“You don’t need to apologize, Y/N.”
You sniffle and look down at your lap, the sleeves of your sweater coming over your hands. “It’s dumb to be this upset, I know. I was just really looking forward to Thanksgiving, you know?”
His entire side is pressed against yours. His warmth seeps into you in a comforting manner.
Minho listens to you carefully. He’s never been the best at comforting a crying person, he knows that, but he’s learned that all you ever crave when you’re upset is someone to listen.
“We have this tradition in my family, god, it’s been so long since I’ve been able to do it,” you sniffle and wipe your eyes. “We wake up around nine, and my sister and I make cinnamon rolls and watch the Macy’s parade from New York while we eat them. Then, while we get ready we watch the National dog show and ugh…”
He leans back on one of his hands placed behind you on your bed. The cogs in his brain are already turning.
Cinnamon rolls… Parade…
“God, I really missed my mom’s Pecan Pie.”
“Pecan Pie.” Minho mouths to himself. You don’t see it.
You sniffle.
“I’m so sorry, Y/N,” he whispers to you, his hand coming up to rub your back gently.
“It’s alright, there’s always Christmas. The airline said they can move my ticket without me losing money. I guess it’s better to go then.” You hum and wipe the tears off your face again.
Not knowing what else to say, Minho stays quiet, his hand continuing to rub up and down your spine.
He knows next to nothing about Thanksgiving; it’s an American holiday. All he knows are the little things he’s seen in movies: turkey, hats with buckles on them, eating until you explode.
What parade did you say? Macy’s Parade? Okay…
Minho loses track of how long you both sit there, you trying to pull yourself together while he rubs your back.
His eyes dart around the floor unfocused as he makes a mental checklist in his head. He’s definitely going to need to employ the help of the seven other men in his living room if he hopes to pull this off.
“Thank you, Minho.” Your voice pulls his attention. He looks over at your face, hand pausing between your shoulder blades.
Your eyes are red rimmed and cheeks are rosy from all your crying. A sad smile sits on your face that doesn’t meet your eyes.
“You don’t have to thank me,” he responds, getting a bit flustered under your gaze.
You move your head to rest on his shoulder, like second nature, his arm wraps around your shoulders and keeps you close.
Butterflies swirl in his stomach at the contact. Yes, you’re his roommate, but it was in the last six months or so that his heart started seeing you as so much more.
It all started with you cooking his favorite dinner when you knew he had just had one of the worst days of his life.
He had texted you around noon complaining about the rough day he was having, you consoled him shortly, and that was that.
The day had dragged on, getting worse and worse; he opened the door to your shared apartment around midnight to find you moving around the kitchen.
When he peered over your shoulder and saw his favorite meal, his heart melted.
“To cure your bad day,” you smiled at him.
He fell so hard for you, there was no coming back.
Minho turns his head to rest his chin on the crown of your hair.
“Well, I have off work; maybe I can take the day to catch up on a project without being bothered to join meetings.” You trail off.
“Or you could take the day to relax.” He chuckles.
You pause. “Nah.”
He laughs again and hugs you close.
“I better unpack everything.” You peel yourself out of his arms. Minho’s body already feels so much colder without you pressed against him.
“I’ll leave you to it.” Minho stands up from your bed and makes towards the door.
“Minho,” you grab his attention. He turns back to look at you.
You’re smiling at him again, but the sparkle is missing from your eyes.
“Thank you, really.”
“Of course, Y/N.”
Minho pulls your door closed behind him and makes his way down the hall. He has a mission and a checklist.
And he needed to get to the grocery store tonight if he wanted to pull it off.
----------------------------------------------
Three quick knocks rap against your door at 9:00 AM sharp on November 23rd.
With a disgruntled groan, you shift around in bed and pull the blankets up over your shoulder more.
After a few seconds, the door cracks open slowly, the hinges creaking loudly in the silent morning air.
A huff-like laugh forced through the invader’s nose.
Slippers pad against the carpet of your room and the mattress dips down on the side of your bed.
Gentle, warm fingers push your hair off your forehead. Your eyes squint a bit and you snuggle further into your blanket.
“Minhooo…” you whine without opening your eyes. “I have the day off, remember? I don’t need to wake up.”
“Ah,” he hums, fingers still carding through your hair. “But the parade is on.”
Your brain is still booting up. All your movements pause, your eyes snap open and you look at the man sitting on the side of your bed.
He’s in his cooking apron; the blue one you got him for his birthday last year.
“What?”
That smirk of his spreads over his face, his eyes squint the more he smiles down at you. “The parade is on, Y/N, don’t you want to watch it?”
With wide eyes, you stare at your roommate. “The.. parade? The Macy’s Day Parade?”
He hums with a beautiful, genuine smile. “I didn’t think you wanted to miss it.”
You sit up and kick the blankets off, leaping out of bed and down the hallway. Minho’s laughter follows you.
Sure enough, playing on your TV, is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, from New York City.
“Wha…” you trail off. If it’s 9 AM here… it’s only 7 PM the night before Thanksgiving in New York, how is he…?
Your eyes scan the TV to see the small graphic that displays “2022” in the corner.
He’s playing a recorded broadcast of last year's parade. A laugh of disbelief bubbles out of your chest and you whirl around to look at your roommate standing in the hallway.
“Minho!” You squeal.
“We still have to bake cinnamon rolls, come on.” He waves you to follow him to the kitchen. Your jaw drops and you can only stare at him.
Minho looks over his shoulder and sees you’re not following him. “Are you coming? I’m not baking them by myself!”
Another snort of disbelief forces its way out. Your one hand reaches over and pinches your arm.
“No, I’m awake,” you whisper to yourself.
The sound of the parade announcers talking in their thick New York accent makes you feel right at home. There was a specific sound quality of audio that comes from these events and it brings you right back to the East Coast.
Minho walks into the kitchen and you follow after him with an extra spring in your step.
———————————————
“And here comes Snoopy and his good friend Woodstock!”  The TV announcer says happily.
You take another bite of your cinnamon roll, chewing happily and watching the TV. Doongie  curled up next to you, tail swishing around.
Minho can’t decide what he wants to watch more: you or the TV. You’re positively beaming, and he hasn’t even told you the best part yet.
He scratches Soonie’s head absentmindedly.
There’s a couple knocks on the door.
“Come in!” Minho calls out.
The door creaks open. “Minho, your timer went off. I think you need to baste the turkey.”
Your head whips around to see Felix poking his head into the apartment. He makes eye contact with you and his smile brightens instantly.
“Hi, Y/N! Happy Thanksgiving!” Felix chirps from the door.
“Thank you?”
Minho stands up off the couch, “Thanks, Felix, I’ll be right over.”
“Gotcha, see you soon, Y/N!” Felix closes the door behind him.
You look up at Minho. “Turkey? You’re making a turkey?”
He stands in front of you and smiles. “I am, you can’t have Thanksgiving dinner without turkey, right?”
“You– Are we..?”
“We are. But not until after the parade, and the dog show, of course. I told everyone to come around 2:00, that works, right?”
You stare up at him, cinnamon roll still in your hand.
“Y… Yeah, that works.” You truly cannot believe your ears. Are you sure you’re not still sleeping? Do you need to pinch yourself again?
“Good, I’ll be right back.”
Minho moves past you towards the door, scratching your head a few times as he passes by. You make no move to fix your hair after he leaves.
Slowly, you take another bite of the roll, eyes spacing out watching the parade.
Inside your chest, you can feel your heart stutter and swell, heat rising to your cheeks and turning your ears red. He’s really doing so much for you, isn’t he?
----------------------------------------------
“Y/N! Come on out, Chan and Jisung are here and Jeongin needs help with the mashed potatoes!” Minho calls down the hall.
Like a kid on Christmas, you peel down the hall, adjusting the earring you’re wearing.
You’re in a black turtleneck tucked into a cute light brown pencil skirt with black tights and fuzzy socks. The most typical Thanksgiving outfit.
Your favorite jewelry adorning your body.
The four boys turn around and greet you happily. Each of them in their own fuzzy sweaters and comfy pants.
“Happy Thanksgiving!” They all say to you in unison.
“Ah, happy Thanksgiving!” You cheer back and wrap Jisung and Chan into a tight hug since they were the closest. “Thank you so much for this!”
Both of them wrap an arm around you with giddy smiles. “It was all Minho’s idea,” says Chan. “If you wanna thank anyone, thank him.”
“Or you could help, instead.” Minho teases from behind the kitchen counter, sliding over a can of cranberry sauce.
“Oh my god!” You squeal and come around to grab it. “Where did you find this? I didn’t think any stores in Korea sold this!”
Minho hums happily and stirs a pot on the stove. “There’s an American store a few blocks away. It’s where I got most of the groceries for today.”
A timer beeps at the same time the door swings open.
“Hot bird coming through!” Felix calls into the room. “I have a turkey too!”
Everyone gives Felix a pity laugh as briskly walks towards the kitchen and places the cooked turkey onto the counter. The smell that wafts through the house is heavenly.
Jisung hands you a glass of sangria with a wink. You clink glasses and take a small sip.
Changbin walks through the door after Felix, holding a stack of about three pies in one hand and a bottle of wine in the other.
“Happy Thanksgiving!” he calls inside as he kicks his shoes off.
Everyone responds with the same greeting.
“Minho, where do you want desserts?”
“Just put them on the side by the main table for now!”
There’s more hustle and bustle next to you while Jisung attempts to use the can opener for the cranberry sauce.
“Y/N, could you help me? I don’t think I’ve ever made mashed potatoes before…” Jeongin trails off in front of a pot of boiled potatoes.
You beam at him and skip over to his side. “I absolutely can, it’s a lot easier than you think!”
Chan walks over to the living area with the couches.
“What do you usually have on the TV at home?” he calls in to you.
You’re dumping all of the potatoes into a mixing bowl while you answer him. “Typically, my dad commandeers the TV and has football playing all day, but I really don’t want to watch old football reruns.”
Jeongin watches over your shoulder as you shake the bowl to settle the potatoes. “Could you grab the butter and milk from the fridge?” You ask him and he nods and walks off.
Seungmin comes in with Hyunjin, both of them holding trays of food.
You greet the two of them happily.
While Jeongin is gathering the ingredients from the fridge, you take a moment to look around at all of the boys in your apartment.
They must have looked up ‘What to wear to Thanksgiving’; each of them is in a sweater and dress pants. Some of them have turtlenecks underneath the sweater, some don’t, but they all look like the same font as one another.
“What can I do to help?” Seungmin asks, him and Hyunjin further crowding the kitchen.
“Go set the table with Hyunjin.” Minho points to the long dining room table, shooing them out of the already small space. Plates, napkins, forks, knives, glasses– everything you can think of, is placed on the corner of the table in stacks and piles.
“I’ll help too!” Felix chirps and makes his way over with the two men.
“Y/N!” Changbin calls your attention. Both him and Chan have beer bottles in their hands, bodies facing the TV. The two of them look like dads with the way they’re standing. “What about a Christmas movie? Is that allowed on Thanksgiving?”
Jeongin plops the milk and butter on the counter next to you.
You call back into the living room. “Yeah, that’s fine! But make it a good one– a classic! Oh! What about Christmas Vacation? That’s my favorite!”
“I’ll find it, don’t worry!” Chan responds.
Another timer beeps, Minho opens the oven and pulls out a tray full of fresh rolls. Jisung finally wrestles the can of cranberry sauce open.
Your heart grows three sizes.
“Ten more minutes on the Pineapple Bake.” Minho says to himself but you hear it.
Your head snaps around so fast it might tumble off your shoulders. “Pineapple Bake? You made Pineapple Bake?”
A flush crawls up Minho’s neck to his ears when he turns and meets your sparkly eyes.
“You had mentioned it…” he trails off and finds something else on the counter to fidget with.
“How did you get the recipe?”
“Ah, well,” he rubs the back of his neck nervously. “I have your mother’s number from when you first moved in and all.”
“You texted my mom?”
“Is that alright?”
The hustle and bustle of the seven other bodies around your apartment fades into the background. Even with Jeongin standing directly next to you, he seems to disappear.
“You texted my mom and asked for her Pineapple Bake recipe?” You choke out again, your eyebrows raising, lips parting in an emotionally shocked expression.
Minho visibly gets a bit more nervous at your repeated question. His jaw clenches and he plays with the tie of the apron. “Did I overstep?”
Without any warning, you cross the few steps of the kitchen towards him and throw your arms around your roommate, burying your face into his shoulder. Small tears of joy well in the corners of your eyes, throat constricting with so many emotions.
After a moment of hesitation, Minho wraps his arms around you and rests his cheek on top of your hair.
“Thank you, Minho,” you whisper to him, squeezing him even tighter.
Minho’s shoulders visibly react from your hug, relaxing from the tension of the past few moments.
He smells like the holidays, the softness of his sweater is so comforting against your cheek. You just want to bury your nose in it and drown in the scent.
“This means so much to me.” Your words are so sincere, he could cry from hearing them. His arms tighten around you, eyes closing to relish in your hold.
He basks in it. Despite a third timer screaming in his ear, he continues to hold you like if he let go, you would disappear forever.
Having you in his arms like this has always been the equivalent of drinking warm tea before bed. It sends a wave of comfort and safety through his entire being.
The timer continues to beep.
“You can thank me after you eat.”
You giggle, any sadness he’s ever felt disappears for a split second.
Hyunjin calls into this kitchen. “Can you please turn that thing off before I go insane?”
Minho sighs, the air blowing into your hair. He keeps you close for a few more heartbeats before letting go.
“It’s time for dinner anyway.”
----------------------------------------------
Everyone was quiet, the TV still playing Christmas movies in the background. The streaming service that Chan had put on had autoplayed movie after movie while you ate dinner and then dessert.
The last surprise Minho had for you was that he also had asked your mother for her Pecan Pie recipe two nights ago.
Everything about today left you floored and speechless. Your heart has never felt this full in your life.
All eight of them sat around the table looking uncomfortably full. The table that was once filled with every side dish known to Thanksgiving enjoyers, every dessert you could dream of, was now littered with empty dishes.
“We should just be thankful for being together. I think that’s what they mean by Thanksgiving, Charlie Brown.” Marcie’s animated voice rings through the apartment.
Again, your throat tightens up with so many happy emotions, you clench your jaw to keep them down.
From directly next to you, Minho must’ve noticed your expression, his hand reaching under the table and resting on your knee, squeezing it once to comfort you.
You look over at him.
His heart catches in his chest.
There’s that sparkle in your eyes. The one that disappeared two nights ago, he got it back. His entire face softens as he stares at you as if you hung the moon and vice versa.
“I need a nap,” Felix groans from his chair.
You hum and look over at him. He’s slumped in his seat, head back, eyes closed.
“That’s the best part of Thanksgiving, sleeping with a full stomach.” You tell him.
“Full is an understatement.” Jeongin adds.
“I think I found a new favorite holiday…” Changbin trails off.
“Ditto,” adds Chan.
“Yeah? Well maybe we can have a Friendsgiving next year and do it all over again.” You tell the table.
Minho groans. “I’ll need more help next time, then!”
Everyone grunts in agreement.
You reach under the table and take a hold of Minho’s hand still on your leg. Your fingers wind together and you beam at him again with that dazzling smile.
“I would do anything to do this again.”
----------------------------------------------
“I still can’t believe they took that many leftovers,” Minho mutters, dipping the sponge in the sink.
“I can’t believe we had that many leftovers.” You dry a dish with the towel and place it on the other clean ones.
The exhaustion from eating is still heavy in your bones; but both you and Minho decided it was better to get all the washing out of the way so that you could just relax for the rest of the night.
It felt like you’ve been washing dishes for hours.
Soft twinkling of Christmas music plays through the speakers of the TV from the movie.
“Minho?” You ask suddenly, your voice is a bit weak and unconfident.
He looks over at you with his undivided attention, one eyebrow raised.
“There’s one more Thanksgiving tradition I didn’t tell you about.”
His eyebrows furrow more and he puts the dish down in the sink full of sudsy water. “What is it?”
Smiling, you put the towel down.
“Will you dance to Christmas music with me? To ring in the Holiday Season.”
Minho’s taken aback for a moment, he laughs– almost in disbelief. “Really?”
You bite your lip nervously, nodding once.
With a playful smile, he grabs the towel and dries his hands. “You want to dance? We can dance, Y/N.”
Squealing, you happily skip to the living room. “Alexa, play Christmas music!” You call out and she immediately begins to play music at the perfect volume.
Frank Sinatra’s ‘I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm’ plays through the speaker. The happy saxophones and trumpets blare and your spirits lift even more than you thought they could.
You bounce on your heels to the beat a few times, swaying with the rhythm in a silly way.
When you turn around, you see Minho stepping towards you to the beat. One of the happiest looks ever on his face. His hair still slightly styled from this morning, just a bit more relaxed as the day went on.
His sweater is so cozy with a black turtleneck underneath, heather gray dress pants on the bottom. Lee Minho looks like the Holidays wrapped up in a warm, cable knit package, and he’s currently dancing towards you.
Once he is up on you, he takes your one hand and places the other on your waist. Both of you look like absolute goof balls, swaying and bobbing to the rhythm of Frank Sinatra in your living room.
The scent of Thanksgiving dinner still hangs in the air; the warmth from the ovens and stove hasn’t faded one bit.
Minho leads you all around the living room in a beautifully clumsy dance. The smiles on your faces never drop, even for a moment. They only grow with each giggle passed from one to another.
His eyes stay locked with yours the entire time. Nothing could interrupt your moment,
You mouth the lyrics to him; it’s English, so he’s not really able to keep up as much. But the emotion is there. And just the idea that you’re singing to him makes his heart soar.
“What do I care how much it may storm,” you sing, “I’ve got my love to keep me warm.”
Minho spins you around, you squeal with happiness with your arm above your head. He brings you back in and grabs your waist with both hands, lifting you into the air and twirling more as the music swells. You place both of your hands on his shoulders for balance.
He gently places you back on the ground, the song ending and fading into the next one.
Michael Buble’s ‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas’ follows it up. The rhythm of the song slows down the energy in the room dramatically.
Neither you nor Minho let go of one another. Instead of backing away, the two of you step even closer. Your arms wind around his neck, his hands interlock on your lower back.
Your eyes look all around his perfect face, meanwhile his stay locked on your eyes. He’s so enchanted by you, it feels like you placed him under some sort of spell.
If he could, Minho would do this entire day over and over again until he died, just to see this beautiful look in your eye each time, to hear your glee filled laughter after each surprise.
Instead of moving around the room, the two of you simply sway side to side in time with the beat of the song. Minho spins the two of you very slowly in place.
A beautiful, festive, Christmas bubble begins forming around the two of you.
“I cannot even begin to tell you how much today meant to me, Minho.” You break the silence between the two of you.
He chuckles. “I’m glad I was able to do it for you, Y/N. I don’t think I’ve ever run to the store that fast in my life.”
Mirroring him, you laugh softly. “I can only imagine what you looked like trying to get everything together.”
He moves his head side to side. “I had a lot of help.”
You shake your head. “This was quite possibly the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me.”
“You deserve it.”
Another laugh from you. He just watches you. He watches each emotion cross your face with such admiration, with such a fond, sweet gaze, it could rot your teeth.
Piano keys tinkle in the music. Michael Buble’s smooth voice wrapping around your private bubble.
“I am endlessly thankful for you, Lee Minho.”
His gaze softens even more.
You’re his soft spot. You– beautiful, wonderful, joyous you– are Lee Minho’s weak point.
Slowly, the swaying to the song begins to slow down as you both get lost within one another. Everything about the scene was like a movie, down to the storm swelling outside your window.
Minho’s eyes flicker down to your lips for a split second.
You grin. His heart thuds in his chest.
“I don’t suppose you got any mistletoe?” you ask cheekily.
His eyes widen for a second, but he quickly catches on to your joke. “That wasn’t on any of the Thanksgiving websites I found.”
“Oh well.”
Without another word, and with the goofiest of grins on both of your faces, you pull Minho in for a kiss.
His entire world stops when his lips meet yours, everything pauses and the only thing that exists is you. Nothing else matters except for the girl in his arms.
The world could end right now and he would be the happiest man on Earth.
Both of his arms tighten around you, one hand comes up to cup your cheek, cradling it softly.
Your arms around his neck bring him even closer to you.
His kiss is everything, it’s sugar cookies rising in the oven, it’s a sunrise on the beach, it’s waking up to the smell of cinnamon rolls on Thanksgiving– everything.
It’s everything you’ve always needed. He is everything you’ve always needed.
Eventually, the two of you pull away from one another, but not without a last few stolen pecks on the other’s lips.
The kisses end up short, you both keep smiling and pulling away, too happy to continue.
Minho keeps his eyes closed, his thumb brushes over your cheekbone. “I think I have a new favorite holiday.” Another peck to your lips.
You giggle and kiss him again and again, “Me too, Lee Minho.”
