Hoxton cos-test!
Finally got a suit for him. Thrifted of course. Unfortunately the pants don't fit the greatest, just a couple inches too small in the waist. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out how to let the waist out a little so it'll fit better
#I would've tried the pants on at the thrift store; except they don't have fitting rooms anymore!!!#I'm debating between trying to sew the seem allowance on the back and sides a little looser than what they were originally stitched at-#or just cutting the sides open to add a little extra fabric#the pants are quite long; so if I hem them; I can use the extra fabric to widen the waist#unfortunately I am not the most skilled seamster on the planet#so it may very well be easier to either just exchange the suit for something else; or get it professionally tailored#the suit is actually blue; but my lighting sucks haha#I had another more normal looking picture; but unfortunately it came out blurry#so instead we get finger guns 👉#Hoxton payday 2#Hoxton cosplay#payday 2#PD2#payday cosplay

I've been sitting on this pattern and tutorial for a while now! so time to finally share it with you! I was lamenting that the jellycat pip and sugar mice were long retired and difficult to get your hands on unless you are willing to pay much more than they retailed for each mouse, so i decided to try and eyeball a pattern and make some myself! they're not exact as i only used constructed visual references but they're close! please note that this pattern set is intended for personal use only. Rough tutorial under the cut!
This pattern is for printing onto A4 but you can check your scale with the measurements I've provided or just play around with how big or small you want to try and make them! i didn't really get any wip photos of pip mouse but it's method is largely the same with the nose being the major change, which i will detail in text in the instructions below.
for sugar mouse i would recommend using polar fleece as it will act the right way for the ears to do their squishy marshmallow looking thing. but minky should also work or other similar fabrics! for pip mouse if you can find a similar curly looking fabric with a thin backing that'll be ideal but fleece will also work well, you just wont get the furry texture, you want a fabric with a little bit of stretch to it. i however would not recommend fabrics like felt or non stretch cotton for these guys as it's likely to not take shape the same as there's no give to the fabric.
once you have printed out the pattern and cut the pieces in your fabric, you'll want to sew the ears up and turn them inside out, then put them aside for later. just leave them as is for now but here you can see i was playing around with pinching the turned through ear into shape.
Then moving on, sew the back pieces together along the spine and front of face. you then want pull the bottom open ends apart gently and place the open sides flat up against the base piece so that they're aligned, it can be good to pin this in place so it doesn't shift.
then, get your tail rope, and tie a knot at either end, placing the base of it inbetween the seam at the butt so that it'll sit in the right place, then sew the seam up directly with the tail in place, make sure you sew through the rope to secure it and make sure it doesnt shift. Sew around the bases seam leaving a hole in one side so that you can then turn your mouse through.
once turned through you will want to stuff your mouse with polyfill quite a bit so it takes shape! i like to put weighted beans in mine for extra effect, you can use dried rice or wheat too, just sew a little circle pouch a bit smaller that the mouses base with scrap fabric and fill and seal! then insert into the turning hole while you stuff. once stuffing is done you can sew the hole up with a ladder stitch. the weight from the beads will allow your mouse to sit up quite well.
next you will want to get those ears you put aside, take each corner and bring the ends together in the middle. then sew them gently together at the ends with one or two stitches in about the same spot. you want them to look 3d so dont sew the ends to the back of the ear, just end to end so they meet in the center.
Then pin the ears in place on the head
then you need to ladder stitch the ears in place while they're pinned so they dont shift around, go all the way around the outside edge of each.
now you're almost done! next they just need a face! sugar mouse only needs embroidery by way of a french knot for both the eyes and nose (you can find good video tutorials on how to sew a french knot online), pip mouse will also need a french knot for the eyes but has a separate process for it's nose. (for the pip mouses nose you will need to leave the marked nose hole open and then stitch the nose fabric to the square nose backing in line with the dotted direction on the pattern, (it should look kind of baggy when it's unstuffed) sew it up completley with no hole, then cut a tiny slit in the backing and add polyfill there before closing with a basic stitch, then you ladder stitch the nose directly to the marked nose hole)
in order to hide the embroidery anchor knots i find the best way is to start by going down through the middle of the ears and then coming back up where you want the eye to be, and then going back down and up through the ear for the finishing knot, as it creates a very easy cover for them and looks nice and clean!
then you have yourself a little buddy!
haha they're great to squish! if you use this pattern i'd love to see your results!

It's Not Enough: Captain John Price x Reader
(sorry for vanishing I am mentally unwell)
An injury leaves the Task Force's Captain unable to do all that he usually does. You're more than happy to help.
NSFW 18+
➔ gn!reader ("you"/"your" pronouns, described as "pretty" once), Price is readers boss, pillow fucking, desperate almost subby Price
unedited, written on mobile in Spanish class
part two
It wasn't fair to say that the mission went south. It's not like the Task Force failed it or anything. You guys secured the intel you needed and cleared the base no problem.
Except there was a problem. Your intel on the enemy operation had been spotty and it turns out the enemy was more prepared than you all had been lead to thought.
Sitting silently in the back of the truck you all quietly lick your wounds. Soap had been stabbed, "'tis just a scratch," he had announced before taking out three men with an improved explosive. (Ghost hit him for that one) (the Shakespeare reference. Not the bomb). Gaz and Ghost both were shot, the former in the knee and the latter, grazed on the neck by a bullet that very well could have killed him. You got a little too close to a grenade and now your ears are ringing and you're covered cuts and scrapes from the shrapnel, bits of metal still embedded in your skin.
Price got it the worst though. One of the enemy soldiers managed to sneak up on him. This hulking, unit of a man who made Ghost, Ghost, look like a gangly teen.
You always wondered how Ghost, being as big as he is, could move so quietly so quickly. This enemy soldier made you think that maybe you were just loud and slow.
Not a single person realized that the soldier was there until it was too late. He tackled Price, knocking the gun from his hands then threw him, literally threw him, like a doll, over the catwalk ledge.
Price was lucky though, in a sense, because he crashed to the ground close enough to you and Gaz that you could provide him cover.
He was unlucky, or maybe just stupid, because he tried to catch his fall. His fall from three stories up.
With his hands.
Never have you heard bones snap so loud.
You glance across the truck at him. He's breathing slowly and deliberately, self-soothing. His hands resting on his thighs, fingers twitching occasionally, but otherwise motionless.
"Hey, look on the bright side, Captain," you say with a crooked grin, blinking away the blood dripping from a gash above your eye. "At least you won't have to do any paperwork for a while."
"Won't be able to jack off either," Soap adds with a crow of laughter. "Poor lil John's gonnae be black and blue... Won't even be able to feel the pain in yer hands over the straining of your–"
"That'll do!" Ghost snaps, ever the one to keep Soap in line.
It's quiet for the rest of the way back to base. It's quiet as you all head to medical for treatment. You're all drained, happy with a job well done, but exhausted from, well, everything.
Tired and sore, you decide to forgo dinner in order to catch some extra sleep. You're walking through the halls when you pass by Price's office.
The door is cracked open, which is unusual, and a rhythmic sound tumbles out into the hallway. A blend between panting and grunting.
He groans out a frustrated, "Fucking... Ah... Fucking hell!"
"Captain?" You ask hesitantly, knocking on the door. You hear shuffling inside, the rustling of cloth, soft jingle of metal. "I, uh... Everything okay?"
"Everything's fine," he grits out, breathless and frustrated. "I'm just..." More rustling. "Fuck!"
"Can I come in?" You ask, already opening the door.
He doesn't say no. In fact, he doesn't say anything. Until you've got the door open and are left staring at the scene before you.
"I didn't want anyone seeing me like this..." He grumbles.
He's standing behind his desk, both hands and forearms in casts. He's struggling with a zip up hoodie, tangled in the fabric as he tries to put it on.
You fight back the urge to laugh and succeed. You fight back the urge to smile and fail. "Want some help with that, Captain?"
"Please."
This continues for the duration of his injury, him coming to you for help with tasks he can't do himself. For as long as he's in those casts, you're at his beck and call.
It's not uncommon for you to be called away from some mundane task to help the Captain with something equally mundane. But hey, at least you get to spend time with your Captain.
Your handsome, rugged, often flushed as of late, Captain.
You're captain whose casts you've wrapped before he can shower. Whose shirts you've helped put on. Whose hair you've brushed. Beard you've combed. Whose-
You keep having to tell yourself that this doesn't mean anything. The only reason he comes to you and no one else is because, well, he doesn't want anyone else seeing him like this.
So what if he blushes when you help secure his belt around his hips? Or when your fingers graze his neck as you button his collar. So what if once or twice while youve helped him dress your hand has brushed his cock (and oh, it's big), and it's jumped to attention. It's a natural reaction, really. Price never even mentions it. He's probably embarrassed. Ashamed. Nothing more to it.
But what if...?
No. You tell yourself sternly. Bad. That's your boss.
But...
He has been calling on you more. Has been standing closer. Leaning in when you speak. Burying his nose into your hair before you leave his room and inhaling through his nose, then shutting the door on you, leaving you a little dazed and more than a little confused in the hall.
Still. It doesn't mean anything. You've just never spent this much time with him. Maybe this is normal.
You're in the armory with Soap and Gaz when your phone goes off in your pocket. Price is calling.
"Captain?" You ask, holding the phone between your shoulder and ear as you continue to clean your rifle. "Everything okay?"
"I know I told you I wouldn't need anything until later, but I... I need your help," he says, his voice gruff and rumbling. "Now."
Soap mimes a blow job and Gaz snickers, shouldering him playfully.
"Could have called anyone, Captain," Soap calls out loud enough for Price to hear through the phone. "What is it you need help with that only our pretty little Corporal can do? Hmm?"
"Shut up, Soap," Price grumbles.
"Captain says to shut up, Johnny," you relay to Soap. He laughs.
"I need your help," Price repeats, his breath stuttering slightly.
"Alright," you say, setting the rifle down. "What with?"
"I'm..." his words are cut off by a groan and the sound of shuffling, followed by something clattering to the floor. "Fuck... I'm trying to..." He pauses, breathing heavy. "Tryna trim my beard and I.. Just get over here quick."
"Aye, sir. I'll be in your office soon."
"Not my office. My quarters."
You pause, holding the phone properly now. "I... Your quarters, Captain?"
Soap snickers, and thrusts his hips into the air a couple times. You flip him off.
"Yes," he says. "It's where I keep my products."
"Right, of course," you shake your head. "I'll be there as soon as I can."
"Good," he says, letting out a breathy sound through his nose. "I can't deal with this any longer..."
"Your beard has gotten scruffy," you muse.
"I... Just... Hurry." He hangs up.
"Getting out of work early again, huh?" Gaz asks with a grin. "Or should I say getting off work early?"
"Not you too," you whine, flipping the pair of them off as you leave the room.
You don't catch what Soap says, his words muffled by his accent and the closing door. Judging by the raucous laughter that breaks out when he's done, you figure that might be for the best.
You get to Price's room and knock, waiting a beat before turning the knob. "Hey, Captain, just a heads up, I've never actually trimmed a beard before but I–"
You stare at the scene before you with wide eyes, blood rushes to your cheeks as your jaw drops.
"Close the door," Price grunts, staring up at you from his place on the bed. On his knees, forearms braced against the mattress, his face red, jaw slack as he lets out rhythmic pants and groans.
You don't dwell on it. Instead, your attention is drawn to the clumsy, desperate movement of his hips as he ruts desperately against his pillow. His pillow which is covered in... Is that one of your workout shirts?
"I... Captain?!" You squeak in surprise, taking a slight step back.
"Soap was right," he grumbles, humping and grinding and moaning into the pillow. Into your shirt. Your shirt. This is happening. This is real. Price inhales deeply through his nose, his tongue lolling out. "Haven't... Haven't been able to... It's... I... It hurts, i... I thought this would... it worked before but i... It's not... not enough, I.. Help... Please."
Slowly, hesitantly, you shut and lock the door behind you. "Oh, so you've done this before?" You quirk a brow as you approach his bed. "Fucked into your pillow like a desperate whore thinking it was me?"
He whines, actually whines, and his hips falter for a second before speeding up. With each forward stroke of his hips you can catch a glimpse of his cock. Thick and red and painfully hard, dripping so much precum it looks like he's already cum before you got here. "Don't... Don't tease me, Corporal... Don't forget who's in charge here."
"Seems to me, Captain, that I'm the one in charge here," you hum, slowly kneeling on the bed. He looks up at you through his sweaty fringe, his breaths hot and wet when they fan against your skin. "I mean, you're the one who needs help, after all... You're the one whose job could be on the line... I doubt the higher ups would be thrilled to find you like this, all backed up and desperate for one of your soldiers?"
His eyelids flutter, he bites his lips muffling a growl that crescendos into a moan when you cradle his face. "Stop, I... I just... It hurts..."
"I'm sure it does," you hum sympathetically, running a hand through his hair. "Been too long, hasn't it?"
He keens and leans into your touch, drool dribbles from his lips. "I... Weeks, may, ah, maybe a month... Or longer... I-I need it... Please."
"Well, that just won't do," you tut, shaking your head in mock sympathy. You tighten your grip on his hair and he bows, arching his back like it's his job. "Just look at you, Captain..."
He whines and you shush him gently, hand sliding from his hair to cup his jaw and chin, forcing him to look up at you. "Don't worry, Captain... I plan to do a lot more than just stare..."

How to build your first fursuit head for ~$100 USD (2023)
What’s good furries? I’m sure a lot of you have a fursona and want to make your first fursuit. I recommend starting with a partial just in case you mess up or fall out of the hobby. It’s also less expensive!
This tutorial will only cover the head. I haven’t made any of the other stuff and I’m probably going to buy it online premade because I’m lazy.
1.) Have a reference sheet for your fursona.
If you are an artist, draw (the best you can) a reference sheet of your fursona from the front, side, and back. I made a little turnaround animation for mine, but this is not necessary.
Not an artist? Don’t want to draw? Commission someone to do it for you. I recommend Etsy, but you can find furry artists with open commissions all over the internet.
No money for commissions? You might be out of luck. Ask a friend or draw it the best you can. Alternatively, you can edit someone else’s fursona reference sheet to make it look like your fursona. Yeah, it’s stealing. Just don’t post it and act like it’s yours 👍
You can also go into the Roblox game, Catalogue Avatar Creator, and assemble something that looks kind of like your fursona. Take a screenshot of it from the front, side, and back, then go into a photo editor (I recommend IbisPaint or MediBang Paint, they are both free) and add in your special details.
I recommend not making your first fursuit super complicated or some kind of rare species. But you do you. It will just be really hard.
Also determine what style of fursuit you want. Toony? Kemono? Realistic? (I don’t recommend realistic for your first fursuit but you do you). This will be important later.
2.) Find Shit to Build It With
Once again, I recommend Etsy. You’ll need:
+ all the fur colors you need (try 2-3)
+ eye mesh
+ 3D printed mask
+ hot glue gun and hot glue sticks (dollar store)
+ needle and thread (dollar store or Walmart)
+ balaclava
+ styrofoam head
+ fabric scissors
+ extra foam pieces for ears or horns
Assemble all of that. It should be around $80-120 USD.
Your 3D printed mask is the most important thing. Another reason to get a relatively common species. Mine was a dragon. Remember the fursuit style you picked earlier? Search on etsy “3d printed [style] [species] furry mask” and you should be able to find one. You can also get pre-made foam heads. I don’t recommend trying to make your own head base, because A) it’s hard and B) those materials cost more money.
This shit will take a while to come in so don’t get too excited about it. My mask took like a month because it came from Germany.
3.) Mark the Color Spots on your Head Base
Basically just take a sharpie and outline the different color regions on your headbase. You can also use a pencil if you’re a pussy /j
4.) Uhhhh Eyeball That Fabric Pattern and Hot Glue the Pieces to Your Headbase
Some people use duct tape to make a pattern. That did not work for me! So I eyeballed it. Made some mistakes. That’s okay.
5.) Trim Down the Fur Length
Most people use clippers for this but I didn’t want to buy any and I didn’t know how to use them so I did it VERY CAREFULLY with scissors.
6.) Fill in the Cracks Between Your Hot Glue Seams With Loose Fur
Look at all this damn fur on the floor! If only there was something to do with it!
Put hot glue between the super visible seams where you hotglued different pieces of fabric next to each other, then pack in some of that loose fur. Cut it down if it’s too long. The seams will be less visible.
7.) Hot Glue the Eye Mesh Behind the Eye Holes
VERY CAREFULLY hot glue this so your character isn’t cross-eyed. You can try follow-me eyes but I didn’t do that with mine.
8.) Add Your Extra Details
You know like whiskers or plastic teeth or a tongue or anything else you want to put on there.
Now you’re done with the mask part.
9.) CAREFULLY Hot Glue Your Balaclava to the Inside of the Mask
The eye hole should be where your eye mesh is so that you can see out. Also make sure some of the balaclava is glued to the top of the mask.
10.) Weigh Down Your Styrofoam Head With a Heavy Rock
Or put it on a stand. Or hot glue it to the table. Whatever works.
11.) Put the Balaclava that you Glued to the Mask on the Styrofoam Head
Pretty simple. The reason we weighed down the styrofoam head is because the front of your mask will be heavy and make it fall over while you’re trying to work.
12.) ????? Put Fur On the Balaclava
You’ll also need to like add some fur connecting the sides of the mask to the balaclava. Hard to explain. You’ll probably figure it out?
13.) Trim that Fur and Put the Trimmings in the Seams Like Before
14.) Take it off of the Styrofoam Head
You may need to cut a slit in the back of the neck of your fursuit head. Not only will it help get the styrofoam head out, now your head can get in and out too!
15.) Put it on
Edit it if something is wrong. It might feel crooked but it’s probably not.
16.) Enjoy!
Hopefully this was helpful! This is how made mine.

TADC Jax Cosplay Process and Con Experience !
Hello !! Thought I'd post a little journal/process thing for a Jax cosplay I've done recently! I wouldn't call this a step-by-step tutorial as many of this was trial and error, along with much improvisation (I also didnt plan on doing this so there are few actual process images haha). This was a lot of fun and I hope someone can get something out of this !
MAKING THE OVERALLS
So as this was my first time sewing anything, a couple blunders were made. First I definitely shoulda bought this fabric a metre longer than i did. As a result after cutting it in half to create the two sides, I realised it was gonna be way too short going up the chest. So after sewing the two sides together I ended up with some oversized clown pants, that also happened to be super skinny in the legs as I may have eyballed cutting the inseam lol. Drop crotch realness was in full effect.
I followed this tutorial on how to make the base of my overalls, her very "eh, let's go for it" attitude was massively helpful in making this first sewing attempt less daunting
youtube
So...with limited fabric and with no immediate desire to buy another metre from Hobbycraft, I knew there was only one thing to do...
And that was slapping some leftover scrap on top lol. After that all I had to do was sew the straps on both sides and I had some (just about) wearable, non-adjustable overalls ! The colour is different as I had dyed it in Rit Dyemore super pink after sewing.
Now because I was adding this extra scrap on top after sewing the base, I wasnt able to do flat measurements to see if this scrap would actually go all the way around. Rather than taking more time to properly pin the two parts together and getting a proper look. My impatient brain said %$!# no and just pinned parts of it as i sewed, making it less finicky, but not realising that the scrap was too short. Luckily, pulling that empty space together and sewing it resulted in a fit that was almost perfect for my body, as i wanted it to be form fitting anyway. So remember kids, being impatient works out every time :)
The last details I had to do (other than hot glueing some yellow foam buttons to the straps) was add the chest patch and inside leg sleeves at the bottom. Using the original colour fabric was perfect for these two parts (I swear it looks pinker irl). For the chest patch I just folded some scrap together and top stiched around the edges, leaving the top edge open as convenient phone/card storage for Con. I didn't trust myself to not bind the back and front of the overalls together while sewing it on, so I just used hot glue and slapped in on there. The leg sleeves were even easier, sewing some more scrap around then binding the exposed edges with hot glue.
MAKING THE HEAD
So I had no idea how the head was gonna turn out, my only cosplay head experience prior was my first attempt at Jax last October of which I used painted foam card. Minecraft lookin ass
I knew going in that I wanted to do it fursuit head style, starting with a foam bucket helmet and hot glueing extra foam to the sides to create the skeleton of the head. Goated foam head tutorial by Skyehigh Studios was used for this
youtube
Attaching some half moon foam cut outs to each side of the head, doubling them up for stronger support, then adding some shorter half moons next to each eye hole, I was able to get the oval shape that jax has going on.
I measured around the head between the two half moon cuts on each side, then hot glued two pieces of fleece fabric on the front and back. For UK peeps I'd reccommend poundfabrics.co.uk, really affordable and arrived super quick, which was good since i left buying the fleece about a week before con (oops)
Now here's where I probably shoulda done more pre-measurements and sewed the top part of the fleece on with the side parts, so I could simply slip the thing on the foam skeleton like a beanie. Well, caveman brain got the better of me and just hot glued the underside of the fleece parts together. It was uneven, several holes remained and I burned my fingers, but gosh darn was that there three fleece patches glued together on them there.
Finally, at 2am the night before con I added the ears. I was initially concerned as I had underestimated how the weight of the foam would react to flopping around on the head, which made for some vry droopy ears. To make em more straight, but still keep the flop, I stuck some large cocktail sticks I had lying around about half way up the ears. This still allowed for flop behaviour, but stayed mostly upright while wearing them. After wrapping the fleece around and hotglueing them down in two gaps I had made, the head was officially done !
MAKING THE TOP
For my first time making a top, I followed this Youtube tutorial that went the most simple route I could find, taking one of my long sleeve tops, leaving about 1 cm seam allowance and cutting out two parts each for the top and sleeves.
So, as I was still getting used to using a sewing machine, I had managed to jam the needle multiple times when sewing together the base of the top, ruining almost all the spare needles I had. Upon viewing a tutorial on how not to jam your machine, I realised I had been doing the first three points she made, consistently lol. In the moment and since it was the last day, I didnt want to take risks and simply hotglued that bad boy down.
CON EXPERIENCE
So embarking to the first day of MCM London I immediately realised how awkward the overalls were gonna be to wear, I had to wear them as high and tight as i could otherwise it was gonna look like I had comically short legs. This meant that the thigh area was gonna be fairly uncomfortable when moving and would have to take the straps off and shift everything down if I wanted to sit. Aaaaaand about an hour into the first day, the enevitable rip occurred
Thankfully the rip was probably in the most inconspictuous place possible so i didn't really care lol. But any other fears of more rips, or the ears giving out in the wind were nonexistent with the great time I had meeting people. A big highlight was the very first person who came up to me who was actively looking for digital circus cosplays and HAD CUSTOM POKEMON CARDS THEY WERE GIVING OUT TO THEM.
So cute, made my day T_T, shoutouts to milskellyfox for the card. So yeah met a ton of cool people and everything held together for the whole 3 days, including the ears which I was most spooked about lol. Can't wait to start work on the next costumes for October's Comic-Con!

Tainted Opal (Part 2)
Kaz Brekker x fem!reader
Part 1
2 - Hand-stitched Crimson Roses
T/Ws: violence, romantic feelings, blood, mild spice scenes sometimes, fem!reader and she/her pronouns, sexual abuse/trauma (not explicit)
Synopsis: You meet up with Kaz for a meeting on the down-low at the Crow Club, but your vulnerability slips.
REQUESTS: OPEN✅
____________________________________________
As I reached the alleyway from earlier that night, my eyes fell upon a figure. They seemed to materialize from nothing.
"Hello," I greeted her with a small smile, my eyes sultry and enticing. I made note of her features, making it easier to notice her in the future. Her eyes were dark, with flecks of deep brown, like shards of tinted glass. A deep blue cloth wrapped around her head and face, but her sleek, black hair poured down her back. Her caramel skin glinted in the moonlight, but the light reflected more off of her numerous knives that were pocketed in her clothes.
"I assumed Brekker would not come himself, smart move," I added while the woman stared at me. "I have the money, darling." With a few swipes of my hands my dress's many layers warped into a large purse, strapped to my belted waist.
"You're a tailor," the woman whispered, her gaze as piercing as her knives. I handed her the embroidered purse. Mouse skeletons and crimson roses were stitched onto the fabric.
As I began to alter my dress once more, the girl vanished. I looked up in surprise, but it was quickly replaced by appreciation. I always admire a woman of her craft. My eyes dropped to the dirty stone path under me, a paper lay where the girl had stood. My joints cracked as I kneeled down to grab the note.
The Crow Club; 2 a.m. sharp
"Well, these meeting sure are getting tiresome," I mumble, making my way back to my estate. I knew I'd need to pack, assuming my deal is accepted.
I make it to the front steps of my home where large, ornate doors greet me. I've made a name for myself, it's hard to believe that three years ago I was-
"Well, a little lady is here....all alone, missy?" My thoughts are cut off by the slurred speech of a middle-aged man. He stumbles over to me, reeking of alcohol and grease. I narrow my eyes, frustrated. Saints damn it all. My eyes become inviting, my smile sweetening the deal, I look so innocent. I look my age now.
"Oh? Well I guess I am all alone," I add in an extra laugh to really tie the act together. I saunter a bit closer to the drunken man, picking up my dress to reveal my ankles. Though I really just don't want this skirt to get wet from rain-soaked pathways. Men like this will believe anything if you play the part. I get to keep some morality, even if I live in a place like Ketterdam, so I play the age old card, "Though, sir, I am only seventeen, so I should get going-"
"Little missy, that's even better, I like my women young... and unused," his grin shows his disgusting teeth, while his hands reach out to grab my wrist. I've given up trying to reason with men like this. Attempting to give them a second chance. I unsheathe my floral umbrella from my dress, as it's a gown full of surprises, and use the sharp prod to stab the man in the upper arm. My soft expression is still plastered on my face as I smack his upside the head with it.
"You bitch," he wails as blood blots his shirt sleeve. He stumbles away quickly, cursing out my existence whist doing so.
I unlocked my front door and opened with with both hands. Antique decor was scattered in an organized manner throughout the house; books spilled out of shelves, and house plants coiled around anything the could grab ahold of.
Time to get packing.
✵ ♣ ✵
The Crow Club was loud, the stretch of liquor wafted through the air, and jukebox music mixed in with the booming voices coming from all sides.
I noticed a pair of eyes on me, belonging to a young man with dark skin and buzzed hair. Two pistols were pocketed on either side of his waist and a smirk played on his lips when I looked at him. Another man to stab with an umbrella... at least he seems to be my age. I was pretty exhausted and not in the mood for this.
He made his way towards me, and his smile grew larger when he was in speaking distance from me.
"You must be Miss l/n," his voice is springy, a sense of humor bubbling in it. My left eyebrow cocks as he says this, though I guess everyone in Ketterdam knows everyone in Ketterdam. The voices carry.
"Guilty as charged," I joke with a smirk, maintaining composure. "And you are...?"
"Jesper Fahey, one million kruge was counted, so Kaz has decided to agree to your deal," he explains. "If you follow me, I will bring you to his office." Jesper turns and begins to walk towards a hall in the back of the bar.
I follow behind him but grip the weapons stashed in the layers of my dress. We walk up a stairwell towards a wooden door. Jesper knocks and enters without waiting for a response.
The room before us is a dimly lit office, a large, open window blows in cool, night air. There is a bookcase and a shelf of rum in the right corner, behind them is peeled wallpaper, which reveals knotted wood paneling. My gaze glazes past the bags of cash haphazardly spread across the floor to Kaz, at his makeshift desk. It seems to be a door sat atop wooden crates.
The scar-faced boy looks up from his papers, he gestures for me to come sit in the chair across from his desk, while Jesper leans against the entrance door.
"Have you accepted my deal, or was Jesper just getting my hopes up?" I ask with soft curiosity in my voice. He leans against his desk, clasping his gloved hands.
"You're known for your deception, Mrs. l/n, how can we trust you?" Kaz's voice makes me shiver, but I like the feeling it brings afterwards. I'm not sure how much information I should give up to him, but my desperation clouds my better judgement.
"That's all I have left," I blurt out. I nod at the purse overflowing with kruge on the desk, "that's the rest of my money in my bank account, and my secret stash. My well-being is on the line for this deal." I wonder if I look slightly manic; if I resemble the panic I feel. Kaz eyes me, most likely analyzing my face with a blank expression. He turns to the open window, where the girl from before separates herself from the shadows. "Inej, go to Ketterdam's bank and see if her story checks out," He instructs. As soon as the girl—Inej, -was there, she was gone again, a part of the night.
After a while of silence in the dreary office, Inej returned. She gracefully hopped down from the windowsill and whispered to Kaz. He shifted his gaze to me, nodding.
"You said you have a boat?" He asked, my eyes fixated on his scarred lips as he articulated his question.
"Yes, I just need a crew," as I said such he looked confused.
"Are you implying you will be accompanying us on the heist?"
"I will. Do you have a crew?"
Kaz thought for a moment. He nodded.
"We have a skilled spy of sorts, a gunslinger, an explosions... expert, a heartrender and a former Fjerdian Drüskelle." He lists the crew members, not breaking eye contact.
"And a tailor," I hear Inej add. I nod at her comment and smile.
"We leave tomorrow morning at Sunrise," with that Kaz gets up, gesturing for Inej and Jesper to leave.
As they slip out of the room from various entry points, kaz makes his way over to a map tacked to the wall, his cane tapping against the floorboards. I follow him and watch as he draws two black dots, one over Ketterdam, the other on the Little Palace of Ravka. He turned to me, parting his lips to speak,
"Ever charted a map before?"

Ghost Trick Plushie: Pattern & Tutorial
Want a little ghost trick spirit plushie to call your own? Guess what! You can make one yourself! Here’s how:
Supplies
blue fabric
black fabric
black and white/light blue thread
some way to draw on fabric
sewing pins
sewing needle
pillow stuffing
scissors
vase filling (I got some from dollarama - home deco clear beads)
funnel or small spoon
The Pattern
Here is the pattern! It’s perfect for standard A4 paper. Cut out each of the pattern pieces, and trace it out on your fabric of choice. Cut out those pieces in the fabric, adding half an inch for seam allowance around all edges. In the below photo, I added some extra lines to cut along to make the points sharper, as well as some added darts.
Adding Weight (Optional)
I wanted my plush to be bottom heavy, so I decided to add a small bean bag to the bottom of the plush (this is what those two extra bottom pieces are for).
Sew the darts on the bottom pieces (pictures below).
From there, sew two of the bottom pieces together, leaving about an inch open to flip the beanbag right side out.
Time to flip it right side out!
I don’t own a funnel, so I used a teaspoon to fill the beanbag with vase filling.
Once you’re happy with how full it is, use a basic ladder stitch to sew the beanbag closed.
Main Body
To start, sew all of the darts together (the bottom pieces and the main body pieces).
Once you’ve done that, sew the two main body pieces together (put the good sides together) down each side. I recommend starting from the top point as that is the most important part to line up. Leave around an inch of space half way down one side so that you can flip the plushie right side out later. Leave the bottom open as well.
Once you’ve done that, it’s time to sew on the bottom. Line up the darts on the front and back when pinning the bottom to the main pieces.
Now, if you’ve decided to add weight, you can sew the beanbag onto the bottom. I used the seams I just made to attach the beanbag with a modified ladder stitch, but since it’s going to be on the inside of the plush, the stitch you use doesn’t really matter.
Flip the plushie right side out now, and fill with pillow stuffing. You can use a pencil to help with tight spots.
Once you’re happy with how you’ve filled it (you might have to reshape it as you fill), use a ladder stitch to close the opening.
Glasses
Sew the two glasses pieces together (good sides together), leaving the bottom open to flip it right side out. I like to sew the bottom points so that they have a little more structure when I sew it.
Once you’ve done that, you can flip the glasses right side out and fill with stuffing. Again, once you’re happy with it, use a ladder stitch to close up the opening.
Now you can attach the glasses to the main body! Use a ladder stitch.
And with that, your ghost trick plush is complete! (ft my dog, Bo)
If you have any questions, feel free to ask! And I would love to see photos if you make one for yourself.

THE RESTAURANT, THE BIRTHDAY, THE REALIZATION
This story can be found as a dedicated page on my blog: Here
This story features a number of kinks, primarily: Exhibition \ Free Use \ NTR
===============================================
Mornings started simple for Erin. Wake up, shower, get dressed, and just enjoy the day. No classes, no work, no plan, just relaxation today… or so she expected, after all, it was her birthday, she could do whatever she wanted with that time.
Things began no different than usual. She woke up, she checked her phone, sent a good morning message, and stepped into the warmth of the shower. It was once she stepped out that things turned. A message awaiting response. The address of a hotel? The time a cab would be picking her up? Instructions on what to do upon arrival?
Well, she couldn’t say no, now could she? Not to him, not to whatever he had planned out for her.
The day progressed, and in time, Erin found herself stepping from her prepaid cab, and entering the revolving door before her, right into the lobby of a surprisingly impressive hotel. From the looks of all the standing signs, a business conference was ongoing here, but she had her instructions. Approach the front desk. State her name, and the room number listed in the message, and receive the key card. But what she didn’t expect was that upon receiving her key, the clerk would add “Everything has been prepared for you, and I was asked to let you know that further instructions can be found on the counter upon entering. You should read them before settling in.
Up the elevator she went, down the hall, through the door, and just as she was told, a hand written letter awaited her upon entry.
Very good, my dear. I knew I could trust you to follow directions, but that was merely step one. By now, hotel staff will have notified me of your arrival, so no need to message me. In fact, I will not be answering a single message from you until all steps are complete, so your questions will need to wait. Now then, are you ready for step 2? On the bed you will find three boxes, each a unique size. Open the largest, fattest one first. More information can be found there. Oh, and don’t disappoint, dear.
As confused as she was, she knew there was no lie. She would not receive a reply no matter how hard she tried… so she didn’t try, she simply continued.
As she opened the first box, she found in it a deep burgundy dress, under which was another note.
This shall be your outfit for this evening. Do not begin putting it on yet. Next, open the shoe-box.
And open it she did, to find rich black heels along with one more note.
I’m sure you know well that these shall be your shoes this evening. Now go on and open the final box.
As she lifted the final lid, she found, atop an assortment of items, one final note.
I trust you’ve opened these in order, doll? Good. This box contains all of the accessories you’ll be needing today. I expect you to wear each piece as intended. Nothing missing. Nothing extra. Now, go and prepare, and be stood outside the lobby by 6:00.
Accessories? There’s quite a few things in the final box. Erin sifted through and set each item out in a row on the bed.
A black lace thong. A matching garter-belt, and stockings to complete the set. A similar lace choker, perfectly sized to just barely squeeze at her throat, with a small medallion hanging from it. A set of earrings, shaped like little locks. Magnetic nipple clamps, designed to look like nipple piercings. A remote vibrator to be pressed against her clit, held in place with a magnet on the other side of her panties. A deep red lipstick that would compliment the dress. And some assorted makeup to finish the look.
As she prepared, she couldn’t help but wonder what was in store for her. Her heart was racing, beating deep in her chest, pumping desperation through her veins. She slipped into the dress. It was a perfect fit. The long fabric reached down to her ankles, but on one side was a slit cutting up, revealing her leg. It cut far enough up that her garter-belt could be seen. Far enough up that if she wasn’t careful, her panties might also be seen.
She looked in the mirror with a smile, then wonder. She looked elegant, sexy, but her nipples stood out due to the magnetic clamps, and she felt more like a pet than a person… but it was all part of his plan, she’d have a wonderful birthday, right?
5:57 She hurried down to the elevator, down to the lobby, and out the revolving door, just in time.
6:00 on the dot, a familiar car pulled up, and she heard an unlocking sound. She expected he’d get out, greet her, open her door… But instead she felt the vibrator buzz to life, summoning her, beckoning her, calling her to step forward and enter the car herself. And so she did.
As she sat, as he drove, she wondered, and eventually spoke up. “Where are we going?” She wouldn’t be indulged. “You’ll see soon enough, doll.” He hadn’t said a word about how she looked… why? He hadn’t even said happy birthday yet… not even in his notes or his message this morning… did he forget, is all this for him, and not for her birthday? Her mind began to spiral, but before she even realized, her door was being opened, and a hand reached out to help her. They had arrived.
The restaurant was small, refined, modern, yet not snooty. Two walls were almost completely glass, and the light inside was as dim as the setting sun in the distance. Dark wood accents guided the eye towards the bar, and a candle sat alight at every table, the centerpiece atop the black simplicity of the tablecloth.
The host saw them to their table, and within moments, a waitress was there giving her little speech, welcoming them and telling them about the specials before stepping away only to return for their orders within a matter of minutes.
“You’ve been very good to follow all my directions thus far, doll. I’m proud of you.” His words broke through the gentle music that filled the space. She finally had his attention it seemed. But before she could answer, the waitress returned, gesturing fist to Erin, asking about drinks and a starter. The vibrator buzzed to life again, taking her by surprise, all that escaped her lips was a slight yelp as she attempted to speak. “Sorry, I think she was just a little started.” Erin’s companion chuckled, turning the toy back down, allowing her to order her drink.
After a short while, the waitress returned with drinks and a small starter to be shared, and inquired about mains. This time, when Erin attempted to order, the vibrator sprung from a low hum to what she could only assume was full blast. Her eyes quivered, she bit her lip, and the feeling of desperation flooded through her, visible on her face, all as she was looking up at the waitress to reply. Once more, another voice spoke for her. “Ah, goodness, I’m not sure what’s come over her. I’m very sorry. She must just be so nervous. We don’t go out often.” And then, unlike prior, he ordered for her, not letting up on the controls until the waitress stepped away.
He played this game through the evening. Up and down. High and low. Making small talk while teasing Erin the entire time. She felt her mind sinking, slipping away. “Why don’t you go to the washroom, freshen up, and look at yourself in the mirror?” She heard, his words grounding her mind temporarily. She obliged, standing, stumbling, biting her lips, wishing she could grip the table and hump it. As she approached the bathroom, she passed her waitress, who smiled, commented on the wonderful outfit, and asked if everything was alright, to which Erin nodded, not daring part her lips. She stood before the mirror, looking into her own eyes, filled with desperation. Her hips bucked gently as other women came up to use the sinks, touch up their lipstick, and leave. She could have sworn each one stood and watched her for an hour though… Suddenly, a pattern of buzzes, she was being summoned back, she knew it. And so, she returned without hesitation, only gone for a few minutes at most in actuality.
“I took the liberty of ordering our dessert while you were gone. It should be here momentarily.” She could barely comprehend the meaning behind the words anymore. Breathing heavily, feeling as if she were right on the edge. Her mind was lost.
As the waitress placed down the final plate, she stood waiting with a smile, as if knowing what would come next. Erin’s companion scooped a small piece of the decadent, warm, nearly melting chocolate torte and brought it up to Erin’s lips. Without thought, she wrapped her lips around it sensually, hips bucking, eyes glazed over, gently moaning against the spoon as, without warning, the vibrator buzzed stronger than ever, rapidly pulsing, throwing her over the edge. She clenched up tight, gasped and moaned as she enjoyed the bite she was given, enjoyed the orgasm she was given. She quivered with pleasure, head leaning back, panting with a dumb smile before realizing the waitress was stood, witnessing the whole thing with a curious smile. “Happy birthday, my doll.” His voice rang through her entire being, nearly sending her into a second orgasm. The waitress now spoke as well “I’m glad to see you’ve enjoyed your time here so thoroughly. I’ll be back shortly with the check.”
After writing out a tip and signing, he handed Erin the receipt paper and pen, and dictated what she should write next to the tip amount. “Thank you for the wonderful birthday meal. My master hopes you enjoyed the show.” She blushed bright as she wrote.
After driving back to the hotel, having taken longer than the drive to the restaurant, they finally were at their room, opening the door slowly, Erin stepped in first. The room had changed. Now on the bed lay rope, the same red as her dress, as well as a large plug and similar dildo, and a ball gag. “When did…” She began to think, began to speak, but as she stepped further into the room, she saw a familiar face smiling at her.
“Happy birthday, Erin. I’ve been asked to make this an unforgettable birthday for you.” The waitress’ voice hit her ears and nearly stunned her. In the waitress’ hand was the controller to the vibrator… was it her all along, had he passed it to her at some point… did she even actually work there… how did he plan this? Once more her head was spiralling, and this time, his hand gripped her throat and pinned her to the wall as the door latched shut.
Erin now found herself bound and gagged, both holes stuffed, warm cum leaking around the toys, held in by the rope bindings. She watched, helpless, as her master, her love, bent the waitress over, eye to eye with her. She watched the look on the waitress’ face fill with pleasure. Heard the moans. The waitress pulled the gag from Erin’s lips and kissed her deeply, passionately. Erin could feel her body moving with every thrust. Jealousy and desperation filled her entire being. But before a fire was lit in her heart, the waitress pulled away, and was forced down, legs wide, cum dripping from her holes. Erin’s eyes were glossy, looking up longingly at the man she dreamed of as he pulled her down, head between the other girls legs, and made her lap up every drop of cum.
The night continued, and in time, Erin found herself being used again. Come morning, Erin was still bound, dripping with cum, and out cold. By 10:00, the door shut, waking her. The other two had just gotten back from breakfast, unbound her, and showered her. As the three want to the front desk to check out, the clerk stated with a smile. “We hope you enjoyed your stay, sir. And yours as well, ma'am. Oh, and of course, I hope you had a wonderful birthday, doll.” Erin’s heart leaped… her master had told everyone, hadn’t he… she wouldn’t hide it ever… she was his… his doll… his pet… his.

FO: time flies by in the yellow and green...
...Stick around and you'll see what I mean
(there will also be more pictures under the cut)
Remember literally yesterday when I mentioned I was doing a stretchy bind-off purlwise, and I loved the fluidity of it? Well, obviously a bind off pretty much heralds the end of a project in sight so here we are. I was so eager for this one to be completed that I lightly washed the shawl and pinned it overnight so that, by today, I'd have my first finished, knitted shawl.
Pattern: Mara Shawl by Madelinetosh, available here through Ravelry
Yarn: Arcane Fibre Works, "Calm Waters" -80/20 Extra Fine Merino Nylon Super Wash Fingering Weight. (2 Skeins)
Tools: Clover Takumi Bamboo Circulars - US 5 3.75mm, Eucalan Lavender Wash for blocking
This shawl is a garter stitch shawl with yarn overs down the center and sides to both increase and add a bit of lacy interest. I had actually started on this before I finished the throw blanket, so these two pieces together were so critical for my knitting journey thus far, and I've learned so much already.
While the throw maintained the upward structure of its rows, this shawl gave me the experience of increasing along the center and sides, working outward as well as up. Once I figured out the yarn-over and the cadence from row to row, the location of the yarn-overs was easy to remember. Simple, but elegant on the piece. It did take me a few rows in to figure out that a stitch marker for the RS vs WS would probably be helpful, and from there it was smooth sailing.
Almost too smooth, because I just kept going. I don't remember the cord size I used, but eventually working the stitches scrunched up on the needles, and the work curled into itself. Once that started, I had a hard time imagining what it would look like finished. I had no idea what the shaping would look like once it was off the needles, so my plan was to hope I just figured out when would be a good time to stop. Low stakes winging it, if you will.
She's big. This is no shawlette you behold. The length surpasses my wingspan on both sides, and the drape down the back is lovely and full while the fabric itself is light and breathable between the stitches. I think because the needles were a bit bigger than recommended size for fingering weight, this resulted in some space between the stitches.
I'm dreaming of that first cool day of fall, and wrapping myself up with her covering my shoulders pinned with a nice brooch, or rolled into a scarf around my neck over denim. She's going to be a wonderful addition to my wardrobe, and I am ecstatic with the final length and look.
I mentioned above I used two skeins. Another learning curve for me - one I intentionally played with here - was the way the colors fell. I don't think it's a crochet thing specifically because I know opinions still vary, but coming from a craft that tends to create potentially less ordered fabrics with variegated yarns, I'm kind of open to color pooling at times. It's not for everyone, but I think there's a fun little magic in letting the colors land the way they want to in both crafts it seems.
I started with one skein, then switched to alternating after a while to learn that technique, then ended with one skein again as I finished out the project. I was nervous about this choice, especially as I started seeing entire blocks of yellow forming. But in the final garment, I don't feel like these larger streaks take away from the color combination. I'm loving that it's not uniform and there's a bit of fun and randomness to how the colors fall.
Towards the final rows, the pattern switched from garter to 1x1, then 2x2 ribbing, which I could see being a great opportunity to switch out to another color to complement. But I really wanted to have my yellow and green shawl, so I decided to keep working up with the same yarn. Plus I am kind of in love with seeing how different stitches create a new texture that gives the colors in a variegated yarn a bit of a different life to them.
Now - I do have one more skein of this colorway, as I had bought a just-in-case extra. I am thinking my big shawl needs a little something else to go with it - maybe a hat or some fingerless gloves, oooh! or some socks.
Now, I have... how many more months till I can wear this?

Kinktober Day 27
WELCOME BACK SLUTS. It's that time of the year you've been looking forward to. As always, Kinktober is hosted by your local Napoleon simp @xxsycamore
If you would like to read Kinktober 2021 and 2022 they are here
Remember to reblog and tell me what you thought about it
Day 27 - Temperature Play | Knife Play/Gun Play
Hands tied to the bed, and his body on your lap. Your shirt and underwear are the only things left on your body. The room is dark other than a few candles so you can't see much but you sure can feel a lot.
Coming down your neck and around your collar bone you feel the cold blade of a knife dance across your skin. It tickles the tops of your breasts, teasing that he's going to add pressure and finally break skin but he doesn't.
You hold your breath each time the blade makes a turn.
"Relax," he chuckles. "I wouldn't hurt you, little fawn."
It wasn't a large knife, more like a dagger. The one he kept on himself. He tied you down so you wouldn't accidentally jerk and get hurt by the blade. He says that it's why he is sitting in you as well, but you think he just wanted to be on your lap.
The blade squeezes under the front of your bra and he quickly pulls up, cutting it in half, letting your breasts free. You let out a gasp, more surprised than anything.
"Don't worry. I'll buy you a new one."
One hand cups your boob while he leans down to start sucking on your nipple. His other hand massages the other boob, blade still in hand.
You pull at your restraints and moan. If he wasn't sitting on you, you would be squirming.
"You're like my own prisoner, little fawn," he smirks and puts the blade to your neck. Something about that action gets you to moan.
A captain with a prisoner in his bed.
"I must mean something to be kept in the Captain's bed. Not just anyone can get this opportunity."
"You're right, little fawn," the blade glides against your cheek. "You're highly sought after. Going for a high price. But I've decided to keep you for myself."
He licks your checks where he wants to bite you, but then stares at the spot. He knows biting would feel better for you, but he so badly wants to use the blade. Liking your blood from a real wound.
"Maybe I should mark you so that others know not to mess with you."
You were also expecting a bite, but the extra pressure added to the blade wasn't a disappointment. The sliced open your skin at your breast. It wasn't deep, just enough to get blood from you.
Drake's tongue dragged across your skin to lick up every drop. He made a few more small, shallow cuts. With each one you moaned, telling him it was okay. He wasn't looking to scar you however. Not yet.
He groaned wanting more. He was going to have to bite you if he wanted that. His lips moved up to your neck while his hands moved to your hips. He pulled at your underwear, moving his fingers under the fabric.
The knife went under too, and it cut through the fabric to come out. When he went to cut the other side he bit into your neck and your body jerked upward into his body, moaning louder than before.
His fangs dug into you, pulling out as much blood as he wanted. You pulled your restraints more wanting to touch him. Wanting to grab him, pull his hair, rip his clothes off, anything.
He licks the wound he made and sits up, switching the hand that the blade is in.
"I made you cum before I even got inside of you, didn't I?" He smirks and finally starts to take his clothes off. "Let's see where else you like being cut."

Pipple Plush Pattern!
(And Tutorial) Long Post!
This is a pattern I made of pipple because I like this crazy little plant. I was bored, so I created this myself for myself. This is NOT for any monetary gain. This is just for fun. It's free so go ahead and make your own pipple if you want! (Just don't sell it please!) Let me know if you make one! This is my first time publishing a pattern, so sorry for any confusing parts of the instruction!
For material you need green, brown, and yellow fabric. A 1/4 of a yard should be plenty for the yellow. I had extra green and brown/orange so I'm unsure exactly how much needed (not a whole lot). You need thread and a needle. (Embroidery thread if you want extra details.) Everything except the eyes, collar, mouth, buttons, and headband need seam allowance.
The head of the pipple:
Sew up the darts of the side of the head. Then, connect the two like pieces and sew along the long curved edge to form the back of the head. Then sew the chin piece on, lining up the short straight lines of the back of the head with the chin edges (the two bottom edges, one of which marked on the pattern above)
Once the chin and back of the head are sewn, pin on the face piece. Get as close as you can to match up the edges. Make sure to mark a 1-2 inch spot to NOT sew to be able to flip and stuff later. When sewing, go slow and adjust often. Curved pieced like this are a bit tricky to do, but you got this! (Some of the seams will be covered by the leaf headband, so it will be okay if it's not perfect). When sewn flip and stuff the pipple head like a pepper and sew close using a ladder stitch.
For the ears you will first sew the smaller like-pieces together by the SHORTER side edge. (The picture of the cut pieces above have the smaller pieces flipped around whoops!). Then once they are sewn together, sew them to the larger triangle piece. Flip and stuff the ears. These can now be attached to the head by hand sewing.
Body:
This part is relatively easy. Sew the large body piece together, leaving the neck open to be able to be flipped and stuffed. You can then attach the body to the head.
For the clothes, I laid it on the pipple body and marked where it reaches the bottom of the arms. I then sewed it up to that point on both sides. Then I slid it back on the pipple and sewed the shoulders of the dress together.
Details, Details, Details!
This is the final stretch! For the details like eyes, mouth, headband leaf, and buttons, you do not need seam allowance. For the eyes, you can cut another eye shape of a different color, cut it in half, and add it for more detail (not manditory). I also embroidered some eye sparkles too!
You can now hand sew the collar (wrapping it around the pipple and stitching the shortest edges together), buttons, eyes, and mouth (I embroidered a smaller smile but you can choose if you want the big grin or not).
Stitch the headband together by the shortest edge and tie it on the pipple using thread. (You can add more detail using embroidery to stitch leaf details on the leaves). If you desire, you can hand stitch the headband on the pipple for it to be more secure.
And the pipple is done! Hopefully, you enjoy! If you decide to make one, let me know! I'd love to see it!

Today’s sewing post is: chatting about alterations!
So, as you may know, a big part of slow fashion involves repairing and altering clothing when needed, rather than getting new clothes every time. And I’m really good at mending, but I can sometimes drag my feet when I know that things need to be altered, since it’s usually more involved than simply fixing a hole, often times involves weird/tricky sewing, almost always requires seamripping, and doesn’t give me the thrill of a new project. So, here I am, posting about my alterations projects of the past few days both in an attempt to normalize alterations and to try and make myself a little more excited about them. Plus, alterations are one of those things that I always put off, but I am so much happier when they’re done, even if I didn’t enjoy the process so much.
First project: coat sleeves. I was cutting out fabric to make myself a second fall jacket when it occurred to me that the sleeve piece of my pattern looked really narrow, and when I tried to wrap it around my arms I couldn’t do it easily. Now, usually, when I find a pattern I like, I will use it up to and beyond the point of death (see: my button up shirt pattern that has made over twenty shirts and also served as a base for almost ten different other costume pieces), so I had a couple jackets already made from this pattern; my fall jacket, my winter coat, and two of my costume jackets. So, off I went to try them on.
And none of them fit in the upper sleeves. They fit the same everywhere else, so it seems like I just never noticed the issue until now… but that doesn’t make sense, because I could hardly force my arms into the sleeve of my winter coat, and I wore that one near daily last winter. I feel like I would have noticed. But, I am usually a practical person, so I only spent a little while moping and confused by the mystery before I turned myself to the practical matters; how do I fix this?
Well, I started by seamripping out all of the sleeves from both the outer fabric and lining, then separating them from one another at the cuffs and opening them up to lay flat (I managed to watch quite literally an entire Netflix show during this process. It took forever). Then, I went searching for the leftovers I had of fabrics (thankfully, I found all but one, where I had seemingly used all the leftover red satin for something else, but thankfully I had another red satin on hand and since it was the sleeve lining, no one but me will ever see the different fabric) and traced out a pattern for a gusset to put in the seam under the arm, which was about three inches wide at the top and then tapered down into nothing a little past the elbow. I then sewed all of these in, reassembled the sleeves, and, since I didn’t feel like taking apart the whole jacket to line it the way I did originally, I put in the outer sleeves, sewed the cuffs, then pulled the sleeve linings through and whipstitched them around the armscye. It was annoying and definitely not my most fun project, but now all my jackets fit again and I can hopefully wear them for a good long time, and the extra gores are not super noticeable since they’re in the bottom seam.
My other alteration project was my shift for my vampire costume (from my fantasy costuming project. I had tried to use it as part of a costume I had just pulled from other pieces of my costume closet, but found that apparently I misestimated the width that I needed and couldn’t get it on past the shoulders. So, I decided to add panels to the sides. Looking at the (rather small) piece of fabric left over, I figured I could put a four inch wide panel on either side, plus I needed a little triangle to taper that extra width into the sleeve (the sleeve fit fine, but because of how I set them in, they would get very messed up by adding extra panels to the sides). I had a tiny bit of fabric left, so I figured I should add some triangular gores to the sides at the bottom, to make sure I had enough room for a full range of motion. Since my vampire clothes take a lot of inspiration from medieval clothes, I tried to stick with rectangular construction for the alterations just like I did with the original, and I think I succeeded. This was all the fabric I had left after cutting out the panels, and most of this is from cutting the curves at the neckline on the original.
And here’s the one of the panels, fully assembled and ready to go in. Kind of reminds me of a rocket ship
I like to fell down rather than zigzag/serge the seams of anything that will go under something tight fitting, like a corset (a fitted kirtle in this case) for the sake of comfort, and since I was following the rules I initially set for my fantasy costuming project, I was doing it by hand (honestly, that was a big reason I was hesitant to start this alteration; I didn’t want to do all that handsewing, nor did I want to have to rip out the seams I spend a long time felling). After these were assembled, I sewed them into one side of the side seams, then sewed the up again on the other side.
Final results: wonderful. The side panels and gussets under the arms give it a lot more of a natural shape and range of motion, and if I sew another one of these, for an actual medieval dress or an 17th/18th century shift, I think I may do this method from the beginning
The finished project (I don’t have a before picture, but it was just a straight up and down rectangle. This one has a least a tiny bit of shape)

Weird Doctor
TWs: drugged character, restraints, muzzle. It's extra long, but I'm not sure where to cut it so I haven't. lemme know if i need to add any other TWs if theyre missing, please. Have fun <3
@cupcakes-and-pain @maracujatangerine
It feels like I’m floating in syrup, cuz everything is nice and quiet and slow, but it’s also too cold to go back to sleep. I wriggled around until realizing that I’m not on a bed and there is no blanket, sadly. I opened my eyes enough to figure out that the cement I’m laying on isn’t covered by anything. Why would I sleep on cement? It’s not warm or comfy at all, and I always trip over the cracks and skin my hands or knees, it's the worst. Wait, there’s a blanket, but it's on the other side of the room and I don’t wanna get up. I stared sadly at it for a bit, letting my brain melt away. Eventually I got too cold and tried to get up, but my arms shook and everything started spinning just a little bit so I laid back down. I huffed, and tried to remember what happened but I kept getting distracted by how cold it was. Why would anyone ever make it so cold? Why would you torture yourself like that? It has to be at least 71 degrees for me to feel comfortable and even then I hide under the blankets. It definitely isn’t that warm in here, and I wanna leave but the only way out is a weird door with a flap at the bottom.
Actually, the door looks like those ones in movies, yknow? The ones for cells to hold the prisoners, all steel and whatever metal doors are made of. It looks really heavy though, and the room is pretty dark. I can see alright, but there’s no light coming in anywhere. There’s also a ring in the center of the room, which is a trip hazard. You shouldn’t put things out in the middle of the room with no light source, someone’s gonna break the ankle tripping on it. I wouldn’t though, cuz I never trip ever and anyone who says I do is lying and should be banished from my kingdom. Wait, I don't have a kingdom. Do I? Oh well. It would be nice to have a kingdom, just relaxing all day getting to eat all the chocolates and not having to do anything. Maybe I should start my own kingdom, but people say it’s hard. All you gotta do is declare yourself king though, so I don’t understand what they think is hard about that. Maybe they can’t make themselves king? I could make all the people kings, but only if they promised to leave my kingdom alone and give me chocolates.
Suddenly, the door was shoved open, and I closed my eyes against the very bright light that came with it. That was scary, it dragged on the ground and made a really loud noise that hurt my ears. I opened my eyes to glare at it, so it wouldn’t do that again. Oh hey, when they get here? There was someone standing in the door, with a weird thing in their hands.
“Oh good, you’re awake. Let’s get this on you, I need to take you down to the medbay. You lost quite a bit of blood, and we need to fix that. Getting more is a pain, by the way, so if you lose any more I will drain you dry myself, understood?” They said, walking up to me with the weird thing.
I tried to say something but it hurt and I started coughing, which hurt more. I huffed, cuz I couldn't do anything else. The guy crouched down, setting the weird thing on the floor nearby. He unfolded the weird thing, which had other things inside. He grabbed what looked like one of those shock collars for dogs, but without the spikes on the inside. She- wait, is she a guy or a girl? I can’t tell. Oh well. They slid it under my neck before pulling it tight and clicking it together. Rude, I’m not a dog. I’m not even an animal, everyone can see that. Maybe they need glasses? The weird person was wearing a doctor trench coat, which is even weirder than a normal trench coat, actually. The weird doctor pulled another thing from the little pile that was already mostly gone, and it looked like an odd fabric mask.
He lifted my head up and placed the cold metal part under my chin, and pulling the top metal piece over the bridge of my nose. I tried to watch, but my eyes went cross eyed and made me dizzy, so I just stared at the weird doctor again. They tugged on it before clipping the two back straps together around the back of my head, and then making it really tight somehow. I winced and tried to move away but the weird doctor just yanked my head back and told me to stay still or else, so I stopped wiggling and glared at them. They started pulling on something on the side of the mask thingie, and then that side was really tight and I couldn't open my mouth at all. They started doing the same for the other side, and I tried to move again but it was hard and really slow, so the weird doctor just shoved me back onto the floor.
He yanked my hands behind my back and click-clacked super handcuffs onto my wrists, right over the cuts from before. I tried to pull on them, but it just made my wrists hurt really really bad so I just laid there while the weird doctor went out past the door. It was still cold, but now it was worse cuz i can’t move and everything hurts. Weird Doctor dragged in a moving bed, like the ones in hospitals for patients. Weird, a doctor would never let it get this cold. I’ve never seen a doctor before so I’m not sure. Or a hospital. Movies show them all the time, and they always seem really loud with everyone yelling and weird machines beeping or screaming. Maybe Weird Doctor is a worker for a quiet hospital? Quiet hospitals seem like they would be more secret-ier, so they have to be super secret and make sure nobody tells.
“Alright, runt. I’m going to lift you and if you kick me, I will break your ankle. Behave.”
That was the only warning I got before Weird Doctor lifted me up in the princess carry and set me down on the moving bed. I wanted to kick him but it felt like I was gonna throw up and I didn't wanna do that. I can’t even open my mouth at all, and I didn't wanna have to swallow puke. That’d be really gross and icky. I jerked when my wrists got crushed under me, and it felt like someone lit them on fire so I rolled onto my side. I took a deep breath, but it didn’t make me feel any better, and nothing made any more sense. Hopefully Weird Doctor could fix my wrists, and maybe give me some chocolate. I’m really hungry, but I can't ask for anything cuz my throat hurts, and the mask keeps my mouth clamped shut.
Weird doctor started pushing the moving bed out of the dark room, and out into the hallway. I didn’t look very different, but there are lights which is nice. No one will trip, cuz now they can see the ground. Unless they’re distracted, like the one time Detective walked into a door while reading a case paper. He dropped like he was shot too, which was funny cuz he cussed like a sailor, whatever that means. I heard Ms. Secretary say that to someone, but I'm not sure what it means. He did cuss a lot though, and he said I shouldn’t repeat any of it to anyone who looked like a reporter.
We passed by some other rooms, but they all had the same type of door, so I couldn’t see in. I heard something whimpering in one of them, maybe a dog? That makes me sad cuz doggies are really nice and fun to play with, they shouldn’t be hurt. Maybe if I ask really nicely, Weird Doctor will help them too? We passed more doors, and I could hear yelling from some of them, which was scary. I don’t like when people yell, cuz they get really loud and mean and scary. Weird Doctor just kept pushing the moving bed along, and the yelling went away. Weird Doctor is kinda nice, but I don’t like the super-cuffs cuz they hurt my wrists more, or the mask cuz i cant open my mouth at all, or it’ll pull on my nose and make that hurt too. Maybe if I was good, Weird Doctor would get rid of them? And, and maybe if i was really super good i’d get chocolates and something to drink. My throat felt really dry and scratchy, and that was worse than it hurting cuz I can’t scratch my throat.
Weird Doctor walked us around a corner, and suddenly there was an old elevator, like the ones in the scary movies. It looked a little different though, cuz there’s red blotches everywhere and I thought rust was orange. Maybe rust gets darker the longer it's there? The elevator jerked, and suddenly it felt like I was climbing but without actually doing anything. It was cool, but also made me feel sick again, so I ignored it and listened to the music that was playing from somewhere. IT was really nice and calming and made me feel sleepy again, but I don’t think Weird Doctor would like it if I fell asleep again. The elevator dinged, and Weird Doctor pushed the moving bed out of the doors. The walls were really bright, and they were white. I was right, this is a hospital! But it's a quiet hospital, cuz I don't hear anyone yelling, and nothing is beeping. It’s really nice. They pushed the moving bed really, really close to another bed, and lifted me onto that one instead. Why would they do that? The other bed was just fine. Probably a Quiet hospital thing. Weird Doctor undid the super-cuffs, but then they rolled me onto my back just to strap my wrists down to the bed. This is a little unnecessary, I couldn’t do anything before, so what’s the difference? They walked off, so I just laid on my back and rolled my head to watch them. Weird Doctor pulled out a tall, rolling thingie and hooked a red bag to it.
They dragged it over to me, and shoved a needle into my arm. I huffed at the prick, but then the tube it was connected to started to fill with the red stuff. It looked really super familiar but I can’t remember. It was definitely a hospital thing though, but usually the bags are clear. Maybe I get to have a special bag cuz I'm a special boy. I’m the specialiest of boys, so that makes sense. Weird Doctor kept walking around and grabbing things and setting them on the table right next to the bed. I didn’t see that, maybe it's to hold all the chocolates and medicine things Weird Doctor is setting down. They need to make sure to leave enough room for the chocolates, though, or else I’ll have to beat them up. Chocolates are the most important-y things ever.
I blinked slowly as Weird Doctor started filling needles with something, but it’s getting hard to stay awake cuz it's warm. The heat made me tired, and I couldn’t keep my eyes open. Hopefully Weird Doctor wouldn’t be mad at me, but they also never said anything about not falling asleep, I think. They’ve been nice so far though, cuz they haven’t yelled at me at all. Still don’t like the mask thing, so he’s not the nicest but he’s nice enough. I rolled my head over t o look at the ceiling. It was a pretty grey color, and I stared at it while falling asleep. Blue would be prettier though, I think.

TOS Dress Failures Post
So as I mentioned, I'm beginning a little post here about things I did wrong with my first (yellow) Star Trek: TOS dress, and in the coming days I'll post a few updates about my second (red) dress, and try to show off what I'm doing differently! I am very much an amateur sewer, so maybe don't expect this to be super comprehensive, but I'm going to do my best to talk about the issues I had and just try to shed some light on what ended up being a pretty bare bones pattern. So much stuff I could have done better, some my own folly, some issues with the pattern.
To give you an idea, this is everything that came with the pattern:
The instructions page is double sided, but the other side is just a sizing chart and recommended fabric types, in fact, the instructions occasionally mentioned diagrams that I did not receive, however, from my scouring the internet, this really is the best pattern if you want the right looking fit of the tos skant dresses, so I went with it anyway.
Some of the issue I ran into were:
Length: The little I saw online did suggest you lengthen the skirt and yeah, they were right. I did try to do this, but my lack a familiarity with the patterns made it really inconsistent.
Although the front is actually a good length, it's uneven because I tried to eyeball it (laziness strikes again), and the back (which I obviously didn't do as well) is waay too short for me to consider wearing in public. But the main issue was, being new to the pattern, I didn't realize that piece 'C' would also be forming part of the hemline, leading to this:
As you can see this was a combo of my own follies and lack of comprehensive instructions.
Solution: add a specific amount of CMs to the pattern length and add it every piece (except the H&D sleeve pieces). I will make a post about this when I begin cutting my red fabric to show you all exactly what I'm doing, because I want to make some more measurements before I settle on a length.
2. Sleeves: The guides also said the lengthen and widen the sleeves, which I didn't do but definitely should have, I ripped so many seams just trying it on because the sleeves were too tight:
I also used super stretchy fabric for this yellow dress, so with the cotton I'm using this time I will definitely have to be careful about adding a fair amount of width.
I will say the sleeve length is more of a matter of taste, but for an accurate costume I want them at least to my wrists, and this pattern's sleeve barely reached them, so lengthening is also a good idea. It's always easier to take something in than to let it out!
Solution: Add a few cm to the sleeve width and length, I will probably be doing 5cm extra for both because it's a nice round number, and gives me some wiggle room. For Americans in the audience this is about 2 inches.
3. Zipper: With the stretchy fabric I used I almost definitely did not need a zipper. So I didn't fully put it in. Basting the zipper is step 5 of the pattern, so I just sort of... basted it in and then never fully attached it or made the zipper opening because I was confused about where it went. This is where the pattern insists I should have been following a diagram I did not have:
But I did have the little picture, where the zipper is hidden in the pleat, like so:
As you can see there is supposed to be a slit in the fabric for the zipper to peek through, but the fabric I used was stretchy enough that I could basically just pull it on. Therefore, I never actually cut the slit and just pulled it on. With my less stretchy cotton I will have to put in a zipper, which will be okay because I figured out how to do it properly.
Solution: Instead of sewing the zipper all the way down right away (what I did) you are only supposed to sew it to the top part of the pattern, and leave the hidden/skirt part to sew in later. To be fair, the pattern does say this, I was just confused about the pleating due to my inexperience which led to confusion about the zipper. Generally though, next time, I will start at the top of the garment and work my way to the bottom... that maybe should have been obvious.
So those were the major problems I dealt with with this pattern, and they're also why I'm excited to try it again and make a better version!
I also had a lot of trouble with the pleating, but that was genuinely just my inexperience and not the pattern giving me issues. I could make another post about the problems I had with that if there are other beginners who might want some tips though.

Cozy
Art and story inspired by this prompt list!
Bo and Jac are spending a quiet evening relaxing the time away in the former's house. Before this scene above took place however, the smaller human was rattled- unusually for her- though thankfully, Bo was able find a solution to help his sister calm down.
Full story below the cut
Jac watched the fire grow as the chopped up timber was set ablaze. She was awe stricken by how massive it had gotten in such a short time, though her sense of wonder grew to a sliver of uncertainty as the light of the flame began to cloud her thoughts. It was just the right fit for a fireplace in a giant household, but for the perspective of a human like Jac, there was enough of an inferno to completely engulf the likes of a building more scaled to her size.
"There, that should do it." Bo said as he tossed the last of the firewood that was needed. "That'll certainly keep us comfortable for the evening... You all right?"
Jac was at a safe distance on top of Bo's single seated couch. The furniture was facing the fireplace, so Jac couldn't help but stare at the flames as she gripped her nails into the fabric. As he made his way over to his chair, Bo could instantly tell that something was off. For Jac seemed to be in a trance like state, gazing without blinking but a few times that minute at the caged flame. It took the waving of the giant's hand right in front of her face to get her to finally snap out of it.
"Hello~? Earth to Jac? Can you read me!"
Jac literally shook her head, her hair whipping side to side.
"Were you daydreaming again?" Asked Bo.
"S...sorta? I guess?"
Jac took a deep breath and explained what she was seeing from her own point of view. Her words steadily opened the Bunyan giant's eyes.
"Oh. I'm... sorry if this is scaring you."
"Wha? Nononono it's not anyone's fault. It just.. feels weird I guess."
"Well after hearing that, I don't blame you. But doncha worry about a thing. That fire's not going anywhere past that point, so you'll be safe without a doubt."
"Yeah, I guess that should be obvious."
Bo could tell that his adopted sister was still wary, which was far from par for her. Without a second thought, he was on the move. The older brother stepped into the kitchen for just a moment to whip up some instant cocoa. As the microwave heated their drinks, he pulled out a couple of cookies to add as toppings. Right before he heard the ping, he pulled out the tiniest miniature glass he could find in the cabinet. Slowly and as gingerly as he could, he poured the hot brew of chocolate and cream into the tiny cup. He then shaved a little bit of the vanilla crumbles into her drink- not as fancy as he would have liked but it would have to do.
In a few short minutes, Bo was back with the drinks at hand, taking extra measures to stabilize his sister's helping.
"There you go sweet pea. Sorry, I tried to add your cookie in just the right amount but it broke."
"Well, I guess that's just how the cookie crumbles."
That got a chuckle out of the Bunyan giant. Jac then looked at the mug with a big smile on her face.
"But yeah, it's the thought that counts."
Bo sat down on his couch and brought Jac over to his chest. The human then proceeded to walk over to the crook of his arm where she settled down. As soon as she took the first sip, Jac perked right up- the sugar gave her a much needed boost. It was just the right amount- not enough to be overbearing as was the case when she consumed most other giant confections. Bo really knew how to make it work.
The two drank in silence as they took their time to soak in the warmth of their brew. After Bo was about half way done, he finally spoke.
"I used to be terrified of fires as a kid. Especially after what happened to my mom."
"Yeah.." Jac replied quietly, "I can imagine."
"But, I got over it. And now I volunteer to help stop small fires in the human district if there is ever a need. So what I'm saying is, if I can get over it so can you. Cause you're the bravest, most toughest person I know."
"I'm not as strong as you. C'mon!" Jac laughed.
"Not physically, of course! But you know what I mean. It'll take time, so don't feel bad about it. For now, you've got me to keep you safe."
"Since you fight these things sometimes, I guess I don't have to worry."
"Mmmhm!"
Jac asked Bo to set the cup aside as she began to nestle deeper into the folds of her brother's shirt. She was a lot more relaxed now that she was literally on top of her big brother, and she could finally bask under the warmth and the soft glow of the very thing she had gotten so worked up over just minutes before.
The two continued to relax for the rest of the lazy evening in that very spot. It wasn't long before Jac had drifted to a sound slumber.

Twyla rag doll easy tutorial
No sewing experience needed. Just remember to push the needle into the fabric in a shallow way and make it exit one stitch's width away. Then pull the thread tight, and you have a stitch!
===== You Will Need =====
Purple felt, flannel, or other non-fraying cloth. I used two colors, one for Twyla and one for Dustin.
Pink felt
An old t-shirt or other stretchy fabric
Two pairs of buttons
Yarn in teal and purple
Needle
Sewing thread
===== Step One =====
Cut the pieces out. You can make them in any size and proportion you want. Just keep the colored lines equal to lines of the same color.
For the head/body, an octagon which is connected to a rectangle with its top two corners cut off. Two copies.
For the arms, a rectangle that is two yellow lines wide. Two copies.
For the legs, four pieces that are one green line wide (measure the bottom of the body and divide by two)
For the dress, a square of t-shirt that is four green lines long plus seam allowance
For Dustin, two ear shapes
For Dustin's body, a rectangle that is two ear widths wide plus seam allowance.
====== Arms =====
Fold each arm in half the long way. Sew up the long side. Curve your line as you sew along the short side, to form a hand. Turn arms inside out.
===== Head and Body =====
Line up the open end of each arm with one of the yellow lines, which will become shoulders, as shown. Sew along the body and head, curving your line in the octagon to make a circular head. Turn the body inside out and stuff it.
===== Legs =====
Layer the leg pieces together in pairs. Sew down the long edge, then the short edge. Form a foot as shown in the picture: sew up the second long edge a little ways, then sew sideways until you reach the middle of the leg, then sew in a diagonal to the top corner. Trim excess felt. Turn legs inside out.
===== Body Assembly =====
Hold the legs so they are inside the body by a little bit. Sew straight across the bottom of the body.
===== Hair Part One =====
Put your needle and thread at the top left corner of the head, where you want the bangs to start. Stick your needle right back into its hole to form a loop. Let the needle exit about one yarn-width away from the loop. Insert a piece of yarn into the loop to form a strand of bangs as shown. The yarn should be a little longer than Twyla is tall. Pull the loop tight. Repeat along the top head seam until you have a full head of hair.
You can trim the bangs afterwards to make them neater.
Now put your needle and thread at the side seam of the head, toward the bottom of the head as shown. Make a loop, bring the long tail of a piece of yarn down into the loop, and pull the loop tight. Repeat until you reach the halfway point of the back of the head. Then go to the opposite side of the head and work toward the middle looping the yarn in place.
When you finally meet in the middle, you might have extra yarn or a gap where there was not enough yarn to cover the scalp. This isn't important.
===== Face =====
Put the needle and thread where you want the center of the lips to be. Put the needle through the lips. Sew them to the face.
Then, put the thread where you want the eye to be. Add a button. By putting the needle in through the button's holes and out underneath the button, repeatedly, sew the button in place. Sew the next eye on in the same way.
===== Hair Part Two =====
Using the looping method from before, attach a piece of yarn twice as long as Twyla is tall to the middle of the back of her head, at the bottom, where her center part will be. Loop more yarn above it until you reach the bangs. Give her a trim to neaten her hair.
Continue tutorial on my next post
