I made a lmk oc

#they’re supposed to be some sort of experiment to see if people could recreate Sun Wukongs stone egg. the goal was to make a more controlled #and tame version using carved wood and cultivation. but eventually they got worried about it becoming too powerful and scrapped it #eventually they come to life and live in the abandoned temple they were built in #their bottom half is made of wood because when they came to life their creator/s left them unfinished when they scrapped the project #they had to carve the rest of their body out of hunger and frustration because they couldn’t eat or move much by crawling on their top half #this is also why they spite their creators and hate irresponsible creation. because of abandonment issues and feeling like they have no #purpose or direction in life #their power is also very limited to due being man made since they were originally a wood carving #meo gave me the idea but one reason would be because they’re half finished. the sculpture was still half stump so it was completely untouche #that half can channel power in its raw form but the other half cannot once it’s been carved by man #so technically they could have the same level or potential for power as the stone but that was dampened #the other thing is how they were created to be a duplicate or recreation of a stone monkey and a celestial looked at that and was like #‘we’re not doing that again’ LMAO #i think the case of them carving their own legs doesn’t take away their power though. that balance was made #before they came to life so carving the legs or not can’t affect it anymore. like making a cake and slicing it #their energy levels are also naturally low because of that so their movements are sluggish and they aren’t very active overall #constantly lying in the sun to charge their batteries and get some stuff done. just like me fr #I actually don’t know what I’m gonna do with this character besides Put Them In Situations with other ppls ocs.. so if you have #a lmk oc you have been warned /lh /j #I wanna make some backstory art for them though.. maybe even the animatic treatment if I can get through dear wormwood which is 25 #SECONDS OUT OF 3 MIN BTW #doodles #Lego Monkie kid #lmk #Monkie kid #lmk oc #monkie kid oc #myart #my art #xin ya

Well, on the upside, Veilguard’s absolutely horrid writing and utter lack of meaningful roleplay mechanics made me appreciate Inquisition’s already watered-down writing and roleplay mechanics.

#Emmrich’s pretty much the only decent companion but my god.#This game feels like a daycare simulator.#No option but to be nice to and validate everyone even when they’re being objectively awful themselves (looking at Taash in particular)#The stakes should feel high but instead I just feel like I’m babysitting toddlers #And normally I’m a completionist who loves doing all the quests but the game actively forces you into it #You HAVE to recruit all the companions; you HAVE to baby and validate them all; you HAVE to complete all their quests #No option to even mention the supposed Dire Stakes of the universe.#The game treats you like you’re seven and over-explains everything to you. The maps are terrible even if they look good.#The voice acting for a few companions is… questionable.#For a game we waited ten years for it feels like someone’s rough/unfinished first draft.#And again no truly meaningful roleplay choices or actions.#The game just forces you to be nice to everyone. Rook feels like an inveterate spectator and an invertebrate to boot. Utterly spineless.#Every time we see a returning companion I feel like Hadvar: ‘Who… are you?’#Because they act nothing like their previously established personalities & it’s like Veilguard goes out of its way to ignore previous games #The head writer’s self-insert is painfully obvious and atrociously-written in particular #You can only be a Good Nice Guy #Maybe sometimes a Stern Nice Guy and very occasionally a Nice Guy Who Thinks He’s Funny But Isn’t #Just! status effect “mentally clocked in” needs to be nerfed. i can feel my mood decay in real time while doing absolutely fucking nothing.

#i‚ high calibre dumbass that i am‚ agreed to take on a second news paper route for a few weeks #thinking for sure the heat won’t be so bad at the end of august #which was already a massive mistake #and then apparently something absolutely catastrophic happened in production so deliveries were delayed #and they couldn’t tell us for sure when deliveries would be done #so i was checking a nearby delivery point every hour since 8pm #(usually they’re already there by 4pm)#in the end i started my route at 2am and had to cut it short because exhaustion and the fucking sun kicked in when i was only halfway done #and of course whenever there are production issues #it’s because the publisher sold so much ad space the papers were thrice as thick as normal #so i’m dealing with the heat‚ baseline double workload + paper thickness multiplier #and i’m jittery because i have an unfinished task just hanging over my head and can do nothing about it until tonight #good #great #i lost 2 days over 6 hours’ worth of minimum wage #i know my brain loves to set itself on fire over schedule changes but this is ridiculous

#it’s up in the air rn I could change my mind #I was reading old fic and. yeah. yeah #their whole like. thing in radz at han before eyrie returns to sharlayan and meets wuk lamat #the whole could it work out if things had been different #if they were both different people. but maybe they never would have fallen in love #the horrid thing is that Estinien is terribly in love w eyrie still #all through DT it’s like. he still loves them so so much #time makes the heart fonder but he was already so fond #and eyrie is too. seeing Estinien in the throne room was just like a punch to the gut #of how much they did miss him #and they catch him afterwards before he leaves #they spend an evening together out in tural #augh they’re eating my brain #I do think in post-DT they are approaching being together again #eyrie set aside a lot of stuff in DT #it wasn’t easy that’s for sure but it’s different compared to ShB and EW #in a way it’s like how their time in the firmament finally let them put haurchefant to rest #the way the yok huy see death lets them….come to terms with the grief and loss of hydaelyn #they spend a lot of time with the yok huy after DT #we’re talking weeks of time being a recluse in the mountains #they glue a lot of journal pages into these wide drawing spaces #and they make large paintings akin to the yok huy murals #one for venat. for themis. for their dearest ardbert #there’s an unfinished one for Hermes and Zenos #they healed a lot in DT #oc: eyrie kisne #dawntrail spoilers #endwalker spoilers #I’m messy and I’m gonna work on my timeline now
