god i have so many theories about 4 minutes but my brain refuses to let me find a chronological order to explain everything so i’m just gonna throw this one out here

i think this break up was a cover up

and that the girl from the online gambling that got killed is doctor natcha. for reasons that have yet to be explained, she was working undercover to try and take the whole thing down

and doctor tyme knows, he’s part of the operation

which is why he went after korn, he’s probably the person natcha called while she was being chased

and the fact that tyme went immediately after the new big boss makes me think that he knew exactly who great was the moment he read his name on the flower card

the surname gave it away. and that might be one of the reasons tyme keeps stalking great like a champion

also an interesting detail is that tyme and great only met because great saw the future and managed not to fully hit the lady with the car, taking them all to the hospital

talking about the lady, her son killed himself over debt he couldn’t pay

she doesn’t say what kind of money he owed but what if it’s gambling and he’s definitely not the first person to die over this hence the whole undercover operation

it’s all connected and as the timelines change, things get even more intertwined

watching xianxia is so fun because usually when i'm halfway through a drama and i want to reblog things, i have to be really careful when going through the tag and not look too closely at anything to try not to accidentally spoil stuff that happens later

but when i watch a xianxia drama and go through the tag i'm totally fine even if i look at everything because absolutely none of it makes any goddamn sense out of context. like i find gifsets of the main characters getting married. in one they're getting married to other people and in another they're getting married to each other. twice. then i find gifsets of those same characters dying in five different ways. in one scene one is dying in the other’s arms. in the next scene they’re dying together. someone straight up disintegrates into glitter. and i still have no idea if any of them end up alive or dead or married or alone or what on earth happens at the end

Hmm, I would say yes but conditionally. Wei Wuxian in his normal life does not shy away from making his hurts known, such as when he’s beat as punishment in the Cloud Recesses or the Lotus Pod Seeds extra when he complains about being attacked by Madam Yu and the lotus pond owner. He also yells at Su She for shooting him in the arm in the xuanwu of slaughter cave.

There are also times when he brushes off his pain due to the overall situation, such as when he’s trying to stop Mianmian’s crying after he gets branded protecting her or when he’s attempting to convince Lan Wangji to use all of their limited medicinal herbs on his leg instead of Wei Wuxian’s brand. Even when Jin Ling stabs him, he rages for a little after waking from his coma then shrugs it off. It’s not that they don’t matter to him in these moments, per se, but he’s used to it so he’s better able to move on and lock in on the real issues at hand. There’s simply no time or space to wallow in pain.

The only time he’s ever hidden or deflected his own pain is with the golden core transfer, and that situation had nothing to do with how Wei Wuxian regularly deals with pain and everything to do with the fact that he couldn’t make his pain known, lest Jiang Cheng find out about the golden core transfer and lose his will to live again. He probably would have loved ro have confided in Lan Wangji about how he felt and acted spoiled with Jiang Yanli to be comforted, but he simply could not due to circumstances.
