i hate when it's like. not so much "HE WOULD NOT FUCKING SAY THAT" as it is "this just doesn't quite make sense." because you can get like. five chapters into a fic before it finally gets to you that it feels OOC, but by then you might be genuinely interested in the base premise even the characterization is getting worse with each new chapter.

You know like when you're on social media when a show is coming out, and your like oh my God I love this theory it's so fascinating it would be so interesting if this happened - BUT NOT IN THIS SHOW STOP THIS NOW.

Like when doctor who series 14 was coming out this year, the "TV show" theory was reallllyyyy big, and detailed. And there was so much cool stuff on Tumblr, and the theories were so detailed, and there was that one hugely obscure new-ish EU novel people were feeding off of, and everything.

And i thought it was fascinating. And tbh would be more interesting than how the series wrapped up (I felt very undersatisfied, it felt like they tried to do almost a 7b Clara arc? but then the twist was that it was nothing, which is okay but for like a whole arc? go on, give us nothing. it felt overhyped from prev episodes.)

But the theories, despite being really cool, I was very aware that it would not be a good idea for them/it to come true.

Because a TV show reveal, would completely change the genre and tone of a show. And while that could be great for a show that like had a set ending, would have this big reveal, then only one or two more series before ending, Doctor Who is not like that. A TV show theory twist isn't something you can come back from, revert to the sci-fi nature of doctor who that it's always been. Doctor Who does not have an ending, it's not trying to wrap up everything for ever, it's lasted 60 years so far, and God knows how many more years it will last for.

So while I loved theorising for fun and games on that sort of stuff, I don't understand how some people thought it might actually happen.

The Tina/Jimmy Jr Jealousy is on the spicier side, pretty short but still good practice for that sort of thing.

I remember wanting to explore a slightly older them, as well as digging into Jimmy's obvious jealousy. It's a really fun dynamic to write, and I'll post a snippet below for you (⁠｡⁠•̀⁠ᴗ⁠-⁠)⁠✧

He didn't look at her, but his hand was tightly gripping hers.

"Oh. Oh, are you jealous?"

"Tsk, of course I am Tina. I can't help it, I just want you all to myself. You mean so much to me, but you seem interested in every other guy you see."

He pulled her closer.

"What do I have to do to get your attention?" He asked softly.

Tina blushed, her heartbeat racing as a comfortable heat settled in her stomach. He was only a few inches taller than her, but as he pulled her tight against him and leaned over, it was the perfect height to look up at him.

There was friction in the air as their eyes met, and Tina smirked as she glanced at his lips.

I think I've actually spoken on the Chlouise meetcute file before, but it's always so fun.

The tl;dr is that Zeke drags Louise to the gym, she ends up seeing Chloe from across the room and not recognizing her. Of course she thinks that she's really attractive, convinces Zeke to help find out if she's straight, Zeke recognizes her and hold it over Louise's head for a while. Louise eventually talks with Chloe and figures it out, but is still way too attracted to her. Cue cute little gym rivalry between them which eventually escalates and there is tension and someone inevitably asks someone out

Tragically, I've only really gotten around to writing bits of the first act, but even still I think it is such and interesting way to bring up some rivalry action for adults who used to know each other but not really. There are a few fun surprising character moments planned for both of them (⁠ ⁠ꈍ⁠ᴗ⁠ꈍ⁠)

i just. remembered again that i have a fembaru fic but also the premise is. Very Messed Up hah and also it was written before the canon genderbent au with its official genderbend names for everyone so its also outdated on top of that T^T i had like. Genderqueer subtext going on too. but i also wrote this fic like almost two years ago and havent touched it in forever so im unsure if i should go back to it…. o.o but i would love to finish it one day if only for my own satisfaction hah… i had a very detailed outline for ch 2 (its a twoshot) and several scenes written already anyway!! (and also i would probably update those names, make minor edits, etc etc hmm…)

Yu starts dating Rise first. When there are others present, Yosuke is all "ughhh coupless keep rubbing it on us singles' faces why don't you" and nobody really takes him seriously. It's Yosuke, he complains. (Not like he's the only one who's a little bit annoyed.) But when it's just him and Yu.. Yu notices that it like, actually bothers him quite a bit.

Now, Yu is an intuitive person. It doesn't take him long to notice there's something more to Yosuke's jealousy than he willingly lets on. So he takes it up with Rise; he would love going out with him too, but obviously he'll forget all about it if Rise has even the slightest opposition to it.

And Rise knows he means it. She isn't thrilled about the idea of sharing her boyfriend, but she also knows Yu wouldn't be able to just let it be. He can't leave people alone with their sorrows; it's what she likes about him in the first place. She's a bit apprehensive, but she wants Yu to be happy, and she knows he couldn't be, knowing someone else is sad and there's something he could do about it. Yu has too much love in him to constrict it to one person.

So they have this arrangement. Yu goes out with both of them, mostly one-on-one, and the Investigation Team still has its group outings, but the three of them start spending more time together as a trio as well. Yu is already a confidant to them both, but they also get to see sides to each other they couldn't before.

And so it just happens that their feelings develop (if "change" is too drastic a word; they did like and care about each other already, after all). The arrangement is arranged a little more, so they're all going out together. There are three couples, and one entity. Nobody really saw it happening when they started out, but it's a positive development. I don't know how to wrap this up bye

I’m thinking that after the events of the last wish, puss would have to get used to being careful about certain things. Which is absurd cause he is puss in boots! he shouldn’t be afraid of danger, danger should be afraid of him! but thankfully he’ll have help from both kitty soft paws and purrito, since I’d imagine kitty would be the holder of the brain cell majority of the time.

Puss, looking at a menu in a seafood restaurant: hey! that shrimp fried rice looks awfully tasty, tell me- I’m sure you must get this question a lot but- is it true that a shrimp fried this rice?

Kitty groans as she leans over and covers her face as purrito starts laughing from beside her, thinking that puss had made a joke, even though the tomcat had been dead serious, which just made it worse. “dios mío…”

Kitty shortly afterwards carries several epi pens on her, cause puss had actually tried to eat the shrimp fried rice and had an allergic reaction to it. Thankfully someone in the restaurant had an epi pen on them, and ran over and administered the shot (puss was so dazed at this point that he didn’t even notice) which thankfully worked it’s magic and saved his life.

Shortly after puss had fully recovered from his near death experience, kitty almost strangled him when he told her that something like that had happened before “So, your telling me….THAT YOUR ALLEGIC TO SHELL FISH. AND YOU DIDN’T THINK TO TELL ME!?”

Puss, confused: what? I’m not allergic to shell fish, I’m allergic to shrimp.

Kitty: *Clenches paws so tight that her knuckles crack* Eres. tan. estúpido.
