I will say that, as someone who takes care of an 8 year old, it is pretty hilarious to think about Dick fighting crime so young. Like there's just packs of animal crackers in the batmobile because Dick will get hungry during the middle of a case. And god forbid Bruce forgets to pack a water bottle for Dick because then he'll just hear a litany of, "I'm thirsty, I need water." I mean, I know Dick is usually depicted as more mature/responsible than your average kid, but it's so funny to think about Bruce and Alfred having to deal with some of those typical kid needs and behaviors.

long story short I saw a cool bag on pinterest while I was looking for crochet patterns but there was no fucking pattern but one of my friends found a pattern for a similar but not quite bag so I watched an hour long video, transcribed it into text, and am now gonna make a wholeass backpack just because Sunflower Vibe

Here is the finished version of my smaller & simplified Hierophant embroidery design! It measures 3.5 inches wide rather than 6.25 like my larger and more complex pattern, and I tried a different color palette for the background to bring it closer to the original card. It's still not perfect but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

This pattern takes a lot less time than the bigger one, so is more approachable. Both these patterns and my other designs will be available in my new etsy store as I finish writing out instructions and uploading them :)

This finished piece will also be for sale for anyone interested, and I am taking limited embroidery commissions for now.

and he ought to do the same, but he’s rooted to the spot, gripping his bottle tight. his eyes are glued to how your lip’s caught in your teeth. the subtle heave of your chest. if he didn’t know any better, a little shiver ran down your spine when the wax hit. he hears your friend ask if you’re alright, and you stammer out a quiet just a little warm.

he finishes his beer on the spot and swiftly pulls out his phone to shop. he has questions. experimentation is a must. he’ll have to bring you around to the idea. coax the words out of your mouth. whatever lets him see that glow in your eye again will be worth it.

his mind leaps ahead to your birthday. he wonders if he could work up up to that number in time.

whoever needs to hear this: if you got a disability, if you don’t know if you have something, if you ever think “it’s not that bad” if you have a thing about guilt, if you’re ill, Anything: listen. it is okay to throw things away.

you can throw it away. if it sucks and it stresses you the fuck out, if you just “need the right time to fix it” for the past 3 months. or years. if you loved it once upon a time but it makes you feel kinda weird and guilty now. if it’s a jacket youve reaaaally been meaning to mend and then donate. a jar of sauce that “all you have to do” is clean out to recycle but it’s been a week and now there’s a small colony growing in it. slowly shredding to bits fabric scraps you plan to use to fix something. busted picture frame. cracked mug. old shoes. extra box. an entire pack of granola bars that you hate so much but don’t want to waste.

life is already so goddamn difficult for us. i know you still care about recycling and the environment and sustainability. but it’s okay, i promise. sometimes you have to take care of your space. sometimes you have to cut your losses so you can actually have energy to recycle the next thing. get rid of the old shirt before it turns into a tornado pile of guilt under the bed. you’re not a bad person. you can throw this one away.

Life update? Working everyday making pins, art prints, and stickers so I haven't had a lot of time to write or stream, which is making me a lil crazy cause I'm stressed tf out and its freaking my body out especially because there is a deadline fast approaching

As soon as this is over though, I'm gonna hard throw myself into writing because everyday I think about that ballroom chapter and the kallamar fight
