He will stop anything he's doing to pet a cat though-

•Dallas is capable of shamelessly eating almost half a gallon of ice cream in a day (he'll probably feel a little sick after though)

•Salvatore sometimes sleeps in late because he spent the night binge watching a series even though he knows he wasnt supposed to

•Vincenzo likes the feeling of chalk

•Momo is guilty of scooping dirt or rocks in her mouth and eating it

•Dell likes watching kid's movies/anime/animated stuff from time to time

•Faust doesnt consider his guilty pleasures "guilty" because he just does what he wants (although he'd be lying if he said he's never been tempted to break heartsabyul rules sometimes)

•Banji could eat an entire table of food by himself and then taking a fat nap after

•Kamïk is another snooping bitch- except he doesnt leave it at just social media, but rather spies on students that catch his interest

•Clover likes reading cliché romance novels sometimes

•Avery sometimes writes novels based on things she wishes happened to herself or others

•Jolie sometimes re-watches movies she used to like as a kid (she's also the type of person to silently laugh as Mufasa dies so take that as you will)

•Since Pepper takes classes online, he sometimes takes classes in pjs

•Wolfo is guilty of eating bits and pieces of the thing he's cooking/baking while he's cooking/baking it (i.e. eating cookie dough batter)

•Poppet doesnt bite kids, but he is guilty of tripping kids with his tail and then pretending he didnt do it

•Seine feels very guilty when he oversleeps (happens rarely, even though he enjoys the extra sleep)

•Toma likes strange food combos from time to time (like ice cream and fries, chocolate w chips, watermelon w salt and lemon, etc)

•Vysio prefers taking showers with Yuto/any partners she may have (not obligatory though!)

•Yuto's stash of shiny things is a guilty pleasure itself

•Astoria has a stash of gemstones

•Elbarnes sometimes gets impulsive thoughts after leaving something spotless like

"Ah, that was really nice!" (What if we made it filthy) "STOP IT-"

•Chepi likes pineapple on pizza but doesnt eat it in front of people b she fears judgement

•Mavis actually likes the custom-made/extra small stuff she has to use (due to her extremely small size), as much as she says she hates it

•Eves is guilty of napping wherever the hell he wants and also prone to getting the zoomies

•Wallace is guilty of trying to spy on specific students

•Amos likes to imitate the dance moves of characters in series/movies he likes

•Enid sometimes unintentionally listens in on gossip, feels a bit guilty after

•Lorien likes to imagine stabbing any particularly annoying students with his sword (would never actually do it though!)

•Jessica likes watching people embarrass themselves, regardless of how old they are

•Oceana is guilty of having a plushie hoard

•Indira is guilty of binge eating from time to time

•Torimiya feels guilty to indulge in cheesecake cravings

•Asahise also has a plushie army and binges cartoons from time to time

•Tokki sometimes likes to use his jump rope, not just as his signature weapon, but also just for fun

•Kuru actually likes/loves a good chunk of people she says she hates and feels guilty if they get genuinely sad

•Yaku just likes wearing sunglasses bc he thinks they make him look cool (specifically the red ones)

•Santiago sometimes wears crocs (the shoe)

•Jaiden turns on a star projector almost every night when he cant fall asleep

•Mindel likes listening to people, regardless of wether its unintenional snooping or not

•Kendall LOVES gossip. He's more than happy to spill the tea

•Charlene just cant help but give a good chunk of people the mom treatment, she just likes treating people to nice things

•Deedee sometimes mimics the voices of people she doesnt like and says things she knows they would never say just to mock them

•Janus cant help but be very disappointed when he gets chocolate cake without strawberries/has another fruit in it, they make a difference to him😤

•"Dolly" doesnt really consider any of her behaviour something to feel guilty about

•Lucinda just likes looking at people, not talking to them, just looking at how widely different the students here can be

•Panko, despite being mostly sleepy, loves giving affection to other students

•Pattie absolutely loves dresses, especially ones that show off their beautiful legs

•When not in class, Connie likes to spend time in the gardens!

•Jasper sometimes likes to imagine what his classmates/dormates would look like as animals/bugs (he just thinks they're cute)

i never know how to phrase it but something about the way beatles biographers and people in general view paul's reflexive placating persona and determination to smooth things over as manipulative or duplicitous and john's reflexive barbed persona and habit of lashing out as brave and subversive despite both being equally defensive mechanisms to shield themselves from the world that resulted in them saying things that weren't true says more about how we culturally view kindness or friendliness as inherently untrustworthy or flimsy and anger and carelessness as more believable as someone's true nature than it says about either of them in actuality

i'm surprised i haven't seen any text posts yet about the Unsubtle Differences between astarion’s tiefling party/high approval forest scene and the one you get after the goblin party.

there’s something so terribly interesting about how the conversation afterward plays out depending on which variation you pursue.

like, most people have seen the tiefling party version by now. astarion basking in the sunlight the morning after, playing off most of what tav says with relative ease, even when they ask about his scars and he tells them about cazador. his cadence is smooth and composed, his smile almost friendly, even though you know, as the viewer, he’s playing a game of manipulation at this point. the only real crack in his demeanor is if tav notices that cazador’s “poem” was written in infernal, which, understandably, startles him.

but recently i watched the goblin party version of this same scene, and everything reads so differently. unlike at the tiefling party, it’s still the middle of the night when astarion tries to leave, thinking tav is asleep—almost immediately after the act, in fact. when tav does speak to him, he’s visibly nervous, halting and stammering in the middle of lines delivered unflinchingly in the other version of the scene. he gestures broadly and fidgets more while talking, his smile comes and goes. there’s even some of his distinctive high pitched, fake laughter sprinkled throughout the exchange, almost identical to later scenes where he's very, very obviously uncomfortable (like if raphael mocks him and magics off astarion's shirt to show the party his scars in act 2, or when confronting the gur children in their cell in act 3, etc etc).

siding with the goblins represents something deeply familiar to astarion, a level of cruelty he's more than familiar with and embraces likely because cruelty and duplicity, to him, go hand-in-hand with the power and freedom he craves so badly—but he won't stay the night with this tav, even if he approves of their actions. no, in this case, he'll keep to what's familiar and attempt to leave them in the forest under the cover of the very same darkness he resents having been cast into by cazador. when he gets caught, it sets him on edge, and everything he says becomes such a blatant lie to save face that tav would have to be completely oblivious not to see through him, or maybe just not care enough to.

but if tav saves the refugees? challenges his worldview and comes out victorious? oh, he'll complain of the poor rewards for his trouble at the party and whine about it being boring, but he decides to stay with tav through the night while they're asleep and on past dawn. he takes a moment to enjoy the morning sunlight, returned to his life after two centuries without. the same is true if you have high enough approval that he asks before the party, in which case, you've almost certainly hit his biggest approval gains: trusting him and supporting his safety. maybe he doesn't trip over his words when he speaks because, well, maybe this is someone he doesn't have to worry about. someone who's already more than proven themselves a foolish, heroic sort with a bleeding heart or otherwise demonstrated that they're already in his corner. in other words, not a threat—at least not to him.

does any of this make sense. i wanna study this guy under a microscope.
