When Olivia is with Brian we see her laying on him in public, pushing herself underneath his arm so he'll hold her in the kitchen, snuggling with him on the couch. When she's with David we see her wearing his shirt, nuzzling all over him. She kisses Tucker's hands in public. She is tactile in a relationship (and she let Brian, at least, call her babe) and more than that she seeks it out. She initiates touch, she wants to touch and be touched, she wants to be held, wants to be close. And for thirteen years she never really touched Elliot; he reaches for her neck but when does she touch him? A brush on his arm to get his attention, checking him over when he's injured - you can only hold him when he's dying - but he initiates their first hug and their second hug is sort of mutual and what else is there? From her side? She does not ask him for that comfort (though he does offer it without being asked). Not from him.

And then he comes back and she is holding his hand at occb when Kathy is barely cold?? Olivia being the one to reach for his hand is monumental, not just because they're touching, not just bc it's sweet, but bc Olivia is behaving with Elliot the way she behaves with men she's romantically attached to - she is reaching for him, physically and emotionally. She's being vulnerable with him by exposing the soft, tender part of herself that longs for that touch, that comfort. And she keeps doing it! They keep hiding it out of frame but she's grabbing his hand in the intervention, for example. Like just at the edge of our vision, she is holding on to him. Reaching for him.

Cannot stress ear plugs for pride events more !!! Originally I avoided all pride events myself for the reasons I'm about to state, but I went to Houston pride a few years ago to march in it with my mom and some of the people she was contracted with at her job at the time, and while I don't have misophonia, I do have issues with overly loud and crowded areas due to other things . By the end of the night when the adrenaline died down, I was damn near in the grave . Took me a couple weeks to recover, but I know if I'd have had ear plugs, it'd have been a WAY different story 😭

Oh man I really appreciate you trying to help, but already I do not go in public without both ear plugs and noise canceling headphones on my person. Normally I only ever need one or the other at a time but in this case even wearing both simultaneously didn't even begin to help. Genuinely don't think there's anything I could have done short of being actually deaf
