My name is TUDWAL. I’ve seen plenty of— other ‘Evil Teams’ on here— So I’m not afraid to make an account any more…
I’m part of NEO TEAM SNAGEM. As an intern— not a GRUNT, I’m more important than that!
We didn’t disband— we’re just waiting for our leader to come back— she will— honest—!
I’m good at making SHADOW POKÉMON. R-real good. My mentor says I have a gift. It is a gift to give the world more obedient Pokémon— after all.
You can ask me about joining TEAM SNAGEM— if you want. We’re not accepting people but— donations— sure…!

Team Neo-Snagem’s newest scientist, Tudwal is a fidgety, un-empathetic teen who only cares about Pokémon if they behave. His definition of ‘behaving’ seems to be shaky at best, and completely arbitrary at worst.
He is cowardly, and soft spoken, but still a cruel person. He will openly speak about harming Pokémon and people who are in the way of his beloved organization. Getting under his skin from behind the screen isn’t particularly easy, but it can be done.
Themes of Pokémon abuse, organized crime, and other associated topics are prevalent on the blog for plot reasons. If you don’t like my writing or what I write about, please just leave me alone.
Please don’t send me any asks that are even vaguely suggestive.

Evil Team
Hiden away on Luxure is an evil team dubbed Team Siren. A team of overindulgence and lust.
Leader: Jessie
Jessie knows she is attractive, but also knew she had enough being some bottom rung on the ladder. Finding out about Luxure, using some connections to sneak onto the island, she ended up with a few other past villains. Finding out about the Gijinkamon phenomenon and what a few others where planning... Jessie used her seductive skills and ended up taking over the orginisation
She was never going to bow to someone else ever again. Now all will worship her boots!
Admins
Malva
Malva is a very sensual being. And with Lysander's plan failing... well she naturally fell in with Team Siren. As most saw her as an innocent TV news woman and a member of the Kalos Elite 4, not realising she was technically as double agent to help Team Siren slip around the Pokemon Ranger
Courtney
Courtney was always eager to please, always happy to let others take control. She did as she commanded. And so, obeying Jessie and becoming hers was easy as could be
Shelly
Shelly clashed with the rest of the team when she first joined, but all it took was for Jessie to show off some of her skills and the former Team Aqua Admin was an eager follower of their goal.
Mars
When Mars found out about Team Siren's plans, she instantly offered to join. The chaos it would cause being just oh so wonderful~
Plumeria
Plumeria is the only member of the Team who does not believe in Jessie's goal. She is only here because of the Team Skull members who had ended up within Team Siren, and she was determined to keep them safe.
Grunts
There are grunts from every Evil Team on Team Siren. And as they have no uniform, they keep their own style from when they where
Their Goal
Now many of you may be asking "The hell does Team Siren WANT?! And what are they even DOING?!"
Well, glad you asked!
What Team Siren are doing are kidnapping people and Pokemon to run tests on them. Trying to create something... special.
Scientists working on using Salazzle phermones to hypnotise/turn people in sex pets. Which is basically Jessie's end goal, to turn herslef into the Worlds Dominatrix. All under her heel!
But she needed more help than she thought she would. And so, out comes their new lead scientist...
Professor Juniper!
During the story of Luxure, Professor Juniper is kidnapped by Team Siren and put under the process that bent her to Jessie's will.
With these effects in play, their advancement skyrockets and soon they have it... Team Siren's end goal.
Mega Salazzle
Using research on almost every type of strange phenomenon out there in the Pokemon World, from Regional Variants to Tera Types to Paradox Pokemon to Mega Evolution and more, as well as Juniper's knowledge on Pokemon biology, Jessie's goal was finally realised
Creating a Gijinka Mega Salazzle. Their ultimate weapon who's phermones are now so powerful, that the world will be warped to be its slaves. And as it belongs to Jessie, hers as well.
A Poison/Fire/Psychic Type Pokemon with stats comparable to a Legendary and a unique Ability "Queen's Comandment" (This Ability allowing working like "As One", where it now has two abilities. It's original "Corrosion" Ability and a second ability that allows its Fire Type to change any time the opponent attacks, changing her Secondary Type to whatever recives the least damage from the attack sent her way).
Do not try using Normal, Fighting, Ghost, Poison, Ground, Electric, Psychic or Dragon moves on her as she will become immune
She also has all G-Max moves as well. She is a moss, a monster. A final challenge. Can you defeate her and save the world?
Total Muses: 8/Infinity (Depending on how you count the Grunts) (Also, not counting Juniper here, no repeates)

So now that's the final chapter of the Villain Arc/Paulo's arc is fully out, a summary of my thoughts. This'll probably be long-winded and rambley, so please bear with me:
Cons:
We waited 3yrs for Paulo to snap and become a villain. He was only a villain for, like, 1.5 Interludes and 3 to 5min into a roughly ~40min story chapter. Talk about underwhelming for just how long we waited... (A friendly rival being corrupted into a villain is something I always wanted to see Pokemon do, too.)
Paulo is shown to be very observant, so it feels foolish that he would charge right into Giovanni's base after seeing how TR's played the other villain teams like a fiddle. You think he won't do the same thing to Hoopa?
It was kinda lame that it took just one line from Giovanni to sway Hoopa. I guess because Paulo had taken that power from Lear, while Giovanni had power of his own with being an experienced villain boss and the guy who tamed and commanded Mewtwo? 🤔 I just wish we got more of a fight out of it.
Missed opportunities for the player/Lear to have interactions with Paulo as the villain. Like, we didn't even really get a reaction from Lear to Hoopa getting stolen/forcibly driven into a rage-state, until everything was said and done??? And even then, Lear's praising Paulo for drawing out Hoopa's power??? It just feels very weird.
I feel this is the only game that they could do the sort of storyline in, where the rival-turned-villain wants to eliminate all the world's evil, even if he must become evil himself, since we have almost all of the series' major villains on Pasio.
I was hoping for more cross-game villain interactions since it was something that I wanted to see all the way back in RR, and then they give us Lusamine, Lysandre, and Rose all teaming up over Team Break. That was really cool, but it would have been hype if we got more villains banding together to defend themselves and their organizations from Break.
Several villains don't have alts still, and we're missing most of the admins aside from TR's, Plumeria, and Courtney. Team Flare's are still MIA (at least Xerosic, since Mable, Celosia, Bryony, and Aliana aren't really that notable) Moreover, the various grunts themselves were datamines with all the regular dialogue, so it seems like they're expected to be Scouted at some point.
It's also notable that it feels like the BW arc ended pretty openly with it never being clarified if N retrieved his Reshiram. I know I wondered about there being a Pt3, with alts going to Ghetsis, Rosa, and Nate, at least until they announced Kalos. Even as the conclusion was coming, I was thinking we might get Ghetsis with W-Kyurem as one of the anniversary pairs, and him/Giovanni trying to take advantage of Paulo creating chaos with the villain teams on Pasio would be one of the driving conflicts in the next storyline.
I feel they could have added AZ in a VA Pt2 arc too, given him and Lysandre are related? I always wanted more interaction between them than what we got, plus there was that whole established parallel to Lysandre and Paulo (with Paulo even about to attack, or potentially even kill, some disarmed grunts in a similar manner to how Lysandre did), and there's a bit of a connection between Paulo and AZ with how they were willing to go to such extremes, since the two of them were driven to do what they do because of a loss of their beloved Pokemon partner.
As for the final chapter itself, kinda a missed opportunity to see the villains again when the tide against Rocket finally turns, and any other possible interactions we could see. Some after-the-battle dialogue would have just been fun.
It's frustrating because Masters generally has pretty solid storytelling! They've even fixed problems I've had with a few mainline game portrayals, like with Sycamore, and given development to characters the mainline games failed, like Cyrus.
A few pros to balance things out:
I loved the villains joining the fight all over Pasio. Including Lys when you think that TR's rampant greed is just the thing that would make him royally snap on everyone again (since Flare was developing some new weapon), but nah, he means it about letting the chosen ones decide the future.
I loved the interactions we got with Archie/Maxie and Colress/N! It's nice how Archie and Maxie continue to be the two (divorced) dads of Hoenn with their dialogue to Paulo about the similarities to them and him, and how they didn't want him making the same kinds of mistakes.
Ghetsis showing up to help, largely because he was salty about Giovanni doing what HE wanted to do and throwing a bit of a tantrum over it was the funniest thing.
I like how Gio is out there, still scheming. He even seems to take an interest in Paulo still, going by him watching the battle with you and Paulo at the end, focusing on him specifically.

WIBTA if I tried to get my superior fired from our evil team?
So... I work as a grunt for an evil team. Possibly one of the wost out there; it doesn't even put "team" in front of the name. The BIG boss says we're too good for that.
I'm on a work trip with my superior, one of the admins, who is honestly... REALLY cool. She's kinda cold and distant. But she treats us well. Big boss just calls us "grunts"; she bothers to try and remember our names, which isn't easy since we all have helmets that cover half of our faces when we're in-uniform.
She's competent too. Shitty as the boss treats her, she either gets the job done or she finds another way.
Problem is: When I say the boss treats her bad, I'm not kidding. She'll stay weeks in the base, trying to get shit done without going home. She pulled a week's worth of all-nighters before we even left for this trip (she's resting more NOW, since we're away - we're allowed to stay here as long as we need to do the job so we're giving ourselves some room to enjoy the trip). He also blames her for other shit that he KNOWS wasn't her fault - just because... Well, I don't even know why.
It's clear she hates it. And she cares too much about Pokemon to truly be comfortable with what we do.
He doesn't treat any of us well. But he's most especially hard on her. But I know he probably wouldn't let her go easily if she ever tried to quit (which I know she won't - not sure why. She just says she needs the job); she's the only one on the team with her skill set; he'd give her anything to keep her around.
It'd suck to see her go, but. It also sucks to see her miserable. So I've been thinking of trying to falsely conspire against her. Convince the boss that he SHOULDN'T trust her. Make him believe that firing her would be BETTER for the team, so she could be free of him... Free of us.

some stuff about team magma
-this stuff is specific to my world's team magma, i know there's a lot of magmas out there.
-yes i know im from the evil team magma.
-so my magma was led by this guy named Maxie? I think he was a scientist but i was a mere grunt so. we weren't close.
-i think Maxie used to know my father? so. thats kinda interesting
-on my magma, we had 4 admins, Courtney, Courtney, Tabitha, and Blaze. yea we had two courtneys. they are twins.
-the twins are maxie's daughters.
-look i get my father is not going to be winning any father of the year awards but at least he did not name me and my identical twin the same thing (i dont have a twin)
-the twins help their dad with research. they are both scientists but sometimes i'll catch one of them outside in the berry field? i think the twins are about my age.
-tabitha was mainly in charge of the grunts, so he was who we saw most often.

KNIGHT I GOT ANOTHER AU IDEA FOR THE CHAMPIONS
You ever watched Final Destination? Or any of its sequels? Anyways if you haven’t, it’s pretty much starts with a group of people getting into an accident and all of them dying with the main character seeing everyone’s death before dying themselves. But then the MC “wakes up” a couple of minutes before the accident happens, they make a scene and scare the people in that group into getting away from the accident, saving their lives. But then they all start dying in the order the MC saw because Death is coming for them
Anyways, for this AU we’re gonna ignore the last sentence cause it wouldn’t work with this AU. I just needed something for an example
For this AU idk who we’re going to make the “Main Character” whether it be one of our favourites, Diantha or Iris, or one of the other champions?
Or maybe even ALL of the champions saw their deaths? Idk you can chose your favourite
But yeah, the scenario I had was either the Villain teams from each region kidnap and kill the champions in a show of power, to say that even the strongest trainers cannot stop them, or a Pokémon causes mass destruction around the world and none of the Champions would stop it
For the first scenario if we go with it, I imagine the villain teams teamed up with each other to form Rainbow Rocket, and decided to announce their alliance by killing the champions and declaring the world is THEIRS to rule
Like they sent grunts and admins to attack the cities where the Champions live. I fully believe the Champions are capable of winning this fight but for people like Lance, Cynthia, and Iris, they have family living in the same city/town. I bet they used that to their advantage and went after Drayden, Clair, and Cynthia’s sister and practically used them as a shield. Told the champions to surrender and mocked them for choosing to save their family over the thousands of people they could be saving instead
So yeah, they all eventually get kidnapped one way or another and get killed by Team Rainbow Rocket. But then they wake up a few days before it happens with the knowledge of what’s to come within the next days
But idk, it’s 11:00pm and if you have a better scenario then I’d love to hear it. Or if this makes much sense lmao
Ohhhhh👀👀👀
No shit I and my friends only saw some of the death scenes in those films lol and we watched it in the school's library back then during our elementary years hahahah it was an experience man, surprising we didn't get caught especially w how gory it was hahaha
But damn that's cool tho👀👀 low-key that reminds me of the rebellion au where the champions died, but at least in this au they could somewhat stop the threat instead of just dying like that bc they were caught off guard or luck just weren't on their side
But that's gotta fuck em up tho having to dream abt their deaths or at least being in that kinda position, having to decide which is more important, their family or the people of their region/the world
But like yknow, imagine too bc if that came to them as a dream, just how much of it will they actually believe?? I haven't watched any of the films btw so like spare me if some of the stuff I say doesn't fit hahah but y'know, some aren't even sure if it's truly a premonition of their deaths, or if it's just a bad dream and nothing more. Cause maybe some of them were sceptical abt it, maybe they were just being paranoid y'know, but it's also a bit of a wake up call that yeah they have to deal with the evil orgs as soon as possible lest the nightmare turns to a reality, and they'd rather not risk that
They'd be so paranoid tho real, like, imagine Lance being more desperate to find Rocket and finally put an end to them, he's losing sleep bc of it, looking at every nook and cranny on both Johto and Kanto; Steven and Wallace didn't think Aqua and Magma would be such a threat, Sootopolis became so heavily guarded now, the orbs were with Wallace; Cynthia's like really stressed out man, making sure Dawn and Barry doesn't get involved and coming in terms her childhood friend is probs really gonna kill her if she doesn't stop him; Iris became more adamant on stopping Plasma too, almost as desperate as Lance, but there's also that fear that maybe if she leaves Opelucid to hunt down Plasma smth might happen to Drayden; Diantha is also stressed af my guy, if smth happens to her brother, that's really gonna be her villain origin story and if anything, she'll dragb Lysandre to hell with her; Hau's not sure how to approach it too cause y'know, Lusamine is his friends' mother, what whould Gladion and Lillie even say, I mean tbf their relationship w Lusamine isnt all that well anyways, but still, maybe he'd be more cautious now; Leon already had a bad feeling abt Rose, so now he's making sure Hop and Gloria doesn't get too close to the chairman, if whats in his dreams are true, then he has to find the legendary wolves too, and who else knows more abt it than Sonia; Idk what kinda stuff Geeta would have to deal w anyways, maybe the AI profs?? But that'd be dope tho if they become somewhat sentient enough and like, idk, hc that Geeta and Sada/Turo aren't in good terms, and like the AI got corrupted maybe?? Not sure w this one hahah
But man that's dope, like, the paranoia y'know, having to see in great detail just how they're gonna die, and if not them, then their loved ones, or even the people of their region
#real quick tho but the image of leon and sonia w zamazenta and zacian is dope jckxjd#look sorry but im lionheart trash okay chdnxbxn#lowkey just wanna change my hcs abt leon and sonia bc theyre soooooo yknow#anyways#i did like.. thought that maybe dia is the only one who dreamt of the deaths#bc its been a while since i last made dia angst hahahah#next was iris bc ofc main charac moment plus yknow all the iris angst imagine her being so paranoid#cause she knows whatll happen to the other champions to herself and to her friends and family#and if shes the only one who knows abt it imagine how thatd really fuck her up bc she cant be everywhere all at once to help#ough your honour cjmdbdkd#this is dope cjmddb hahaha#pokemon au#pokemon champions#an ask and an answer#jerseyk112

Team Chess
In a region themed around royalty, you need an evil team with a strong theme of their own.
Because of the White/Black dichotomy each color is assigned four types.
Steel, Fighting, Fairy, Ice
Poison, Dark, Ghost, Cosmic
Members
Pawns: The lowest rung of the team, they carry out most of the grunt work. They usually have a Fairy/Poison Podantia, the second stage of the normal/Poison Padant.
Rooks: They are the strategizers of the team, and will sometimes infiltrate unaffiliated locations as a means to secure the team's actions and keep them from being found out. They will have an Ice/Cosmic Golett or Golurk depending on where they're found.
Bishops: The scientists of the group. Will have a regional Fairy/Dark Pawniard when you first meet them. In Queen version they have a Cosmic/Dark Knightslash, or they will have a Fairy/Steel Bisharp in King version.
Knights: The admins of the group. Depending on the version you select, they will either have a Steel/Fighting Rapidash if you choose Queen or a Ghost/Dark Zebstrika if you choose King.
King and Queen: The leaders of the team. Queen will have a Sound/Fairy Operetta while King will have a Sound/Ghost Phantasm. Both evolve from Sound/Normal Trebletor dependent on gender.
Story
According to ancient texts, Merlithe and Nimunia were powerful pokemon, destined to choose a ruler whenever Orvana needed their aid. In many legends, this pair has been remarked as both being at odds with each other but also working together to ensure the region's future. These days, many consider such stories to merely be myths, due to the disappearance of Merlith and Nimunia centuries ago.
Team Chess, however, believes the pair still exist, hidden away as they wait for a champion. Both King and Queen consider themselves as rightful heirs, and thus there are those in the team who explicitly side with one or the other, an uneasy truce held in their search for the great beings.
Due to the fact that Merlith and Nimunia have not been found by any usual methods, Team Chess has begun focusing their efforts on dimensional pockets, forcing reality to tear further than it has in the past and playing god with probability. Eventually, Merlithe and Nimunia will be drawn to these pockets, awakened by their wavering stability and drawn in by the power keeping them open.
If you choose Pokemon Queen, King will break the truce upon capturing Merlith who appears first. From then, it is a race between you and Queen to find Nimunia, after which the two of you enter an uneasy truce of your own to battle King's forces. If you choose Pokemon King, the opposite will occur, and Merlith will be your legendary partner.
This is all for Team Chess, so tune in next time when I update my regional forms and fakemon!

How would you imagine Team Rainbow Rocket if it were to appear in a post-Journeys movie/special? For me, there wouldn't be any alternate evil team leaders involved. Instead, we'd have Giovanni, Matori, Gozu, Atilla, Hun, Pierce, Dr. Zager, Tabitha, Shelly, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Charon, Six Sages (Ghetsis would remain in prison), Aliana, Bryony, Celosia, Mable, Xerosic, Team Flare Admins, Team Rocket, Aqua, Magma, Galactic, Plasma, and Flare grunts, Brodie, Aldith, Schwarz, Weiss, and Barret.
That would be great. But since the Mewtwo movie and Mewtwo Returns special the ones in charge of the anime don't use cannonical Teams as villains :(
Also the new writters doesn't seem to care much about events from the past. They had lots of missed opportunities in Journeys °^°
But, let's imagine it could happen. Possitive thinking ✨
Ash would return to Alola to visit his Alolan family and friends. All happy reunited, then BOOM. An explotion and mysterious grunts invade the Aether Foundation. Chaos y des-con-trooool ♫ ooh ♪ (muy pocos van a leer esto así que puedo escribir cualquier locura que se me cante)
Once the invaders flee and everything calms down, they check the damage. They seem to have stolen something... Faba looks scared and nervous but pretends everything is alright.
Then there is trouble in each of the 4 Alolan islands.
Teams Aqua and Magma (all the same as in the anime) in Akala island. Making plans in Brooklet Hill and the Volcano.
Team Plasma in Ula-Ula wanting to freeze the island.
Team Galactic in the almost empty Poni island.
Team Flare in Melemele. Maybe without Lyssandre because he is dead.
Team Rocket could be in Aether Foundation or the Ultra Space. Giovanni is the one organizing everything and stole blueprints from Faba. The one who tried to recruit but refused to participate.

OC Rambles: Team Rapture Admins and the boss
(Me casually hyperfixating on my fanregion stuff again, sorry for the Pokémon Uranium crossover spam but here’s the basic rundown of Team Rapture’s upper admins and the boss that nobody asked for)
The Team is run by a total of 5 major figureheads, including the Boss himself at the top. The four directly below consist of the organization’s four Admins. Each of them are in charge of a specific function. Similarly to that of the Boss, all 5 of them use code names derived from elements on the Periodic Table (Which is also where most of them get their names from) as well as having their own respective “Hazard/Field Suits” which are derivatives of the Boss’s “RAPTURES Suit (Same goes for the Grunt’s alternate field suits which I’ll explain these more in depth in another post)
“Ir” : (Real name: Dr. Irrian) Team Rapture’s medical officer. He’s responsible for making sure that the organization’s members are in tip-top shape. He’s quite skilled when it comes to treating radiation poisoning as well as having some knowledge on cybernetics as well.
Irrian is best described as a big dork but can be serious when the matter calls for. Namely he’s rather concerned for his boss and fears that he may be pushing himself too hard.
His Ace Pokémon is a Miasmedic.
“Md” : (Real name: Mendel) The IT guy of the group. Mendel’s main job is to make sure that the group’s technology is functioning properly.
He’s a bit of a prankster and good friends with Ruth. It’s not uncommon that his fellow admins find themselves being victims of his pranks, but they are all in good fun.
His Ace Pokémon is a Haagross
“Rf”: (Real name: Rutherford “Ruth”) The maintenance man. While seemingly intimidating on the outside, Ruth in reality is a pretty jovial guy once you get to know him.
He’s good friends with Ruth and the two often pull pranks around base. Their favorite target is Irrian.
His Ace Pokémon is a Luchabra
“Bk” : (Real name: Berkeley “Berks”) Head of security and the Boss’s “Right hand woman”. She can be quite aggressive and ruthless when it comes to battling, espically towards any adversaries who may get in the group’s way.
Yet despite that, Berks cares greatly about her fellow subordinates and like most of Team Rapture, views the group as one big happy family.
It’s well known that her and “R” have a romantic interest in each other and it’s one of the few times a few grunts and Admins have described seeing the Boss “Truly be at ease around her.”
Her Ace Pokémon is a Beliaddon.
====
“R” (Real name: Rayman “Rames” Larkspur): The leader of Team Rapture. The enigmatic and mysterious head of the organization who is almost never seen without his suit on.
His real name is Rayman Larkspur, the biological son of Professor Larkspur whom only planned to use him as a tool to further his own goals and was later left for dead at Plant Epsilon during the meltdown after the former grew suspicious about his plans.
Driven by a desire of revenge for how he was treated as well as what happened to Dr. Lucile, whom he sort of grew to see as a mother figure. R will stop at nothing if it means to track down Larkspur and dispose of him for good, even resulting to tracking down certain groups whom the former had “debts with” through the use of intimidation tactics. He has also made a promise to help Lucile, “perfect what they had created.”.
Despite his outward behaviors and the fact he can be terrifying when mad, deep down Rayman does have good intentions. He wants to find a way to better the world and hates seeing innocent people suffer (Namely by finding a way to properly de-contaminate irratied areas and convince Tandor to switch to a cleaner power source as he’s seen just how dangerous Nuclear Power can be, these two being the main reasons he formed Rapture as a research organization. The Larkspur and Evil Tram hunting is more of a secondary goal.) He’s extremely slow to trust people and often comes off as cold and calculating but will relax around those he feels safe with (Such as Team Rapture, whom he views as pretty much his family).
Rames does struggle with some health issues, many of which were made worse by the Plant Epsilon incident and the main reason his body has a ton of experimental implants in it, curtesy of a “Good friend from Dranowa.” But even then, if he pushes himself it can lead to problems.
His Ace Pokémon is a Nulceon named Pierre and specializes in Nuclear Type Pokémon.
(Aka Rapture is just one giant dysfunctional family of goobers who happen to scare the crap out of whomever gets on their bad side (Namely Team Rocket or Cypher whom are their main targets))

Admins
copied these posts from a 4chan thread where I detailed my extensive thoughts on the middle management of pokemon’s various evil teams. thought people here would enjoy it.
The Galactic Commanders are, in my opinion, the gold standard for evil admins. They've got it all: immediately striking and memorable designs, strong personalities, memorable fights, even a unique battle theme. They also further the separation between Cyrus and the rest of Team Galactic. Cyrus wants to eliminate spirit, but the Commanders are all very lively and emotional. Saturn even says he disagrees with Cyrus and was just along for the ride. Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn are all a joy to behold and it's a shame BDSP didn't give them a touch-up the way HGSS and ORAS did for their respective admins. And Charon's there. I guess. Kind of odd to add a character who does practically nothing until the postgame and is marginally less interesting than the team's previous leader.
Speaking of HGSS, the Rocket Executives had the biggest upgrade between versions. In GSC these guys didn't even have names! And I think they did a fine job of slotting their new characters into the available roles. They're different but all very distinctly Rocket-esque, be it Proton's ruthlessness and aggression or Petrel's "nice guy" attitude that reflects all the goofy and self-sabotaging antics of Grunts. The only real stinker here is Archer, who battles you once with a lackluster team and then never appears again. Also, the story of HGSS is pretty uninvolved in general, which kneecaps their screentime. It's a shame, but the Executives are at their most memorable when Gamefreak puts them in Kanto remakes.
A lot of people don't like the ORAS versions of Team Magma and Aqua, and I honestly don't understand why. The teams from the original RSE were nothing. They were non-characters. The admins specifically were interchangeable between the two versions. Between the two revamped teams, I prefer Magma. Of course, I prefer Magma in any case, but something about them just seems to fit the story of ORAS more. Maybe it's because Omega Ruby was my version of choice but I find Courtney threatening to blow up a rocket and "complete project AZOTH" more believable than Matt doing the same. Probably because they were cribbing the event in Emerald where Team Magma raids the space center, and also because Courtney is autistic. I will give the originals one thing: the designs of the admins not named Matt was a lot better. Come to think of it, I'm not fond of Matt's new design either. I think it's the awkward battle art showing him from a lower angle than the grunts. Also, does this fucker have a beard in Gen 3 or not? I genuinely can't tell. I've rambled for a paragraph about two of the four admins so I may as well keep going. I like new Tabitha. He's got little touches that let you know what kind of work he does and what kind of organization Team Magma is. He's a pencil-pusher in a gang far more organized and professional than Team Aqua, which fits the respective personalities of the leaders. Gen 3 Magma was a gang of thugs with a cause, and they didn't have Aqua's excuse of being pirates so the whole deal was a little weak. It also makes sense that the group who wants to further humanity's devlopment run themselves like a company. And, uh, Shelly. Like I said, I never played Alpha Sapphire so I can't comment on how she was executed. At times I wish I had, though. You see, I like the color blue. And Alpha Sapphire has a lot more blue in it than Omega Ruby, for obvious reasons. I liked her in the Generations short, but that’s about all I can say.
The only thing sadder than how little Rood, Zinzolin, Gorm, Bronius, Giallo, and Ryoku do during BW, is how I can remember all of their names without looking it up. I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but Team Plasma has a glut of characters who don't do anything. And it's more noticeable than usual because BW was very good about giving its characters time to shine outside of their usual roles. I can somewhat understand why they added all of this stuff in. Team Plasma's not so much an evil team in BW as they are a proper social movement. You could even call them a secret society. I can excuse the sages for that, and I can excuse them not battling because they're supposed to be the thinkers and philosophers of the group. The ones who exemplify Plasma's ideals. They're vastly underused, but they make sense. What I can not excuse are the Shadow Triad. They do NOTHING throughout BW. They show up in cutscenes, say some words, and then disappear. They shouldn't have even been in the game. The most impact the triad have on the plot is whisking you across a bridge you were gonna cross anyway. BW2 Tightens up the ranks of Team Plasma significantly, cutting all but Rood and Zinzolin and giving the Shadow Triad something to do. But even they couldn't save Anthea and Concordia, names I also remember without looking them up. Man, what do I even say about these two. They exist. That's about it. I would've cut the triad from BW and given their scenes to these two, because god knows they need it. Team Plasma has the same problem as the Rocket Executives: too many characters fighting for too little screentime. Except unlike the Executives, who were split somewhat evenly, it's always N and Ghetsis who win the battles for relevance.
Team Flare's Scientists are the last ones I can be assed to talk about. They suck. I can't remember their names, except I know the blue on is Mable because that struck me as a relatively normal name compared to the others. Also two of them are Celosia and Bryony., but I couldn't tell you who. Then there's Xerosic, who suffers from Archer syndrome but at least has a somewhat interesting ace in Malamar. The others don't even have that. He's also got a postgame quest, but I played that one time 6 years ago and I'm not doing it again. Not helping, of course, is that you don't start seeing them until halfway through the game. You won't see any of them until both of your starters and likely the rest of your team is fully evolved, because XY's pacing and level curve is fucked. And its distribution. I've had my full team assembled before the 4th gym one time. I don't believe any of the broads have ever done science. But at least their music's cool.

some stuff on the evil teams for my verse. name changes and how they differ from each other and all that.
so team rocket is just straight up a gang. the mafia. or yakuza. organized crime. they steal stuff and threaten to kill people. theyre the ones who made 'team blank' become a term for criminal gangs
team aqua is a bunch of hooligan activists with an emphasis on hooligans. lots of teenagers and young adults causing a ruckus. use team aqua as a cheap scare tactic bc theyre edgy kids
magma is very small, probably no more than a dozen people. all of them are maxies coworkers at the mt chimney regional park. called team magma by the league and then the public at large to go with team aqua
originally people thought team galactic had merely named itself after the respected galaxy corporation in a mocking way, but then it came out that no, they were paid by the galaxy corp. a lot of the grunts were criminals paid to put on that godawful outfit and be a distraction (or do actual pokemon theft). most of them were only there for the money. it was only the higher ups (admins and their teams) who had any concept of cyrus's actual plan.
the plasma pokemon ethics and trust association (ppeta) is basically a cult bc i think ghetsis would enjoy being a cult leader. it was known for radical pokemon activism even before it became more wildly known as a cult and it's members ran around in chainmail. once the whole pokemon stealing began, people started calling them team plasma.
flare! was considered for the longest time just the latest scam aimed at super rich young adults with too much money and time on their hand. got to play at being criminals with the prospect of living forever (whether the grunts believe that depends on the grunt. for some it was very lol sure of course *wink*). flare! was the technical name, but the grunts themselves called it team flare which caught on with the populace bc an exclamation point? really? not cool. (lysandre did not pick the name. he's actually very hands off with the running of flare. he left all of that to the scientists)
team skull is like team aqua--hooligans using the term team as a scare tactic. however, they’re a bit more criminal leaning, if not still incompetent. aether foundation is a legit pokemon rehabilitation center, its high ups are just corrupt.
team yell is a media given name. they prefer the marnie defense squad. and ditto macro cosmos what i said for aether.
and, yet again, team star is a bunch of kids trying to sound intimidating.

If you’re so dedicated to “bringing peace” why do you have the leader-admin and team (name) structure that’s used by terrorists and the mafia and cults? Genuinely asking. Like. Do you think that’s going to gain you any favor? The only reason you’re allowed to function is because your leader is a professor and you mask your intent in a thin facade of the greater good that anyone who’s eyes aren’t clouded can see through. /Plasma/ had a better veneer of goodness than you and they told people to release their Pokémon.
We use that structure because of the way our corporation works. We're a very large non-profit, and everyone knows the leader-admin-grunt structure. I don't acossiate it only with evil teams. Think Team Yell from Galar!

[THE STORYLINE]
WARNING: Super long!!!
The story of Team Spectrum not only takes place in the Hoenn region, but if this were an official Pokemon game, it would be a spin-off game from the perspective of the future leader. I tried to think of a plot similar to Pokemon games of the past, but the more I thought of the concept of Team Spectrum, I realized that they weren't much of a threat like Team Rocket or Team Plasma. As you can tell, it's essentially the Team Skull of the Hoenn region. But then it hit me, what if we got a game where we saw firsthand the birth of an evil team? Allow me a little bit of your time to tell you the plot of the hypothetical game, Pokemon Rainbow Emerald. Also, for the record, if this game was real, not only would the graphics be similar to that of SM/USUM - mostly because, Alola bias incoming, I love those graphics - but there would also be VOICE ACTING! Because, by Arceus, is it about damn time! And of course, like any other Pokemon game, you'd be able to name both the the player character and their rival, but for the sake of simplicity in this story, let's just call them Sterling and Orville - female and male respectively. The story begins with 17-year-old Sterling being jolted awake by their sickly mother, demanding that they hurry and get dressed because today's the day they got off their butt and begin their journey to become the next Pokemon Champion. She's lived in Oldale Town for her entire life so far and never thought of leaving home for any notable reason. So far in life, she was happy where she was - hanging out with her friend Orville, chilling, and being herself. However, her mother wasn't. She was always so pushy and demanding of her and a good example of that is in yesterday's diary entry.
"I just don't get it with Mom. When I'm bad at something, she wants me to try harder. When I'm good at something, she wants me to be better. Now she wants me to be the next Champion? I wish she'd care about my wants for a change."
With all these years of being disregarded and ignored for all of their natural talents while simultaneously being pushed to do things she never asked to do, Sterling had almost had enough. She was practically itching to turn 18 so that she could start living her own life. However, her mother's health was getting worse by the day and the demands had gotten more and more desperate until Sterling finally gave in. If being the next Pokemon Champion was the only thing that could make her mother proud of her, then so be it. You make your way over to Professor Birch's house, and when you get there, you find his wife chatting it up with Orville. Both she and her friend go out to find Birch, only to find him being chased by a pack of five Zigzagoons - just like in the original Emerald version because some things never changed. Bitch asks the two to grab a Pokeball out of his bag that's lying on the ground. Sterling and Orville then choose their starter Pokemon - for the sake of simplicity, they choose Treecko and Torchic respectively, and a double battle begins between the pack of wild Zigzagoons. After rescuing Birch, he lets them keep the chosen Pokemon as thanks for saving him, then gives the two pointers on how to be a Trainer. Afterward, he gives Sterling and Orville a Pokedex, a PokeNav Plus, and some Pokeballs before sending them on their way. Just before they leave, however, Birch's wife suggests that the two challenge the region's Gym Leaders, and both of them agree. As they go through Route 103, Orville decides to strike up some conversation along the way.
Orville: You know, I just realized something. You said you'd never do this. So what made you change your mind?
Sterling: My mom, that's what. She's not getting any better. Might as well try to make her happy for once.
And with that, the two best-friends-turned-friendly-rivals were off on their journeys. Along the way, Sterling would encounter both Team Aqua and Team Magma grunts like in the original Emerald version. However, since she's not the chosen one, she's just got to be an unfortunate witness to the main madness that unfolds. Instead, Sterling has to deal with her mother constantly blowing her phone up. Literally, after every single catch or battle - whether it be with her rival, a Gym Leader, or a grunt, she pesters her either through calls or text messages, bringing up rather pointless inquiries like "Did you catch anything worthwhile?" or "You better not lose to those Aqua/Magma grunts. Don't you embarrass me." Perhaps it was the comment relating to her rival battles that stung the most because whenever she lost, she only had this to say.
"Why am I not surprised? Honestly, whatever Orville is doing, you should do more of that."
Regardless of her mother's endless comments and Groudon and Kyogre going at it like they're siblings, Sterling was about to finally take on the Elite Four and the Champion. Although she was incredibly on edge, she had Orville by her side to give her that much-needed reassurance. By this time, the calls and texts have come to an abrupt stop, and although part of her is relieved, another part of her wonders if her mom is still alive. One by one, she took them on. Sidney, Phoebe, Glacia, and Drake. One by one, they all went down but then came Wallace. He has the same team as he did in the original Emerald and that Ludicolo with that bullshit ass Double Team. However, this time around, he has a Mega Gyarados. What's even worse is that it doesn't matter how much you grind or prepare for this final battle because, in the end, you're meant to lose. After getting her team healed up, as soon as she steps out of the Pokemon center, Sterling is called by her mom to come home immediately. Upon flying home, she walks in to find her mom in bed, barely hanging on for dear life. When she walks up to her, Mom grabs her daughter's hand and the following conversation takes place.
"Sterling… I know you came so far, but I gotta know… Are you the new champion?"
At this point, you have a couple of dialogue options to choose from. If you choose to say "no," she responds with "…Why am I not surprised?" If you choose to say "I got close," she responds with "…Not close enough." Regardless of what is chosen, Mom snatches her hand back and turns away from her daughter, weakly but firmly demanding that she "get out of her face." A teary-eyed Sterling pleads for her mother to be proud of her, only to get no such response. Or any response, for that matter. A few days later, Sterling is found in the backyard, standing over her mother's grave with a pair of watery eyes combined with that of a fiery glare. A saddened Orville approaches from behind and places a hand on his friend's shoulder, telling her that he's sorry for her loss. Sterling snatches her shoulder away, questioning why he was sorry and that "at least you're champion. She would've loved that for you - just as she's always loved you." And with that, Orville leaves her to her own devices. For an hour, Sterling stands there, staring intensely at the gravestone when something clicks and she has an epiphany. Her mom was never proud of her because she wasn't a strong trainer like Orville or the former champion Wallace. If she was to be respectful and acknowledged, then she needed to be the strongest of them all. The question is how? A few more minutes of thinking and then it hits her.
Mega Evolution.
Wallace and Orville had a Mega Pokemon and are among the region's strongest trainers. Sterling herself has a Mega Pokemon and has witnessed firsthand its extraordinary power. Perhaps if she could find a way to exploit that power to its maximum potential, she could be unstoppable. Of course, she could assemble a full team of Pokemon capable of Mega Evolution and acquire their compatible Mega Stones, but only Arceus knows how long that will take and Lady Luck isn't always on her side. However, after some further research on the subject, she discovered something groundbreaking. Rayquaza can Mega Evolve without a Mega Stone. This was perfect. If she finds a way to harness that ability, she will be set. But then arises a new problem: how could you possibly find such a project? After several more minutes of thinking, she decided to sell some things. And not only just a few valuable items in her house that were collecting dust, but she also decided to sell some Pokemon.
From here, the hypothetical game would switch from the traditional linear style gameplay into a more open-world style inspired by Scarlet and Violet. Not only would you as the player be able to traverse the Hoenn region freely, but you can go to and traverse other regions freely. This would not only allow you to visit your favorite spots and challenge some of your favorite characters from previous games, but this would also allow you to catch and sell Pokemon worthwhile that are only found in other regions and thus be able to find this grand new project. A project Sterling named the MEWS Project - MEWS stands for Mega Evolution Without Stones. After however long it takes for her to get enough cash, Sterling is finally able to fund the project. All that's needed now is Rayquaza. While all of the scientists in the work-in-progress underground base are working on the machine, Sterling traverses through the tower, battling so many Pokemon along the way, until she reaches the apex and pulls out a few Pokeballs from her bag. From the Pokeballs, three Minors are released, and then Sterling drops to her knees and begins to pray. Almost no sooner does she finish her prayer, the Sky High Pokemon graces the young woman with their presence, and to her surprise, they speak.
Rayquaza: (I gaze down at the trainer with a steely glare) Sterling of Oldale Town. You have summoned me for what purpose?
Sterling: (I anxiously look up at the Legendary dragon, still on my now trembling knees.) Rayquaza, I simply ask that you aid me in a project to become the strongest trainer in the world.
Rayquaza: And why do you wish to become the world's strongest trainer?
Sterling: (No response is made as I gaze to my right, almost not wanting to answer the question.)
Rayquaza: Your mother is gone, Sterling. (The younger looks up at me with a gasp and a stunned expression.) You don't owe her anything.
Sterling: …… (Once again, I hang my head and choose to say nothing because what do I say to that?)
Rayquaza: …… (I circle the silent trainer and the scared Miniors, tilting my head a couple of times.) I will not force you to reconsider, but remember this. True strength is not born from winning battle after battle. It comes from falling time and time again and still deciding to get back up.
Sterling: (I look up at Rayquaza and nod my head.) I'll keep that in mind.
Rayquaza: (I nod my head in return) Very well, then. If you truly require my assistance, you must prove to me in battle. But before we get started… (I point at the Minior trio.) Are those for me??
Sterling: Oh! Uh, yes, uh… (I chuckle lightly as I scramble back into my feet.) I caught these to convince you to help me, but… Perhaps they're not necessary--
No sooner do those words leave her mouth, the Sky High Pokemon zooms down and snatches up the now screaming Miniors, then devours them whole. Rayquaza then thanks Sterling for the offering and in a flash of a blinding light, they Mega Evolve, commencing the battle. It knows Extreme Speed, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Dance, and Dragon Ascent - the final being a Flying-type move and not a Dragon-type move as the name would suggest for some inexplicable reason. It would be quite the challenge, but eventually, Sterling prevails and Rayquaza allows her to catch it. Over the next couple of months, Sterling and her scientists make sure that the Legendary Sky Dragon is taken great care of while they work on the MEWS Project. It was given mandatory 30 breaks along and an hour-long lunch just like everyone. Speaking of lunch, it was given all of the meteorites, Miniors, and Rayquaza treats to its heart's content mostly thanks to the effort of Sterling. At one point, Rayquaza gives everyone a ride through the skies and Sterling even gives it a nickname: Yero - one of the many names of the Rainbow Serpent. Yero is treated less like a test subject and more like an equal member of the team. After months of experiments, all of everyone's work pays off in the form of a silver gauntlet with a small glass dome on the back swirling with some kind of strange magenta energy - the Mega Gauntlet. With her Pokemon team out and ready, Sterling presses the dome and her entire hand glows a bright magenta, trembling and aching in pain all the while. Despite the pain, a growling Sterling fights through and snaps her fingers, bringing out the Mega forms of all six Pokemon of her team at the same time. All of the scientists applaud and celebrate amongst each other, but Sterling. She walks over to her team and caresses her Sceptile with tears of pure joy.
Sterling: We did it. We actually did it. (I look up at the ceiling and dry my eyes.) I hope you're watching because from now on, you'll be looking at the reign of the Mega Nightmare.
Yero: (confused but intrigued) The Mega Nightmare??
Sterling: (I acknowledge the Sky High Pokemon with a nod.) Yeah. New dawn, new day, new life for me. I'm gonna need a name change. (I look down at my clothes and a disappointed frown is made.) …And a wardrobe change at that.
Yero: (I acknowledge her with a nod.) I see. I wish you luck in your endeavors, Sterling. I only wish that you heed my advice.
With Yero released back into its rightful place in the skies and the MEWS Project being a complete success, Sterling dons her gauntlet along with a new outfit and a new name to match: Lord Rainboom, the Mega Nightmare. Yes, Lord Rainboom, as in rainbow and doom. Don't laugh. Over the next few weeks, with her new persona and power, she takes on the Hoenn gym leaders again, defeating them all with far less difficulty than her very first attempt. All the while, she makes passionate speeches to anyone who would listen, declaring that all of Hoenn will acknowledge her might and the rest of the world will follow suit. Everyone in the region takes notice - especially a few people in particular. One of which is a young woman dressed in green shades along with a hoodie and pants that strangely have the same colors as the Mega Nightmare's. After defeating the seventh gym, Lord Rainboom is approached by the seemingly matching individual and a conversation is struck.
???: I know how you feel. (The Mega Nightmare turns towards me with a confused tilt of their head.) You try your very best and yet you still come up short. Now you want to prove everyone wrong.
Lord Rainboom: (One hand is on my hip as I gaze at the newcomer.) Uh-huh. And you are…??
???: Claudia. Nice to meet you. (We shake hands.) And while I'm here, let me tell you that I'm not the only one who feels the same way.
Lord Rainboom: Is that right? Prove it.
With a warm smile, Claudia leads the Mega Nightmare to her hometown, Mauvile City, and in the garage of her home sits a fairly large group of trainers - both boy and girl - patiently waiting for Claudia to return. The second they see Lord Rainboom, they all gasp both surprise and a hint of excitement and one of them even bows before her. Claudia goes on to explain that she and the trainers have been watching and listening to the Mega Nightmare and they agree with her wholeheartedly. Why? Every single one of the trainers has been through what Sterling had been through - their loved ones trying to live through them and being criticized regardless of whether they accomplished something or not. It is at this moment that Lord Rainboom has another epiphany. The world needs to acknowledge not just her, but everyone who feels ostracized despite their inner strength.
Lord Rainboom: Listen well, my dear friends. To our loved ones, we are nothing. But to us, we are their worst nightmares! We will show everyone that we are not as weak or useless as we're made out to be! We… are Team Spectrum! And we! Are here! To stay!
[TRIVIA]
Inspired by my love of Mega Evolution taken to a bit of an extreme.
The alias "Lord Rainboom" and the helmet are inspired by Lord Dominator from Wander Over Yonder.

🖤 - What would your character be like as an evil team leader? What would their motivation be?
// uh oh. Opened the flood gates with this one
I see Yew as a chaotic good character, he wants to help by any means he can. Very little can stop it once he’s got a goal in mind. So how do you get a character who wants to help to act evilly?
Twist their good intentions! After all, Yew has a bad habit of entirely believing people who he deems more qualified. For example, if Twig, or a certain other scientist asked him to find and capture a rare Pokémon for reasons unexplained, he would! Without question! Which makes him a good team grunt or maybe an admin, but not a good team leader.
But if you really wanted to make Yew the leader.. there’s a few ways I can think of…
Obviously there’s the route of “you hurt my friends and family, so now I’m going to get revenge”, and while I do think Yew would seek revenge, it wouldn’t kill someone over it. Would he track them down and make them regret it? Yeah but not to the point that he would need a team.
Which means we need to target Yew’s insecurities. He’s worried that everyone is in on some collective joke, that they’re all lying to him and pretending to be his friend. I mean he is getting lied to but there would have to be malicious intentions in the people around him (which there isn’t).
So, people would have to be more cruel to him, there would have to be a big liars revealed thing (where everyone tells it he’s been lied to) and finally? Realize even his Pokémon have been fucking hiding things from him (which they have). And then have him fuck off into the woods for a few months to have a joker arc.
Not sure what the teams goal would be really, maybe something with Darkrai..? Tormenting people and Pokémon he deems unworthy with horrid nightmares? Yeah that would work. Team Terror or Nightmare or something. Blah blah blah he doesn’t trust in anyone gets beaten up by a tween then realizes he’s in the wrong when Bab finds him or something. Idk I just want to torment this guy. Ooo Team Torment. That sounds good
