Elphaba pauses in thought, mentally running through her schedule. “How about tomorrow night? Around eight? We could…I don’t know if you’d want to have dinner together?” she asks, hoping she would.
Galinda’s smile was infectious, and Elphaba found herself grinning back. “Out of Shiz.” Elphaba agreed with a nod. It would be nice to get away from campus. She hadn’t really done much exploring since getting here. “After class, then.”

A long sigh escaped the paripus upon realizing this was a battle he wasn't going to win. Even if he did get past her now, she knew where his quarters were, and would likely be able to sway Basilio onto her side.
In hindsight, Fidelio should have figured word of his injury would reach her with the brothers' return to the Charidus. Though that also likely meant the rest of the ship's inhabitants also had gotten word. Great.
❝Fine . . . Ya can take a look, bu' I've already had plenty of care. An' don't ya go suggesting bedrest or I'm gonna lose me bloody mind.❞ A hand came to rest on his hip as his tail swayed behind him. ❝Where are we doin' this then? I'd rather i' be somewhere with less pryin' eyes.❞

"Hm. So this is Universe 12. How quaint." She simply stated. "Definitely not lacking on the strength department, but definitely still has yet to impress me." Still, she did find annoyance that some of the treasures weren't recalled to her. She has at least five now. The other two are definitely still here.
"Bruteforce it is." And such, with a wave of a hand, she would rip through different layers of dimensions, if not to single out the energy signatures of the treasures that are yet to return to her.

Heidi accepted the two calling cards and inspected them. "Vivian and Morgan, huh?"
The Arc Phone appeared again as Heidi grabbed it and saved both calling cards to her contacts, along with a task to contact each of them when she has the time. She may have some intelligence gathering for both of them in some small way, especially with Team Rainbow Rocket roaming around. Once saved, she stored the cards in her pocket and dismissed the Arc Phone.
"Thanks. I'll give them both a call when I get the time. Hope to see you again soon." Heidi turned back around and walked out the door to disappear back home.
Seems that Dinah really was onto something.
---
Once the coast is clear, someone suddenly appeared from outside Angelica's vision. "It appears that you will be getting quite the amount of contracts soon, Angelica." Dinah walked over to the counter. "Oh, a small Caffé macchiato and a small Americano, to go please." Dinah went to pay for it and add an extra tip.
"Dinah will admit, your performance was... well within expectations."
"Don't mention it. As stated, the Pokemon I often leave in charge here don't mind, especially if its a repeat customer. Definitely motivates them to enjoy what they do around here even further."
Still, Angelica wouldn't speak further, especially since Heidi received a call from a... uniquely shaped phone. She's certain that no such brand existed, especially since its far different from a Rotom Phone.
Probably reserved for those like Heidi, she figured. Then again, she didn't put too much thought into it.
She nodded in response to the Acting-Arceus having had to leave for now, and was about to tidy up the table that Heidi used, but stopped midway from what she had to say next.
So either Route 216, or take the long haul and hike through Mt. Coronet. Yeah, that'd be something she'd keep in mind, if she ever comes across Sinnoh, be it on freelance work or simply there to visit the region.
Though knowing her, it'd be the former.
"Hm." Her expression shifted slightly, all while she would wear her cafe glasses again. "Someone who does intel work?" Heidi's looking right at one, but... she wouldn't openly admit that now, would she?
"There was one particular customer that I've had several days back." She began. "Said that if ever I need it, there's at least two individuals that can do almost anything, so long as the price is right. Figured that it might cover intel work as well. Though, one of them operates by the book, while the other? Their stance is somewhat ambiguous, and may do things the unorthodox way." She almost had to chuckle.
'doing things unorthodox' really is her putting it lightly. Too lightly.
Still, now that she came up with a cover-up story to silently "endorse" herself to Heidi, she would then offer at least two calling cards, with two different numbers. One calling card being white, the other black.
"Here's what that customer gave me. A calling card belonging to someone who goes under "Vivian", the other going under "Morgan". They explained that the former is the one who do things by the book, the latter being the one who does things unorthodox. Figured that I'd give you both, since it'd probably depend if you want a 'by the book' intel gathering or intel gathering by any means necessary that forgoes the rules, entirely."

Charlie was curious- she swore she's seen this woman before, a friend of Angel or Alastor, maybe? With how busy she's been with her own stuff, she wasn't so sure.
Nevertheless, it's not like the demon princess has formally presented herself to the other, so maybe it was about time. Besides, didn't the woman look too much like a...human? That caught her attention even more so, make her heart skip a beat, even.
"Hello! Can I help you with something? I swear it's not the first time I see you, but I thought it was about time I presented myself to you."

"You look like a refined woman who enjoys a nice tea party. Quite exquisite taste in fashion as well. It's so difficult to find someone polished in a place like this." Remilia is currently on visit to Hell, but has decided to abandon her royal chaperone for a bit and explore with her human servant guarding her.
"You've sparked my curiosity, would you mind telling me your name?"
One of Neo's ears twitched when hearing the voice of the vampire. At first, she didn't know if she was referring to her, but all in all, she was the only one with some class around this neighborhood.
Cannibal Town was another story.
The small fallen angel raised an eyebrow once facing Remilia better, eyeing the other from top to bottom, and letting her wings flap a few times, specially as she took notice of...the...human? That accompanied her.
This felt so out of place for some reason...
After narrowing her eyes a little, she then smiled, and let out a soft hum before offering the vampire a business card that now rested between index and middle fingers.
In this one, 'Neo' could be read. And just right under her name, 'Assassin', her profession. If the vampire was to turn it around, she would also find her phone number...or at least one phone number, and the address.

Something really must be wrong with him if he could sit there and think about how this situation could be so much worse. Afterall, being locked up with nothing to do wasn't anything new to him, so although he was stuck staring at the same four walls, that wasn't what was currently bugging him - it was the fact that this was beginning to seem...fine? Like, was he actually over reacting? At least here, he was safe. He wasn't being hurt, he wasn't having to deal with anything or anyone dangerous. He was basically just a normal person here - well as normal as he ever was. Sighing, he reached into his pocket and pulled out the one bell that he'd managed to recreate this far. He wasn't even sure if it would work on Prudence, she wasn't human, and that tended to make the ability weaker or ineffective.
But, the thing actually holding him back from trying, was that nagging feeling in the back of his mind that told him of how insane it was to want to return to that hell that was his home in the first place - wouldn't Yumeno understand?

bweirdoctober day one: fav oc
i haven't drawn her in literal years, but my beautiful baby rae <3
she used to be my persona, but there was a stint where i humanized her and made her a black woman and i, as a white man, didn't want to claim that energy lmao
i also haven't done a month-long challenge in.. uh.. ever! i think! very happy to do it this year! i'm gonna try and stay on it, but things happen. i'll at least do the mandatory days haha
more info about her under the cut:
rae! yay!
in her universe, the dying gods made 5 "avatars" of their elements to rule their subjects. rae and her siblings are those elements, with rae representing the stars above, her older brother alifer representing water, evangeline and fire (later stone and metal), and twins casimir and circe with nature and the skies respectively
they have a big war eventually, evangeline has her emo arc, and all of the siblings stop talking to each other and rule their own separate kingdoms
one day, rae just leaves her kingdom and never returns, leaving her subjects floundering while she skips off to do whatever, and that whatever ends up getting her put in hibernation for another thousand years or so
she wakes up to a kid finding her and she takes on a motherly role to him, then she collects two more kids and they become a little adventuring party. her starness makes her really good at prophecy and magic in general so she teaches these 3 kids (now young adults by the time they're all together) magic. yaay cool family unit
the big main character of her universe is a fire sprite named cyl who becomes the "new rae" aka head of the party and kind of leader of another kingdom with the rest of the group
not super important to her backstory, but rae also has endless toxic(? not as toxic as it could be, depends on when we're talking) yuri with a person named friday who keeps getting reincarnated and they find each other in every lifetime, they're cute and i love them and eventually i'll draw them together again (need to ask friday's creator if she has a new design.. i'll do that eventually)
um! ask questions if you want? she's been my main oc since about 2017 so i've been cooking her for a long while
#bweirdoctober#oc: rae#verse: main#my bbg#shes been through so much#if i didnt already have another oc planned for day 5 id use her (if i end up doing day 5)#but i think the difference between annabelles first and most recent designs is really funny#my art#original character#guys ive been in fandom spaces for years and i have no clue how tagging works#every platform is different and i only know ao3's#chirping

"No! I do not wish to 'open up' like those other fools! All we share in common are these tadpoles eating away at our brains yet everyone wants to act all chummy all of a darn sudden!". Why was he getting this worked up? Maybe because the closer they got to Baldur's Gate, the more his skin began to crawl, and he still couldn't understand as to why none of these bastards had turned him over to the vampire hunter earlier - what was in it for them?
"Just leave me alone".

[Emergency Meeting] Max Raid Battle
"Thanks for agreeing to come, Celeste." Kathy and Celeste were had finished making a sandwich and passing them out to their party members not far from the Pokémon Center. It's been a while since Kathy went on a Tera Raid Battle with someone in advanced since she generally just helps out whoever's around, but considering how special this particular one was, she wasn't going to risk anything.
"...And I thought that it was weird when a Mewtwo showed up last year. Now there's a Shiny Rayquaza? This region sure is full of stuff to do at least." She leaned back and bit into her sandwich. Ensuring to finish chewing and swallowing before returning to her speech, Kathy continued her thoughts. "And soon after my adoptive sister went missing, too...."
Zinnia's disappearance last month has been weighing on her conscious. It's likely why she's been so much more recluse than normal, even around Celeste.
"This is going to sound strange but... I'm planning on bringing two Pokémon to this fight, though only one is my own. One of my friends had better ideas apparently. That and the fact that one of my adoptive mothers wants to join in on this. She got really interested and flew all of the way here the moment they heard that a Rayquaza was here. You'll be okay with that, right?"

@myra-the-ishkia ❤︎ 'd for a Musical Cat
Pencil deftly spin between the paripus' fingers as he read and reread the words sprawled on the page before himself. Most of the ship was fast asleep, the younger Magnus brother included, giving him the perfect time to pen his latest work. Not that he had any intention of sharing it of course.
Fidelio sat beneath the night's sky at the Charidus' edge, calling on the stars for inspiration. Feeling confident he was alone on the deck, the paripus indulged in one of his lesser known past times and sang out the lyrics to the night. Perhaps hearing the words out loud would help decide what came next.
♪*❝I know you think I've got it all figured out 'Cuz I walk around like my head's in the clouds but, I'm just a boy with his heart pourin' out of his head
I wish you could see the pain that I've seen, All the time I've spent being not me I hope you know it's not always happy in my head
'Cuz I don't know The Perfect road to go down But I know . . . Trying my best . . . ❞♪*

"Heeeey, dad!" With a small smile, the demon princess approached the other, holding her hands close to her chest.
"Now that I at least seemed to change some things around here- do you plan on visiting more?" After all, the blonde always went out of her way to change people and improve their situation, yet...it was about time she also tried to fix her own relationships with her parents.
Or at the very least, with Lucifer.
"It would be a pity if after all the effort we...uhm...fell so silent to each other like before." She was looking elsewhere, perhaps awkward? And biting her tongue to not mention how much she actually missed her mother, as well.

˜”*°•.˜”*°• Me, Myself and I •°*”˜.•°*”˜
She went out to train. Isolated, and for the moment? All alone in a hole that no other demons had interest to go to.
She sold her soul so no one else could have it. She sold her soul for protection, but not in exchange for nothing.
'I don't want a power that will be a simple renting of what you already have.'
She said back in the day to Lucifer, with whom she negotiated.
'I want something that will feel like myself. Powers that will be the manifestation of my very soul.'
And that's what she got.
She was an illusionist. Her powers were born from her imagination and her loneliness. The power to create her own fantasies- the one to fabricate lies.
She was face to face with a mirror, that beautiful reflecting surface that, until not long ago, was the root of her torment -and at the same time a blessing- because of her mind and the hallucinations she suffered from.
She would start with something easy.
[Maniac - Cover by DIAMANTE]
✨ Just a steel town girl on a Saturday night Lookin' for the fight of her life In the real-time world no one sees her at all They all say she's crazy ~♪ ✨
Neo has always had hidden talent. She learnt fast. She had a good memory. Attentive to detail. Her height had proven to be an advantage to go unnoticed, and her silence, even if a disadvantage in the day to day, turned out to be another kind of weapon.
Once she stood in place and intently gazed at her own reflection, in front of her, the fallen angel would smile for herself, and not long after blinking once, her body got covered from bottom to top by a pink glow and small pieces of broken glass.
After being fully covered, the appearances she could see in the mirror weren't herself. They shifted through various people she's seen around enough.
Lute, Alastor, Vaggie, Lucifer...the Princess of Hell herself.
She stopped to look at herself while still wearing the appearance of this last one, smiling in a very playful and sadistic manner, very Neo.
Definitely not something that fit Charlie too much.
She shifted through a few more appearances. People from the hotel. People she met in the last weeks...who she was in the past before she was abandoned here.
After letting a soft sigh escape her lips, she went back to be herself and let both of her hands rest against her hips. That was easy. Changing felt almost natural to her. The sensation was really close to when she tried to modify her dreams, but now this was part of reality, and even with that, still a simple illusion.
She tilted her head to look to the side, and there she was, her other self standing with her, resting on the assassin's shoulder a bit. That side of her conscience that would've been making her company for many years. That who would've appeared to her in the mirror, and that now could have a physical form thanks to her new powers.
Neo and Neo. Her and herself.
She let herself fall against the arms of her other self and this one caught her, before the both of them would start to dance in synchronization to the music that the mute left playing in the background.
As she moved around the basement that was practically empty, the mute let her powers manifest to decorate the room with more illusions.
Lights, colors, perfect and clean walls and a floor completely covered by an elegant rug. In the center of the room, a large and long table, filled with teacups, dishes...tea, cookies and other sweets, and empty chairs.
But she didn't stop her dance, she continued, now around the table before her other self held her by the lower side of her back; the original one flexing herself rather dramatically after.
That unmistakable pink glow kept spreading through the basement, giving life to those lies who would soon materialize in the form of the people she's been turning into a minute ago.
Around the table, they sat down, each of them with their own personalities and their own voice. At first glance, as if they had their own conscience.
L̸̤̚i̸̝͠e̷̝͑s̵̪̃.̶̯͛
She wanted to see how many she could create at the same time. How many people and how many clones she could make until she was really exhausted. Testing her limits and pushing herself to the hardest limit she could give herself.
Her heart was beating as she moved around the basement with grace, dodging every new decoration that her imagination materialized, but never stopping the dance with herself.
The table was full, the voices almost drowned the music. One, two, three, four...she could count up to twenty people. And she was sweating. Maybe mental fatigue, worse than those physical trainings that she was so used to.
Once she twirled around the table a few times, she stopped in front of the chairs on one of the ends of this one, letting her other self hug her from behind and let her chin rest against her shoulder.
After one of her gloved hands moved up to caress the side of her clone's face, Neo let out a soft chuckle and felt her throat closing, before she stomped on the floor with one of her paws and let her powers manifest a bunch of Jabberwalkers.
One, two, three...she could count up to six.
Twenty people, six of her own monsters. And this was only making a small effort. Like running around the racing track three or four times.
After observing her own tea party, her other self stopped hugging her so she could go, and, with a small hop, Neo got on top of the table and started to dodge with skill all those little things that decorated the surface.
The Mad Hatter was condemned to an eternal tea party for 'killing Time' in a concert for the Queen of Hearts. Neo would enjoy her eternal tea party for being condemned for 'killing the Time' of her superiors years ago.
Once she got to the center of the table, the assassin manifested her weapon in hand, and after looking at all her 'guests' for a moment, she made all of them change their appearance so they would look like herself.
To who she was now.
Obediently, the twenty copies stood up, and a second after, the real Neo started to rush towards the clones with all her strength, one after the other, swinging the parasol with mastery as if it was some kind of club, but from time to time, also elegantly and with a hand behind her back.
Maybe another person would've been incapable of 'killing themselves' from beating themselves to death. Twenty times. With reactions as normal as if they would've been real.
Her illusions could take a beating. Now laying on the floor, bloodied in their own golden blood after having endured the original's beating, and not long after, Neo started to kill them for good, unsheathing the hidden blade of her parasol to do so.
Every time she impaled one of them with her sword, these finally disappeared the same way they appeared at first- broken in a million pieces of pink glass until they disappeared completely, as if the wind had blown away the dust left behind.
Engrossed in her own illusion, the fallen angel would end up with cleaning the whole room with her murders, letting herself fall on her knees on the floor before she started laughing.
The moment that another drop of exhaustion slipped from her forehead to one of her cheeks, the mute snapped her fingers and everything around her started to disappear.
L̸̤̚i̸̝͠e̷̝͑s̵̪̃.̶̯͛
No more decorations, or lights, not even her monsters or the eternal tea party. Not even her other self.
Only Neo and the lies that she was now capable of fabricating.

"I told you this was a really bad idea..." He stood a short distance away from Miran, half hugging into himself as his eyes remained glued to the water that was trying to reach out towards him - but he'd stopped just at the right spot to stay outside the reach of the sea's touch. He'd told Miran a thousand times that this was a bad idea - and now he just felt rather childish, given how carefree Strelitzia was as she ran happily through the shallow water nearby. "...look...I get you're trying to be helpful but...but I just can't...I can't do this...this is as close as I'm getting...".
