TIMELINE: January 2011

In honor of my three year blog anniversary, I decided to do a timeline. (That was 6 months ago RIP me).

I’ve always been fascinated by January 2011. It was this wonderful transition month between the chaos of the X Factor show and the chaos of the X Factor tour. They moved to London, recorded songs for Up All Night in London, Brighton and Los Angeles and did several club gigs around the UK.

But in the middle of all this chaos and change, Harry & Louis, especially, were settling into patterns with each other that we can still see 5 years later.

See this timeline and this timeline for some context of what was happening leading up to January 2011.

I did these timelines almost 4 years ago (OH MY EFFING GOD) and have done a lot of research since and I still tend to believe they were at least messing around in the X Factor house. If not explicitly, they were, at the very least, flirting harder than any 2 teenagers have ever flirted before. There was definite sexual and romantic undertones to their interactions that, if they weren’t acting upon them in 2010, were at least recognized by both of them at that point in time.

After the live shows were over, they spent a few days in London moving out of the X Factor house, doing some early promo for the tour, and shopping with their record label advance money (all $13,000 of it). They went home, had the holidays with their families, did a few shows in Scotland before the New Year, and it was 2011 before they knew it.

NOTES:

A UNIT: Harry and Louis and those around them considered them a package deal. They were hard to separate in everyday life and in the stories and Tweets of their friends and families. Robin tweeted James Corden to win a pair of tickets to the Brits in February 2011 and began it by saying “Since Harry (S) and Lois (T) can’t go” as if they’d go together if they weren’t touring with the X Factor. Hannah answered two fans saying Harry and Louis bought the same item (possibly a pair of shoes) in LA in slightly different colors. Jay tweeted late in the month that Louis got into Harry’s bed when he was sleepwalking in the night at their hotel and then tweeted fans to say she talked to both of them after the mob at Heathrow met them on their return flight from Los Angeles. Anne watched their twitcam on the 23rd and called them “my boys.” Niall tweeted he ate pizza with Harry and Louis at the hotel. Louis tweeted from the One Direction account that he and Harry ate breakfast together one morning in LA and they both spent a good part of the month promoting each other on the Shorty Awards. And, of course, their Manchester United and movie/shopping trips. This was all in just 31 days. They had known each other just a few short months, but their lives were fitting together seamlessly and naturally.

HANNAH THE UPDATE ACCOUNT: Hannah tweeted about Louis and, to a lesser extent the group, like it was her job. She had left university and was working part-time at a primary school where her mother worked. She repeatedly tweeted fans her and Louis’ anniversary and answered countless questions fans asked about Louis, the band’s schedule and their whereabouts. She posted pictures and talked a lot about their time in the Grease play at school. She especially tweeted about their trip to America like she had talking points. She tweeted their departure schedule, the time difference, when she heard from Louis, what they did in LA and their return schedule. She repeatedly told fans she “just wanted [Louis] home safe” when asked what she wanted him to bring her from LA. Danielle Peazer (Liam’s new girlfriend at the time) was also on Twitter but did not tweet to the extent Hannah did. Hannah was especially involved in informing fans about the group’s return to London’s Heathrow airport, giving real time updates of where they were and even tweeting “They’ve landed, prepare guys xx” perhaps as a directive to the mob of fans that had congregated at the arrival gate. She even tweeted “I’m not seeing Louis today, I’m just excited for him to be back in the same country.” A lot of her comments and actions on Twitter during this time came off as over-the-top and even forced in some circumstances.

LOUIS IGNORES HANNAH: To add to the weirdness of Hannah’s significant presence on Twitter, Louis completely ignored her the entire month. He did not tweet or reply to her once, despite Hannah tweeting at him and about him on several occasions. Hannah talked about being with Louis early in the month on a couple of days, but Louis never reciprocated like he did with Harry, who he tweeted about being with repeatedly throughout the month. In addition to this, Hannah went to One Direction’s G-A-Y performance in London and arrived with fans, stood in line with fans, and stayed in a hotel room with friends and not Louis.

HANNAH A BIT SALTY?: All of this culminated in a couple of odd tweets from Hannah toward the end of the month. Hannah spent all afternoon the 23rd tweeting fans about Louis and promoting him (and Harry) in the Shorty Awards. But she did not watch the Twitcam. In fact, when a fan asked her if she was going to watch, she was noncommittal in tone, answering a couple of fans “depends on where I’ll be” and “if I’m on my laptop” just minutes before the Twitcam began. Then, she tweeted 20 minutes after it began that she couldn’t get it to load and said “never mind, i’m tired anyway xx” and didn’t tweet again that night. This seems a bit out-of-character as Hannah was glued to her computer/phone tweeting fans about Louis all day long, lamenting him being gone so much and then sounding not that interested in the Twitcam. Perhaps because it was hard to tweet about being in a relationship with Louis while Louis and Harry flirted outrageously in the Twitcam. Later that week, while the group was in LA, Louis tweeted he and Harry ate pancakes and maple syrup for breakfast. He then tweeted they had sausage with it in a separate tweet. Hannah replied to Louis with what sounded like an inside joke of Louis eating pasta on toast. She waited 6 minutes before tweeting again without tagging Louis this time “In all fairness to Louis, pasta on toast is quite tasty but makes the bread a bit soggy.. I’d choose that over maple syrup sausages anyway x” almost like she waited for a reply from Louis and didn’t get one and added a dig about maple syrup sausages that Louis had just been proud to eat with Harry. Both of these tweets, though isolated among a barrage of other more positive tweets, seem a bit off in tone, like Hannah was irritated with Louis’ absence, his friendship/relationship with Harry and being ignored on Twitter.

“FIRST MEAL” NOT FOR HANNAH: Hannah tweeted a fan on the 28th “@leprechaunxo The only time he ever cooked for me was when he made this tasty salmon pasta :) xx” which is decidedly not chicken stuffed with mozzarella, wrapped in parma ham with a side of homemade mash, the meal Louis tells everyone is his first meal and most romantic gesture he’s ever performed. He first told this story on camera 14 February 2012, almost exactly a year after Hannah’s tweet. So did he cook that meal between this tweet and the interview in Paris, the same interview where Harry said Louis had been with his current significant other “about a year” despite having broken up with Hannah in July and Louis not knowing when he began dating Eleanor (anytime August-November 2011). WHEN AND WHERE DID LOUIS COOK THIS MEAL?

HARRY’S VIRGINITY TWITTER ACCOUNT: There is some confusion about who created the Twitter account @harrysvirginity. It was not, in fact, Ashley Sherlock, his friend from Holmes Chapel. What happened was Ashley and another friend did a twitcam drunk and Ashley answered some fan questions, one of them being “Is Harry a virgin?” She said no, and it caused a lot of fandom drama about Harry’s privacy. Ashley maintained Harry wouldn’t care if people knew he wasn’t a virgin. A fan then made the Twitter account a few days later, hence the “according to @ash_sherls” comment in the bio.

SOCIAL MEDIA LOVE: Louis and Harry were all over Twitter with each other in January. They were tweeting to and about each other and posting pictures. Louis, however, went beyond that. He used a cropped picture of him and Harry in Holmes Chapel as his Ping profile picture and was the most vocal in promoting them both on the Shorty Awards. Louis included Harry in several tweets he made from the official One Direction Twitter account, which was predominantly a “larry” account this month. Niall, Zayn and Liam tweeted 1-2 times each. Like most teenagers, they were flirting and tagging each other on social media accounts in ways they did not with the other boys, and, in the case of Louis, even his own girlfriend.

OFF DAYS: Harry and Louis chose to spend their precious few off days together during this month. They planned a trip to Old Trafford, had dinner and then slept over at Harry’s. This was in the middle of their first few club gigs and right before they moved to London for good to begin rehearsing for the X Factor Tour and recording their album. They spent all day together on the 23rd, riding a train into London to see a movie, shop and eat at TGI Friday’s, a place Harry called his “favorite date venue.” They went all the way into London, a 45 minute train ride one way, to do these things together. Later that same day, Niall and Zayn went to see Meet the Focker’s at the movie theater 8 minutes from the hotel.

ACT DIFFERENTLY THAN THE OTHERS: Harry and Louis acted differently than the other boys in the group. They spent more time together, talked about each other more in interviews and on social media, posted more pictures of each other together, their families interacted significantly more, people around them referred to them together more often than separately. They did an all-day shopping/movie/dinner thing the same day Niall and Zayn went to the movies 8 minutes from their hotel instead of downtown London. Harry and Louis did a twitcam together that they promoted all day long on Twitter and was shut down after one of their handlers knocked on the door just before 11PM and asked if they were on Twitter. Zayn did a twitcam later that same night around 2AM that lasted about the same amount of time. Niall was included in it a little, but it was largely Zayn’s own twitcam in the middle of the night and it was not shut down by anyone.

ABOVE ALL, BEST FRIENDS: All of the changes surrounding Louis and Harry (and the other boys) had to be overwhelming. Through all of this, Harry and Louis were best friends, anchoring each other in an otherwise unfamiliar kind of storm. They leaned on each other during off times and at photoshoots and recording sessions. They were vocal about their friendship, their families recognized and supported it and were, in turn, friends, too. It was ultimately the most natural, organic interaction we have ever been able to see. There were little to no restrictions. Louis and Harry were running the official Twitter account, even. Whatever romantic relationship they were exploring, it’s important to recognize how lovely and close their friendship was during this time.

Bienvenidxs al primer post del timeline Larry. Comenzaremos a recordar la historia año por año de esta linda pareja, con el fin de que nuevas personas o personas que llegaron poco después estén enteradas de todo lo que ha pasado desde entonces. :D

Érase una vez…

9 de Julio - Harry y Louis audicionaron para X Factor u.k en Manchester

Esto lo sabemos porque la entonces novia de Louis twitteó esto:

> “Y la primera vez que vimos a Harry fue cuando lo estuvimos viendo ser entrevistado en la multitud justo antes de que Louis fuera”

La categoría de los chicos se tenía que aprender una canción todos juntos. Se puede ver a Harry y a Louis en frente del otro, sin embargo aún se ve que no se habían presentado formalmente.

Ese mismo día Louis y Harry fueron unidos a un grupo de 10 que tuvieron que presentarse en solitario para Simon.

21 de Julio - (cuarto día del bootcamp)

Este es el día que concuerda con que Harry y Louis se conocieron en los baños porque llevan la misma ropa que en la primer foto juntos.

Louis mencionó ( en el libro “dare to dream” de 1D) que se tomó ⬆ esa foto con Harry porque sabía que sería muy famoso.

“Aunque no les hablé mucho recuerdo muy bien a Harry y a Liam, porque cuando los vi pensé ‘ustedes definitivamente pasarán’. Me tomé una foto con Harry porque sabía que sería famoso. Incluso le di un abrazo y le dije que no se preocupara porque sabía que estaría bien”

Ahora analizaremos un poco el cómo se conocieron (o al menos lo que la gente piensa) :

En ésta entrevista Harry menciona dos veces que conoció a Louis en los baños, entonces Louis vio la presentación de Harry el día uno, y lo conoció formalmente el día cuatro en el baño; se tomaron una foto y le dijo que todo estaría bien. ( a ver, lloren :D )

“¿Pero por qué la gente piensa que se conocieron en el baño?”

Estoy segura de que conocen los tatuajes de “Hi” y “Oops”, pero lo explicaré para que el tl tenga sentido. :D

La mayoría -si no es que todxs- pensamos que “oops” fue lo primero que le dijo Harry a Louis y “Hi” fue lo primero que le dijo Louis a Harry, ya que esos tatuajes están hechos con la letra del otro

¿Por qué estas serían sus primeras palabras?

Checa esto:

> “Estoy feliz de que estuviera junto a ti en los urinales…si tuviera que tener la pipí de alguien salpicada en mi, prefiero por mucho tener tu pipí que su pipí”

Esto lo escribió con comillas, dando a entender que alguien más se lo dijo. Por eso lxs fans creen que Harry salpicó a Louis con su pipí y es por eso que él dijo “oops”. Louis probablemente dijo “Hi” antes de que esto pasara -porque tiene más sentido- pero obviamente no sabemos…

Ahora pasemos con el resto del timeline

23 de Julio - Se forma One Direction

Dos días después de que se conocen, son agrupados en la misma boyband y saltan a los brazos del otro.

En la entrevista que tuvieron justo después de que la banda se formara, ya se estaban viendo muy cute

Finales de Julio - Primera reunión de la banda (mencionado en la película)

Aquí fue donde Harry llegó con el nombre de “One Direction”

Poco después, Harry y Louis organizaron que todos estuvieran en el bungalow del papá de Harry, lo que significa que probablemente desde entonces intercambiaron números y estuvieron en contacto.

Mediados de Agosto - Bungalow

Pasaron ahí alrededor de dos semanas, conociéndose para llegar con mejor unión para el concurso.

28 de Agosto - Judges Houses / casa de los jueces

Los chicos viajan a España para presentarse para Simon.

Louis estuvo desaparecido un rato, porque un erizo le espinó el pie. Adivinen quién fue el primero en recibirlo cuando regresó del hospital…

9 de Septiembre - Harry twittea la letra de Just the way you are de Bruno Mars

Esta canción podemos recordarla más tarde, ya que sabemos que en la twitcam Harry parecía estársela cantando a Louis.

12 de Septiembre - Harry twittea la letra de For the first time de The Script

No creo que tenga mucho que ver, pero si recuerdan ambos H y L asistieron a un concierto de The Script años antes de conocerse (ninguno lo supo hasta después).

13 de Septiembre - Harry twittea las letras de la canción “Hannah” de Ray Lamontagne

Un poco fishy que la novia de Louis se llamara Hannah y un poco más considerando que Niall twitteó esto más tarde:

Hagamos otro pequeño paréntesis en quién es Hannah:

Muchxs fans consideran que Hannah era una especie de barba desde entonces, pero no con ese tipo de contratos de años, sino que podría ser que Louis le pidió que fingiera estar con él (podría ser por el entorno en el que estaba antes o porque aún no estaba 100% seguro o incluso porque no quería contestar preguntas “incómodas”). Todo esto desde antes de conocer a Harry. Incluso piensan que siguió con ella durante TXF por “conveniencia”.

Considerando que los concursantes no podían estar en una relación con otros concursantes, podría tener sentido conservar a Hannah (públicamente) mientras comenzaba a salir con H muy al principio. Añadiendo que Louis se veía muy cómodo y amigable con ella, no tendría sentido que la engañara, es más lógico que ella supiera de la relación de ellos dos desde un principio.

Además casi no se les veía juntos en público y más tarde se usó a Hannah como herramienta de promo -pero eso es un tema que tocaremos después-.

20 de Septiembre - Mudanza a xfactor house

Tanto Louis como Liam mencionaron que estaban en Londres (x) , además de que Jay tomó esta foto en la cual parecen los chicos en las calles de la ciudad.

26 de Septiembre - El episodio donde la banda es formada se transmite, por lo que ahora la gente sabe que 1D existe

Justo nuestras dos personitas se twittearon de inmediato y hablan sobre lo felices que están de estar juntos y lo felices que se hacen el uno al otro. Ninguno de los otros chicos hizo esto.

Harry creó su twitter el 22 de Agosto, pero no comenzó a twittear hasta Septiembre. Louis por el contrario, se la pasaba twitteando, pero no a Harry ni a los chicos. Probablemente por los NDA’s (contratos de silencio) en los que les prohibían hablar sobre los episodios de TXF, para evitar cualquier spoiler del programa.

27 de Septiembre - Se twittean por primera vez

Desde el momento uno, Louis se dedicó a mostrar a los espectadores de txf que él y H ya eran bastante cercanos.

En el segundo video diario, podemos observar más de Harry viendo con cariño a Louis, además de que cuando Liam lee las preguntas sobre qué buscan en las chicas Louis muestra una cara de incomodidad o molestia, así que “cubre” ese gesto haciendo la broma de las zanahorias. (vayan a ver el vídeo para que lo vean por sí mismos)

29 de Octubre - ¿Celos?

Este día en el video de “Question Time” se ve una pequeña escena de celos, ya que otro de los participantes del programa, Aiden Grimshaw, se ve que está jugando con Louis y lo “besa”. En eso se puede ver a Harry decir “Stop” o “Stop it”. Cuando el video está por terminar, Harry contesta la pregunta “¿Quién es el competidor más fuerte?” con que era “Probablemente Aiden” apartando la mano del mismo de su pierna y Louis contesta “No seas codicioso”

Semana 5 (1-7 de Noviembre)

Esta semana es algo interesante debido a varios eventos…

Esta semana comenzó con un video de preguntas y respuestas, donde Louis dice que dio su primer beso “ayer”. (X)

En el quinto video diario Harry y Louis se veían muuy cansados (al menos mucho más notable que los demás). Pueden ir a ver el video para verlo por su cuenta.

Entonces, hasta ahora tenemos una broma de un primer beso, a dos chicos muy cansados y vamos a agregar que esa semana Louis estuvo desaparecido por uno o dos días:

Justo en ese momento hubo un rumor de que una pareja de xfactor tuvo que ser separada por el equipo del programa:

Louis obviamente contó una historia para justificar su tiempo desaparecido, en la que dijo que fue a casa a ver a su mamá, pero muchxs fans encontraron eso algo raro.

Abro otro paréntesis:

De la misma forma, por esas fechas se filtró una foto “intima” -que no pondré- en la cual parece ser Harry. Obviamente se negó esto, pero muchas personas siguen creyendo que era de él para Louis en su tiempo desaparecido, porque “coincide” un collar que usaba entonces y porque se “confirmó” que era el baño de txf.

Muchas personas ya no creen en esto, ya que existe el photoshop, y se negó en su momento, pero queda en ustedes.
