Summary:

After failing to control Groudon, Team Magma fractured. Faith in leadership has waned, leaving Maxie to pick up the pieces while adapting to his life as a blind man. He is considering stepping down as Team Magma's leader when May asks for his help in translating some strange Braille she found. Archie invites himself along.

some stuff about team magma

-this stuff is specific to my world's team magma, i know there's a lot of magmas out there.

-yes i know im from the evil team magma.

-so my magma was led by this guy named Maxie? I think he was a scientist but i was a mere grunt so. we weren't close.

-i think Maxie used to know my father? so. thats kinda interesting

-on my magma, we had 4 admins, Courtney, Courtney, Tabitha, and Blaze. yea we had two courtneys. they are twins.

-the twins are maxie's daughters.

-look i get my father is not going to be winning any father of the year awards but at least he did not name me and my identical twin the same thing (i dont have a twin)

-the twins help their dad with research. they are both scientists but sometimes i'll catch one of them outside in the berry field? i think the twins are about my age.

-tabitha was mainly in charge of the grunts, so he was who we saw most often.

The official Pokemon UK Twitter posted this art for Team Magma and Aqua for the 10yr anniversary of the games releasing in Europe (the unrelenting march of time is a scary thing 😅), and I love the contrast with how uniform Magma is, every grunt is in their team's pose vs. every Team Aqua being in a different pose, including this poor grunt that fell over:
