Honestly, I can’t stop thinking of past V judging present V for getting with mc.

The “you didn’t, they’re our employee” and following flustered V was delicious.

I’m also laughing because I 1000% am having my mc seduce the pants off of V, and I could just imagine V being like, “I was seduced!” And past V being even more disappointed/shocked because power dynamic wise they do have the upper hand and why does this sound like an excuse?

Only for past V to eventually come up against said seduction to just be like:

“Shit”

Oh yeah, for sure. The moment V realizes their feelings for MC is going to be *chef's kiss* *:･ﾟ✧a disaster*:･ﾟ✧. "Shit" is about right lol.

The start of V's romance is basically them speedrunning the 7 stages of grief just to come to terms with the fact that, yeah, they might be a little in love with their employee. Whoops.

1 Will it be possible for the ROs to fall in love with MC even if MC doesn’t fall in love with them (MC is on a RO's playthrough but another RO falls for MC too)?

2 Will there be "oblivious flirt options" like MC's heart flutters for that RO but doesn't directly flirt with them?

3 Will there be options that will get romantics points and cause the ROs to fall in love with MC, without MC being interested in them and not directly flirting with them (like MC helps a RO in a difficult situation, or comforts them or listen to them or is there for them etc basically MC is or does what they need in that moment and that makes the RO fall for MC)?

4 Can MC break some hearts?

Sounds like MC ngl but also me... hate being late so much that they would still show up to the groups practice or events on time after getting into a hit and run or something 😭 we love unhinged and dysfunctional ppl in this household ❤️

Today really isn’t your day. Your alarm didn’t go off so you had to get ready in a rush, resulting in you barely making it to your office on time for a meeting with the director for an upcoming photoshoot. Only to realize that you’ve left your files on your desk causing you to run back to your office to grab them. After that, you had multiple phone calls to make with different departments to keep everyone on track. And just when you thought you had a moment to catch your breath, a fellow staff member pulls you aside to discuss the schedule for next week.

All of this leads to you practically running down the hall to the practice room where you’re sure Fortune is waiting for you. You almost skid to a stop in front of the door and swiftly pull it open. In your haste, you somehow manage to slam the door on your face. More specifically, your nose. You barely register the blood dripping down as you stride to the front of the room.

“I’m going to assume that everyone’s already warmed up.” You start speaking, ignoring the stares the group gives you.

“Wait, hang on-” E tries to interrupt.

“We have a lot to go over today, so let’s start with going over the choreography for your title track.” You press on, looking down at your tablet.

“No, seriously-”

“We’ll start with the count and then slowly speed up. Hopefully we’ll be able to do a full run through by the end of the session.”

“Is that blood?” E looks at their group mates. “That’s totally blood, right?”

You roll your eyes. “Yes but that doesn’t matter right now, what matters is-”

They call out your name bluntly. “You are literally bleeding.” 

You groan and finally look up to face the group. “It’s just a nosebleed, nothing serious. It’ll go away soon.” You don’t get why they’re making such a big deal out of this. It’s not like you’re seriously injured or anything.

E shakes their head. “Yeah, no. We’re going to take care of this first,” They approach you and take your hand, dragging you to one of the seats on the side of the practice room. “Sit.”

You do as they say, knowing you’re outnumbered four to one. But that doesn’t mean you’re going to let them win without a fight. X goes to get a first aid kit and E and O take their place sitting on either side of you. The leader pulls out a tissue from a tissue box and kneels in front of you, pressing the tissue against your nose to soak up the blood. 

While all this is happening, you don’t hold back on your complaints about them wasting time on you, “I told you, I’m fine. Look, I’ll just go to the bathroom and while I’m gone you all can practice. We only have three hours here.”

You know for a fact that they’re all ignoring you.

X comes back, first aid kit in hand. It’s at this point all the adrenaline has left your body and you can feel your nose start to throb. X joins the rest of you, setting the kit on the floor. “You’ve got blood on your shirt,” They comment idly, handing you an ice pack. You’re not sure where they got it or how they knew to get one but you appreciate it nonetheless. “You should get your nose checked out, just in case.”

“Ever so eloquent, X,” O teases the vice leader with a snicker. “But I have a stain removal stick in my bag, I’ll go get it.” They get up to get the stick as you press the ice pack gently on your nose, soothing the pain slightly.

Now that things have calmed down, the group leader finally speaks up. “I know what you’re thinking. But don’t worry, we can make up for the lost time. What’s more important is taking care of you first. None of us will be able to focus if you’re hurt like this.” You glare at them, their attempt at guilt tripping you working too well. They only smirk at your glare just as O returns, passing the stain removal stick to you and reclaiming their spot. E rests their head on your shoulder, already starting to chatter away about some mundane stories while the rest of the group relaxes in a circle around you.

Yeah, today may not have been your day, but with your group of misfits taking care of you, you feel like it’s gotten a little brighter.

Animal symbolism? Hello?? The more I think about it, the more it makes sense that the MC has the symbolism of a snake with how deceptive it can be and hide itself among its surroundings. And the whole Christianity thing reminded me of the snake who told Eve to eat the apple, thus dooming mankind. What are the symbolism of the other ROs now I'm curious

you hit it right on the head, dear bonnie. MC is great at shedding their skin and having most people wrapped around their finger. they’re also very cunning and manipulative so it’s no wonder they fit right in with how their family’s history is 🤭

How would Milo react if MC said to him how proud they are of him, that he committed a “selfless” act by choosing the world over them? (He’s got the best of intentions but poor execution, feels bad man; my MC would hope he’d always make that choice but hope he’d never have to make it again)

You know, I've been sitting on this one for about a week and I can honestly say, I don't know. Milo needs validation in life, but not really that kind of validation. I think Milo knows right and wrong and he knows that this one was in a really morally grey area. And it wasn't a super selfless act. Because his reasonings for doing it was not wanting to lose Hazel or Feebus. He didn't think he could do that.

In the end, I really just don't know. I think from the MC, Milo just needs someone who holds him accountable, but also loves him at the end of the day.

Yeah, as accomplished and impressive as the mc is, the mc is far from a Mary Sue/Gary Stu. Literally, the scene with V where they try to cook? I cringed when I heard their plans for it (but trying new things is crucial to being good at them). Not to mention other scenes just showing the unbalanced lifestyle (I found Elias asking if the mc had their credit cards to be particularly hilarious) and things they lack. It's not like the mc reaches and touches an extracurricular, and whoops, Bam, Magnus Carlson!

They've also suffered not insignificantly (I can't possibly imagine losing a parent at that young of an age, let alone one you're close to.) And that nosebleed thing must've been a hell of a scare. Also - your reflection looking like that (as in non human or supernatural) would be terrifying. My life isn't notably bad, certainly not all sunshine and rainbows, but if I was offered to become mc and go through all that they will or even all that they have?

Yeah, I think I'll pass. I also think some of it might be people thinking the mc is completely effortless - which I have no idea where they got that - but it's evident while they aren't average in intelligence, they busted their ass off even if they try to play it laidback style. They got the best tutors in the world from a very young age - but that also meant they were using those resources constantly and studying. Not to mention, I think somewhere it's mentioned how mc's time was basically entirely split between studying, extracurriculars, and volunteering.

They're not a god. Just a mortal who had very fortunate resources who worked very, very hard with those resources. Hell, take a normal person with mid resources and have them use that schedule of studying, extracurriculars, and volunteering, and I'd bet they would turn out pretty damn accomplished/impressive too, even if they're not as good as the mc. It's what Richard Feymann said - you can get a normal person to understand quantum physics. They just have to study it well, hard, and for a while.

Yeah, the mc is rich and have quite the privilege, but that doesn't mean they didn't work hard for it and also lost some things in the trade off (mc might know how to cook if they weren't studying "all" the time and took the time to learn, for example)

Mc kind of reminds me of what's referred to as a glass cannon - exceptionally good at one or a few things, but at the severe (and probably unworthy) detriment of being very bad at others. Does mc even know what FAFSA is?

Also, the literal fatal flaw? An actual list? And mc can be as stupid (wisdom stat, not intelligence) and just party all the time.

If anons were going to pick on a character for being "too perfect" then M almost makes more sense. 10 languages, God knows how many instruments, in a good position in HoS, is probably crushing all of their classes, and is majoring in philosophy which can get wildly difficult now and again before toning back down (Nietzche, Kant, and Hegel, probably). Oh, they're also an RA. They to me seem more insane than mc does, even a mc who is designed to be crazy like vocal lessons, two sports, robotics, and debate club, with no burnout. And yet, they are perfectly flawed.

The mc just worked exceptionally hard, is clever, and had literally the best possible resources to get the most bang for their (or rather, Elias's) buck. I think about anyone would - at least - do very well in academia and extracirriculars if they had the best tutors in the world training them in those respective areas from a very young age.
