ok i know i just drew tf hyperlink starscream but i am crazy about jazz and optimus friendship. jazz is soo important to optimus and beside elita is his closest companion. most of optimus friends knew him as orion pax and try to tiptoe around the fact orion is no longer there but is optimus and their superior commander, but jazz meets him and looks past the prime and sees optimus. not as a reminder of a ghost of orion pax, not as the legend of the unwavering Prime, just his friend optimus prime.

Shockwave met Buddy while he was still a senator.

Her parents were fellow senators who hosted a party that night.

The family unit was famously known through the Senate for having many sparklings under their care.

Shockwave felt sorry for most of them, it was clear most of them were going to be used as pawns in their parents’ plan to keep their influence in the government.

Buddy was one of the eldest younglings in the group and often ignored by her parents.

Shockwave had heard her voice more than once in the halls asking archivist and elders questions.

A curious little thing, sadly many didn’t have the patience to deal with.

Shockwave spots Buddy in one of the corners of the room. He walks up to her. She looks up in surprise. Buddy straightens her backstruts: “Senator Shockwave, sir!” Shockwave smiles: “At ease, Buddy.” Buddy looks at him shocked: “You know my designation?” Shockwave: “Of course I do. You’ve made quite a name for yourself with your questions around the Halls.” Buddy’s helm looks down a bit. Shockwave: “Its not bad to ask questions you know. It shows a bot wanting more knowledge, a smart one too.” Buddy shyly looks at him: “You think I’m smart?” Shockwave looks around: “How about we sneak into the Halls for a while? I believe I can answer some of your questions, if not we can always go into the records and look for it.” Buddy’s optics widen in surprise and excitement: “Really! I’d love—I mean—I’d greatly appreciate it Senator Shockwave, but what about my unit?” Shockwave: “Hmm… if anyone asks, you’re my assistant.” Buddy stifles a giggle and nods following the Senator out the door.

Buddy’s parents didn’t even notice one of their sparklings had left the party, they were too busy showing off their favorite sparkling to the crowd.

Meanwhile, Buddy was having a blast asking questions left and right.

Shockwave did his best in answering them all to the best of his abilities.

They did eventually return to the party just in time for the parents to start leaving.

Shockwave was happy to give this youngling a moment of happiness.

What surprised him was Buddy returning to his office the next day asking if she could hang out in his office with him.

The pair soon enough fell into a comfortable routine.

Everyday Buddy would arrive at Shockwave’s office, they would quietly work on whatever they had on hand, have refueling time together and have the rest of the day to do whatever they wanted.

Shockwave loved having this bright optic youngling around, definitely better than the corrupt senators.

Her parents never questioned where Buddy went off to.

Shockwave eventually introduced Buddy to Megatron and Soundwave.

Shockwave: “Buddy this is Megatron and Soundwave, these are some of the bots that want to help Orion and I restore balance in the Senate.” Buddy immediately shakes servos with both the mechs. Buddy: “Its nice to meet you! I’ve read all your works! They truly are inspiring Megatron! Have you ever thought of writing something else for—never mind that was rude of me, how was your day?” Megatron blinking trying to process this little ball of energy. Megatron: “I am doing quite well.” Soundwave nods in agreement. Buddy just smiles wider holding Shockwave’s servo. Megatron: “So this is your sparkling Shockwave?” Shockwave: “Oh, Buddy isn’t—” Buddy: “He’s not my—” Megatron and Soundwave share a look as the two try and explain their ‘not father/daughter relationship’.

Things were going great

Until Buddy didn’t come to his office one day.

She had never been late before, and it was worrying him.

Suddenly the door flew open and shut just as quickly as they closed.

Buddy was panting hard and heavily.

Shockwave was immediately on his pedes and ran towards her asking what was wrong.

Before she could respond, someone kicked in the door.

Shockwave immediately takes her in his arms and away from the mech.

The mech had blasters out and pointed at the pair.

There was no way the security was going to arrive.

When the blasters clicked, Shockwave shielded the youngling with his frame.

Only hoping that none of the blast hit her.

She screamed as the blast sounded.

But the blast never hit them.

The three shots were floating in front of them.

All three bots looked at them in disbelief.

The mech clicked his blaster again, this time Buddy stared at him hard, and the blasts suddenly went to him knocking him unconscious

When the guards arrived, Shockwave was holding a sobbing Buddy in his arms.

It was found out that Buddy was an Outlier with telekinesis.

It scared her badly.

Buddy sniffling in her seat pulling her pedes closer to her frame. Shockwave quietly sat by her side. Buddy fearfully scootched farther away from him. Buddy: “I don’t want to hurt you! Stay away!” Shockwave just offers her his servo. She hesitates but shakingly holds it. Slowly she gravitates to his side. He carefully pulls her into his lap, Buddy curls slightly on it. Buddy: “… Are you going to leave me too?” Shockwave looks at her surprised. Shockwave: “Why would you say that?” Buddy roughly wipes the incoming tears from her face. Buddy: “THEY left me as soon as I showed them… this.” Shockwave buries the anger in his chassis and gives Buddy a good squeeze. Shockwave: “Well… they just gave up an intelligent, energetic youngling with a special gift.” Buddy: “A gift?” Shockwave: “Yes Buddy, your powers are a gift. Imagine all the good you can do with a bit of practice.” Buddy stares at him for a bit. Buddy: “You’re… you’re really not going to leave me?” Shockwave gently rocks her back and forth. Shockwave: “I’d be a down right fool to leave my daughter because of who she was.” Buddy starts full on sobbing holding him tightly. The pair levitates a bit off the ground, but they are too busy hugging to notice.

Shockwave was the one who stood by her side and convinced that this was a gift and not a curse.

This would lead to Shockwave trying to create an academy for Outliers to learn who to control their powers.

Buddy and Shockwave only grew closer as he helped her control her powers and use them.

Life finally seemed to be turning around for the best.

…Until Shockwave was taken.

Buddy was frantic trying to find where he had gone.

Even going to Megatron and Soundwave for help to find the Senator.

She didn’t trust the guards or police.

When Shockwave was released from the empurata procedure, Buddy’s spark broke seeing him like this.

So emotionless and cold.

Shockwave didn’t understand why this youngling was crying over him, but he couldn’t find it to remove her off his frame.

Shockwave stood stiff as the youngling clung onto his frame. Buddy: “I-I-I’m so sorry! I’m so-so sorry!” Shockwave: “…That is illogical.” Buddy turned to look at his singular optic. Shockwave: “You have nothing to do with my frame. It is illogical to say you had a say in this.” Buddy stares at him and once again hugs him tightly. Buddy: “I’m never leaving you alone again. Never again…Dad…” Shockwave: “… Illogical.”

When Shockwave defected to the Decepticons Buddy was right by his side.

She vowed to never leave his side as long as she could help it.

Her powers only grew stronger.

From being able to redirect little blasts, to being able to throw back bots several miles back, to completely taking control of certain parts in a bot’s frame.

Shockwave constantly scheduled tests and experiments for her.

Somewhat… a bit more painful and caused some sickness at times, but she tried her best not to complain.

He had been there for her at her lowest, it was only right to sit with him through his.

Buddy soon earned a reputation amongst the Autobot and Decepticon ranks.

A strange ally for the Decepticons.

A terrifying monster for the Autobots.

The Autobots knew many unspoken things about the war.

One being to never interfere with Optimus and Megatron when they fought.

Another, if Shockwave was nearby, his little Monster was close by.

  Sadly, for her, she would get separated from Shockwave during the fall of Cybertron.

It had taken Megatron knocking her out to avoid the destruction of the Nemesis.

She mourned for her father for a while.

Soon enough, after Megatron’s disappearance, Buddy would become the Chief scientist on the Nemesis.

She didn’t display her powers too much, only using them whenever Soundwave brought her out to train.

The more time passed in this ‘stalemate’ the more Buddy let loose.

She started getting to know more about her fellow Vechicons.

They all grew to love the bot.

She was nice company and empathetic, something that was rare to see now a days.

Knockout and Breakdown walking into one of the hallways. They both stop. Knockout: “Er… what is going on?” Buddy was smiling using her powers to make some of the Vechicons fly around the halls. Breakdown: “Let’s not question it. No harms being done unlike last lab visit.” Knockout cringes a bit. Knockout: “It took me weeks to get that slime out of my vents.”

Knockout is almost always about to blow a fuse with Buddy.

Not because she is a bad kid, far from that.

It’s just ever since Buddy found some paint and a mop, she had been doodling or taking notes down on her frame.

It’s not uncommon to see Knockout dragging Buddy by a piece of her kibble to the medbay to clean her paintjob.

Breakdown makes sure that any important notes get replicated on a data pad before Knockout gets the hose.

Knockout: “What in Primus’s name possessed you to use that horrific color to do notes on your frame!” Buddy looking at the neon yellow paint. Buddy: “It looked nice.” Knockout about to have a stroke. Breakdown: “I have all the notes on the data pad.” Knockout: “Good.” The medic puts the giant hose on the Jet setting. Knockout: “Now hold still…”

Starscream sees Buddy as a threat no matter how well she treats him.

Already has several plans to eliminate Buddy, but there are two things stopping him right now.

Soundwave and Lazerbeak.

Lazerbeak was often seen hovering in areas Buddy would normally hang out.

Soundwave had taken up the role of being Buddy’s guardian in the absence of Shockwave.

He could never replace Shockwave, but Buddy was grateful to have him by her side.

Buddy is ready to bash some bots helm the second she finds out they are back.

For one I was thinking of Prime! Optimus x Cybortron reader but the episode where he loses his memories and the reader is a decepticon but before they were one they were just a regular archivist like Orion and he had a crush on them but when they became enemies he had to bury that feelings away and now that he thinks he's just regular Orion and him seeing reader he wants to try and get together with them or admits his feelings to them but of course angst since he will get his memories back and all I can think of before Optimus heads back to base all reader can think 'goodbye....my first love' or something super sad along the lines cause I can imagine the heart break for not only reader but even Optimus when he realizes he might have broke their hearts

TFPrime!Optimus Prime x Cybertronian!GN!Reader Oneshot: I Still Love You

TW/Tags: Angst, heavy angst, ending fully angst but then fluffy, my god I love this man, eventual make out session, death, with would’ve been shorter but I got too into it, reader is super diverse I couldn’t help it, Megatron is aware of OPs feelings, I think that’s all?

You were a decepticon. You worked under Megatron. You were also once friends with Orion Pax. You guys were the ultimate trio..but when Megatron created the cause and Orion became Optimus Prime.

Well you chose your side. And Your relationship was never the same with Optimus since then. You and him fighting each other after each encounter.

The same thing for you and Megatron. Your friendship wasn’t the same after the war began. But you two kept respect and loyalty to each other. Deep down over the many years. Your feelings for your best friend….

You could only hold them down for so long….and you did.

When Megatron returned after disappearing for a good while. You were the first to great him after his return. From behind him you saw Optimus. Your arm soon turning into your blaster as you pointed. Megatron stood in front of him and explained as a now confused Orion pax watched you.

And so Megatron has Orion work in a room. He was an archivest before. Leaving Orion alone.

He gave you the order to stay away from him. He doesn’t want Orion to get distracted after reuniting with two old friends. You and Megatron then got to work on your next plan. After some time when that Arcee autobot came.

You and Soundwave delt with the situation although you wanted to fight. After he left Orion stayed at the corner waiting until you’re alone. So when you walked down the hall and about to turn the corner.

Orion was there with a soft smile. You delt a pain in your spark. Like you missed that damn smile.

Orion started conversation. He really missed you. As you tried to bring him back to his designated quarters to un-code a message needed. He started speaking. You remember how he loved to have conversation with you.

Once there he asked you to stay with him. Or else he’ll not keep doing the coding for the decepticons. And so you sighed and stayed with him as he does his work. You both stand there in silence as he types into the computer. Megatron was asleep so you should be alright for now. As time passes Orion eventually stops and turned toawrds you. His optics nerviously looked at you. you almost forgot how cute he looked when he had something on his mind.

You were standing looking at the screen with your cervos in front of you as your faceplate is nurtural. He’d then scoot up next to you. Looking up at the opposite direction of you as he kept his cervos behind his back.

Scooting next to you as you side eye him with a bit of a frown. “Orion….are you taking a break?”

”I…have a confession to…make to you old friend.” You turned to fully face him. You both were almost the same height after all. “I for a long time have had these..” He struggled to speak. Your optics narrowed but soft as you stared up at him.

“Feelings for you…..” He finally says as he looked at you. You were taken a back. If you’re being totally honest. You thought the reason why he was always around with you and Megatron was because he had a crush on Megatron. And having to fight him all these years and always holding back showed that. But for him to say feelings for you. Yeah you’re of course caught off guard.

You just stared at him as you try to form word. He noticed and his optics almost looked…sad. You seemed uncertain as you keep looking at him. You didn’t know how to react.

Then realizing…you loved that damn bot too. Your feelings for Orion was always there. But you had to push them down all this time.

You panicked. You were so deep in your head as you looked down. You’d then feel a cervo on your chin. It then making you look up at him and Orion had his usual but now less sad optics. “Please…Y/N…Give me a chance to show myself…That…I love You”

You just stared at him and placed your cervo on the wrist of his holding your chin.

You’d sigh and look at him with a bit more calmer optics. And a tiny smile at the corner of your dermas. “When we win…..I’ll bond with you Orion…”

He’d smile and leaned down a bit as his dermas connect with yours. You returning the kiss….feeling his arm wrap around your waist as your cervos stay against your chest…..You almost stopped yourself as you pulled back to look at him. “Ill leave you too work. I shall see you once Megatronus awakens.”

He stared down at you for a moment longer before then nodding. Your cervo gently holding the side of his helm. He gently press his helm against your palm as he closes his optics. And warm smile on his dermas.

He’d then get back to work as ou walk out to go check on Megatron. As the doors closed behind you. Your smile soon turned into a frown. You hated this but…you cant let Orion get too close.

You know your place because of your choice. After time with working with Megatron so long. You remember to Always put work first…Best to deal with Megatron first before he comes with that idea to ‘dismiss’ Orion once his task is finished….

Time to get to work.

Whe Megatron ask Orion about his progress as well as he knows what he’s been up to. You were there in the room. Just watching as the two spoke. Orion not wishing to ask you to avoid the pain. When Orion tried to leave Megatron shows his action meant nothing. Soundwave then walking in.

Megatron that calls for guards as he makes a threat to Orion. Putting his blade close to his helm as Orion stares at him. You’d look with a bit of worry in your eyes. As Megatron made his way to the door. He glances at you then Orion. Smirking as he grabbed your cervo.

“Come along. We have Autobot scum to handle..” You are dragged along taken with him as Orion looked in worry. You doing the same until the door closes.

You joined Megatron in the battle.Taking down the Autobots as you both stand waiting for Arcee to come out. That’s until Orion comes out of the portal and confronts you and Megatron.

Then running into battle trying to attack Megatron…But fails.

You’d watch as Megatron was about to kill Orion, but Arcee was able to get Megatron by surprise and distract him. When the human boy walks out…..You see what he was holding…He’d then see you.

Scared. But as Orion and the human looked at you. You just turned your helm away. And let the human have the Matrix bring back Optimus memory.

Even taking a few steps away as Orion. Now Optimus soon stands up.

Optimus Primes glare returning as you sat on the floor to make it seem like you were hit. You don’t need Megatron knowing of your betrayel. As he fought Megatron. You just watched.

Even when Megatron was down for a moment you and Optimus Prime make optic contact. He in his spark felt pain when he realized there was sadness in your optics as you had your blaster not pointed at him. You’d give him a nod as Arcee shot you. Making you stay down…

Damn..You got close. As you made your way to standing up the others started going through their portals. Megatron and Optimus shooting as each other until Optimus gres through a portal.

Megatron only yells as you stand. You both eventually returning to the ship.

After that even Optimus can tell there was something in his spark that created some pain. As if a part of him remembered what happened while in his time as Orion. It wasn’t any different from you.

The pain in your spark as you had to return to fighting against Optimus once more. You just felt pain as you continue to work alongside Megatron. Despite the cause no longer being what it use to mean. Your biggest flaw was always that you were so loyal.

When the Decepticons and Autobots had their final battle with each other. You were taken by the Autobot Smokescreen. Being held captive in the ship away from the other decepticons as the others worked on making the ship go to Cybertron.

You weren’t sure on why you had a room to your self.

Both of your cervos cuffed together as you sat against the wall. Maybe because you were bigger then the other bots? But as you were in deep thought. You’d then hear the doors open….It was Optimus.

He walks up to you and stands a couple feet in front of you.

You’d stand up as looked at Optimus as he stared down at you. As he spoke he mentions how things are difficult despite the win.

And how he always had these feelings eventually. Only for you to stop him as you placed your cuffed cervos on his chest. “I know Optimus..You told me when..you were Orion that time.” Your optics are said but he can tell you’re telling the truth as he looked down at you.

”I’m not sure what lies before us but…I only can hope. By time. We…”

”Optimus…I..I love you too. But we made our choices…so now we can only face the consequences of our actions.”

”Then…will you do me the honor of…”

”Once I prove myself…I hope you will take me as a sparkmate..Please let me prove myself to you. Optimus Prime..”

He’d stay quiet for a moment before eventually nodding.

Your cervos gently pulled at the top of his chest. He looked at you a bit surprised before a small but gentle smile forms on his dermas. He’d then lean down. His helm close to yours as your optics show warmth. A small smile on your dermas as well.

The two of your embracing each other as both of your dermas together. The silent room soon only echoing in the sounds of your kisses and soft moans.

Before you knew it Optimus Prime had a cervo holding your cuffed one over your head. You both now on the floor as he stays ontop. The make out session continueing. His other arm supporting him up above you.

But then when Bee comm Optimus telling him he’s needed. Causing you to sigh. He promises he’ll return to you. You both having the same feeling through both of your sparks.

After some time Starscream tried to use his escape plan. Knockout coming along. He dragged ou with him to join but when you refused and Starscream insulted Knockout in front of the autobots. Knockout was the one to knock out Starscream.

When that didn’t seem to do anything much you are the one to truly knock him out with your own cuffed arms.

The hit being nothing to you as the Autobots watched. After a nice conversation with the Autobots Bee is the one to un-cuff you. Optimus being to busy with Unicron.

After everything with Megatron and dealing with the dead of the predicons while protecting the well. And getting rid of Unicron as Megatron soon leaves.

Optimus makes his last speech…He never got to keep his word last time. Saying your last goodbye as he soon flys into the air…and Sacrificed himself for his planet. After that you watched at many sparks fly out of the well to find your place. A Red and Al so Blue light showing as it looks over you all.

It then flew around you and sets on your chest for just a moment. Before soon joining the others…You knew you’ll never see him again. But that love in your spark for him will never leave…He will never be dead in your spark. You will see him once more though.

Nononono. I love SG!ConstructProwl. Because consider in IDW Baseline he never accepted them truly and they left him.

In SG they are successful at wooing him.

In SG it is the Constructicons are medics. In BL, they forcibly converted Prowl because of orders and feel in love with his brain. In there's during the SG!ProwlOP divorce, they find him beaten and broken left to die, and having seen what he went through feel sick at the idea of leaving him, and his Spark case is compromised. So they temporarily hook him into their Gestalt system since it is made to accept others, but Prowl latches on to them and is utter enraptured by their loyalty and love. He knows it exists but feeling that kind of loyalty and naivete about being goodness in the world after everything he sees is charming and what's more he wants it. So they've been chosen by a feral sleazy cat/mean girl who is very much now "Optimus who?" and eyeing them up while they squeak and push at him with a broom especially since he refuses to break the bond and gives them sad cat eyes that they know–they can feel his think which is beautifully sharp and horrifically clear and calculating–it is fake but the thought of hurting him and echoed memory of rejections and beatings and not being enough that radiates at the spark of him makes them unable to let go.

Even more Prowl is more than rwady to go full ride or die and has decided to be their murderous "he said no pickles" girlfriend and torment them into not overworking themselves and glare at the Decepticons who ask for assistance or projects and make sure they eat and are fed and have a schedule. The Constructicons overextend themselves to support everyone and have issues saying no.

Prowl does not.

The Decepticons are horrified at the implication of taking advantage and Megatron finds himself agreeing with Prowl about them taking care of themselves while they get upset at first but reluctantly admit he's right.

"Of course I am." Is Prowl’s only response as he shoves cube of Energon flavored to each of their exact tastes and locks down their work stations (Soundwave conveniently distracts Shockwave so he can't help them hack back in) and shuffles them to berth.

Hm, I have thoughts now about Workaholic!SG!Constructicons and their small bossy new self-assigned wife.

It is such the opposite of canon and now he's the one who is sticking close by, because he has felt Positive Emotions that do not come from someone else's Negative Emotions for the first time and he's hooked.

Yes I'm fiddling around with the constructicon's colors and I am so tempted to keep the purple and not the green

Hot Rod and Soundwave are on opposite sides of the war because of this they need to keep their relationship a secret. On Cybertron, seekers are seen as the most beautiful and are highly sought after. Most seekers are part of the Decepticons. Some of them want to get ahead and think sleeping with high command will do that for them.

They start flirting with Soundwave and trying to attract his attention and one time during a battle Hot Rod sees them flirting with Soundwave and becomes insecure.

I honestly think most of the seekers would be too afraid to approach Soundwave.

Thundercracker and Skywarp? Yes. Starscream? He’s with ol Megsy lol

I think Tc and Skywarp try just once with Soundwave and he terrifies them by giving them a certain look and revving his engine a little at them and they’re off flying away because no one on base purposely makes Soundwave mad. Megatron is, believe it or not, very lenient with his troops even with his terrible temper and ways. He does care about them after all. you don’t piss him off of course but you know you’ll live as long as its not trying to leave the cons.

But with Soundwave and Shockwave?

Better to chance Megatron. He’ll beat you if you push far enough yes. Guaranteed. But Shockwave and Soundwave?

You don’t chance it with them.

Shockwave for obvious experimental reasons.

Soundwave?

He is terrifying in his own right both mentally and physically and those cassettes? They’ll do anything for their cassette carrier.

If Megatron makes it a personal goal not to annoy Soundwave and Starscream is afraid of him and doesn’t involve him in his schemes.

Why would any bot be dumb enough to flirt with the communications officer?

Well, any bot but Hot rod who is secretly conjunxed to him. Dumb dumb still gets insecure thinking anyone other than him is brave enough to be with the officer.

Soundwave just gives him a look and shows him why no one else catches his optic or spark like Hot rod does.

A what if situation where Hot Rod surprise everyone by following Soundwave over to the Decepticon side after Megatron gives his speech that he wanted to divide the two sides of Cybertron.

Distantly he could hear Megatron talking past the rush of energon in his audios. He was staring at Soundwave who stood across from him. Autobots on one side and Deceptions on the other. The two of them stared at each other in longing. Both willing the other to take a step forward and close the gap between them.

He knew their relationship would never be the same after this. If they were forced to go their separate ways. After finally getting to be with him, he couldn't loose him again. Especially when... He put a protective hand on his belly. During the fight he'd gotten a message informing him that he was sparked.

He knew if they were on opposite sides he wouldn't be able to get transfluid donations. Which means their little one would fizzle out and die. He couldn't let that happen. Even if every part of him protested against it he had to do it for his little one.

To the surprise of everyone around him he took a step forward and then another and another until he was on the Decepticons side. Megatron looked surprised and Optimus looked hurt. However he didn't care. Standing by Soundwave's side he ignored his friends shocked, confused, and hurt expressions.

Soundwave put a hand on his lower back as a way to ground him. He was likely equally as confused having never expected him to join his side.

He rubbed his belly planning on telling him the first chance he got. Now however he vaguely listened to what Megatron was saying, wanting nothing more than to find somewhere safe and build his nest. There was so much to do before the sparkling came and he could only hope he was making the right decision.

Hello! Can you please write what happened after Knockout joined the autobots? How did he adapt to the new environment? Will something change in him? How do team members treat him? can he make friends with someone? You wrote something similar with Starscream and I was very interested to see the Knockout version!

*does a little happy dance* I have waited so long for an excuse to write this exact scenario! Knockout, my dearest beloved, oh how I love hurting and then healing you.

Knockout's Integration

Due to his somewhat shifty nature, there was exactly zero trust between Knockout and the team in the beginning. They saw his usefulness and his apparent willingness to join them, but old wounds take time to heal. They got along well enough during the conflict against a possessed Megatron and the Terrorcon army that he raised, but once all was said and done, there were some issues.

Optimus flinging himself into the well to restore Cybertron did no favors when it came to the stability of the team, leaving most of them depressed and out of it. This in turn meant that the singular mech among them who had no strong connections to the Prime became the unintentional emotional support medic for the team as they began work on rebuilding Cybertron. Knockout was by no means particularly welcomed during the first few weeks or even months of his time with the team, but after stopping Ratchet from following his Prime into the well, the team started to see him in a new light.

Despite their past grievances, Bumblebee was the first to try and befriend Knockout. The scout, suffering from rather severe denial when it came to Optimus's death, was doing everything in his power to mimic his Sire. This meant that in his mind, trying to befriend Knockout was a must, even if he wasn't fond of the idea. At first Bumblebee's attempts to get along with Knockout were stiff, fake, and largely awkward. But after Bumblebee broke character during a bad bout of depression, he and Knockout began to actually make some progress. And soon enough, Bumblebee stopped acting entirely and began to bond with Knockout over little things like their grievances with work and other bots.

Through Bumblebee and their frequent visits to the medical bay, Knockout eventually began to warm up to the wreckers. Bulkhead and Wheeljack were a rowdy pair but mostly accepting of Knockout swapping sides. They did snark and poke fun at him a few times, but Knockout's increadible charm and self confidence allowed him to brush off their half-hearted insults easily. The wreckers playful insults were nothing on Starscream's screeching, Megatron's very real threats of death, or Soundwave's withering glares. Despite everything, Knockout managed to become reasonably acquainted with the two wreckers, both reminding him a lot of Breakdown and leading him to sometimes mother hen them unintentionally. Especially when the two managed to get hurt and try to walk it off without medical care.

Ultra Magnus and Knockout were not on good terms and that relationship did not change much at all even after Optimus's return decades later. The commander was not fond of the former Decepticon medic and honestly, Knockout wasn't all that fond of him either. Ultra Magnus in Knockout's own words is: "A mech with the biggest stick up his tailpipe I have ever seen". Knockout's cool and rather flamboyant demeanor earned him no favors when it came to Ultra Magnus, his polar opposite in personality. Both were content to remain uneasy allies and make snarky comments at the other whenever possible.

Arcee had so many mental problems that Knockout's medical coding physically required that he try and help her even if she didn't want it. And so even during the early days of his transition into a member of the Autobots, he made regular check-in's with Arcee and asked not so subtly what her issues were. She avoided him like the plague for a long while until he talked her through a panic attack after a loud crash in a construction zone. After that they developed a friendship around their lost loved ones, with both talking about the good times they shared with those they kept closest to their sparks. In a way in was healing for both of them, allowing them to voice their pains without fear of backlash.

As for Ratchet and Knockout? As a general rule they are at each other's throats one moment and then merrily getting along discussing medicine the next. There is no warning when in comes to what their interactions are going to look like, but still they have a friendship, albeit one built entirely around medicine and irritating patients. However hidden beneath the surface of their friendship is a delicate balance barely maintained. Ratchet has not done well without Optimus, with most of his will to live following the Prime into the well. And after catching Ratchet and pulling him back before he could join his Prime as one with the allspark, Knockout has become one of the few ties that has kept Ratchet from doing anything drastic. Ratchet relies on him, not for comfort, but for stability. Knockout makes sure he stays fueled, makes sure to remind him of what he lives for, and keeps him from thinking on things too hard with ridiculous statements and his theatrics.

It has taken time, but Knockout has integrated well.

Knockout's Thoughts and Changes

In the beginning Knockout saw the Autobots behavior as completely within the realms of what he expected. He was prepared for hostility and emotionally and physically ready to do whatever underhanded things were necessary to secure himself a safe position. Seduction, Intelligence collection, favors, and anything else that could be asked of him were things that Knockout was resigned to doing should the need arise. However he found himself pleasantly surprised when nothing was required of him to attain things like safety and secure rations. As long as he didn't make trouble and did his job as a medic, no bot seemed to have a real issue with him beyond his previous allegiance.

After a few weeks he started to get a little paranoid with the overall neutral attitude toward his presence and began prodding at others, looking for the violent reactions he was used to. Knockout had always assumed that the Autobots operated on a similar strength based chain of command to the Decepticons. And so as he prodded, he searched for weaknesses, desires, and anything else that could be used to help him climb the ranks if need be. However all he found instead were a bunch of incredibly broken mecha.

Bumblebee's obvious denial regarding his Sire's death was spark breaking to witness. Thinking that it could have been a trap of some sort, Knockout avoided the mentally crippled youngling for a while. However when he found Bumblebee having a mental breakdown crying out for his Sire, Knockout threw his old Decepticon behaviors out the window in favor of helping. He held the youngling as he cried and poured out his very spark and tucked him into his berth when he finally fell into recharge out of exhaustion. From that point onward, Knockout couldn't in good conscious leave the youngling alone and so quickly found himself getting attached. In the end he and Bumblebee formed a friendship, and Knockout couldn't even find it in himself to be mean in any real fashion, not when Bumblebee so desperately needed emotional support.

Knockout hadn't intended on befriending the wreckers, mainly because they reminded him too much of Breakdown. However watching Wheeljack walk into an explosion and out the other end with melted finals, he couldn't help but chastise the mech as he used to with Breakdown as he fixed him up. Bulkhead was no better and Knockout ended up scuffing his paint in an attempt to stop him from trying to wander off with a mangled leg. The former Decepticon eventually gave up on trying to avoid the wreckers since they ended up in his medical bay so often. Instead he threw his servos up and allowed a fledgling friendship to form, with his two idiots getting hurt and him fixing them up in exchange for polish, a buff session, of a good treat.

It hurt his spark to see the wreckers smile, they reminded him so much of Breakdown it made him want to scream and hold them tight at the same time. But he managed to keep it together, and over time, his relationship with the wreckers helped him soothe the pain of Breakdown's death as he helped the wreckers deal with the aftereffects of what they said was "A great idea at the time".

Knockout would never admit it, but he was genuinely scared of Ultra Magnus. The mech is huge, intimidatingly, and has no tolerance for bad behavior. Everything about him reminded Knockout of Megatron and the mixed respect and fear he learned to associate with the mech. It didn't help that Ultra Magnus gave no leeway when it came to Knockout's integration. If the commander had his way he would have kept Knockout locked in a room with 24 hour supervision for at least a decade. As such Knockout tried to avoid Ultra Magnus when possible, and when unable, he couldn't stop himself from reverting back to how he behaved as a Decepticon. Throwing snark, being extra flamboyant, and making ominous threats even when he knew that Ultra Magnus wouldn't harm him without good reason.

Arcee was an interesting case for Knockout. At first he also steered clear of her, being well aware of his rather violent history. However as he dissected her nature through careful observation he came to see just how messed up she was in the head. And being a medic first and foremost, he made it his personal mission to get Arcee the therapy she so desperately needed. So to get her attention, he became the single handedly most irritating bot ever, constantly turning up and asking her questions at the most random moments. After helping her deal with a few panic attacks during one of his random check-ups, he managed to get her to open up a bit. And by Primus, he was shocked by what she told him about.

Weather she liked it or not, Knockout sort of adopted Arcee into his friend group of mentally crippled individuals, his group consisting of Bumblebee and Ratchet. He took her and his group everywhere and watched them like a hawk when on duty. He brought them little treats and always made sure Arcee had a comfort item on her when she was going somewhere farther out. When they grew closer, he also took the time to talk with Arcee, helping her work out her thoughts and pent up emotions by sharing his own.

As for Ratchet? Knockout was also rather terrified of him. He had seen and heard enough about the old medic to know that Ratchet was not only one the best doctors to ever walk Cybertron, but also highly dangerous. Knockout was incredibly careful when it came to Ratchet, knowing that the medic could hold a hard grudge when he wanted to, Knockout checked everything Ratchet gave him. Any interactions with him were closely examined and Knockout looked for everything that could be used against the medic should the need arise. He constantly made remarks about Ratchet's past and the war, hoping to figure out just what made Ratchet tick. And once he found out that the subject of Optimus was a trigger, Knockout prodded at it whenever possible.

He didn't know that his words hurt more than he realized. And it was only after he pulled Ratchet back from the edge of the well that he realized just how shattered Ratchet was mentally. Every comment about Optimus was silenced and Knockout took to caring for Ratchet in his rather underhanded way. He tried to give the medic things to do, people to talk with, and overall keep him out of his own helm. Over time he got Ratchet back on his pedes alongside the rest of his mentally crippled patients, eventually leading him and Ratchet to develop an actual friendship. They bickered in a friendly manner and talked about what was and what will be. However Knockout could see just how delicate Ratchet's mental state was even after plenty of therapy and aid on his part. In the end he was the one who got Ratchet a minicon companion a few years after the well started spitting out newsparks. It was the best he could do to help his friend start caring about life again.

At the end of it all, Knockout hardly noticed the changes he went through. His frame hardly shifted, only gaining a slightly greater luster. But his optics were brighter, no longer dulled with fear and hopelessness. His movements were more open, less controlled, and highly expressive. His smiles were less prideful and instead kind, if one were to look past his theatrics. Overall he became a happier healthier mech, even his mental state improved as he aided others, his grief over Breakdown's death healing with time.

When Optimus returned, the team were ecstatic. They were too happy to have their Prime back to see what Knockout could see.

Optimus's optics were too similar to Ratchet's during the first few years of Knockout working with him. The Prime's movements seemed choreographed, planned, almost like he was unsure how to act. And most concerningly to Knockout, Optimus seemed like he wasn't fully there mentally. His actions did not line up with the powerful Prime he had fought against decades prior.

Knockout watched quietly as Optimus interacted with those around him. Everything he did seemed like it was scripted or reused in some way, shape, or form. When forced to make a decision, his choices were skewed, almost immature, often forgetting the bigger goal in favor of whatever it was that caught his interest first. His interactions with Bumblebee were frustrating for everyone involved. Bumblebee was still recovering from his deep denial and still mimicked Optimus more often than not. The Prime in question reacting to this by behaving in a manner that resembled a rookie more so than an ancient scholar, warrior, and god-avatar.

Knockout could see that others sensed Optimus's odd shift, but they refused to acknowledge it, chalking it up to the Prime getting used to civilian life after millennia of war. But Knockout was not one to ignore a problem right in front of his face.

Whatever was going on with Optimus was serious, and it needed to be addressed before the Prime did something foolish.

How do you imagine the relationship between the bumblebees ?

And is yours with someone? (What crimes did he commit?)

Bumblebee does not currently have a relationship!

He and Megatron had a brief affair in their youth, which was interrupted because they both thought the other had died. Bumblebee was framed for the destruction of a mining rig he was working at, and it was framed as indistrial sabotage gone wrong, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of people.

He did not, in fact, do this and was away because he was trying to report the mining place for incredibly illegal unsafe working conditions and for it being a cover job for something more nefarious. He still has their records saved to his hardrive and vowed to take them down.

He was actually actively opposing the government for ages before Jazz got involved with his ring or hooked up with Ratchet and Drift's help groups or Hoist and Grapple's smuggling operations. Bee is a shadow and kind of fucked over Cliffjumper by accident because they were sharing an apartment and the government officials came for him before Bumblebee could warn him.

So Bumblebee was framed for a lot of charges that just kept getting added to and was an enemy of the state.

He and Megatron have a lot of unresolved feelings about being each other's first lost loves whose deaths were part of what drove them to oppose an unjust system. By the time they say each other, though they were on opposite sides.

This Bumblebee is significantly older than most Bumblebees and is, in fact, older than most of High Command on both sides. Soundwave being a very, very large exception as he and Ravage are two of the oldest Cybertronians alive.

Anyway, how would Bumblebee interact with his counterparts! He would still be very energetic and friendly, but it is tempered by a very long life and would likely find all his (generally) younger counterparts to be cute kids. I think he'd be done for playing with them and meet their energy, but be very good at listening and offering advice. L!Bumblebee would likely get along with all of his counterparts pretty easily, though he'd definitely shock them all once he revealed his age.

what kind of relationship do starscream and Shockwave have ?

In the Miracle AU their relationship can be described as professional animosity with sprinkles of respect. Starscream and Shockwave tolerate each other.

Shockwave doesn't get in Starscream’s way like Megatron or Soundwave, unless Starscream interferes with one of his experiments. So if Starscream plays his cards right he can keep Shockwave out of potential power squabbles. Shockwave staying cooped up in his lab is exactly how Starscream likes him. The one eyed dragon also unnerves him, just a bit. And he has enough problems to deal with without dumping Shockwave on top of it all.

Starscream irritates Shockwave on a fundamental level. Many of his actions are the opposite of logical. Add to that Starscream's (very vocal) belief that he's a better scientist than Shockwave, and Shockwave wouldn't mind ripping out the seeker's processor so he can study it for deficiencies.

However, the two must admit, even subconsciously, that they are both very good at their jobs. Killing Autobots. If Megatron orders them to work together Starscream and Shockwave can do it. Even if neither are happy about it.

I have such difficulty shipping Megatron or OP with anyone but each other in TFP. They're just so laser-focused on each other! I feel like even if they ended up in berth with someone else, like Megatron and Soundwave, Megatron would still end up calling out Optimus' name.

I'm actually the opposite, mostly with Optimus though (but it does change). I think Optimus has the unique kind of love where he can be with multiple people and still care about them equally and respectfully.

Like in TFP, while he had chemistry with Megatron I always felt he had it with Ratchet too. I have many thoughts about the dynamic of Ratchet and Optimus's relationship, but I don't think he would find it hard to love him in addition to Megatron.

I also think of Megatron got with Soundwave, he'd respect him enough not to do that. I believe Soundwave and Optimus hold an equal importance to him, due to the role they played in his revolution and his life. I think he'd care too much about Soundwave to ever mistake him for Optimus.

i was wondering what the terrans would think if they learned abt most of the (former) decepticon high command and op being close before the war and how they'd feel about op technically being one of the main founders of the decepticons (assuming this goes with ur au. lol.)

I am all too happy to clarify how it goes for my AU! So here we go!

Technically, he didn’t found the Decepticons, in fact, both factions were established way before all of the current’s second creators/grandparents were even remotely imagined. And the war by technicality was long over way before Alchemist died. It was just the fucking functionalists that honestly couldn’t let it die like the little pissbaby losers they were.

However, Op was definitely to some extent close with the command before he became Prime, or at least Megatron and Soundwave - both of whom he - kind of - lived with.*

And on a further note, he was almost an inside man with how avidly he was trying to tear down the council and rework the Autobots from the inside out/top down. He just didn’t share very much of what he was doing to much of anyone.

* Honest to god, it was just Megs insistently bringing this wet cat of a man home almost every day, because he simply could not help himself. Orion just got used to having Soundwave visit like every other day.

This is why Megatron is genuinely so patient - he had to deal with these two fucking dumbasses on the regular, then there was spicy kitten Roller, and on top later came along the six cassettes. Then he became leader of the Decepticons and had five more dumbasses to live with day in-day out from his command alone, not to mention everyone else.

Megatron and Orion had always been close and the whole ‘Decepticon Leader’/becoming ‘Prime’ thing didn’t even cause the most minor of dents to strain their relationship. Arguably, Megs was more concerned about how firmly Orion was trying to ignore the Matrix having chose him, and how nonchalantly disinterested he was when it was spoken of/brought up.

Soundwave and Orion had an almost brotherly relationship. Megs and Ariel at first was shaky (Megs was just being a little overprotective of his precious baby brother, and he’s quite a big intimidating mech.), but they quickly made amends to become friends, having realized their similarities between the lines of being cordial and learning to live with each other for the sake of all future Christmas dinners they knew they’d have to spend together as in-laws (upon noticing she was, in fact, harmless, and he had nothing to worry about. Orion would be okay.).

The others of the command weren’t quite as close but they certainly considered Optimus a fairly decent Prime, and something of a friend, for a variety of reasons, if pessimistic and quiet sometimes, other times homicidal but the best ally they’d ever met. Elita was generally pretty nice company, and they hardly had to change much when around her, and her avid interaction in fandom space made her really fun.

To date, not much has changed over the years.

So Op and Elita were/are fairly close with the Decepticon command, in conclusion.

Its fun doing these request when one sibling has the complete opposite personality as the other. As for the romantic side of this, I left it vague, but its there. Megatron’s older brother who is a softy and trigger happy for blasters

No one knows how they are related. Many speculate that the older brother simply lost his mind. Others think it’s some sort of master façade he is pulling off. But he is known widely on both sides of the war for his insane usage of their blaster. A true agent if chaos behind that blaster.

Despite this Buddy is one of the softer Con’s onboard the Nemesis. When he is not wielding a blaster in the heat of battle, he is the other doctor besides Knockout.

He is a visible representation of the good side of the Decepticon cause.

Megatron

He loves his older brother truly.

But the way he acts irks him greatly, especially seeing how long the war has dragged out.

He loves seeing his older brother behind the blaster. He knows that he will hit his target and get things done.

As one of the only other doctors Megatron doesn’t bring Buddy out to the field as often as he’d like. But in a way it is good to know that his brother is safe on the ship.

Starscream is not allowed 10 feet from Buddy.

Megatron is no fool in how powerful his brother can be, whether with blaster or his words. He did after all help him with his manifesto before the war broke out.

He used to tease his older brother for having feelings for Orion Pax back on Cybertron.

“It appears we have soft spots for archivist, brother. Some of us however, softer than others?”--Megatron

“I don’t know what you’re talking about Megatron. Pax and I are just friends.”--Buddy

“I never specified it was Orion Pax.”--Megatron

But now as Optimus Prime, Megatron does not let Buddy anywhere near him. He is afraid deep down that the Autobots will take advantage of him, or worse get him to defect to their side.

If Buddy ever defected to the other side, not only would Megatron spiral more into his madness, but he knows he won’t be able to hurt Buddy.

He just couldn’t do it if it came up.

Soundwave

Soundwave is one of Buddy best friends aboard the Nemesis.

As the brother of his leader Soundwave comes to Buddy a lot to relay messages or give updates.

Buddy in return makes sure that his workplace is spic and span. For maximum work efficiency of course.

Buddy is often followed by Lazerbeak when they go out of the ship. Buddy doesn’t mind it too much enjoying the minicons company.

“Are you joining me on my patrol today Lazerbeak?”--Buddy

Lazerbeak bobbing up and down.

“Heh. Then let us go, my friend. The sooner we do patrol the sooner we come back to the ship.”--Buddy

During the early stages of the war, Buddy often teamed up with Soundwave’s minicons whenever he wasn’t called to Megatron’s side. Soundwave knew that if they were with him, they would be fine.

The one time he wasn’t there…

It was a day of mourning for the small group of Decepticon’s that had recently formed. Buddy held on to Soundwave as he mourned and did his oath of silence.

There is an unspoken respect for each other that runs deep.

If Buddy was ever in danger on the battlefield, Soundwave is the first to send a ground bridge to his location. Worst case scenario, he is going in there himself to get Buddy out of there.

“Prime, it seems we are alone on the battlefield again.”--Buddy

“It seems we are.”--Optimus

“Are we going to finish this? Or are we going to wait for my brother?”--Buddy

“Whatever choice you make. Though this would not be the case if you’d join—”--Optimus

Groundbridge opens as Soundwave is flying to get Buddy out of there.

“Till we meet again Prime!”--Buddy

“Till we meet again.”--Optimus

Knockout and Breakdown

These two are his best friends. They share the number one slot.

Soundwave is the close second.

At first the pair was weary of Buddy for his reputation on the battlefield and being the older sibling of their leader.

They are very much surprised on how soft Buddy was.

Over time they stop being so stiff and come to relax in each other’s presence.

There is a lot of gossip that happens in the medbay.

Knockout finds himself a new doctor friend to talk to.

“So, what did the human do this time?”--Buddy

“Well, this one decided to scratch my paint job. So, I thought it was only fitting to do the same.”--Knockout

“Is the human dead?”--Buddy

“…No?”--Knockout

“Knockout.”--Buddy

“Maybe? I don’t know.”—Knockout

Breakdown finds himself a new sparring partner and co-nurse/co-doctor. The two of them often look out for the Vechicon soldiers.

“Do you think we can get the Vechicon’s better rationings?”--Breakdown

“I’ll see what I can do Breakdown. I think I can do it.”—Buddy

If Buddy is in any danger while they are together, they are making sure that Buddy has their support. Knockout attends Buddy’s wounds and will snap at him for trying to mend it himself.

“Will you stop picking the welding! You should know that irritates the wound!”--Knockout

“… It itches…”--Buddy

“Oh my—Breakdown hold him down.”--Knockout

“Wait what?”--Buddy

“Sorry Buddy but this is for your own good.”--Breakdown

Vechicons

All of them visibly relax when Buddy comes in.

Everyone knows Buddy and their reputation. It’s not a reputation anyone can take lightly.

But he does take extra care of the smaller troops that go out into battle. Besides Breakdown, Buddy seems to be the only other bot who actively worries about the lives of each and every one of them.

On the slower days on the ship, Buddy likes to talk to the crew to boost their morality or give them a shoulder to vent or cry on because this war had gone on for millennia and there seems to be no end in sight.

If Buddy was ever wounded in battle, all the Vechicons are on it. They make sure that he gets back to the ship as quickly as possible. Screw whatever mission, they are getting one of the only Cons that cares out of there alive.

Starscream: Her best friend. Her pal. Her favorite person to annoy. Dance partner. She adores him. Lectures him often, but it comes from a place of love.

Knockout: Gossip buddy. Give each other advice and have weekly vent sessions. Sometimes she'll buff his finish when Breakdown is out. They love looking at paint jobs together.

Megatron: Nothing but deep admiration and respect for her leader. Does find him intimidating (as all cons do), but she somewhat cares for him. Reminds him to take care of himself. (She also has a small crush on him but will never voice it due to many factors).

Breakdown: Her sparring partner. These two go head to head a lot, but it's all in good fun. She usually trains and does missions with him and Knockout. Loves his "hammer time" puns.

Soundwave: Nope Nope. He scary. He terrifies her more than Megatron. He's her exact opposite and while the two can work together, she never wants to get on his bad side. Doesn't dislike him at all, but will usually avoid him.

Shockwave: Another con she usually doesn't associate herself with. She does find his intelligence impressive, and will compliment him on his work, but just finds it hard to keep a conversation going. He kinda scares her too.

Dreadwing: These two don't really talk, but she has respect for him. She sees him as the standard for a loyal decepticon and thinks everyone should look up to him. She gives him the occasional compliment.

Airachnid: These two cannot STAND each other. Aura thinks Airachnid is full of herself, and Airachnid finds Aura to be childish and annoying. They can't be in the same room because they WILL tear each other apart. Aura tried to befriend her when they first met, but quickly realized she couldn't trust her at all. She laughed when Airachnid lost to Soundwave.

The Vehicons: Her babies. All of them. She thinks they deserve better and adores every single one of them. She will often check on them during her rounds and shows each of them the same level of respect.

Oh not ALL of the relationships in the tfp au are super pda-ey. Wavewave is after all a non-romantic related built upon mutual needs and understandings. Ratchet and Pharma's love language is bickering and whatever the opposite of a backhanded compliment is (an endearing insult?) June and Arcee aren't quite ones for the P in pda from what I see. Bumblebee and Blades imo are in the same situation (although I can see them getting more and more serious in their relationship and eventually moving onto more pda?) And as I've mentioned Ratchet and Soundwave are entirely platonic with each other, and Shockers and Pharma acknowledge that they're somewhat connected but somewhat not.

On the other hand... Megatron and Optimus seem super duper physically affectionate with each other and it seems like a relationship trait that is because of the war. When they were Orion and 'Tronus, it was kinda a secret, but now? Now they've fought each other bloody and panting on the battlefield, and they are far more bold than the younglings they used to be. Knockout and Breakdown are also big on pda and it's partially to fuck with other mecha's processors sure but also because their marriage is just like that ^w^. Bulkhead and Wheeljack remind me of how some comets only come near earth every once in a while, and it's a "I (hope) will see you again" situation. They make the absolute most of the time they are together, just in case. Starscream used to be suuuuper touchy with her trine, those three were super willing to pick each other up or lay on each other or shake the everloving hell out of each other. Starscream misses this, but he knows he will never have it back— and he has come to terms with this.

I got a funny idea or at least I think it's funny. Megatron is Hot Rods sire and they don't have the best relationship with being on opposite sides and all. One day he's going to Soundwave's office asking if he finished his reports when he finds Hot Rod and Soundwave making out. He's shocked because Soundwave is his amica and Hot Rod is his kid and he looks between the two of them sees how their cuddled together and just crashes. His mind can't handle it.

It sends him into spark failure and Hot rod is stuck between laughing and having a mental breakdown over his sire almost offlining seeing him make out with his dads best friend.

He has a real rough emotional time after this but its okay. His sire survives and has this dumb look on his face for as long as the two date and never utters a word of it to Soundwave. Just goes straight into denial after.

The two sat so close together their thighs brushed. Sending tingles down his spine. Both of them could have moved away. There was plenty of space on the bench, but neither of them did. Choosing to sit close together.

"They're wrong. We don't like each other at all."

"Nope. Not at all."

They both turned away hiding how they really felt, because they both knew an Autobot and a Decepticon would never work out.

Even though Hot Rod tried to hide his feelings for Soundwave. Convincing himself they were merely friends. He still felt betrayed when Soundwave chose Megatron over him. Ignoring the pain in his chest as his spark broke.

He tried to pretend it was because Soundwave was throwing away everything they'd worked so hard to build.

However he could never fully convince himself. No matter how hard he tried.

Upset and missing Soundwave all the time. He tried to stay away from the wall. Refusing to even look at it in the hopes it would help.

Every time he did he felt his spark break a little more. He missed Soundwave so much and despite his refusal to go near it. He found himself being drawn towards it. Every night he dreamed of walking over. Sometimes he'd lay awake at night just imagining it. Something always keeping him from going.

Until one night when he couldn't sleep. he tossed and turned for most of the night. Trying to fall back asleep in vain.

He found himself walking to the wall despite his protests. His exhausted body unable to stay away any longer. Surprised when he found Soundwave waiting for him.

"What do you want?"

He snapped and Soundwave took a step closer.

"Hot Rod?"

"Don't."

He gave him an angry look. Hating the way he said his name and loving it at the same time.

"After everything we've been through. Jow could you throw it all away?"

"Megatron is my leader. Of course I'd follow him."

"I thought what we had was special."

"We were brought together because of the Quentessons. Now that there gone there's no need to be around each other."

"So our friendship means nothing?"

He gave him a hurt look and Soundwave sighed.

"This is for the best."

"I don't believe that. You came here for a reason."

Soundwave looked away refusing to answer.

"I think it's best if I leave."

"No Soundwave."

He begged not wanting him to go.

The Decepticon walked away and he felt tears fall overwhelmed with emotions he shouted.

"I love you! I'm tired of pretending like I don't. I miss you everyday and I need you... Please Soundwave."

The Decepticon looked at him in shock and denial.

"You don't mean that."

"Of course I do."

"No you must have overheard something from someone. Who told you about my feelings?"

"No one. I love you and I want to be with you."

"What can we do? We're on opposite sides."

"I don't know but we'll find a way. I know we can. I can't give up on us. I won't."

He stared Soundwave down and the Deception agreed.

"We'll find a way."

"We'll find a way."

The two looked at each other for a long moment and then Soundwave looked behind him.

"I have to go but I'll have Laserbeak send you a meeting time."

"Okay I'll see you soon."

He watched Soundwave walk away spark beating rapidly in his chest as he realized what he'd said.
