Silly but wholesome idea

Optimus finds a trio of sparklings (Roddy, Bee and Cliff) one day while patrolling near the border. Without thinking he picks them up and heads back to base. Those are his sparklings now and anyone can fight him on it.

Ratchet just rolls his optics unimpressed. Looks like he is an uncle now. :D

Optimus just looks like he would see sparklings and go, “you’re mine now.”

Honestly its the energy we need

I really hope in a future iteration of the Transformers, we get a Starscream who is revealed to be chosen by the Matrix of Leadership to be a Prime.

It could be revealed that the whole reason his spark is immortal (odd HE gets immortality since the only other person to really cheat death like that is Optimus Prime) was because the Matrix was waiting for him to become the leader he needed to be. He always had the potential, but he needs to grow before he earns the right to wield it.

Also, it would've been a cool twist in the original 80's movie if Starscream was the one to wield the Matrix instead of Hot Rod, Magnus, or Galvatron (and been more a meaningful pick IMO), but of course that would've required a heck of an arc in the movie and we would've never gotten ghost Starscream so... *shrugs*

IDK, i just think a Prime Starscream would be pretty cool.

EDIT: Follow up question, what would be a good Prime name for Starscream? I think something like Sirius Prime would be fitting (Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky).

Can you do a Bayverse Hot Rod (in his holoform) headcanon of what he will do with his pregnant human S/O?

- He will do everything for her. She barely has to lift a finger or do any work. She's creating life, the least he can do is everything else.

- He gets all her cravings. He cooks and makes sure she eats good food for the benefit of her and the baby. But he also makes sure she gets enough treats just for her as well.

- Lots of massages all the time. He'll rub her feet, her back. Whatever she needs.

- He's more than happy to help her shower, dress or even do her makeup for her. He just wants her to rest and give her the easiest nine months of her life.

- He loves doing the trick where he lifts up her belly. Letting her get some relief from the weight.

- He will happily rub lotion onto her belly, it gives him a chance to be close to her and the belly. It also gave him the chance to feel the first kick, which was one of the happiest moments of his life. He was incredibly excited.

- He makes sure to constantly compliment her. He knows it's a hard time, her body is changing. So he tells her everyday that she's beautiful, that he loves and adores her. He tells her everyday he's proud of her and can't wait to have their child together.

- He gives her lots of physical affection when she needs it. And also gives her space when she asks for it. As long as she communicates to him what she wants or needs, he is happy to work with it.

I love Rodimus, there’s something about the character that I cherish. However something that I’ve noticed is how people write him. I’m sure there’s another long tumblr post out there going on the very same rant. I’m not saying my word is final, in fact I would love to have a full conversation about Rodimus.

Now I can’t speak for Generation 1 Rodimus/Hot Rod, or really Transfromers Animated Rodimus, but I can rant about More Then Meets The Eye/Lost Light Rodimus.

In short I think one of the biggest issues I have when starting a new fic would be how one portrays Rodimus. I’m sure everyone has read a fic or two where Rodimus comes off as some kind of immature brat. Sure he can be immature, he can be bratty, even sassy, but when it’s almost every scene he’s in is over kill. Rodimus has flaws, and that’s something I cherish reading and writing about. Rodimus has relatable flaws, his whole life is wrapped up in the war, he’s been forced to destroy his only home, and now he’s set into this role that he doesn’t think he can fill. This makes him rather relatable on several levels.

Now I personally can’t relate to Rodimus 100%, I haven’t been in a war, or set a whole city on fire. But I do know the feeling of high expectations and low self confidence. We’ve all been in that situation, it could’ve been public speaking, or the first time driving, we make mistakes and we’ll beat ourselves up over them for weeks, months, even years in some cases. This is something I see with Rodimus, yes he let Drift take the fall, but he got a chance to sit down and talk with his friend. That’s something you don’t really see in media, and rarely in real life. Rodimus learned from his mistakes, more then likely beat himself up over it and realized his errors and reconnected with Drift.

Personally I think Rodimus is a better Prime when Optimus (I know someone isn’t going to be happy with that statement). Now I love their relationship, I love the idea of this ‘father and son’ set up that they have. Like most parental figures, they’re set in they’re ways, the whole ‘my way or the high way’ mind set is engraved in their skulls. I’m not saying parent’s can’t change, but they’re stubborn. Optimus is a great leader, he’s made some huge mistakes, but he’s a stubborn mech (so is Megatron). Now Rodimus is held up to the same standards, he’s pushed to be this figurehead, this great leader, but Rodimus is far from that. He’s not a leader, he doesn’t act like a Prime, he acts like anyone else. That’s why he’s a great Prime.

So if you’re going to write Rodimus, write him as you like. Make him the villain, make him the wide eyed, make him screw up, but please don’t make him flat. If he’s a villain, make him morally grey, have him have some gentle moments, show everyone his weak side, he can still do good and be so delightfully evil. If he’s wide eyed have him learn that the world isn’t this wonder, but don’t make him loose that innocence, make him learn from it. If he’s screw up, make sure he knows he’s a screw up, put him in a mental hole that he climbs out of every morning, maybe the crew sees him as a joke but dammit this mech is going to do his best!

In short I love Rodimus as a character and I would like to see people push past this idea of him being immature/brat and give him more depth.

They think it's going to be easy... they so later find out where they got their spark attack causing behavior from...

- optimus takes one look at them after waking up in this frame and yeets himself out of Bee’s hold.

- hot rod catches him but they quickly learn he does not want to be held away from their frame and will put himself in danger to change that and so they keep him in a sparkling wrap.

- the sparkling wrap keeps Optimus from shoving things like a blaster ( he ripped it from a mechs servo ), engex ( he yanked Ratchets cup away ), raw energon ( Hot rod was cooking, wheeljacks nails ( the bolt brain left it where Optimus could grab it ) & sparkling cleaners from his intake.

- optimus did not like being put down for recharge so he’d try smashing his helm against their chassis to prevent it. That just got him a pillow added to the wrap. He cried.

Optimus tried rolling into danger too. Hot rod got bit by a cyber wolf keeping his carrier from getting harmed and Bee got claws to the chassis for protecting his carrier from said cyber wolf when he snatched him away.

They apologize profusely to the mechs and femmes who helped take care of them but they weren’t bad as sparklings. They were bad as toddlers.

Optimus has a lot of apologizing to do

Hot Rod and Soundwave are on opposite sides of the war because of this they need to keep their relationship a secret. On Cybertron, seekers are seen as the most beautiful and are highly sought after. Most seekers are part of the Decepticons. Some of them want to get ahead and think sleeping with high command will do that for them.

They start flirting with Soundwave and trying to attract his attention and one time during a battle Hot Rod sees them flirting with Soundwave and becomes insecure.

I honestly think most of the seekers would be too afraid to approach Soundwave.

Thundercracker and Skywarp? Yes. Starscream? He’s with ol Megsy lol

I think Tc and Skywarp try just once with Soundwave and he terrifies them by giving them a certain look and revving his engine a little at them and they’re off flying away because no one on base purposely makes Soundwave mad. Megatron is, believe it or not, very lenient with his troops even with his terrible temper and ways. He does care about them after all. you don’t piss him off of course but you know you’ll live as long as its not trying to leave the cons.

But with Soundwave and Shockwave?

Better to chance Megatron. He’ll beat you if you push far enough yes. Guaranteed. But Shockwave and Soundwave?

You don’t chance it with them.

Shockwave for obvious experimental reasons.

Soundwave?

He is terrifying in his own right both mentally and physically and those cassettes? They’ll do anything for their cassette carrier.

If Megatron makes it a personal goal not to annoy Soundwave and Starscream is afraid of him and doesn’t involve him in his schemes.

Why would any bot be dumb enough to flirt with the communications officer?

Well, any bot but Hot rod who is secretly conjunxed to him. Dumb dumb still gets insecure thinking anyone other than him is brave enough to be with the officer.

Soundwave just gives him a look and shows him why no one else catches his optic or spark like Hot rod does.

May I offer you some Merformer Perceptor with pup Roddy?

Perceptor was once a show Mer that spent most of his young life in a small tank performing show after show for visitors. When he wasn't performing he swam bored around his small tank or simply slept in his nest for hours on end. However one event would change Percy's life, when the red Mer entered his first heat in months he was suddenly captured and placed into a slightly larger tank that had a door separating the other tank that held a slightly aggressive Mer on the other side. After few moments the door opens allowing Percy to greet the other Mer who was waiting on the other side despite not being keen on having an aggressive and pushy Mer as a mate Percy is left with little choice as the humans who are watching the encounter refuse to return to his own tank until he has allowed the other Mer to mate with him.

With deep bites and claw marks littering his body Percy is finally returned to his tank and immediately returns to his nest to tend to his own wounds while feeling sorry for himself. Some time later Perceptor is gently grooming his swollen belly after being cooped up in his tank all day. He is beginning to worry on how he is going to raise his pup in such a dull tank or if the humans will take them away the moment they old enough to fend for themselves, thankfully Percy doesn't have to worry as later that night Mer rescuers and rehab centre raids the place and ends up taking the Mers with them.

After settling down in his new larger and decorated tank Percy quickly constructs a new nest sensing that his pup will arrive any day now. Later that night the veterinary team watches from afar while on stand by while Percy carefully welcomes his little pup. Letting out a cooing purr Percy carefully cleans his red and gold pup who fusses and wiggles in his grasp while gentling gnawing his tiny teeth on his Carrier's arm. With a proud smile the red Mer then carefully feeds a meat chunk of fish to Hot Rod before wrapping his tail carefully around him before drifting off to sleep. It will be a while until both Perceptor and Hot Rod are strong enough to return to the wild but for know they can enjoy the comfort and safety in their little nest.

In honor of Soundrod week. Hot Rod and Soundwave sharing custody of cassetticons.

Them sharing custody of the cassettes is something that happens the moment Hot rod is accidentally sparked long before the war starts.

I’m putting a spin on it, hopefully you like it.

The original cassette they share custody with is Ravage.

Soundwave found her originally and he’s been taking care of her ever since. Ravage is still a tiny kitten when Hot rod is introduced to her. He finds the cyber kitten mewling and hungry and can’t help but give in to instinct. He opens his chassis in a more private space and fuels her.

He sniffs her to see of she has a creator, he’s not familiar with Soundwave’s scent but he does stand and decide to follow it.

But Soundwave is quicker and their first meeting is Soundwave putting his claws on Hot rod’s neck cables in a sires rage as he hunted down the scent of his sparkling.

Of course the scent of sparkling fuel snaps him out of it before he can hurt Hot rod and he’s mech enough to apologize.

Hot rod understands he does, but he definitely doesn’t want claws on his neck cables again.

They think its going to be a one time thing but its clear thats not possible when Ravage cries wanting Hot rod.

Its then they decide to share custody of Ravage and for quite some time Hot rod lives with Soundwave and vice versa.

This leads to them getting to know each other and accept faults and flaws while also forming an attraction neither wants to vocally admit.

It’s about a thousand years of watching the two tangle in odd romantic actions that Ravage suffers before they interface when she’s away with Megatronous and his partner, giving the two time alone.

From this interfacing comes a sparkling.

Ravage hopes this will finally get them to conjunx but it doesn’t…she has no idea how her creators can be so smart yet such bolt processors at the same time.

But she watches as her adoptive carrier gets sparked through the years up until the war hits and Nyon falls and she watches as herself and siblings go between decepticon and autobot bases so they can be taken care of by both creators who oddly managed to keep them, their secrets and each other safe….

All while never vocally saying or admitting to loving each other…

Ravage goes on a rampage when she finds out the two accidentally conjunxed the night her first sibling was conceived and it wasn’t until their latest sparkling and her youngest sibling Ratbat emerged did she learn of this.

They owe her big time.

Spicy Megarod idea. Exotic Dancer Roddy

Hot Rod works at a neutral dance club mostly for fun but also to get some extra credits. He is dressed in pretty jewellery and his paint job is always fresh as it glitters in the lights dazzling guests. He mostly just dances but he dose like to flirt with a few handsome patrons he think are cute.

One night Roddy is just dancing and dazzling guests with his beauty until something catches his optic, he spots Megatron sitting across the room watching him with a smirk. He knows it foolish, risky and will likely end up spark-break but after his dance he slowly struts his way to Meg's table and begins to flirt with the tank.

From there Megatron is a regular patron and he often brings Hot Rod his favourite crystal flowers while also secretly stealing a kiss in dark corners of the club or backstage. ;)

Hot rod would work in a dance club and i think even during the war he and Megs would be getting it in off stage in a private small home where Megs has his sexy dancer tie him up and show him how tank dancing looks on a humongous spike

Hot Rod is taking care of his newly emerged sparkling who is very clingy. He is exhausted and feels like a mess because he can't take a shower.

He's also very sore and has to sit a lot and take breaks which can be frustrating. One day he breaks down crying because he's so tired and his sparkling constantly needs him and he feels like a horrible carrier.

Soundwave comforts his mate and takes their sparkling reassuring him that everything is fine. He tucks him into bed and Hot Rod sleeps for a few hours. When he wakes up Soundwave helps wash him.

Oh my gosh

I can see this

But something i thought of immediately after him crying and breaking down, after Soundwave gets him to bed and takes their sparkling.

Is Hot rod waking up to their sparkling asleep in a soft cot, low lit candles that smell so good, surrounded by flower petals in a tub of very hot oil and solvent that makes his frame feel like his again, with Soundwave sitting behind him. Arms wrapped around Hot rod with the carrier sitting between his legs, using his servos to rub along his soft cushioned plating and protoform from carriage frame gain.

He’s massaging Hot rod gently with his face mask and visor off.

Chittering in his audio, exposed fangs from his heavily scarred face plate brushing against Hot rod’s cheek with all four purple optics softly gazing between his love and their sparkling.

Oh my gosh i just know Soundwave takes good care of him and Roddy returns the favor later on.
