☀️ You were on the deck organizing the supplies standing up, focused on your work and ignoring everything around you, you hummed a song in Spanish while you accompanied it by moving your legs and hips, dancing to the rhythm. Luffy was walking around the ship relaxed when he saw you from afar moving gracefully and singing. Your voice was already beautiful but singing in another language made it ✨special✨. It had a I don't know what made Luffy smile and his face light up.

The captain rested his elbows on a barrel while he placed his chin in his hands and looked at you, sighing like someone looking at a cute puppy. You were an angel singing, he thought.

☀️ It's the first time you sang in Spanish, and he wondered why you hadn't done it before. The words slipped from your tongue and musically came out through your lips. Your accent and the words you used even though he didn't know their meaning attracted him.

☀️ When you finished singing happily Luffy sighed and loudly said "Wow.. that was fascinating, Bravo!" You turned around screaming, startled, and he laughed in amusement, completely forgetting discretion. He approached you and you breathed a sigh of relief, it was just Luffy. If it had been Zoro you would have died of shame and I probably wouldn't leave you alone after that.

☀️ The captain with the straw hat gently hit your arm with the back of his hand. "Why didn't you tell me that you knew how to speak Spanish?" You avoided looking at him and shrugged shyly. "I don't know, it's just not something I have to shout from the rooftops. It doesn't matter." Luffy raised his eyebrows in surprise. "What? It doesn't matter? If only I spoke as well as you, I would shout it all the time!" He laughed in amusement. "Of course I believe you would, Luffy." And when he wasn't he was shouting happily?

☀️ From that day on, Luffy promised to keep your secret and in exchange he asked (begged) you to teach him Spanish words. "Pleasepleasepleaseplease teach me anything, something easy please!!" He followed you around the ship like a lost dog, he even followed you to your room. You just sighed and rolled your eyes until one day you got fed up and agreed to teach him something. The captain's happiness and enthusiasm were indescribable.

☀️ In the weeks to come you became a kind of teacher for Luffy, arming yourself with patience you would sit next to him in your room or in his and with a piece of paper and a pencil you would write the words and then ask him to repeat them. Like a little child "Alright, naughty boy, what does it say here?" You held up the paper in front of him waiting for his response. Luffy narrowed his eyes and cocked his head like a dog, totally confused "Me-menzano?" You laughed loudly as you shook your head "No but almost, come on try it again, I know you can do it" he concentrated and you helped him a little starting with the first syllable, then his frowning face transformed into a face of excitement and happiness "I know it! Manzana!" You clapped your hands happily congratulating him.

☀️ Luffy's enthusiasm only increased with the days so you had to teach him more words, until they became longer sentences. You were proud of his progress "You impress me captain, you are already an expert in Spanish, felicidades" His smile became so wide that you could almost see his gums "Gracias!"

☀️ In fact he became so good at Spanish that sometimes he would slip out a few Spanish words in front of the crew. Of course he never said that you had taught him, every time the others asked him when he had learned to speak like that he simply answered that he had heard it from someone on the island. From your seat you could hear the conversation and you looked up from your book, rolling your eyes in amusement. "Bobo" you said to yourself with affection. You thought no one else had heard you but a blonde, blue-eyed cook did and he looked at you, raising an eyebrow and smiling.

🌊 That same afternoon you entered the kitchen as always trying to find out what Sanji was cooking. He had his back turned to you, apparently stirring something with a spatula. You sat at the bar, when he noticed your presence he turned around smiling, focused on beating. "Hello Sanji, what are you preparing?" You asked curiously. He smiled playfully. "Always so curious, my little lamb. I'm sorry but I won't tell you, you'll have to wait until I'm ready." You huffed in frustration. "Please Sanji!!" He melted when you called him by name, he pretended to think and said "Fine, but only if you tell me in Spanish." You stayed hard in place and opened your eyes wide "Did you hear me?" Then you blushed and he couldn't help but laugh.

🌊 Now Sanji followed you everywhere hoping to hear you say something in your native language again, and if not he would tease you with his usual flirtation "Come on gorgeous, say something for me" "You look prettier talking like that" etc.

🌊 Even the very cheeky one will try to get you to teach him some words or phrases in Spanish (like luffy) so he can flirt with you in another language. "How do you say beautiful in Spanish?" 🌊 And all to find out that he already knew how to speak Spanish, of course, that's why he had that particular accent. When you found out you looked at him offended "So you did all this just to be closer to me?" He laughs, caught red-handed. “Maybe, corazón” That also explained why he had learned so quickly. Like yours, he had that secret well kept. And no one on the crew knew this, just the two of you.

🌊 Sometimes when they were alone Sanji would whisper nice words to you and compare you to flowers or objects "Mi estrella, tulipan, mi sol" etc. And you didn't miss the opportunity and you also replied, "Chico bonito, mi amor, rubio lindo" etc

🌊 Sometimes when someone else on the island spoke Spanish and the crew was together, you two pretended not to understand a word just to see the confused faces of the other Straw Hat members, and sometimes you two couldn't stop laughing. which only made others more confused.

💪 When Zoro heard you speak Spanish for the first time he was practicing with his swords and you were trying to do ship maintenance. You had offered to help Ussop while he went to rest, but honestly you weren't good at that job at all so when you almost hurt yourself with a nail you let out a strong insult.

💪 Obviously he didn't know what it meant but he sensed that it was something you shouldn't repeat too much. He pretended not to have noticed anything and continued practicing while you continued mumbling insults in a low voice. Although on the outside Zoro is very quiet, he knew how to hide it very well since inside his mind he kept repeating that event and treasuring it because he thought it was fun.

💪 He nor you commented on anything that happened during dinner. You didn't know that he knew your little secret but he wasn't going to reveal anything…for now.

💪 At night when you went to your room he didn't want to waste time and knocked on your door, when you allowed him to enter he just leaned against the door frame. "Now what do you want Zoro?" You asked tiredly "I heard you today…when you were fixing the boat" You frowned in confusion until you saw him raise an eyebrow and smile a little "Please don't tell anyone" You pleaded "Ok but only if you do me a favor. .."

💪 And so one favor followed another and another, etc. Every time he made a mistake you covered him, took care of his swords and practiced with him, washed his clothes, etc. Maybe he was simply abusing his "power" over you since he knew your secret. 🔧 Ussop was telling you one of his many fantastic stories and you looked at him in amazement with your mouth open in a smile almost on the verge of laughter. Suddenly he said something so crazy that you couldn't help it and exclaimed "No puede ser!"

🔧 He looked at you between confused and amazed until he saw your cheeks blush and burst out laughing. "Ussop is not funny" You said even more embarrassed "I'm sorry, your face is red as a tomato" He said without being able to stop laughing "Why you didn't tell me you spoke another language?" "Because I didn't want to and that's it"

🔧 Ussop didn't understand why you didn't talk about it, but he didn't want to see you angry either, so he tried to make you laugh all the time by telling you jokes so that you would forget about it.

🔧 Although he was still interested in knowing Spanish just like you to be able to communicate with you, like a secret friend code. He was a little embarrassed at first but then joined you in laughing.

🔧 "Was I that bad?" He asked "I'm sorry but you just told me if my grandmother was missing a tooth." You laughed until tears came to your eyes. He covered his face, somewhat embarrassed but still laughing. "I ruined everything, didn't I?" You shook your head, smiling tenderly. "No, not at all. In fact, it's adorable that you're trying to learn Spanish just for me."

🔧 From that day on you and Ussop met secretly to teach him Spanish. And with what he had learned (even if it was little) he soon mastered the language and progressed. Until they were able to have longer conversations just like he wanted.

NAMI

🍑 Nami was taking care of her tangerine trees, and since you loved to see her water her trees and clean the leaves, you stayed apart admiring her from afar and respecting her space. 🍑 And as time went by, incredibly, somehow she "learned" the language, or at least understood you better. From listening to you speak so much or seeing your body language, now you could speak in Spanish and she in English and Nami would still understand you.

🍑 She memorized the words you said and repeated them to herself and from the context she already knew what it meant and what or when it was used. So you could say that this intelligent girl became bilingual on her own. Sometimes he even made fun of the other boys by saying some word whose meaning they had no idea.

🍑 His advance had surprised you and made you smile. You still offered to teach her some other useful phrases or words, only if she wanted. Nami accepted and every day from the deck while they both looked at the sea you taught her more complex words or longer phrases, and she quickly learned them and put them to use.

Where the hell was he?

You opened your eyes abruptly, searching the ship for your raven haired Captain. Nothing. Luffy was nowhere to be seen. He was probably in the kitchen you thought. Just as you were about to close your eyes again you felt something grab you. Your instinct was to fight but when you saw his familiar smile the fear disappeared. Luffy had wrapped his arms around you and dragged you over to where he was sitting. He'd dragged you across the ship like you weighed nothing. Even after knowing him for a while his abilities still surprised you. 

"Hi Luffy.”
