My Husband

Summary: when you accidently called Oscar your husband, you didn't think it would affect him that much

MASTERLIST - F1

The quaint little bakery was a warm embrace of aromatic comfort, the scent of fresh bread and sugar-coated pastries dancing in the air as the bell above the door chimed, announcing the presence of a customer.
You stepped inside, the chilly autumn breeze kissing your cheeks before you shut the door. Oscar, your devoted boyfriend, followed closely, his eyes never leaving yours, as if the words you had just spoken had branded themselves into his soul.
You approached the counter, where Mrs. Petunia, the plump, grandmotherly figure who had known you since childhood, was carefully arranging a tray of her famous Tim Tams.
She looked up and beamed at you, her kind eyes twinkling with recognition. "Ah, my dear, what can I get for you today?"
Without missing a beat, you replied, "Oh, Mrs. Petunia, me and my husband love Tim Tams. Could we have a dozen, please?"
The words slipped out of your mouth as easily as honey off a spoon, and yet, they seemed to hang in the air, thick and potent, charged with an unspoken electricity.
Oscar's eyes grew wide, and a blush bloomed on his cheeks that would have put a summer sunset to shame. His heart skipped a beat, and his throat tightened with a mix of shock and excitement.
You hadn't meant to say it, but there it was, hanging between the two of you like a ripe fruit, begging to be plucked and tasted.
Mrs. Petunia looked from you to Oscar and back again, her gaze lingering on his flustered expression before she winked mischievously.
"Of course, dear," she said, her voice a gentle purr. "Congratulations to you both. I'll have your Tim Tams ready in a jiffy."
The silence that followed was a symphony of unspoken desires and unanswered questions. The air grew thick with tension as Oscar's hand found yours, his grip firm yet trembling.
The warmth of his skin against yours sent a thrill down your spine, and you couldn't help but feel the sudden urgency of his touch.
As the baker's hands moved deftly behind the counter, wrapping your sweet treats in a paper bag with a flourish, Oscar leaned in, his breath a whisper of heat against your ear.
"Did you mean it?" he asked, his voice a mix of hope and apprehension. "Did you really mean to call me your husband?"
You turned to face him, the warmth from his body seeping into yours, and took a moment to study his features. The way his eyes searched yours for an answer, the way his Adam's apple bobbed with a hard swallow, it was all so⊠intoxicating.
You bit your bottom lip, feeling the heat of his gaze on your skin, and let the moment linger before finally speaking.
"It⊠it just slipped out," you murmured, trying to downplay the significance of your words. But even as you said them, you felt a thrill in your chest, a spark of something new and deliciously tempting.
Oscar's grip on your hand tightened, his thumb tracing lazy circles on your palm. "But do you?" he pressed, his voice low and earnest. "Do you⊠see me as your husband?" His eyes searched yours, a silent plea for honesty that you found impossible to resist.
Before you could answer, Mrs. Petunia shuffled back to the counter with your order, her knowing smile as sweet as the sugary confection she placed in the bag.
"Here you go, lovebirds," she said, her eyes twinkling. "And just for the newlyweds," she added with a wink, "a little something extra." She slipped a small, heart-shaped cookie into the bag, and you felt Oscar's pulse quicken against your fingertips.
The weight of the moment pressed down on you, thick and heavy as the scent of freshly baked bread. His question hung in the air, a silent echo of the words you hadn't meant to say. Yet, as you looked into his eyes, you realized that you didn't want to take them back.
The thought of him as your husband, a partner in every sense of the word, filled you with a warmth that spread from your core to your fingertips.
"Thank you, Mrs. Petunia," you said, your voice a bit shaky as you took the bag of Tim Tams from her outstretched hand. The touch of the paper bag against your skin was a sudden reminder of the real world, and you forced a smile as you slid the question to the back of your mind.
The idea of a future with Oscar was both thrilling and terrifying, and you weren't quite ready to tackle it in the middle of a bustling bakery.
You turned to leave, eager to escape the intensity of Oscar's gaze, but he held fast to your hand, refusing to let you pull away. "We need to talk," he whispered, his eyes never leaving yours. "But not here."
With a nod of understanding, you allowed him to lead you out the door and into the cool, crisp air. The wind played with your hair as you walked in silence, the crackle of leaves underfoot a stark contrast to the chaotic symphony of emotions in your chest.
The thought of the impromptu family gathering at the restaurant was a welcome one; it meant you had more time to figure out what you truly felt about the prospect of marriage.
When you arrived at the cozy Italian restaurant, the warmth from within enveloped you like a comforting blanket. The smell of garlic and tomato sauce mingled with the laughter of those already gathered, and the sight of your friends and family was a much-needed distraction.
You slipped into the role of the happy couple with Oscar by your side, his hand resting gently on the small of your back as you greeted everyone with pecks on the cheek and warm hugs.
Throughout dinner, the question remained unspoken, a silent third wheel to your conversations. You felt Oscar's eyes on you, the question lingering in the air like the scent of fresh bread from the bakery.
Yet, with every shared laugh and knowing glance, the idea grew more and more appealing. The way your family and friends interacted with the two of you, as if you were already a married couple, filled you with a sense of belonging and love that was undeniable.
As the evening grew late and the last of your relatives said their goodbyes, the tension between you and Oscar grew palpable. The warmth from his hand on your lower back had long ago seeped through your clothes, leaving a trail of goosebumps in its wake.
With each farewell, the reality of what you had said in the bakery grew heavier, a delicious weight that was both terrifying and exhilarating.
Finally, it was just the two of you, the night air a crisp reminder of the world outside your bubble of uncertainty. The walk to his car was a silent dance of anticipation, your hearts beating in time with every step you took closer to the truth.
The cool metal of the car door handle was a stark contrast to the heat of your skin as you climbed inside, the leather seats a promise of the comfort and security you had found in each other's arms so many times before.
Oscar started the engine, and the low purr filled the car, a gentle hum that seemed to vibrate through your very core. As he pulled away from the curb, the headlights painted a yellow path on the dark road ahead, leading you to the house you shared, the place where so many of your memories had been made.
You watched the streetlights flicker past, their light casting shadows across Oscar's features that highlighted the strong line of his jaw and the intensity in his gaze as he focused on the road.
The journey to the house was a blur of unspoken confessions and unanswered questions, the vibrations of the car a rhythmic serenade that seemed to underscore the urgency of the moment.
His hand found yours again, fingers intertwining as if to hold onto the very essence of your being. The touch sent waves of sensation through your body, a silent acknowledgment of the unspoken bond that had grown stronger with every shared look and whispered promise.
When you finally pulled into the driveway, the house was bathed in a soft glow, welcoming you home with open arms.
The door clicked shut behind you, the sound echoing through the stillness like a gunshot, shattering the last vestiges of your ability to ignore the conversation that needed to be had.
But Oscar didn't give you the chance to retreat into the safety of mundane small talk or the comfort of the couch. He dropped his bags with a thud that reverberated through the floorboards, and in the blink of an eye, he was on you.
His arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you back against his chest, his body a wall of heat and need that made your knees wobble.
His mouth found the sensitive spot just below your ear, his breath hot and demanding as he whispered, "Tell me the truth. Did you mean it?"
You gasped as his teeth grazed your earlobe, the sensation sending a shiver down your spine. Your heart was a wild animal, caged and desperate to break free, hammering against your ribs in a frantic rhythm.
Your breathing grew shallow, every intake of breath a silent admission of the desire that had been simmering just below the surface all evening.
He turned you to face him, his hands sliding up to cradle your cheeks. His thumbs brushed over your cheekbones, and you leaned into his touch, your eyes fluttering closed as you felt the warmth of his palms against your skin.
"Look at me," he demanded softly, and you obeyed, opening your eyes to find his gaze searing into yours. "Do you see me as your husband?"
The word hung in the air, a declaration of love and commitment that made your heart ache. You searched his eyes, the depths of his soul laid bare for you to see, and you knew that you didn't need to say the words aloud.
Your body was already speaking for you, your pulse racing, your breath catching in your throat.
With a groan, Oscar leaned in, capturing your lips in a kiss that was both fierce and tender. His tongue slipped into your mouth, tasting and exploring as if he hadn't kissed you a thousand times before.
Your arms wound around his neck, pulling him closer, your body arching towards his as if drawn by a magnetic force. His hands slid down to the small of your back, pressing you against him, the evidence of his arousal a stark reminder of the passion that burned between you.
The kiss grew deeper, more urgent, as the tension that had been building all evening finally snapped. Your hands roamed his body, tracing the contours of his muscles beneath his shirt, feeling the rapid beat of his heart against your palm.
His own hands found their way to the hem of your dress, inching it upward until he could feel the warmth of your skin, the softness of your thighs.
He broke the kiss, his forehead resting against yours as you both panted, trying to catch your breath. "I need to hear you say it," he whispered, his voice hoarse with emotion. "Do you see a future with me?"
You nodded, the words caught in your throat, the weight of the moment too much to bear. "Yes," you finally managed to croak out, the word a declaration, a promise, a surrender all rolled into one.
And with that, Oscar's control snapped. He swept you off your feet, carrying you with ease up the stairs and into the bedroom that had been the stage for so many of your passionate encounters.
The room was a blur as he laid you on the bed, his mouth leaving a trail of kisses down your neck, his hands working to free you from the confines of your dress.
As the fabric slid away, revealing the soft curves of your body, he whispered, "I can't wait to be your husband," the words a fervent promise that seemed to resonate within your very soul.
His eyes devoured every inch of your exposed skin, the hunger in them making you feel like the most desired woman in the world.
You reached up to trace his jawline, feeling the stubble that had grown over the course of the day. Your touch was tender, a silent acknowledgment of the gravity of what was happening between you.
"Oscar," you breathed, his name a prayer on your lips.
He hovered over you, his eyes searching yours as if looking for the tiniest semblance of doubt. Finding none, he claimed your mouth again, his kiss a declaration of his love and intentions.
Oscar's hands trailed down your body, his fingertips leaving a trail of fire in their wake. He reached the hem of your dress, his touch gentle yet insistent as he began to peel it off.
The fabric whispered against your skin, the coolness of the room a stark contrast to the heat of his gaze.
As you lay before him, bare and exposed, he leaned in and murmured into your ear, his breath a hot caress that sent shivers down your spine.
"I won't apologize for marking you up," he said, the words a dark promise that sent a thrill of excitement coursing through your veins. "Everyone should know you're going to be married to me."
His teeth grazed the sensitive lobe, eliciting a gasp that was swallowed by the fabric of the pillow beneath your head. . . .

sleeping separately after an argument pt. 1
SFW
characters: luffy, zoro, usopp, and sanji x fem! reader summary: how the strawhat boys would react to you sleeping alone after an argument CW: mainly fluff, slight angst others: not proofread, lowercase intended, and pictures found on pinterest

âââââ
Monkey D. Luffy
luffy doesn't handle conflict well, especially not one with someone he cares deeply about. after the argument you guys had earlier, he would never suspected that you would sleep else where for the night.
at first, he would brush it off, thinking you just needed some space and that you would return to your shared room soon. but, as the night wore on, he'd find himself restless. constantly tossing and turning unable to lay as comfortably as before now that he was alone. luffy would eventually get up and wander over to your old room.
knowing him heâd poke your face (gently of course) while whispering, "hey, are you still mad at me?" his big eyes would reflect genuine concern and confusion. but because you were asleep you couldnât respond, so he would get into your bed and curl up next to you, determined to be close even if you were still upset. youâd wake up the next day to a goofy grin and a sincere apology, as he was eager to make things right.
Roronoa Zoro
arguments with zoro are often intense but short-lived. so when you decide to sleep separately after a fight, zoro (like luffy) would be taken aback. however he, unlike luffy, would initially be too proud to go after you. so instead heâd brood silently, replaying the argument in his head while sharpening his swords.
you were the dramatic one. right?
as the night deepened, his stoic façade would crack, causing the gnawing sense of regret to seep in. heâd eventually get up, quietly making his way to your old room.
âbabe?â his voice was uncharacteristically soft cautiously enters the room. after seeing your sleeping figure his demeanor immediately softens.
without a word, he'd lie down on the floor next to your bed, his presence a silent apology. he would wake up before you like usual but after breakfast he would pull you aside giving you a gruff but sincere apology, his actions speaking louder than his words.
God Ussop
usopp is sensitive and prone to overthinking. after any argument, he'd probably be filled with anxiety and self-doubt. which would worsen after you decide to sleep separately. he'd pace around, muttering to himself and crafting elaborate scenarios in his head of what this could mean.
is this it?
do you not love him anymore?
were you going to break up with him?
eventually, he'd muster the courage to approach you, armed with a heartfelt speech. ready to kneel beside you and pour his heart out with the promise to do better. but after walking to your old room and seeing you sleep so soundly his resolve would soften. not wanting to wake you he would leave telling himself that heâd apologize in the morning.
instead of going to bed though he would go to his factory deciding to make you a small gift to show his sincerity. he would place that along with a short an apology letter by your door. hoping to give you a better apology in the morning.
Vinsmoke Sanji
sanji would be devastated if you chose to sleep separately after an argument. unlike usopp, he wouldnât overthink it. he knows you love him just needed some space. despite thinking that, he would never let you go to sleep upset especially not at him.
so he'd spend the majority of the night in the kitchen, preparing ingredients for tomorrow and making you a midnight snack.
with a tray of food on hand heâd softly knocks on the door of your old bedroom, his voice both gentle and cautious. âmy love? i brought food. can i come in so we can talk?â
your lights were on so he knew you were up, after waiting for a minute or so he would let out a relieved sigh as you opened the door and making room for him to enter.
you guys would spend the rest of the night talking about your argument except this time with a much clearer head. once he knew that you both were on the same page he would bring you back to your share room to sleep.

Misplaced Rings (Luffy, Sanji, Zoro)

_____ Pairings: Luffy x Reader; Sanji x Reader; Zoro x Reader Summary: They misplace their wedding ring/band and are sent into a panic. Warnings: Some Angst, Fluff, Female Reader [One Piece Masterlist] _____
- Luffy -
Everyone knows that Luffy's most prized possession is his straw hat. It is always on his head or within his reach wherever he may go, and if it was not, he would be sent into an untamable panic that almost always ended with tears if the hat was not found within the day. However, unbeknownst to most, there is now a second possession he cherishes just as much: his wedding band.
The simple strip of gold around his ring finger adorned with crushed rubies was a fitting wedding band you had picked out just for him. And though Sanji often berates his Captain for wearing such precious jewellery during battles, his concern was for naught; you had sought Franky's help, ensuring the band could survive Luffy's battles and keep up with his elasticity.
Thanks to those facts, the ring remained on Luffy's finger indefinitely, just like the iconic straw hat on his head. It reminded him of his wedding with you upon his ship; the banquet far larger than any he had thrown before, the lively music and laughter, the utter joy. But more importantly, it reminded him of you and your pledge to stay by his side as he became the pirate king; it was an oath you undertook with pride every day of your life.
So, imagine his utter despair when he realises it has gone missing.
You were sitting at the dining room table with Nami and Robin, the three of you chatting and looking over magazines away from the harsh summer sun when you heard a familiar shout. You startle along with the two women you sit beside, meeting glances with utter confusion.
"What was that-"
You barely get to finish your sentence when the door to the kitchen slams open, revealing a wide-eyed Luffy who looks as though he is about to be sick. Your brows furrow together, Sanji looking over from his kitchen and about to give his Captain a piece of his mind, but you are concerned seeing your husband look as though on the brink of rare dread.
"Lu, what's wrong?"
You stand from your chair and run up to him but he already has comical tears almost pouring from his eyes. He is on his knees and instantly grabs your hands, and shakes them in his despair.
"[y/n] it's gone!!!"
You are still lost in your confusion as you look at him, his straw hat still attached to his head. You remember his outbursts in the past when he had thought he lost his hat for good, so you look down at him confounded at why he is having a similar breakdown with it still on his person.
"But Luffy, you still have your straw hat. It's on your head."
Luffy shakes his head like a downtrodden puppy as he looks up to you with tears falling from his eyes.
"No, my wedding band, it's gone!!"
Your eyes widen for just a moment as you look at the hands that still hold yours, noticing for the first time that there remains a tan line where Luffy's wedding band used to be. You feel your heart drop lightly at the predicament, and at that point, your friends had also gathered around in the fuss their Captain seemed to cause. Sanji seemed shocked the most whilst Robin and Nami frowns in concern behind you.
"What?! You lost the wedding ring [y/n]-san especially bought for you?!"
Sanji starts berating Luffy but you can hardly be mad at him when he looks so genuinely upset and in despair on the ground before you. You instantly kneel down to his level, and caress his raven hair gently trying to soothe the turmoil in his eyes. "W-wedding band-" He murmurs, and you are touched by how much he seems to hold the simple piece of jewellery so dear, to the point where he reacts to losing it just as he does his straw hat. You smile gently, and pat the straw hat that remains atop his head.
"It's okay Lu. I'm sure we'll find it."
"W-what if we don't?!"
You sigh as he looks at you imploringly, but you take his hands and help him to his feet.
"We'll all look for it, surely we'll find it then."
You turn to the cook who stands beside you, still glaring at his Captain as though he had committed the worst crime in the world.
"Right, Sanji? You'll help us too right?"
Sanji instantly perks up at the mention of his name past your lips and turns into a puddle of nods and affirmations.
"Of course, [y/n]-swan-"
You sigh at his never changing demeanour but turn to your husband who seems to have collected himself and nods in grim agreement. You smile as you take Luffy's hand, ready to search every nook and cranny of the ship. Nami, Robin and Sanji also help, with Chopper joining in when he bumps into you all searching the ship for a glimpse of gold and red. You force Luffy to retrace his steps entering the rooms he went to the past day for the glimmer of jewellery, but soon hours pass with no sign of his beloved ring.
"W-wedding band-"
You had all returned to the kitchen, Luffy now with his head on the table and tears pouring down it like a river of defeat. Chopper tries to cheer up his Captain but it is for naught, and you pat his shoulder in comfort whilst the others look on sympathetically.
In his mind, Luffy cannot believe that he has lost the one piece of jewellery he thought he would cherish until the day he died. Gold was often a mere bonus to him as a Pirate amongst the sea; an afterthought often intertwined in his adventures on the path to becoming Pirate King. But the gold around his finger was another story.
"I'm sorry Lu, I'll ask Franky if he can make you another one?"
But Luffy seems inconsolable as he is adamant the one he received on his wedding day, was the only one he wanted. However, before you can even input another word, the door smacks open, revealing the very man you had just spoken about. What's more, in his hand, the shine of gold and red reflected from the kitchen lights; Luffy's wedding band.
"Here you go Luffy! Sorry, it took a while but I promise I added some SUUUPER upgrades to keep up with your SUUUPER gears."
For a moment, there lasts a long and lingering silence in the wake of Franky's words, when suddenly, Luffy sits up like he was told the day's weather.
"That's right, I did give it to Franky yesterday."
Everyone falls off their chairs in utter bewilderment at Luffy's words; the day spent searching that could've been solved by one trip to Franky who had been working away all day, or by lack of Luffy's dense memory. Sanji instantly stands back up, kicking the underside of his Captain's head in utter rage and causing his head to hit the table.
"Idiot! We searched the whole day for that damned ring!"
But Luffy seems unfazed, and you have to let out a small laugh as he collects the ring from Franky and puts it back in its rightful place. You don't know if your laughter comes from relief or discomposure at the stupidity of the scenario you were in, but Robin joins you, your other crewmates more agitated. When Luffy looks up to you, however, with his wide and satisfied grin, ring shown proudly on his ring finger you can't help but get up and kiss his cheek lightly.
"I found it!"
He was an idiot, but he was your idiot.
- Sanji -
Sanji adores you, he is utterly in love with you, and if anyone asks what the happiest day of his life is, they don't even need to wait a second before he tells them about his wedding day. The gorgeous atmosphere, the pleasant music, the wedding cake he pondered and spent hours making just right, you adorned in your beautiful white dress. He could speak hours on his love if you let him, and he is not afraid to shout it out for everyone else to know and hear: you were his and he was yours.
If there was anything that symbolised the depths of your love and his, it would be the wedding ring around your finger and the wedding band around his. Yours was gorgeous but simple, a beautiful diamond reflecting the strength of the love you both shared. His was personal and beautiful, a gold band etched with sapphires, engraved with the date of the wedding until the end of time.
He adored it, he adored the weight of it on his finger, a reaffirmation of the oath you both pledged. He adored showing it off to people, just as he adored seeing you pointing to your ring when asked if you were taken. He would only remove it when absolutely necessary, such as when he prepared meals for his crew, but even then it stayed close to him where he could never misplace it. He told you he would look after it forever, but amongst Sanji's abundance of thoughts, there was a moment where the location of his prized ring slipped his mind.
Sanji has been absent all day, hastily making meals, moving swiftly from your side, and not even a murmur of hello as he leaves every room you enter. You are confused and slightly hurt, but most of all you are concerned.
Have you done something?
Was he feeling okay?
Why was he avoiding you?
When you asked your crewmates about his behaviour, however, they said similar things. How his answers had been short, unable to request meals due to his haste to enter the next room, even Nami and Robin claimed he had seemed more distracted. So you frown at the entrance of the kitchen; you had just seen him enter and knew you could try and talk to him now. You only hoped he would share in his troubles.
As the door to the kitchen creeps open, Sanji freezes at the sound of your footsteps and looks up at you standing before him. When your eyes meet you catch guilt and trepidation in the depths of his, and you are instantly more worried than before.
"Sanji, what's wrong? You're not being yourself."
Your husband grits his teeth in regret, and you catch a slither of tears amongst his lower lash line, causing you to reach up and caress his face in concern. But in his mind, Sanji feels as though he does not deserve your touch or your care. He had lost his wedding band and could not for the life of him remember where he put it. He felt as though he had been searching the whole day, but as the hours passed, he felt his hopes withering along with the sun.
His most prized possession, a symbol of your love and a remnant of the best day of his life, was lost due to his carelessness.
His eyebrows furrow together as he reaches out and holds your hand that lingers on his face, his words low and softly spoken.
"I lost my wedding band. I- I'm so sorry love."
Your eyes widen slightly in surprise, and Sanji readies himself for the disappointment and your swift anger, rejection, your swift dismissal of him from in front of you. But instead, you collect yourself before continuing to bear the concern in your gaze mixed with what looked like understanding; finally knowing why he was acting this way.
"It'll be okay Sanji, no need to work yourself up. We'll look for it together, I'm sure we'll find it."
Sanji's eyes spark open in his own surprise at your kind words and conduct. God, he didn't deserve you. Guilt still travels freely within him, especially as he feels the coolness of your own wedding ring against his cheek; you had looked after your ring with so much care.
"I'm sorry love."
You smile but you release the touch on his face in favour of grasping his hand in comfort.
"It's okay, now come on, let's retrace your steps shall we?"
The next few hours are spent all around the Sunny, every room Sanji had been in before he remembered losing the ring was searched from the roof to the floor. You asked your crewmates if they had seen the mix of gold and blue you both are so adamant to find, had looked in every small crevice that may contain the precious jewellery. And as the sun started to dim, you were now looking in your shared chambers one last time.
Your hair was ruffled like his, clothes wrinkled under the time spent trying to find the ring, but to Sanji, you were still the beautiful, thoughtful and loving wife he married. You had spent all day trying to find something due to his own mistake, and he was never more regretful for losing the wedding band, nor more grateful for having you as his wife than he was now. Moments pass in silence, but finally, you let out a delighted gasp.
"Sanji!!"
Your husband instantly perks up from the other side of the room and in your hands is the wedding band, finally found. Your smile is wide, as you quickly run over to him, taking his hand and sliding it on his ring finger where it lay as perfect as it did all that time ago at your wedding. Sanji meets your gaze with such gratitude he cannot describe and impatiently presses his lips to yours. You smile as you return his fervour and pull away.
"Thank you, my love."
You let out light laughter as you roll your eyes.
"Of course, I am your wife you know? You can come to me about these things."
Sanji's heart warms even more than he thought possible as he tucks away a loose strand of hair from your face, admiring your features.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
Sanji makes you your favourite dinner and dessert as a thank you for your help and your love. You never see him without the ring on his person, again.
- Zoro -
Among the straw hats, Zoro seemed the least likely to be intertwined with thoughts of love and rings and weddings, well at least that's what the Strawhat crew initially thought. But as time passed, he fell for you, and what would you know, suddenly he is asking Robin and Nami about weddings and dresses and ceremonies; how it works, what would you like, how soon could he pledge his love and you yours? In utter reluctance and on rare occasions he would even approach the 'idiot cook' for advice; something he would often regret afterwards.
But suddenly, the two of you were married and had rings on your fingers and he was your husband and you were his wife. The ring he got you was surprisingly thoughtful, and you knew the girls had something to do with it as it looked so much like how you wished it to be when you talked to them. His was simple. A gold band, but on the underside there etched your name. He very rarely took it off, and it became a part of him just like the earrings he wore or the three swords always at his hip; secretly finding strength in the piece of your love always present.
Zoro is a man, adamant about loyalty, and it is one of the things he adored most about you. The rings symbolised that for him; that an oath had been pledged and the two of you belonged to the other. It was something you both took pride in every day, and he found satisfaction watching the crestfallen faces of men when they spotted your wedding ring, just as you did when you saw women leave him be when they spotted his wedding band. He took care of it and treasured it, more than he would allow you to know, so he is honestly shocked when one day, he finds it missing.
Zoro feels cold sweat rising on his skin, and he honestly can't remember a time he felt more stressed. He is looking down at his hands again and again, as though he can't believe the absence of jewellery he always had on his finger.
He looks frantically around your shared chambers, looking in drawers of bedside tables, under the bed, and every nook where gold might enter his vision. He spent many moments, searching in utter silence, but he finds no semblance of a ring anywhere.
The door suddenly creaks and Zoro stands upright, hair and clothes slightly ruffled, swords leant against the wall in his haste to find the missing ring. You enter your room, looking up in surprise at the rare presence of your husband in the middle of the day, but it was lucky for you as you had been searching for him.
"Zoro," you smile, before your eyebrows pull together in confusion. "Are you okay? I thought you're usually in the crow's nest about this time?"
Your husband freezes, static under the weight of your searching eyes and scouring for an excuse. You step closer, and instantly his hands go behind his back, causing you to stare at him in bewilderment at his strange behaviour. You eye his discomposure, his hidden hands and his guilty expression with suspicion.
"Zoro what are you hiding?"
"N-nothing woman just got up from a nap. I'll be in the crow's nest-"
He doesn't let you continue your words and is out the door in a swift movement. You frown but shrug looking down into your hands. Ussop had found Zoro's wedding band in the bathroom, no doubt from the shower you had somehow forced him into this morning. You had simply wanted to give it back but decided to wait until a better time when he wasn't in such a hurry to get to his training. As you are about to let the matter go, however, you spot three familiar swords on the wall of your room where Zoro left them.
You frown at the sight, just what was your husband up to?
Meanwhile, Zoro is moving at speed throughout the Sunny, every room he barges in, searching in what he hopes is discretion before running off in frustration again. Many times he left his crewmembers in utter surprise at his uncharacteristic demeanour, usually he was training or napping, not found running around deck in discomposure.
You had bumped into a few of your friends who shared the same concern you had earlier; his strange behaviour and franticity. Nami complained that he had barged in while she was making a map, ruined due to her shock, Robin said that she had been reading on deck when he had been looking closely at the floor for something, Luffy exclaimed that he thought he was looking for some sort of treasure but quickly left in his boredom of nothing found.
You start to put the pieces together and begin to realise, that he was looking for something. And that something was probably the ring the Ussop had turned to you, so even if Zoro did check the bathroom it wouldn't have been there for him to find. You sigh as you quickly get up, trying to find him, Robin assuring that she had last seen him enter the kitchen and with the sounds of two men fighting, you supposed she was right.
When you open the door to the kitchen, Sanji and Zoro who seemed as though they had been arguing look at you blankly before crossing their arms and looking away from the other. You hear Zoro murmur something along the lines of, "Don't tell her," but you ignore it, hoping to relieve the tension in the room.
"Hey guys, everything alright?"
You ask, and Sanji sighs at your words before walking out of the kitchen; he seemed disappointed in your husband, more than usual. "I'll be outside [y/n]-san." You turn back to your boyfriend in Sanji's absence and you furrow your brows in concern.
"Zoro-"
"I lost my wedding band."
Zoro interrupts you before you can continue or pass him the ring in your grasp. You pause at the abruptness of his words, and the surprising amount of regret and hurt in his downcast eyes; he looked as though he had failed you.
"Zoro, it's okay I-"
"No, it's not okay, dammit." He looks to you then, and his eyes betray the stress and worry he had held onto all day, softening at the sight of his wife - you - looking at him in concern when he has just lost a treasured possession you had given him. You watch the way your husband's eyebrows pull together, and a frown makes its way to your face at the sight of him so worked up over the ring.
"It was my wedding band, a part of an oath we pledged on our wedding day, and I- I lost it. I should've looked after it better, I know that. I'm sorry."
You look, wide-eyed at the sight of the swordsman apologising to you. One of the rare times he would, but you realise now how much he placed importance on what the ring symbolised and what guilt must've filled his senses at his readiness for your disappointment. You step forward, caressing the curve of his face with one hand, as his eyes look at you, emotion betraying his eyes, but you smile softly and unravel your other hand. A moment of shock enters your husband's vision at the sight of the golden band he had almost turned the ship over for.
You smile sheepishly then, "I'm sorry, I tried telling you and giving it to you earlier but you were, you know, you seemed busy. Ussop found it in the bathroom."
You expect him to become irritated, having searched so long for something already found, but instead, Zoro smiles wide, kissing your lips suddenly in one swift movement. When he pulls away, he puts the ring back on his finger, satisfied by the light weight of it on his hand. "Thank God," he murmurs before looking at you so determinately it makes you blush. "I won't lose it again." You collect yourself before nodding, warmth spreading in your chest at his rare emotion in front of your eyes.
"I know you won't."

In c2e115, Liam describes Caleb's room as having nondescript furniture and no stained glass, proclaimed by Jester as "boring", a striking contrast from the thoughtfully designed rooms of the rest of the Mighty Nein. Caleb waves it off at the time as having spent a lot of time on the other rooms, so there was no time left for his. But zooming out, as I recall plenty of meta at the time did, the tower is an expression of Caleb's love for his friends, and the lack of attention on his own room suggestive of him not extending love towards himself. Knowing from Liam that Essek shares his room now, I like to think he has learned to invest in his own space - even if using the bridge of catering to Essek's needs there at first - and landed on a design that is Caleb Widogast's too.

LAW
Unlike some of the other pirates around, Law kept up with the news and goings on in the world regardless of if there was an inkling his or the crews bounties would go up or not. He needed to be aware of everything going on at all times in order to plan the best course of action and leave very little room for surprises should the next island he came to be already in the middle of some drama that could be either avoided or exploited. One morning he walked into the dining room of the Polar Tang to join the rest of the crew for breakfast. Grabbing his morning coffee he took his usual seat and flicked open the paper, beginning to leisurely read through it while enjoying idle conversation with the rest of the crew.Â
âHey Captain can I-â Penguinâs question was cut off immediately when Law was already pulling out the so-called âentertainment' section of the paper and passed it across the table. That was the one section he felt was an entire waste of paper and ink and only glanced at just incase something of note had slipped through. Most of the time though? Even the barest glance felt like a handful of seconds heâd never get back due to the pointless garbage written on the pages. âThank Cap!â Law gave a non-committal grunt in acknowledgement to his subordinateâs thanks and trained his attention instead into a story about political unrest affecting two neighbouring islands.Â
Unfortunately his focus was interrupted when Penguin suddenly let out a gasp just as he was taking a bite of his breakfast causing him to choke. Law set his paper down and rose sharply, making his way directly to his friend. It was a relief that in that time Law approached, Penguin had managed to dislodge the food and caught his breath. âOi, why didnât you chew? Nearly gave us a heart attack!â Law lectured, using his relief to fuel his panicked lecture. Penguin nervously shifted in his seat and with another clearing of his throat he shakily turned over the entertainment section to show Law and the others what had caused his mishap. Lawâs eyes dropped to the print and they widened, sharply snatching it from the table just as you walked in with a long yawn breaking from your lips. âMorninâ guysâŠâ
When no-one answered you blinked and frowned at the group in confusion. Stepping closer you looked over Lawâs shoulder to see what had gotten his and everyone elseâs attention. Similar to Law, your eyes bugged and you pulled his arm towards you so you could get a better look, as iff the extra inch of space would make the page change from what you couldnât believe you were seeing. First was the eye-popping headline âHOT PIRATE OF THE WEEK: HEART PIRATESâ HEARTBREAKER!â Filling the page were images of you standing on the dock of the Polar Tang on one of the occasions the sub had surfaced and you were performing maintenance on the vessel.Â
Slowly you remembered that day. It had been so hot that you had to undo the top of your boiler suit and tie the sleeves around your waist to reveal the tank top you'd been wearing underneath. Your skin was lightly sheened with sweat and cheek smeared with a small streak of oil. Nervously you rubbed the back of your neck as you looked over the images, you were just doing your job but somehow the photographer had managed to take countless photos, all of them very flattering. It did unnerve you slightly to think that everyone would see you like this along with cheesy one-liners of âthey can perform maintenance on me any day,â âtune me up,â âletâs let off some steam,â and your favourite âCaptain Law, can we join your crew?â
Nervously you chewed your lip and looked away to finally see your Captainâs reaction, fearing he would lecture you. Instead it surprised you to see the back of his neck and his cheeks were tinged a very noticeable pink as his eyes were glued to your pictures. Unable to help yourself you couldnât help but smile slightly, pleased and a little giddy that he was looking appreciatively. Still you needed to break the silent tension. âIâm surprised they got my good side.â
âYou stupid? Every side is your good side.â Law asked suddenly, his mouth acting while his brain was still distracted. Your eyes widened and lit in shock at Lawâs words, your smile growing when realisation hit your usually serious Captain that heâd said it aloud. Flustered and unable to recover, Law swiftly turned and left the room to the safety of his office and you grinned wider to notice heâd kept a firm hold on the paper as he left.
SMOKER
Something strange was happening at G5 and it was pissing Smoker off to no end. Every few minutes calls and missives came through, the influx a lot more than normal. The usual missions and reports were overwhelmed with transfer requests coming from all sections of the worldâs seas. Part of him thought it was a well co-ordinated prank being pulled on him from the different divisions by very bored and motivated Marines that he must have angered in some way. This had to have been a prank or revenge it had to. There was no way all these requests to come to G5 was genuine.Â
It hadnât even reached mid-morning yet and what little patience he had was gone when the next transfer request came through. Angrily Smoker slammed his hand down on his desk and rose from his desk, having had more than enough nonsense to last him a lifetime. If he stayed in his office for much longer, heâd be driven to making his own transfer request to get away from it all. Needing a distraction to clear his head, Smoker began to walk aimlessly in search of what seemed like the quietest section of the base. In his mind he thought if it was quiet then that meant there would be no-one around to pester him.Â
âSmoker!â Smoker came to an abrupt halt and turned his head sharply to see you approach him, your pace quickened and expression just as frustrated and annoyed as he was. Your own sour mood was probably why you werenât trying to stay out of his way. Now finding his distraction, Smoker faced you properly. You huffed out a sharp breath, relieved that the commander had finally snapped out of whatever he was thinking about and stopped long enough for you to catch up and stop in front of him. âDidnât you hear me calling you?â
âWasnât paying attention to anything really.â Smoker explained, only now noticing his cigars had burned to nothing. Grabbing two more from his jacket he lit them and placed them into his mouth, taking a fresh inhale of the nicotine helping to make him more grounded. Releasing the breath of smoke, he used his ability to direct it away from your face as he focussed his attention on you. âSo what did you need?â
âJust a general inquiry.â You began while trying to control your anger while it was still fresh. In a base full of short fuses you at least tried to stay levelheaded around your commander. You took a slow breath and looked to him, still unable to keep the scowl from your face. âHow much trouble would I get in for beating up a newspaper employee?â
âNot like you to get so hotheaded about journalistsâŠâ You let out a bitter scoff at the word âjournalistâ and your hand holding the rolled up paper tightened to the point the paper crinkled loud enough to make Smokerâs gaze drop from your face. âWhatâs been reported?â
âYou havenât seen it?â You asked, momentarily confused. You thought everyone else had. Or was he acting dumb on purpose so you would have to relive your embarrassment in realtime in front of him. Deep down you knew that wasn't Smokerâs nature, and his mirrored look of confusion confirmed that. With a sigh you lifted your hand, offering the rolled up paper to him.Â
Smoker lightly tugged the paper out of your reluctant grip and let it unfurl. Knowing this had to be personal for you he flicked through the pages in search of the cause for your wish to cause harm to a civilian. Finally he found it, or rather it practically jumped out at him when he turned the page. Your image filled the page, the photo capturing you mid-battle. One foot had connected with the blurred shape of a pirate while your body was arched, your weapon in hand and aimed at another enemy. Smoker took in your form, eyebrows raised at how poised and strong you were. What got him the most was the fearsome, intense edge lighting your eyes, your focus entirely on stopping the pirates that had tried to ransack a village. All in all it was an extremely flattering story about your heroism and undeniable strength. Yes, there were some comments about your attractiveness but Smoker couldnât exactly argue, not when the facts were so clearly staring him in the face-both on paper and in person.Â
Finally Smokerâs eyes zeroed in on how the story piece stated you were a part of the G5 base and he let out a huff of frustration and amusement. So this was the reason for his morning-long headache. âYou just have to live with it. Thereâll be a different story by tomorrow.â Smoker shrugged calmly and handed the paper back to you. âDonât let something like this bother you. Okay?â
âItâs embarrassing.â You grumbled. âWhy did they have to fill a page with my picture? Why even use my picture at all?â
âWhy not? It looks good.â Your head snapped up at Smokerâs murmured comment, eyes widened and heat prickling the back of your neck. He looked completely composed and stoic, acting as if he hadnât said anything at all but you knew what you heard. Instead he lightly tapped your shoulder and started to head back towards his office, idly calling after you as he went. âIf youâll excuse me I have transfer requests to formally reject. Just keep up the good work.â

WEARING LAWâS HAT MEANS...
â sfw
â summary: youâve earned the privilege to wear the Surgeon of Deathâs hat, and these are the reasons why (:
He trusts you, definitely more than he expected. That damn thing has been his one and only constant companion in his life (it has gone through many evolutions) other than his crewmates.
âMake sure it doesnât fly away.â âYou can throw me overboard if that happens.â
He likes seeing it on you; itâs a small reminder to him that despite all of the madness going on, you and a select few are worth living and fighting for.
He doesnât want you to catch a cold.
âHeat exits out of your head. Wear this to stay warm.â âI think Iâll be fine, Captain.â âDo you want to get sick?â
He lets you play captain of the Heart Pirates here and there - to an extent.
âAre you saying that if I want a pet they can get one for me?â âNo, we donât need one.â âBut Iâm the Captain!â âNot anymore.â
He is secretly marking you with his scent.
âEw, what in all the blues did you put on?â âShut up, Shachi, I smell like a strong, powerful devil fruit user. What do you smell like?â
Itâs a way for him to show he cares about you without saying it in words.

When they're drunk: Monster Trio, Ace + Law (sfw, fluff)
Summary: How do they act when they're drunk? What's their favorite drink? Do they get lovey-dovey? SFW fluff. CW: Curse words/profanity. "Princess" used in Sanji and Ace's parts. Mentions of kissing/making out, suggestive themes but nothing outright explicit (hence, sfw). A singular, mild nod to vomiting in Sanji's section.
Luffy: rowdy and hungry
Heâs pretty predictable; he gets rowdy, eats a lot, and has horrible hangovers (one of the main reasons he abstains from drinking almost entirely).
Rarely drinks. One of the reasons in his mind for not over-indulging is that if he gets too drunk he wonât be able to remember all the meat he ate.
Literally no impulse control. So when he does drink, he racks up a HUGE tab (mostly bar food) and one of the crew has to pick up his bill because he forgets to close it out. You make sure to tip extra because itâs his tab.
Eats even more than usual because (obviously) eating good food while youâre drunk makes it taste even better. Chokes on his food more, too. It's kind of a pain in the ass.
Luffy is a MENACE about the food. Heâll gomu gomu his arm to the other side of the bar to swoop up some unsuspecting randomâs food and heâll shove it in his gullet in the blink of an eye. No evidence or crumbs. A monster.
He gets dehydrated because he doesnât drink water when heâs drunk, and his salt intake is crazy, so he literally has to be reminded to do so. At some point you just start pushing a glass of water into his hands and rolling your eyes because you know heâs going to be the biggest complainer the next morning.
Luffy and Usopp egg each other on, itâs bad because sometimes they have drinking contests (or eating contests). They get scrappy sometimes and you have to tell them off because they cause a scene.
He wonât shut up about being king of the pirates. No one minds but, goddamn, how many times can one person say that in a night?
Heâs endearingly sweet when heâs had too much to drink. He canât stop staring at you when his face isnât buried in a plate of food.
His eyes are glued to your face.
âLuffy, what? Why are you staring at me?â
âYou just look so pretty.â
He even wants to hold your hand when you walk back to the ship at the end of the night. The whole crew thinks you make a cute couple, and they love how happy you make each other.
When you crawl into bed at the end of the night, he clings onto you like a sloth and then starts snoring in your ear. He wraps himself around you and conks out almost immediately.
Sure enough, the next morning heâs complaining so much it would be insufferable if you didnât love him to pieces. He whines and you take care of him.
Luffy recovers from his monster hangover at a superhuman speed, which makes the whining not so badâitâll be less than an hour of complaining and whining and pouting, but when youâve made him drink enough water and brought him enough food, he is as good as new in mere minutes. Itâs uncanny.
Favorite drink?: Anything he can get his hands on, but he likes beer best (more volume). Will never do shots.
Zoro: over-indulges like clockwork
When he's drunk he generally does things he shouldnât. Drinks too much and flirts too much. Eats way too much and runs his mouth too much, too.
He flirts with anyone he wants to, which is usually VERY out of character, but he doesnât care at all when heâs drunk. Heâll flirt with you, with Sanjiâs partner, with Sanji (?), the bartender, anyone and everyone he feels like.
Itâs when heâs tipsy that the flirting starts. Heâs deviously subtle about it at first. Zoro jokes and tease, but after coaxing so much laughter out of you one too many times, you start to wonder if heâs flirting with you (he is).
He gets more blunt as the night goes on. The drunker he is the bolder he is. He manages to elicit more crimson, flushed faces in the bar than anyone on the crew, and this can be attributed to the fact that heâs strikingly handsome and he almost never says anything suggestive. But the liquor brings out his cheeky smiles. And itâs hard to look away from those muscles or flashing eyes.
Drinks wayyyy too much but has a super high tolerance, so he doesnât usually act very drunk. He can drink the whole crew (and usually whole bar) under the table.
Always down for a drinking game and loves to bet on it because he knows heâll win. He pouts when no one wants to participate because everyone can only lose to him so many times before they start to refuse for good.
Generally just down for gambling in general, but when heâs drunk he goes balls to the wall with it. And he actually doesnât lose very much. Almost makes enough to pay off his tab.
While he doesnât act very drunk, if you know him well enough you can tell when heâs too far gone. His eyes linger, he smiles harder, his glass empties faster, and he turns his body towards yours more with each passing second. His knee or thigh rests against yours and youâre so intoxicated with his presence that itâs hard to pay attention to his words.
Zoro orders more than he knows he should, and more than he knows he can pay for. Somehow it always works outâone of the crew members bails him out (usually Nami, and when she does, she adds 300% interest, but Zoro is too drunk to care).
Surprisingly polite to waitstaff, maybe a little curt at times.
Itâs no secret that he just loves a good glass of sake, beer, wine, anything and everything with alcohol. One of his favorite things is to just sit back, relax, and drink. It would concern you if you didnât know how strict his discipline and self-control are.
He gets extra handsy when heâs drunk (and possessive). He never crosses lines with you, but since you started seeing each other in an intimate capacity, he canât take his hands off of you, especially when heâs drunk. Doesnât care if heâs in public, doesnât care if people are watching. The rest of the crew is shocked when they first witness him getting a rough handful of your ass.
Zoro pulls out pet names, which youâd assume is out of character. Somehow the liquor makes him sweet. âCâmere gorgeous.â
But it also makes him spicier. âGod, youâre so fucking hot.â
Loves sloppy make out sessions after he's had a few drinks. Also is prone to pulling you away somewhere and... well, you know. The man's a dog.
Zoroâs voice gets lower and huskier when heâs too far gone. It makes you feel some sort of way. And your bashfulness does not escape him.
But when heâs wayyyy drunk, he just falls asleep. Like heâll pass out at the bar. He makes it back to the ship by himself usually, but youâve had to shake the sleepy swordsman awake a couple of times.
âZoro, get up. Weâre going back to the ship.â
You have no idea how he can sleep in such a loud bar, and the bartender has been glaring at him for a good 20 minutes at this point.
âWha-?â He raises his head and blinks sleep out of his eyes while he instinctively reaches for his (empty) pint. âOh hey, pretty.â He mumbles and your heart does a flip for the 100th time that night.
Zoro gets MONSTER, BRUTAL hangovers. Next level. He doesnât complain, per say, but heâll walk around squinting, shielding his eyes from light, wincing, muttering curse words, and hissing in air through his teeth the whole time. Forces himself to train through the hangovers and gets grumpy about it.
Favorite drink: sake. Really nice sake.
Sanji: as doting as ever
Ohhh Sanji. Heâs adorable when heâs drunk.
His whole face gets red and his hair gets a bit ruffled. He blushes more than usual and you can practically see his eyes turn into hearts when he looks at you.
Sanji drunk flirts wayyy more audaciously than Zoro, and when heâs drunk he actually spits mad game.
Heâs incapable of doing so when heâs sober, but when heâs drunk he literally attracts a crowd of women. But his eyes are only for you.
If the bar has music and people are dancing, Sanji begs you to dance with him. He loves to twirl you around, feel your hand in his, and let loose. And heâs surprisingly good at it.
Orders bar food even though heâs continually unimpressed by it.
He somehow manages to weasel his way into the kitchen every time he sets foot in a bar. He wants to see whatâs going on in thereâwhenâs the last time they cleaned the stove? Are the knives sharp? Whatâs the mise en place setup? Whatâs their speciality? Why are they using cabernet sauvignon to cook, instead of a pinot noir that would obviously be the better choice? God forbid they use frozen french fries.
Inevitably, he ends up cooking something and either getting along with or fighting with the cooks.
Sometimes he even ends up behind the bar. He isnât just a spectacular chef, heâs also good at making drinks. Obviously his are better than the bartenderâs.
Smokes so many cigs when heâs drunk (because nothing trumps a drunk cigarette) >_>
When he isnât fucking around in the kitchen or slinging cocktails, Sanji waits on you hand and foot. He gets you literally anything you desire when youâre at the bar, and when youâre back home he asks you (and everyone else) what food youâd like.
âPrincess, would you like another cocktail?â and âHave you been drinking enough water, sweetheart?â
If a creepy guy at the bar so much as looks at you, let alone puts an unwanted hand on your arm or small of your back, Sanji flips his shit. âHey asshole, watch it. Do that again and Iâll kick your ass.â
This goes without saying, but Sanji loves to cook when heâs drunk and somehow his food is even better than usualâand that isnât because youâre drunk, too. Itâs just that good.
âWhat would you like me to make you, my love?â
If you donât know what particular dish youâre in the mood for, he makes you a feast comprised of your favorite foods.
Even if you request something elaborate, he has no problems with it. Cooking is his love language, and he puts extra love into your food.
âGod, youâre so beautiful. I canât take my eyes off of you.â He praises you beyond belief, even when heâs at the stovetop. âYouâre perfect, my angel.â
Sanji smothers you in kisses and wants to entwine his fingers with yours. Heâs a huge hand holder and cuddler.
If you get way too drunk, he carries you to bed, helps you into some comfy clothes and makes sure youâre sleeping on your side. Heâll pet your hair and watch over you carefully. Heâd never let you get to the point of throwing up, but just in case you do, he brings you the necessary supplies.
He sets out everything he thinks you could possibly want in case you wake up before him, and when he is awake, he brings you whatever you ask for. Heâs attentive, never overbearing, thoughtful, and darling.
âYou somehow get more beautiful every day,â he tells you first thing in the morning when you feel like shit from your hangover and (objectively) look a damn mess. âSo perfect, like always.â
Favorite drink(s): bougie and carefully curated glass of pinot gris. Even better if it comes with complementary accoutrements. Also enjoys a negroni.
Ace: charming and protective
When Ace is drunk, heâs smooth, flirty, charming, polite, and a bit forward. But he gets just as rowdy as Luffy. God forbid theyâre at the same bar.
He loves it when a bar has pool. Heâs crazy good at it and begs everyone to play.
When the situation calls for it, he either breaks up bar fights or runs his mouth so much that he starts them. Heâs sassy in general but also talks big game (that he can back up). Especially if someone starts slandering or talking out of their ass about someone he knows.
Somehow manages to gain control over the music every bar he walks into. And he has good playlists too. He hates it if the vibe is off so he takes it upon himself to remedy or prevent that.
Also a big fan of drinking games.
Weirdly excited if there is any opportunity to grill meat. Thinks itâs fun to fuck around with his powers and show off (but it doesnât get too cringey or anything).
Wonât smoke any drunk cigs (like Sanji) but will accompany people outside and give them a light if they need one (heâs just so thoughtful!!!)
Heâs wildly protective over you.
Makes you flustered nonstop and pays for everything. Making you flustered is like a sport to him.
And while heâs obsessed with you, he doesnât cling to you at the bar or demand your attention every second. He wants you to have fun with your friends, but he also wants you to be safe, so he keeps a watchful eye.
Sings random bar pirate songs with his friends and crew and gets super goofy.
Raucous laughter. Spit-take level
When his cheeks are ruddy and his eyes are glazed over he looks painfully good. The flush makes his freckles pop and when he scrunches his nose up to laugh theyâre emphasized even more. He looks ridiculously good. Like, squeeze your thighs together good.
Ace TEARS UP bar food when heâs drunk. Heâs a beast for it. Can put away plates of fries, wings, pizza, pretzels, you name it. The man is a machine.
Loves to put a hand on your thigh when youâre sitting next to him. He does this sober but when heâs drunk itâs feels so much more intense.
Pulls out the sweetest pet names.
âHowâs it going, sugar?â
âYou drinking enough water, pumpkin?â
Among others: buttercup, darling, angel, princess, doll, etc.
His polite tendencies are multiplied by 1000 any time he gets a drop of alcohol in him.
Gets into sports (or strength) debates at bars.
Has a penchant for accidentally leaving stuff at bars, e.g. wallet. Gets embarrassed about it afterwards.
Aceâs body gets HOT when heâs drunkâhis ability (or attention) to control his temperature slips a bit and he can sometimes forget to regulate himself (regarding his devil fruit). And while heâs physically hot, he doesnât get sweaty or anything. And itâs nice to hold his hand when itâs warm, too. Super comforting.
Heâs all hands (and lips) when heâs drunk, and when you let him/when neither of you are too wasted, but if youâre really drunk and try to initiate anything with him, he IMMEDIATELY puts a stop to it. Heâs a gentleman (not implying that anyone mentioned here would do the opposite of this, just stressing it for Ace because I think heâd put a lot of intention and thought into this, along with Sanji).
He makes sure you donât drink too much (and tries to do the same) because he hates seeing you miserable with a hangover. But if you do over-indulge, heâs there to bring you anything you needâibuprophen, water, Pedialyte, more blankets, different clothes, food, literally anything you could think of.
When youâre out of bed the morning after, he literally chews people out for speaking too loudly around you when he knows you have a headache. He's attentive and gets grumpy (not towards you, of course) whenever you're feeling bad.
Favorite drink: whiskey or rum and coke. Beer guy, too, so might indulge in the occasional IPA and pretend like it tastes good.
Law: awkward, silly, and endearing
Frequently refuses to drink because he hates having his senses dulled in the slightest. But on rare occasions when he does drink, the whole crew has a blast.
His standoffish and cold disposition melts away when he has a few drinks in him.
The first time you witness his coldness melting away, youâre sitting around a table with the crew at a pub. Heâs a couple drinks in, mean mugging like usual, deadpan and unamused. But someone says something ridiculously funny and he breaks into roaring laughter. You werenât expecting that but everyone else is grinning because they love to see their captain happy.
When Law gets past a certain point he lets loose. Itâs fun to see him mess around with the crew. Heâll laugh so hard he doubles over.
He's so sweet and tender inside. And that makes more of a prominent impression when he lets his guard down just a tad.
When heâs drunk he thinks Bepo is even cuter and goes a little overboard about it to the point where Bepo side eyes him >_> he thinks itâs weird to have his captain hang all over him sometimes. But Bepo is just so fluffy and cute!
When Law is intoxicated and youâre around, his face is covered in big, goofy, sweet smiles. Flashing eyes and lingering touches. He gets rosy cheeks and his hair gets messed up. Makes him look even better.
But he also has the tendency to make blisteringly intense eye contact. So strong and scathing that it makes you squirm in awkwardness if you arenât used to it. He canât help it though, heâs locked-in on how beautiful you are.
Surprisingly a fan of drinking games (no gambling though), but what he likes best is if a bar has old arcade games (air hockey and pool will suffice, if not). He could play them for hours and gets super excited about them. He knows all the facts and history behind each arcade game and will rant about it to anyone in earshot.
His ears perk up if he hears some nerdy shit. Did someone mention a comic he read when he was five? A commemorative coin that he has been on the hunt for? Heâll get to the bottom of it.
If he hears a bad take on his interests^^ heâll sit down for a heated debate and he always wins.
Surprisingly cute when heâs wasted because he slurs the â-yaâ
Watches the crew's water intake like a hawk. Reminds everyone to drink water and makes sure everyone has a glass of it at all times.
Will make sure the crew has enough bar food to eat, family-style.
Picks up the crew's huge tab without being fussy about it. Might pretend to be grumpy about it. But he does it lovingly because he cherishes his crew so much and it's a nice way to showcase that without having to say it out loud.
If youâre one on one, Law can be persuaded to talk about deep and personal things, or rather, heâs more comfortable speaking about them when he has some liquid courage in his veins.
The first time he got too drunk and you took care of him was before you started seeing each other. You practically had to carry him back to the Polar Tang. He almost left his hat at the bar, too.
Law was being uncharacteristically sweet to you all night. When you got back to his cabin, you helped him get into bed and brought him water. He (drunkenly) thanked you profusely and called you beautiful (you didnât expect that).
The next morning he blushed bright red and was painfully awkward when he said thank you. He had a massive hangover and tried to hide it but you could tell every time he winced.
After that, Law figured out he could just use his devil fruit powers to remove the last traces of alcohol from his (or someone else's) systems, so it's safe to say that the Polar Tang doesn't experience hangovers much.
Favorite drink: Espresso martini.

pt. 1 | pt. 2
âââââââââââââââââââââË.àŒ
Monkey D. Luffy
Luffy wasnât himself. It was the first thing everyone noticed after you left the ship. His laughter, usually loud and contagious, was quieter, forced. Mealtimes felt emptier, and the energy on the Sunny had shifted. He tried to act like nothing was wrong, but even the crew could see the shadow of regret lingering in his eyes. Â
But now, here he was, standing in front of you in the quiet port town where youâd taken refuge after leaving the crew. His usual confidence was gone, replaced by a desperate determination. Â
âIâm sorry,â he said for what must have been the tenth time. His voice was raw, almost breaking. âI didnât mean it. I shouldnât have told you to leave. I was stupid.â Â
You stood with your arms crossed, your expression guarded. Seeing Luffy like thisâso uncharacteristically vulnerableâcaught you off guard, but the sting of his words still lingered, fresh and sharp. Â
âLuffy, you canât just say whatever you want when youâre mad and expect everything to go back to normal,â you said, your voice steady but tinged with exhaustion. âYou told me to leave. So I did.â Â
âI didnât mean it,â he repeated, stepping closer but stopping just short of touching you. âI was mad and didnât think. I... I need you on the ship. Not just because I want you there, but because youâre part of the crew. Youâre important to us all and i shouldnât have made you feel otherwise.â Â
You searched his face, his big, earnest eyes pleading with you. You could see the regret there, the weight of his mistake hanging heavy on his shoulders. For a moment, your resolve wavered, but you quickly shook your head. Â
âI canât just come back because you say youâre sorry, Luffy. What happens the next time we fight? Are you going to tell me to leave again?â Â
âNo!â he blurted out, shaking his head vehemently. âNo, I swear. Iâll never say anything like that again.â Â
You frowned, unsure what to make of his declaration. âLuffy, words arenât enough.â Â
He nodded, his straw hat shadowing his eyes for a moment before he looked up at you with renewed determination. âThen Iâll show you. Whatever it takes.â Â
True to his word, Luffy didnât give up. He didnât force you to return to the ship, but he didnât leave the island either. Every day, he showed upâwhether it was to bring you a freshly caught fish for dinner, fix something around the small inn you were staying at, or simply sit outside and wait in silence. He didnât push, didnât demand, but his presence was constant. Â
When the ship needed supplies, he was the first to volunteer, taking on tasks heâd usually leave to someone else. The crew later told you how heâd started taking more responsibility, trying to step up as a better leader. Â
Even when you didnât speak to him, he never faltered. Every action, every small gesture, was his way of showing you how much he regretted his words. Â
One evening, you found Luffy sitting on the dock, staring out at the ocean with his straw hat resting in his lap. He looked smaller somehow, as though the weight of his regret had worn him down. Â
When he noticed you approaching, he stood up immediately, his expression shifting from surprise to cautious hope. Â
âWhy do you keep doing this?â you asked, crossing your arms. Â
âBecause I was wrong,â he said without hesitation. âBecause I hurt you, and I have to make it right. Even if you never come back, Iâll keep trying. I donât care how long it takes.â Â
His sincerity stopped you in your tracks. He wasnât making excuses, wasnât brushing over your feelings like they didnât matter. He had made changesâsmall ones, but noticeableâand for the first time, you truly believed he understood the gravity of what heâd done. Â
You sighed, letting the silence linger before speaking. âLuffy... Iâll come back.â Â
His eyes lit up with hope, his lips parting as though he couldnât believe what heâd just heard. Â
âBut,â you continued, holding up a finger, âthis only works if things stay different. Iâm not going back just to deal with the same problems again. I need to know youâre taking this seriously.â Â
âI swear!â he said immediately, his voice brimming with determination. âI swear that things will be different. A good different. No more reckless fights for selfish reasons or saying things I donât mean, I promise.â Â
You studied him for a long moment, the sincerity and determination in his eyes unmistakable. Finally, you allowed a small smile to tug at the corners of your lips. âAlright, Lu.â Â
Relief washed over his face as he heard the familiar nickname, and for the first time in weeks, you saw his grin return, bright and full of life. Â
"I missed you so much, baby," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion and certainty, as he wrapped his arms around you.
The comforting warmth of his embrace, felt like homeâsafe, secure, and exactly where you wanted to be.
Roronoa Zoro
Zoro wasnât one to grovel. Stubborn and prideful as he was, apologies didnât come easy for him. But as he sat alone on the Sunnyâs deck, replaying his words from the fight, regret gnawed at him like a dull blade. Â
The memory of your faceâshocked, hurt, and then resignedâkept flashing in his mind. He hadnât just lashed out; heâd cut deep. You were trying to help, and heâd thrown it back at you, calling you controlling and annoying when you didnât deserve it. Â
He groaned, pressing his palms against his face. He hated how small he felt for failing to show up to the dates youâd so carefully planned, how your suggestionâsimple and kindâhad poked at an insecurity he didnât want to face. And now, because of his pride, heâd pushed you away. Â
For days, youâd been distant, giving him space, but that only made the guilt worse. He needed to fix this. Â
You were sitting on a quiet hillside overlooking the ocean when Zoro found you. The breeze tugged at your clothes, and you looked peacefulâtoo peaceful, considering how much turmoil youâd left him in. Â
âHey,â he called softly, his voice unusually hesitant. Â
You glanced at him, surprised to see the normally stoic swordsman looking... sheepish. He stood awkwardly a few feet away, his hand rubbing the back of his neck. Â
âWhat is it, Zoro?â you asked, your tone calm but distant. Â
He swallowed hard, his fingers twitching at his sides before he took a step closer. âI wanted to apologize.â Â
That caught your attention. Your brows lifted in mild surprise, but you said nothing, waiting for him to continue. Â
âI shouldnât have snapped at you,â he said, his voice low and gruff, but steady. âYou werenât being controlling or annoying. You were just... trying to help.â He exhaled heavily as if forcing the words out of himself. âAnd I was an idiot.â Â
You blinked, his sincerity throwing you off guard. âZoroââ Â
âLet me finish, please,â he interrupted, his eyes meeting yours for the first time. There was something raw in his gazeâan uncharacteristic vulnerability. âIâve been thinking about it, and... I hate that Iâm always late. I hate knowing youâre waiting for me while Iâm stuck wandering around like an idiot who canât follow a simple route. Itâs embarrassing.â Â
Your expression softened, but you stayed quiet, letting him speak. Â
âWhen you suggested we go together, I know it wasnât because you thought I was useless,â he continued, his voice tightening. âBut thatâs how it made me feel. Like I wasnât good enough to get it right on my own. And instead of dealing with that, I took it out on you. I shouldnât have done that.â Â
He took a deep breath, his shoulders relaxing slightly. âBut I donât think youâre controlling or annoying. Youâre the most patient and understanding person for putting up with me. So you deserve better and I want to be that.â Â
The sincerity in his voice was almost overwhelming, and for a moment, you werenât sure how to respond. He wasnât just saying the wordsâhe meant them. Â
âI know I canât just say sorry and expect everything to go back to normal,â he added, glancing away briefly before meeting your gaze again. âSo, please baby just⊠give me a chance to make it right.â Â
Your lips parted in surprise. Zoro wasnât the type to take the initiative when it came to things like this, but the determination in his eyes was unmistakable. Â
After a long pause, you let out a soft sigh, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips. âOne last chance.â Â
He nodded, relief flashing across his face, but there was also a quiet resolve in his expression. This wasnât just a promiseâit was a vow. Â
The next time you guys went on a date, Zoro was ready. He showed up early, finally getting the chance to wait on you. He led you to a quiet clearing overlooking the sea, a picnic already set up with food heâd personally asked Sanji to help him prepare. Â
The effort was clear in every little detail, from the way he chose the spot (easily accessible, no chance to get lost) to the careful decorations and crafts you mentioned liking/wanting to try. Showing that despite his stoic nature, he was listening to you during previous dates. Even now as you spoke, he would chime in at just the right moments. Â
It wasnât perfectâhe stumbled over a few of his words and complained when a seagull tried to swipe the foodâbut it was Zoro, trying in his own way. And that meant everything. Â
By the time the date ended, you leaned back on the blanket, gazing up at the stars, feeling closer to him than ever before. When he reached for your hand, you let him, squeezing it gently. Â
Zoro glanced down at your intertwined fingers, his thumb brushing over your knuckles. His gaze softened, and he took a deep breath before speaking. âI know you agreed to give me another chance, but I need to know if youâre still interested in giving me that chance.â
Your heart softened at the rare vulnerability in his voice. You turned to meet his eyes, and they were steady, full of quiet determination. Â
A soft smile tugged at your lips, and you leaned into him as the waves crashed gently in the distance. For a man of few words, Zoro was surprisingly good at them.
âWell,â you began, tilting your head with a teasing glint in your eye, âthat depends. Are you going to keep being so dramatic about it?â You bit back a laugh as you watched the tips of his ears turn red, his expression shifting into a familiar scowl.
âTch, not being dramatic,â he grumbled, looking away, but the redness in his ears betrayed him.
You chuckled softly and squeezed his hand, drawing his attention back to you. âI was being serious about giving you that second chance,â you said warmly. His shoulders relaxed slightly, and the tension in his jaw eased.
âBut,â you continued, your tone more firm, ânext time something like this happens, promise that youâll communicate it properly. Okay? No more bottling things up.â
Zoro stared at you for a moment, his expression unreadable, before nodding once. âYou have my word.â His voice was low but steady, carrying the weight of his promise.
âGood.â You smiled, squeezing his hand again as a soft breeze brushed past, carrying with it the sound of the waves.
God Usopp
The day had been quiet, almost too quiet, and the silence weighed heavy between you and Usopp. Since your argument, things havenât been the same. You still spoke, but the words felt hollow, and the laughter you once shared now seemed distant and forced. He noticed it allâthe way your smile never quite reached your eyes, the strain in your voice when you tried to act like nothing was wrong. Â
And it tore him apart. Â
Usopp sat on the deck after dinner, absentmindedly fiddling with a half-finished invention. His fingers moved on instinct, but his thoughts were stuck on your last conversation. He hated himself for the way heâd lashed out, for the way heâd let his insecurities push you away. Â
As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sea in shades of orange and pink, he made up his mind. He couldnât let this fester any longer. Â
When you stepped onto the deck for some air, Usopp hesitated, watching you from a distance. Finally, he stood, his hands clenching at his sides as he approached you. Â
âHey,â he called softly. Â
You turned, surprised to see him. âOh, hey.â Your voice was casual, but your guarded expression told him you were bracing for something. Â
âCan we talk?â he asked, his tone uncharacteristically serious. Â
You nodded, following him to a quieter spot on the ship where the others couldnât overhear. The soft sound of the waves filled the silence as Usopp struggled to find the right words. Â
âIâve been... thinking,â he began, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. âAbout what I said. About the fight.â He looked down, unable to meet your gaze. Your brows furrowed, but you stayed quiet, giving him the space to explain.
âI know you donât see me as weak,â he continued, his voice growing tight. âBut hearing you scream for him... it made me feel useless.â He exhaled sharply, his hand tightening around the railing. âAnd I hate feeling like that. I know Iâm not like Luffy, Zoro, or Sanji. Iâm not the guy who can punch through walls or take down ten enemies at once, but... I at least want to be someone you can count on. Someone you can feel protected with.â
He paused, his words faltering slightly. âBut instead of talking to you about it, I projected my insecurities onto you, and made it seem like you were wrong for asking our friends for help. For that, Iâm sorry.â
The vulnerability in his words hit you hard, and guilt pooled in your chest. âBaby...â you started, your voice soft. âIâm sorry, too. I never meant to make you feel that way.â You stepped closer, resting a hand on his arm. âBut you are someone I can count on. Someone whoâs saved my ass more times than I can count. Your strength may not look like theirs, but itâs just as important.â
He finally looked at you, his eyes wide, searching for any trace of doubt. âYou... you really mean that?â
âHeck yeah, I do,â you said without hesitation. âI trust you, Usopp. I always have.â
A small, hesitant smile tugged at his lips, and he let out a shaky breath, relief flooding through him. âThanks... I needed to hear that," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion.
After a moment, he straightened and rubbed the back of his head, suddenly looking sheepish. âActually, uh, thereâs something Iâve been working on. For you. I wanted to make something that could help you in a fight.â Â
Your brows lifted in surprise. âReally? What is it?â Â
Grinning now, Usopp reached into his bag and pulled out a small, compact gadget. âItâs not finished yet, but itâs kind of like a smoke bomb, but better. It creates a flash of light to blind enemies and a smoke screen to cover your escape. I thought... you know, it might come in handy.â Â
You took the gadget from him, turning it over in your hands. âUsopp, this is amazing.â Â
âYeah, well,â he said, scratching his cheek, his grin turning bashful. âI wanted to make sure you had another thing to keep you safe. In case no one else is around.â Â
You smiled, warmth blooming in your chest. âThank you, Usopp. I mean it.â Â
He relaxed then, the tension between you finally melting away. âIâll finish it soon,â he promised, his confidence returning. âAnd who knows? Maybe Iâll come up with even more stuff for you with full bragging rights.â Â
"Thanks, now I can let everyone know just how my amazing boyfriend is," you laughedâgenuinely this timeâand Usoppâs chest swelled with pride. He knew he still had work to do, but for now, the weight of your fight had lifted, and the bond between you felt stronger than ever. Â
Vinesmoke Sanji
Sanji stood alone on the deck, the moonlight casting a silver glow over his slumped figure. He leaned against the railing, a cigarette burning low between his fingers, though he hadnât taken a drag in minutes. His mind replayed every moment of your relationshipâthe laughter, the stolen glances, the warmth of your touch. And then, inevitably, it would circle back to the breakup. Â
Heâd failed you. The person who mattered more to him than anyone else in the world. His actionsâso thoughtless, so wrapped in habitâhad made you feel second to strangers. The realization haunted him, clawing at his chest. Â
Sanji thought of groveling, of falling to his knees and begging you to take him back, but he knew you too well. That would only push you further away. You were someone who needed actions, not words, and he knew his words had already failed you. Still, he couldnât bring himself to give up. You were his person, his muse, his everything. How could he possibly accept a life without you in it? Â
So he did the only thing he could. He began to show you through his actions. Â
The change was immediate. The next time the ship docked at an island, Sanji didnât so much as glance at the women who usually flocked to him. When they batted their lashes and called out for his attention, he brushed them off politely and kept his focus on his task. His compliments, once scattered freely to strangers, were now reserved only for you. Even when you ignored him, his words never waveredâsoft, sincere, and meant only for you. Â
In battle, Sanji was more relentless than ever. But his priority was always your safety, stepping in before danger could reach you, even if it meant taking a hit himself. When the crew sat down for meals, he made sure your favorite dishes were prepared just the way you liked them, his eyes flicking to your face to see if youâd noticed. Â
And when he thought you werenât looking, heâd linger nearby, silently watching you. There was a sadness in his gaze as he admired the person heâd once had the privilege of holding close. You saw him sometimes, hovering at a distance, and though you tried to ignore it, part of you couldnât deny the pang in your chest. You still had feelings for himâof course you did. But you couldnât settle for someone who had once made you doubt your place in their life. Â
Weeks passed, and Sanjiâs quiet devotion didnât falter. Even now as he stood near the railing, waiting for you, his hands slightly trembling. He had spent all day preparing for this moment, and now the weight of his plan felt heavier than ever. Â
When you finally stepped out onto the deck, he straightened immediately, smoothing his suit jacket with nervous fingers. "Hey," he called softly, his voice careful, like he was afraid of scaring you off. Â
"Hey," you replied, your tone hesitant but curious. Heâd been walking on eggshells around you for weeks, and now thisâan invitation for "something special" without much detail. Against your better judgment, youâd said yes, curiosity getting the better of you. Â
He smiled faintly, stepping toward you. "I, uh, thought we could spend the evening together. Just... talk." Â
You raised a brow. "Talk?" Â
He nodded, motioning for you to follow him. "Come on. Iâve got something to show you." Â
Despite the uncertainty in your chest, you followed him across the deck, and your eyes widened when he led you to a corner of the ship bathed in soft, golden light from lanterns he had strung up. A blanket was spread out neatly on the deck, adorned with a small basket, plates of your favorite snacks, and a bottle of your favorite drink. Â
"Sanji..." you murmured, taken aback. Â
"I know itâs not much," he said quickly, scratching the back of his neck. "But I wanted to do something for you. Something simple. Something that doesnât involve me screwing it up." Â
You blinked, your hesitation softening slightly at his earnestness. "You didnât have to go through all this trouble." Â
"I did," he countered, his voice firm but warm. "I needed to." Â
He gestured for you to sit, and after a momentâs pause, you did, settling down on the blanket. Sanji sat across from you, his hands fidgeting in his lap. Â
For a moment, neither of you spoke, the quiet hum of the ship filling the space between you. Finally, Sanji took a deep breath and looked at you, his expression more serious than youâd seen in a long time. Â
"My love," he began, "Iâve been doing a lot of thinking since... since we broke up. And I just... I need you to know how sorry I am." Â
You looked away, unsure how to respond, but he continued. Â
"I wasnât the boyfriend you deserved," he admitted, his voice low. "I made you feel like you had to compete for my attention, and thatâs unforgivable. You shouldâve never felt like anything less than the most important person in my life. Thatâs on me." Â
His gaze was unwavering as he spoke, and you couldnât help but feel the sincerity in his words. Â
"I still have feelings for you," he said, his voice trembling slightly. "I never stopped. And I donât expect you to forgive me overnight, or even to trust me again right away. But I need you to know that Iâve changed. Iâm changing. And Iâll do anything to prove it to you." Â
You stared at him, his words hitting you harder than you expected. Sanji was always smooth with his words, but this was different. There was no charm, no performative flairâjust raw honesty. Â
"Sanji..." you started, your voice faltering. You swallowed hard, your hands gripping the edge of the blanket. "I... I still have feelings for you too. But..." Â
"But you donât trust me," he finished for you, his tone understanding rather than hurt. Â
You nodded. "Itâs not that I donât want to. I just... Iâm scared of getting hurt again." Â
He reached across the blanket, his hand stopping just short of yours. "I understand," he said softly. "And I donât blame you. I donât want you to rush into anything youâre not ready for. If we have to take things slow, then thatâs what weâll do. Iâll show you, not just with words but with actions, that youâre the only one in my heart." Â
His hand lingered near yours, and after a moment, you tentatively placed your hand over his. The warmth of his touch sent a shiver through you, and you looked up to meet his gaze. Â
"Okay," you said quietly. "We can try. But slow, Sanji. No rushing, no grand gestures to win me over. Just... be honest with me." Â
A smile broke across his face, softer and more genuine than any youâd seen in weeks. "Slow it is," he promised. Â
For the first time in what felt like forever, the tension between you eased. You still had a long way to go, but as you sat there, sharing a quiet meal under the lantern light, you couldnât help but feel that maybe, just maybe, things could work out. Â
