Childhood friends to lovers Max???? you always being there for all his accomplishments so when you can't because you've got your own thing he's a little lost??? max always being judgmental about the guys you try to date?? the whole entire grid down to mechanics on other teams all seeing that he's utterly in love with you while he's just 😐 "yes this is my friend"???
But also love the depth of it like OOOOO you'd hate J*s with a burning passion for how he treated the love of your life your bestie however your love and respect for Max has you helping him set boundaries so his father doesn't continue ruining his life?? And J*s would have sneered at his son having a "girl friend" (I always go off reader being fem my apologies for assuming) and probably definitely at least hinted at treating you the same way if you were with max at a racing weekend (the gas station story?? ugh) BUT I see that being the only time Max stands up to him when he's a kid/teen because fine yeah treat me however you want but I'll fight to the death if you hurt her
lemme stop before I write a whole novel in your inbox 😭😭😭
viv!!!! omg going to address this in several sections:
yeah just utterly lost when you’ve got your first important work thing/etc that you cant take time off for. is like how am i supposed to celebrate without her? is totally off during interviews and a bit muted during celebrations. because he’s just a teenager celebrating something without his best friend in the entire world yknow🥺
literally everyone can tell they’re attached at the hip!!!!!! pls and he’s always saying well i don’t think they’re good enough for you about her bfs/dates. even complains about it to people. as teenagers do when they have a crush. and if anyone tries to subtly point it out yeah he just goes um? we’re friends?😐
and hating j*s!!! so real!!! just quietly seething and unable to do anything other than be so angry and gently tell max he deserves better. like she tries to encourage his relationship with his mum and sister more. tries to offer other points of view when j*s gets in his head. tries to comfort him even when it’s hard even when max doesn’t make it easy. because she knows there’s a way through it.
and of course j*s hates her. 1) she’s a distraction from karting. from spending all day and everyday on track. 2) shes a girl! a gender that j*s clearly has no respect for! only puts up with her for the sake of an easy relationship with his colleague. 3) she’s clearly pushing max to set boundaries with him. and stand up for himself😐
his open disdain of her probably reaches it’s highest point in max’s first few seasons in my opinion. when j*s’s grip on max is slipping. when he’s starting to listen to her more about boundaries and taking care of himself/his mental health. when he’s independent and starts to gravitate to her more and more. and he absolutely says something vile to her. and max absolutely stands up for her. is not going to let his dad treat the one person who supports him no matter what like that.

i can’t get the idea of carmy x butcher reader out of my mind for some reason
Tumblr media
words: 0.7k
warnings: none, I mean carmy's a bit of jerk for a minute, but what's new lol
a/n: honestly, I love this idea, anon so here's a little blurb! not sure if I went in the direction you were anticipating, but I really enjoyed writing this! (also, this is my first time writing for carmy so please forgive me while I'm learning his character!)
p.s. I would totally be opening to write more little blurbs for this specific pairing if anyone is interested!
oOoOo
It took four blocks to walk from The Beef to the butcher Mikey had used for the past few years. Six blocks for Carmen's fists to repeatedly clench and unclench and for his jaw to tightened as he stormed down the street, not caring who got in his way.
When he reached the butchers, Carmen threw the door open. The bell attached nearly flew off in protest, immediately catching your attention.
"How can I help?" you asked, dusting off your hands to give your newest customer your full attention. Though, by his heavy breaths, you mentally prepared yourself for the difficult conversation you expected to follow.
"You can start by getting your fucking orders right for delivery. This is the second time in a month that your shop dropped the ball and it's impacting my kitchen." he all but shouted, jabbing an accusatory finger in your direction.
Your hands gripped the counter, subtly, as you forced yourself to take a deep breath. It was early in the morning. You weren't exactly keen to start your day by dealing with angry customers - even if his intense, blue eyes were rather attractive.
"Okay," you spoke slowly. "What's the name on the order? We can figure this out."
Unfortunately, this did little to placate the seething man. "The name is Berzatto for The Beef. And I don't want to work anything out, I just want you to deliver the orders you're fucking supposed to. We need twenty pounds of meat, and you only delivered two. What good does two pounds do me?"
By that point, your own jaw clicked as you turned to look through your files. You recognized the name Berzatto and deep down you knew the delivery was correct on your end. After years of shadowing your family before taking over, you knew how to run this business.
Rather aggressively, you pulled out the order sheet and slammed it down on the counter in front of Berzatto. He snatched the sheet, eyes quickly scanning the text. You saw the moment his face fell, and couldn't help but feel rather smug.
"Do you wanna walk outside, come back in, and try again?" you asked, crossing your arms over your chest, eyes narrowed.
A few moments of silence and Berzatto finally looked back up at you, his chest heaving as he came down from his rush of adrenaline. "I," he began, then quickly shut his mouth, and turned from the counter running his hand down his face in frustration.
"Okay, how can I order the rest of the meat to be delivered, ASAP?" he asked suddenly, turning around and running a hand through his already mussed hair only to end up on the back of his neck as he looked at you.
It wasn't an apology, but his tone was noticeably calmer. You figured that would be the closest you'd get for a while. One glance at him and you could tell he carried the weight of the world on his shoulders. The name Berzatto rung a bell in your mind, and you remembered hearing there was a new owner after the previous one passed away.
With a soft sigh, you grabbed a pen and pad of paper and began to write down his order. "What's the name for the order?"
"Uh, Carm-Carmen Berzatto." he stuttered out, taken aback by your suddenly soft demeanor.
"Alright, Carmen. Here's what we're going to do. I can get you the rest of your order by this evening, and payment can be due at the end of this month. That sound okay to you?" you questioned, holding out the order slip.
Carmen reached out to grab the paper, slightly brushing his fingers against yours. Both of you pulled back quickly ignoring any sort of spark you might have felt.
He looked down at the slip, back up to you, and nodded in agreement. With a tightlipped smile, Carmen nodded his thanks and moved to leave your shop and head back to the Beef.
"And Berzatto?" you called out, quietly laughing at the way he stumbled over his feet in the doorway to turn back. "Next time try the civil approach first." you teased, leaving Carmen a blushing mess.

i thought i’d break the ice with this^ how’d you like it?
so i have this ongoing headcanon that the universe where the boys came back as girl twins that their friendships with aegon and aemond switch. (again, it’s a headcanon, so let me know if i get any characterizations wrong) and this could be when they’re older like 12-13
naturally, the green boys might’ve been told by otto to try to be very nice with the girls, one of them might end up marrying one of them
of course neither likes that idea until they actually meet the girls bc well, they’re so cool and very pretty
lets get to the girls, you already confirmed that Jon (or Daenerys/Dany, Visenya, etc, choices choices) would definitely have kept up the sword practice in secret and now that they’re with Daemon, she’d ask for sword lessons and Daemon would comply.
Rhaegar (or Rhaella, Rhaelle, Rhaenys [although i doubt this one bc there’s a current living Rhaenys atm so]) ooooo what about Rhaegella (too weird? too twilight 4?) would also keep up with the sword practice with Jon
thing is, Jon is more likely to openly challenge one of the green boys in combat than Rhaegar is, who would think it smart to keep the skill hidden, while Jon can be more impulsive, especially since she/he is older and spent more time with the sword and not really caring about hiding that
still, there COULD have been a conversation between the twins where J might’ve convinced R to just let her do her thing and R figured, “hey, if they think i’m the weaker twin, they’ll underestimate me and i can use it to my advantage”
THIS MEANS that Jon might be caught using a sword and teased, leading her/him to challenge Aemond (who’s better and more interested swords and fighting). obviously Jon wins, and Aemond might’ve been mad at losing to a girl, especially with Aegon’s teasing but then he talks to J and the two make a truce, and maybe J starts helping him out with training
meanwhile, Aegon might take a liking to both of them, but since Aemond has been more focused on J, Aegon seeks out R, who is very pretty and not weird like Helaena (his thoughts), she’s charming and tells intriguing tales and seems very interested in him talking about his horses and whatnot (R is very good at pretending, she’d run circles around this guy)
of course, things could progress as they’re doing now. Aegon might find a warrior f!Jon cool and interesting. he may not like fighting, but he may like watching her fight. (Aegon’s Aegon) And Aemond may gravitate toward R bc she’s very sweet and charming and unlike his sister, she accepts hugs and cheek kisses. and we already know Aemond has mother issues so him going to R, who’s used to being a caretaker could be plausible just as much.
i mean i just like the twist, but let me know if i got anything wrong or right, you know your characters better.
thank you for answering!
I could see Aemond warming much more to Jon-as-a-girl. The things that provoke seething jealousy in Resonant (it hasn't happened yet, but it's brewing) for Aemond in Jon don't really apply if he's part of a twin sister duo.
Jon-as-a-boy: is the best at swords ever, has a loving father who is badass and has a dragon, is likely to inherit Runestone and SOME Valyrian steel blade, and gets to have that close bond with Rhaegar. While Aemond is stuck with Viserys for a father and Aegon for a brother. Jon is everything he wants to have/be, and he doesn't even have the proper Valyrian look.
Jon-as-a-girl isn't someone to be jealous of, OTOH. Girl!Jon doesn't inherit anything, and Aemond's not going to be jealous of a sisterly relationship. Jon's non-Valyrian coloring he probably finds striking instead if he's a girl, and her skill with a blade intriguing rather than ego-threatening. I could see Aemond liking either Jon or Rhaegar for a match. Canonically, he was far more attracted to Helaena than Aegon was, and Rhaegar is certainly the more sensitive/introspective type. But Jon is also very charismatic and Alys Rivers was pretty spunky.
Aegon, meanwhile, is probably a little scared of girl!Jon, who is relentless about calling him on his bullshit. Whereas boy!Jon's propensity for shenanigans is something he admires. So his view of girl!Jon could be "scary but hot." (I wouldn't put it past Aegon to figure out whoever Aemond likes better and pursue that twin, just to fuck with him.)

Ooooo can I get jealous reader and kaeya at the tavern then some girl keeps trying to hit on him but he keeps warning her off and she will not go away so then the reader snaps on the girl?<3
SOMEwhere on my master list is. more jealousy stuff bc i love jealousy uwu
Tumblr media
You know Kaeya garners attention wherever he goes. Most of the time it's unintentional, Kaeya just someone who seems to fit perfectly into the spotlight if he wants to but you've never had any issues with it. You know he adores you and that there's nothing he could ever do to betray your trust.
With that being said, you also gave his admirers a wide berth. When the two of you became official a lot of them continued to pine for Kaeya in the privacy of their own homes, but sometimes they would get especially bold.
This includes right now. You and Kaeya were trying to have a nice evening out with each other when this woman approached him. You thought she was a friend of his by the affectionate way she called his name, minding your own business until you hear Kaeya's voice beginning to turn a little agitated.
Sure enough, Kaeya wasn't looking incredibly happy. His brows were knotted together as he tried to pry the woman off his arm. You quickly caught on to what was happening and decide to bide your time. Kaeya could take care of himself no problem, so you didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable by coming to his rescue too early.
You were beginning to seethe a little, missing Kaeya's attention on you. You couldn't help being a little extra needy for him, especially in this sort of context. Kaeya's yours, and you weren't going to let someone try to steal him away that easily.
"Just a minute of your time Captain and I'm sure I can make it worth your while!"
The woman intent on stealing your beloved's attention seems sweet at least you think to yourself as you sip on your drink in boredom, unsure what Kaeya is going to try and do.
"I'm already quite preoccupied with spending time with the love of my life. Perhaps if you have any queries for the Knights you can come to the ones on duty, rather than pursuing someone who's quite clearly off the clock." He gestures to himself, wearing his civilian clothes as he was indeed not working right now.
"Yes, but I just feel like you would understand me better. Perhaps we can discuss the nature of my concern right now?" She bats her eyes at him, trying to butter him up to no avail.
"Perhaps I could discuss the outcome of this night with the person I hope to end in bed with," Kaeya bites back, trying a more crass way to get her to back off but nothing seems to work.
You continue to listen to the back and forth between them, the hand you offered Kaeya some time ago to ground him almost having it's circulation cut off thanks to him. You decide this has gone on for far too long and clear your throat, stealing both of their attention.
"How many more times do you want him to reject you? Do you get off on it or something?" you snap, voice biting a little harder than Kaeya thought it could ever sound.
She tries to respond, opening her mouth before you cut her off.
"You've just spent the last however many minutes begging for attention from my boyfriend when it's been more than clear that he's got no interest in you."
"I'm just letting him know he still has options!"
"And I'm letting you know that you're embarrassing yourself. Just go home and I'm sure you'll make both our evenings better. You can't seriously think this looks anything other than humiliating. Begging for attention from someone who clearly doesn't want to give it to you. He's mine, and I don't appreciate you thinking any different."
She tries to say something else to you but Kaeya rolls his eyes. He leans over and gives you a zealous kiss, even playing up the moan he does which only seems to disgust her before she walks away, making the two of you laugh.
"Thank you. You truly are my Knight in shining armor," he teases, kissing your cheek sweetly.
"Oh, I'm not done. I'll make sure the whole of Mond knows who you belong to by tomorrow morning."
Kaeya's face flushes a little but you know he's ready for the challenge, smiling at you as he tries to speed your date along to get to more exciting activities.

Ooooo I’m seething.
One of my coworkers yesterday was joking that I should “say that [you’re] racist to get out of jury duty”, which, fine, it’s an extreme and someone who’s older (like she is) would maybe find that acceptable.
Well today, we somehow got on the topic of them taking down old confederate (racist) statues, and she starts up about how we’re “erasing history” and all that. And then she pulls out the bomb: “I wouldn’t ever wear a BLM shirt in public, because that’s racist! If I wore a white lives matter shirt, I’d be on the news!”
…okay. Tell me you don’t understand the cultural and social impact racism has had on the overall “view” of black lives without telling me. Tell me you don’t understand nuance or subtlety without so many words.
“I mean, they’re basically saying all other lives don’t matter.”
No, they’re saying HISTORICALLY black lives have been treated as lesser, and therefore the movement is to shed light on that uncomfortable truth, and force us to reconsider our view of black lives. Force us to approach our biases, conscious or unconscious.
If the phrase Black Lives Matter makes you so uncomfortable and defensive, you’re the one who has something to work on. If you think it implies that all other lives matter less, if you think it’s saying ONLY Black Lives Matter, or Black Lives Matter More, then you have some biases you need to address.
It’s a simple phrase. Black lives do matter. Just like all lives matter. But all lives don’t have centuries long history of abuse, of neglect and mistreatment and vile, awful shit that is inexcusable and will never be made up for, that still continues on to this day. And that’s why it’s important to emphasize that, yes, while all lives matter, Black lives have historically been treated as lesser than, and that’s fucked up. So Black Lives Matter. Black Lives Matter just as much.
Fuck you, coworker. You’re a coward for not even looking me in the eye when I explained how your view was wrong. You’re a coward for bringing this up and then immediately changing the subject when you realized you wouldn’t get away with it.
Anyway does anyone know where I can buy a BLM hoodie that directly supports the movement so I can wear it around the office.

PS Week Day 2 - Rivalry
Undefeated?
THE COOL late winter breeze stung at Ash a bit when he walked across Cerulean City to reach the Gym.  He thought the new look of the place was interesting since the last time he’d been to it.  He’d been looking forward to reuniting with Misty.  Last time he saw her in person was prior to his first Battle Frontier match that was years ago when they were still teens.  The reunion quickly fell downhill.
“There’s no way,” said Ash, feeling slightly exasperated.  “Twenty battles undefeated?”
“You better believe it.  I always knew I was going to become a great Gym Leader, and I am indeed.” Misty’s smirk deepened.  “You, on the other hand.  Teehee… Even with a Water-type you still lost to a Charizard.”
“Hey, Alain’s a tough opponent, what was I supposed to do?”
His friend “tsked” as she wagged a finger in his face.  Ash silently fumed at the gesture.  “A shame.  Five to six regions worth of experience and you still lost a basic type matchup.”
“Pretty sure he’s strong enough to give you a hard time.”
“A loss is a loss, no matter how you spin it – and when you had the advantage, too.  Oh, the humanity...”
“I think you’ll recall that I beat Gary’s Blastoise with Charizard…”
“…Some Trainers just don’t have the skill to overcome disadvantages,” went on Misty as though Ash hadn’t interrupted her.  “With that in mind, you’re probably a ways away from becoming a Pokémon Master.”
“Why you…!”  Luckily, Pikachu quickly tapped on Ash’s head, trying to calm him down.  He sneered at the Cerulean Gym Leader as he briefly hyperventilated.  “Fine,” he seethed as he reached for a Poké Ball.  “You and me. A three-on-three battle – best two out of three wins.”
Misty glanced at him through one eye.  “Yeah… No thanks.  I just won ten battles in a row,” she said, as Ash gaped in disappointment and frustration, “so me and my Pokémon are exhausted – and I’d rather not waste my challengers’ time battling you.  Oh, I know – whoever can win the most battles in two weeks is the best Trainer.”
“You got yourself a deal,” said Ash crossly, a fire ignited in his soul.  “Just you wait.  I’ll show you.”
“Pika, Pikachu!” Pikachu mimicked with equal vigor.
The orange-haired Gym Leader tutted.  “I wish you luck in beating me.”
OoOoO
With no knowledge of any region he’d never heard of to travel, Ash found himself staying home in Kanto.  Not that he minded but it was very easy for him to get antsy and restless.  He’d already taken to visiting local battling grounds as often as he could to hone his skills, so Misty’s challenge was a natural evolution.
However, it seemed to Ash that the rookie Trainers of today were a far cry ahead of him in skill and smarts than ever before.
“Swellow, Double Team, go!” yelled Ash.  He was already four losses in, no way he should lose this one…
“Now, Espeon, use Swift!”  Ash clenched his teeth, Swift never misses… Swellow was knocked out of the air and was struggling to realign himself.  “Dazzling Gleam, now!”  It was over for Swellow, who was declared unable to battle.
OoOoO
“Oh?  Fancy running into you here. Ash,” greeted Misty later that day in a café.  Ash wasn’t pleased to see her and took it out by squeezing a napkin and biting his blueberry muffin aggressively.  Seeing her after his loses wasn’t a good thing.
“Yeah, an awful coincidence…” he replied.
“How’s your win-to-loss ratio…?”  When Ash didn’t reply, Misty felt emboldened to tease. “Aw!  That bad, is it?  My, my...”
“I’ll get my winning streak back!  Just out of practice, that’s all!” he snapped.  Pikachu flinched slightly from his Trainer’s outburst.
“The battle cry of someone who seems to be losing. I saw you exiting the Pokémon Center, so don’t deny it.”
Ash froze for a second when he heard that before adjusting his frown.  “Oh yeah, well, how’re your wins and loses going?”
“W-well, they’re doing just fine.”  She put her hands on her hips and leaned down, smirking. “Not that I’ll tell.  I wouldn’t dream of dashing all hope away from you…”
She walked away to the register, satisfied. Ash fumed when she left.  “Damn her…”
OoOoO
“Cha…”  Pikachu staggered, trying to keep it together.  He couldn’t let Ash down but the Tauros he was fighting was strong.
           “Tauros, Zen Headbutt again!”
           “Iron Tail, Pikachu!”
With his natural strength, Pikachu easily sent the Wild Bull Pokémon flying but all was not well.
           “Now, Thunderbolt!”
“Blizzard, go!”  The two attacks collided.  Pikachu shuddered, it hurt, it hurt a lot.  While both fell in the end, it was Pikachu who fell first for a solid few seconds.
Ash sighed as he held his injured starter and couldn’t help but feel annoyed with himself.  It felt like every battle he won, he’d lose three times, and the number of ties was ridiculous.
“Why am I even trying so hard…?” he muttered to himself.  He refused to just let Misty laugh at him and his hard work; but loses were loses, he knew that.  He just knew that he couldn’t let her look down on him.  He could accept loses, the need to improve, but Misty somehow made him blind to all of that.
The two weeks eventually passed and Ash returned begrudgingly to Cerulean City’s Gym.
“A bet’s a bet, Ash.  What’s your score?” asked Misty in the lobby room.
Ash’s lips turned into a pout as he silently fumed with his head low and his eyes looking aimlessly off to the side.  “Sixty battles, I only won twenty of ‘em…”
“Damn, isn’t that something!” guffawed Misty.  “Ah well, can’t them all, I guess,” she added with a wink.  Ash didn’t find it funny.  “Well, if you were battling that much, I can’t imagine your Pokémon were getting that much rest between battles.  Small wonder you lost as many times as you did.”
“Lay off me, I kept my Pokémon in rotation.  What about you?”
“Well, I did forty-five battles and won forty-two of them!”
“Damn!” said Ash furiously under his breath.
“Um – like – why’re you lying?” said a new voice.  Both Ash and Misty turned to look at Daisy who had walked in unbeknownst to them.
“Lying?”  Ash raised an eyebrow.  He didn’t see Misty beginning to sweat.
“Yeah.  Mist, that’s a lie and you know it,” said Daisy cheerfully.  “You lost forty-two matches, two of which were rematches. Three Trainers lost to her last Pokémon today and yesterday and have yet to have their rematches.  Girl, like, you’ve been handing out Cascade Badges like they’re lobby candies!”
Ash glared at Misty as the girl paled and withered away from his look.  “You…lied to me…” said Ash, growing angry.
“Well, er, it kinda makes sense,” said Misty, as she composed herself and tried to act like nothing had happened.  “Trainers are usually coming to me from Professor Oak’s, I’m only the second Gym Leader they’d encounter.”
“And besides,” Daisy chipped-in, “if she was a tough to – what was it?  Do twenty battles undefeated?  Boy, if she could do those without rematches there’d be no one competing in the Pokémon League!  Did you actually believe her when she said that?  Jeez, there’d be no League at all if that were true.”
Now Ash really was cross.  He turned around red in the face from embarrassment and fury.  Misty just gave a chuckle and knocked herself on the head with a wink.
“My bad!  It’s true. I’m supposed to be tough but given that most Trainers are coming to me with one Gym Badge I can’t be too hard on them.  Yet you still believed my little lie?” she said sweetly
Anger boiled within him – he was literally shaking with it. Letting it boil over, however, was exactly what she wanted, and he refused to give her the satisfaction. “You know what?” said Ash eventually. His red face giving way to a very deadpanned look.  “I’m out.”
With his fists curled to hold in his boiling temper, Ash swiftly turned on his heels and went right for the door.
“Ash, wait!” yelled Misty running.  “Oh, come on!  It was just a fib.”
“Nope,” he replied.  Continually walking even as Misty tried to hold him back with her hands clutching one of his.
“Aw!  Just forget about it!  A joke, an honest joke!  Or…maybe you’re just unable to take one?” she added coyly.
“I’ll laugh when it’s funny.”
“I’ll buy you an ice cream cone, big baby.”
“No thanks.”
“Okay, then.  Guess you can’t eat a whole sundae like I can.”
“You wish!” said Ash as he whipped around.  “I can easily put one away.”
“I’d like to see you try,” taunted Misty.
“Grr… Right, you’re on!  I could get their first, anyway!”  And without another word Ash strode out of the Gym toward the ice cream parlor.
“I’d like to see you try!” called Misty as she ran after him. Pikachu just sighed, it was going to be a long, long day…
OoOoO
Author’s Note: I can’t lie, I’m not too sure how this one turned out.  I finished this up after having a drink so I don’t know if this as good as I think it is. That’s the problem with writing, you can think of a good ending but actually executing it is a whole other matter…

Osamu
Tumblr media
You sighed happily as you settled into your seat, getting ready for take off. Going home to Osamu after a two week business trip was the only thing on your mind, wanting nothing more than to run back home and into your boyfriend’s arms. Two more hours, and you would be in his warm embrace once again.
Little did you know while you fantasized about returning home to your first love, he was indulging in another, lowly moaning out their name, pushing the thought of you to the back of his head.
It wasn’t until you ran into Osamu’s arms at the airport did he start to feel the guilt creeping up from his infidelity. He knew it was wrong, to try and physically replace you for the time being. Osamu just missed your touch, seeking comfort any way he could. Seeing your burning smile, he decided he would never tell you. You were the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, and telling you of what happened would ensure that you would never be his again.
Once the two of you arrived back at your shared apartment, you immediately plopped down on your bed, exhausted from traveling. Osamu chuckled as he came behind you, laying down next to you, pulling you into his arms.
“How was your trip, baby?” Osamu mumbled into your hair.
“It was okay, I just mostly missed you the whole time,” you replied, snuggling into his chest. A pang of guilt hit Osamu once again. You had missed him as much as he missed you, yet all you could think about was waiting until you got home to him while he had given into his urges.
Seeing Osamu visibly troubled, you asked him, “I think the real question is if you’re alright, Samu.”
Startled, he quickly came up with a cover up, “Yeah, just tired from running the shop, same ‘ole things,” he sighed out.
Giggling, you got up, pushing Osamu to roll onto his stomach, straddling his lower back.
Chuckling along with you, Osamu asked, “What are you doing, babe?”
“Giving you a massage, duh? My poor boyfriend has been working so hard while I was gone. It’s only right to give him a massage as the best girlfriend in the world,” you joked, rubbing his shoulders.
“You don’t have to give me a massage to be the best girlfriend in the world, you’re already the best without trying,” Osamu chuckled into the mattress.
Rolling your eyes, you replied, “Stop complaining, Samu. Let me have an excuse to touch your muscles.” You started moving your hands lower on his back, lightly rubbing as you went down. Worried filled your features as Osamu let out a small hiss as your hands moved lower.
“What’s wrong, does it hurt there?” You asked, beginning to lift up his shirt. Panic flashed through Osamu as he realized his escapade must’ve left scratch marks on his back, quickly flipping you two around.
“It’s nothing, babe. C’mon, let’s go start preparing dinner,” Osamu nervously let out, hoping you would go along with his lie. He knew he hadn’t fooled you.
“Lift up your shirt, Samu, let me see,” worry evident on your face. You thought he had maybe gotten hurt at work, wanting to see the damage.
“Y/n, stop, it’s fine,” Osamu stated, his tone turning more pleading. You grew more and more suspicious. Why was he getting so defensive?
“Osamu, take your shirt off,” You said, standing up, crossing your arms. Osamu gulped, knowing you were getting serious using his full name.
“It’s fine, really, let’s just go get dinner, we can worry about my back later,” Osamu tried to divert your attention, hoping his final attempt would work. You didn’t buy it.
“I’m starting to think you’re hiding something from me, Samu,” you shot back, wondering what had him so adamant to not show you, “take your shirt off right now or I’m sleeping in the guest room tonight,” you threatened, hoping it would make him give in.
“I'll show you after dinner babe, let’s go,” Osamu said, standing up, walking to the door. Sighing, you gave in, following him out. Halfway to the kitchen, however, you grabbed the bottom of his shirt, lifting it up.
Your heart dropped at the sight.
No wonder this bastard didn’t want to show you.
Startled, Osamu whirled around, eyes wide as if he were a deer caught in headlights. Words began tumbling from his mouth.
“Wait, y/n, I know how it looks, but let me explain, please,” Osamu reached out to you, hurt flashing across his face when you flinched away from him.
“Don’t touch me, you cheating bastard,” You seethed out, eyes burning with a mixture of hurt and hatred, “I’m gone for two weeks and you go and fuck someone else?”
“No, y/n, please! I just missed you too much, but no one could ever replace you! I love you, y/n please!” Osamu continued pleading, eyes growing glassy at the thought of you leaving him.
“Oh shut up, Osamu. You’re not the only one in this relationship. Do you not think I missed you too? I wanted to be with you every second I was gone, but I didn’t go fuck someone else while I was gone,” you yelled out, tears welling up in your eyes.
Osamu walked closer to you, reaching out to you again, “I know, y/n, I fucked up, but please, we can work this out, you’re the only one for me-”
A loud smack sounded in the room as the sting settled on Osamu’s cheek. You began walking towards him, anger seething, “I’m the only one for you, huh? Tell me, Miya, did you fuck them right here? Did you fuck them on our bed?” An indescribable pain seared through Osamu at the use of his last name. Not giving him a chance to reply, you continued, “Or did you fuck them on our couch, the kitchen counter perhaps? You disgusting asshole!” You spat out the last word.
Osamu opened his mouth to reply, but nothing came out. Tears flowed freely down both of your faces, both equally hurting.
“Please, y/n, I’ll do anything to make it up to you!” Osamu began sobbing. Darkly chuckling, you replied, “Do anything for me? How about you pack your shit and get the fuck out, Miya.” Osamu’s heart clenched, knowing he thoroughly fucked up.
“I can’t lose you, y/n. You mean everything to me. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, please don’t do this,” Osamu’s mind ran wild, not being able to handle you leaving him.
“Fine, if you won’t leave, I will,” you started for the bedroom, grabbing your suitcase you had yet to unpack from your trip along with your essentials. Osamu felt his world crumble around him as you brushed past him, walking towards the apartment door. He ran after you, grabbing your wrist as you were about to open the door.
Osamu’s eyes widened with shock as you whirled around, wrenching your wrist out of his hand.
“Don’t you dare fucking touch me, Miya Osamu. Don’t you dare tell me you fucking love me, and don’t you dare try to tell me you wanted to spend the rest of you life with me,” you spat out, “because if you truly meant any of those things, you wouldn’t have fucked someone else while I was away, worrying if you were sleeping and eating properly, wondering if you were tired after running the shop.”
Osamu wanted the ground to swallow him whole. He crumpled as he watched the person he loved with his whole heart stare back at him with nothing but hatred in their eyes.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered out, not able to meet your eyes. Osamu never got a reply, the only sound he was met with was the door opening and slamming shut.

The shrill tone of your cell phone ringing woke you up with a jolt. Groaning, you reached over to your bedside table, patting around for the familiar object. You rolled over to see the name ‘kawa (つω`●)’ flashing on your screen.
“What do you want, Oikawa,” you groaned into the phone.
“Y/n-chan, that’s no way to say good morning,” you could hear Oikawa pout through the phone. You looked over at your alarm clock, mentally cursing the setter for waking you up at 7:00am on a weekend.
“It’s too early for this,” you joked into the phone, “what did you need me for?”
“Y/n-chan, I have something I need to tell you,” Oikawa’s tone suddenly turned serious.
“What is it? It better be worth it,” you playfully teased, not catching onto Oikawa’s tone.
“It’s about Iwa-chan. I think it’s best if I tell you in person. Can we meet for lunch?” Oikawa asked. Curiosity and worry filled your mind as soon as the setter mentioned your boyfriend’s name. He was currently out playing with volleyball with his old high school friends.
Immediately sitting up, you ask, “Is he okay? He didn’t get hurt right? Aren’t you with him right now?”
“Well- he’s hurt, but not in the way you’re thinking. It’s just- let’s meet at lunch okay?” Oikawa sighed into the phone. After agreeing on a time and place, you get up, ready to start your day. You were excited about meeting Oikawa for lunch. The two of you grew close in high school, and he was the reason you were introduced to Iwazumi. You haven’t seen him in a while, only keeping in contact through occasional texts while he was in Argentina.
Soon enough, lunch time rolled around, and you were seated at a small cafe, waiting for the setter to show up. You wondered what he had to tell you, and what he meant by Iwa being hurt.
A cheerful “y/n-chan!” broke you out of your thoughts. Looking up, you saw Oikawa’s smiling face, although his eyes held a different emotion you couldn’t decipher.
“Kawa!” You got up to embrace him, “It’s so good to see you again!”
“I knew you’d miss me too much,” Oikawa teased, causing you to lightly push his shoulder as you chuckled.
“So what’d you need to talk to me about?” you asked as the two of you sat down. Oikawa’s expression immediately turned into a troubled one.
“I just want you to know, I care a lot for you, y/n, and I don’t want you getting hurt,” Oikawa started off, worrying you as he didn’t add a chan after your name.
“Yeah, of course, we’re best friends, Kawa, I only want the best for you too,” you said in confusion.
“This is a bit personal, but when was the last time you and Iwa, y’know, did it?” Oikawa sheepishly asked. You giggled at his expression.
“Hm, maybe two weeks ago? We’ve both been pretty busy lately, why do you ask?” you tilted in your head in confusion. Oikawa cursed under his breath, muttering something before looking up to you, his eyes suddenly holding a seriousness that made you shift uncomfortably.
“Look, y/n, you know how we were playing volleyball this morning?” you nodded in response. Oikawa nervously chewed on his bottom lip before continuing. “Well, while Iwa was changing, I saw he had scratch marks on his back,” pausing as he looked for a reaction. Your mind suddenly went blank.
There had to be an explanation, right? Maybe he just got hurt somehow.
“I’m only telling you this because I’ve been suspecting Iwa for a while now,” Oikawa started, “and when I asked him if you and him had a nice time last night, it was obvious he was lying when he replied to me. There’s no way he would just reply with a laugh and say yes. Usually he would have replied telling me to shut up, calling me shitty-kawa, and it just didn’t sit right with me.”
The voices around you became a blur as you processed this information. You knew for a fact you weren’t the one who put those scratch marks on your boyfriend’s back. You couldn’t believe it. Your Iwa, the Iwa that’s been with you since your second year at Seijoh, the Iwa that gave you butterflies anytime he smiled at you, the Iwa that would blush at your teasing, who held you tight on nights when everything seemed to have gone wrong, the Iwa who was always in your happiest memories.
You hadn’t realized you were crying until Oikawa hurriedly handed you some napkins.
“I’m so sorry, y/n. I would’ve never thought Iwa would cheat. We both know his personality. I’m honestly really disappointed-”
“Where is he now?” You cut off the setter, looking down at the table.
“He went to go get lunch with Makki and said he’d go home after,” Oikawa said softly, looking at you with a worried gaze. “Are you okay, y/n?”
“Y-yeah, I’ll be fine, don’t worry about it,” you gave a weak smile. Oikawa easily saw past your smile, but decided not to push any further.
“I’ll drive you home, we can grab your stuff before he comes back, and you can crash at my place for the time being,” Oikawa softly said. With no energy left for words, you silently nodded as tears continuously streamed down your face.
Oikawa wouldn’t lie to you, not about something like this. You knew that, and that’s what made it hurt more. When did he even cheat on you? Was one of his late nights at work really just an excuse to be with another lover?
You hadn’t realized you made it back to your apartment until your car door suddenly opened. Looking up, you saw Oikawa standing, offering you his hand. Feebly, you took it as you got out with shaky legs. You couldn’t help but think about all of your memories shared with Iwazumi. How he sheepishly held out his hand the same way on your first date, how the two of you walked up to your apartment after signing the rental contract.
When the two of you reached your apartment, Iwazumi was nowhere to be found. Numbly, you went to gather your essential items as Oikawa began packing a small bag of your clothes to take. After you finished packing, you took a look at your apartment. A sob escaped your mouth as you looked around, only seeing the memories of you and Iwazumi. Tickle fights on the couch, countless nights cooking together in the kitchen, the late night movie and cuddle sessions.
“C’mon y/n-chan, let’s-” Oikawa’s voice was cut off by the sound of the door opening. You whipped around to see Iwazumi standing in the doorway, face filled with confusion.
“Kawa? What are you doing here? Why are you- y/n? What’s going on?” Iwa walked closer to you. “What happened, baby? Why have you been crying?” Iwa reached out to cup your face, hurt spreading on his features as you moved away from him.
“Turn around,” you stated.
“Wh-what, why? What’s happening?” Iwazumi’s eyebrows furrowed.
“Iwazumi, turn around right now,” you stated as even more hurt and confusion spread on the spiker’s face at the use of his full name. Slowly he turned around, not understanding the situation. Your hand trembled as you reached out for the hem of his shirt, only for your heart to be shattered as soon as you lifted his shirt. Red, angry marks ran down the length of his back.
Realizing the situation, your boyfriend turned around, guilt and worry evident in his eyes.
“Y/n,” he breathed out, “wait let-”
“Shut up. Stop talking,” you calmly stated, eyes hardening. Honestly, your calmness scared Iwazumi the most.
“Baby, please, wait, don’t leave. Let’s unpack your stuff and talk this through,” Iwazumi pleaded, eyes filling with tears as they darted to glance at the bags you and Oikawa were carrying. He needed to tell you it was all a drunken mistake, that he planned on proposing to you the coming week. You were his everything, he couldn’t let you go.
“I can’t believe,” you started, voice shaking, “you were willing to throw six years of memories down the drain.” Tears falling from your eyes.
“Am I that worthless to you, Iwazumi? Are our memories not enough for you? Am I not enough?” you quietly sobbed. Iwazumi’s heart clenched at your words. How could you think that? You were his whole world, his perfect match. Every moment with you was pure bliss to him, couldn’t you tell? Could you not tell that he would be completely lost without you?
“Y/n, no! That’s not it at all! Let me explain-”
Iwa made his way towards your sobbing figure before he was stopped.
“Get out of my way, Kawa, this isn’t any of your business,” Iwa snapped, eyes still trained on you as he desperately tried to reach you.
“No, it is my business. You hurt my best friend, Iwa-chan. I can’t let you continue hurting them.” Oikawa stated firmly.
“Get out of the way before I punch your pretty face, Kawa,” Iwa seethed. He needed to get to you before you got to the door, before you walked out of his life forever.
“Stop it, Iwa! You made a choice, and now you have to live with that decision for the rest of your life!” Oikawa raised his voice, his anger seeping through his words.
Iwazumi’s eyes finally met Oikawas. The setter could see the pain and regret in his friend’s eyes clear as day, only confusing him more. He could tell you meant everything to the spiker standing in front of him, so why did he do it? Why did he betray your trust?
Still staring at Iwazumi, Oikawa called out to you, “Let’s go, y/n.” Iwazumi’s gaze flickered to you, resolve crumpling as he truly took in your appearance. You looked so broken, hurt written all over your face. He was the reason you looked like that. He was the cause of all your pain.
“Please, y/n. Don’t leave me. I can’t do this without you,” Iwazumi’s voice cracked as you looked at you with pleading eyes, tears cascading down his face.
“I can’t, Iwazumi. It hurts so much,” you sobbed, turning around and walking out of the apartment.
All the life drained out of Iwazumi as he crumpled onto the floor muttering out a string of “I’m sorry”s. Oikawa cast one more glance at his best friends figure, whispering, “What happened to you, Iwa-chan?”
That night, two of Iwazumi’s best friends walked out of his life, never coming back.

Number 2 for the puzzleshipping drable but in a fun way where one of them does something stupid^.^
Ooooo, a very nice one, thank you <3
2- "Have you lost your damn mind?"
Canon kind of made sense for this one I think. Enjoy!
.................
He could feel Yugi pushing against his consciousness, trying to force control and push him back to the Puzzle but he held strong.
“I accept your terms.” He said.
The pushing became more insistent, urgent, and he could hear his partner shouting at him to stop, but he was enjoying this way too much. Yugi was squirming and he wasn’t about to stop when he was having so much fun.
“You’re really willing to bet your deck, your reputation, on this?” Kaiba scoffed and shrugged. “I didn’t think you’d go for it but sure, it’s fine by me.”
“I’ve wagered greater things than this on games, Kaiba.” Yami said confidently as he set his deck on the screen in front of him.
Yugi appeared beside him, a frantic look on his face.
‘What are you doing?’ He asked.
Yami shrugged and drew his starting hand. Yugi glared at him.
‘Realy? You’re not even going to explain yourself?’
“All in good time.” Yami said quietly as he watched Kaiba make his moves.
‘What the hell does that even mean?’
“You’ll find out later.” He said, quietly again as he started his turn.
Yugi disappeared with an annoyed sigh and Yami tried to ignore the way he could feel his partner seething inside the Puzzle.
He was having too much fun to care about the consequences. Not that there would be any, Yugi was far too nice for that.
Yami laughed when he heard a distant curse echo in the back of his mind. Aside from the odd wave of irritation though, Yugi left him to duel without distraction.
He won. Obviously.
Yami invited Yugi to take control on the walk home but his partner ignored him. Although it was uncommon for Yugi to be so childish, Yami was beginning to feel guilt.
Maybe he had done something he shouldn’t have. Maybe this was the time Yugi finally got angry at him.
The thought brought a frown to his face and he picked up his pace, getting back to Yugi's home quickly, declining dinner on account of having homework to do and heading straight to Yugi's room where he shut the door and called his partner.
There was no response though and he sighed, crossing the room to lay on the bed before sinking into the Puzzle to find Yugi.
The door to Yugi's soul room was ajar, as always, but he couldn’t shake the feeling that he’d done something wrong as he slowly pushed the door open further.
Yugi was sitting on his bed, looking at him as if he’d been waiting for Yami to join him… Of course he knew Yami would come to him, he always did.
He stepped into the room but before he could speak Yugi stood up and fixed him with a furious stare.
“Have you lost your damn mind?” He asked loudly and Yami was caught off guard by the volume of Yugi's soft voice.
“What?” Yami said, “I was just doing what you wanted me to…”
“Yeah, but the bets?” Yugi sighed, his voice quieter now, his eyes soft. “How are you so confident?”
Ah. That’s what this was about.
Yami understood now.
He smiled softly and walked forward, holding his hands out in front of him to Yugi. His partner looked back at him for a moment before taking the hands offered, letting out a surprised noise as he was pulled forward into a hug.
Yami ran a hand through Yugi's hair, holding him tight and smiling when he felt Yugi return the hug easily.
“I’m not better than you.” He said quietly. “We each have our ways of dealing with things, our strengths and weaknesses.”
“Yeah but I-”
“Am not lesser than anyone.” Yami said softly, sliding a hand to Yugi's cheek and gently tilting his face up, looking into Yugi's eyes and smiling. “You’re perfect just the way you are.”
Yugi gave him a small smile, leaning forward to rest his head against Yamis.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to be mad at you.” Yugi said quietly, closing his eyes and sighing happily.
“You had every right.” Yami said, pressing a kiss to the tip of Yugi's nose. “I’m sorry for betting more than you were willing to.”
“It’s alright.” Yugi smiled as he opened his eyes again, tilting his head up a little more so his lips brushed against Yamis. “I’m sure you can make it up to me.”
Yami laughed softly as he pressed his lips to Yugis. He was sure he could do that.

Mini-Tony
For: @friendly-neighborhood-exchange
Gifted to: @floweryfran
Warnings: none?
-
“Tones, drop the act.” Rhodey ordered vaguely, storming into the lab as if he owned the place.
“What act?” Tony asked, less confused and more dismissive about the assertion that he would dare put up an act. That would take a lot of work he didn’t want to put in. The man kind of had a planet to constantly defend, you know.
Rhodey sighed, sitting down and putting on his serious face. “We all know you cloned yourself.” He spoke.
At the moment, Tony thought it had been a joke, since it so obviously had to be. But, his friend only continued until it all became far too alarming for Tony to ignore.
“I mean, really, Tony? This is a major federal crime! You know you could get the FBI called on you for this? Why would you be so reckless? How could you? It’s... it’s mad! You’ve really lost it, man. Come on, just let it go!”
Tony stared at his former MIT roommate, dazed and confused as he contemplated the sanity of the man before him. What was Rhodey on?
“Okay,” he began, “not entirely sure how I’m supposed to break this to you, but I have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.”
In a shock, Rhodey’s body twitched, a visceral reaction to what Tony saw as a completely normal response to being accused of human cloning. “You... you didn’t clone yourself?” He questioned idiotically.
“No, I didn’t fucking clone myself!” Tony relented as he began to sardonically laugh, “What would make you honestly believe that I would do such a thing?”
At that, his friend went quiet. Tony watched the shy blush creep onto Rhodey’s cheeks, a deep and red tint running down his neck like a historically accurate thanksgiving. The colonel’s brown eyes looked up into the sky, as if searching for a way out of the situation on the celling.
Abruptly, he mumbled something incoherent under his breath.
“What?” The billionaire in the room tentatively asked, still laughing at the absurdity of the situation. Was he okay?
“Peter...” Rhodey murmured again, now audible, whether he wanted to be or not. That’s it, Tony thought, he’s lost it.
“Did... did you say Peter?” He asked again, more to himself than the other man. There was no way, absolutions no way, that Rhodey had actually just said the kid’s name.
“Yes! Peter, okay?”
Tony stood, shell shocked. “What... what does m-the kid have to do with you accusing me of breaking federal law and cloning myself in my private lab without shame?”
“It’s just- god it sounds so stupid now- he’s like... a mini-Tony.” Rhodey relented, his blush deepening quickly under the scrutinizing gaze of his best friend.
“A mini-Tony?” The man repeated, monotonic and blank in the face.
“Yes!” Rhodey shouted, “Stop tormenting me, you doofus. It’s a perfectly reasonable concern.” At the zenith of his mockery, Tony dies down, suddenly more interested in the how.
“You... you noticed that the kid and I have a few vague similarities and decided it meant I had cloned myself? Are you okay?” He asked.
Rhodey gasped, and initiated a debate nor mortal could ever be prepared to wage.
“It is not a few vague similarities and you know it! He’s exactly like you. The curly brown hair, the deep eyes, the general figure, the-”
“You’re describing every American male of Italian descent within a five-hundred mile radius.”
“It’s not just the looks, though. He acts just like you! I mean, his IQ has to be-”
“If you dare accuse my intellect of being equal to that of a sixteen year old child I am going to lose it.”
“Oh, stop being so grumpy about it! You know I’m right.”
“Boss,” FRIDAY finally interrupted, saving them from their fall from grace over such a trivial disagreement, “It appears that Captain Rogers is attempting to enter the lab. Should I approve him access or would you prefer some mid-afternoon entertainment by allowing him to attempt to break the cap-proof glass?”
“Eh, let him in.” Tony motioned, watching as the sleek, modern doors of the lab slid open to reveal a red-faced Captain America.
The man almost seemed... livid? Loathsome? Whatever emotion it was, it wasn’t good. “Old man probably broke his hip or something if he’s this interested in getting into my one room of peace and quiet.”
Steve entered, snarling in his elderly fashion. “Tony, I’m going to ask this once and pray to mother Mary that your answer is a resounding no.” “Ooooo, threatening. What’s up, buttercup?” Tony jested, a resoundingly low-effort reaction as the genius felt as though he no longer could be phased by his teammates’ quarrels.
“Did you give Sam my shield?” Steve asked, his eyebrows quirking subjectively.
Tony was confused. “What? No. Why would I give Sam your... oh god.” Suddenly, all at once, pieces in Tony’s mind began to place themselves together in one all too real puzzle of comprehension.
Steve grew worried at his own lack of context, as Rhodey followed suit in the paranoia. “What? What did you do, Tony?”
The man squeaked. “I- I think the kid might have done it.”
And that was it, he’d sealed his fate in Rhodey’s eyes. The other man began to seethe, smoke nearly bellowing out of his ears as his chance at glory was redeemed.
“DO YOU SEE WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT, TONY? DO YOU?”
“He said he wanted to play a prank, he didn’t say anything about giving Capsicle over there’s shield to the one person that would almost definitely try to destroy it for fun.” Tony shrugged, hoping to move the attention away from himself for the moment being.
Steve looked estranged. “Wait- what were you talking about?” “The kid!” Rhodey earned him in, “Isn’t he just like Tony? It’s like he cloned himself!” “I didn’t fucking clone myself, platypus.” Tony interrupted, only to be cut off by an extra presence in the room.
“Hey guys, what’s going on?” Peter asked, jovial as ever in his youthful stride. Of course, that didn’t last too long, as the boy was quickly stopped dead in his tracks by an onslaught of demands.
“Did you give my shield to Sam?”
“What’s your IQ, kid?”
“Pete, run!”
Peter stood still, confused and dazed by the screaming in his face. “Oooookkkaaayyyyyy. I’m gonna take this as my sign to kindly remove myself from the situ-”
“No! No you don’t, Parker.” Rhodey interjected, “You’re gonna entertain us for a little while, alright?”
Peter’s eyes grew wide. “Mr. Colonel Rhodes Sir, I have no idea why I’m being interrogated but if this is about the shield thing I can-”
“No, no, Peter. We just want to talk.” Rhodey said, unconvincingly, “Come on, sit down. It’ll be fun, some nice little bonding time with the newest addition to the team.”
Peter looked back to his mentor for support, only to find a blank face of fear and desperation. He knew there was no escape. “Okay.” The teen agreed.
“Great, now, where are you thinking about attending college?”
“What?” Peter asked.
Tony shrugged his shoulders at it all. “Just answer their questions, Pete. He won’t give up.”
Peter quickly accepted that as as much of an explanation as he was going to get any time soon, and lamented. “Uhhh MIT?”
“Good, good. And how’s your sleep schedule?” Rhodey continued.
Peter scoffed. “It’s there, I guess.”
Steve’s eyes began to grow. Oh god, Tony thought, he’s being indoctrinated. Rhodey kept it up. “Vague. I like it. Do you have any friends at school?
Peter made an off kilter face at that. “Just my best friend, Ned, and my girlfriend. I’m not much of a people person.”
“And you’re an orphan, right?”
Suddenly, Peter grew completely tense, obviously uncomfortable with the question. “Woah, dude. Not cool.”
“It’s not personal, I’m just curious.” Rhodey quelled, “You can not answer if that’s more comfortable.”
Peter calmed a bit at that. “No, no, no, no, no. I’m fine, it’s just- yeah. Yeah. I’m an orphan. Whatever. Keep going.”
Rhodey leaned in on the new path of questioning. “And what all do you know about that- the murder, that is?”
Peter laughed a little, switching into a jokind manner. “Is this a police thing? Do you think I killed my parents?” “If I give you context, it will sway your answers.” Rhodey joked back, but he wasn’t joking.
“Plane crash.” Peter said. “Some kind of set up. The- uh- SHIELD people said it was HYDRA but that’s still sort of up in the air. Cold case and all.”
“Okay, thank you. And what about-”
“Nope, stop torturing him.” Tony interrupted, “Kid, run for it.”
Peter laughed as he got up and began to walk away from the colonel. “I’m still so confused.” He expressed.
Tony felt like it was necessary to key the boy into the situation. “Rhodey over there that thinks I cloned myself and that you’re secretly an illegal recreation of my DNA sequences.” He explained.
At that, Peter looked the other man over, before leaning in towards his mentor to quietly whisper “Is... is he okay?”
Tony breathed out in relief at the boy’s nonchalance. “I have no idea.”
Steve caught into the conversation, adding his own two cents. “For the record, I’m on Rhodes’ side now. You too are the same person.”
“He’s sixteen!” Tony complained:
“Yeah!” The boy agreed, quick as lighting, almost as if by reflex. “And he’s, like, thirty.” “Oh, god, I am so happy you just called me thirty.” Tony gasped.
Rhodey mused in his small sextor of the complete bliss one should find when faced witn a minor victory. “Point is, same person.”
Tony rolled his eyes. “You two are exhausting. I had one night stands back in my partying days that had more sense than you guys do. Come on, Peter, let’s go get ice cream.”
“Can we get Burger King, instead?” The teenager chirped.
The man perked up at the notion. “I love Burger King!” “Yes! Let’s go, Mr. Stark, I have no idea what they’re talking about.”
“Polar opposites, you and me.”
“Yep! Polar opposites!”

Congratulations!! Could I get a "When did you fall out of love with me" and Tommy Shelby?
Thank you!! This broke my heart, but I loved writing it! And thank you for waiting for me to get this out! 💛
oOoOo
Arrow House felt so cold and empty nowadays. Although some member of the staff always seemed to be bustling around, you couldn’t help but feel exceptionally lonely. Empty beds, lonely meals, and endless silence were what filled your days. Even when Tommy was in the house, it felt as though he was miles away from you.
"When did you fall out of love with me?" you asked, voice shaky and barely above a whisper as you stared at Tommy, consumed by the paperwork in his office.
At your words, Tommy’s head snapped up, and he properly looked at you for the first time in days. He noticed your dressing gown wrapped tightly around your body, the solemn expression on your lips, and the dimness that had overtaken your eyes.
"What are you talking about?" Tommy sighed as pinched the bridge of his nose.
A laugh escaped your lips and you shook your head. "Are you that blind, Tommy?"
"Look, y/n, I've got a lot of work to do tonight, and I don't feel like playing games. So if you've got something to say, just say it." he snapped, throwing his glasses onto his desk.
Startled by the snark in his words, you unconsciously took a step back to keep the distance between you and your husband. "I'm talking about the fact that I haven't seen you in days. Not to mention that I can't remember the last time we had a fucking conversation." you seethed, finally letting your anger bubble over.
"I'm a busy man, and you know that. I'm sorry that I can't play 'house' with you every second of the day. You do know that it's my work that pays for the house, the dresses, and the jewels that you've become so accustomed to." Tommy threw at you, staring you down from across his desk.
His words stung your heart and you struggled to keep the tears at bay. After so many years together, was that really what Tommy thought of you? That you would be mad if all your riches disappeared even when you had married him with a twine ring and almost nothing to his name. It was a low blow, and even Tommy knew it after he processed what he had said.
"You know what? Fuck you, Thomas." your voice suddenly stone cold. "I hope you wake up one day and realize what it was exactly that you let slip away." you spat, sparing one final glare to your husband before you walked out, slamming the door behind you.

Chapter 6 of Possible-y Utah
Chapter 6 - Pool Party II She rolled up the belted overalls and her white croptop in a ball with the sneakers on top and put them on the sofa.
"You got anything to drink, Monique?" Kim asked.
"Some soda, juice, or milk, Kim. Mom's got it all laid out." Monique said, pointing to the refreshments.
Kim got herself a diet soda and headed on outside to soak up the sun's rays. She closed her eyes and laid down face first on the pool chair.
(25 minutes later)
After getting a good slight tan, Ron came up to her seat.
"Hey, KP! You're missing out on the fun!" he exclaimed.
As it turned out, he added goggles, an inner tube, and flippers to his feet.
"Ron..." Kim groaned, "...Monique's pool is big, but we aren't at the beach this summer yet!"
"I wanna soak it all in!" he replied, "Even Rufus is getting in on the act!"
Rufus giggled and put on his small goggles over his beady eyes.
"Rufus?! Is he going to go off the diving board in the deep end?" she questioned. Kim pointed to the deep half of Monique's pool that was at least 12 feet deep. That area had a diving board and slide.
"You bet your Nacos that he is, KP!" Ron grinned.
"That's so him!" Kim chuckled.
"So what do you think is going to happen in our senior year?" Ron then questioned.
"You know what? It is a really big question!" Kim exclaimed. "Considering that we're going to get a lot of our starters back on the football team for the upcoming season, we could make it all the way to State."
"Aww...man!" Ron complained, "My arms are sooo tired from last season!"
It was a longstanding tradition at Middleton High since the 1960s that the Mad Dog mascot must perform pushups on all the points the Mad Dog football team has scored through the course of a game.
"Ron, you need to do this for the team!" Kim insisted, "We need that edge after our Mad Dog football team got eliminated in the second round of the playoffs."
Ron took a deep breath and said, "The pushups are one tradition of the Mad Dog that I wish that can do without...but since you are my BFGF, I am going to do them in your honor!"
"Thank you, Ron, for the support!" Kim replied with a smile before turning her entire body around. "Oh and also, can you rub the sunscreen on my back? I don't want to get a really nasty sunburn!"
"Much obliged, KP!" Ron said in grabbing the sunscreen from the bag. He took out the sunscreen, squirted it a few times, and began to rub his girlfriend's back.
A familiar snarky voice came upon Monique's backyard.
"Out of my way, everyone! The Queen B is here!"
"Oh no..." she muttered, "Not now...please not now"
Bonnie then opened up the gate to the backyard, and she was in a two-piece bathing suit that accentated her figure. However, she wasn't the only one with her.
Another girl also came through the gate. She had blonde hair, light green eyes that were covered by her oversized sunglasses, and, like Bonnie, was in a bikini. The thing that attracted people most was the jewelry with solid gold hoop earrings, four bangles, five rings. She also had her nose and both ears pierced.
"What do you want this time, Rockwaller? You're blocking my sun!" Kim snarked at the brunette.
"Just the usual, Possible! Annoying you and Stoppable like always!" Bonnie replied with a smirk, standing right in front of the sun.
"You know that you haven't been invited to the party!" Kim snarled.
"Yeah!" Ron agreed, "Party crasher!" Rufus gave a raspberry at her.
Monique turned around and saw the three arguing.
"Uh, excuse me, Bonnie, but may I remind you that you and...whomever your friend is...need to leave!" the fashionista insisted.
"But we only just got here, Monique!" Bonnie cackled. "And actually, we did receive two invites from Hope, whom emailed me the copies!"
Kim glared at Hope.
"Sorry, Kim, but Bonnie has been my friend. I just cannot say no to anything she asks me..." Hope whimpered.
"Whatever." Kim sighed at Hope before turning her attention to Bonnie. "Just don't act like a fool for at least a couple hours, Rockwaller. This is Tamara's last party before she leaves for college! And who is your new friend here?"
Bonnie snickered and loudly announced to everyone!
"Girls...and the loser Mad Dog mascot..." she decreed while Ron seethed at her.
"I present to you the newest prospective member of the Mad Dog cheer squad! Rebecca Starlet! She just recently moved from the rich upper crust of Upperton and her family owns the Starlet Oil Company which is worth about $7 billion!"
"Seven billion?!" Ron exclaimed as his jaw dropped.
"That's correct, Stoppable!" Bonnie snarked, "She's like the heiress to the comapny!"
"So that explains all the bling she has on her..." Kim muttered. "Country CB, I would guess?"
"Yep, Possible!" Bonnie replied, still grinning at the glimmer of gold all over Rebecca's body. "She only shops the finest stores and not any peasant dumps like Club Banana!"
"Only sore losers would even wear those fashions that would be dumped into the local Smarty-Mart..." Rebecca snarked before looking at Tara, "...and for those rats that only work minimum wage at the local Cow N' Chow!"
Monique gasped at what Bonnie and Rebecca said about both her and Tara. She clenched her fists, ready to punch them!.
"You take that back, girl, before I am going to pound both your faces in!"
Kim and Jessica held her back before any punches could be thrown.
"We can't fight her now, Monique! Not in public! Not now!"
Monique relented before unclenching her fists. "Someday...karma will shove you right in the face..." she muttered.
Rufus also growled at Rebecca.
"Seems like Rufus doesn't like you on first impressiosn!
"Monique, you never cease to amaze me!" Bonnie chuckled.
"Why thank you, Bonnie, for introducing me to the rest of your squad!" Rebecca replied as she removed her sunglasses. "I hope to contribute to next year's team as we root-root for the Mad Dogs! Oh, and we're going on shopping trips to the World's Richest Mall!"
Kim gasped. "Only the uber-rich visit that place!"
"That's correct...um...what's your name again?" Rebecca asked.
"The name's Kim Possible. Perhaps you have heard my name in the news?" Kim asked, huffing.
"Oh yeah, the stupid crop-top cargo-pants wearing weirdo fighting other weirdoes!" Rebecca taunted.
"I guess you got all that info from Bonnie..." Kim muttered.
"From only the very best!" Rebecca replied before looking at her Club CB watch. "Oh, goodness, look at time! We should be at the salon for our 2pm mani-pedi!"
"Yeah, the both of us would stay and love to annoy you two losers, but we got an appointment to keep!" Bonnie snarked. "Kthanksbye!"
And with that, both Bonnie and Rebecca left Monique's backyard to go to the limousine.
"Ooooo! The nerve of Bonnie to insult me and my friends like that!" Kim shrieked, "And that super-rich so-called 'friend' of hers? I only wish if all that jewelry on her turned to rust!"
"KP! Just chillax! Don't let Bonnie and her rich girl-friend get to you!" Ron replied, "You got me and Monique to hang out all summer long! Plus, we won't have Barkin to push us around for the next two and a half months!"
Kim's frustrations with her rivalry with the Queen subsided...for now.
"Thanks, Ron. I really need to get my temper with Bon in check in time for the new school year." the redhead admitted.
"That's the spirit, girl!" Monique exclaimed.
"I know you can do it, Kim. Just clear the mind off of Bonnie and be in control!" Ron replied.
"Okay, sounds good to me!" Kim said as she sat back down on the pool chair.
"Relax and soak in the summer!" Ron said with a happy sigh, "It is going to be peaceful and quiet!"

2, 3, 4, 5 (if you want too), 13, and 12 for Self Care Day. Sorry if that's a lot
Don't worry, it's not a lot! I love talking about my fics anyway <3 (Putting under read more because I love to rant lmao)
2: Do you focus on attention to detail when you read fics? Are you more or less attention to detail focused when you write fics? I try and focus on the small details for all of my fics. When I plan them out, I try and think of small details that would hint at something. This mainly leans towards my plot-heavy fics, though; my less-plot-more-fluffy-thing fics don't have too much details in them. For when I read them, I don't tend to pay attention to details lmao 😅 probably why I don't put too much details into my own fics. I think about adding these small details, but I forget or just not add said details in general. It's probably because since I don't pay attention to details in fics, I think that people won't pick up on my own lmao (I should start adding more details into my fics lol)
3: Do you have any upcoming WIPs? How far along are you with them? Oh, I have many different WIPs, but I have one specific one that I'm working on the most and am excited to get out!! It's an Obey Me fic where the brothers are cursed and swap sins <3 I also have a few other ones; most of them are Danganronpa (Kazuichi fic, a night out with the v2 boys, an Ultimate Killing Game, and a few other ideas too). Hopefully I'll get to those ideas soon, but for now, I'll be working on my Obey Me fics (I of course have other ideas for OM, but right now I'm focusing on this OM fic, and then I'll probably start working on my Dangan fics)
4: Tell me about one of your abandoned WIPs. Why did you abandon it? Oh, I have many abandoned WIPs lmao The biggest reason I abandon ideas and fics is because I loose interest. My fixations on fandoms move very quickly--I think the longest I've ever been in a fandom was like 8 months lol ^^; Most fandoms only last a few months, and seeing how I heavily procrastinate on my fics, I end up loosing interest and gain a new interest with something else. It's one of the main reason why I almost never write multi. chapter fics, and when I do, they're never finished. I quickly loose interest and can't bring myself to finish them 😅 Hopefully my Dangan fixation will last a while (idk about OM, but hopefully that'll last long too lol), so I'll be able to write all of my ideas. But I guess we'll just have to see
5: Share a snippet that you’re proud of from an upcoming fic/chapter. ooooo yes!! Okay, here's a snippet from my sin swap idea for Obey Me! ~~~ “Hey, watcha playin’ there?” [Mammon] asked, walking into the dark room. “Oh, hey Mammon,” Levi greeted, eyes glued to the screen. “Picked up a new human game for all of us to play. It lets a total of eight players, so I was thinking maybe we could all play it for game night.” “Eh? What game is it?” “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate,” he answered, trying his hardest to focus both on Mammon and on the match. “It just came out today, and I went to the human world as early as I could to make sure I got a copy.” He looked very proud of himself as he added, “I was able to get one of the last copies at the store!” Mammon hummed as he watched the screen. Levi then let out a loud whoop as the match finished, the game declaring him as the winner. “He’s cheating,” Beel muttered, putting down the controller. “Picking Kirby every single round is unfair.” “You’re just jealous over how amazing I am,” Levi said with a smirk. It looked odd in Mammon’s opinion--he’s never seen Levi with a satisfied and proud smirk on his face. Levi then let out a shriek when a controller was thrown at him. “S-Satan!” “What? I didn’t throw it,” Satan said. “Actually, I’m not that mad at all. Belphie was the one who threw the controller.” Levi looked over to Belphie, who seemed to be quietly seething. He then stood up abruptly, startling Mammon. “I’m going to my room to take a nap,” he announced, anger clear in his voice, and started to walk out. “Tell me when dinner’s done.” When he left, slamming the door behind him, the room was silent. “Seems like someone got up on the wrong side of the bed,” Mammon commented. Beel frowned and got up as well. “I’ve never seen him that angry before,” he said. “I’ll go check on him and see what’s wrong.” Once Beel had left the room, Satan put down his controller. “I suppose that’s my cue to leave as well.” “C’mon! One more round?” Levi asked. Satan looked over to his brother, making direct eye contact with him. “Levi, I am done playing your games. I’m going to go and read now,” he said. Levi stared back for a few moments, and then nodded. ~~~ I'm not proud of this per say, but I think this is the best I've got down so far. The better parts of the fic are definitely coming up soon, I just haven't written them yet (I procrastinate too much TwT)
13: Do you prefer writing multi-chapter fics or single-part fics? Do you prefer reading multi-chapter fics or single-part fics? Single part fics, definitely. For writing, anyways. I prefer that because there's a bigger chance of me actually finishing it and posting it. If it's multiple parts, that means more writing (usually), and then it's left abandoned and unfinished. For reading, I don't really mind. In the past I've preferred oneshots, but lately I've been reading longer multi. chapter fics. So I guess it just depends on what I'm in the mood for
12: Why did you choose to write Self Care Day? How long have you been working on it? I chose to write that fic because I wanted my first OM fic to be something simple and cute, and also because Levi and Asmo are my favorites, and I just wanted to write about my two favorites bonding <3 For how long I've been working on it, I'm not really sure. I'd say at the very least a month, a month and a half. I can't really remember lmao but I do take forever with writing fics. I don't have too much time to write, and I also just procrastinate a lot anyways, so it takes me forever to finish fics

VIOLENTLY bright and tacky lights were strung through the halls, spare corners and classrooms decorated with paper snowflakes and plastic Christmas trees and the general spirits of student was lifted at least thirty percent by the approaching break. Mack sighed and closed her locker, turning to face Jo as she filled her in on everything that happened when she was away.
"So who's this mystery guy that keeps coming up then?" Jo urged with a raised brown, poking Mack in the side playfully with her elbow.
"Just that. A mystery." Mack retorted, scoffing and rolling her eyes at the overly invested girl.
"A mystery, huh? Well I do love a good problem to solve." Jo teased. "If I can't know who he is, at least tell me what happened." No suggested. After a long pause to mill it over, Mack finally caved.
"Okay, so - don't freak out, but I may have slept with him." Mack all but whispered. Jo cupped her ear with her hand and said:
"What was that? I couldn't hear you." Mack chewed her bottom lips before repeating.
"I slept with him. Twice." Jo's eyes went wide.
"Twice?!" Mack but her lips and nodded. Suddenly an arm was thrown over her shoulder and Mack turned to see a grinning Kai.
"So what's this?" He asked, mock shock on his face.
"Mack finally found a way to forget Ben." Jo stated.
"Ooooo, so Kenz's finally getting some?" Mack rolled her eyes. "It's about time really, I was getting fed up with her cranking attitude and-" he cut off when Mack hit him in the shoulder and he retracted his arm, shooting her a knowing look.
"It's not like that. It was a spur of the moment kind of thing, I doubt it will happen again." She dismissed, giving Kai a warning look.
"If you say so. Hey, this is me. Catch you guys later!" Jo said as they reached her class.
"Won't happen again, huh?" Kai husked lowly in Mack's ear once Jo was gone.
"Yes. So don't try anything." Kai's mischievous grin worried Mack and before she knew it he had grabbed her hand and pulled her into Janitor's closet and pressed her against the closed door.
"Like this?" He whispered, nibbling softly at her earlobe. She put her hands on his chest and pushed Kai back slightly.
"Yes, like this."
"We have a free period, may as well use it." He shot back with arched brows. He stepped closer to her again. "I know you want to." His minty breath fanned over her face, intoxicating her further. Mack looked away, and before he could get another word in she smashed her lips to his, her arms wrapping around his neck.
Kai was taken back at first but he quickly melted into the kiss, bracing a hand on the door beside Mack and his other settled on her hip after running over her curves.
"This is the last time this happens." Mack mumbled against his lips, gasping as Kai picked her up and wrapped her legs around his waist before crashing her back to the door again.
"Okay." He murmured back, knowing full-well it wouldn't be.
...
"So what are you guys doing for Christmas?" Mack wondered aloud as Kai drove her and Jo home.
"Yeah, our family is going to San Francisco to see our cousins." Jo explained. "Well Kai isn't, as usual." she added almost accusingly.
"So you're gonna be on your own for Christmas?" Mack's question was directed at Kai now. he scoffed.
"So?" he seemed completely disinterested. Mack's eyes were wide.
"So?! What are you on about? It's Christmas!" Mack exclaimed, shocked. After a moment of thinking she came up with a solution. "Why don't you join my family for Christmas? It's only my dad, my sister and me but it's normally quite funny and we could always use some extra company." she quickly added, "and you can probably cook better than any of us."
After a moment of no answer Mack spoke again.
"You don't have to, I just didn't think you'd want to be alone. Think about it." She said as Kai pulled up to he house. "Thank you for the lift, bye!" and with that she climbed out Kai's car, slinging her bag over her shoulder and opening her front door.
"Hey dad." she said, dumping her bag on the table and grabbing an apple from the fruit bowel.
"Hey sweetheart." he chimed back, focus still on his notepad in front of him. "have a good day at school? How's Kai?" Mack took a bite of her apple.
"School's..." she trailed off, thinking about the Janator's closet, "fine, I guess. And Kai's good too. Speaking of Kai, can he spend Christmas with us? His family is going away and he'll be alone." Mack put her pleading face on.
"Of course he can, that boy has been a great help to you these past few months and I'd love to finally meet him. Do you want to give him a call?" he suggested, finally looking up from his work.
"I'll call him later. I've got homework to do, so I'll just be up in my room if you need me." Mack said, walking towards the stairs.
"Oh honey," her dad started. she turned back to face him.
"Yeah, dad?"
"Kim's boyfriend is also joining us this year."
"Boyfriend?"
"Yeah, they started going out recently. I think he's younger than her - maybe your age. I am yet to meet him, so she thought Christmas would be the perfect opportunity."
"Okay." Mack walked up the stairs, the cogs of her mind churning, trying to figure out who her sister was dating.
...
"Kai! Finally, I thought you'd never come." Mack greeted cheerfully, smiling widely at Kai would held a few stacked trays covered with tea-towels in his hands.
"And miss seeing you in this little get-up?" He gestured to her red dress and Santa hat, "not a chance in the world, sweetheart." Kai grinned back, placing a quick kiss on her cheek as he walked into the house.
"You must be Kai!" Her Dad said as he saw Kai, Kim taking the plates from him as he mouthed a thank you before returning to her dad.
"Correct. You must be Mr Grace." Kai mentioned, shaking his hand firmly.
"Oh, please call me Ian." Ian waved off, releasing Kai's hand.
"Well, it's good to meet you, Ian. Thank you so much for having me." Kai thanked.
"Oh, it's no big deal. It's nice to have some more company for a change." Ian smiled. Kai turned to Kim.
"Ah, the sister." He said with a tight smile.
"Ah, the boyfriend." She mimicked. Kai had an amused smile at that.
"Not quite, just the best friend for now. I don't think she's quite over-" he was cut off when he heard Mack's horror filled voice whisper.
"Ben." She stood completely frozen, the door wide open and a smirking Ben stood on the other side, a small box tucked under his arm.
"Hey doll, how are you?" He said with a sickeningly cheery smile that made Kai clench his fists. After the moment of awkward silence, Kim walked over, pecking Ben on the lips and taking his hand, leading him into the house.
"So, everyone. Ben is my boyfriend, we started talking a few months ago. And we're really happy." Kim announced, standing hand-in-hand with a grinning Ben. Kai put his hands on Mack's shoulders, looking into her eyes with concern.
"You gonna be okay?" He whispered, thumbs stroking her shoulder soothingly. She swallowed thickly before nodding, still looking straight ahead with a look of emptiness in her eyes. She closed the door, sticky heading towards the sofa and pulling Kai down to sit next to her.
They zoned out the interaction currently happening, Mack's body slumping against Kai until she laid down, her head in his lap. He played with her hair, trying to quell the building anger inside him.
"So, Ben - long time no see?" Ian said with a bright smile and mockingly-sad tone. Ben smiled at the man from where he sat beside Kim, his arm slung over her shoulder.
"Yeah, well, after me and Mack decided to end things, it got lonely for me. Then I bumped into Kim at the diner down the road and we just got to...talking." Ben mused, but Mack could tell by the mischievous glint in his eye they did something, but talking was not it. "And ever since then, we've been practically inseparable." He finished, entwining his hand with Kim's and smiling down at her with warmth, but a dark undertone still lingered in his gaze.
"Well, I hope it isn't awkward between you kids." Ian joked, gesturing from Ben to Mack with his hand, which had a bottle of beer comfortably settled in it. Ben chuckled and Mack forced a smile, but Kai was practically seething, it glare emitting nothing but anger as he shot an icy stare at Ben. Mack noticed this and gently tugged him away.
"We'll go get dinner ready." She said with a small smile as she pulled Kai into the kitchen, slamming the door behind him and looking into his eyes - which remained fixed on the door as his nostrils flared and his face burned crimson. "Hey, hey. Look at me." Mack soothed as she placed her hands on the sides of Kai's face, stroking his cheekbones softly with her thumbs. His gaze broke and he looked down at her, his expression softening at the sight of Mack.
"I'm sorry, Kenz. I just- I can't stand him." Kai seethed and Mack shushed him gently.
"I know, but I need you to stay calm for me." She whispered and he nodded slowly. "Now, how 'bout we get this food ready?" Mack suggested and Kai's anger seemed to melt away at the mention of food, his shoulders relaxing and a wide smile replacing his frown. He leant down, kissing Mack languidly before pulling away and walking over to the oven.
"You do the veg and I'll handle the Turkey?" Kai grinned and Mack smiled warmly.
...
"This is delicious, Kai. Thank you so much for bringing it." Ian commented, mouthful of food as he eagerly wolfed down the plate of Christmas dinner Mack had served him.
"Yeah, I guess you can cook much better than you can throw a punch, huh?" Ben jeered with an amused grin. Mack and Kim grimaced and Kai had to stop himself from dropping his fork. Or stabbing it into Ben's hand, for that matter. Kai looked up at Ben with a fake smile.
"I guess so." He chuckled and Ben followed, the tension melting as they all continued to eat. "But, you know, just for the record." Kai started and Mack put her knife and fork down, burying her face in her hands as Ben raised a brow and Ian looked between the two boys. "I think you're a much better conversationalist than boyfriend." Kai mused.
"And what makes you say that?" Ben prompted.
"Well, from what I  can tell you can make it through a whole conversation with out hitting someone, unlike your relationships." Kai snapped and Ian's eyes widened, Ben's jaw ticked and he gripped his fork tightly. "Notting to say to that, sick bastard?" Kai taunted and Ben's jaw clenched and he abruptly stood.
Kai followed soon after. Mack reached out for him, placing a hand on Kai's arm but he shrugged her off. Kim seemed to be frozen and their dad looked completely lost. Ben made the first move, stepping around the table. Kai was soon to copy him but as Ben threw his fist Kai caught it with ease. He smirked at Ben.
"Still wanna tell me I can't throw a punch?" Kai asked with raised brows and Ben's angered face melted into one of fear and he coward away from Kai. "Didn't think so." Kai muttered before twisting Ben's arm round and holding it against his back as Ben cried out in pain. "Now, why don't you leave and stay the fuck away from Kenz, huh? I know how much you like to lay your hands on her.." Kai trailed off and let Ben go, who stumble forward and practically bolted from the house, the door slamming with a bang behind him the reverberated from the walls like thunder.
"Get. Your. Fuck-buddy. Under. Control." Kim spat at Mack before storming off, the sound of the legs of her chair scraping bitterly against the floor was punctuated awkwardly but the slam of the door behind her. A thick tension rose, thick enough that a knife could slice straight through it like it was cutting cheesecake.
"Well.." Ian began but Mack was gone, the last thud of the door causing both Kai and Ian to flinch as the wood smashed against the battered frame.
"I'm sorry-" Kai tried to apologise, turning to face the man but Ian held up a hand, halting Kai's words.
"No. You did the right thing, boy. I can't believe I let that boy in my home - near my daughters!" Ian gritted out and Kai's jaw clenched. "I should have been a better father..."  he murmured.
"No." Kai said harshly, making Ian's head snap up to look at him. "You are not at fault. Ben is a vile creature who deserves to rot in hell." Kai spat and Ian nodded. "And if you think you're a bad father, you are strongly mistaken. If you knew how much Kenz appreciates you,     you'd-" Kai's little sprang was cut off when a violent buzzing echoed from his pocket. Kai pulled out his pager to see Mack's number and instantly rushed to the phone.
"Kenz? Oh my god, Kenz! You had us worried sick! Where are you? I'll come pick you up-"
"I killed him, Kai. He's - he's dead."

Elain did not want to be at school, she wanted to be at home with Azriel, in bed. Preferably naked. But she was stuck here in her stupid fucking English Lit class where she was absorbing literally no information. He was perfectly fine at home she knew, his mother was there with him, but that didn’t stop her leg from bouncing nervously.
When they were finally let out, she ignored all of the curious glances she received walking out of the room. Her bump was bigger but she was wearing Az’s hoodie so no one could actually see that it had and she tried not to let her hand hold it, something she had taken to doing quite a lot recently. As she walked through the cafeteria and to their usual table, where Cass, Rhys and Lucien were already sat, more people kept looking at her oddly. Some were just curious like the ones from her class, some gave her a quick and disgusted once over and others, they just looked before turning back to their friends and giggling. Elain had to clench her hands into fists so as not to wrap her arms around herself. She would not show them how they affected her; she would not look weak in their eyes. Sitting next to Cass when she finally got to the boys, more people started openly staring at their table, and she watched as Rhys’ brows furrowed and asked with blatant confusion, “And why the fuck is every moron in this school staring at us?”
Lucien laughed from opposite her, “We aren’t that special. It’s probably you and your new scar. You are now even uglier than before.” He winked at Rhys, causing the other boy to let out a gasp and put his hand to his chest.
“Vanserra, how could you? I thought you loved me?!” He put his face in his hands and started to very obnoxiously fake cry. It was at that moment that Feyre and Nesta arrived, the former raising a brow at her boyfriend’s antics as she sat down.
“Why are you being such a drama queen, Rhysand?” Rhys threw himself at Feyre in an instant, burying his face into her neck as he gasped out between more fake sobs;
“B-babe, Lucy d-doesn’t love me any-anymore.”
Elain’s sister only rolled her eyes whilst patting his back, causing Elain to giggle, which stopped as soon as it started when a voice rang out through the cafeteria. A voice she really didn’t want to fucking deal with right now.
“Well would you look at this. Velaris High’s new ‘mommy to be’ finally decided to show her face.” They all turned to see Ianthe standing there with a hand on her hips; a smirking Tamlin at her back. Fucking bastard. Elain was frozen and she felt as though she couldn’t breathe. How the fuck could that stuck up bitch know that she was pregnant? Cassian had his good arm tightly wrapped around Nesta’s waist, stopping her from getting up but he was also wincing at the way she dug her nails in. Lucien and Rhys were glaring at Tamlin and Feyre was silently seething.
Cassian tipped his head to stare at the ceiling as he groaned, “Please, please just fuck off, Ianthe. No one is in the mood for your stupid bullshit today.”
“But I’m just so curious. I was at the hospital just visiting one day, when I overheard a conversation. And then Nesta came storming out of the room. I waited for a little bit after and Tamlin’s dearest Feyre came out too. So, how did our little freak manage to get someone to even look at her, let alone put a baby in her?”
Feyre snarled from where she sat, vibrating with anger, “I am not his anything. Call my sister a freak again Ianthe, and you won’t like the consequences.”
Elain wanted to be anywhere else than here. She wanted to be at home, with Az and forget this day ever happened. Ianthe laughed, something like a hyena, and gods it was the worst sound.
“But she is a freak. A freak with a bastard baby and even better, a cripple for a baby daddy. Yeah, we heard about dear Azzie. Such a shame, he really was a looker before.” She was smirking by the end and Elain felt anger rising from the pit of her stomach. Before she knew it, she was on her feet and there was pain coursing through her hand and wrist. She shook out her fist, cursing, and looked up to see Ianthe with a hand over her nose, blood leaking through her fingers. She was also screaming.
“You fucking bitch! You broke my gods damned nose!”
Cassian had let go of Nesta who was also now on her feet, and proceeded to bang Ianthe’s head against a chair. The screeching stopped but people throughout the cafeteria were now cheering and chanting. Cassian whistled lowly, eyes dark as he watched his girlfriend. “Sweetheart, what have I told you about turning me on in public places?” Nesta simply flipped him off, making him chuckle.
Tamlin was looking between them and an unconscious Ianthe lying on the floor, opening his mouth to say something before the principal walked in. “What on earth is going on in here?” He looked at the group of them, sending someone to get the nurse when he saw Ianthe, and narrowed his eyes at Elain. She was still shaking out her slightly throbbing fist. “My office, right now.” Turning on the spot, he gestured with a hand for her to move forward, following behind her as she did as she was told. There were faint murmurings of Rhys saying, “Who knew Lain had such fire?” as she walked away. It was only then that she allowed her hand to drop, curving her hand around her steadily growing stomach, hand rubbing against the side. Her brows furrowed when it felt like something was tickling her and pressed her hand down a little harder. She gasped when it happened again, eyes widening as a shocked smile spread across her face.
Her little girl was moving.
Elain dragged her hand downwards and her girl followed. It took everything she had to not let herself cry with joy. Her girl made her presence known right when Elain needed her most.
Mama is here baby girl. I’ve got you, my littlest one.
She held her head high and back straight as she walked into the principal’s office, proud of herself. She had defended herself, the man that she loved and that wonderful little miracle they’d created together. She had defended her family.
Just as she always would.
oOoOo
Azriel peered up over his book from where he was sitting on the sofa, watching as his family walked through the front door of the house, all of them laughing loudly. Cass and Rhys both had an arm each looped through one of Elain’s as she giggled at them. Feyre and Nesta came through just behind them, both smiling wide as they watched the trio in front of them. Cassian let go of her to flop down next to him and Rhys twirled Elain before bringing her close, singing a random song off tune as he danced with her. Azriel felt a small twinge of jealousy at the sight, but it was overpowered by the happiness he felt as he watched her. This was the brightest she’d been in almost a week and his heart soared.
His brother nudged him with an elbow, his whole body twitching with how giddy he was. “Oh dearest brother, you would never guess what kind of day we’ve had.”
“No I can’t, but I’m assuming it was a good one?” He didn’t take his eyes off of his girlfriend, who seemed to be glowing with all of the excitement. He wanted nothing more than to get up and take her into his own arms, he ached to do so. He pushed it down and finally tore his eyes away, meeting hazel eyes similar to his own.
“Ianthe knows about the baby.” Azriel’s eyes went wide at that before abruptly spun back to Elain, but she didn’t seem bothered by it, didn’t look like she cared one bit.
“How the hell could she possibly fucking know? You can’t even see Elain’s bump when she’s wearing baggy clothes.”
Nesta spoke up; returning from where she’d disappeared into the kitchen, bottle of water in one hand and Elain’s vitamins in the other, handing them both off to his girlfriend. “She was at the hospital the day Elain collapsed, lurking around like a creepy loser after I stormed out to come and beat your ass.” There was no heat behind the words and she even winked at him. “She called Elain a freak, the baby a bastard and then you a cripple.” His heart dropped into the pit of his stomach at that. He couldn’t give two fucks about what people thought of him, but that was his girl and his baby. The anger inside of him had clearly transformed the look on his face because Rhys nodded at the sight.
“That was your girl’s thoughts exactly because the next thing we knew, Elain was out of her seat and punching Ianthe square in the nose.” Pride over took him then at the image it provided him. His beautiful Ellie all fired up. As he looked at her he could see the pride she too felt about herself, but her lips were also formed into a shy smile. His girlfriend was not violent, never had been. She was kind, loving and so amazingly sweet; it was part of the reason he’d fallen in love with her. The opposite of him but she also matched him perfectly.
“That’s my girl.” He breathed the words with such awe, watching the way Elain flushed at the praise, from her cheeks, down her neck and then it disappeared, hidden by the clothes she was wearing. Azriel didn’t need to see though, he knew exactly what it would look like from their times together. Part of his anatomy stirred at the thought of getting her naked again, making that flush spread all over. Thought of the way she’d gasp and bite her lip when he traced it gently with his fingertips. He shook his head of the thoughts when Elain spoke softly, the first time since they’d all gotten home.
“Could the rest of you give us a minute please?” Both Rhys and Cassian turned to look at him, both of them with matching, shit eating grins on their faces as they wiggled their brows. Feyre and Nesta rolled their eyes at the pair, forcefully dragging their boyfriends’ from the room despite their protests. When they were alone, Elain slowly walked over to stand in front of him where he was sitting, holding her hands out to him. He raised his own and placed them in hers, feeling the way she squeezed gently before her beautiful voice filled the room again. “I know it’s awful of me but before today, sometimes I regretted that night we shared.” His face fell at the confession and he went to pull his hands away, but Elain only gripped his hands tighter.
“Ellie...”
“No, listen. It’s just that, on the bad days since then, I just didn’t feel like me anymore, you know? I felt like I had lost myself, lost the person that I was.” All Azriel could do was nod, not understanding where she was going with this, but he listened anyway. “But then today, today Ianthe happened. She said those things, called us those names and I just sort of lost it. She called our little girl a bastard and so I punched her and fuck, it felt so fucking amazing to do that. I actually felt good.” She deserved to feel good because of that. Ianthe had always been a raging bitch, an attention seeking one at that. It was about time that somebody put her in her place.
A wonderful and breathtaking smile broke out over her face, twisting her hands to bring his own to her stomach, curving them around one spot to the side. “And when I was walking to the principal’s office, I took comfort in holding our baby, just in time to feel that.” At which point, she pushed his hands down a little harder, and he felt something flutter beneath his palm. He was confused for a moment but then it happened again, making shock and astonishment overtake him. Elain took her own hands away, just letting him feel all on his own and cupped his cheek, tilting his head back to look at her.
“Is that what I think it is?” She nodded, laughing quietly and he let every emotion wash over him, tears spilling down his cheeks. They were brushed away by gentle thumbs before letting his head drop so he could press his face to the movements, feeling the little thud, thud, thud, against his cheekbone. Gods it was so fucking surreal, being able to feel the way his little girl moved, making her presence known in the best way she possibly could.
“It was like she was telling me that everything was alright, that she was the one that was there for me, not the other way around. And I knew, I knew then in that moment I could never regret it, could never regret you. I could never regret her. It simply wasn’t possible to do so because I love you both, so terribly much.”
“I love you too, Ellie. You have no idea how fucking much.” He pushed up her clothes, baring her bump to him and he pressed his lips to her warm skin, kissing the little flutters he could feel there. His daughter’s movements sped up as he spoke against skin, pouring his heart out to the girls who meant the world to him.
“And you, my angel, daddy loves you more than words can describe. You are my greatest gift and I promise you, to protect and love you, until the day my heart stops beating. Maybe not even then, sweetheart.”
