Pokemon: Future - General Info

Since I posted the first fic and am getting the second one already on the way, I feel like it's worth sharing my plan for this whole project

Timeline

EP0001 to EP1232 - Canon, lasts 3 years in total. Aka Ash is around 13 in the end of "The rainbow and Pokemon Master".

Trials and Tribulations of Coordination - Short fic exploring how Dawn has been doing post DPani. [!!] Not shippy at all, sorry.

Sinnoh Dawn, Alola Dusk - Oneshot featuring Dawn in a visit to Alola. Happens immediately before the following series. [!!] Sorta shippy but very subtle.

Platinum Past - First fic series in my collection. A Pokemon Legends Arceus story. Features Ash and Dawn at the age of 15. [!!] Very shippy but not overly romantic.

Kalos roots - Second oneshot featuring Ash in Kalos dealing with the ultimate weapon. Happens immediately after the previous series. [!!] Not shippy. A brigde between PP events and what's to come.

Once the Champion, always the Champion - Second series. Tells the story of Ash's second journey through Alola alongside his pokemon. Age 17. [!!] Not really shippy, just focusing on Ash and his pokemon that never got much in the anime.

Dawn of a new master - Third series. Tells the story of Dawn's doing Sinnoh contest circuit again. Age 18. [!!] Sorta Shippy? Depends on some factors, but is Dawn becoming a Top coordinator: the fanfic.

Let's go Kanto! - Fourth short fic. Tells the story of Dawn's first visit to Pallet town alongside Ash. Happens imediately after the previous series. [!!] Very shippy! Very cheesy!

Goodbye Kanto - Third Oneshot. Features Ash moving from Kanto to Alola. Age 19. [!!] Not at all shippy. Is about Ash and Delia mostly.

TBN - Fourth series. Tells the story of Ash and Dawn travelling Sinnoh for a second time. Ages 20. [!!] This is where the shipping gets center focus! Yeah, im sorry, i did said this was a slow burn tho....

TBN - Fifth and final series. Tells the story of Ash and Dawn travelling Kanto and Johto. Ages 21. [!!] Very shippy! They're dating here! But the focus is... something else..

crucially after their one (1) kind of a joke kind of serious date eddie kisses chimney stupid after walking chimney to the door of his and maddie's house. tongue at all. like it starts as silly both of them tipsy and kind of snickering but then eddie Puts His Mind To It as he's not a man to half-ass anything. it doesn't even last two minutes but chim short-circuits anyway and eddie breaks it off and starts laughing and patting chimney on his shoulder and then he says, see you tomorrow at work!, and walks away without looking back. chimney walks inside in a daze while maddie's on the couch with jee and doesn't get further than "So hypothetically speaking-" before maddie says, "We're not having a threesome with Eddie." without looking up from whatever she and jee are doing. and chimney sighs a little wistfully and dreams about it at least two times a year in a totally chill and casual way.

sorry but snow is such a well written iconic villain and donald sutherland performs him so fucking good it's almost hilarious how i start practically foaming at the mouth every time the man opens his mouth to say something deplorable in those movies, like he's so utterly and despicably wrong about almost every crucial thing from katniss and peeta's relationship to human nature as a whole and yet the second he starts talking about how hope is the only thing stronger than fear and how you have to allow a little hope but control it so its spark doesn't grow into revolution and how it's the things we love the most that destroy us you bet your ass i am on the floor screaming crying throwing up because that is my psychotic mustache-twirling villain RIGHT THERE

Ah yes, good ol smooches after a brutal fight, good stuff indeed.

it's the quiet, desperate force behind the action that really does it. it's the possessive, deep pressing nature of the kiss. it's a silent "i fought for you, i won, and now i want you." it's hands, still drenched the blood of an enemy, holding and grasping with a fervor. those same hands that brutalized their enemy hold their love with gentle but firm insistence. they hold firmly, not about to let their dear one get away without payment for services rendered.

I've realized that truly the worst thing Stiller and Erickson could do would be to move on from Burt and Irving as a lost cause. I don't want a single stilted flashback to the s1 finale that ends with Irving telling the innies that "oh he was already happy, I have to find a way to move on" with some dejected pining throughout.

I want this tragedy to hurt unimaginably and I want Irving to fight to have it, I want grey morality and apostasy all because of true love, I want to see Burt's outtie put in the worst no-win situation, I want to see Irving revel in it while being in the worst pain of his life. I want them to address how Lumon's most devout servant helped spark a rebellion solely because he found a soulmate. And I want to see how Irving even moves forward when he loses it. (DOES he lose it? I don't know. I don't WANT to know for as long as possible.)

There is so much here and the worst thing imaginable would be for them to relegate it.

At this point I'm just waiting for Yuu to give Rollo a smooch, since he's now held hostage living in the guest room. Doubt he has the nerve though. 😅 Maybe give one to the mini Rollos on the forehead, that seems more plausible. (Feel free to ignore this, I'm just expressing my thoughts.)

Though he absolutely gives smooches on the mini rollo's foreheads ! He sees them as pets kind of and just hugs them or gives them a peck on the head like you would do with your cat or dog whenever you see them. Might have accidentally done that in Rollo's presence just because he's so used to it.... Really?? In front of his croissant ???!

And proceed to make everything worse by trying to justify it, then avoid eye contact for the rest of the day

I fucking love that they did the switch around with Cary and Renee and the contrast between who they are vs who their role is; the one acting as the bad parent being the one who actually loves Caspian and has since day 1, hates and regrets the role he's played, doesn't want to hurt Caspian and tells him the truth about his life, and does what he can to look out for him and protect him once he no longer has to act his part vs the loving mother who turns out to have absolutely no affection for Caspian at all, in fact seems to actively dislike him and has absolutely no reservations about literally disposing of him when he's served his purpose
