seriously though nothing can stop me from interpreting Real Life as canon just for how it progresses the canary curse situation. i'm obsessed with it. the curse gets broken in secret life and then in the very next "series", as much of a joke as it is, you get a situation like THAT. jimmy enters a mineshaft and everyone but him dies. not just his team, though obviously it's more significant because they were all red, but ren/martyn/skizz all get a mineshaft-death apiece. that canary's not doing his job anymore. he escaped his cage and made a break for the surface and everyone else is paying the price for it, and i for one could not be more proud of that little bird.

#that's not to say however that real life is on the same level of seriousity as all the other life games #the watchers grabbed all these players from the aftermath of the wildest party anyone's ever seen #the only ones not hungover were the ones drinking until dawn (now sleep deprived and plastered)#no one's going to have more than the vaguest memories of what the hell happened there #none of them sure if that was an actual Game or if some genius thought it would be a great idea to play-act one. while drunk.#the watchers know though. the watchers think it was funny.#wotcher talk #solidaritygaming #life series #life series smp #life smp #trafficblr #life series spoilers #real life #real life smp #rlsmp

Thinking about the fact that Mabel and Dipper didn't know they had two great uncles.

Yeah they are 12 and at 12 I had a shotty understanding of my family tree- But really? Nobody brought up their great uncle? Stanley? Especially since they'll be staying with his twin brother, Stanford?

Shermie never went to Stan's fake funeral, which to me means the twos relationship was strained on some level. If Shermie is older that means his view of Stan was poisoned in some way, that even as kids they weren't close. If the Shermie is younger then he never even got to meet Stan and all he knew about him was how he failed his family. Hell, people probably barely mentioned Stanley TO Shermie.

The fact that Stan had become a black stain upon the Pines family name makes me so vividly upset. Stanley faked his death and the family just- seemingly decided to strike him from the record. To pretend he didn't existed to spare themselves the sadness and shame.

Stanford and Shermie Pines. The only children worth mentioning of Filbrick and Caryn Pines.

It was never Stanford that was lost to the world. It was Stanley, ever since he had to leave New Jersy- it was always him that had to be struck from the record. Change his name, change his state, change his affiliations, destroy the remains of ghost that was Stanley Pines. Kill him so the family doesn't bring him up, doesn't ask questions, stops asking "Stanford" about his twin.

I just keep thinking about the fact that since the day he made one single mistake all the way up until Ford walks out of that machine- Stanley Pines was killed and did not exist. And Stan himself had no one to blame, he had to play the part in his own demise- He is the only one who ever knew Stanley was alive and has been for decades.

He lives in the multitudes of every personality he's ever taken, all in the hope that he himself can stop being Stanley Pines.

#poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #wei wuxian #granny wen #a-yuan #It's always fascinating how colours translate from the page to the screen.#It would probably surprise a lot of people to see what some of these comics actually look like in physical form.#My lighter colours takes about 3-4 washes before it shows up on scan which means it tends to ripple the page.#And my yellows and oranges are drastically different colours when scanned compared to the ink colour.#There's about 20 or so comics where everyone's hair is purple - because it scanned in the exact same colour as my light grey.#Wait my book is right here in front of me so I can...yeah...Comics 57-77 were indeed purple.#This is all to say - is it not fascinating how what we see is often not the full truth of what the subject truly is?#Is it not fascinating to open another episode that reminds us that despite everyone's claims they could totally spot the evil YLLZ-#-The man walks around among them for months as no more than a man haggling for deals like the rest.#It's almost as if he's just a person. It's almost as if none of us - no matter what we do are really anything more than just a person.#Your good acts will be overtaken by how other's interpret you in negative light.#Just as easily are people willing to forgive crueler actions if they hold you in high esteem.#But what's real? Is the page I hold the real version of this comic? Is it the one you look at?#Is the man known as Wuxian the most himself when he is alone or on the battlefield?#Perhaps he is and has always been a scared orphan boy lost in the market.#I think there is no good answer to any of these questions.#But I do know that panic rising in WWX as he frantically looks for A-yuan was for more than one boy.#To be human is to have layers around a delicate center. There was this dumbass project we did at school a few months back (I’m studying media & graphic design & printing & layouts stuff) where we got to make mini magazines about a hobby/ interest of our choice (I obviously chose Baldur’s Gate of all things because I’m normal) and we did all the layouts and photo editing and all of that. I’m super cool and took an extra like 13 hours to illustrate the cover & one of the ads by hand

We printed and cut the actual magazines and made digital publications. I’d show you the whole magazine but its actually kind of embarrassing and theres a lot of mistakes in there and I dont want anyone to actually read it because the text is slop that I just vomited out of my head. The teacher actually encouraged using AI to write the articles but I didn’t I just rambled about the game

I want to emphasize how the actual contents of the magazine really did not matter which is why they let me do it in english & talk about NOTHING for ten pages. This was purely a layout & graphic design excercise. Some people used lorem ipsum for their entire thing

Here’s proof that it exists though and i can touch it with my little fingies

All the teachers thought this was Super Cool & Awesome and I got a lot of compliments :3
