Alzheimer's has well and truly taken its toll on my Mum. She's been in hospital with another matter for the last few weeks and last night I decided to show her a few clips on my phone from old comedy shows that we used to watch. I remember watching this with her when it was first shown in 1989 and countless times since. Last night she just gave a little smile as she watched and tapped the screen at both Del and Trigger as if she knew them but wasn't sure from where. A lot of her memories are now gone but some are still there.

Pov; you're a balkan and your sense of humor are old BBC sitcoms:
I watch them religiously whenever there are reruns on TV; free to add if I missed any, these are the first I could think about.

The Jolly Boy's Explosive Coach Outing | Only Fools and Horses
The Jolly Boys’ Outing was definitely one of Only Fools & Horses’ best episodes. This scene alone is comedy gold.

Cassandra: Roddy is too tall for me to kiss him, what should I do?
Del: Punch him in the stomach, then kiss him when he’s doubled over in pain.
Trigger: Tackle him.
Marlene: Kick him in the shin.
Boycie: Dump him.
Rodney: NO TO ALL OF THOSE, JUST ASK ME TO LEAN DOWN!

I was watching an episode of Only Fools and Horses in which Rodney gained the ability to fly. He wanted to use this power to fight crime, which Del was OK with as long as he didn't stop any of the criminals who supplied his business. It ended with Rodney being the mascot for a supermarket Del had invested in instead. And no, he wasn't wearing the Robin costume from that one real episode; for some reason he was wearing the costume from The Greatest American Hero.
I don't know why I'm having dreams about old British sitcoms lately, but there was also one I had years ago where I was playing a game of Civilization V and a new civ spawned in the game that I'd never seen before. After following the Scout back to their capital I discovered that it was ruled by Hyacinth Bucket from Keeping Up Appearances.
