Damn cold 🥶 mornings. 7:30am leg session. Here is my leg workout cycle iv been doing for the last 3 of 4 weeks: #squats 10x3 #walkinglunges 60x3 #calfraises 15x4 #legextentions 10x3 Each week @jacksmyth7 and I have been increasing the weight of our squats and keeping the weight stable for the other exercises. This has been my own experiment as to find out my maximum recoverable volume for legs minus (isolated hamstrings). Most of us go into a gym to destroy whatever muscle group we have on that given day but don’t account for the time it takes to fully recover before we have to hit it again and from my experience over the last 13 years, we are usually pretty good for a couple weeks than without adding an extra scoop of pre workout we would find ourselves fatigued and not able to perform anywhere near the last 2 weeks. This is called over training, it got blindsided when I first started gym because most of the lifters that were promoting hardcore training were on gear. Remember that cravings and actual hunger are two very different things, and these tips will only help with cravings. 👇🏽⠀ ⠀ 1. Go for a walk, the main goal is to distract yourself and to stop thinking about food. Going for a walk is a great and healthy way to do this. ⠀ ⠀ 2. Just recently I was listening to a podcast about genetic limitations with Lyle McDonald and he explains the hurtful truth behind natural bodybuilding. I started out lifting for the wrong reasons but over the 13+ years I have been doing it (witnessing these truths Lyle is talking about) Iv seen those who love it are with me till the end and those who just want a quick fix are always fighting themselves in trying to create unrealistic results, this is even when they turn to steroids or enhancements. If you don’t enjoy the hard work and finding the realistic results of your genetics 🧬 then your best bet is to rethink if this journey is even for you. I know this will be for the rest of my life and I’m willing to slowly create my perfect physique. Hello!❤️⁣ ⁣ To everyone who is new to my page, welcome 👋🏼⁣ ⁣ My goal is to empower women to lift heavy, be strong, feel confident and love their bodies⁣ ⁣ I haven't done any "about me" posts so I figured I'd share 15 facts about me below⁣ ⁣ Would love to hear if we have any similarities!⁣ ⁣ ▪️I'm kind of short. I'm 5'2 and 3/4 but I tell people I'm 5'3 🤷🏼‍♀️⁣ ▫️I’m the youngest sibling. I have one older brother⁣ ▪️I am half Irish and half Italian. I look more Irish because I have light hair and blue eyes but have Italian skin⁣ ▫️For about 14 years, my entire life revolved around soccer. I was recruited to play Division I ⚽️⁣ ▪️Sometimes I'm an introvert and sometimes I'm an extrovert⁣ ▫️I am a dog mom to my two fur babies Jack and Callie 🐶⁣ ▪️I HATE drinking alcohol. I can probably count on 1 hand how many drinks I have per year. Gross 🤢⁣ ▫️I hardly ever go out. I hate bars, clubs or any crowded social setting. I'd much rather curl up on the couch and watch movies⁣ ▪️I love baking but hate cooking⁣ ▫️I am currently recovering and rehabbing from bilateral hip surgery⁣ - these hips don’t lie 💃🏼 ▪️My favorite colors are pink and light blue⁣ ▫️I LOVE deadlifting. Every day is deadlift day🏋🏼‍♀️⁣ ▪️My favorite holiday is Christmas. I listen to Christmas music all year round🎄⁣ ▫️I graduated with a degree in family science and human development with a minor in social work and a concentration in family services (that's a mouthful)⁣ ▪️I’m very artistic. I love to draw and paint.
