Species Swap-ish AU

Basically in this AU, Garmadon got those recessive genes or smth. Kinda like canon Lloyd, who hasn't showcased any oni-dragon traits until crystalized, Garmadon doesn't have any major traits from those species. The great devourer still bites Garmadon but because he doesn't have the correct genes/dna(idk)like in canon, the 'evil' only manages to make him a little more violent when he's angry and turn his eyes red.

(Maybe the venom ends up helping him shift between his human AND oni form...but Garm doesn't know that yet. Hah, the Overlords plan backfires.)

Nothing more, and he can control the anger pretty well, so yay happy ending instead of being banished by Wu to the underworld for so and so years. As for Lloyd when he's born, THATS ANOTHER LEVEL. All those oni-dragon traits meant for Garmadon is instead passed down to Lloyd via heredity-hence the technically species swap of this AU between them.

His baby teeth are growing sharp, he has oni horns and a oni-dragon tail mix. His eyes also turn red like Garmadon's when he's angry. Lloyd will also be able to poof four arms and wings when he's older but for now HE'S A FERAL CHILD.

Poor normal-ish Garm has to wrangle a chaotic Lloyd around, stop him from accidentally destroying everything with his destruction powers and from fucking BITING people. Garmadon's one of the only people that can make his son calm because Lloyd loves his dad to pieces(and vice versa, lloyd means the world to garm)

Aka adventures of garmadad raising a chaotic dragon oni hybrid lloyd while simultaneously being the best father ever.

Lloyd: Setting stuff on fire with purple flames.

Garmadon, sleep deprived: Oh father, not again.

Sketches for my Au when Lloyd knew about his dragon-oni side and did something about it.

When the prophecy comes out and they told Lloyd that is his destiny to defeat his father and save all Ninjago... He just laughed at them and leaves.

Like... Is the green ninja even getting paid for his shitty job?

Since Lloyd doesn't care about people that abandoned him and lied to him, he is just happy to live his life studying martial arts and some times cause trouble.

i’ve realized something recently.

Ninjago is incredibly morphable

you can do a lot to Ninjago and people will still see it as Ninjago in fact often times it doesn’t even seem out of the ordinary sometimes it actually sounds like something the show might even do and a lot of the times it sounds very likely for the universe because Ninjago doesn’t conform to its own laws it’s a fantasy world that half the time forgets past events or adds things that didn’t happen so it’s very easy to make something sound understandable for the universe because nothings understandable in the universe already

so I’m going to be starting a series on things you can do to Ninjago and have it still be Ninjago you can also use this as writing ideas if you want to

and it’s going to have the tag “it’s still ninjago”

Oni + Dragon ? Or just something strange?

Here’s a dumb idea: March of the Oni but instead of being obvious and taking over everything they just accidentally start a citywide game of That’s Not My Neighbor

Bonus points if this is also when Lloyd’s oni/dragon genes start to show up and he’s desperately trying to convince his team that “yes this is me I swear idk why I look like this now idk what’s going on please let me in I wanna help”

I don't ship lloykita but their should be a werewolf-vampire au about them. Akita is already like a werewolf (human that magically turns into a wolf) and people draw lloyd with oni traits that can look similar to vampires (red eyes, fangs). Onis are canibals. You could probably make it so that lloyd bites and drinks people's blood cause he gets hungry but doesn't want to you know- eat people. So he drinks blood as a way to cure his cravings while not hurting people as much as his stomach wants to. his elemental power is energy so he needs to get energy somewhere and since its harder to get it with half the day being spent indoors, when he drinks someones blood he's also sapping away their energy as well and sorta leaving them in a paralyzed state.

Instead of wooden stakes it's stakes made of vengestone.

Dragoni language but, they don't have gendered pronouns, nor like pronouns at all, they do have something similar like a certain "title" such as "being (Oni)" and "being (Dragon)" and additional "small being" referring to humans and most likely any other humanoid being (only exception being the serpentine referred as "small being (Dragon) because of what they look like) FSM was referred to as something similar to the word hybrid and never had a name I guess.

Garmadon gets referred as either "being (Oni)" or "small being" or sometimes even "small being (Oni)" because yes.

Lloyd is often referred to as "small being" or occasionally even used the same sound what FSM was referred as.

Harumi took Lloyd's destiny, but Destiny didn't like that?

A LEGO Ninjago fanfic

Destiny holds its threads in a tight embrace. Weaving more colors into its grand tapestry while cutting frail strands mercilessly.

But even the dead strands remain, tucked into the corners of the weave because Destiny will never let go of its strings.

Even the smallest, least favored thread has its place. But don't fool yourself into thinking Destiny doesn't play favorites. 

Destiny will always have its favorites after all.

Often people fool themselves into thinking Destiny favors them. Thinking they can demand destiny to let their wildest wishes come true.

Oh, how Destiny laughs at them. So foolish to think Destiny would possibly favor them!

Those who are favored by Destiny always know even if they wish to ignore the truth. 

Destiny favors those destined for greatness. Even if greatness means anguish.

People, of course, then blame Destiny for their subpar lives, and their deaths. 

Foolish they are to think Destiny would care. For all Destiny is possessive, as everything they live is theirs, so too are their deaths.

Harumi gathers a lot of power to change Destiny, so she is the green ninja adopted daughter of Garmadon, and Lloyd is the abandoned Jade Prince.

Lloyd doesn't know why everything always felt so wrong, like this itch in his body that never went away, but then he meets the ninja, he meets his dad (the good one), and he sees her — the once Jade Princess from his memories, now the green ninja. And he feels furious. Those powers are his birthright, as the grandson of the creator of Ninjago, a descendant of Creation and Destruction in Oni and Dragon ancestry. They will never be her’s, and she’ll soon learn what happens to mortals that play with powers beyond their control.

It’s why Destiny always favored Lloyd, and Harumi was a mere footnote to Destiny, a cockroach that didn’t like to die if you will. It’s Lloyd’s birth rite to be the Green Ninja, and it will never be Harumi’s try as she might to change her destiny.

And so, Lloyd will fight, his will strong and unmovable. He'll fight to save his and his families’ destinies before Harumi threatens the whole loom to collapse with her meddling.

In other words, this a role swap au that Destiny hates and will not allow, but that doesn't mean that It will do all the heavy lifting to get things back on track. No, that's the true Green Ninja's job.

Villain Lloyd AU: the garmadons are not okay(lloyd disagrees)

My head is swimming with so many AU ideas. So that alternate ending of Crystalized where Garmadon actually dies and Lloyd gets lost to the madness and takes his throne as the ruler of Ninjago? Okay yeah, let's make that worse.

Lloyd goes insane after Garm dies. He had another chance with his father, and he blew it. The grief makes the Oni side of him heavily influence and take over his decisions, hence having him think "If Harumi can resurrect Garmadon, so can I" and goes mad trying to bring his father back, almost breaking ninjago city in the process..and it works.

Months or so pass when he manages to bring back Sensei Garmadon, and Garm is revived by a psychotic obsessed Lloyd who is now emperor.

and GARM IS HORRIFIED OF WHAT LLOYD HAS DONE while Lloyd is just happily giggling and clinging to him because he brought his dad back and wants to make up for lost father-son time. Garm's the only one who can stop Lloyd from violently murdering ppl and now Garm has to try and fix everything while dealing with a crazy emperor Lloyd.

AU Lloyd Garmadon

My Lloyd Montgomery-Garmadon

1. He was 10 at the start of the series. 16 after his rapid aging (was not caused by a type of tea). 26 by the start of dragons rising.

2. His main weapon is the Staff of Creation ( AU version of the mega weapon) it was found in the temple of light and belonged to the FSM. All of golden weapons channel the user’s existing powers.

3. Has permanent horns and fangs after realizing his true Oni-Dragon form.

4. The mark of the Oni is a mark only pure Oni people have/can give. The Omega (shortly before his death) used his power to bestow the mark on Lloyd. He views this as a curse but slowly learns to accept that is is part of him.

5. He is the elemental master of life (I choose this mainly cuz I like the film’s explanation for what he and his powers represents).

6. The dragon band is bestowed upon ninja who successfully tame and befriend an elemental dragon.

7. He lost his arm to a possessed Garmadon in the AU equivalent of the Oni trilogy. He doesn’t balm his dad, but Garmadon blames himself.

8. Prosthetic was made by Pixel and Cyrus Borg.

9. He chose to also take Montgomery (Misako’s last name) and hyphenate it with Garmadon to honor his mother as well as his father.

10. While no specific ethnicities from our world exist in Ninjago (seeing as it is a completely separate reality), the FSM, Wu, The Oni, and Garmadon are the equivalent to Japanese. Misako is mixed (hence the Japanese first name and French sir name) and takes more after her French side. So long story short, Lloyd is mixed.

11. He is 5’9

12. His dragon, named Juniper, was the guardian of the temple of light.

13. Harumi died in crystalized. She apologized and made right by Lloyd before sacrificing her self. Tho he forgave her, Lloyd would have never gone back to her.

14. He and Akita had found ways to send each other letters before the merge. Now he is looking for her in hopes to reunite.

15. He has a HUGE inferiority complex.

16. Feels like he is solely responsible for protecting Ninjago

17. Pushes his issues inside and pretends they don’t exist.

18. Is afraid of being abandoned.

19. Has panic attacks due to his visions

And yeah, that's what Oliver saw in the Phantasm Cave! If I really wanted to, I could analyze and dissect everything he sees in his vision but I will refrain (at least for now)

Also this was scene in the actual season was the first one that made me go "Oh yeah, I gotta do something with Oliver here". For the most part I try not to have AUs on the brain while watching something new but I also can't help it sometimes.
