Also Puppy had their third nail trim tonight. Took all of 5 minutes. They just laid down and went to town on a chew while I took the clippers to each nail. They were a little uneasy about the table at first (table = ears, and ears = torture 😅), but they were fine once I pulled out the dental chew. Not sure what they put in those but it's like crack to them. Anyway, they didn't even protest me manipulating their paws (the rear nails were pretty short so I couldn't get to them without pushing on the pads to get them through the hair), so I'm pretty thrilled! Not a huge surprise considering puppy sat on the counter with a dental chew and didn't even miss a beat when they got their third round of vaccines last week 😅 food makes everything better...

the idea of removing icons (beloved) to save "space right" after an update where a bigass menu (beloathed) got put on the dash is so funny.

it's like someone moved one of one of those wobbly inflatable tube guys they use for advertising at car dealerships into your bedroom. then stepped back and went "ah, fuck, it's a little cramped in here, isn't it?"

Whitebeard needs to be a giant man (not a “giant” just an unnaturally large man.)

We’re introduced to him in season 3. In season 2 we will have little garden and will have met the giants. So it won’t break anyone’s suspension of disbelief if he’s like 19 feet tall.

Besides, think about what whitebeard actually does. In his introduction in jaya he sits there and talks. Post skypiea (I actually forget when this happens, pretty sure post skypiea) He clashes with shanks (and they don’t even touch cause acoc (I don’t actually remember if that happens but it should)). In marineford: He stands on the bow of the ship and talks. He hugs someone. He punches red dog into the ground without even touching him (that I do remember his fist had the quake ball on it). He dies standing up. He does not need to be on set. He can be an effect himself.

I have so much faith that this show will go all the way. It’s so good.

The sequin fabric for my I-am-determined-to-make-this-happen cosplay arrived the other day, and since I am still up to my eyeballs in handsewing for my Rhaenyra dress, all I did was open the plastic bag the fabric shipped in so I could check the red color against a few other pieces of the costume. Didn’t even take it out of the bag, just unfolded it a tiny bit so I could see the front of the fabric.

And yet somehow there are already sequins all over my house.

I think it depends on how it's done and if it's actually good filler (admittedly that's very subjective). I loved that episode of DragonBall Z where Piccolo gets his drivers license. That was great, but at the same time I don't need multiple episodes of filler at once (and certainly not entire arcs).

genuinely one of the worst things that’s happened to television in the last few years (exacerbated by streaming services) is death of Filler. going from 20 episodes to 8 because “we didn’t really need that episode where the main characters went to the beach right? it had no long lasting effect” but we DID!!! we needed to see how they act without the Big Bad Plot and to establish the dynamics between the characters and lay in the sun (do they forget sunscreen? how do they react to a thieving seagull? do they get buried in the sand or do they do the burying?). the plot isn’t everything. the action doesn’t hit as hard without the quiet moments. give us character development and our little scenes back
