The BAU team meeting Hotch’s younger gf who looks like she walked off the front cover of a magazine & she’s so bubbly and has a really comforting energy! How would they react????
The satisfying little clicks of heels against the marble floor wasn’t enough to gain any of their attention usually, but accompanied by the delicately enchanting chimes of true laughter and sweet smell of baked goods—eyes were immediately lifting to investigate to the scene.
“Thank you so much!” An incredibly sweet, honeyed voice gushed genuinely, “here, all of these are meant for my boyfriend but I’m sure he won’t even notice.”
The team traded immensely interested looks as they surveyed the scene, Anderson (who was uncharacteristically blushing a bright flustered cherry red) was being handed a chocolate chip muffin by—wow—a startlingly gorgeous young women who was dressed in inviting soft colours and had a large sweet smile on her face that served to emphasise her lovely appearance.
“My day just got a hundred times better.” Derek grinned, swivelling his chair sideways to speak to the rest of his team while barely taking his eyes off you.
“You’re telling me.” Emily’s mouth hung open a little as she leaned forwards on her elbows to look at you more closely.
“Behave.” JJ scolded before her brief look of reprimand melted under Emily’s pointed stare, “she’s looks so sweet I just wanna eat her.”
“She has a boyfriend.” Spencer reminded them.
“What—?”
“Pretty boy—you and—“
“Oh—oh, no!” Spencer flustered, sputtering out the gulp of his coffee he had in his mouth (JJ handed him a napkin with a mothers readiness). “Not—I would be absolutely honoured—and—and, for lack of a sensical phrase, over the moon, to have a romantic relationship with a woman such as her but—no, unfortunately. She—she said a few moments ago that has a boyfriend.”
“Ah.” Emily blinked, a slow almost sheepish smirk on his lips, “I wasn’t really listening to what she was saying, just watching her lips move.”
“Preach sister.” Derek leaned forward for a fist-bump which Emily easily gave, both of them nodding in solidarity.
“Hello!” They all startled heavily as your gentle, happy voice chimed now much closer to them and mouths dropped subtly at just how beautiful you looked up close.
“Well hello sweetheart.”
“H-hi.”
“Hi gorgeous.”
“Hello!”
You blinked at them, an adorable giggle leaving you at the onslaught of greetings that came all at once. “Hi! You wouldn’t happen to know where Aaron Hotchner’s office is would you?”
“Hotch?” Emily furrowed her brows at you curiously and then seemed to forgot about, well, any of anything she was thinking as your bubbly smile and sparkling eyes turned her way and you gave a cheerful ‘yep!’ “Um—just, up those stairs, the first door at the top.”
“Thank you very much.” You told her, voice as sweet as the packet of fizzy haribos hidden in her desk. “It was lovely meeting you all, we’ll probably be better acquainted later on.”
With a sparkly mischievous twinkle in your bright eyes and another adorable giggle, you took off in a small spin that sent the enchanting mix of your perfume and the baked goods wafting over to all of them and they all watched, entranced, as you climbed the steps to their boss’ office.
After several seconds of dazed silence, Spencer gasped.
“Boyfriend—“
“Yeah I wouldn’t mind being her boyfriend either.” Derek murmured. “At all—really, no sweat off my back.”
“Hotch.”
JJ’s mouth dropped open as she realised where Spencer was going with his train of thought, rolling back in her chair as they pointed at him in realisation.
“Oh my God!”
“Hotch—hotch, is her boyfriend..?” Spencer sounded extremely confused, mouth falling open and closing repeatedly.
“Huh?”
“Reid, you are having a giggle.”
“No, he’s right.” JJ confirmed, mouth open and eyebrows raised. “She said she was here to see her boyfriend and she’s gone to see Hotch. . 2 plus 2 equals. .”
“. . An incredibly brokenhearted Derek Morgan.” Derek’s own mouth dropped open, craning his neck to see what was going on in the office of his boss before realising that Hotch had shut the blinds. Derek gasped, that sneak.
“And a flummoxed Emily Prentiss.”
“But she’s so—“
“Yeah.”
“And he’s like—“
“Literally!”
“Well, the last few months Hotch has been incredibly more relaxed, in fact his percentage of smiles given has gone up from a measly 30% to almost 84%, his laugh quota has reached high yet levels than I’ve ever known it to be. I had also noted that every Thursday he never goes home as late as he usually retires for the day and with this new revelation of a relationship—I assume this correlates to their date nights.”
“It does.”
Everyone turned in their chairs quickly to face their boss who now stood outside his office a faintly amused smile curving up his lips, at his side was you and you were wearing an amused and loving smile, eyes practically sparkling after Spencer’s speech on your boyfriend’s behaviour as they flickered up to said boyfriend beside you who looked down at you with soft, fond eyes.
“So you figured out my secret.” You grinned at them all, taking in Spencer’s red cheeks and Emily’s flabbergasted, dazed stare. “I’m Y/N, Aaron’s girlfriend!”
“Doesn’t that just crush a man’s hopes and dreams.” Derek pouted quietly to himself, straightening up in alarm when his boss’ intense eyes zeroed in on him.
“Honey, this is JJ—“ The blonde gave a warm, welcoming smile and a wave, “Spencer,” said genius gave a tight lipped awkward smile, hands flailing awkwardly and cheeks a burning fiery red, feeling this pulse thump when they smiled back directly at him, “Emily and Derek.” Both of the aforementioned gave waves with half flirty-ish smirks and half genuine smiles.
The door to Rossi’s office opened and when he stepped out and saw you beside Aaron he smiled happily, walking towards you both.
“Ah, Y/N!” He took you into an embrace, kissing both of your cheeks. “You get more beautiful every time I see you, is this big brute treating you right?”
“Always, Dave.”
He patted you on the shoulders, smiling, before turning to Aaron who was rolling his eyes at him fondly.
“Let’s keep it that way.”
“Rossi!” Emily’s astounded voice exclaimed, “you—know Y/N—you knew about this—“
It was Dave’s turn to roll his eyes as he continued walking to descend down the stairs, tutting at her disappointedly.
“You thought I wouldn’t?” He countered, “who do you think encouraged him to go for it?”
You laughed at that and your boyfriend smiled down at you fondly, looping an arm around your waist—seemingly forgetting he was in his place of work and needed to keep up the facade of stone cold, emotionless boss.
“What—Rossi—get back here—“ Derek leaped up from his seat and trailed after the older man.
“What, you gonna come watch me take a leak?”
“If it means we get some answers!”
“Shoo parassita.”
All you could do was laugh again, smiling up at your boyfriend as his arm tightened around your waist and he pulled you closer into his side. You were very happy with your decision to come and deliver baked goods to him.

꩜.ᐟ Qimir x Padawan! Reader
Why would your master want a padawan like you when he has his acolyte?
Notes: I've seen fics abt padawan reader and none can quench my thirst eugh😫pls note i have nooo idea what goes on in the star wars universe please don't come for me😣
"Hand me that one, fast" He gestured to the purple fruit just beside you, not daring to glance at you. "Yes, sir"
You curiously peeked over your master as you handed the fruit, what was so important it had him rushing like this?
"It's for Mae," he says, the squelching fruit making you frown, you forget he reads minds as easily as breathing. Your frown deepens as you remember. Mae. His acolyte, he took you in a few months before Mae came, that first few months felt like heaven, it was just you and him, in this unknown planet, training, practicing.
Yet, after Mae came, it almost felt like you were some kind of servant for the both of them, he trained with her day and night, leaving you to fend for yourself, he told you it's because you've already been trained by him, that you don't need to anymore, you didn't mind, you got along with Mae... on your perspective that is.
Mae was a fast learner, you were proud of her, now you have someone to share your training with, converse like a normal person, but later you realized that him and her were two sides of the same coin, quiet, mute, they don't like conversations, although you made an effort to be friends with Mae, than you ever did with your master since she was the lesser evil, you're quite proud of yourself when your conversations with her turned from smalls nods and no's to simple phrases.
You didn't care that your master had two Padawans under his belt, that is until he taught her some things he never even told you about, every now and then he would drop hints about what he would teach you next, to prepare you, but this one was unknown to you, you thought, maybe, maybe he forgot to tell you since he was so engrossed in trying to make Mae catch up to you, but Mae didn't just catch up to you, she had already passed way above you, while your stuck on the pedestal she was weeks ago.
"Something on your mind, little bee?" That nickname, he never once gave an explanation on why he calls you that. "No, uh, nothing.. master"
You focus on his muscles grinding the stone bowl.
"I don't think that's nothing"
"I'm fine, really." You bite the inside of your cheeks. "Hm"
You blink, fiddling with the hem of your robes, you let a few seconds pass before speaking up.
"Why.. why does Mae need it?" He halted his movements, and right then and there you almost regretted asking, almost. "She's having nightmares"
He resumed his cooking, although his brief answer didn't provide you with anything, so what? You were having nightmares once too, and he told you to suck it up.
And as if he read your mind, which he did. "I don't want it to hinder her performance, we don't want any distractions during this time of her training."
What about my training? You wanted to yell at him, what about me? Why can't you make me one of your anti-nightmare potions too?
You could only clench your fists, making sure he doesn't hear some of your thoughts, which is hard considering he didn't teach you to, only Mae, along with healing your body by using the force, all her, and your left in the dust.
Your master said using negative emotions is the best fuel for people like them. Them. He told you, him and Mae obvi, you're nowhere near the equation, like an addition symbol in a multiplication question, makes no sense right? Because you make no sense being there when he clearly prioritizes Mae.
"—are you still listening?"
"I, huh," your eyes flutter up to him, frowning when he says nothing but look at you. A few seconds pass with only the both of you staring each other down, I mean, him staring you down with his creepy mask, he suddenly lets go of the pestle, the tool colliding with the mortar loudly.
He was now towering over you, and you realize then how big he was compared to you, it's like a dwarf next to a willow tree. (Guys no matter how big you think you are, Qimir is always bigger✋)
"I can't hear you, but I feel you" oh fuck, you forgot about that. "What is this plaguing your mind?"
Before you could answer, Mae comes running.
"You're back" He focuses on her, you let out a deep breath, for once your relieved Mae came in just a nick of time. "The ship's ready, master"
"Good, let's go" he grabs his robe from behind you. "Finish the potion before we come back"
"Whe, where are you guys going?"
"Nothing of importance, now go." He gestures to the stone bowl, his menacing helmet buzzing in your ears. "Yes, master.."
"Good girl." you couldn't hear his last few mumbles, only registering everything when they left the cave, leaving you alone.
-
You decided that you're gonna make an anti-nightmare potion for yourself too, because why does only Mae get it when you can make one in case you get nightmares?
And the best place to buy ingredients was with the best apothecary in town.
"Qimir?" You knock on the door. "I need to buy things for him, are you there?"
No answer.
"Hellooo?"
You pouted and turned around, now everyone's busy when you're not, you wanted to wait for a few more seconds but people might think you're crazy for trying to buy from an abandoned pharmacy, your master told you Qimir was there anytime you needed something to use for missions, but now that you don't go to missions, you love to annoy the clumsy pharmacy owner.
"Hey, wait!"
You tried to stop the smile creeping to your face when you hear the door bust open.
"I'm here!" He yelled, you turned around and waved, a big smile covering your face. "What took you so long?"
"What do you mean?" He playfully shrugged. "Been here since forever"
You felt more comfortable with him, you don't have to have to tiptoe around him unlike with the other, you liked to tease him about not taking a bath and for looking like a ragged hobo.
"What are you doing here though?" His eyebrows furrowed as you skip to him, you gave him a warm smile once again before making your way inside. "I need some things for him."
He frowned.
"Things? He didn't tell me he needed anything when they passed here."
"Well he told me, so go fetch it for me, servant" you chuckle and hit him on the bicep, he fakes a cry before hesitating to open the shelves.
"Here's the list of his majesty needs"
"His majesty?" He laughs, you just love making him laugh, maybe it's just you, or maybe you're just alone, but if there's anyone in the world you're going to survive an apocalypse with, it's Qimir.
"Uh huh, he keeps barking orders, finish this, finish that before we get home nyeh nyeh nyeh"
He chuckles once again. "Are you sure about telling me that? I might just snitch and get a promotion."
You feign an insulted look. "You don't dare"
"Oh but I do"
You both sat there laughing, forgetting about what you were here for. You clutch your tummy and struggle to inhale air.
"I can't— stop—" you burst out laughing once again, your face heating up, the tears in your eyes now brimming full.
"No no don't die on me" He jokes, you can see him staring, you wanted to look at him like that, shameless, but you can't stand looking at him for more than 3 seconds without blushing.
"Really?" He mumbles, but you heard him, clear as day. "What?"
"I, I mean, really h-huh? You can't stop laughing?" He waved both his hands in the air.
"You weirdo"
"Oh so now I'm the weirdo?"
"Uh huh"
"Since when?!"
"Since we met"
"Says the person who keeps barging in my shop"
"You like it though right?" You look up at him expectantly. "Like w-what?"
You gesture with your hands. "This?"
"This what?"
"You're always alone here, you must be grateful that I always visit."
"Yeah, always"
"What does that mean!" You put your hands on your waist. "It means you're always here, so you're like an everyday occurance by now"
You roll your eyes as he finishes up the list.
"Here's the last one—" you frown as he pauses. "What?"
"Isn't this," he picks up the list again. "It's for.."
You gulp, your fingers fumble with the wooden seat.
"N-no, no, it's not" you avert your eyes from him, the floor looking a little more interesting today.
"It's for nightmares isn't it?"
"I don't know, he only gave the list, nothing else."
"It is for nightmares, why do you need these?"
"I don't know, it's not for me." You clench your fists. "If it was for him he'd tell me himself"
Your eyes try to find something, anything, to tell him.
"I think it's for Mae okay? Maybe, maybe she's having nightmares and, and maybe he doesn't want it to distract her.."
"But I al—" he pauses, his jaw flexing. "I already gave him these."
His eyes narrow on you, like a deer in the headlights you could only look away.
"Tell me?" His soft voice lures you to him. "Are you having them?"
"No.." you sigh, do you tell him you're making the potion out of spite for your master? For making one for Mae and not for you, ugh it all sounds childish now, before you left you had a plan, and now you look like a child caught.
"Just—" you let out a deep breath. "Give it, and I'll be on my way"
He stares at you for a moment, before placing everything in a small pouch. You thanked him and left the credits on the table before hurriedly leaving, you could still feel his stare at the back of your head.

First kisses
word count; 761 – f!reader
Goshiki would always ask the rest of the team to have lunch together, all starry-eyed in contrast with the way he tried to look chill. So when he stopped asking, Semi definitely noticed.
The setter looked around with a keen eye after picking up his tray, leaning around the corners to try and find the younger volleyball player.
He spotted him over by the windows, at the end of a table sitting opposite of you.
The two of you were laughing and talking, leaning towards each other with eagerness at whatever topic you were discussing.
Goshiki’s ankles were locked together under his chair and you were quietly tapping your feet. The innocent infatuation was so obvious it made Semi smile softly.
“Did Goshiki get a girlfriend?” he asked the other third-years as he sat down.
“Mom of the group and you haven’t noticed Goshiki gushing about his new girlfriend?” Tendo asked, cackling loudly and making others turn with dirty looks.
Semi rolled his eyes. “Washijo made me train with Shirabu this week,” he argued.
“Well, our dear youngest starting player has gotten himself an adorable little girlfriend.”
Goshiki followed you to your club after school, holding your hand with a spring in his step while you walked and then hugging you before leaving. The second he rounded the corner out of your sight, he took off in a sprint towards the gym. He barely made it on time, blending in with the others just as Washijo blew the whistle, telling everyone to gather around.
They walked onto the court in teams of three, and Semi patted Goshiki hard on the shoulder. “Kiki, congrats on getting a girlfriend!”
Goshiki’s cheeks heated up and he nodded proudly. “Thank you. She’s so cute, I think I love her.”
Semi whistled and Taichi scoffed at what he heard. “Have you kissed?” he teased, watching as Goshiki’s pride broke down in two seconds.
“K-kissed?”
After your clubs finished, Goshiki waited for you outside, taking your hand so you could walk together towards the dorms. As you got to where the girls and boys were split to each half of the building, you slowed to a stop.
He turned to you and took in a sharp breath, hand feeling clammy in yours but still holding on.
You smiled at him with that sweet smile he liked so much, and he almost forgot what he was going to say, smiling back at you instead with a soft laugh. “How was club?”
“Really good! I think this will get me a huge boost for college admissions,” you answered, then told him about your latest project while he listened. However, his eyes drifted slightly downwards now and then.
“That’s great, I hope I can see it when you’re done,” he said. There was a slight pause as he stepped a little closer, blinking nervously.
“Tsutomu?” you whispered.
“Can we kiss?”
You took a sharp breath, trying to contain your smile to seem a little cool about it and suddenly worrying immensely about your breath. “Yes.”
He leaned closer in intervals, a little at a time, the other hand resting on your waist because he wasn’t sure where else to put it. You put your free hand on his shoulder, slowly trailing up to the nape of his neck as his puckered lips finally met yours.
They were slightly dry, you thought, but the butterflies that took over your stomach didn’t let you dwindle much on that fact. It was just a small kiss, but you were both giggling with happy smiles as you pulled away.
“Goodnight then,” he giggled, leaning in to once again peck your lips before turning around and walking to his dorm.
“Goodnight, Tsuto!”
Come morning, the team had early practice before classes started and Goshiki skipped out of the locker room. Semi raised an eyebrow, Tendo smirked knowingly, and Ushijima spoke up about it. “You seem happy.”
“It’s nothing,” he shrugged, sitting down to do some stretches before they began.
Semi tsk-ed and leaned on his shoulders, forcing him into a bigger stretch. “Come on, you can tell us.”
Goshiki winced and controlled his breathing as his muscles warmed up. “We… kissed.”
And while the second-years watched in disgust, all the third-years exploded into whoops and cheers while the first-year flushed at the attention.
“Whatever guys, it’s not that big of a deal,” he said, acting coy, but it was obvious to everyone that this was a big deal for him.
Now he needs to figure out the best time to tell you he loves you.

More Than You Expect (Spencer Reid x Fem!BAU!Reader)
——————
Author Masterlist
Part 1: More Than You Know
Part 2: More Than You Say
——————
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Fem!exBAU!Reader.
Summary: You have a new life, and Spencer isn't in it. But somehow, you both cross paths again. Will it be just like the wind passing, or will it stick?
Word Count: 7k
TW: ANGST WITH "HOPEFUL" ENDING. Strong language. Mention of sex, illicit acts, jail, typical CM things. A character gets injured (nothing life-threatening). If I forgot something, please let me know.
A/N: The last part of the trilogy "More Than You..." It's done, folks. What started like a one-shot a year ago is complete now. Thank you for all the comments I got about this one, your likes, and your reblogs. Tell me your thoughts about it.
——————
Big changes are usually something people are eager for or afraid of. You are in the second group. You don't like changes. There's no way you stayed in the BAU for more than a decade if it weren't in part for fear of making big changes in your life.
It's not that you don't like to imagine new things or dream of something different, but uncertainty is something you aim to avoid at all costs.
Although your predisposition, when you confessed your feelings to Spencer on a fateful afternoon at the BAU three years ago, you knew a big shift was coming, and there was no turning back. That same night, after he left your apartment, you knew it would be the last time you would see him.
And boy, that one was a hell of a change.
After thirteen years of spending together almost every day, he would no longer be a part of your life.
You handed your resignation letter to Emily the next morning. She tried to convince you to stay, but deep down, Prentiss knew whatever reason she could give you, it wasn't enough. You had already made up your mind.
-----------
From one big city to another. New York welcomed you with open arms. The NY FBI field office did, too.
Although you chose to stay as an FBI agent, your job would be slightly different from the one you had been doing at the BAU when you joined the Organize Crime division.
It was a little intimidating at first. There was a lot of action, certainly a lot of undercover missions, a bunch of criminals, too many drug busts and guns. In summary, a lot of everything. But with time, you learned that OC has so plenty of shit targets as the BAU had. It wasn't rare to come face to face with psychopaths sometimes. And your training as a profiler has come in handy more than once.
After you left DC, you never looked back. You asked Emily to please not tell anyone where you would go. You also write a letter to Garcia, pleading not to track you down, assuring her you would be fine, and if the future would make you cross paths again, so be it, but please do not push it. She replied with a full four-page letter, agreeing with your request but giving you her thoughts about why she felt you were doing wrong.
You appreciated her honestly, but it was done.
No listening to Prentiss's instructions, Spencer tried to reach you regardless. Your phone kept receiving daily calls and texts for months. You didn't reply to any of them.
Until someday, it stopped.
You should have felt relief, and sort of you did, but it was a bittersweet feeling knowing the last string that kept it joined to your old life was cut.
That was the change, and you took it.
Were you doing okay? Did you accept it without consequences? No.
But the new job needed to do its magic. You were so consumed by what you were committed to doing that nothing else mattered.
In the past three years, you have gone undercover so many times, some of them with direct life risk, but you were in one piece. You have been shot and stabbed, though, giving you enough scars to talk about.
Your teammates were and are still very surprised by your versatility and compromise. Your philosophy? Do the job, take another case, work your ass on it, and catch the bad guys.
They even started calling you the Lone Ranger. Why? Although your work involves a task group with more agents, most of the time, your missions are in solitary— weeks or months of not having contact with your team until there is some break in the case.
Once the job is done, you return home and just shut off from the world.
You only socialize after work a little or the bare minimum. Just a few colleagues know things about you besides your prominent former career as a profiler in DC. And certainly, nobody knows the true reason why you moved to New York in the first place.
It's better this way, and you are used to it.
And what about your current love life? While in DC, you didn't have one because you were pining for Spencer; in New York, you don't have one because nothing seems too serious to think of it.
Flings? Of course. But that's all. In some way, you became the same kind of person you criticized in Spencer.
Life works in mysterious ways.
-----------
"The NYPD called us an hour ago asking for one of our most wanted, Vincent Clark," your boss, Agent Lindstrom, says as Monday's morning meeting starts.
It's not something uncommon. Local police have their own OC task force, and you have worked together more than once. The weird thing is that from one moment to the next, they request information from a target, of which, in theory, only your team knows.
"And they want information because-" you enunciate the obvious question.
"They're working on a case involving a string of civilian murders in Manhattan, and for some reason, his name came up," Lindstrom fills.
"Murders? It doesn't sound like Clark's MO," John Miller - a colleague - muses.
"Certainly not. NYPD has to be wrong," you back Miller's observation.
"And why NYPD-OC are investigating civilian murders? Does it have to do with some kind of operation?" Adam Taylor - another teammate - asks.
"Not quite. The local task force is helping 1PP because things have been escalating pretty quickly," Lindstrom explains. "But we here must find out why Clark is a person of interest and verify if they're indeed wrong about him. We don't want them to blow up our intel for no reason. So, Taylor and (Y/L/N), you're assigned to go with NYPD and help to clear this up."
That's how you got a new assignment. And not as undercover; that's a shift.
Taylor is driving this time, and you only look out the window, focusing on nothing in particular.
"You okay?" He asks after some time, resting a hand on your knee. You turn to see him.
"Yeah, why?"
"You are too quiet. Maybe you are mad at me?" Taylor asks tentatively. You raise an eyebrow.
"Why would I?" He clears his throat at your question.
"Well. Because, you know, we haven't talked about the other night."
The other night. Adam is referring to when you came back from your last undercover mission of four months and ended up in his bed at the end of the day.
You tensed at his response. You knew it was a bad idea to sleep with him, but you always thought about it as stress relief, and you thought he understood the same.
"There is nothing to talk about, Adam. We both know what it was." You try to sound cool but soft as well so as not to hurt feelings - if they were there.
"Yeah. Yeah, I know. I just was making sure you were okay with it."
Why do men have the compulsion to mask a question that only cares about them, like uninterested concern about you?
"I am. Don't worry," you assure Adam with a confident smile.
To your ease, the conversation ends there.
You always have kept your distance in this job, with the prerogative of not getting involved with colleagues. What went on with Taylor is still bothering you because it was something that shouldn't have happened in the first place.
-----------
The NYPD quarters welcome you with Captain Novak's handshake. Soon, you learn he wasn't aware the locals had called your boss for intel.
"I'm sorry you had to come here. We are already having the FBI help on this," Novak explains. It's a way to say they don't need you there.
But you have a job to do, so you can't just leave.
"Due to the information we got, I think we can be useful too, Captain," you point, as Taylor backs you up saying something similar.
Novak understands he should use all hands available, so he agrees to have you stay and join the group working on the case.
"Yeah. I think any information would be useful in this case. Come on, I'm going to introduce you to the task group working on this." You and Taylor follow him down a hall to the end, where a large meeting room is.
After opening the door, Novak is ready to make the formal introductions.
"As I told you, an FBI unit is helping us on this. Here is the BAU team. Agent Prentiss, Rossi, Alvez, Jareau, Lewis, and Reid."
Your breath suddenly hitch in your throat at the sight of your old team there. And everyone is looking back at you with a perplexed look as well.
Novak continues talking. "These are Agent (Y/L/N) and Taylor from the OC division." After a second of contemplation, Novak let out a chuckle. "Ha, it's weird. I have to introduce two FBI teams working on the same case with the NYPD."
The guy has a bizarre sense of humor, but he has a sense of humor nonetheless; you have to give him that.
Not that you keep a count, but it has been three years, two months, and twenty days since the last time you saw them. Plus seven hours if you consider the last time you saw Spencer. Since the night you kicked him out of your apartment.
You can't help but make eye contact with him. You both look shocked. And how not to be? Neither of you woke up this morning thinking about seeing each other again.
"Agent (Y/L/N), it's nice to see you again. Good thing OC wants to help here. I can tell you about what we have got so far."
Emily speaks, breaking the silence and setting the rules of the current interaction. She is as surprised as everyone, but it would be time for that later.
It's a welcomed way out of the uncomfortable moment, and you take it.
"Sure. Do you think Agent Taylor could catch up with the intel you got from the current suspect?"
Emily nods. "Of course, Lewis, Reid, can you help agent Taylor on that? Captain Novak, maybe you can give some insight from the locals, too?"
Tara and Novak agree verbally, while Spencer only gives a curt nod.
Spencer makes brief eye contact with you before leaving the room.
Hell, what were the odds of something like this happening? You chose OC in another city precisely because you would hardly end up working on the same case.
Well, fuck the improbability.
When you're left alone with the rest, you don't know whether to ignore the elephant in the room or acknowledge the three years in which none of them have heard from you.
"It's good to see you, bella," Rossi cuts your mind spiral.
"Yeah, hope New York has treated you well," Luke seconds.
"I'm sure OC is happy to have you," JJ adds.
Each one of your former teammates offers you positive words you didn't expect to hear after leaving the way you did.
"Thank you, guys," you mumble gratefully.
Prentiss speaks up before things turn too emotional.
"Okay, okay. We'll have time for that later. Now, we need to crack this case. Tell us (Y/N) what can help us catch this unsub?"
You proceed to explain your concern about whether they are focusing on the wrong suspect. Emily listens to you carefully, and the rest share their impressions. There is no clear conclusion, but you decide to proceed with caution, given Vincent Clark's importance to your team.
"Okay. This is what we are going to do. Luke, you and JJ track Clark's associates first. Discretely, of course. Dave, can you check with Garcia about what these buildings in this list have in common?"
Once they are all gone with a task in hand, you stay alone with Emily.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know they would call you for this case," Prentiss muses. Your mouth goes agape. Why is she apologizing to you?
"Emily, it's okay. It's me who should be sorry for disappearing like that. I - I never contacted you, and you have the right to -" You can't finish your idea because Emily cuts you off.
"I know what are you going to say, and no. We are not mad (Y/N), we understand. You didn't want to be found, and we get that."
You surely appreciate her reassurance, but it doesn't make the guilt go away.
"Spencer does, too?"
Emily furrows her eyebrows. "In a way, I think he does. But he won't tell you that," she confides.
It's better than nothing.
"Is he okay, though?" You ask, believing if his life improved after your departure, you could feel a bit less shitty.
"I can't answer that. You will have to ask him."
Emily's assertiveness strikes again, you think. She's right. It's unfair to talk about Spencer with you when you were adamant about her not speaking with him about you.
You nod. "Fair enough."
For the rest of the day, things are pretty hectic. Police officers and FBI agents are coming and going; new information comes to check, and there are more witnesses to interview. There's so much movement that you haven't been able to stop a second and think about how you feel seeing Spencer after three years.
Emily has been cautious about not assigning you tasks where you might coincide, but you still can see him in the police station, and you've even exchanged furtive glances from time to time.
Taylor catches you doing it one of those times.
"What's wrong?" At the question, you turn to see him.
"Uh? No. Nothing." You're too distracted to notice Adam doesn't believe you.
"So, they are your former team in DC," he remarks, trying to get you talking. Since you arrived at 1PP, you have barely said a word not work-related to Taylor.
"Yeah." It's the best you can give him. You know what Adam is doing, but you won't engage. You have a lot on your plate already.
Your mind starts mulling the idea of talking to Spencer. But why would you do that? You were very clear the last time you spoke about your need to step aside. You were explicit to him about not having the strength to keep supporting him in his free fall. Sure, he promised to change and all that jazz, but you knew staying would only have brought you more pain and disappointment.
Despite all the reasoning, in the back of your brain, there is still the question of whether he really did what he said he would do. It's a morbid thought you have sometimes entertained.
Taylor's hand on your shoulder brings you out of your thoughts. You look at him in a daze. "Novak is calling us," he announces, frowning. Adam knows there's more going on in your head than you let on, and he has a suspicion about what - or rather who - it's about.
-----------
It's late at night, and still, there are no clues solid enough to catch the unsub. You all start to feel the exhaustion but keep going. You haven't seen Spencer, Tara, or Rossi in a few hours, so you think Emily sent them to the hotel for the night.
Taylor told you he needed a break as well. So you're alone in one of the offices, going through folder after folder in case you overlooked something.
You're so focused that you jump when you notice the silhouette of someone standing in the doorway.
It's Spencer.
"Jesus! You scared me," you exclaim with a hand over your chest.
"I'm sorry. I didn't want to do that," Spencer apologizes, closing the door behind him. His voice is calm and collected. You inspect him with curious eyes.
"What are you doing here?" You ask, a little harsher than you have liked. Spencer contemplates his response for a couple of seconds.
"Uh, I just wanted to say hi and to know if you were doing okay?"
His voice is unsure, and you look at him in disbelief. It's your confusion that prompts him to continue. "Well, if this had happened months after you left, I would possibly have come to yell and accuse you for leaving like that. Now? Just let's say I wanted to make sure you are doing okay," he clarifies, hands in his pockets.
"Well. I'm doing okay. I hope that satisfies your curiosity." Your response is curt and snarky, and you don't know really why. He hasn't said anything out of the ordinary. Spencer doesn't seem surprised by your tone, though.
"It does. Thank you."
And maybe it's enough for Spencer to turn and leave you alone, but you have the question at the tip of your tongue.
"So you're not mad at me?"
Spencer narrows his eyes. "Uh, I didn't say I'm not mad. I said I'm not here to throw it at you," he clarifies.
For some reason, the answer to your own question ignites an old bitterness you thought was gone.
"Oh, thank you very much," you mock. "A bit bold of you, don't you think?"
Spencer scoffs. "Bold? Bold being mad after you left from one day to the next?"
And there you go. So, Spencer's main problem is that you left in a hurry rather than the reason why you did it.
"What did you expect? Did you think I was going to stay after what happened?" You ask with incredulity, standing from your spot and crossing your arms over your chest.
"Maybe not. But head-ups would have been nice," Spencer matches your sarcasm.
"Yeah, and a goodbye party, too," you deadpan, and Spencer breathes a humorless laugh. Your irony is pushing his buttons the way you know it does, even after all these years. But why are you doing it? You don't really know.
"(Y/N), you literally disappeared! I was - we all were worried. I know you didn't want to talk to me or see me, for that matter. But why leave the BAU like that?"
Spencer looks distraught just at the mention of that fact. You don't interrupt his rant.
"For months, I really thought something bad had happened to you until Emily told me you were actually okay and that I should stop bothering you."
"It took you long enough," you mutter under your breath.
For a long time, you thought your reaction and later decision to leave like that was too much. Maybe it wasn't necessary to drop everything to start over, but you knew if you wanted to leave behind thirteen years of a lot of things, thirteen years of Spencer Reid, you needed to do something big—a major change.
"Yeah. It took me long enough. But don't expect me to be cool about it. It hurt (Y/N). It hurt like hell," Spencer admits.
"Why? Weren't you living the life you wanted?" you ask sardonically, and you see how Spencer's jaw clenches.
"You know I didn't. And I told you back then I realized about that, too," Spencer says, referring to the last time you saw each other—the night you kissed, and he told you he loved you, but you didn't believe him.
"But I get it. I understood why you didn't trust I was telling the truth, and it was fair. But to disappear like that? It was a lot (Y/N)."
In some way, you truly think Spencer's feelings about what happened are reasonable, and even you can understand the grudge he holds against you. But you are not in place to admit that to him. Not when the memory of what happened starts to burn in your brain and heart again.
"Are you done?" Pettiness is the only thing at hand you can use for now.
Spencer sighs. "I don't want you to think I'm admonishing you or whatever you think I'm doing. I really get I did wrong back then, and I hurt you. I'm not dismissing that fact."
"Good! Because here I was thinking you already forgot," you state, raising your voice.
"Jesus, (Y/N). Can you stop that?" Spencer's voice raises, too, to match yours.
You are about to make another remark when the door opens.
"(Y/L/N), we are going to -," Taylor starts to say but is cut off when he sees you with Spencer arguing. You both get startled and turn to see him. "Am I interrupting?" Taylor questions with eyebrows furrow.
"No-"
"Yes-"
You and Spencer reply in unison and make Taylor hesitate. "(Y/N)?" he asks you directly this time, tentatively approaching. He looks worried, and you don't want to make a fuss right now.
"It's okay, Adam. We are discussing something about the case. I'll finish here and join you, okay?" you say, with a soothing hand on his elbow.
"Yeah, okay. Yeah. I'll be with Novak," an unconvinced Taylor says as he retracts from the office, leaving you and Spencer alone again.
When you turn to see Spencer, he has his eyes trained on you, analyzing you. It's a piercing gaze you haven't seen in him in a long time—years, to be exact.
"What?" You ask, trying to break the trance. It seems to work because Spencer clears his throat.
"Nothing. Uh. I should go. Emily must be looking for me," he mumbles before passing you. Almost leaving the office, he turns for a moment.
"I really wanted to know you were okay. I'm sorry for what I said after that."
When the door closes behind him, you are left standing, questioning whether the last ten minutes have actually happened.
-----------
'I'm sorry for what I said after that.'
Why is he sorry? Is it because he didn't mean it? Is it because he didn't want you to know?
It's not that you feel guilty, or maybe you do to some extent. Whatever it is, the thought of Spencer in the past three years has haunted you in many ways and forms.
Yeah, you came to New York to put distance between yourself and him, but what you never saw coming is that sole fact started to weigh on you in many aspects of your life. At first, you thought that due to the bond you both had forged for years, things would not look very good. Sure, it was going to take a lot of work, but you thought time would do its magic.
You tried—you have been trying hard. And even though you still believe it was the right thing to do, why have you yet to make peace with yourself?
Why has happiness been elusive to you? You haven't been able to make real friends; you haven't been able to have a healthy relationship. You've immersed yourself in the job, hoping sooner rather than later, the moment when the pieces finally fit together will come.
Will it ever happen?
When you think about that, your mind wanders to Spencer and whether what you're feeling now is anything like how he felt at the time. Or maybe how he still feels. You don't know. The times you have thought about it always end with the conclusion it's not the same. He had you back then. You don't have anybody.
Seeing him now only has fueled your self-struggle, and although you think it's not fair to take it on him this time, your actions haven't reflected that thought.
After considering your encounter in the precinct office, you concluded the best thing to do is to keep the peace between you both. To be civil and avoid the bickering. You are an adult; you can do that.
What you didn't expect is it hasn't been necessary to put your resolution into practice since you haven't run into Spencer again. The times you've seen him, he's barely made eye contact and immediately gone in the opposite direction from you.
In the meantime, the hours have passed, and you are almost ending your second day on the case, at least with more progress than the day before.
There is a good clue about who the unsub is—Albert Thomas, who has a direct link to Vincent Clark, your target from OC. Indeed, the unsub would be part of Clark's team.
Given that, you and Taylor inform your boss, and he allows you to participate in the takedown only if you can get Clark as well. It would be the conclusion of more than a year of chasing him.
It is a complicated operation, so everyone—officers from the NYPD, the BAU, and the OC division—prepares to catch Thomas and those involved with him.
Upon arriving at the abandoned building where you expect Thomas to be, Emily sends you in pairs to different points. You go with Taylor to cover the back door. Upon entering, you realize it is suspiciously quiet. The lighting is bad, but you don't want to use your flashlight so as not to alert them about your presence. You go first, and Taylor covers you. You arrive at a room where some light sneaks in. You go a little forward and peek, realizing Clark is filling some briefcases with money. He has his back on you, so he doesn't notice your presence.
"FBI! Hands up!" you shout, approaching with your gun pointed at Clark. He turns around but doesn't seem scared. Why? He is not alone.
Unfortunately, that thought comes too late. In a matter of seconds, Thomas pounces on you, throwing you to the floor. Your weapon falls meters from you. You know Taylor is behind you, but you see Clark grab his briefcases and run towards another escape door.
“(Y/N)!” Taylor shouts, and you barely hear him in your fight with Thomas. But you know if he stops to help you, you'll lose Clark.
"Go for Clark!" You shout him back, rolling on the ground after Thomas jabs your face with his fist.
You can't see Taylor, but you know he is hesitant. "Go!" you insist until you hear him running outside. Now, you can focus on Thomas. You manage to asset a blow to his jaw and push him away from you, but as you are kneeling and about to stand, he is on the floor pointing you a gun.
Where did he get that?
He is going to shoot you. You can see it in his eyes. You know the profile, too. He hasn't nothing to lose. You need to think fast. Talking to him won't make a difference. You decide your best chance is launching at him and pray the bullet doesn't hit you badly.
But before you can do so, you hear a gunshot. You close your eyes because you think it's coming from Thomas's gun. When you notice you don't feel any impact and you hear Thomas's screams of pain, you dare to open your eyes.
Spencer is standing with his revolver pointed at him. He was the one who shot, preventing Thomas from shooting you.
You let out a sigh of relief before collapsing to the floor. Although you didn't get shot, you are very beaten up, and the adrenaline rush leaves you without the energy to keep yourself on your feet.
Spencer is fast to catch you before you hit your head. There is commotion around, but you can barely hear anything. Even Thomas's screams sound far away.
"Hey, hey. I've got you," Spencer mumbles, adjusting you in a lying position, holding the back of your head in his hands.
"Thank you," you breathe out.
You won't notice much of what happens next. Paramedics come to check you out, but you only focus on the squeeze of Spencer's hand in yours. It's the only thing that grounds you as your eyes begin to feel progressively heavy. There comes a point where everything goes black, and you lose consciousness.
When you wake up, you are in a hospital bed. You see Adam with his back to you, talking on the phone, possibly to your boss. When he hangs up the call, you get his attention.
"What happened?" Your voice is raspy, so you assume it's been a couple of hours since you got there. Taylor turns and gives you a little smile.
"It's good to see you awake."
Adam tells you he caught Clark, and they can link him not only to Thomas's murders but to all the evidence against him you have been collecting over the last year. Adam also tells you what the doctor said about your condition. Despite the pretty bad blows you got, there is nothing serious, and you will be able to be discharged in a few hours.
"Where is Spencer?" you blurt out, not fully registering what you asked. A slip you quickly try to disguise. "I mean, the BAU. They have Thomas in custody?"
"Yeah. They brought Thomas to check the GWS, and after his discharge, he got into custody. And yeah, Agent Prentiss and Agent Reid came to check on you a few times," Taylor adds to his recounting with a knowing look you prefer to ignore.
Why does learning they came to check on you make your chest feel warm? You blame the medication the doctors surely gave you.
As Taylor said, a few hours later, you are discharged from the hospital with instructions to go home and not back to work in a week.
Your boss gives you the instructions on the phone. He sounds very happy to have Clark in custody and even mentions a promotion for you for such a successful operation.
You should be happy, right? But in all honesty, it doesn't feel like it.
You decide to go home to catch some needed sleep. Maybe sleeping helps to stop overthinking things. But before you can doze off, a ding from your phone grabs your attention.
Emily P: 'I hear you were discharged. We are leaving tomorrow morning. Would you like to celebrate with us and have a drink tonight? For old-time's sake?'
A nostalgic smile forms on your lips. A drink with your old team? Why not? Even if Spencer is going to be there, you already think it's time to make peace with what happened for your own good and mental health.
-----------
The sound of music and laughter makes the bar feel lively and festive. Upon entering, that's the first thing you notice. The second thing you notice is you haven't been to this place for a while, being one of your regulars when you just moved to New York. At the back of the bar, you can see Emily, Luke, JJ, Rossi, Tara, and Spencer talking and laughing, each with their drink of choice. It's good to see them like this, relaxed, enjoying the moment. It brings back very good memories.
"(Y/N)!" Emily calls you, and everyone turns to see you. You wave and stroll where they are.
When you sit down, the first thing they do is ask you how you feel after the beating Thomas gave you. You don't know if it's on purpose or not, but no one is referring to the fact he almost put a bullet in you.
The conversation flows animatedly. While you tell the most notable anecdotes from your missions in OC, they review some of their most important cases from the last three years of the BAU. The ones who talk the most are Emily, Luke, and Rossi. While JJ and Tara rather break jokes and are more affected by alcohol than the rest. Spencer is the quietest of all, but he also participates in the conversation and even asks you questions about the things you say.
If you thought it might be an awkward instance, your former team proves the opposite, even considering the circumstances and reasons why you left the BAU. And although no one refers to it, everyone tacitly knows that it is there.
They don't resent you. They understood you needed to leave, and although you didn't tell them the reasons, they knew. Even Spencer seems comfortable when you have thought he wouldn't.
The conversation comes to a stop when Emily raises her glass, clearing her throat.
"Well. Uh. It's a weird time for this, but I do think things happen for a reason," Emily prephase, looking at everybody. "So, okay. Here we are tonight with an old friend who left the nest a few years ago," Emily looks at you. "To say goodbye to another of our own who is also embarking on new paths," now her eyes settle on Spencer. "I wish you the best in your new life. We'll miss you a lot. To Reid and his last case at the BAU," Emily toasts.
As everyone raises their glasses and cheers, you can't help but look at Spencer with surprised eyes.
Is he really leaving the BAU? After all these years? Did his last case end with him saving you from a bullet?
He gives you a short glance before sipping his beer.
"Come on, we want a speech," Luke demands, and everyone backs him. You're still in shock to say anything.
Spencer's cheeks redden a bit as he clears his throat before speaking.
"When Gideon recruited me for this job, I never imagined all the things I would experience in 17 years working here—the good and bad. I will always fondly remember everyone I met here and had the honor of working with." Spencer's eyes now focus on you.
"On my first day, I was so nervous I thought I was going to mess it up. But in the conference room, I met someone who was also on her first day. Knowing I wasn't the only one helped me not to run away."
Everyone is listening with raptor attention, and you know they are looking at you from the corner of their eyes.
"Do you remember the times we said everyone would leave before us?" He asks you, and now it's your turn to feel your cheeks burn.
"Well, it didn't happen that way. But I guess Emily is right, and things happen for a reason," he muses. "I wish some things could have been different, but we can't change the past," he says before averting your gaze. "I only hope the bond we forged all these years remains, even if we don't see each other that much or at all. I thank you for everything you have done for me, especially at my lowest points. I apologize for the little I gave in return," his gaze returns to you. "Thank you, guys. I'll miss you all."
Everyone clinks glasses, and Spencer's eyes keep on you. Why does the air feel suffocating from one moment to the next? You don't know what to do; the intensity of his gaze is overwhelming, and you think if you don't do something, you will faint right there.
You discretely apologize and get up from your spot. You need air.
Once outside, the cold of the night hits your face, but it is welcomed.
Your heart is still beating fast. Why are you so affected? Is it because Spencer is leaving the BAU? Are the memories he brought back during the toast?
"Are you okay?" A shy voice says behind you. It's Spencer. He followed you outside. You turn to see him with pained eyes, and Spencer worries even more. "What is it? Do any of the bruises hurt?"
Spencer believes your discomfort is physical. How ironic. In the last hours, you had even forgotten the beating you got.
You shake your head. "No, I'm okay. It's not that," you admit, and Spencer doesn't say anything, waiting for you to continue. "Is it true? Are you leaving?" He nods. "Why?"
It's weird how that fact has shaken you—or maybe not that weird. You never pictured Spencer in a place other than the BAU. You even talked about it several times. Like you, Spencer has never liked to make big changes, and you understand him more than anyone because you still feel the same about that.
"It doesn't make sense for me to stay anymore. It has been like that for a while," he shrugs.
"But you love the BAU. You always told me it was your life," you remind him. Spencer lets escape a little chuckle.
"You told me the same thing years ago, and you left nonetheless."
"It wasn't the same," you dismiss, shaking your head.
"I know. But since then, I've been questioning my reasons to stay."
"Why?"
Spencer takes some seconds to contemplate his response.
"Well. Maybe because it should have happened sooner? Honestly, I think the only reason I lasted this long after I was released from prison is because you were there supporting me. And well, after that? It took me months of therapy to realize it and almost two years to make the decision," he confesses. You are quite shocked hearing him talk about prison and therapy. Those things were banned for to mention three years ago.
"Months of therapy?"
Spencer shrugs again. "What can I say? I took your advice. You were right. I needed help to know what I really wanted."
His words bring you back to that night. The last time you saw each other. You wondered for a long time if Spencer got to make sense of what you said to him. Did he understand how hard it was for you to decide to step aside?
"You know? At first, I started it because I had the secret hope you would come back. And I promised you to change. With time and the certainty I had lost you, I began to accept I had to do it for myself."
Spencer's eyes drift to the distance like he can see those moments of realization he had back then.
"Did you?" Your voice is soft, trying not to cut him off from his reminiscence. His gaze comes back to you.
"Yes. And I thank you for it. I know I said a lot of other things at the precinct, but above all, I understood. I still think it's unfair, though."
"Unfair? Why?"
"I pushed you to do something I'm sure you didn't want to. It was me who should have left, not you."
"Spencer-" you start to say, but he cuts you off.
"I know, it is done. But what I said at the toast? I really meant it. I wish some things would have been different. Jeez, there are a lot of things I should have done differently. I wish I hadn't gone to Mexico. I wish I had told you I loved you sooner. I wish I hadn't chickened out when we first kissed."
Spencer's voice trembles a little. He is pouring out a lot of emotions, and you are there trying to digest all of them.
"But you said it yourself. It's done." Your tone isn't accusatory rather than nostalgic. He nods, clearing his throat.
"I know. And I can't go back in time to change it," Spencer acknowledges.
"Why are you leaving, then?" You are not saying it as if it's the wrong thing to do this time; it's more that you need confirmation that he is not running from reality as he did back then.
"Because I need to find my fresh start, as you did it. Well, and because after 17 years, to stay catching serial killers is not healthy, according to my therapist," he pulls a face after his last statement, making you chuckle.
"Am I listening correctly? Will Spencer Reid do what a shrink recommended to him?" you quip.
"What can I say? I'm a new man," Spencer shrugs, and you smile for real.
It's clear to you that he says it jokingly, but there is some truth behind it. It is not that people can go completely against their essence, but time has proven to you that things can change, and it's not necessarily totally good or totally bad. It's just different in shades of gray. And as something different, there is nothing wrong in looking for another change from time to time, even if that throws you out of your comfort zone.
As you both stand there, you realize that things in life are not linear. They are constantly coming and going. It's laugh and cry, condemn and forgive, mess up and amend.
"It's getting cold here," you start, and Spencer nods. "But I know a coffee shop nearby that is open this hour. Would you-? I mean, so we can keep talking. You don't have to, of course. I know you guys have a flight early in the morning." It's tentative; you can't really read him. Are you overstepping? Your overthinking dissolves when you see a grin forming on Spencer's lips.
"I, uh. I'd love to. I mean, to keep talking. Sure."
"Great. Okay. This way," you point, starting to stroll down the sidewalk. You adjust your coat to shield your neck from the cold as Spencer shoves his hands in his own coat pockets, walking beside you.
In a comfortable silence, you both bask in each other company. Is it like it used to be? Not quite. But it's a familiarity you can relish—a newfound understanding of what changes mean between you both.
Enough to lead you to talk for hours, laughing at your own silliness and crying at the painful admissions, causing Spencer to lose his flight the next morning.
Enough to make you leave New York months later and start teaching at the FBI Academy while Spencer gets his tenure at Georgetown.
And who knows? Maybe it's the same understanding that, six months later, will make you pursue a new step after a kiss under the street lights on a cold night in DC.

Fem. Gojo showing you her domain
You were lying on your bed mindlessly watching videos until you heard a tap on your window. You went in front of it, readying your cursed technique in case it was an enemy. After what happened with toji you were not going to take any more chances. You were very relieved to see it was just your girlfriend. You opened the window and let her come in
"Oh, satori, what are you doing here?"
"What? Can't a girl visit her boyfriend once in a while?"
"I meant why were you outside my window?"
"Your dorm is on the second floor, and I just got back from a training session. No way I'm gonna do all those stairs"
"It's like two flights, and you thought floating was easier?"
"Hey I got my technique I'm gonna use it"
"Whatever, anyway so why did you wanna visit?"
"Oh yeah, I got something super cool to show you"
She smiled brightly and pointed at herself in a dramatic manner
"Guess who just perfected her domain expansion?"
"....For real?"
"For real real, it took training and a lot of mochis to power up but I finally did it"
"That's so cool, tori. domain expansions are the peak of jujutsu, I'm so proud of you"
"Well, of course I'd be able to do it sooner or later, I am the strongest after all but thanks for the praise"
"Don't mention it"
"Soooo are you ready to see it or what?"
"Won't it hurt me?"
"Nah, it's a non lethal domain.......kinda"
"....that's not really reassuring"
"Come on, don't you trust me? It's beautiful to look at, it's gonna be a nice date place"
"*sighs* fine but if I die my ghost will haunt you forever"
"Don't worry, I'll never let anything happen to you"
You were slightly taken aback by her serious tone, but she quickly went back to her silly self as she smiled again, put her hands together, and disappeared, you sighed and waited for a few seconds before she reappeared with an embarrassed expression on her face
"S-sorry, I forgot you can't-"
"It's fine let's just go"
You went outside (using the door this time), and in the courtyard, gojo stood near you and held your hand
"You gotta keep holding my hand. If you don't, then you might be in a coma for a couple of months k?"
".....what?"
"Don't worry, it'll be fine. You can hug me if you're really worried, I certainly wouldn't complain~"
"*sighs* just get on with it"
She smiled again and took off her shades, revealing the blue eyes you loved to stare at, put them in her pockets, and did her domain hand sign with her free hand.
"Domain expansion: infinite void"
Suddenly, black filled your vision as you got transported into her domain, an endless plane of black with white spots, satori's grip on you tightened as she looked back at you
"Soooo what do you think? Pretty nice to look at isn't it?"
"Yeah, it's beautiful, but I guess it was guaranteed that a beautiful girl like you would have a beautiful domain"
"Eh, such a charmer. You're gonna make me blush if you continue"
You sat down, and she did the same. Her hand made its way up your body until it reached your shoulder. She pulled you into a side hug and layed her head on your shoulder
"You know I love you right?"
"Yeah you tell me that every day"
"No, I mean like love, love you. You're the best thing that ever happened to me"
"*giggle* really? The great satori gojo loves me this much? I'm honored"
"You should be, but seriously, after geto left, you're the only person I have left. Sure, I have shoko, but to be honest, I don't think she cares that much about me. Even if she did, she can't really understand me.....sometimes I feel so...lonely"
You silently side hugged her back as you saw her blue eyes become slightly lucid while looking around
"I guess it's fitting that my domain is a big empty void cause that's where I feel like I'm in sometimes........"
"Except when I'm with you of course"
You turned to see her smiling brightly and staring at you lovingly
"You're what keeps me going. You're someone that i know will never leave me. i love you so much"
"I love you too"
You two kissed passionately and looked at each other with pure love
"Alright, I think that was enough. If I keep my domain going for longer, I might get tired, I'll undo it now"
She did as she said and put her shades back on
"How about we go out to eat? It's almost dinnertime and there's a really good spot around here"
"Sure if we bring megumi and tsumiki too"
"Uh?..........dammit I forgot about them....do you think they'll be mad at me?"
"*sighs* you're such a mess of a mom, we can buy them some toys on the way home, maybe they'll forgive you then"
"Great idea, you're a life saver babe"
"It's nothing. Let's just go"
She dragged around as you brought the toys and food for your adopted children.
No matter what happened, you would stick by gojo's side, and she would, of course, do the same

Gonna hold you
Gonna kiss you in my arms
Gonna take you away from harm
a/n: So first and foremost, this is an early birthday present to my one and only true mate @brekkershadowsinger. You're an absolute love of my life and I'll never get tired of telling you that! Second of all, be gentle with me I haven't written for Az in a hot minute. 🤍
request: Since your requests are open could I ask for a Azriel x reader scenario? One where they are pinning for each other but someone obssesed with reader seduces/controls her with a enchantment or a spell and suceeds at some point, but our batboy realizes and comes to save her and that's when the bond snaps.
warnings: capture, kidnapping, murder... yeah
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
"You're so smitten", Cassian says, trying to catch up with Azriel, who strides past the streets of Velaris. "No, I am not", the male grumbles back, picking up his pace. The two batboys were making their way to the little bakery that had opened not long ago. Well, it wasn't the bakery itself that was the reason for the trip, even if the baked goods there were to die for. It was you and you alone who had Azriel go there every free moment that he had.
"No, but you so are", Cassian said once again, since Azriel slowed down slightly while his thought lingered. "I swear if you don't shut up…", "You will stab me, burry me where no one could find me…", Cassian bent finger after finger as he named all the threats Azriel had made in the past two weeks since you had walked into his life. "But, dear friend, I'm mated to Nesta, so be wary of that", Azriel rolled his eyes at that threat. "As if she doesn't want to leave you in the ditch herself most of the time". To that, Cassian let out a loud gasp, "You take that back", but Azriel didn't even bother as he stepped into the little building, bending slightly since the doors were rather low for his tall frame.
This place used to be an ancient supply store before the war, but the owner never returned. Rhys had worked night and day trying to provide for families, hold their broken lives in his hands, and help them build them right back up. But the town shifted. There were many more new faces. Quite a handful of refugees from different courts have traveled here, full of hope and dreams, and Rhys has welcomed them all. Among that mass was you.
And mother struck Azriel dead, but he had never seen anyone else that was even close to what you were. He doubted that you had any magical powers. But in his eyes, you were the goddess of beauty herself. Someone who felt like a home at first glance. Someone who made it feel right. Who finally made Azriel slow down. Who got him so lost in his own mind that Azriel forgot about the steps in training.
The spymaster caught you refilling some couple's cups with a bright smile, and it was as if the room was glowing alongside you. You lifted your head, probably weary of the eyes watching you, and your face lit up once more. With the last goodbyes, you moved to walk closer to Azriel. Who looked way too big for this tiny place with his broad shoulders.
"Amazing, you're here. I thought I'd have to sit next to this sulking ass all morning", Cassian said, beating you to your first hello and leaving you quietly taken back by his words. Azriel threw him a deathly glare before yanking his man bun backward, causing the soldier to stagger back. "Don't pay him any attention; hit his head during training", Azriel's grip didn't loosen, and you couldn't help but frown slightly. "Ice?", the shadow singer hummed. "If it's not too much trouble, and two cups of tea while you're at it". You nod quickly before rushing towards the back room. "If you'll open your mouth one more time", Azriel glared at Cassian, who looked more like a toddler who just got a proper scolding from his mother than a scary Illyrian, "I'll sit still and look pretty, soldiers promise".
Azriel wasn't sure why he took Cassian with him in the first place, but he just had to. A part of him was scared. He got nervous around you. It was like all of his systems would overheat, and he would start ranting the most stupid nonsense, looking like an absolute loser. And well, no one besides Cassian knew about the feelings blossoming in the spymaster's heart. He was the one to point out that Azriel had fallen for you. The one who encouraged his brother to go offer you help with getting the bakery ready. The one who told him how to compliment you from time to time, even if it came out slightly weird at times. Azriel had never truly taken a liking to someone to this extent. So he needed backup, and well, Cassian was the best he got.
"You sure you don't need to see a healer?", Azriel snapped his gaze up, watching as you carefully pressed the pack of ice to Cassian's head. "I'm a worrier, lady; I've seen worse", Cassian's fingers brushed yours as he took the pack from your delicate fingers. A part of Azriel grew jealous. He wouldn't call himself territorial, and well, you weren't his, but still, it just didn't sit well with him. "And I made you tea how you like it", Pushing the cup towards the shadow singer, you smiled lightly. "Dash of milk and some honey", "Thank you, Y/N.", Azriel gave you a tight smile. Cassian nudged him under the table slightly, but it didn't seem to change much.
Your eyes scanned the bakery; considering that it was still pretty early, you didn't have too many customers to tend to, so you pulled the chair for yourself, wanting nothing more but to stay in the Illyrian presence for as long as possible. "The paint for the walls came", you muttered quietly, "I didn't open all the cans but had to peek to see the color", a light giggle escaped your lips, and Azriel wished he could hear that sound forever. "Do you have someone to help you?", Azriel never really liked that his voice sounded so harsh compared to yours, but he just didn't know how to make it sound more gentle. You shook your head. "Brian still can't move his arm; the healer said it has to stay wrapped for at least a couple more weeks". Brian was an older male who came along with you. You had told Azriel that he was the closest thing to family you had ever had, and so Azriel grew to respect the man who had given up a lot just so he could provide for you.
"I can come by and help; the next couple of evenings are free for me", Azriel said, but you shook your head, "I can't ask the spymaster of the night court to help me paint the walls". It was nice for him to offer, but this was too much. They had all done way too much already. "Don't worry, Azriel over here is capable of many things", Cassian said, clapping his brother on the shoulder, "Getting dirty just happens to be one of them", and Cassian was surprised that his head didn't meet the tabletop after those words.
Azriel did return to the bakery that same evening. The place was much more lively. All the tables were occupied, and you were twirling around them like a little bee, buzzing away with a never-ending smile on your face. Your light was the first thing that made you way out of his league. Everything you were, Azriel wasn't, and all he could think of was how he would stain you with his darkness.
"We don't have free tables, but I can make you a spot by the counter if you want?", Azriel jumped slightly at the sound of your voice. Mother, he needed to stop daydreaming around you so much. It was not good for his image, yet he just can't seem to keep his head in check. If beforehand all he could think about was work and the past, now it was all occupied by you.
"I can always just stay here", Azriel blurted out, gesturing to the side of the street, making your eyes grow big. "And eat on the ground, no way". Your much smaller hand grabbed his palm. And Azriel wanted to pull away, not wanting you to feel the scars that covered his skin, but your soft skin only presses against his palm firmly as you dragged him through the filled room.
Only when you two stepped into the little side room did Azriel speak up again, "I came to help with the paint". Another bland response; he generally needed to start working on that, but then you didn't seem to mind it. But what if you did? What if that ended up being the reason why you would potentially reject him? Not that you would ever want to do anything with him anyway.
"Az no..", his name rolling from your lips sounded sweeter than honey, and Azriel had to hold himself back from asking you to say it once again. "I'll work on some paperwork till you close, then we'll start painting", The spymaster shrugged his shoulders, summoning one of his shadows and pointing to the pile of papers the little dark creature barely managed to hold up. You gave him a look. One of those looks that Azriel hadn't yet learned to read.
"You know you won't reach the top of the wall anyway", the spymaster tried to reason, but you only crossed your arms over your chest. "I can get a ladder", you shrugged, "And fall over potentially, no", Azriel's voice sounded way higher. And now all he could see was you laying there unconscious. You said nothing for a bit, then leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to Azriel's cheek. Some of his shadows started to twirl around him, causing the crimson blush on your cheeks to darken even more. You two lingered in silence tomorrow until you ran your hands over your apron and quietly slipped through the door back to the main part of the bakery. Azriel lifted his hand to his cheek, rubbing his fingers over the spot where your lips had been a moment ago.
"Can we paint shapes and then paint over them?", you giggled to yourself softly, a brush in your hand as you looked back at Azriel, who stood not far away from you, the sleeves of his shirt rolling up his arms, making his mucky arms seem even thicker. "Sure, do it if you feel like it", Azriel had watched you almost all night, and how could he not when you came to drag him out of the side room. Everyone was gone. You had pushed a couple of tables together, lit some candles, and had a warm meal steaming in the middle of the table. To say that Azriel's heart had nearly burst would have been an understatement. You had refused to tell him where the paint cans were until he had a proper meal because you had a feeling that he hadn't eaten much today.
"Do you paint?", you asked suddenly, finishing the outline of the flower that you had chosen to paint on the wall. "No, Fayre is the painter in the family", but that was only partly true. Feyre was the one who everyone knew for a fact painted in the family. So did Azriel; he just chose to do it in the comfort of his room. And for a while now, all he could draw and sketch was you. Was it in some way creepy? Yes, and that was the reason why no one would ever see it. But a part of Azriel feared that with time the memories of you might fade, so he wanted to capture and keep at least a couple of them.
"I heard that the high lady is a true beauty as well", you said with a dreamy sigh. Not even half as beautiful as you, Azriel wanted to say, yet he didn't. "Is it strange now that the city has been fed with newcomers?", You had dropped the brush back into the can by then, turning to watch Azriel's face. "More work on the safety part, but other than that, I don't care for it much", The hurt that suddenly shimmered in your eyes made Azriel want to add that you and Brian were by no means a part of the trouble. Or that he did care because that wave of refugees had brought you into his life, but those words seemed too big. Too close to the shadow singer's heart, so he choked them out.
"I guess everyone adapts differently", your eyes fell on the big bakery window, and for a moment, the room fell silent. Azriel found himself asking, "What do you mean?", when a stranger sensation started to twist his guts. "Oh, nothing too serious", you waved your head carelessly, "There's just this male. He comes by, stares through the window, and murmurs stuff ". Azriel's eyebrows knitted together in an instant. The worrier inside him woke up immediately. Red flags and warning signals rang in his ears. You must have sensed the tension and the shift in soft energy.
"Brian ushered him away a couple of times", you tried to reassure the spymaster. Brushing your fingers over one of the shadows that had started to swirl around the room. "I'll look into him", Azriel said firmly. "That is unnecessary", you followed suit straight away, but it seemed as if Azriel didn't hear you. "Maybe get one of the males I trust to stay nearby". You pulled at his hand softly. Letting your fingers tangle with him as you squeezed his hand, you said, "That is even more unnecessary".
Azrie wanted to argue, but then you were so close to him. He could feel your heartbeat. He could feel your body's warmth. He could smell you. He could touch you. And he did softly brush a strand of hair away from your face. "I'm sure the man just suffered a serious trauma during the war. We all deserve to have some peace, and if watching through the bakery window gives him that, let it be", you broke the silence once more before leaning in to press a kiss to Azriel's chest.
Just Azriel couldn't let it be. Especially when Rhys and the work on his hands kept him away from the bakery for the next couple of days. He felt restless. Even on the first night after not seeing you, Azriel was ready to just fly to you. Even if it was just so he could listen to your heartbeat for a moment.
And his concerns only grow when he and Cassian eventually made their way to the bakery. Brian was pacing in front of the building, the cane he uses to get around wobbling in his hands. "Sir", Azriel called out carefully, not wanting to startle the old man even more. And the way Brian's face both lit up at the sight of the spymaster and fell at the same time made Azriel think of the worst possible scenarios. "She's gone", Brian reached the bandaged hand towards Azriel, shaking as a leaf in the midnight air. "What do you mean gone?", Azriel tried to stay professional, to not let the words spoken affect him—not yet, not now; he needed a clear mind. "She.. she just", Brian's legs bucked, but Azriel quickly steadied him, throwing a glance at his brother who stood nearby, "Cassian, grab a glass of water".
Walking the male to the nearest chair to sit down, Azriel allowed him a moment to breathe. But he can see the need in Brian's eyes as he spoke up again< "She wasn't like herself. Her eyes… they looked dead". At this point, Azriel felt the fear start to choke him slowly. Let its nails dig into his throat and squeeze as hard as possible.
"Then that man came, and she just walked out with him", Brian gestured to the window, and Azriel instantly knew that he had made the biggest mistake when he agreed to drop this. Everyone deals with their trauma differently. How does this man do, then? By stealing young, innocent females?
"What man?", Cassian asked, and the question was needed. In place. And required when they dealt with trouble in the city. Just Azriel didn't count this as yet another mission in the city. His mind was working so fast that he gently started to feel like he was seeing sounds and hearing colors. "Azriel…", Brian called out for the spymaster, and he instantly drew his eyes back to the man, who had reached out to him once again. "She's been so happy with you the past couple of weeks, and it looked like she had no recollection of that when she left". Azriel didn't let the words set it. Happier. Happier because of you. Happier because she found something in you. Happier for the first time in a long while. Happier, just like you deserved to be, but where are you now? Where was he supposed to find you?
"We're going to the house of wind", Azriel said firmly as he stood up. "Rhys will look into your mind. I need to see the man's face. I need to know what to look for. Need to…", Cassian clasped Azriel's shoulder and said, "Start by taking a breath in", The general of bloodshed could practically feel Azriel's heart trying to beat out of his chest, "We'll find her; we won't stop until she's back home".
They are not wrong when they say that the unknown is what you fear most in life. You can handle things going bad; you can even prepare for and predict some of them, but it's when the situation is laced with uncertainty that it hits you, crippling you to your core. Azriel felt like he had lost a part of himself. As if one of his limbs had been cut off and he just now realized the necessity of it. Walking aimlessly, thinking thoughts that lead nowhere. He had everything. Everything that he didn't even know he had was gone. He hadn't even stopped to acknowledge it. Azriel's shadows had been twirling all over Velaris, but in a couple of hours, they had led him nowhere near you.
That was until such a strong sensation hit him. Like banging from behind closed doors. Something was reaching and clawing to get his attention. Azriel gripped his chest abruptly. The voices in the room died down. Turning into unidentified muffles. Where are you, Azriel ran that question through his mind once more. Where are you, my little light? The pain ripped through him once more, and the spymaster let out a quiet growl.
"I say we move the search out of the city", Rhys said, pointing to the areas he would suggest checking first on the map. "The mountains", Cassian also added. But Azriel shook his head, "No", the two bat boys exchanged glances, "Azriel", "I said no". Cassian wanted to speak, but Rhys shook his head quickly before saying, "We just want to…", "I can fucking feel her. I feel her here. She's here", Azriel roared as he quickly stood up.
Rhys read the situation fast, a knowing gleam flickering in his eyes. He too had been in a situation where the world was working against him and the love of his life, and now, with Azriel standing in front of him panting like a hurt animal, Rhys knew the truth and knew where this was leading, "Say a word, and we will go where you feel that she is kept".
The place was nothing more than a cave, a cave covered and drenched in dark magic enchantments. Tucked away on the north side of Velaris. Easy to miss because nothing hid you away more than the darkness itself. In the darkness, you could easily blend into absolute nothingness. You were there with your dress ripped to bits, twirling like a spring flower; just your face looked dead. No emotions. Eyes unseeing. The male motioned for you to step forward. And you did—no fighting, no pleading. Fully in control. The necklace gleamed in the firelight. The voices inside Azriel's head roared. That must be the main source of this insanity, then.
It took all of Azriel's self-control not to just march in there right then and there. He didn't want to wait for everyone to get into their position. This meant that he had to watch you being toyed with for one more minute, and it was already one minute too long. His hands gripped both of the daggers that he was holding. He thought of all the ways he knew how to end a life. All the ways he could drag out a death. Everyone deals with trauma in their own way. Your voice echoed in Azriel's mind once more. Well, this was how Azriel dealt with his.
When they finally struck, they quickly realized that the place was filled with at least a handful of other girls, all drained to the point of barely standing. Whatever had been happening here had been overseen, and for that, Azriel was ready to take the blame because this should have never been a thing in the first place. It was Azriel who pierced the male straight through the heart, letting Rhys devour the rest with his dark magic, crushing whatever remained of it around the cave. The moment the enchantments vanished, the place was filled with females gasping and crying. Please, confusion. Azriel noticed Cassian softly talking to some of the women. We're here to help, not to harm. Even if it seemed far too late.
Azriel's eyes fell on your shaky frame. The tugging in his chest continued with every step that he took closer to you. Your body flinched right as the spymaster kneeled in front of you, but the moment your eyes met his, you leaped forward, burying yourself in his strong chest. Azriel wrapped his arms around your middle without a second thought.
"I got you; you're safe; you're all okay", he whispered over and over, fingers brushing through your hair gently. "Az", you muttered almost in disbelief still, holding onto the spymaster as if your life depended on it, and in a way it did. "Yeah, my love, it's me", pulling away slightly, Azriel cupped your face, wanting nothing more than to bring back that happy gleam to your eyes once more.
"Az", you murmured once more, now watching him, memorizing him, and remembering him. "No one will ever harm you", Azriel stated firmly. He wouldn't allow it. Never again. You were his to look after now. You shook your head in disbelief, your delicate fingers brushing over the spymaster's sharp jaw. "It's you", your voice was nothing but a whisper, and Azriel couldn't help but smile as he turned his head to the side to kiss your palm, "It's me", he said.
"My…", but your breathing hitched as your head lulled back. Azriel was quick to steady your neck, but it didn't stop the panic from spiraling. You can't die. You couldn't have just died. His eyes darted to Rhys, who slowly approached you two and said, "Let's bring her back home, hun?".
Watching you sleep—at least that's what Madje said—was torture. Azriel was glad that your body was doing everything in its power to wear off the stress as quickly as possible, but he had to hear you tell him that you were okay. That you weren't hurt. That nothing happened there because he would bring back that fucker once again just so he could skin him again.
Your body stirred slightly, and Azriel held his breath. The flicker of the bond between you grew brighter. It fully snapped into place for Azriel when he stepped out of the cave with your unconscious body in his arms. He couldn't help but wonder what the last thing you wanted to say was. My what? Love? Savor? Mate? He would take any of those; he just needed to see your eyes once more.
With a couple of slow blinks, your eyes shot open, your breath picking up as the unfamiliar room filled your senses. He did not bring you back home, he wanted to be with you until you woke up, so his room felt like the most comfortable place at the time. "It's okay; you're in my room; you're safe now", he said softly, reaching out for your hand. Your gaze fell onto him once more, eyes filling up with tears.
"Come here", Azriel muttered. Sitting closer to you, he brought you into his arms, mindful of the weight of his wings pressing against your legs. Your arms sneaked around his neck as you held him close. Azriel sent nothing but love and light through the bond in hopes of soothing you even more, and he was more than surprised when he felt the same love coming back from your side.
The shadow singer pulled away slightly; he hated seeing your tear-stained eyes. "You…", he started, and you nodded your head. Knowing without words what he was about to say. Mates. As odd and unexpected as it was, you two were chosen for each other. A light smile painted your lips as you pressed your forehead against his. Azriel breathed you in. Finally allowing himself to let go of the tension. Finally letting himself believe that you were safe.
"Could I", you started, crimson tinting your still pale cheeks, "Could I kiss you?" The question was nothing but innocent. Yet carried by nothing but a desire to feel whole. To find that extra strength in having someone you could fully lean onto. Azriel brushed some of your hair from your face, his fingers caressing your cheek, "You don't have to ask because I would love nothing more".

HII Im the anon that requested the touya fic you can just call me the 🍊 anon if thats fine with you because ill probably be back a lot more 😭 your fics are SOO good can i request another touya fic, basically the same as last time what it was like being childhood friends with him? Ty!! 😁😁
SECRET SPOT: oneshot request!
parings: Touya Todoroki x reader
wordcount: 1.4K
notes: actually took forever because I forgot what kids do in their free time
warnings: none
summary: you find a cool spot you’d like to show Touya, shenanigans ensue.
You feel your lungs by start to burn as your run as quick as you can towards to best friends house.
You knock almost violently on the door when Rei Todoroki opens it.
“Miss L/N? Is everything okay?” She says with a worried tone.
You nod your head quickly before you say breathlessly, “I-i have something super cool to show Touya!”
Rei chuckles nervously at your excitement, “he’s in his room, I remember correctly.”
You mutter a quick thank you before booking it towards Touya’s room, only to find it empty.
Now you weren’t too concerned by the fact Touya wasn’t in his room like he was supposed to be, if he wasn’t holed up in his room then he’d be holed up at Sekoto peak over using his quirk in the name of ‘training’.
You shrug before making your way back to the front door, you weren’t planning on telling Rei that her son was up at the peak, he made you promise not to anyway.
Sekoto peak wasn’t the farthest away from the Todoroki household but by the time you got there at the summit you could feel your legs aching.
Now all that was left was to walk up it…
You could make out flashes of red as you hiked up the trail, few sparks of blue which was curious since Touya’s was red?
No point on dwelling on it.
You yell out his name, scaring him before running up to him excitedly.
“Y/N- you scared the hell out of me-“ he blabbers out.
You try to make your voice serious as you speak, “Touya- you absolutely need to follow me now, we’re going on adventure.”
Touya scoffs softly, “adventure? What are you- twelve?”
You stare at Touya after he choices his words, quietly as the seconds tick by.
He clears his throat, “ahem- sorry uhm, where are you trying to take me?” His voice is steady unlike yours, “can’t tell, it’s a surprise.”
“Then scram, I’m training right now Y/N.” He starts to walk off over to his little training corner with the log before you grab his wrist.
“Please Touya?” You beg with a pout on your face.
Touya try’s to tug his wrist away, “Nope, I don’t know what I’m getting myself into.” You groan before pulling him back, “Touya- don’t be a brat I’m trying to show you something cool!” You continue to plead.
“You trying to fight me now? I’ll win.” He says almost threateningly.
you tug again, “you built like a prepubescent chicken- look Touya please just do this for me?”
You and Touya enter an unspoken eye staring contest, Touya loses by looking away nervously and you could almost feel his skin heating up.
“Fine, take me to your stupid spot.” He says lowly, but it doesn’t have any venom behind it.
You celebrate silently in your head before dragging him down the mountain, then towards the woods near your own home.
Touya’s brows furrow, “are you planning on murdering me or something?” his voice could be described as a fake out between ‘I’m so scared!’ And pure sarcasm.
You shrug, “keep up the attitude and I just might.”
He laughs at that one.
You climb over smaller bushes and duck under branches before entering a thicker part of the woods, you got lost in it one time and your parents had called every emergency number they knew.
Touya still dogs on you for it til this day.
Whilst trekking throughout the woods your legs decided to make home with a near by rose bush that hooked into your skin painfully.
You yelp before trying to ease the small thorns out of your poor calf but Touya decides to help out for once.
“Don’t move.” His voice was stern when he said it but his face was filled with worry practically.
He grabs you calf then the vine and pulls the two apart gently, only to leave a small stinging sensation in the wounded area.
“Be glad it’s not bleeding.” He hops over the vines to join you, you kinda hopped his leg would get stuck too for karma but you’ll get revenge soon.
Revenge for everything you’ve done to get him to this cool spot, made your legs sore, made them injured- what’s next? A broken arm?!
You continue to walk throughout the forest, the ground below you getting wetter with each step. Then you could finally hear the faint noise of water rushing.
You walked out nearer towards it before hitting a drop off but luckily you had already scooped out the terrain. There was and edge that you could scoot by on if you held on good and if you fell you- probably- wouldn’t die!
Before you could get to it Touya grabs your hand, “that isn’t safe, find another way.” his brows furrow.
“This is the only way that I know, hold on and you’ll be fine-“ “Y/N I don’t want you getting hurt.” He cuts you off before you can rationalize with him.
“Touya I’ve done this before, I’m not gonna fall.” You smile while you say this but then Touya made it fade quickly with his next words.
“I’ve seen Bridge to Terabithia, don’t play with me Y/N.” His tone is serious but it almost sounds like he’s messing with you.
You mumble out a small fine then Touya smiles like he won, you don’t like that cockiness.
So you quickly run back and scoot the wall almost expertly, pieces of rock falling down below as you move.
Touya calls for your name but by the time you respond d your already on the other side, “see- I told you I’d be fine!” You smile cheekily.
Touya visibly relaxs before his face goes mean again, “you could’ve fallen.”
“Yet I didn’t?”
“I’ll push you down myself.”
You scoff, “thought you didn’t want me getting hurt?”
Touya groans as you start to skip off towards the rushing water, it’s a nice little spot but it has logs all around it like some parkour obby.
Touya watches as you walk over towards one, it’s over a larger area of water- hell it evens look deep.
“Touya, be careful here since it’s slippery.” you sound sweeter than usual, Touya notes.
Touya cautious steps onto the log with the water calmly drifting beneath him, truly it wasn’t hard to balance on it.
You step behind him following close, then you wind your arms back and push him into the water with all your strength. He hits the water with a loud splash, it only takes him a few seconds to resurface.
“Y/N- are you fucking crazy!?” He yells out, you could barely hear him from your own cackling.
You don’t even notice when he grabs your own ankle to drag you down with him.
You yelp before hitting the water, whilst falling you accidentally hit your back against the log.
When you plop back up from the water, coughing violently. You can hear Touya laughing at you, you splash water at him before he could continue.
“Psh- don’t be angry that I got you back!” He yells, his voice sounds light.
Like he’s having fun.
You and Touya continue to have a splashing fight before you raise your hands up, “okay- we’re still not there yet-“ he splashes you again.
“Touya!” He stops for a moment, listening to you.
“It’s a little up ahead, follow me.” You trek through the water, making your way past floating branches or jagged rocks.
Touya could faintly hear water falling, then he felt the water become much more shallow.
The two of you continued to walk throughout the shallow water before it starts to rush before your feet, once Touya look up the first thing he sees is a miniature waterfall.
You turn back to look at him, “isn’t it amazing Touya?” Your smile is bright.
He can’t help it when his faces starts to match yours, you just have that affect on him.
He watches you run up to the falls, collecting rocks or whatever you do.
He can’t help but think how glad he was that he stopped training, even for a moment.
He felt good, his heart felt warm.
you just have that affect on him.
EXTRA:
“Touya- why in the world are you soaking wet?!” Rei practically screams.
Touya stumbles over his words for a moment before speaking, “uhm- next question?”
“Were you out training again?!” Rei says her voice going softer.
“Uhm….next question?” Touya says whilst looking down.
He’s never going on adventure with you again.

Goodnight, Father
"Jaune, are you in here?"
"Over here, Weiss!" Jaune waved next to his team. Some would say he was taking advantage of his girlfriend's hospitality in using her family's ballroom for dance practice. However, those close to the couple would know better and that the room had been unused since it's reconstruction, save for the occasional charity dinners that were held once in a complete moon. "Take five, guys."
Oscar and Nora collapsed to the floor, both panting and groaning from their stretched limbs and aching lungs. Nora wasn't used to the former while Oscar was unaccustomed to the latter. Ren rolled his eyes with a chuckle.
"What's up?" Jaune asked, wide toothy shark grin on his face.
"It's a letter from your mother."
"Mom?" Jaune took the letter. Sure enough, his mother's name and address were written hastily on the outside of the letter. Slipping his finger under the sealed flap, he made a tear in the paper. Digging in, he hooked and tore more and more of the envelope until it was open.
"You do know we have a letter opener, right?" Weiss said with a hand on her hip. The smile that accompanied it fell as she noticed Jaune didn't have a response. He pulled the contents free and opened the folded message. Then Jaune made for the door. "Jaune?!"
She picked up the letter unceremoniously dropped to the floor and read the words meant for Jaune. She gave a small gasp, matching the small message delivered to Jaune.
'COME HOME'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jaune didn't buy a boat ticket. Heck, he didn't even pay for a cab! The clothes he wore to arrive at his home in Ansel were the same as when he left New Atlas three days ago. He ran across three continents and swam through both the icy and temperate seas that surrounded them just to reach home. How he wasn't dead could be attributed to his aura, but no one could really explain.
The only surprising thing that happened was when he found his team, and his girlfriend, waiting inside his home. In his panic, he forgot that air travel, as much as he hated it, was the fastest and safest way to get from point A to point B. Still, he arrived, soaking wet from sweat, rain, and sea, right into his mother's arms.
"And you haven't seen him since?"
"No." His mother poured another cup of coffee for him. He hated the stuff growing up, but he's since relied on it after his departure for Beacon. "No message. No mention. Nothin'. It's not like your father to just leave like this."
Jaune furrowed his brow. It's true that his dad wasn't the kind of guy to keep secrets. If he didn't like you, he told you to your face. In fact, he told Jaune it was a stupid idea to leave for Beacon on a whim. Still, his father loved him and supported his choice. He even said he hoped Jaune did it sooner, at least so he could get some training in.
'Ancestors'd be proud either way.' His father shrugged.
Jaune sipped his coffee. "Hey, Mom?"
"Yes, Jaune?"
"Was Dad... dying?"
The room got really quiet. Nora and Weiss, who were playing with Adrian, stared at him. Ren looked around and noticed the rest of the family wasn't looking in Jaune's direction. Oscar excused himself and stepped outside.
"He was, wasn't he?"
His mother nodded. "Said it was something in his blood. He said it got harder for him to sleep."
"And... he didn't tell me?"
She shook her head. "You deserved to know. I've been wanting to tell you for a while, but he said it wasn't something for you to worry about."
Jaune gripped his mug a little tighter. "Somebody should've told me."
"You're right." Saphron said, putting a hand on his shoulder. "The CCT network is still being worked on, but letters can obviously still be sent. Seven sisters and nobody could tell you."
"Why?" Jaune stood up suddenly, surprising his sister. "Because it's okay for everyone else but Jaune the crybaby to know? Because he'd just cry his little eyes out over every little thing?!"
"Hey, I wanted to tell you-!"
"Enough, both of you!" Their mother yelled. She sighed and pressed a hand to her face. "Twenty years and I'm still breaking up fights." She sniffled. "Oh, ancestors, don't make me do this alone..."
Suddenly, Jaune felt like punching himself. Since he came back home- heck, even before that -he was thinking only about himself. He gritted his sharp teeth, flaring his nostrils as he looked away. Years later and Jaune was still a spoiled brat, on the verge of tears because he wasn't getting what he wanted. His mind began to fill with memories of his lifetime in the Ever After, far away from home, like he'd always-
A hand touched his. It was a delicate and soft hand, one with slender fingers that were guided by a tender heart. He looked up and saw the worried look of his love, Weiss. His self-loathing began to fade as he looked into her eyes, entranced by the icy blue that belied a warm and caring soul.
Another hand rested on his shoulder, belonging to his brother, Ren. Attached to him and looking with a smile, trying to cheer him up, was his sister-in-arms, Nora. Entering the room, offering a weaker smile was his friend, Oscar. In his gloved hand, he held a small bit of foliage.
"I... think I found something." He offered.
"Alright," Jaune gave a smile and nodded, "we've got a mission, guys. I know it's late and you all want to go to bed, but I'm not going to let this one get away. We're not getting paid more than room and board, but if you'll help me, I'd really appreciate it. Are you with me?"
"You got it~!" Nora cheered.
"To the end and back." Ren nodded.
"Wherever, whenever!" Oscar agreed.
"I'm not exactly part of this team," Weiss patted Jaune's arm, "but you still helped mine all the same. I'm with you for as long as you'll have me."
Jaune smiled at his team. Looking to Oscar, he nodded. "Where'd you find that grass, Oscar?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a long walk through the rain for Jaune and his team. The winds blew in their face, pelting rain hard enough to soak through their ponchos. Following the clues left behind, they picked up on a trail leading through the nearby woods, over a stream shifting to become a river, before finally reaching an enclosure, and beheld the beautiful sight before them.
As if untouched by the storm, a blue lake rested undisturbed in the midst of the raging storm outside of the treeline. There was enough light for them to see, despite being so close to midnight in the midst of a huge thunderstorm. Jaune crept low and touched the water with his finger, bringing it to his lips.
"Salt."
"What?" Nora asked. "Are you that hungry?"
"No, it's saltwater." Jaune said, taking his poncho off.
Taking a deep breath, he plunged his head beneath the surface. His eyes adjusted to the change in light and nearly bulged at what he saw. The lake, despite its size, was much deeper than he'd ever expected. He couldn't even see the bottom. More surprising to him, though, was what lined the walls of the lakebed.
Swords. Shields. Axes. Crossbows. All white with gilded trim, each embedded into the muddy walls of the undersea cliffs. Pulling his head up, he shook his head. He couldn't believe his eyes.
"It's..."
"A graveyard." Jaune whirled to see a man, well-aged beyond his years (even by Ever After standards), with a thick, white beard and eyes as blue as the ocean itself. He held himself upright with an alabaster cane with gilded trim, much like Crocea Mors and the weapons located underwater. "It's the Arc Graveyard, Jaune."
"Dad..." Jaune stood to his feet. Meeting his father for the first time in what could have been years, he saw how tall the man really stood compared to his progeny. At his full height, he was six foot even. Now, hunched over, he was just a few inches shorter than that, and even shorter than Jaune. Still, the gaze he held was something Jaune was all too familiar with.
Oh, sure, there was love in his father's eyes, for despite their tiffs now and again, Jaune was raised and taught by a man who did his best to teach him everything he could. Did he succeed? Jaune felt like he did, since he was still alive, and happy, and had found love with a beautiful and wonderful woman in Weiss. None of this would have happened if not for the man in front of him.
"You've come a long way, Jaune." The old man smirked. "And you reek, too. Did you bathe before coming here?"
"Technically." Jaune chuckled. "To be honest, the last time I had a bath, or even slept, was about three days ago."
"Stinky." Jaune's father chuckled. He then coughed, making Jaune drop his smile. "Your nephew loves that word. Giggles every time he hears it."
"Dad..."
"Jaune, you are my one and only son, so I know you feel like you have this idea of what you're supposed to be. Like you're supposed to be some kind of big, damn hero with forty wives and a hundred kids. And as cliche as it may sound, I never wanted you to have such an extravagant lifestyle. Or, at least, I didn't want you to feel like you had to. All I ever wanted was for you to be happy, and ready to be the man you had to be when someone tried to take away your happiness. And my son," a wide, toothy shark grin spread across the man's wrinkled face, "you are that happy man."
Jaune swept the man into a hug, tears pouring from his eyes as he heaved sobs into the man's shoulder. The man chuckled and wept a few tears of his own. Off to the side, watching the spectacle, the rest of group were each weeping along with the men. Finally, however, the time came for Jaune and his father to part.
"It's time, Jaune." Slipping into the water, the eldest Arc swam a few feet to the center. From there, he dove beneath the surface. Bubbles came up as he dove deeper. His shadow disappeared a few yards down. Jaune stood on the shoreline, watching, waiting, hoping that this was some elaborate hoax, as if to play a cruel trick on him. But nothing came up.
"Goodbye, Dad."
---------------------------------------------------
Fun Fact! In 2022, scientists discovered a "shark graveyard". At first, as they dragged nets across the ocean floor, they thought what they pulled up were just rocks when, actually, what they were pulling up were shark teeth. HUNDREDS of shark teeth, including recent sharks like Great Whites and more ancient sharks like, yup, MEGALODON! Since sharks are cartilaginous, only their teeth are tough enough to make it through decomposition, while the rest is consumed by scavenging wildlife.

korra x air bender!reader pleasee, maybe as tenzin’s eldest daughter??
this one was definitely a challenge, but i got it figured. i got SO immersed in this story that i think it's best to do two parts to cover everything. let's go part one!!!
،، 𝓣o be loved and to be in love ; Korra (p. 1)
request guide | masterlist
to part 2 >
resume: where a love story goes all the way back to the playground.
content warning: fluff ; angst ; mentions of Mako and Korra's relationship ; airbender and fem!reader being Tenzin's older daughter ; Korra and reader being the most oblivious people ; childhood friends to lovers ; no use of y/n ;
wc: 2.7k
a/n: I know it's not specified how long Lin and Tenzin took to break up but since I made the reader a year younger than Korra let's say it was reaaaally long before she was born, yeah?
“ To be just friends, you're too beautiful. To just stay as friends, I know I'll regret this.
A breathe in to feel how the light fill your body entirely from your crown chakra to your earth one and a breathe out to let all the bad energies out of your body, feeling how the relaxation started to reign on every inch of your being, how you started to drif—
“MEELO, STOP! MOOOOM!” ah, yes, of course, you forgot about that.
You sighed exhausted, in front of you, Korra laughed a little bit opening one eye to see you. “Very relaxing, huh?”
“Tell me about it.” instead of trying again to meditate, you stretched your arms upwards. “Any luck this time?”
Korra shook her head, disappointed. “I lost the connection forever.” you grimaced a bit before taking her hand and leave caresses.
“You'll be okay, you still have your friends to guide you. You have me.” a peaceful smile painted your face, she blushed a little bit while reciprocating the gesture.
“And I have two airbending masters.” she poked your side making you laugh a little bit.
“One, I don’t have my tattoos yet.” you said, standing up from the floor. “Let's go, I think they're waiting for you.”
You helped the southerner to stand up, the hand she took felt warm making your heart skipped a beat.
Korra and you knew each other since almost diapers; one year after her, you were born. Tenzin couldn’t be more happy when he found out how close on age you two were, he made his mission for you two to be close almost as family, the airbender trusted you would help Korra with the air part of her training. He would take you with him to the Southern Water Tribe to visit her, there were weekends were he would let you stay with your grandmother to have more play time with Korra. And it worked, Korra was your first friend and you were hers, she would tell you everything just as you to her. You got a secret handshake, a secret place to hide when you two wanted to be alone, always being one beside the other in everything you could, you showed Korra some tricks with air as she did with water, earth and fire.
But just as families drift apart, once you got older and learned about more deep and complicated feelings, you realize how you saw Korra as something more than a friend. You found yourself wondering how would it feel to walk with her by the hand like the couples you've seen in the city, what would it be like to introduce her as your girlfriend, how her lips would taste like... And so you decided to step away from her a little bit. You only went to the south with your father or at important occasions or send her a couple of letter every other week. It wasn't that you didn't want to be with her anymore, it was just that she felt unreachable to you and you were so sure if at some point you said how you felt to her she would turn you down by saying how she sees you as a younger sister, because that was how she referred to you all those years. Her younger sister.
“How come Jinora can go with you but we don't!?” you heard Ikki claim to her dad and a big smile showed on your face.
Your eyes wandered to your friend, feeling a punch in your gut when you saw her with Mako.
You knew something was going on between them after she arrived to the air temple island and escaped to see probending. She would come to your room to talk about a gorgeous boy who was in a probending group as the firebender, three nights after she would talk to you about how he was in a relationship with another girl who she didn't liked and the day after how Pema gave her the idea to confess. That was pretty much enough for you to start your journey to another temples, you brought up the idea to Tenzin masking it up as your opportunity to visit those places by yourself as part of your spiritual journey and even though at first try he stood by his negative answer, when he saw how desperate you were to get out of the island he let you go. It was safe to say you didn't know if Mako and her were still together or not since when you came back she never mentioned a thing, everyone was so busy about the new emergence of airbenders and you were trying to help Korra see if she could reconnect with her past lives, clearly without any success.
“You coming?” Korra asked your way, making you change your face to a more neutral expression.
“I'm not, sorry.” you answered, hugging yourself. “I'll be at the northern temple waiting for you, there are thing to take care of there before the other benders arrived. Jinora will go, though, so you have two airbender masters in the ship.”
Your sister smiled big at her recognition. Korra, on the other hand, had a indescribable grimace. She wanted you around, she already was away from you for months and now that you came back to her, she didn't want to lose you from her sight again.
“Are... you sure? We could go met Ba Sing Se, remember how we said we should go together?” she stepped closer, you were so close to give up and go, but the sight of Mako stepping in the ship made your heart drop, you smiled through the discomfort, you didn't want to see them go all lovey-dovey in your face.
“I'm sure, we'll explore Ba Sing Se together when all this is over.” you assured stepping to give her a hug. “Take care, I'll see you in some days.”
After they left you stood one more moment in your place, Ikki walked to you and stood by your side. “You should've kiss her for good luck.”
“Okay, that's all.” you said while turning around over your heels to walk back inside.
A couple hours after they left, you took your own journey to the north. A goodbye was said to your mother, siblings and aunt while loading some food to your flying bison and your thoughts were your only companion all that time.
At the beginning it was all good, thinking the activities you needed to do, hoping on all sacred there were enough acolytes to help you and time spare, but once the sun started to set you found yourself thinking about Korra. About those times were you two stopped playing to see the sunset on the water tribe, talking about what you two would do once she was able to live the compound to the city. You would tell her about festivals with so many games and lights that you loved and you were sure she would love too or maybe about how the city lights look so beautiful at night, specially the bridge, how it looked warmer than the water tribe's lights.
How stupid, you thought, you needed to start to move on from her, there was no use in staying stuck in that infatuation if it wasn’t reciprocated.
Once you landed at the temple, it was time for you to get your head in the plans for the newcomers.
The next days felt as if you were in autopilot, helping your dad at everything you could, training the new benders by groups and seeing some other things for the future. The day that Zaheer went to the temple, Meelo and you were instructed to stay by the radio for news as Tenzin was told there could be a new airbender coming and he wanted to be informed once they were near.
“Did you know we found a whole herd full of baby bison?” you heard your brother said, at the distance while you were walking slowly to the radio room with a big bowl of fruit for the two of you, but obviously you were taking pieces of fruit for yourself.
“No, a whole herd!? really– agh!” you laugh listening how they took Bolin out of the radio. “Meelo, this is your commander officer, go get your dad now!” the avatar's tone made you shiver a bit and stopping on your steps.
“Yes, sir!” his feet sounded on the ground, you tried to stopped him to ask, but he was fast to continue. “Not now, woman! I am a man on a mission!”
A frown settled into your face, you were quick to run to the radio leaving the bowl down. “Korra, what's going on!?”
She said your name with such a relief, like she waited for decades to hear you voice. “Listen to me! Zaheer is on his way to the temple, he's going for all the airbenders, you have to get everyone out of there immediately! Drop everything and leave!”
The sound of an airship made you turn around, Tenzin just got by your side, your face fell when you saw the green ship. Korra demanded to hear what was happening when the airbender complained. “It's too late, Korra... He's here.” your voice said trembling.
The avatar couldn't admit it in a loud voice, but at the vague thought of losing you over the Red Lotus would definitely be her last straw. Even though you didn't thought she would, Korra noticed how you where slipping away from her and she grieved that deeply. She was so convinced you were going to be in her life all the time, she had pictured you two growing old in the city or in the air temple island, there was no way she could live without you.
It was at some point when she arrived from the south and was almost every hour of the day by your side that she stopped to think about the way she felt about you, it was... It definitely couldn't be friendship if she felt for you the same way she did with Mako, right? But even before she could figure out and tell you about it you were gone to the temples leaving her confuse and convincing herself that maybe it was a sign to try things with the firebender.
The fights for freedom on the temple pass for you as if it was on fast foward, you tried to help as much as you could, but mainly you tried to keep Rohan and your mother safe as she carried the younger of all. And to everyone's bad luck, the Lotus got every airbender and the last avatar's children.
Sitting beside you there was your sister spiritually projecting to look for a way out, at her words she saw how it was up to everyone there to leave when Ikki mentioned Korra.
“What did you really saw?” you whispered to her, she turned to look at you with worry shining in her eyes.
“Korra, they're trying to end the avatar cycle.” she answered after some silence, you felt her hands look for yours when your gaze looked away.
When the youngers came with a plan to escape and executed it, the rest of Korra's team, her dad and the Beifongs appeared through, literally, a wall. You were so relieved to see them, once they got you untied you went to Tonraq. He calmed a little bit to see you well, the chief knew how important you were for his daughter, and he had come to appreciate you like part of his family too.
“Let me help you get Korra out of there.” you asked him, the man shook his head without any doubt.
“We got this, you should go help your dad, we'll get Korra out of here.” he assured, patting you on your shoulder before leaving with the brothers.
You helped your aunt to walk out of the prision they set the nomads, minutes after the waterbender ran outside saying how his daughter needed help.
Looking up you catch Korra impulsing herself with fire, attacking however she could and you felt your heart in your throat. Jinora had come with a plan to help her and you could just only wish it worked; seeing her fall without any support made you jump a little bit, not worrying about how Zaheer hit the floor in his stomach.
Your feet ran to her after Tonraq arrived and kneeled not so far to see her. Breaking in cold sweat, she was fighting for her life and the avatar cycle, you teary-eyed to the point you could only deference the girl by her silhouette and when she closed her eyes you couldn’t hold back the tears anymore.
“You can help her,” you heard Jinora at your back. “The venom is metallic.” your head turned to look to your sister and then Su who rushed to the southerner.
You stood up to leave the metalbender work, walking to Jinora. She hugged you by the waist and you could only rest an arm in her shoulders while watching how it went down.
The sound of Korra taking a deep breath in and seeing the grey liquid come out of her mouth made you let go the breathe you didn’t know you were holding, Jinora's arms tighten in her hug so you hugged her back the same way, now letting happy tears go.
The next days, you promised to stay at the air temple island. After almost losing Korra forever, you attached to her however you could. She was grateful for that, she felt as if she could breath again with you by her side, but she was so tired and weak that couldn’t say it to you.
With help, a second bed was moved to the room the avatar was staying at. You could help her eat by bringing each meal to her, brushed her hair every night, tried to lift her up by reminding the shared memories back when she was still at the south. She didn't sleep much and you stayed awake by her side the times needed, when she wanted to have someone by her side but wouldn't say it to you out loud, you knew her enough to understand what she needed most of the times and the hours she could catch of sleep weren't much as she woke up after screaming as a nightmare took her peace time.
“It's okay, you're safe, you're okay.” you usually said waking up with her, quickly going to her side and hugging her. She snuggled to you, looking for shelter. “I'm here, you're okay.”
After two weeks from the events, Jinora had her ceremony naming her airbender master finally and you couldn't be more proud of your little sister, she deserved it.
You helped Korra get ready for the ceremony while humming a melody in low voice.
“A look an avatar deserve, you look gorgeous as always.” you said showing her reflection, Korra smiled however she could. You kneeled to her side, making her follow you with her eyes. “No one expects you to be recovered right now, it's more than fine to take your time healing.”
The blue orbs were teary-eyed at your words, her hand looked for yours.
“You can count that I'll be here by your side to celebrate when you're back on your feet to kick asses like before.” your hand gave hers a light squeeze before leaving a short kiss in her knuckles.
“I appreciate you.” she said hoarsely out of nowhere, you gave her a fondly smile. “So much, I don't know what I would do without you.”
“I appreciate you too, Korra.” your hand left hers to cup a side of her face. “You'll always have me, you can't free yourself so easily.” your smile just got bigger. “We'll talk more later, let's go, they're waiting for us.”
Later, Korra thought, she knew that later her family and her would be on a boat to the Southern Water Tribe and you'll have to stay there with your family since you had a duty to fulfill, you weren't going to see her as much as you did so far. And with what the future hold for you both was just prove how strong your love could go.

- you and your mom? Best friends
- danny and your mom? Not so much
- being the daughter of Black Widow herself came with a lot of trust, and many secrets so you never intended on dating because of it
- but then this handsome motherfucker gentleman comes along and you're on cloud nine
- you told him you have a complicated past and he respected that, waiting until you were ready
- but he's Iron Fist, King of K'un L'un and an Agent of SHIELD so he took notice when you'd disappear from team sessions
- he admits he got curious and followed one day, and there you were: training with Black Widow herself, and doing it flawlessly
- and at the end of it, his suspicions were confirmed once you hugged and said, "thanks, mom"
- "So are you gonna introduce us or does he always do that?" She made DIRECT eye contact with him and it honestly sent a shiver down his spine
- he introduced himself, remaining calm and collected, which impressed her but she also knows that people can hide how they rlly feel
- she GRILLED HIM
- "where'd you grow up?" "K'un L'un" "who are your parents?" "Heather and Wendell Rand" "if you're a billionaire, why do you wear five dollar flip flops?"
- you knew she approved of him, but she liked to keep him on his toes
- "beloved, I love you, but your mother scares me"
- oh how does one BEGIN to explain to their bullet proof boyfriend that their dad is Thor?
- he knew you had to be other worldly, and not just because he thinks you're a Goddess you accidentally struck him with lightning one time
- you wanted to keep it a secret for a bit before the Almighty Thor comes in and demands to know Luke's intentions
- "babe, why is Thor asking me when I'm proposing?"
- being a God came with perks, so Thor knew not long after you guys started dating that something was amiss with his daughter
- (you stopped remembering to being him poptarts and he got upset)
- "how do I know if he is worthy of your hand?"
- "He makes me laugh :) and he's bulletproof so. . ."
- they get along great
- his first trip to Asgard was a bit intimidating but seeing as you're half human, your mom reminded him that love between you guys was possible
- "I recommend a traditional Asgardian ceremony-"
- "dad we're sixteen"
- o h b o i
- talk about overprotective father
- you're a minute late, who were you with? What were you doing? I want their names, addresses, social security-
- if you guessed Winter Soldier a.k.a Bucky then you guessed right
- he knew something was up the moment you two lingered for a bit after training, and watching from the top deck this man SPOTTED your hands brush and asked Fury for Novas' personal file
- but knowing your dad, you were actually able to keep your relationship a secret for two months before he put the pieces together himself
- you both were out on a picnic date, Sam having made a cute cake, and a very threatening man with a metal arm came up sat down, smiled at him, held his hand out and said, "Samuel Alexander, sixteen, last Nova, grew up in Carefree, and 5'8, correct?"
- you were LIVID
- meanwhile Sam was like "omg he knows my name :0!!"
- you had told Sam long before dating that your dad was extremely overprotective, but Sam being Sam was just excited that his badass girlfriend has a badass dad!!
- and Buckys like "wtf this kid isn't even remotely terrified"
- Sam asks question after question, and it even turns into a third wheel - as in they're bonding and you're just there
- Bucky likes him but still tries to be somewhat intimidating, being the infamous Winter Soldier and all
- "Babe. . .baabe. . .when's your dad gonna be back? I wanna ask him if he likes my new helmet look"
- so like where do I even start
- you and Ava had been dating for a couple of months before she started to realize that she hadn't met your family
- you told her that they were just really intense and you didn't wanna scare her
- but who could scare White Tiger? So she insisted and you said "your funeral"
- also how does one explain to their partner that they technically shouldn't exist because your dad is a robot and your mom is a witch?
- your brothers LOVE her
- Billy and Tommy immediately recognized Ava, seeing as they'd work with the team from time to time and said "ooh our sisters dating the smart one"
- and Ava like, "babe I think I kicked one of their asses in training"
- Wanda adores Ava, she thinks she's good for you and might as well have someone mentally stable in your life
- Meanwhile in Avas' mind, "omg omg her mom is Scarlet Witch, her dad is Vision - wait is that why she's so smart? Is my girlfriend a robot?"
- no you're not a robot
- Vision likes her, and he knew about you two before you two even started dating. Why? You rambled about White Tiger during dinner once and Vision CLOCKED that look in your eyes
- needless to say, Sunday dinners with your family are now mandatory with Ava

What a Mess

“Whoever said you can't buy Happiness forgot little puppies.” - Gene Hill
Happy wouldn't tell you where the puppy came from, he just came home one day covered in human blood and handed you a scruffy crying puppy with a grunt. After you had washed the puppy and given it some boiled chicken, he gave you a Happy style explanation about how he "found" the dog when the SONs went to visit a drug dealer.
Two days later, Juice would tell you the truth. The drug dealer had bought the puppy early that day and just gave it to Happy when he decided it was too much work. The blood came later when Happy decided that giving a dog to strangers with guns was unforgivable.
She got her name the first night when she made her way between you and Happy as you settled into bed and flopped into your pillow. Happy turned into a total dog dad, carrying her everywhere because she hadn't got her shots yet and he didn't want her to get sick.
It soon became clear that Mellow was some kind of horse because she was putting on a pound a week and the more she ate, the more she wanted. Which led you to where you were now, looking out at a kitchen covered in roast beef scraps while she wagged her tail at you, "Did your daddy put the roast too close to the edge of the bench?"
Her tail wagged and she let out a yip as she wagged her way over to you, "I hope you like that because that piece of meat was very pricy." All Mellow did in response was lick your hand, "I'm not mad at you, you're just being a dog, but your daddy's in the poo."
"Why am I in the poo?" You turned around as Mellowed rushed to greet Happy.
"Because I asked you to put the roast in the middle of the counter when you took it out and you didn't so someone ate half of it." She let out another yip, and Happy bent down to scratch her ear while her tongue lolled from her mouth, "Hap, we pay really good money for her to have good nutrition. She can't be eating stuff off our table unless we let her."
He sighed, "I know. I meant to push it further, but she took her ball to the door and I wanted to play outside with her. I forgot where I left it."
You nodded, "That's alright, there was nothing in it that could have hurt her so no harm done. How about you clean up here while I give her a bath and then you can go and get us some takeout?"
Happy nodded, "That's fair."
You bent down and tapped your legs and Mellow came bounding over to you, "You wanna have a bath, you smelly girl?" Her tail waged and she placed your growing paws on your legs as her whole body wagged with her tail, "I'll take that as a yes."
She jumped off you and raced towards the tub and you sighed as Happy followed you, "Yes you can help but after that I want to kitchen spotless."
Happy smiled, "Hell yeah."
Mellow looked from you to Happy and with a wave of your hand, she was leaping into the tub joyfully. Happy raced over to the cupboard and returned with her brush, the nail trimmers and a bag, "What's that Hap?"
"I got her some soap." He opened the back and pulled out two large bottles with paw prints on them.
Your eyes grew wide when you realised what he had done, "Hap, that stuff is for show dogs, it's thirty dollars a bottle."
He shrugged, "She should only have the best."
You shook your head, "She already gets the best Happy, I get her shampoo and conditioner at the vet."
"Well this isn't shampoo and conditioner, it's prewash and after bath fur oil." He held up a finger and reached into the bag again, "I also go her paw balm."
You sighed, "Alright, just tell me how to use it once I've brushed her and done her claws."
Happy smiled, "It's easy, the lady at the store said it would make her coat nice."
You nodded, "I know Hap." Mellow could barely contain her joy as you brushed her fur and she slammed her growing feet into your palm when it was time to trim her nails.
"She's so well trained." Happy sounded so proud.
You shook your head, "Wait until the water turns on, she's just going to want to play." Sure enough, she was sliding around the bath with suds flying everywhere when it was time to wash her, Happy laughing as her floppy jowls went in every direction.
She yipped happily and hopped out of the bath when the hair drier came out and her tail flicked water everywhere when the warm air hit her skin, "She is the weirdest dog on earth, I've never met a dog that likes all parts of getting a bath."
Mellow stayed with you while you cleaned the bathroom and Happy headed to clean the kitchen, and she watched him on the couch as he mopped up all the mess, "She had fun here."
You nodded, "Yes she did."
Once everything was cleaned up, Happy walked over to you and kissed your temple, the Mellow's forehead, before heading out to get dinner, "You want anything special?"
You shrugged, "You know what I like."
"Yeah, I do."
****
Happy served you dinner, making sure that Mellow was occupied with a toy so you could eat without her feeling left out, even though you both knew she wouldn't beg for anything.
"I'm sorry about the roast. I know how hard you worked on it." He sounded sorry too.
You smiled softly, "I know, she's a puppy, there's no harm done." You pointed to the fridge, "Plus, you brought me cake, all is forgiven."
Happy looked at Mellow and smiled, "Do you think she knows how much we love her?"
You nodded, "I do. I mean, I don't love her as much when she pushes me off the bed but I love her with all my heart the rest of the time."
The side of Happy's lips ticked up in a smirk, "That reminds me, we're going mattress shopping on the weekend. I know a guy who can get us one of those huge orgy beds."
Your eyebrows wrinkled, "Those are big enough for more than two people and a great dane, what are you thinking Hap?"
"Well, you know how much Mel likes cats right?" You nodded, she had to say hello to every cat she saw, "I thought we could get a kitten, and then I read that two was better than one. I figure if we have a bed big enough, you won't say no."
You sighed, "I'm not going to say no anyway, you know how much I love cats."
Happy smiled, "I knew you'd say yes."
You shook your head, "You're lucky I love you."
He reached across the table and took your hand, "I love you too y/n."

Class 1-A x flirty reader
18 plus blogs DNI
He hated you at first, you wet just some extra trying to be a hero. But when you openly flirted him…you were teasing him weren’t you.
He would always try to get you to lose or beat you up.
It went like that for the first half of the semester. It didn’t change until you beat you him, or well tied with him.
Bakugou was flying after you, the rest of these extras weren’t worth his time. He just needed to beat you then he’ll care about the rest. Oh what he would to see you in last place.
“Geez Kats, I knew I made you feel something but running after me? That’s something I wouldn’t think you would do.”
“ SHUT UP AND DIE!”
With a smirk in you face you jumped up and tackled him to the floor.
He never forgot the fight but he actually started treating you like a human being.
He would tell you to stop flirting with, him but he loves it.
If he sees you flirt with someone else he’s killing then. Simple as that.
But that also made him realize that he likes you. And he’ll confess but will also get teased by everyone else in the class.
When you win a fight he just smirks and shows off to everyone.
“Bakugou clam down we know you got them!”
“Shut up weird hair! You’re just jealous.”
He was taken aback when you flirted with him on the first day. He was just trying to tell you to sit properly when you made an…inappropriate comment. It took him a few minutes before he told you to not flirt at school and pay attention to your study’s.
He’ll always tell you to pay attention and you always flirt back.
Can’t help but to feel bad when you flirt with someone else.
He finally confessed when you were both at the dorms.
You opened your dorm room to see Iida standing there. You smirked and leaned against the door frame, watching him get flustered.
“[Name], I ask you to go out with me in a romantic way and that I’ll treat you right. With your parents permission of course.
Still lectures you on flirting in class.
He secretly enjoys it so you two can study together.
If you fall behind in class he’ll help you!
He has no doubt that you would lose a fight, he knows you! Even if you lose you two can go on a training date.
Though that’s how normal people talked.
But quickly figures out that you’re flirting.
Once she finds out she’ll buy you expensive gifts. That’s her way of flirting.
Get flustered all the time but will go along with it.
“You know Momo…I don’t really need these gifts.”
Her smile dropped at that. Did you not like it, did you not like her?
“It’s a gift just seeing you everyday”
Blushing mess 24/7
Will help you with everything
Basically your housewife. She cooks, helps you study, help you fight.
Hates going up against you in fights, she doesn’t want to hurt you.
Aziawa was announcing the teams for todays fighting lessons. “Team 3 against team 9.”
Momo froze. She doesn’t want to fight you nor does she want to see you hurt. Although, she’s doesn’t want her grade to suffer…oh no.

When you keep bumping into your personal royal guard by accident not knowing he is your guardian angel
Pairing: Jeon Jungkook!fallen angel!royal guard! × fem!reader!virgin!princess
Word count: 3.3k
Rating: 15+
Genre + warnings: Fluff, angst, paranormal romance, historical fanfiction, Kook being cold and mysterious, and just being his sexy self. Possessive over his princess. Some kissing scenes in public and in private. Also disappointed parents of Y/n, a little drama and preparations for marriage. The story isn't real, just my imagination running wild so just enjoy reading!
a/n: a little late again, sorry
As you were having breakfast in the big dining hall, you heard loud shouts from outside the big doors.
Frowning, you set aside the cup of coffee you were just holding and asked the nearest servant," What's that noise?"
Since Jungkook left for his morning training and territory duties and checking if there's no more trespassers in the palace, you were left alone with nothing to do so first thing you did when you woke up was take a shower and came down for breakfast.
Expecting an answer from the servant, it was the guard who replied. He was a fallen angel like Jungkook and he looked at you from his post.
"You don't need to worry about that, my lady. His majesty ordered us to keep watch on all entrances and exits. That's what we're here for anyway" he said with a slight tilt of his head like he was also trying to listen what is going on.
Confused, the shouts got louder before someone banged against the big door.
"Let me in this instant! There is my daughter!" Your father's voice echoed through the palace with your eyes wide.
"Please, my baby is there!" Your mother yelled as you stood still in shock before the servant ran out, looking frantic. You couldn't believe you just heard those voices right now.
The guard looked at you worriedly but didn't say anything. The only thing that he could do was stand by his post while waiting for further instructions. "What should I tell his majesty?"
Before you can speak, the doors swung open to reveal your dear father and mother in royal attire. They were first who rushed inside the dining hall with the company of other guards behind them.
As you watched your parents looking so worried, you felt relieved that they are safe and sound. No vampires have attacked them but you didn't know how is that possible that they are here, in the Jungkook's kingdom.
Once they saw you, your father's eyes lit up with relief before he ran toward you, "My daughter" he whispered to you before crushing you in a tight hug.
You hugged him back tightly. He then let go to hold your cheeks so he could study your face in awe before speaking again.
"How long has it been since I last seen you?" Your father asked with teary eyes, a smile plastered on his face.
Feeling confused by all the questions, you said with a smile, "It's not like I didn't see you every day...but why are you here and not at home?" Then after realizing what you said, you quickly added,"Oh, right. I forgot. The vampires."
"Are you all right, honey?" Your mother joined in the conversation, her eyes full of concern.
Since she was never around and only traveling on business trips, you felt weird about her being so worried but you didn't dwell on it too much. The important thing was that your parents are alive.
"How come you're here? Isn't this place hidden from humans?" You asked with confusion.
Your father simply smiled and took your hands in his," It doesn't matter now. Vampires had been terminated from our land and it is safe to go back home. We just wanted to retrieve you ourselves so no harm is done to you and,-" stopping mid sentence, he looks down at your neck like he just saw something strange," What's that collar around your neck?" Your father pointed to your inked mark necklace which appeared when Jungkook marked you.
"Umm, well -" you started to stutter, feeling shy and embarrassed to explain such a sensitive situation, especially to your parents, when you suddenly heard someone coming inside the dining room with heavy footsteps.
Looking over your father's shoulder, your eyes brightened when your gaze met the eyes of your king. Dressed in his armor, his hair combed back neatly, he looked dangerously attractive when he approached.
Without his wings, he looked like a deadly predator who walked with a purpose ready to attack if necessary.
"Your majesty. Sorry for delay, I wanted to check the palace grounds for any intruders before we come inside but I see you've already met with your daughter," his low voice creates goosebumps on your skin when he walks even more closer.
"Yes and it looks that you kept your promise as she looks fine and well but I think it's time to go home now. It will be best for her if she stays with us before,-" before your father could finish, a hand grabbed your chin before pulling you into a chaste kiss.
Your eyes widened in surprise as your king crushed you to his metal chest, not even noticing him stepping in front of you since your parents were standing in the way.
"What are you doing?!" Your father shouted and wanted to push Jungkook away from you but is stopped by some unseen force when you finally got to breathe after the kiss your king pulled.
"Did you miss me, darling?" Your soon to be husband grinned when he caressed your jaw lovingly," Sorry to keep you waiting. Hope you had fun without me," smirking, he left another kiss but this time on your cheek.
Smiling at your flushed face, he turned to look at your father then, his eyes going back to black," She is staying with me and we are having a wedding today so don't interfere. She is safe under my care and we both agree on marrying. If you insist otherwise, I will not hesitate to kill you. I want her by my side so don't test my patience."
Your father still couldn't move but that didn't stop him from protesting," We didn't agree on this! "
"If you don't like this arrangement, then leave now. And it has to be today. We have no choice because the vampire attacks are becoming worse."
"We made a deal that you will marry her when she turns twenty one, till then she lives with her parents. She has responsibilities to hold in her own kingdom! Are you not aware that you're forcing her now? I'm sure you've not even asked her and told her your plan, it's complete nonsense!" Your father tried reasoning his point of view as he shook his head with disbelief.
Jungkook sighed in annoyance," I played nice and let you see your daughter so don't try to stop this. She already has bonded with me," As to prove a point, he kisses your neck and the collar starts pulsing and glowing in blue light, causing a wave of magic that makes you gasp out loud.
"That's her answer. You can choose not to support us now or later. But I won't wait anymore. My time is short and I must make her mine immediately."
"Y/n? Are you really going with this? He's not abusing you, isn't he?" Your mother hesitated to ask.
Feeling anger bubble inside you, it was like switch turned off when you hear them judge him so harshly," Yes, I will marry him. He is the one who has always protected me and always will so don't you ever think about taking him away from me."
"But he could hurt you! He is not even human! How could you even accept an offer like this!?" Your mother screamed at you before turning to your father," Your daughter doesn't even listens to us anymore. Do something!"
"I think she made up her mind already and I want to know only one thing, Y/n. Do you really love him?" Your father asked as he held your hands in his.
Nodding your head yes without hesitation, you look straight at your father," Yes I love him with everything I have. He has protected me and brought me into his home and he is the first person who truly cares about me. That's why I chose to stay here with him."
Turning to Jungkook, he looks even more hungry after hearing your confession.
Pulling you to him, his eyes glow from the emotions coursing through him and his words become husky," This is why I will marry her. No one ever will take her from me again."
"And when do you intend to get married? There needs to be a ceremony in the palace so we might as well start the preparations now." Your mother suggested.
"Let's just start immediately," Jungkook spoke, cutting your parents off before anyone can say anything else.
Your father looks at him with shock written on his face," Right away? Just like that? But preparations,-"
"Are not necessary," Jungkook cut him off again," That's why you're here. You will be our witnesses to our marriage if you wish to participate. If not, my guards will gladly escort you out but you don't want your daughter sad or disappointed, right?"
With that your father nods in defeat.
The dress was tight enough for the top of your shoulders to show a little bit of your pale skin. It was also sleeveless and a very thin layer of material that covered your arms and neck.
The dress was decorated with tiny crystals hanging from the straps that attached to the gown with delicate jewels scattered throughout. It was beautiful nonetheless.
"Can I do your makeup, your highness?" A maid asks you.
When you nod, you watch as she takes some powder, lipstick and blush to put on your rosy cheeks while you sit patiently on a chair.
You were afraid that your hair would have gotten messy during the process but the maids reassured you that you shouldn't worry since their hands were as gentle as they could be.
Once finished dressing your hair, the maid carefully brushes your long hair, careful not to mess it up until your hair falls naturally onto your face. You look pretty and beautiful in your new dress.
Once the maid finishes styling your hair, she gives you the mirror," I hope you feel satisfied your highness. The color suits you so well."
"I think so too," you smile at her softly and then your smile drops when your mother walks inside your chambers and smiles warmly at you.
"How are you sweetheart? You look beautiful in that dress," She compliments you softly.
You turn your head away from her," Thanks, mother," trying not to frown at her kind words, your mother seems to notice how unhappy you were about something.
"What's wrong?" Her eyebrows furrow together in confusion.
"It's just that...." Your eyes started watering again.
You wanted to tell her everything but you knew that she wouldn't really care. She never was around in the palace when you grew up. She only came back from her trips once or twice a year which was the reason why you barely saw each other.
Her visits meant nothing but now, you realized that you missed the feeling of being around her more than you had thought.
"I just...," not knowing how to say it, your mother sits next to you on a chair, pity in her gaze.
"Is it his majesty? You're not happy with him? It's not too late to back out and you can come with us home. It would be better if,-"
"No! It's nothing like that! I love him! " Your voice gets louder as tears started falling faster down your face.
Your mother looked surprised at first, unsure about how to react," You love him?"
You nodded your head," I've loved him since forever. Since the moment I met him, I've been fascinated by him. But I didn't realize what' i felt when I became attracted to him. When he kissed me, when he smiled at me, the feelings intensified. Then I fell in love with him and I couldn't imagine my life without him. So please, help me, mom. Tell dad to back down from his stupid demands but promise that you'll support me in getting married today!"
"Why wouldn't I support you?"
"You've never been by my side when I needed to make my own decisions. It was my father who always made sure I was okay so of course I'm asking you for support. You owe me that much, mother.”
She sighed deeply," I really don't agree with this agreement though. I want you to choose someone better than this man, someone worthy of you. Someone who can give you the happiness you deserve. He may seem handsome and caring yet deep down inside he has selfish desires and he's just using you. Your father didn't told you that he is trying to go back to heaven once he proves himself worthy, did he?"
Confused, you frown at her," He said something about proving himself to the higher angels once he is done building his kingdom here but he never said anything about going back to heaven. I'm sure you've misunderstood something,"
"I think he's planning to betray you, Y/n."
"What?"
"He said that once he finds proof that he is worthy, he will return to heaven. So I advise for you to think before you jump into this marriage,"
"There's no point in thinking about it. Even if he does find proofs against him, he'll still come back to me anyway. He loves me more than any single word ever written. We are perfect together, mom. Everything about our story is true," you argue with her.
Smiling sadly at you, your mother shook her head," I'm sorry my dear. Maybe you'll understand someday in time but don't you think that marrying this man is a huge mistake?"
"No. I've already made the decision long ago. I've chosen him and no matter what happens later, we will get through it together so stop trying to stop me."
"But you're the heir to the throne! You have responsibilities and people to think of! You can't leave your kingdom behind because of one selfish man. Think about your future! What's going to happen to us if you decide to marry him and there is no one who continues to run the kingdom?!"
"Mom," You whisper.
Sighing heavily, your mother runs her fingers through her curly hair. "Just, please think about this seriously. Don't do this. Please, please reconsider." With these last words, she got up from her seat and leaves your chambers.
Closing your door quietly behind her, the maid who was doing your makeup comes back inside since she left so you can talk to your mother in private.
"What happened to your eyes, your highness? Were you crying?"
"It's nothing. My mother and I had a disagreement over something. She doesn't believe in marriage so I think I'm free to decide what will happen to our kingdoms once I am married," You smile at her, hoping it would ease her worries, but she simply shakes her head and goes back to applying makeup to you.
When she finishes, she dismisses herself with a bow and lets you know that everyone has gathered in the throne room for the ceremony. Thanking her, you let yourself breathe for a moment before you walk out yourself.
Trying to calm your nerves, the sudden sensation over your shoulder makes you shiver and you glance over to see Jungkook standing by the window.
"When did you get here?" You ask nervously.
Then you notice his royal suit for the ceremony.
Completely black but for the white cape that hangs loosely on his shoulders which is strapped by shiny black gem stones.
His expression is unreadable as he stares at you. His hands are tucked behind his back and he is leaning against the wall besides the window.
"A couple minutes ago," He answers simply.
Taking another deep breath, you lower your gaze and try to control your nerves.
"Uh-it's a bad sign if you see the bride before the wedding," You joke as you laugh humorlessly, your heart rate picking up the pace.
"Oh yeah?" He asks with interest.
You swallow hard. "Yeah. That means we're going to fight."
Jungkook raises an eyebrow as he tries to hold back a grin," Is that so?" He says playfully.
"Mhm," You answer nodding your head, agreeing with whatever he says even though you weren't sure anymore.
Your conversation with mother still clouded your mind and you were afraid to speak again about something related to it. After taking a few more deep breaths, you decide to bring up the topic.
"So...," You clear your throat, trying not to stutter." When did you really came inside? I would've seen you because I was only here with one of your maids. She helped me dress up."
"Oh? I thought saw your mother walking out of our bedroom."
Waiting for you to deny, you nodded your head," Yes, she was here."
"What did you two talk about?"
"Nothing important." You lie.
He walks closer to you, making you feel nervous all of the sudden. You could smell his strong cologne as he leans in, staring intensely at you.
His eyes seem to stare into your soul as you try to not hover in place.
"Lying doesn't suit you, princess." He flashes his teeth in a sharp smile.
"What makes you say that?" You ask sarcastically.
He smiles even wider," I heard every word your mother told you. About how she doesn't approve our marriage, our relationship and that I'm just using you to my own benefit."
"H-how?" You manage to utter as you blink twice, not knowing how even he knew that.
"I know everything, love. " He takes a step back.
You shake your head in disbelief," How is this possible? Are you able to spy on people from outside their walls? Does it have to do with your magic or special hearing?"
"Both of them, darling," He chuckles.
"How..?"
Jungkook shrugs," Because I'm a guardian angel. There aren't many things I don't know or couldn't find out about someone who's supposed to be my queen. I'm a protector,"
"So you can read my mind too?"
"No, I can't read minds. But I've known you for years to know what you think and right now you are thinking about if that's true what your mother said."
"You mean about that you're going to heaven after you prove yourself to the higher angels?" You question as you look at him with uncertainty.
He smiles," Are you scared that I will leave you?"
"No," you say immediately, shaking your head with conviction." No, never."
"I'm glad. The longer that I spend with you, the easier it is for me to believe that the universe decided to pair you with me. I know for a fact you wouldn't survive without me, especially when our souls are connected. Our souls are linked. That means if something bad ever happens to either of us then the other will die along with the person."
"We're already bonded, Jungkook. It's impossible for something bad to happen. We'll figure this out together."
Nodding his head at you, he replies," We will. And don't worry about your mother. If she believes we should break up, I'll take care of it. As long as you're happy and safe with me. As long as I'm around you. No one can separate you from me. Trust me," He whispers, placing his hand on your cheek softly.
You nod your head as tears begin to fall down your face. "Thank you. I love you. I really do,"
Pulling you close to him, he hugs you tightly, whispering to your ear," I really do, too." Kissing your neck lightly he adds," Now come on, let's go before they think we're late so lets get married, shall we?"
"Wait, Jungkook," you grab his sleeve," You didn't say anything about my dress."
The corners of his lips tug upward," You look beautiful."
"You think so?" You blush lightly.
"Of course," He says, his voice dropping low and sending chills down your spine.
"Now come on, princess, I'll take good care of you so that you'll never forget."
Smiling shyly, you follow him out of the room.

Chapter 15 | Masterlist
I squeezed my eyes tightly as I registered light behind my eyelids. It hurt. I placed my hand over my eyes and my throat grew tight at the movement, nausea hitting me like a runaway train. I took a deep breath, hoping to ease it. My head throbbed and I questioned if I was dying. I surely feel like it. I slowly sat up on my elbows, wrenching my eyes open. The light stung but I looked down, realizing I was still in my clothes from last night and on top of my covers. I went to roll over onto my back but stopped. I was gonna be majorly sick. I jumped up slamming into my door before throwing it open and rushing over to the bathroom. I fell to my knees before throwing up everything in my system. My abdominal muscles ached by the time I was done, and I sat back against the tub. Once I regained my strength I stood on shaky legs and got in the shower, taking my toothbrush and toothpaste with me. I felt so much better after my shower but I forgot my clothes. So I peaked my head out of the bathroom and sprinted across the hall when I saw it was clear.
I got dressed in some soft shorts and a tank top before slowly making my way downstairs. Jake was sitting on the couch intently watching sports highlights on the tv as I made my way to the kitchen. I pulled out some leftover biscuits that Jake made yesterday as well as some sausage and gravy. Hopefully the food and some water will make me feel better. While my food was heating up, I took some tylenol with a lot of water. “Mornin’.” I turned to find Jake in the doorway. His voice was quiet, which was odd for him. Usually he’s more excited to greet me. “Good morning.” I was a little quiet myself but that’s just because I was worried if I was louder I’d make my head hurt more. The microwave went off and I pulled my food out and set it on the island. “Can… can we talk about last night?” Jake asked and I raised a brow. “I mean, I know I was drunk. I really shouldn’t have driven home. I’m sorry if I disturbed you when I came in.” I said, taking a bite of the biscuit. “That’s not what I want to talk about, Katie.” I looked up at him confused when an image flashed through my head. Me on my knees in front of him. I gasped, turning and facing away from him. “Oh my god.” I whispered to myself. “Katie-” I cut him off as tears streamed down my cheeks. I rushed past him and up the stairs to my room, slamming the door shut behind me. I can’t believe I did that! And he wanted to talk about it? Probably to tell me to leave.
No man will ever want you. My mother’s voice. I had to get her out of my head. God he probably thought I was desperate. You’re a whore. I could scream. “Get out of my head.” I sunk down the door, gripping my head. A knock on the door startled me and pulled me out of my head. “Katie?” What do I do? What do I say? Another knock. “Katie please.” He sounded worried. But I couldn’t face him. I couldn’t look at him. “Go… go away.” It took a second to muster up the words. “Katie-” “Jake,” My voice broke as tears streamed down my cheeks. “Please.” Silence filled the space for what felt like hours, but in reality was probably a minute. I heard movement before he spoke again. “Your food is out here.” He said, his voice low and gentle before I heard him walk away. I sat there for a few minutes, making sure he really was gone and not worried if my food got cold, before gently turning the knob, hoping it wouldn’t make a sound and cracking the door open.
I looked around like a frightened animal, ensuring he was nowhere to be seen before snatching the plate and closing my door. I wouldn’t have worried about the food, wouldve left it downstairs completely had it not been for this god awful hangover. Tears fell into my food, but I didn’t care. I shouldn’t be crying. I did this to myself. You can’t cry about things you brought on yourself. Once I was done I attempted to read ahead in my text book and look over the notes for monday, that way I would be ahead, but I didn’t get far. I still felt like shit so I took a nap. I woke up to a single knock on my door and retreating footsteps. I gave it a minute and opened the door to find two water bottles. I grabbed them both and went back to studying. Once I heard the shower in Jake’s bathroom cut on, I left my room. I took the plate downstairs, washing my dishes, grabbing more water and rushed back upstairs. Jake never took long showers and I didn’t want him to catch me out of my room. Once I was back in my room I decided I was done studying and picked up a book, deciding I'd be better off losing myself to a fictional world. I don’t know how long I was reading for when a knock sounded on my door. “I’m going to bed.” He waited for an answer but his voice made tears come to my eyes. He sighed. “Goodnight, Katie.” It was quiet and I wanted to speak up but I couldn’t. I finally found my voice as I heard him walking away. “Goodnight Jake.” I don’t know if he heard me, but I hope he did.
The next day Jake was gone before I got up like usual, seeing as he has to be on base by six a.m. I went through the day feeling queasy, worrying about seeing him when I got home. Annie and Brook tried to make me feel better but it didn’t do much. So I drove home, preoccupied by driving. Who knew having to actually focus on shifting gears would be such a great distraction. But when I pulled into the driveway I felt sick to my stomach. I walked inside, rushing past Jake as he came out of the kitchen before he could stop me. That’s how the rest of the week went. I couldn’t look him in the eye after what I did. I felt mortified, even if he did seem to enjoy it. He didn’t ask me to do it, but he also didn’t stop me. Part of me hated myself and the other part of me was proud. Proud that I was so bold. I was never bold or brave. But the negative outweighed the good when it came to my emotions.
Come Thursday I hadn’t spoken to Jake except through text and even then I kept it short. I pulled into the driveway after a long study session with Brooke and Annie and saw the Bronco in the driveway. I huffed and got out, hoping I could slip by. When I walked in, it was quiet and I peaked around the corner and looked out the back door. I saw Jake, Bradley and Natasha sitting out on the back deck. I took the opportunity and ran past and up the stairs to my room. I let out a sigh of relief once I shut my bedroom door, leaning on it. I stripped out of my scrubs and slid into some black shorts and the sweatshirt Jake let me borrow a few weeks ago. It still smelled like him, faintly, but it did. I pulled my hair up into a claw clip and sat down on my neatly made bed, spreading my papers out around me. I anticipated a knock and it only took ten minutes for the first one. I frowned, staring at the door. “Can I come in?” It was Natasha. But I wasn’t sure that made me feel any better. “Yeah.” My voice cracked and I turned my attention back to highlighting.
I heard the door close but she just stood there. “You okay?” Why is it that when someone asks that, that’s the breaking point? The question always brings tears to my eyes. Tears brimmed my eyes before they spilled over, dotting my paper. “Shit.” I muttered, wiping my eyes. Natasha walked over, sitting on a clean spot on my bed and moving my paper so it wouldn’t get wet. “What’s wrong?” Her voice was sweet, concern lacing her tone. My bottom lip wobbled and I looked up to the ceiling, taking a deep breath. “Katie? What’s going on?” She asked, grabbing my hand. “I fucked up.” I whispered, shrugging my shoulders. “Plain and simple.” I sniffled, meeting her eyes. “That doesn’t tell me what happened.” How do I say this? If this was an exciting girl talk, I’d tell her what I did and we’d squeal like school girls. “I-” I opened my mouth to speak but couldn’t find the words. “I did something. When I came home from drinking wine with you and Bradley.” She raised a brow and I met her eyes. “I was drunk. And when I came in I caught him…” I felt weird saying it. “I caught him jerking off.” I spat out and she sputtered. “You caught him?” I nodded. “And he moaned my name.” Her eyes were going to fall out of her head. I swear! “You sure?” I nodded. “So, I walked over and- and-” “Take your time.” She said, adjusting her position on the bed so she was facing me. “I got on my knees.” She seemed to understand and her face fell. “Oh, Katie.” She said. “He didn’t ask me to do it. But he didn’t stop me. He even encouraged it at one point.”
“I told him, ‘You fantasize about me between your legs. I fantasize about your cock on my tongue.’ If I was in my right mind I probably would’ve never said that!” I threw my hands around and she grabbed them. “So you’re embarrassed?” I shrugged. “Yes and… I don’t know. I feel like I violated him in some way. When he wanted to talk about it the next morning, I’m pretty sure he was gonna kick me out.” Natasha shook her head. “He wouldn’t kick you out. But that is big Katie and you need to talk to him.” I shook my head. “I can’t even look him in the eye!” She nodded, calming me down. “I know. But he called Rooster and I over here because he thinks he did something wrong. He thinks he hurt you! He hasn’t even been right in the air.” That scared me. Not only that he’s not in the right state of mind when he goes up, but because he thought he hurt me. “Katie. He genuinely cares for you and not just in a friendly way, he likes you. You need to talk to him.” I knew she was right, but I was practically shaking at the thought of speaking to him. “You’re sure he’s not angry in any way?” She nodded. “Positive. He’s worried, Katie.” I took a deep breath, hoping to soothe the nerves in my belly. “Want me to send him in here?” I sat stock still for a moment before I gave her a single nod. “Okay. Rooster and I are probably about to leave. But if you want to talk after, call me.” I nodded and she squeezed my hand before disappearing downstairs. My face fell to my hands, the pressure helping my anxiety.
It was a few minutes before there was a knock on my door. I took a deep breath attempting to calm myself. “Come in.” I said, my voice shaky. The door opened and I finally looked up at him. His hair was messed up, not styled perfectly like usual. He had dark rings under his eyes and he genuinely looked exhausted. I felt awful. “Can we talk?” I asked and he nodded, closing the door behind himself before he sat down on the edge of my bed. “Jake I-” “Please, let me go first.” He said and I stared at him for a second before nodding. “Katie I- I don’t know what I did wrong. What I did to make you shut me out but I’m sorry.” I shook my head but he kept going. “I never wanted to hurt you. God, I never should’ve told you that we should forget about that kiss! We wouldn’t have this mess between us if I hadn’t said to pretend it didn’t happen!” He said, getting angry and standing. “Jake.” I said sternly and he turned and looked at me.
“You shouldn’t say things just because you think that’s what I want to hear.” I stood as well, stopping just in front of him. “You didn’t do anything, and I should be the one apologizing to you. I never should’ve done what I did last Saturday. I was drunk and when I remembered the next morning you were looking at me like you didn’t want me to and I shouldn’t have-” “Now wait a minute.” He cut me off. “Katie, if I didn’t want you to do that I wouldn’t have let you.” He was standing right in front of me, so close I could see the flecks of hazel around his irises. “What?” I muttered. “I shouldn’t have let you do it after you had been drinking. But god, I couldn’t resist.” His hand came up, resting on my cheek and I couldn’t help but nuzzle into it as I looked up at him. “You were right, I had been fantasizing about you. I have been for months now. But I couldn’t make a move. Not while you were finally healing and figuring out your life.” I couldn’t help but reach out, gently grabbing his shirt, rubbing the soft material between my fingers to keep myself grounded. “But I couldn’t bring myself to tell you no when I should have.” I raised a brow as his thumb ran across my cheek. “So… you’re saying you liked it?” I asked and there was a pregnant silence between us. He nodded. “Every bit. When I held you in my lap your first night here, running my fingers through your hair. Kissing you. Fuck I loved that part.” His forehead was resting against mine and the heat of the moment caught up to me.
“I have feelings for you.” I spoke quickly and closed my eyes, once again not able to look at him. I expected him to let go of me, to step back. But I was shocked to feel lips, softly pressing against mine. It was sweet and short before Jake pulled away. “I have feelings for you too, Katie.” I could’ve squealed, tossed myself into his arms but I didn’t. “Jake?” I asked and he hummed, meeting my eyes. “I-I want more than just a friendship out of this. But I think I need to focus on school a little more. This is only my second week and I haven’t even had my first exam yet.” He gave a light chuckle. “Just give me some time?” He just smiled. “You can have all the time in the world, darlin’.” He pulled back but I reached up and grabbed his shirt. “But a few kisses here and there won’t hurt.” I said before pulling him closer. His hands fell to my hips as mine slid over his shoulders. Our lips connected and this one was also sweet. I couldn’t help but smile into it. We pulled away and he stared down at me. “Please go to this ball with me?” My face fell and I sighed. “Jake-” “There will not be a single person there that would tell your parents where you are.” I huffed, looking up at him, his hands resting on my cheeks. “I’ll think about it.” He pursed his lips and was about to argue when I stopped him. “That’s the best you’re gonna get from me today.”
He took that as his sign to quit while he was ahead and he just chuckled. “Okay. Want me to make dinner?” He asked. “Hmm, I’m actually feeling chinese.” I said and he chuckled. “Okay. I’ll order your favorite.” He turned for the door and I stopped him. “Jake?” He turned to me, eyebrows raised. “Are we good?” I asked and he just smiled. He stepped closer, pecking my lips before grinning at me. “We’re very good.” With that he walked out of the room. He gently shut the door and as soon as I heard him descend the stairs I let out a quiet squeal, dancing around before I dove face first onto my bed, kicking my legs as I screamed into my pillow. Once I was done, I took a few minutes to calm down and finished up the page of notes I was working on and headed downstairs just as the doorbell rang. Jake opened the door and took the food as I grabbed a water from the fridge. I expected him to set the food on the table but he didn’t.
I furrowed my brows and looked towards the living room to see him setting the food on the coffee table. “We eating in here?” I asked, walking closer. “I thought we could. Tha tokay?” He asked and I nodded. I sat next to him and he handed me my sesame chicken and a veggie spring roll. “God this smells great.” I moaned, leaning back into the cushions and pulling my feet up. But I was caught off guard when Jake grabbed my ankles, pulling me closer till my thighs rested over his. Then he grabbed his own food, resting it on my legs. “Do I look like a table?” I asked, leaning closer and raising a brow. “No. But if you were, you'd be the prettiest table I ever saw.” I couldn’t help but laugh, loudly. I had to set my food down as I threw my head back and soon, Jake laughed with me. “That was so cheesy Seresin!” I said through my laughter. He just shrugged. “But it got you to laugh,” He leaned forward, kissing me softly. “And I love that sound.” I took a deep breath before smiling at him and grabbing my food. “I have feelings for him, but if he keeps this up I’ll be in love with him before I know it.
“So? Are you two in a relationship?” Annie asked as we walked into class after lunch. I had just told her and Brook about how Jake and I made up and our confessions. “No.” They both hit me with ‘WHY NOT?!’ and I jumped, not expecting such loud voices in my ear. “I think I need to prioritize school first. I can already see signs of struggle in my grades.” “Well we can help you!” Brook said excitedly and Annie nodded. “I will take the help, but I still think I’m gonna wait.” They both groaned and I chuckled. “I did tell him a few kisses in between would be nice though.” They both squealed, grabbing my arms. “Okay, we’ll study at your house.” Annie said and Brook nodded. “I’ll set up the jeopardy! We’ll make it a game! I’ll bring the wine!” She said and they were both so excited I couldn’t help but agree. “I can make a charcuterie board.” I suggested and they nodded. “I love charcuterie!” Annie said. “Okay, How does Friday sound?” I asked and they nodded as we walked into our classroom. I just stopped and realized, I hadn’t asked Jake yet. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind but I still felt bad. I’ll ask as soon as I get home.
At the end of the day when I got home Jake was shirtless, mowing the front lawn. I sat in my truck, biting my lip as I watched the muscles of his back contract. “Bark bark.” I muttered to myself. I got out just as he turned to mow towards me. He saw me as I walked in front of my truck and waved before turning off the lawnmower. He was dripping sweat as he walked closer and I couldn’t help but stare as the hot sun gleamed off his tan skin. “Hey, darlin’.” He said with a wide smile before leaning in and kissing me. As he pulled back I stared at him in surprise. “What? Should I have not done that?” He asked and I cleared my throat, shaking my head. “No, it’s fine. It just surprised me. I know I said a few kisses here and there, I just expected you to do it a lot less often.” He nodded. “I’ll back off then.” He turned and I grabbed his arm, my hand not able to close around the bulging bicep. “No.” I said and he raised a brow at me. “I am perfectly fine with all of the kisses. I will happily take them all.” I said, tossing my arms around his neck.
He smiled, grabbing my waist and pulling me flush against him before kissing me again. His lips molded against mine and my fingers played with the hair at the base of his neck. Once we pulled away he smiled before kissing my forehead and letting me go. “I’ll start dinner once I’m done.” He said and I shook my head. “Don’t worry, I’ll do it.” He just nodded knowing an argument would be futile. “Oh, Jake?” I asked before he got too far. He turned to me, humming. “Can I have some friends over to study on Friday? You can hang around. I’m gonna do a charcuterie board and Brook is gonna bring wine.” He immediately nodded. “You don’t have to ask me, darlin’. You live here too. We’ll go to the store tomorrow and get you everything you need.” I nodded. “Thank you!” I sang before going inside to change out of my now sweat covered scrubs. After my shower I went downstairs to start dinner. Jake had now moved to the back yard and I could tell he was sweating profusely. He’ll want a shower before dinner, I know that much. So I kept dinner simple. Chicken and I grilled some vegetables before doing some baked potatoes to go with it.
I heard the back door slide open and he took a deep breath before letting it out loudly. “You okay?” I asked, walking over with some water and handing it to him. “I hate mowing the grass.” He said, looking down at me with a grin. I felt bad for him having to do something that he hates so much. “Oh, I can do it. I don’t want you doing something you hate so much.” I told him, pointing out to the shed in the backyard that held the lawnmower. He just chuckled, fingers gently gripping my chin and turned me to face him. “You’re so sweet.” He slowly leaned down, gently pressing his lips to mine before pulling back just an inch. “But I couldn’t let my pretty girl get all sweaty and dirty doing yard work.” I raised a brow, about to smart off to him when he stopped me. “Don’t get me wrong. You’re fully capable of doing it.” He leaned in close, sweaty body pressed against mine. I already showered, but God, I didn’t want him to step away. I was surprised by how good he smelled, so much so I wanted to run my tongue up the divot that sat between his abs. “But I think I’d rather see you sitting pretty on the back deck, bikini top untied, tanning.” I giggled, practically preening into him. “Really?” I laughed out. He grinned at me, kissing me again. “God, you’re gorgeous.” He whispered against my lips. “Okay. Go shower.” I said, pushing him away gently and he pouted. “Really?” He asked and I nodded. “Yes, because if you don’t, I’m jumping your bones.” I said before walking back into the kitchen, leaving him standing there.
Come Friday the sexual tension between us had built up, leading to a few heated makeout sessions but he stopped every time. It was so frustrating I could cry. I had just finished the charcuterie board and set it on the coffee table as the doorbell rang. “I got it!” Jake rushed by me, the wind off his body shifting my hair around as he blew by. “Ladies!” He greeted s he opened the door. Brook, ever the social one, yanked him into a bone crushing hug. “Good to meet ya!” She said and when she let Jake go his eyes were wide like he was shocked. Brook was tall, around five foot ten, she was more built, spending a lot of free time in the gym. Annie was petite and a little more reserved, so she just gave Jake a big smile and waved as he let her in. “The food looks so good.” Brook said as she walked over. Jake took the wine bottle as Brook and Annie joined me by the couch. “I’ll grab some glasses for you ladies and a beer for myself then we’ll get started!” He said, walking towards the kitchen. “You’re staying?” I asked and he nodded. “Y’all turned it into a game. Figure I’ll be your host for the evening.” With that he disappeared into the kitchen.
“That’s Jake?!” Annie whispered to me and I nodded with a grin. “He’s hot.” Brook said, not bothering to whisper. “I know.” I whispered, sitting back on the couch. “Okay! I got the glasses!” Jake carefully set the three wine glasses down before opening the bottle and pouring it. “Here you go.” He handed Brook and Annie their glasses first before handing me mine. “Here you go, darlin’.” I blushed slightly as he handed me my glass. “Okay. Let’s get this going!” Brook pulled out her laptop and pulled up the game and cast it onto the tv. “Who wants to go first?” Jake asked and both Brook and Annie pointed to me. “Katie!” They both yelled and I groaned. “What’ll it be, darlin’?” I stared at the columns for a minute. “Urinary Systems.” I said and he raised a brow. “For?” He asked, smirking at me. I chuckled before glancing at the tv again. “Urinary Systems for four hundred Alex!” He just chuckled and selected it. “Just call me Hangman, ladies.” He cleared his throat before reading the question. “The outer layer of the kidney is the what?” He looked to me and Annie pulled out her phone, playing the Jeopardy theme. “Oh my god.” I groaned. I thought about it for a minute, but I was so confused. I knew it was one of two things but I couldn’t remember which was which. “Um, Cortex?” He made a buzzer noise. “That is wrong! You didn’t word the answer correctly.” He grinned at me and I glared. “Really?” I asked and he shrugged.
“If you’re gonna play the game, you’re gonna play it right.” I huffed, sipping my wine. “Fine. What is the cortex?” I asked. “Correct!” He announced. The rest of the game went by and we were really just having fun. “Last one Brook.” Jake said. “I’ll take arteries of the lower extremities for a thousand, Hangman!” She said loudly and he selected it. “What is the name of a series of arteries which supply the blood to knee joints?” Jake asked, sounding confused as he finished the question. Brook and Annie went easy on the wine, seeing as they had to go home, but I indulged. I was pretty tipsy and I could tell because my vision moved slower than my body. I whipped my head to my left to look at Brook and it took a second for my vision to catch up and register the side of her face. “The Genicular artery!” She yelled immediately and upon hearing she got it right we all broke out into squeals. Brook and Annie really knew their stuff, but this really showed my weak areas, which Annie wrote down. Brook chugged the last of her wine before turning to us. “We should do this before every exam.” She said and Annie and I agreed. “I’m down.” Jake said, raising his hand as he closed Brooks laptop and handed it back to her.
It didn’t take long for us to clean up, the charcuterie board was picked clean. Finally, we were saying goodbye to Brook and Annie, watching them walk out to their cars and once they were in, Jake shut the door. I turned, leaning my back against the door, looking up at Jake. “Oh, don’t look at me like that.” He whispered, stepping closer. He gently grabbed my chin between his thumb and pointer finger, looking down at me as he stepped closer. His cologne invaded my senses and I easily could’ve climbed him like a tree but I held back. “Look at you like what?” I asked, reaching out and gently sliding my hands under his t-shirt. I felt him shiver and his abdominals contract as I did it. “Like you want me to kiss you.” He whispered and I grinned. “Would it be that bad if I really wanted you to?” I pulled my hands out from under his shirt and wrapped my arms around his neck, forcing him to let go of my chin and wrap his arms around my waist. “No cause I wanna kiss you.”
He leaned down and his lips met mine. There was a fire behind it and I felt it as his tongue tangled with my own. I moaned as he pulled me flush against him and my fingers played with the hair at the nape of his neck. His hands slid from my waist, over my ass and gave a soft squeeze before he grabbed the backs of my thighs and I jumped, wrapping my legs around his waist. “Fuck.” He muttered as I kissed along his jaw before licking the spot just under his ear. He walked us over to the couch and he tossed me onto it before climbing over me, his lips capturing mine again. I spread my legs for him, allowing him to settle between them as he grabbed my wrists, pinning them by my head. “Shit.” I moaned out, feeling just how hard he was as he started grinding his hips into mine. “Jake.” I whined, reaching for his back and tugging on his shirt. This was normally where he stops me but he sat up this time, allowing me to tug his shirt off and toss it to the floor somewhere.
He grinned down at me as he sat on his knees and I sat up, running my hands up his abs, occasionally letting my nails skim his skin. I was eye level with his crotch and I tilted my chin up, licking up to his navel before I unbuttoned his shorts. His cock was straining against the black material of his boxers and I couldn’t help but tug his waist band down just enough to lick his weeping tip. “Katie.” He sighed, pulling away and standing next to the couch. I huffed, falling back onto the couch. “I know. We shouldn’t.” I stared up at the ceiling and he sighed, leaning over me. “It’s not that I don’t want you, darlin’.” I scoffed. “Then what the hell is keeping you from having sex with me?” I asked and he just stayed quiet. “Whatever.” I muttered before getting up and making my way upstairs. If he doesn’t want me now, I’ll make it hard as hell to resist. I smiled to myself, an idea forming in my head. I went into my room, shutting the door and rushing over to my closet. I reached onto the wire rack at the top and pulled down a pair of denim shorts Nat had bought me. I didn’t wear them because they were just a smidge too short but I knew I just had to break them out tomorrow.
The next day around noon I changed into the shorts and a black bikini top. I grabbed the sunscreen, a book and filled a cup with water before walking out onto the back deck. Jake was shirtless and cutting back some limbs and trimming a few bushes by the back fence. He stopped when I walked out, watching me sit on the lounge chair he had out here. I waved and gave him a wide smile before putting the sunscreen on. No man is gonna be turned on by lobster red skin. When it came time to get my back I tried to reach but I couldn’t. “Need some help?” He asked, just as I planned. He walked up the stairs, pulling off his work gloves, the sweat dripping down his body from the southern California heat. “If you don’t mind.” I flashed him a smile as I crossed my legs at the knee, leaning back on my palm as I held out the bottle of coconut sunscreen. He eyed me but gave me a small smile before taking the bottle and sitting in the chair behind me. He quietly rubbed the lotion in, getting under my bathing suit straps, all the way down to the top of my shorts. “What’s this about?” He asked and I shrugged. “Figured I’d take a break from studying and tan. I was getting awfully pale for it being the end of summer.”
I laid back in the chair, stretching out as he stared at me. “Are you gonna stare at me all day?” I asked, looking over at him through my sunglasses. If I didn’t know any better I’d say a red tinge went up his neck. “Uh no. I’ll just go finish the yard work.” He said as he stood. He walked down the steps and back out to where he was in the yard previously. He looked back at me as he tugged his gloves on and I grinned at him, grabbing my book and opening it to where I last was. I read for about half an hour before I flipped onto my stomach. I heard footsteps start up the stairs and I smirked, reaching behind me and tugging the bottom string of my bikini top and undoing it so it fell loose around me. “Fuck.” I heard him whisper and I grinned. “Think you need more sunscreen?” He asked. “It wouldn’t hurt.” I said as I looked up at him. He grabbed the bottle and applied more. Paying special attention to my lower back, fingers running just under the waistband of my shorts, before pressing into my shoulders and drawing moans from me. Then his hands went to my ribs, the tips of his fingers grazing the sides of my breasts and causing a shiver to run up my spine.
“Can’t have you gettin’ burnt, now can we?” He leaned down, whispering the words into my ear before kissing the back of my neck. “Nope.” I popped the ‘p’. I bent my legs at the knees, slowly kicking them back and forth as I watched him step back and lean on the railing and look at me. “What are you doing?” He asked. “Can’t a girl tan?” I asked and he chuckled. “You can. It’s just out of the norm for you. And shorts? I’ve never seen you in anything other than sleep shorts, let alone denim shorts.” I couldn't help but giggle at him. “Maybe I wanna try something different. I’m wearing scrubs all week, so I figured I would try to break away from the dresses and the heels and try something else.” He stared at me for a minute but eventually nodded. “I get it. I’m gonna grab a water. Need anything?” I shook my head, laying my forehead back on my arms. “No thank you.” I said and he slipped inside.
Another hour went by and I rolled back onto my back. Jake wasn’t paying attention to me at the moment which was okay. I put more sunscreen on before leaning back again. The strings were still untied and I decided to take it a few steps further and unzipped my shorts. I didn’t take them off but then I reached up, taking off the bikini top completely. I looked up to see Jake with his back to me which was fine. I dropped the top next to me before getting comfortable with my book. Over time I got comfortable laying here topless, especially since Jake’s back was to me, but I knew eventually he’d turn around. So I decided to set my book down and close my eyes, leaning back in the chair. A few minutes later I heard something clatter onto the wooden deck floor. I opened my eyes and from behind my glasses I could see Jake standing on the top step, staring at me after he dropped some tools to the floor.
“You okay?” I asked, acting like I was unbothered when in reality I was doing everything in my power to keep from blushing. His mouth opened then closed then opened again but nothing came out. “What-you-top…” He managed after a minute. “Oh? My top?” He just nodded. “I decided I didn’t want tan lines.” I said and he didn’t move. I looked down at my chest, deciding I should go inside. “Well, I think I’ve spent enough time in the sun.” I sat up, grabbing all my stuff and including my top before walking over to Jake, kissing his cheek before I walked back inside. But as soon as I was out of sight of the back door I sprinted up the stairs, ducking into my room and swiftly closing the door. “Oh god.” I muttered. Why the hell did I think that was a good idea? I couldn’t tell how he felt about seeing me like that. I thought he’d have a smirk on his face but it was unreadable. What the hell am I doing?
The rest of the week I did things that would catch Jake’s attention. That includes wearing the lingerie he bought me when I first moved in. I wore it when I went downstairs for some water before bed one night, Jake was getting his lunch ready as I strutted by him. He choked on air as I opened the fridge and I had a smirk on my face as I went to bed. “You’re killing the man.” Nat said as we walked into the dress shop one afternoon. She asked me to help her find a dress for the ball that was now two weeks away. “That’s the plan. I told him I wanted to wait, but he’s the one that wants to kiss me. I have no objections to it but when I try to take it farther, he stops and when I asked him about it. He just stared at me.” I told her and she shrugged. “That is weird. I figured if you wanted to sleep with him, he’d be keeping you in his bed.” My cheeks flushed at her words. “So for him to hold back is… not very Hangman like.” I nodded. “So it’s something to do with me, isn’t it?” She shook her head. “Nothing is wrong with you. But I’ll talk to him about it. He comes in everyday already complaining that he can’t walk out of his room without a boner so if I ask it’s not going to seem weird.” I nodded as she walked to a rack and sifted through the dresses.
Soon the conversation turned to what she should wear and after two hours I pulled out a gorgeous bright red gown. It was strapless and flowy and fit her like a glove. “Red is so your color.” I said from the chair I was sitting in. She smiled at me in the mirror. “And navy blue is yours.” I raised a brow in confusion until the sales associate came in holding a navy blue dress. “Nat-” “Just try it on.” We stared each other down for a moment before I caved. “Fine!” She changed out of her dress while I got into mine. It was a gorgeous A-line dress that flared out at the waist. It was off the shoulder, gold framing the neckline and the straps on my arms. It really was beautiful and as I shifted I realized there was a slit in the skirt, coming up to mid thigh. I heard a squeal from behind me and saw Nat doing a little dance. “It’s so pretty!” I nodded in agreement. “Too bad I don’t have anywhere to wear it to.” I said as I reached around for the zipper. “Oh my god!” She groaned. “Go to the damn ball with him! He’s dying to take you and they’re so fun!” I shook my head. “They’ve never been fun for me. There’s just too many risk factors.”
“No one is looking for you anymore. Everyone is sure that you left on your own. Coop, Richardson, nor your parents will be there! You have no reason not to go so you are going!” She gave me no room for argument. Once she dropped me back at the house she came in. “What’s that?” Jake asked as I walked by. “A dress for the ball.” Nat said, crossing her arms in front of her. Jake whipped his head around to me and I nodded. “I’ll be over around three to help her get ready, Rooster will meet us here and we’ll all go together.” She said and he just nodded before standing and coming over to me. “You’ll go with me?” He asked, taking my free hand and I nodded. “Yes.” He just grinned, leaning down and kissing me. I smiled into the kiss and when he pulled away we noticed Nat was gone. “Guess she didn’t wanna stick around.” Jake said and I nodded with a laugh.
I was nervous in the days leading up to the ball. It was the only thing I could think of and it was distracting me from school. Day of, I woke up and puked up everything I had. I could hardly eat all day and by the time Nat showed up, I looked like hell. “Did you not sleep?” She asked and I shook my head. “No. I’m not sure if I should go.” Nat huffed and looked at me in the mirror as she wrapped my hair around the curling iron. “I’m serious. I’ve been sick all day and I can’t even stomach the thought of food.” It was quiet for a minute and she sighed. “I’m not gonna force you to go. I can’t. But I will tell you this.” She set the curling iron and met my eyes. “You cannot live in fear of your parents. You can’t spend your life avoiding the places they may be. Neither of them will be there tonight and even if they were, we wouldn’t let them do a single thing.” She started gathering the curls to pin my hair. “Commander Blair could discharge all of us and it’d be worth it, Katie.” I knew she was right but it was hard. I thought while she pinned up my hair and started my makeup. “I’ll go.”
Even with my eyes closed, I knew she was grinning. We didn’t speak much as I helped her get ready and soon we helped each other into our dresses. “God, you look gorgeous.” I told Nat as she fixed her skirt. “So do you. I bet twenty bucks you make Hangman speechless.” I shook my head. “I doubt it.” I told her. We slid on our heels and I grabbed my clutch before we made our way downstairs. Bradley was already here, standing with Jake. They were both in dress whites and they looked so incredibly handsome. Nat walked right over to them, hugging both of them. “Damn Katie!” Bradley said loudly as he saw me. Jake turned around and I watched as his eyes raked over my body. He was silent as he walked over, slowly approaching before he stopped just before me. We stared at each other for a minute before his hand came up, cradling my cheek ever so gently “You’re so beautiful.”

I love the hange head cannons could you do something similar with korra?
Yes! Also this is for everyone( I didn't put it in my last work because I forgot) please dont reblog or repost with giving me credit.
Dating Korra would be like:
When Korra first met you she was a mess. Her face was red and she was having a hard time talking.
Over time you to got to know eachother and she asked you out. You said yes and she took you to her favorite restaurant.
Korra is very protective. She needs to protect you, I mean, she's the avatar. If she cant protect you. Who can she protect?
She loves PDA, it's her way of letting everyone know you're hers. Small bites or kisses in public never hurt anyone.
If you dislike a lot of PDA she'll respect your wishes, but be PREPARED! She'll be even worse in private. She wont let you go until she feel it's enough.
She loves and trusts you with all her heart so please don't break it. Whenever you fight she gets stubborn and wont apologize.
She'll end up crying and coming back after an hour or two.
Depending on your bending abilities, or if you can bend at all, Korra will train with you. She needs you to be ready in case something happens. She can't lose you.
If you bend fire, water, or earth she's going to be a great mentor. If you're an air bender, not so much...
I'd you can't bend, Korra will train you in hand to hand combat. She loves seeing you workout with her, it's a bonding activity in her eyes.
She'll introduce you to people as her future wife, and will more than likely tease you if you get flustered. If not Korra will find other ways to make your face all pink.
Shes very trustworthy, you can tell her anything. Whatever your thinking, she'll reassure you and talk you through it.
You're her baby, her pretty girl, she'll help you no matter what. Believe me, she loves every bit of you, and she will frequently remind you of that.
NSFW UNDER THE CUT
S W I T C H if I ever seen one!
She loves it when you eat her out. Do it, just once and she's shaking.
She'll beg, and I mean beg. She cries and squeaks, begging for you to slow down. Of course when you do, she begs for you to get faster.
She'll pull on your hair and scratch at your scalp. While her nails are cut down she had a tendency to bite.
(Were gonna pretend straps exist here) She'll bite your neck, arms, chest where she can. Depending on the position, you'll either have multiple very visible marks or multiple non-visible marks.
Now for when Korra is on top? That's a whole new story. She's a soft dom, but dont think that means she wont put you in your place. It just means you'll get more chances, with her at least.
Korra loves to chase you, she finds it cute how you think you're going to win. In the end she'll have you in her arms, taking her strap, begging for more. Your little game of cat and mouse is over quite quick.
She'll either hold you down, or tie you up. It all depends on how you act, if your good, ropes aren't involved. If you're bad...
Dont think that she's going to hurt you though. After having you so many times she get to understand what you like and dislike. Korra can be very rough or very gentle, but you have to voice it.
She could degrade you, or praise you. Call you her pretty girl, or treat you like you're mud under her boot.
"Darling, I know, I know it hurts but you're doing so well. I'm so fucking proud of you! You look so beautiful with my cock buried in your pussy!"
Or
"Ugh, you cant do anything right, can you? I'm getting tired of someone who can't even take my cock properly. Fucking slut! You need me? Hm?"
Trust and believe the aftercare is GODLY that woman knows how to treat you like the princess you are. Water, food, whatever you want, she'll get it.
She just loves you so much, so believe she's going to spoil you.
I really hope you liked it!
