Oh yeah, that does happen. Usually at the time of writing, I don’t always know what the lyrics are about. Then later on, it’s just so blatantly clear.

It’s not about what the artist intended the song to be about always (I have no clue what the artist said about the song themselves). People can assign their own meaning to words. The lyrics can very well apply to a queer love, and I think many who have to hide their love will recognize themselves in this. Little Mix’s Secret Love Song is another one of those songs that on the one hand can be about having an affair, but it’s also widely seen as a queer anthem.

Tkkrs connecting it to Tae and Jk isn’t a reach therefore.
