So my roommate is also into One Piece. I’m not sure if he’s watched any of the anime, I know for sure he’s watched the live action, but earlier tonight he came upstairs and watched a few episodes with me while waiting for a food delivery, and then he got hooked, and then he sat and watched MORE episodes with me without really knowing what was going on. But it was still wildly entertaining to him, esp since I’m right in the middle of one of the (arguably) best arcs rn, and now he wants to finish the arc with me LOL. NOBODY is immune to One Piece propaganda. Or Bon-chan 🥰

#honestly i dont know why i just got this wave of nostalgia for some reason #i watched it in the middle of the pandemic. i distinctly remember binging it and eating icecream sandwiches #ik the pandemic was bad but i. i kind of miss sitting around.........#missing that 3 2 1 lets jam you know.#honestly out of all the watanabe productions its really not my most favorite.#space dandy and samurai champloo are my personal favorites #but i've been in a cowboy bepop mood lately. not sure why #its kind of sad though that its the most popular...WHERE ARE MY SPACE DANDY FANS!! #martyn talks #i was so happy … i was so patient …. i was gonna read thru the manga and then binge it …. this kills the man …#can this poor mangaka get ONE good adaptation of his life’s work. of his incredible creativity and unique style. ffs #i’ve been wanting to delve more into horror this year and i was so stoked to hear the anime was coming out #i mean i get it i really do. animation is incredibly tough and i’m never gonna shit on the hard work all animators do #and the pandemic really fucked up a lot of creative projects and has had a lasting effect on all artistic industries and creators #i’m just ….. really sad now :(
