5 For Tobías and 4 for Eli! (I love seeing others takes on canon characters 👀)
Hey Thia! Thanks so much for the asks - and OMG, I SO AGREE! Dangerous as that can be around here, I love to see different takes, too, and I think it can really deepen the understanding of characters when we see them through different eyes. OK - let's do this!
(Note after answering: I'm so sorry - this is long - I got two questions that were just too fucking good for these two. lol I'm sorry... really.)
#5 Tobias:
OK. I'll attempt to keep this short and prob fail! lol It was complicated. I have a detailed backstory for Tobias, and his life straddled two extremely different worlds. His white father was from an extremely wealthy, powerful, and influential family. Old money through and through. He was practically disowned for eloping with Tobias's mother, his true love who was a brilliant and beautiful woman from a kind, loving, and moral lower-middle-income family. Classism was part of it, but it was the racism y'all. The couple met in college and was forced apart by both families (his because they felt she was beneath them, hers because they feared the damage his family could do), but their love was true and they eventually eloped. Afterward, her family welcomed Charles (his dad) to the family, but the Carricks were not about to do the same for Vivian (his mom).
When Tobias was born, everyone made a concerted effort to mend fences, but with the exception of a few relatives (notably, his Uncle William), most continued to look down on both Vivian and Tobias. Tobias never felt welcomed amongst the Carricks, where he was subjected to microaggressions, even from well-meaning relatives who truly loved him. (This led to major issues with his father that began during his senior year in high school, leading to their eventual estrangement. Then his dad died before they had a chance to reconcile, but that's for another time! lol) His mother's family was where Tobias felt most loved, wanted, and accepted. It was a warm, safe place that came crashing down in his pre-teens, but we'll stick with early childhood for now. lol
Vivian and Charles were good but imperfect parents. They loved Tobias with all their hearts, but they were often absent during his early years. They were determined to prove themselves in their professions and in the Washington, DC, social scene that his father grew up in. Vivian was very astute and knew playing the game would behoove not only her but many others that she hoped to help. She was determined to effect positive change, and Charles was determined to show his family that he and his wife could thrive without their support. But that took a lot of time away from their son. Another issue was that Vivian and Charles loved each other so much that Tobias sometimes felt like he was an outsider. He was an only child until he was seven years old, so childhood was lonely and filled with contradictions. This set the stage for some major drama later on, and impacted much of his future life.
That wasn't short, was it? lol Sorry! It could have been much longer! lol This is my passion project! lol
#4 Eli:
So, Eli and his family are my other passion project - so once again - I'm going to do my best to keep this short! lol
It was extremely difficult. Eli and his brother David came of age in a post-apocalyptic world. Prior to the outbreak, they lived a fairly normal life filled with school, friends, and little league. Their family and home were filled with love and warmth, providing a safe space for the boys. Eli was old enough to recall the racism the family endured (per canon). That took a toll on him, but his family's strength and devotion to each other saw him through.
He was forced to grow up quickly when the outbreak occurred. I wrote of that extensively in A Mother's Journal shameless plug. lol Life became about survival, but his parents, particularly his mother, did all they could to give their boys some semblance of normalcy among the unimaginable. They moved to their summer cabin in the woods, finding it to be safer than their hometown, and it would be easier to live off the land. His father refused to live in a colony (for good reasons) and was determined to remain independent, but this led to an isolated existence, with only a few other families to socialize with... and one by one, they disappeared.
Adolescence, in particular, was hard. It's a time to find and discover yourself, and how can you do that in a vacuum? How can you do that when tomorrow is never guaranteed? I wrote about this in Coming Up Blank again, a shameless plug. lol Eli and his brother struggled with their sexual identities - how do you really know who you are when you have practically no peer group? Adolescence is always filled with confusion and complexities, and Eli's experience was heightened... and filled with a type of heartbreak none of us could ever know. His solace was his family - a place of unconditional love and devotion. He steeled himself to the rest of the world, believing he had all he needed within the walls of his cabin, and in many ways, he did... until that all came crumbling down.
God, I'm not going back to work after lunch so I can write now! (I mean, I wish! lol)
Thanks so much for the asks! :)

13 Books Tag Game
Tagged by @bubblegum-blackwood
1) The last book I read:
Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros - I absolutely devoured this sequel, omg. Obviously it’s nothing fancy or anything like that but hey what’s wrong with a smutty YA? Not to mention DRAGONS
2) A book I recommend:
Perfume by Patrick Süskind - when I read it I had no idea it was a whole entire modern classic, I just picked it up at Oxfam for like 3 for £1 or something but, wow, I can 100% understand how it earned that status! If you like an eery not-too-long horror story with the most beautiful imagery describing some fucked up gothic storylines and a lot of social commentary, you’ll love this book!
3) A book that I couldn’t put down:
Ahhh ok, im gonna say In Memoriam by Alice Winn. The ending was… idk I wasn’t really a fan of the ending, I thought it kind of disengaged and took away from the struggles and severity of war and sexuality the rest of the book portrayed but until that point the rest of the story was everythingggg, there’s a sweet forbidden romance/coming of age/found family in the 1910’s propelling into a story of the horror of WW1 and losing everything you know. All I can really say is that I read it all in one go (more or less) and it had me laughing and sobbing throughout
4) A book I’ve read twice (or more):
I mean… there’s an obvious choice here - The Picture Of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. HOWEVER I’m going to absolutely cheat and also say Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, the drama, the trauma, the vast majority of these characters are awful and I love it 🤌🤌
5) A book on my TBR:
So many… so so many… I’m gonna say House Of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski tho because it was expensive and it’s cool looking and I’ve actually been meaning to read that for a while but boy howdy it’s huge
6) A book I’ve put down:
The Tale Of The Body Thief by Anne Rice UGHH I’m trying so hard!! It’s so many words with so little going on, and I do enjoy it, I really do, it’s so goofy, but it’s so.. i mean verbose isn’t really quite the right word but you know what I mean. Sorry mutuals :( I just need a break to read something short and silly - which I’ve almost finished the little series I’m currently reading
7) A book on my wish list:
Prophet Song by Paul Lynch - it sounds absolutely soul crushing and miserable, I know this completely contradicts what I just said about being in the mood for a silly read but <333
8) A favorite book from childhood:
Omg 10000x the Skulduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landy, guys you don’t understand, as much as I would love to talk about how my mum and I used to sit and read Anne Of Green Gables before bed or my Enid Blyton obsession when I was like 6, Skulduggery Pleasant was my absolute jam - I must’ve read that series (the original 9 + spin offs) a million times in primary school. I did keep up with phase 2 when that was coming out but I don’t know if I’ll bother with phase 3, I’m just too old now and phase 2 wasn’t all that imo - I think it’s sort of beating a dead horse at this point :( but the original 9 and Maleficent Seven/Armageddon Outta Here were my childhood and I definitely absorbed Valkyrie Cain into my identity as a child so that series probably shaped a big part of who I am and my hobbies as an adult
9) A book you would give to a friend:
Love On The Brain by Ali Hazelwood. Silly, nerdy, fun, a cute little Pride and Prejudice-esque enemies to lovers feat. women in STEM
10) A book of poetry or lyrics that you own:
Ok so anyone who’s seen my other poetry blog @apoemadaykeepsthehoesaway knows my obsession with The Complete Poems of Wilfred Owen (I have a lot of difference versions) AHHH by far my favourite poet - as you can imagine with such a young man, you can clearly see his changing mentalities, his growth as a person and a writer, his influences, and really gather a lot of context for what’s going on with him in general through his poems. And he grew up in all the same areas I grew up in and hung around as a kid/younger teen, which I think adds to my personal interest in him too. Idk ig we’re very close friends on a parasocial level lol.
And ofc there really aren’t that many poets around that give such visceral, truthful, and emotional insights to the First World War as Owen does (also a queer icon). He was my intro to war literature and I have tattoos relating to him, he and his work are just incredible to read about, would highly recommend having a look at Siegfried Sassoon’s war poems too; another very blunt poet who was a celebrity and war protestor at the time and happened to mentor Wilfred Owen, as well as being linked with other influential folks of the time such as Robbie Ross, Stephen Tennant, Rupert Brooke, and Ivor Novello. Ok Ill move on :,)
11) A nonfiction book you own:
Surprisingly I quite like nonfiction, mainly history and essays from philosophers and the like. Speaking of, Friedrich Nietzsche’s Beyond Good And Evil is a pretty solid one I own, I’ve never read anything where the author begins by calling himself and all his coworkers socially inept incels 🥹 but even though I don’t remember the specific reason I bought it (I was reading it to argue against some other philosophers in an essay in college and I really don’t remember who or what it was) I remember it being a really interesting read
Or yknow in a more traditional sense of non-fiction, I also have Notes On A Nervous Planet by Matt Haig. Really helped me get through some stuff, if you’re struggling with anxiety or feeling a bit down lately I’d very much recommend
12) What are you currently reading:
Omg ok, The Hitchhiker Trilogy by Douglas Adams, I’m currently on book 3 of 5 - Life, The Universe, And Everything. Really silly and nonsensical space bs but somehow also a bleakly satirical social commentary on the unseriousness of our ‘serious’ world. Really enjoyable, fairly political to some degree, really short (around or less than 200 pages a book), really fun. Martin Freeman truly was the perfect casting for Arthur Dent in the film of the first book. Full of that quintessentially British cynical humour and of course plenty of cups of tea
To give a little preview, the second book literally opens “The story so far: In the beginning, the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.”
13) What are you planning on reading next?
Books 4 and 5 of The Hitchhiker Trilogy, and then I suppose I had better carry on reading The Tale Of The Body Thief :D
Tagging whoever wants to have a go, it’s super fun, sorry if I went on a bit on some of these 😅

Omg Christopher's backstory??? I wonder what other people think lol :)
np!!!
Christopher is the only child in his family because of his genetics since his parents didn't want albinos anymore
Christopher is not the only albino in his family, he got it from his grandmother
Therefore, Chris always had a tense and cold relationship with his parents who looked like ordinary people
I see Pierres as a clan of evil spirits, they all have that dark form like Chris himself, as he's a descendant of aristocrats
(Also they moved from France to US and Canada, Crispy has many relatives in all these countries, and he was born and raised in US and he's bilingual)
Since all his family look like ordinary people, they hide their belonging to evil spirits and their supernatural abilities
Chris was often pressured for albinism and his strange behavior that didn't meet other people's expectations
Moreover, he saw no point in hiding his identity. He could never understand this attitude towards himself
Christopher likes to troll his family at that, however it doesn't affect mental health very well, and Chris' relationship with his relatives is close to unbearable
Christopher never liked that his family lived exclusively in the inner circle of their clan. Being street-raised is another extreme and escapism. But nonetheless
Chris treats only a couple of cousins and nephews without passive aggression. Who possibly were close to him in childhood. Other relatives are not welcomed by him
Christopher went to the school theater club together with Candle Queen aka Chloe. They usually fought for the right to play leading roles, and caused the most fuss and drama in the club
He graduated from the theater university and thus proved that he could achieve everything despite his albinism and eccentric behavior
Crispy uses a unique vocabulary, has artistry. He loves literature, especially The Picture of Dorian Gray
When he grew up, he remained loyal to his roots and fell in love with high style and high refined cuisine. His house, inherited from his parents, is also decorated in a near-Gothic style from the inside
Christopher's parents moved closer to the rest of the family, and Chris was left alone in a place of joy and just happily lives for his own pleasure
Christopher's family says that he was always out of his mind. From childhood, they tried to take him not really serious because he behaved differently than expected. A stereotype of him as a crazy and out of sorts boy has been settled. So they justify all the actions of Pierre Jr. solely by this and ~are not surprised~ every time he acts (but they still don't hide their disappointment)
here i talked about his albinism and vision problems as i see it
thanks for asking!!! I probably should make a list of my all existing headcanons

(Your blog feels nice so deciding not to be anon anymore 💝)
Continuing the idea of Benoit and Philip having all girls, I think they’d definitely get sick of the kind of comments they’d get, especially if in offhand interactions people assumed they’re typical like straight men who would be mad about having only girls.
Benoit would probably blow up at someone after seeing them get disappointed for him at the mention of his kids one too many times, also for any ridiculous comments. Especially people telling his kids they can’t do something because “it’s for boys.”
Also I am imagining one of the girls is named Cordelia cause it’s Shakespearean but also a southern name and the right amount of drama for Benoit 😆
Awwww, thank you, love! That is too kind. If you ever feel inclined to return to anon, I totally understand but I am so glad I seem nice. 💕
Honestly, they would. I feel like neither went into the pregnancies thinking of if they wanted girls or boys because they had no plans to raise them differently based on that. Maybe Benoit had some old-fashioned Southern-based ideas about it before, but he makes a conscious effort to get rid of them with the knowledge that he would be heartbroken if anyone thought a certain way about their family. And he and Philip just get tired of it after a while. Even relative and friends, well-meaning as they are, will say things like “fingers crossed for a boy this time” during Benoit’s pregnancies. The worst is strangers, people they don’t even know giving sympathetic looks at the grocery or snidely saying shit like “girls are always harder” if one is throwing a tantrum.
Both do their best to brush it off or make a sarcastic comment in return, but they are also likely to snap at some point. I’m imagining a scenario in which they’re interacting with family (because I love imagining the extended family of beloved characters) and maybe one of them has a sister that has a baby after they’ve had a couple of their kids and it is a boy. And suddenly, whoever’s mother it is is gushing over the grandson and bringing all these things into the mix (be it heirlooms or certain experiences) that had been designated to the first son of the next generation. Either Benoit or Philip makes a comment along the line of “I thought it was the first child”, to which she replies “Well, I suppose, but our family has always had sons first, so it’s first son” and he replies “That’s not tradition, but coincidence. [Name] was born first.” And it definitely causes a tiff.
Omg, Cordelia is a lovely name. I’ll have to think of names specific to the “seven girls universe” versus the “three and three universe”. Should that be how I label them? I love y’all’s input and ideas~!

1 series: The Morning Show, 3 seasons, binge watched 2 nights, all episodes.
SPOILERS
My thoughts...
I'll start off by saying it wasn't what I was expecting. For some reason I thought it was comedy, boy did find out how wrong I was. However I ended up pleasantly, surprise., especially the subject matters that the series tackles. Also, interpersonal relationships at the core of the series. No matter what those relationships are co-workers, friendships, romantic relationships, just all of them. My favorite one, (which isn't always the case, depends on the series), is 💕Bradley and Laura💕. Which my heart is bleeding for right now, the writers better fix that in season 4 is all I have to say! Because as Lesbian couples go, they are the healthiest, most positive, cutest, just beautiful lesbian relationship I've ever seen portrayed in series, movie, what have you. I know it a drama... but they really need to put the lesbian couple through so much!?! First Cory outs them because the asshole man child was all jelly of Bradley being with Laura, not him, then the first time Hal shows up in NYC, Bradley's mom dying of covid, she pushes Laura away and said all those horrible things to her, than they get back together only have Hal's bullshit on January 6th basically throw a bomb in the middle of their lesbian love! 😭💔😭 Omg I cried so many times throughout the whole 3 seasons, but especially for everything Laura and Bradley were put through.
Then going back in time to moments that weren't that long ago, but change our history. Was odd, but a important reminder especially this close to the election. Cast just insanely great who they got to be in it. I also just love how many of the producers, writers and directors for the series are women. That both Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston are exclusive producers on the series also. It's just a well rounded series.
I want season 4 now!! I don't want to have to wait until 2025 for it. I'm so impatient!

Oh dear, forgive me another rant
https://x.com/drakevagabond/status/1782283929556566338?s=46
Hmm, oh let me use the autistic one because oh boy I love the surface levels shit
You picking up the sarcasm?
Oooh writers, we are autistic people varies cause by cause. Are you doing the low function autistic (the stand ideals muted ones that middle age/class wine moms exploit) or are you doing higher functing autistic like me?
Because there are several factors as a lot of high functioning autistic people like me have adhd. No seriously I’m surprised how common the two are together. Did Mother Nature say “this bitch is too boring!” and add adhd into the womb
I was also diagnosed under the Asperger Syndrome until the change due to it Nazi connections. But let force taxpayers to pay for planned parenthood 🙄
But writers, high functioning autistic people can adapt. Yes I have difficulty look into people eyes, and make a schedule in my mind. But I can get sarcasm, I can function and talk to people. I can use Ubers and go to the movies by myself. Oh and big one, I DO have a sex drive
Sorry I heard there was a tik toker saying it gross that autistic people sexualize themselves because technically they have the mentality of children.
…I’m going to finish this anon with why I point out the CSA issues out in the open vs the codes and whispers.
But that bitch would have a heart attack to huge sexualization inner cities kids are often expose to.
Ugh I’m not on Epstein list I just have autism
But like I saw a clip of the good doctor where the Mc have p la a panic attack over using hand dryers…which had mass production since the 90’s no? Not to mention he a surgeon in modern times
Okay I got diagnosed at 11, but a autistic person who what to be surgeon (you know a field where you can often have the fate of another human life in your hands) would have been filtered out OR they would have given ways to deal with their autism in a extremely high pressure environment.
If my presumptions are right
But I heard abc good doctor is actually a western adaptation of k drama focusing on an autistic pediatrician….havent seen it but I heard he executed a hell of a lot better than his American counterpart and have a obsession towards super sentai
But one issues I have with the positive “representation” of autism these days especially in kids media it treated as a SUPERPOWER and often only SURFACE LEVEL
Even though a lot of autistic people on here show the huge difference between gender and race that play a role in our identity too
And these guides, tbh I think a lot of modern writers (who are often nepo babies and diversity hires) try to hide the fact they grew up in gates and isolate communities and didn’t meet someone different to them on the same levels until college or the workforce
But there are a difference between a white upper middle class woman who live in California and drunk the critical theory kool aid. Vs my ass who live in Chicago area and dealt with leftists bigotry
Also why I pointed out the CSA issues omg the black community is explicitly. Actually due to the whole pedo teacher scandal and the fact that a lot of CSA survivors often have extreme libido so they sleep around a lot
*cough almost Hollywood tried to hide that for decades with their abuse of child actors cough*
So I been noticing that with a lot of black people and I’m not a only one as I saw a presentation where a black guy did point out the adultifaction of black boys when it comes to sexual abused and many black boys were coriecrd to do oral activites to older females or raped like Tyler Perry was a child by one of his friends mom.
And I saw black women LAUGHING at a admit who revealed he was raped at 5
Hey black community, let remember that black boys are still BOYS before getting shot by the police?
Yes that an issues all over especially with the genderfird rape laws.
It gets very annoying
Ya this is just going to do the reverse of what it's intended to do for lots of people, which I consider good, be politically incorrect.
I was also diagnosed under the Asperger Syndrome until the change due to it Nazi connections. But let force taxpayers to pay for planned parenthood 🙄
people don't seem to quite understand why the word "spectrum" is in there at times, which is weird since a lot of them are the same ones that will berate you for not going with their idea of a gender spectrum
Sorry I heard there was a tik toker saying it gross that autistic people sexualize themselves because technically they have the mentality of children.
It's amazing all the things people will adapt the concept of 'white man's burden' to in order to feed their superiority complex while looking like they actually give a shit to people that don't know better.
That and the things they'll excuse for the same reason, they don't know any better than to act like barbarian savages so we can't judge them for that.....
Okay I got diagnosed at 11, but a autistic person who what to be surgeon (you know a field where you can often have the fate of another human life in your hands) would have been filtered out OR they would have given ways to deal with their autism in a extremely high pressure environment. If my presumptions are right
never seen the show, but that feels like a big yikes ya.
But one issues I have with the positive “representation” of autism these days especially in kids media it treated as a SUPERPOWER and often only SURFACE LEVEL
Not entirely new, Rain Man comes to mind. You want quality positive rep do like they did with Corky on 'Life Goes On" had down syndrome and it was shown to be a burden but also shown he had a mostly normal life and he even went to regular school and everything.
And yes it was made in the late 80's early 90's because I know you're already wondering that or had guessed it.
And these guides, tbh I think a lot of modern writers (who are often nepo babies and diversity hires) try to hide the fact they grew up in gates and isolate communities and didn’t meet someone different to them on the same levels until college or the workforce
It's how we got people like shaun "talcum-X/Thurgood Marshmallow" (take your pick) king and taylor lorenz among many others, authors musicians and influencers and such.
That and people like brooklyn dad on twitter who gets paid by some dem committee, several of those too.
Also why I pointed out the CSA issues omg the black community is explicitly. Actually due to the whole pedo teacher scandal and the fact that a lot of CSA survivors often have extreme libido so they sleep around a lot *cough almost Hollywood tried to hide that for decades with their abuse of child actors cough*
Saw a thing with Mayim Bialik she was saying the whole "Quiet on the Set" series was barely the tip of the iceberg, which she'd know, and also it's sad that they didn't kick this all off with Corey Feldman doing his thing, but he has the wrong parts and pointed at the wrong thing, notice how even after this one it's still crickets.
That one is wild to me too since people are going hard after Dan Schneider for admittedly bad taste and inappropriate jokes as well as that foot thing, but by everything I've heard about it he never touched anyone inappropriately, I may have missed it, so far though I haven't seen anything about that.
I haven't seen much about Brian Peck the guy that was actually accused of sexual assault, which is odd and honestly not totally unexpected.
And I saw black women LAUGHING at a admit who revealed he was raped at 5 Hey black community, let remember that black boys are still BOYS before getting shot by the police?
Ya they don't care about boys, not when it has the potential to make women look bad at least or if caring about the boys might take attention away from women.
If you remember this one
I am not trying to minimize this tragedy in the slightest, it's just a great one to make a point about how males are disposable with.
The girls kidnapped in Chibok in 2014 are only a small percentage of the total number of people abducted by Boko Haram. Amnesty International estimated in 2015 that at least 2,000 women and girls had been abducted by the group since 2014, many of whom had been forced into sexual slavery.
Again, tragedy big tragedy. But did you know
And then we get the girls down at the bottom there as a prominent mention in a search about boys.
Hey black community, let remember that black boys are still BOYS before getting shot by the police? Yes that an issues all over especially with the genderfird rape laws. It gets very annoying
Duluth model is a pain in the ass too, presumes the male is guilty if nobody has any marks on them.
UK, Israel, India, several other countries have a "forced to penetrate" line in their rape laws that make it nearly impossible to convict a woman of rape even if she held a gun to the guys head, they would have to forcibly penetrate the guy for it to be rape.
Which is depressing and backwards

Now that I think abt it, Ace and Jeredy were So. Damn. Fruity.
To be friends at work is one thing but Ace quitting STORM just to Co-parent Chase without hesitation (Trying to isolate him from his friends at first ASIDE) to after getting turned into a lab rat experiment to then STILL stay with Jeredy (Just the two of them Alone in a moving train while the kids did dangerous stuff you KNOW what I'm talking abt), like yes, bby I'm gonna rebel against my old boss, help raise the kid you abandoned, and risk my life against literal psychopaths hellbent on world domination at your side, even after getting turned into an abomination of a monster that only YOU could bring back my humanity both literally and figuratively-
And then Sophia gets back and magically the Sunos are one big happy family. Yay!
It's got it all, the drama, the trauma, the heartbreak, Sophia spending so many years away from Chase she doesn't register him as her son anymore and instead choosing to spend time with Beyal (Who has NO IDEA the damage he's inflicting onto Chase and never MEANT TO, he's also just a teen-!!!) To the revelation of an unhappy marriage from the start, and how it accidentally led to Jeredy and Ace to spend more time together, and with Sophia out of the picture there's nothing stoping them from crossing the line, but then there's the regret, Jeredy's obsessions, his terrible emotional ineptitude and supportive, ride or die, heart on his sleeve Jon Ace.
Jeredy getting cold feet and breaking everything off when Sophia is 'Rescued' to attempt to pretend (Terribly, mind you) to be a happy family again, except it doesn't work.
And poor Chase is in the middle of it all, this boy can't catch a fk break.
His dad uses him and pushes him away when he doesn't need him, his mom ignores him (If downright denies his existence to dote on another boy his age -His friend!!!-)
Ace dives into work, running STORM all on his own, and pretends nothing ever happened between him and Jeredy, all the sacrifices, all the words said and left unsaid, all the energy and time wasted...
Monsuno is a tragedy of astronomic proportions, omg
Jon Ace is the reason (at least one of) that Jeredy is on extremely thin ice. Actually, he’s the reason Jeredy is a spaghetti noodle before it gets wet. You don’t just get close to a man after your wife disappears and leaves you your only child without thinking that the man working with you is a good man to hook up with and make a good stepfather for the kid. I don’t help that Jon legit protected Jeredy from Klipse even when he became Toxic Ace because Jeredy remind him that he’s not some puppet monster and instead the man he’s happy being next to.
Like, I swear, if Jeredy didn’t just lie to Chase about Sophia’s actual disappearance and how he might never find her because he can’t find even a single trace of her, maybe Chase would still see that his dad still wants a companion or a partner in his life because he’s been a single father for so long and the fact that he can’t find Sophia no matter what would Chase understand that he’s not replacing Sophia, he’s just wanting to have someone be with him again. And maybe even if Chase finds out that Sophia is alive and can find her, maybe he’d be okay if his family dynamic is changing and that it’s not going to be so bad because it’s Jon that Jeredy would want as a partner. I mean, Chase trust Jon and has done a lot for Jon to be normal again, and Jon does care for Chase even if the methods aren’t always the best so really, Jeredy should have just said something and not lie because season three was rather umm… lackluster in the family department.
(Okay, this season wasn’t lackluster in the family department, it was just a downright, straight up nuclear disaster in the family department)
As for Sophia, I think even she’d agree that her marriage with Jeredy isn’t going to stay a marriage or be the same anymore because of the years she’s been away from her family. And considering that she’d have conversations with Jon about her family before season three, she’d know that Jeredy isn’t the same man she once married and that he has shifted his focus from her to Jon while still knowing that they’ll at least still be able to give Chase a sense of a happy family. But, it’s still kinda weird that she would only bond with Beyal for one episode and not bond with the rest of the team in other episodes of season three because, as much as I understand why she’d bond with Beyal, she should know that her son has other friends and that they also deserve to bond with her. And also, considering that the episode they bonded was about Tebab, why did the writers not include Dawnmaster in this episode? Like, dude was on Master Ey’s contact list and he is willing to body enemy combatants to protect the people in his contract. Heck, Dawn might even be willing to bond with Beyal and Sophia on the basis that it ain’t his first time protecting those with Monsuno Sight.
Sophia should’ve had episodes where she’s bonding with all of Team Core Tech and not just Beyal. Like, she owes Bren and Jinja her time for being the reason Chase doesn’t suffer from major depression, and she owes Dax for being the teammate that Chase can trust even when things look shady. Heck, Sophia and Chase should’ve had an episode together with Six in it (Think before Pet for more heartbreaking reasons) and get Sophia up to speed about the fact she’s now a grandma. Idk what might’ve happened there but like if Chase had told her things and how Six is family despite everything, Sophia might’ve been curious enough to try and bond with her new ‘grandson.’
This would’ve been better for Chase instead of what happened with his family in season three because despite the changes in his family life, Chase can have his mother back while also having another dependable father (Jon Ace) around even if he’s a workaholic. He’s basically getting a bigger family who wants him to be happy and will try to always be there for him. Now add Six in this and Chase can have a family that wants to heal and help each family member with their trauma. Okay, maybe not all of them considering Jeredy, but there’s no way Six ain’t wanting to help Chase if Chase helped him heal from being Klipse’s clone.
Instead we got the most awkward season and series finale and it was so rushed that if Monsuno had been as popular as other anime, it’d have taken Game of Thrones spot for the most rushed ending.

Okay but who planned the season timeline or whatever they use to plan the episodes and when things happen? Because it seems like they wrote first about the monsters and the episode themes, and added some actual character drama where they could. The more I think about it, the more I realize how well made s1 was written, dammit
Yeah IoRyuu have two episodes and at least one manga chapter where they fight and fall out for a bit, but then make peace and team up to lead the fight against that day’s monster. Meanwhile TaiChiro have arguments, but never fall out to force a reconcilliation and don’t have any episodes for them like the Love boys did. Honestly quite a waste because they would’ve been a cute friendship if they were properly developed.
I’ve been mentioning it a lot lately, but what happened in ep4 with Ichiro makes my blood boil. It’s so mean- in this case, Yumoto would’ve gotten mad at his senpais and shown that they hurt him and his trust on them, like in s2 ep10 when they all called Binan Land sad and lame as it was closing. They ended up apologizing to Yumoto and inviting him to the park on its last day, but what happens when Ichiro’s friends go out of their way to violate his privacy and embarrass him? They all react like his letter, which he wrote when he was a literal child, is uncomfortable and embarrassing to read, including Ichiro himself who just accepts that his so-called friends just put their amusement before his privacy.
Like omg I’ve had friends like that!! Shitty friends that read through my private stuff and pretended to throw my drawings in the trash and made fun of me!! And I was only with them because I didn’t want to be completely alone but I tried to defend myself from them and left them as soon as I could!! My other very kind friends that I’ve had for many years would never do any of those things. And yet Ichiro gets humilliated by his supposed best friend and senpais (also they were in a tv set, so possibly that secret could’ve been recorded and aired on national tv), and he doesn’t even try to call them out for it or make any excuse. Nanao is the one who said “Well if he really doesn’t want us to read that letter, we totally have to read it now!” and moments later Ichiro is still praising him?? FFS BOY YOUR SELF-ESTEEM IS SO LOW PLS GET ACTUALLY GOOD FRIENDS
The fact that Ata, Taiju and Maasa, the villains, have so much more respect and genuine trust in each other than the good guys, just makes me angrier. Why are the embittered, resented bad guys better people than the heroes?!
I want to think that Kyou and Ryouma might have been a different case if we got more information on their friendship through the years, because child Kyou didn’t seem to be lazy or sleepy or anything like he is in the present, he just achieved things easily while Ata had to put effort into them. I headcanon that Kyou isn’t in a good mental place for different reasons and he kinda masks it with just being lazy and relying on others, but it’s not like his behaviour makes much more sense like that.
Every time I rewatch some episode of Boueibu HK I wonder again how the staff even planned this season. Like. Almost nothing meaningful happens with the characters
TLDR the characters with the most developement in HK are the monsters
Kyoutarou is there as a complete contrast to Yumoto while keeping the battle speeches so his characterization doesn't make much sense. Nanao is mere fujoshi bait. Taiju and Taishi have random bits of dialogue that hint at possible arcs for s2 but not enough to tell us what it really is. Maasa has an unfinished arc in his episode, where supposedly he's putting fatty butter in his cookies to make everyone else overweight because he resents Ichiro not defending him when they were little, but then his friends tell him it's fine and then he can move on??? This would work with Ichiro's theme of not wanting to be immature or dense anymore, except they only ever used this theme as a gag (misunderstanding the meaning of whatever the others have said) or to straight up humilliate him (ep4) and continue treating him like a stupid baby. At the end of the season Maasa and him have made peace somehow and that's it. Ata gets in my opinion the closest thing to a complete arc, even if it's just staring angrily at Kyoutarou for ten episodes, then explaining his problem while fighting him and finally getting his apology and reconcilliation. At least it's something. And poor Ryouma is just there to be the butt of a few jokes about how he lets Nanao and Kyoutarou use him, be in a couple of cute shippy scenes, and also for Ata to completely dismiss him from the flashbacks to the point where if they had first met in high school nothing would've changed.
The relationships barely have developement either. Love had anime episodes and manga chapters dedicated to the different close friendships solving their conflicts and becoming closer. There were also many instances of seeing how close the Hakone brothers-defense club and Beppu brothers' relationships were, and even though they didn't have any conflict between themselves, they made them strong sides for the final fight. Yumoto didn't get a character arc but through the entire anime he was revealed to be strong, considerate, forgiving and mature, willing to kindly befriend the Beppu twins for his brother but not let them walk all over him; contrary to how he was presented in the first episodes, like a stereotypical magical girl protagonist. Anyway in HK there's no meaningful conflict between any of them besides Kyoutarou and Ata. Taishi and Ichiro argue constantly but don't show to genuinely like each other after all like IoRyuu or EnAtsu did. Ichiro and Maasa never make any progress to be together again, Maasa hints once at liking Taishi and nothing comes from it, and Nanao and Taiju have the most artificial friendship in the cast that I just do not understand. They just ran an ice cream shop once with again unexplained success and make sassy remarks at each other ever since. And I guess Karurusu and Furanui had a bit of developement thanks to Kyou and Ata in ep12. Idk about the aliens, this time it's like they didn't do it completely well but also not as bad as with the rest of the cast. Maybe bc they didn't appear as much as the humans in most of the episodes
I'm realizing now that a few of these complaints are related to Nanao acting weird
Idk where to put this but I'd like to point out Kinshiro's principles of halting the fight with the Battle Lovers as soon as he finds out that the s1 conflict was set up for a reality show and actively defending them from an attack because they're Binan students, despite still not having received his apology from Atsushi. Ata might've done the same if the HK finale's events had gone in the same order (travelling to Honyalaland to fight Wao, then Kyoutarou apologizing to Ata), but he doesn't feel as a character as deep as Kinshiro in that sense bc they didn't really show him to be in other ways.
Love feels more like an actual group of people while HK feels like they were filling in friendship group roles or something
#the kyou thing is just a dumb headcanon and some projecting#''i love this character i wanna see them suffer'' stuff#apparently ichiro is the kind of guy to just laugh off everything? oof#his character song in contrast talks about never giving up and achieving your dreams with his help if you need it... he's so precious istg

27 just playing the part — falling for ya, literally !
scaramouche x g!n reader
It’s already dark when you all set foot into the carnival, yet it’s still noisy and alive. It’s magical how a parking lot in the fall can be transformed into summer at a Coney Island. The cotton candy machines on every corner, kids with caramel stuck on their cheeks, and the smell of burnt popcorn wafting through the air. It was wonderful. It was romantic. Much better than the sports game.
By the time you can look around and ask what everyone feels up to do they’re already off in pairs. You look to your left to see Scaramouche, who was looking up at the rides the carnival had to offer before turning to you.
“Cant believe I’m stuck with you, again,” he grumbles, grabbing ahold of your elbow and leading you through the crowd.
You hold up your handful of tickets, “I guess we have to use these together.”
You both ride everything. There’s a Ferris wheel and a carousel and bumper cars, where Scaramouche annihilates the court, and flying swings and a mirror maze. The two of you even fold your legs up into the baby train and ride that, too. In between you get a stick of cotton candy, taking turns tugging on it with your teeth. He doesn’t let you pay for anything.
Finally, you reach the looming roller coaster the two of you had been eyeing the entire night, waiting for the lines to shorten and for your stomach to not betray you.
A group of girls let you both cut in line, giggling behind their palms at Scaramouche. The boy handling the tickets stutters his way through handling your tickets and locking you both into the ride, face tomato red when Scaramouche thanks him.
You glance around as the ticket boy checks on everyone’s seats, mentally counting how many people have been all over Scaramouche. You never gave it much thought on how he was one of your university’s most desired men. You now started to understand why.
The rollercoaster starts with a jerk that thankfully snaps you out of your trance. You focus your attention on Scaramouche’s demeanor, his arm draped across the back of the cart you were in, right behind your back, looking around as the ride climbed up a hill slowly. The wheels clinking and creaking with each track. When you round out at the top, right on the edge of the first drop, you spare a glance at Scaramouche who holds a small smile on his face as he takes in the sight of the park around them. His eyes masking his inner child. The carts begin to dip downward at the same moment your eyes meet Scaramouche’s.
You aren’t sure who starts to fall first.

My Favorite Underrated WLW Cinema
To keep this as a memory, after a lot of deliberation, I’m creating this list of all my favorite Sapphic movies of all time. Note that it is purely subjective to me, and they aren’t necessarily big-budget, blockbusters, or period dramas. I obviously love films like Carol, the Handmaiden, etc. a lot, but personally, I love indie films. So, these are mostly Indie films and are quite underrated. All of these have beautiful poetic cinematography and heart-touching storylines. In no particular order:
1. The Half of It (2020, USA):
Probably the most famous film on this list, this is Alice Wu’s second directorial venture after a long hiatus post Saving Face. It’s about a seventeen-year-old girl named Ellie Chu who is basically a dark academia Tumblr lesbian. She liked the pastor’s daughter but well the pastor’s daughter is very pretty so many boys like her. One of the boys approach her to write a love letter coz lesbehonest we’ve been there done that (I mean I’m 100% Ellie minus the swag) and a lot of things happen. Just watch the film to know more. It's beautiful, deep, and sweet and has some tidbits about religion and queerness. Oh, and cute platonic friendships.
2. Desert Hearts (1985, USA):
The shots in this film is literally so ahead of its time, it feels like a period film honestly. Plus, the costume, the landscape- if you’re an 80s fashion buff, this is the best thing that could happen to you. Not to mention the leads are extremely beautiful. It was also groundbreaking for being a film of 1980s that didn’t shame lesbians and made them own up their sexualities. Also, if you like older women, I gotchu.
3. Moonlit Winter (2019, South Korea)
This was truly unlike any sapphic film I ever watched. It’s basically about a teenage girl discovering her mom is gay and helping her get back to her lover. Like? Omg? Also gay Asian middle-aged lesbians and repressed emotions? I’m bawling my eyes out. The lingering shots were especially beautiful and the strengthening of the mother-daughter relationship throughout the runtime as the mother gradually got comfortable in acknowledging her sexuality hit home. Like no, my mother isn’t gay but who doesn’t have mommy issues. Right….. Right?
4. Water lilies (2007, France):
Have you had feelings for your senior? Did you have gay panic in your changing rooms? Did you have homoerotic tension with women in tight swimming costumes? Did you have internalized homophobia? This film is all that and Celine Sciamma and Adele Haenel’s first film together so wink wink ultra super gay.
5. Shiva Baby (2020, USA and Canada):
It’s about a miserable bisexual girl who has to deal with her sugar daddy, her ex-girlfriend, her parents and the outcomes of her pathological lying while her sugar daddy’s wife ( Diana Agron I KNOW) poses a threat to her existence. It’s a comedy and it’s very funny. The set ups were hilarious, the plot twists were un anticipated and the horror music score was so unconventional but it fit perfectly.
6. Our love story (2016, South Korea):
It is probably the most realistic portrayal of a queer couple in their twenties on film. The messiness of it, the misunderstandings, having to hide the relationship from disapproving parents. It is very cute and heartwarming at times, with the lingering shots of typical Korean indie films, and at times it gives you a reality check that relationships are very messy.
7. Saving Face (2004, USA):
Alice Wu’s first child, this is the best lesbian rom-com to exist and that’s on period. The situational comedy, the lovely relationship between the two leads, and a happy ending, Happiest Season could never. It also deals with very serious topics like pregnancy at an older age and homophobic parents with so much sensitivity and light humor. A totally feel-good movie.
8. Kajillionaire (2020, USA):
Evan Rachel Wood was my bisexual awakening and the woman is horribly underrated in film. She portrays this odd girl in this film who has been raised by her con man parents to just cheat the system and engage in petty robberies. Her journey of breaking out of her toxic parents and finding someone who cares for her gave me goosebumps. The movie is brilliantly written and directed by Miranda July and its quirky aesthetic and satire of the system makes it one of a kind. Also Gina Rodriguez is so cute.
9. Fire (1996, India and Canada):
This film overcame a lot of hurdles and managed to provide authentic queer representation in the Indian Demographic as early as 1996. It also ends on a positive note which is really commendable. The acting, the scriptwriting, the themes of yearning, confusion, and coming to terms with your sexuality against the dogmatic and patriarchal society of India makes this film a must-watch. Especially if you’re South Asian.
10. I care a lot (2020, USA): This dark comedy portrays the sapphic lead to be a villain but I honestly loved the film for a multitude of reasons. The plot aka Rosamund Pike’s suits and Eiza Gonzalez’s sunglasses were pathbreaking. Jokes aside, the plot was really unique and it treated the sapphic couple like a regular one which was refreshing. On top of that, the age difference in the couple made my heart rate increase a lot so there’s that. The movie in itself is truly brilliant oh yes and Tyrion Lannister did so well I love him.
This list is in no way exhaustive. It doesn’t have enby and trans masc lesbians, and they are still seriously underrepresented in movies. We also need more black and brown women to portray sapphic relationships. I’m Indian and Fire was literally the only queer movie I had watched as a kid. So we mostly grow up with limited to zero representation. I hope it’ll change soon and people will stop making lesbian period dramas where nobody ends up happy.
Tell me how you guys liked these movies

What is your top 10 hotties from dramaland?
Oh you know I will take any chance to thirst over dramaland hotties. Actually ranking them is so hard though. This is one situation where I would want to give participation prizes for everyone. Everyone is a winner because they're so hot hahaha. But if I really HAD to rank them...
Zhou Yiwei as Xiao Qi in The Rebel Princess
Omg the thirst WAS REAL early 2021 when I first laid eyes on Zhou Yiwei in The Rebel Princess. Wheeeew, there was no shame at all. It's not just the way he looks but also the character himself that makes him my number 1 hottie. Ugh, the way he wielded all his big weapons and his long locks flowing in the wind as he rode in on his horse to save the day. How calm he was in handling everything except whenever it came to Awu or his men. OMG and his chemistry with Awu was just outrageous. It felt voyeuristic watching those two fall in love. I can go on and on and on.
2. Jang Hyuk as Dae Gil in Chuno
Omg Dae Gil, Dae Gil, Dae Gil. Naïve noble young lord who fell in love with a slave turned jaded fucked up slave hunter with amazing pecs and abs obsessively looking for the girl he fell in love with when he was 16. I mean, what's not to love?! That intensity that Jang Hyuk brings to all his characters is especially delicious here. Ahh and all the angst and pain and sacrifice ILOVEHIMILOVEHIMILOVEHIM.
3. Darren Wang as Wolf Boy/Prince Bo in The Wolf
SEX ON LEGS. THE END. I may have been even more shameless in thirsting over Wolf Boy than I was with Xiao Qi. Why isn't he number 1 then? Well, whereas Xiao Qi is wonderful husband material while still being a competent as hell general/murder machine, Wolf Boy is the hot bastard you meet at a sketchy dive bar who you take home for an ill-advised night of great fun. I don't know if being husband material makes you hotter but I guess for this list it does. I don't know!
Cut to save you from all the gifs. More thirst awaits behind the cut!
4. Chen Kun as Ning Yi in The Rise of the Phoenixes
THIS MAN IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND SMOLDERS ONSCREEN LIKE HIS LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. So brilliant, so ruthless, so tragic. And when he lets his hair down?! Ugh, I can’t. The only reason why he isn’t higher is because he’s TOO BEAUTIFUL in a very untouchable way.
5. Kimura Takuya as Haru in Pride
Teenage me took one look at Kimura Takuya as Haru and went YES. He’s probably only this high because of nostalgia but WHATEVER. It doesn’t matter that Kimura Takuya is maybe 130 pounds max at any given moment. The jdrama told me he was an ace hockey player and I went “Yes he is!” This was peak jdrama romance for me. I mean a playboy who doesn’t believe in love falling in love with a traditional woman while fake dating according to the rules of his own game? Yes please!
6. Kim Moo Yeol as Hot Banker in My Beautiful Bride
I’m sure he has an actual name but I don’t know it because he’s always been Hot Banker to me. I’ve been to many banks, seen many bankers, and never in my life have I ever seen one as hot as Hot Banker. Talk about setting unrealistic expectations. Ooooof I love his one track mindedness in his love for his bride and never stopping until he gets her back...IT FEEDS MY SOUL. He also works out a lot and the drama makers were kind enough to show us his work out routine onscreen and bless them for that.
7. Ji Sung as Kang Yohan in The Devil Judge
Gay daddy Rochester does modern vengeance kdrama all while looking fucking hot and brooding in suits and loose blouses. Ji Sung is so daddy in this role, the state is looking for him to pay child support.
8. William Chan as hot masochist shifu in novoland pearl eclipse
Hot masochist shifu with a toxic homoerotic relationship with a psycho emperor whom you want to fuck. He’s THE hot shifu you want to fuck to top all hot shifus (or maybe in his case, bottom?). His character was as hot as the drama was messy/bad. OOF.
9. Jin Han as Feng Xi in Twisted Fate of Love
Hot bastard you want to fuck who only melts for his otp. My attraction to Jin Han is irrational and 100% hormone driven. I have watched so many crap/questionable dramas for this man. SO MANY.
10. Kim Nam Gil as Bi Dam in Queen Seondeok
youtube
Kim Nam Gil on any given day is worth thirsting over but especially with that long hair as Bi Dam. I mean come on, abandoned son of the antagonist queen who falls for the new queen/rightful ruler? The dangerous and cutthroat man with questionable morals who throws it all away for his otp and literally fights through an entire army just to see her again?! His character was totally made to turn me on! I couldn’t find any gifs to do him justice so please enjoy this clip of his last scene where he cuts through an army to reach his lover and falls just short of touching her before he dies.
10. Yoon Sang Hyun as Oska in Secret Garden
OG kdrama himbo with a heart of gold who turns out to be the best bro ever. He was such a hot dummy, even Lee Jong Suk’s snooty hipster songwriter couldn’t help but fall for him. Yoon Sang Hyun is such an underrated hottie, it’s a crime.
10. Cha Seung Won as Jo Kook in City Hall
youtube
Hot bastard you want to fuck who reforms himself for his otp and tries to be a better man for her. Cha Seung Won is already naturally so hot to me but add onto that his crazy hot chemistry with Kim Sun Ah? 🥵 They were so adult and it was so great. Special shout out to his role in Athena: Goddess of War for being the hottest evil bastard in that mess of a drama.
10. Jung Kyung Ho as Dr’s Son in Cruel City
Look, Jung Kyung Ho is as skinny as a bean pole but he was just so sexy and dangerous in this drama! Wheeeew and that love scene with Nam Gyuri.
Special Category: hottie not from an Asian drama - Uraz Kaygilaroglu as Kartal in Uc Kurus
Pictures don’t do him justice, his entire vibe as this character is so hot to me. You know you’re hot when you can make this monstrous bleach blond look sexy. I think Uc Kurus was my first foray into Turkish shows (it’s either this or Destan) and it was all because of Kartal. What’s not to like about a Romani mafioso who is perhaps on the wrong side of the law but is also someone who does everything he can to protect his loved ones and his community and is a bit damaged? He makes a very good case for slumming it!
Some special mentions that didn’t quite make the top 10:
Joo Won’s insane abs in Alice
Lee Dong Wook in anything and everything
Lee Soo Hyuk’s frequent flyer abs in The Scholar Who Walks the Night
Nam Goong Min’s everything in the first episode of The Veil

How would the twst characters have their wedding days How are they to purposers to their lover . Also for the lovechilds adoption or pregnancy?
Ooh :o okay going in order~
Riddle: I feel like wonderland/queendom of roses has very specific and weird proposal traditions that he would follow to a tea, including riding in on horseback and presenting his s/o with a whole bush of red-painted roses, and I feel like he'd be the type to want a lot of kids
Ace: Pulls some cheesy romantic shit for a proposal, probably does one of those 'pick a card' tricks but every card has a 'will you marry me?' written on it, and I don't think he'd be very good with kids and would probably rather want to have a few years with his s/o before even considering that kind of thing
Deuce: Poor bby can probably hardly get the words out while proposing, he's so flustered, probably proposing on a beach date after a hovercycle ride, I'm not sure if he'd want kids or not, probably would want to adopt a teen
Cater: Pulls proposal ideas from Pinterest and sets up like three cameras to film the whole thing to post on Magicam, I'm assuming he is not fond of kids at all and would rather babysit bc then he can give them back instead of taking care of them 24/7
Trey: Does the thing where he hides the ring in a baked good he made, definitely would like to have 2 or 3 kids, he would make a really good dad I think
Leona: Really lazy with it, probably just brings it up in casual conversation like 'hey let's get married', canonically hates kids so no children for him
Jack: Goes just a little over the top, just a bit. But definitely proposes in a private secluded area and spares no expense for his s/o. He's a wolf so ofc I think he'd want pups
Ruggie: Can't afford a fancy ring and doesn't do something spectacular for a proposal, but it's meaningful enough, and his s/o knows he really means it. Probably would make an amazing dad but is slightly afraid of the costs of a child
Azul: His proposal is basically him listing off the pros and cons of being married to him, the tweels help him pull together the setting (Monstro Lounge) and he 100% serenades his s/o. Thinks kids are a waste of money.
Jade: Very simple and elegant proposal, probably in the mountains. Not really a kids person I don't think.
Floyd: Depending on his mood he would either go all out on a proposal or just pull a basic one, or maybe he plans to have a big ceremony and his mood changes at the last minute and he just says it like he's asking them on another date. Probably is like 'omg wait if it's like math then we would have triplets next, right? :o'
Kalim: Pulls together the biggest and most extravagant dowry ever with all kinds of treasures and tries to do the Whole New World kinda thing to propose. Wants MANY kids
Jamil: Something simple suffices, probably a night in with all of his s/o's favourites cooked before he pops the question. Absolutely does not want kids
Vil: I don't actually see him as the type to want to get married at all, not wanting to tie himself down like that and potentially cause drama for him in the industry, which means no kids either
Epel: A whole Texas-style proposal in the apple orchard and everything, he got matching cowboy hats for the very occasion. Country boy probably wants a lot of kids either biologically or adopted he doesn't really care
Rook: Shoots an arrow at his beloved with a ring around it and a note that reads 'Veux-Tu M'épouser'. Claims that his children with his s/o will be 'nothing short of absolutely beautiful!'
Idia: Proposes and gets married to his s/o via Minecraft and deems it legally binding. I really don't think he'd be able to handle kids especially little babies but again a late adopted is an option
Malleus: Pulls some cool magic shit in order to flood his s/o's bedroom with roses, greets them in absolutely gorgeous attire, and takes them out onto the balcony to ask them to marry him. Understands that as a Prince he needs an heir but also doesn't want to deal with a child
Silver: When I tell you I know absolutely nothing about this man that means I have absolutely no idea how he would propose
Sebek: Idk how he would do it but he would do it loudly and excitedly. He wants like one kid max and would guard that child with his life
Lilia: Probably has already been married a couple times and doesn't want to bother again, and he's already got kids ^-^

any girls! dark academia movie recs? i really struggle to find anything not about a group of boys (as much as I love them)

Helloo! It's me again! I have another Howl request if you don't mind, do you think you could do some hc with howl were him and his s/o have a daughter who is really shy and he's teaching her how to walk on air like with sophie?
Notes: omg this is so cute, here u go bun (◕ᴗ◕✿)
He's going to be so excited to teach her. (✯ᴗ✯)
In fact, he'd be more than happy to give his daughter anything.
Only reason she isn't spoiled rotten was you keeping him in check. ( ´◡‿ゝ◡`)
Howl is a drama queen so he'll make it a point to twirl his little one around before lifting her off into the air with him.
"Up we go!"
He'll always make a big show of it just to see his daughter break into a large smile.
It's so adorable watching both of them, your daughter holding on tightly to his much larger frame and squealing with joy as they rose up into the air. ( ꈍᴗꈍ)
No matter how many times Howl tried to get her to hold onto his hands only and teach her to do it by herself, she'd promptly refuse always saying something along the lines of "But I feel safer with you holding me Papa."
He's soft for her so can't say no to that. (◠‿◕)
She likes to hide into his body a lot especially when meeting new people so it was no surprise she clung to him when flying.
Your child will always come running from outside into the castle with her cheeks flushed and rosy pink as she pulls at your sleeves to lead you outside with her where Howl waits.
"Papa said he'd fly with me today if you came too mommy!"
He loves to show off even when it comes to you whenever he's flying the young girl.
Crow boy is whipped for you.
(◡ ω ◡)
Eventually he'll properly teach her to let go of him and skip through the air independently while he stays close behind.
"You'll be fine, I promise. You know I'd never let you fall."
It takes a lot of nudging and calming words but she'll start slow with her little hands completely engulfed in his large one while he gushes endless compliments on how proud he is of her.
"Look at you, you're doing it perfectly, see?
It's a comforting sight really, Howl isn't a perfect parent (kind of a cool laid-back dad honeslty) but he still tries his best to be there when he can.
He's super protective over you and his little baby.
Especially the baby since she's a little more on the quiet side.
So cute.
ಡ ͜ ʖ ಡ
His sky trips with your daughter were a daily habit, usually they happened at sunrise or sunset so you'd always come out to sit in the grass and watch them dance about in the air with her finally able to let go of her father's grip to giggle and spin around.
Howl always makes sure you join in on their flying session and floats down to pull you into his arms.
"It's not fun without you."
He'll hold you tight to his chest even if it's not necessary and whisper to you little jokes or forgotten honeyed words.
Doesn't matter how long you've been with him, he never fails at flattery. (。•̀ᴗ-)✧
You'll end the day by all three of you drifting back down to the flower-speckled greenery while your daughter chatters about the newest tidbit of magic that Howl taught her all the while the wizard fondly stares at her, nodding along to her cheery talking and accepting any pre-prepared food or drink you pass along to him.
The flying lesson will end with a small picnic or you herding them back into the familiar warmth of the castle.
(*˘︶˘*).。*♡
But Howl will always make sure the day ends sweet with love for his little family.
Both of you are very precious to him and he the truly cherishes every moment he gets by your side.

Spirk fanfic rec
Some amazing Spirk fanfic to bless your dash because I’m falling in love with this shit all over again (this is like the 10th time this has happened lol):
Entering Orbit: Jim escapes to Iowa to avoid the media frenzy following the Narada incident, but a late-night miscommunication results in Spock turning up on his front porch; rated m; 30,957 words
Papers in the Roadside: Non-Starfleet AU. Jim owns a small bar in Chicago, keeps on picking up strays and taking care of everyone no matter how hard it makes his own life. Spock is a journalist writing feature articles for the Chicago Tribune; he depicts the world with uncanny skill, but hides more than one personal drama and is possibly under surveillance from the Vulcan royal family. They meet by accident just before their lives start to spin out of control; rated e; 49,637 words
Take Refuge in What You Know: AU - Kirk has moved into a apartment/house and wants to get to know his neighbors. He meets his neighbor Spock, a loner who suffers from extreme agoraphobia. Kirk thinks he's beautiful enigma; rated e; 120,334 words
Listen, this is not only my favorite Star Trek fic of all time, it’s also one of my favorite fanfics in general. It’s right up there with Text Talk and The Shoebox Project from the HP fandom, which if you’ve read, you know are incredible and frankly life-changing. And this fanfic changed my life. The description the author gives doesn’t do the beauty of this fic justice. I suffer from agoraphobia and Spock’s depiction as an agoraphobic man was probably the most well-researched, sympathetic, empathetic, caring, realistic portrayal of what it’s like to be agoraphobic that I’ve ever witnessed in fiction. It made me cry like a child because I had never felt so seen and understood. This writer is incredible, and this fic is incredible. I can’t recommend it enough. It’s an AU, which I’m usually pretty wary about, but it barely even feels like an AU. It just feels like Jim and Spock. The author’s understanding of both of their characters’ is perfect, like just a spot-on portrayal of who they are. This fic genuinely helped me accept who I am and helped me understand that I am capable of & deserving of love. If you don’t read any other Star Trek fics (and you def should read more Star Trek fics because they’re amazing), then let this one be the one you read. I dare you not to read it three times in a row like I did.
Observations: First Officer Spock comments on life aboard the Enterprise and his service under Captain James T. Kirk; rated m; 500,000+ words.
So the author of this fic actually did a thing where they made this fic into two books (similar to what The Shoebox Project authors did many years ago in the HP fandom). They don’t get any money from people buying the books; the cost is just to go towards producing the books. This fic is the equivalent of two LARGE novels. We’re talking 600 pages & up. It’s a huge fic. Now, that being said, I read it in one day. ONE DAY. It’s that good. This is another one of my all-time favorite fics, though not quite as dear to my heart as the one I listed above. It’s focused on AOS, and tbh, I forget that what happens in this book isn’t actually canon. Like it’s so well-told, it just feels like it’s now part of the timeless story of Kirk & Spock. The “professional” Star Trek writers would never be brave enough to do what this author does with Kirk and Spock, though. This fic will make you angry, will make you laugh, will make you cry. It has such a good grasp on every single character. It also shows the love between the crew of the Enterprise, which is always a treat, and it’s beautifully done in this fic. It has a sorta-enemies-to-lovers arc between Spirk and an enemies-to-close-friends arc between Spock and McCoy that is beautifully done and fleshed out. This fic is definitely a journey to go through, and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s extremely slow burn, and you will want to slap both Kirk and Spock (and McCoy) upside the head at certain points lol.
Of Coffee Beans and Green Tea Leaves: The progression of a relationship, through Coffee Beans and Green Tea Leaves. Basically, it’s an AU where Kirk works at a coffee shop to pay his way through school, and Spock visits often. rated t; 16,429 words
Love, love, love, this fic. It’s cute, it’s in character. They have kind of a rocky start together, so it’s got a little bit of that Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy i-hated-you-but-now-i-love-you-marry-me vibes to it. I’m a sucker for that, if you haven’t figured that out by now lol. It’s really good, and a really enjoyable read. And it’s not too long, if you’re in the mood for something on the shorter end of things.
Please Don’t Touch the Vulcans: The "yes" is out of Jim's mouth before he can think about it. Jim is chipper about having time off for the holidays. He asks everyone if they want to spend time together but sadly, everyone ditches Jim over the holidays because they have plans. McCoy visits his daughter, Nyota visits her family, and everyone splits. Not knowing Spock has feelings for him, Jim doesn't even bother asking if he wants to spend time together figuring he has something to do. Something cute, romantic with the boys spending time with one another and confessions; rated m; 17,690 words
Super cute and has lots of Sarek, which idk about y’all, but I’m always a fan of. Sarek and Jim kind of get to know each other a bit, and it’s cute. Sarek knows about they’re in love before Spock & Kirk know lol. If I remember correctly, there’s also some appearances from everyone’s favorite: Old!Spock! You also get a little bit of jealous and protective Young!Spock. So you’re in for a real treat with this one.
The Ren shat’var Trilogy: A split-second decision changes Jim's life forever, as he enters into a bond with Spock in the face of certain torture. Enemies to the Federation emerge from unlikely places, and the command team must contend with unexpected threats, as well as challenges within their own intense relationship. In this three-part series, the Enterprise races across the galaxy to confront the unknown, and Jim and Spock discover the true significance of their unprecedented connection; rated e; 184,411 words
Textual Attraction: Valentine’s Day does not bring up pleasant memories for Cadet Kirk. But the serendipitous switch-up of his cell phone with a particular Vulcan professor’s will make his day far more interesting –and romantic. Perhaps some new memories can be made! 15,900 words
SO GOOD. Just SO good
Spaceman: Academy AU. Five times Spock realizes he's attracted to a barista at the academy spaceport, and one time he decides to do something about it. rated t; 3728 words
Short, sweet, funny. You’ll love it.
Subtext: Texting your Vulcan first officer in the middle of the night is never a good idea. Especially when you have an obsessive crush on said Vulcan. The holidays are approaching and Jim is left entirely Spockless aboard the Enterprise when his First takes shore leave on New Vulcan. After some midnight pining, Jim sends a text he instantly regrets. That is, until Spock responds and willingly continues their textual communications to an inevitable conclusion; rated t; 13,032 words
Cute, sweet, funny. It’s a texting fic. I think you’ve probably figured out I love those. This one makes me laugh so fucking hard. Like actually laugh-out-loud-omg-did-i-just-snort kind of funny. Spock is great in this one
All Spock Wants For Christmas: While Jim is away on a delegation mission, he panics about what to give Spock for Christmas. With help from Bones and Uhura, and in between some spam texting with Spock, Jim realizes he already has the perfect gift. And all it needs is wrapping paper and a bow; rated t; 11,966 words
And here we have another cute, sweet, funny texting fic. Sue me lol
The Morning After: Jim convinces Spock to take shore leave with him on Risa, hoping the time together will help re-solidify their bond of friendship after some recent tension. Meanwhile, Spock convinces himself he's on Risa for one reason and one reason only, to prevent his wayward captain from getting into trouble. After a passionately illogical night of Romulan Ale and chocolate infused liquor, everything changes when Jim wakes with something other than a hangover filling his head. Something he's sure neither he nor Spock can handle. Because if Jim knows anything for sure, it's that his messed up thoughts belong nowhere near Spock's clean, ordered mind; rated m; 50,381 words
HAHA. This fic fucking cracks me up. You’ve got drunk boys pining over each other & not realizing it. You’ve got accidental marriage. You’ve got bed sharing. It’s great, it’s cute, it’s funny.
Take This Sinking Boat (And Point It Home): In which Spock pines, Jim isn’t stupid (except he kind of is), and Christopher Pike has had enough of this bullshit; 6698 words
Pike is great in this one, and it’s super, super funny.
Extracurricular Activities: Spock returns to the Academy from a tour of duty to find an intriguing cadet captures his attention; rated e; 15,433 words
Veritas: Basically, Kirk and Spock are on trial because the Federation thinks they are emotionally compromised by each other, which is putting the lives of their crew in danger. They have to convince a court they’re not actually in love with each other. They think the claims are bullshit. They think it will be easy to prove that they aren’t in love or emotionally compromised, damn it. It isn’t; rated m; 186,80 words
This one is so, so good. A real gem off of Fanfic.net. I remember it was actually one of the first Spirk fanfics I ever read, and it blew me away. The progression of their relationship is really well-done and interesting. It has star-crossed lovers vibes and has some really emotionally intense moments in it, especially for Spock.
A Habitual Affection: Living in 1930s New York with the Vulcan you're secretly in love with is no simple thing. But Jim never liked anything simple. And then, the big snowstorm hit...; rated t; 7998 words
A beautiful TOS fic about one of the gayest episodes of Star Trek. Love this one.
Atlas: Between what was and what will be stands James Tiberius Kirk, in all his fractured patchwork glory. Because saving the Federation was only the beginning; rated t; 135,529 words
A beaut. Really great characterization, and the progression of Jim and Spock’s relationship is really well-done.
