FT Oneshot Review

Doing this because it’s been so looooooong since I’ve done a review for a FT chapter

Gonna talk in depth under the cut but here’s the TLDR version:

It’s a oneshot chapter that takes place a day before the final chapter of the series proper and before 100YQ, definitely a celebration for the upcoming anime series. The plot is nothing major or groundbreaking, but it’s a very cute in-between chapter that is full of typical FT humor, and that’s what i loved about it.

First, i want to talk about the art style

Mashima’s art has always been great, and i love seeing his improvement whenever i read a work of his. The changes from FT 545 and now is rather subtle, but i can tell the difference. His girls are now more soft in features, while the men look more sharp and mature. Even the way he draws eyes are now different. I saw it during the course of EZ, but comparing Lucy then and now makes it more obvious. Here’s a comparison for people

That being said, seeing this chapter actually DRAWN by Mashima feels more like Fairy Tail to me. Don’t get me wrong, Ueda does great work at replicating the style…but in the end it’s a replica. Mashima may be involved in the sequel but he’s not the one in the driver’s seat (maybe more like a backseat driver but Ueda is behind this wheel and I WISH EVERYONE ACKNOWLEDGED THAT STOP PUTTING THE BLAME SOLELY ON MASHIMA WHEN SOMETHING HAPPENS IN 100YQ, HE HAS A PARTNER IN CRIME)

Anyways, since Mashima isn’t completely involved with 100YQ, i can tell fully this oneshot was all him. The style, the humor, even the way the characters act seemed more real for me. And that’s part of why I can’t always get enthused about 100YQ, there’s always a dash of Mashima, not a main course

But this isn’t about me comparing this one little omake chapter to the sequel, so I’ll stop with that now

I liked the acknowledgment that Team Natsu (or at least everyone on the team but Erza) are not S class and therefore have no fucking business taking on the 100 Year Quest mission. And it is so on brand of Natsu to be told this and he be like, “k but imma do it anyway!” I love him your honor

It’s also on brand for all of Fairy Tail to go on a manhunt for him to keep him from doing the thing gosh dangit!

Sadly not enough Lucy T-T I know she’s not prominent because she’s supposed to be in the dark about the decision to go on the mission but still… At least she got to look fabulous for a panel with her gala dress from 545

But what do you MEAN her book isn’t selling well???? She won AN AWARD that shit should be selling like hot cakes! Justice for my queen, I’ll buy all her books!

(HC most of her sales are from the guild and surrounding guilds who know and love her <3)

Anyways, nothing really else to comment on. The humor was typical FT, and the sudden random appearance of Ichiya was wild. He’s just here for the lulz I guess lmao I just enjoyed how wacky the plot was, I missed how silly this manga could be

And the ending was perfect imo. The callback to the beginning of the series with Makarov’s words about following the path you choose really hit me harder than it probably should have lol but seeing him give the team his blessing was nice. I really liked it…

So to conclude everything, it wasn’t a big extravagant plot. With Ueda taking the reins (with supervision) with 100YQ, there really isn’t much Mashima could have written about. It’s a good prequel to chapter 545 as well as the sequel, and it’s a good celebration of the upcoming anime series

I hope Mashima continues to revisit FT independently. If he does, I’ll always be here to read about my favorite fictional people ❤️❤️❤️

oh my gosh i just finished season 3 of mob psycho 100 and ive got to say tumblr has not spoiled any of it and i am ever greatful i have been following you for a LONG while, came in for sam and max and never left so seeing all the mob stuff i just skimmed over real fast. just wanted to thank you for being one of the biggest reminders for putting it on the "to watch" list. just gotta ask, with season 3 out is it worth reading the comics for any unique flavors or diverting story lines like people say with one punch man- i hear people say reading one punch is better then the show at all but i am so impressed with what mob the show has to over that i dont know how it can get better then this ahahah. the ending having cannon aro rep really had me hollering too ah gosh im still so hyped up after that ahahahah

MOB SWEEEEEEEEEEEEP im so happy to hear you enjoyed mob psycho! its one of my favorite animanga of all time..my toxic trait is that im actually such a manga reading elitist but the mob anime is one of those adaptations i recommend as much as, if not more than the manga its just that good. Speaking of manga elitism I would recc the manga! I havent read it in a long time......and the anime basically covers mostly everything but I think its worth it to see ONEs art and theres a lot of jokes they didnt include like the omakes, all of which are hilarious and sometimes the joke just hits better in comic form than it does animated. Plus, you should read the REIGEN spinoff manga if youd like! thats actually where my icon comes from- its set after mp100 and even though its titled as a reigen spinoff the main character is actually tome LOL. its really good and a great read for anyone wanting more after experiencing the main story

Ya know, a ways back someone had asked me if I had any takes on Yoruichi's tattoo --I forget in which ask, but there was a bigger question that I wound up answering and I sort of forgot about the tattoo part entirely. But at the time, I really didn't have anything to say about it anyhow, but I don't think Kubo had released that art of the original Gotei at the time. So as it happens there are some odd little adjacencies now, although not especially strong ones... but I figure I can squeeze a post out of it.

So originally Kubo did a little color spread of all the Bleach girls in swimwear at the beach, and that in turn got adapted into a dumb little filler thing in the anime based off some other omake. It's also shows up in Bleach Brave Souls.

(weirdly a different swimsuit specialadds a different, unrealted, tattoo on her right thigh??)

But in the body of the manga itself, she's never actually shown with it. In most cases we don't get a 100% irrefutably clear view, but there are plenty of moments where her left upper thigh is definitely visible enough that if the tattoo was canon it should have been visible. The most obvious contradiction being her first appearance in her human form on account of, you know... her being entirely naked for that...

Now, one of the most immediate evocations of the sun tattoo would seem to be Ichigo's "Black Sun" motif --although it seems like a "tribal" style tattoo, which would be solid black anyway, making it hard to really assume it's a deliberately associated color-- which is itself actually kind of weird because it started entirely meta textually as part of the pair of databooks, SOULs and VIBEs: the former being the manga databook, and the latter being the accompanying anime databook, together featuring the phrase

"the rain drags black sun down, but the rain dried by white moon".

But this actually conflicts with the manga's use of a black moon motif for Ichigo, and doesn't really appear in the text at all. In fact the only real association Ichigo has with the black sun in the story proper might be the tangential association with Yhwach calling him, "my son born in the dark" when Yhwach himself is associated with the sun and light, and his own mirroring of the black flame(?) motif.

Otherwise the only loose link between Ichigo and the phrase "black sun" is that zangetsu's crossguard in bankai is a manji/swastika --a symbol used in Japanese Buddhism, via Chinese Buddhism, via Indian Buddhism, but originally taken from Indian hinduism where it was itself a sign of the sun god Surya-- and the SchwarzeSonne:"Black Sun" rune was a part of Himmler's stupid esoteric LARPing horseshit he did in the N*zi party, where he just mashed up the swastika, Nordic runes(𐌔), the alchemical sol niger:"black sun", and the Arthurian round table concepts so he could have that dumb mosaic built into the floor of the Wewelsburg castle he had requisitioned.

Sorry i got off topic... point being: the BlackSun was kind of like a leveled up swastika as far as n*zi symbols go, so it kind of follows that Ichigo's devloping powers imply a black sun as the next step past swastika.

But like I said, that's a super loose correlation within the text itself. Rather, the black sun in Bleach actually seems to be a weird recycling of something Kubo did in Zombie Powder: The black getsuga tenshou's black flame motif being a kind of throwback to the black flames of Akutabi Gamma's Karinzanjutsu, and the Ka-rin[火輪]: "Fire Ring/Wheel" having a symbol representing the sun, thus the sword style's black flames making its symbol a black sun.

So what's the point in bringing all this back up if what we're asking about is Yoruichi? Well, Yoruichi may not have had any sort of identifiable sun motif herself, but her ancestor, Chika, does. His name can read as "1000 Sun", although in the context of Yoruichi and Yuushirou's names both having words for "night" in them, it makes sense that Chika's name should actually be read, "1,000 Days", or very possibly "1000th Day" since Yoruichi's name is clearly meant to be read as "1st Night" considering her birthday is January 1st.*

*Her overall gimmick is a reference to hatsuyume[初夢], a tradition/idea that your first dream of the newyear --taking into accounts that you stay up until midnight on new years, your first dream is on Jan 1-- is supposed to have some prophetic qualities. (Incidentally, Urahara's birthday is December 31st, and given his partnership with Yoruichi could imply he's meant to be associated with the Omisoka holiday? but I'm not getting into that here.)

Anyway... all that just to say that her sun tattoo isn't really canon but if it were, it might have something to do with her ancestor, Chika. Although given that their family crest features a moon and they have a night theme to naming, I'd assume Chika's name is meant to be kind of an outlier rather than directly reflective of any family themes.

I dunno, I guess that's not really much of anything actually, since the whole black sun tangent doesn't even link back around... I guess the only thematic link is that in rather literal terms a "black sun" might be most readily envisioned as an eclipse, which in both the Shihouin and Ichigo's cases would be a way of aligning the moon and sun motifs.

(Technically I guess Isshin's relationship with Masaki is a kind of eclipse, as its the overlap of her sun/center of the universe iconography with Isshin's own moon motif via engetsu, but honestly Isshin was never actually moon themed and his shikai just felt like a lazy tack on detail that Kubo gave no real thought or consideration to beyond it being a derivative of what Ichigo already had going on.)

edit: oh you know something i didnt think to mention in the first draft of this.... For a brief window where the soul king had been shown with all his limbs and then none and then we learned about the hand creatures and the heart, some people had the idea in their heads that Yoruichi was somehow or for some reason the left leg of the soul king?? I have no opinions on this as a theory other than it being silly

Succinct and to the point 👏👏 I sometimes wonder if part of dragging things out was because of fanfare. Keep them begging so they’ll keep following the series. It’s a solid and typical marketing ploy. But. It can royally backfire and piss off that same fan base which it’s doing now. I honestly don’t think that was his plan, because he knows if readership (in Japan) dies out for a series the Japanese publishers are quick to shut it down. And now FT 2.0 is getting an anime, so Japanese fans must be satisfied enough with the series. Remember, it’s a Shonen not Shojo so romance is not expected in the series by Japanese fans.

That said, regardless of nalu, you’re soooo right that the FT storyline itself had hit its crescendo already and should’ve just been ended. It just. Keeps. Dragging on…. In FT 100 Like every new bad guy and I’m like SERIOUSLY! Fine you wanted to solve the 100 year mystery, but this didn’t need such a long drawn out plot.

Put out an omake of nalu’s wedding to make the fans happy and move on.

As a long time nalu fan, I can't help but compare how Mashima wrote Rave Master then Fairy Tail, especially the relationship between the two leads of each manga.

The finale of Rave Master was so climatic! Heartrenching! Haru and Elie were separated for a year! She forgot who he was but everything fell into place once they saw each other again. Then they got married!

Then...I look at Natsu and Lucy.

Those two have one of the best male-female relationships in anime, but we can't deny we've sort of reached a plateau with them. Every new development never seems to go anywhere. I just cant help but feel frustrated cus looking at Rave Master, Mashima knows how to write romance! I guess he wants something different with them but he can't just keep teasing them but never let them develop into their potential. My guy we've been suffering for yearssssssss.

Tartaros Arc had it. FT reached its emotional and narrative peak in that arc. No other arc compares. Then everything went downhill but that's a whole different conversation.

Have you seen this comic before? I’m not entirely sure if it’s canon or not, but it cracked me up

Katsuki can act judgy all he wants; all I can think of is the recent marriage talk on your blog here recently. Like Mitsuki seems to be more comfortable/confident when it comes to emotional intimacy with others but could you imagine?

Katsuki’s head over heels for you, and he finds out you feel the same way?

Just the overly aggressive flirting. Whether he’s actually all that good at it or not, whew…that passion has gotta be intense.

Apparently it was successful on our ass, because it’s like we blink and we’re walking down the aisle towards him. And he looks way too fuckin’ smug. Our 0 to 100 boy amirite? 🙄 Always determined to win, and that includes winning us.

(Probably super OOC but just the possibilities have me giggling.)

Yeah!! It’s an official Omake, I’m not sure if it’s from the character analysis book or the weekly manga chapters but I just love the way Bakugou is like “so you suck at saying no” because he’s constantly saying no to the Bakusquad and they never take it as an answer? 😂😭💕

But his mum literally aggressively flirted with his dad to get him to go out with her so I feel like you’re right Bakugou would totally do the same sort of thing when he’s sure that you’re the right one for him? Plus, he’s probably awful at flirting which just makes it all that much better. Like, just imagine he’s doing what he thinks as flirting but it just comes across so overly aggressive and hostile but in his head he thinks it’s working😭

But on the other hand I can also see Bakugou liking someone that does the same thing to him? Like overly assertive women? So when you go over to him and you ask him if he wants to go for coffee and his immediate answer is “no” you’re like “great! Lemme grab my purse” and he’s just sat there like confused and flustered while he waits, and he can’t stop his body from following you to the coffee shop and taking a seat.

Oh man... apparently there was a hidden easter egg message sent out in OPM mobile game.

Today on 29th of September 2022

Titled: "Latest News from the Hero Association"

In morse code.

And it reads:

"I am here to test my new weapon"

I have multiple questions. (morse code tablet here)

Who is here to test and what weapon?

Also anybody enlighten me if today's some kind of significant day across the globe or in japan? Like specific holiday or event or something? That may also be significant clue.

Genos just got a message from Hero association too, in the last chapter.

Is...Genos the new weapon? Of whom? Of Hero association or...some secret baddie?

Sure, at a glance it could just be Metal Knight foreshadowing too and him making an appearance, since him testing out weapons is basically his thing. I think he is slated to appear very soon if we follow WC and apparently he also appears in the trailers for the opm mobile game, but it may be also related to something else entirely.

But this is not something we really need to be told that he's gonna appear anyway is it? But some hidden subtext. People have read the WC and they've seen trailers.

Perhaps it's related to the very end of special Saitama mission in OPM Game: A hero nobody knows. Where player character gets tasked to retrieve the Runaway son of one of Association upper brass and the boy has left behind a crumpled note?

The Runaway boy leaves a note behind, but it's a coded message for the player character to decode (player character may mean us irl people btw).

Not unlike the morse code message people who play the mobile game received today.

The crumpled note, which Saitama and player character decode, reads: "By the riverside."

I have already put thoughts into this game and the easter egg and if it comes to fruition...oh boy we're in for some good shit.

Runaway Boy’s note: Please don’t be sad. I can look out for myself, so there’s no need to come looking for me. But enough bragging. Please just leave me alone, I’ve had enough. Saitama: “What even IS this?” Saitama: “Aha. code. Uses the first letter of each line. This kid’s a real piece of work huh?” Saitama: “Let’s see…"By the riverside.” Saitama: "Well to the river it is then. Sounds like the kid’s dying to be found.” Saitama: “Let’s get it over with. The Sanzu river.

Specifically, the riverbead of dead.

Similarly to the Sanzu-no-Kawa, there is also the Sai no Kawara (賽の河原, lit. I wonder what kind of animation Murata-sensei has been working on, hmm...

Not an omake, original animation but actually related to the storyline progression? Can I hope?

If these two are related...hell yea shits gonna do down. I'm excited and there's not even a chapter next week since Murata has been working on animation and volume 27 instead.

But of Hero association that the message came from and the urgent business he had to attend with? Maybe? Not sure.

Somebody is coming around to test out their new weapon though.

I wonder if HA is going to put pressure onto Genos to make up for other S-rank heroes still being indisposed. He's a cyborg and he's one of the few people who wasn't affected by radiation.

HA wants a new final weapon now that Tatsumaki is also pretty hurt huh?

This might compel Genos to not think about his own or Saitama's needs if the Hero association needs him to make up for all the other S-rankers and work him to the bone. Or take some other drastic measures, such as maybe using an untested core to get more power faster...

I do wonder, if it makes Genos a weapon in more ways than one.

questiojnn cause ur like the only mp100 person i follow that doesnt intimidate me do u know whag chapter the anime leaves off on? and also would it be worth it to read from the beginning despite having seen the anime. the art style terrifies me

omg im so flattered, i love seeing u interact with me ☺️. the chapter that the anime leaves off on his gonna be 92.1 (linked 4 u!) i personally read the manga after watching the anime, just because you get some different things in the manga than you get in the anime, or at least just for the omakes, because they're goofy and fun to laugh at. there are some really funny panels in the manga, even if it's kinda ugly, i think it's fun. just my opinion though :)

Summary: Rogue-nin Sasuke holds Hinata captive after an act of robbery goes awry.

Author's Note: Whew! Honestly, I had half of this done yesterday and worked on the rest today. Please forgive any mistakes. I relied on Google docs to correct my grammar.

I don't have a specific favorite SasuHina art or fic, so I just put together my favorite elements in SasuHina fic. Hope that works. This part is a little bit longer since I included 10 Omake pieces from Hinata's POV. Part 31 is wayyyy at the bottom but follows directly after Omake 29.5.

Omake Part 1.5 - 100 words

Hinata could feel herself moving. She willed her eyes to open but her body didn't obey. 'Am I dying? Is this death?'

She heard a low voice curse. Hinata tried to remember what happened before her vision went black. She remembered dressing in her finest kimono, getting into the palanquin and heading toward the country's borders to meet her new civilian husband. And then...

'Ah, yes,' she thought. 'The bandit murdered my clansmen in charge of handing me over to my new prison.' Red eyes came into her mind. Red eyes that could only belong to one clan.

'Uchiha Sasuke.'

Omake Part 7.5 - 100 words

Hinata steeled herself against her captor. She's no fool. She heard the rumors of his strength. Hinata figured the only way to deal with him was to pretend she was talking to another elder. Her clan head voice was something she perfected before she was cast away.

They rarely talked during their travels. But when he asked why she continued to follow him, she wished he kept silent. She was sure he could hear her heart beating loud in her chest.

Remembering her clan voice, she lifted her chin and answered.

Her shoulders almost slumped in relief, hearing his laughter.

Omake 10.5 - 100 words

Hinata could tell he was lying.

She can't imagine he accepted his clan's massacre so easily. To live without hearing their voice, seeing their smile, feeling their touch. Hinata's heart clenched.

She knew herself how the loss of a loved one can affect a person's psyche.

Unfortunately, O-bon festivities don't allow a grieving person the impact of acceptance.

Still, she doesn't pry and lets him rest. Her eyes wandered to him laying beside her on the hillside. Without his perpetual frown, he looked peaceful.

Hinata closed her eyes and exhaled.

She wished she could feel as peaceful as Sasuke looked.

Omake Part 12.5 - 100 words

She repeated those words to herself after Sasuke's team found out she was a missing-nin. Hinata shut her eyes, unwilling to cry. She couldn't give up her freedom now.

'I don't want to go back.'

Hinata felt a light tap on her shoulder. Sasuke was ready to go.

He said nothing to her on their journey. He didn't mention where they were headed to his teammates either.

She half expected him to desert her. The other half hoped that he wouldn't leave her.

At night, she repeated those same words to him. His eyes were understanding and she felt relief.

Omake 17.5 - 100 words

Hinata softly cursed. Of course her plan to lure the ANBU team away didn't work. Nothing ever worked in her favor.

She bit her lip, trying to figure out the best course of action to save Sasuke. Hinata grinned, seeing the telltale sway of long brown hair.

She deactivated her bloodline and made herself comfortable in her position. She waited.

Hinata was ready to confront them and rescue Sasuke at sunrise. But a commotion entirely not her own, brought them out ready to strike. Seeing her opportunity, Hinata revealed herself. Chakra blazed at her hands.

"I'll fight you for him."

Omake 22.5 - 100 words

Sasuke's breathing steadily became regular as she talked about their former village. She continued a little more even though he was already in deep sleep. Hinata glanced over her shoulder to peek at him. Carefully, she turned to fully face him.

Hinata studied him. Memorizing every line from his travels, the eyebags from lack of sleep, the face that she grew accustomed to seeing everyday.

She felt tears drip from her eyes. 'I can't believe I was so foolish.' Hinata hid her face in her hands. Her shoulders gently shook as she tried to maintain composure in Sasuke's sleeping embrace.

Omake 25.5 - 180 words

Frustration bubbled inside her. Karin and Suigetsu, sitting across from each other, continued to argue despite their shared goal. Hinata sat adjacent to them, anger simmering underneath her calm façade.

"Hinata-sama," Juugo came up behind her, carrying a tray of tea. He placed the tray beside her and took his place, sitting behind her.

"Thank you, Juugo-san," Hinata took the lone cup. "Had I known it would be like this, I would've left myself."

"Sometimes, they need a little help." His voice lowered. "If you know what I mean, Hinata-sama."

She hummed thoughtfully and sipped from her cup, testing the temperature.

"This is very good tea, Juugo-san," Hinata placed it back on the tray.

The large man bowed his head, smiling. "Thank you, Hinata-sama."

The other two continued to argue, their thumping rattling the tray.

Hinata moved swiftly, her fingers deftly touching their chakra points.

Stunned, the two bickering teammates fell on the ground.

"What gives?!" Karin yelled. Suigetsu sneered at her from his position.

Hinata calmly retrieved her tea. "Now, I have your attention. Let's talk about rescuing Sasuke."

Omake 27.5 - 100 words

Juugo's birds flew up in a tree, ending their journey.

"Tell Juugo-san, thank you," she whispered.

Hinata felt her blood coursing through her veins. Her fingertips tingled in trepidation.

They couldn't afford to risk Sasuke's strength. She knew who he was up against.

She snuck around the prison, evading the guards surrounding the perimeter. Hinata scaled the prison wall to reach the roof. She quickly found the ventilation shaft.

Taking a deep breath, she concentrated her thoughts on locating Sasuke's chakra signature.

'There!' It was weak, but it was his. Gritting her teeth, she made her way down the shaft.

Omake 29.5 - 172 words

Hinata knew Sasuke felt the same. The village was too quiet, too accepting of their vagrant ways. It seemed all too convenient a vacant house was available. With the previous owner having died alone, it was an opportune moment for them to move in with the village's blessing.

Months soon turned to a year. Sasuke's teammates came and went as they pleased, leaving Hinata with Sasuke.

She found him in the cold, practicing his kata. He moved fluidly going through the motions ingrained in his body.

She didn't want to bother him, but she knew better than to leave without notice.

"I'll be at the market," she called out. He paused mid-form to walk over to her. Seeing him in front of her, Hinata noticed his breaths were visible from the biting cold. "Is your kata keeping you warm?”

He smirked. "Aa." His eyes studied her as he tucked stray hair behind her ear. "Don't take too long."

Hinata felt her face warm up as she looked up to his face. "Aa."

Part 31 - 632 words

She went through the market, politely greeting everyone who knew her. Here, she was Hana and he was Makoto, two people not quite married but living together.

The market was a little busier during this time of year. The village was preparing for their annual snow festival. Hefting her groceries in her arms, Hinata left to return to her home.

"H-Hana-san!"

Hinata turned at the sound of her alias. A young man came up to her out of breathe. "Oh, Shigure-kun! H-How can I help you?"

The young man blushed. "I-I wanted to help you with your groceries. To carry them for you, I mean."

"That's kind of you to do, Shigure-kun," Hinata smiled. "But I'll be alright." She took a step towards the pathway to her home.

"Please, allow me," he reached for one of the bags. "I'm not surprised Makoto-ji-san isn't here to help." The young man scoffed. "He never seems to help you."

Hinata slightly turned from the boy so her groceries were out of reach. "I don't mind. Makoto-san doesn't need to help me."

"Hana-san, I -- " the young man stopped, his eyes frozen in fear.

Hinata looked at him confusedly, before feeling familiar chakra behind her.

"She said beat it, kid," Sasuke growled.

Shigure regained his composure and looked straight at Hinata. He took a deep breath and bowed. "Hana-san, I want to say that I like you and I hope to see you at the winter festival!" He straightened and turned his eyes to Sasuke. "Makoto-ji-san," he said through clenched teeth and bowed his head. "Good day to you."

Hinata looked between the two males, caught in a gridlock.

"I'm not going to repeat myself," Sasuke said menacingly. Shigure nodded again and stiffly turned on his heel to leave.

A few days later, Hinata found herself at the winter festival, admiring the fresh snow on the plum blossoms and the ice sculptures carved by the village's artisans. Beside her, Sasuke walked with a hand on the small of her back, eyes roving around for the troublesome boy.

"I don't think Shigure-kun will come around, don't you think?" Hinata giggled behind the thick sleeve of her kimono.

Sasuke grumbled. "He won't if he knows what's good for him."

Hinata grabbed a hold of his sleeve. "Come, let's enjoy the festival."

Hinata pulled him around the village, visiting artisan stalls and eating sweets to her heart's delight. Sasuke showed no interest but indulged her whims.

Hinata's teeth started to chatter as they continued with the festivities. She felt Sasuke wrap his arm around her shoulders.

"Come, maybe the weeping plum blossom tree will provide some insulation." He guided her towards the pink flowered tree covered in snow.

"Isn't it beautiful, Sasuke?" she said in awe. She gingerly touched a low hanging branch causing some snow to fall.

"Aa," he answered. "Absolutely beautiful."

Hinata turned to see him gazing intently at her. "Sasuke? Is something wrong?"

Sasuke blinked and turned his head away. He shoved his hands into his kimono sleeves.

Hinata stepped closer to him, using him as a way to shield her eyes from the passing villagers. She activated her Byakugan.

"Sasuke, I don't see anyone tracking us..." Hinata blinked away her bloodline. "I--"

Hinata's arms folded against Sasuke's chest as he wrapped his arms around her.

"I was going to wait a little while longer," he whispered in her ear. Hinata felt her heart pound at the warmth of breath on her ear.

"Wait for what?"

Sasuke gently pushed her away to place something in her hand. Hinata gasped, tears welling up in her eyes. His fingers came up to wipe them away.

"Marry me, Hinata."

Hinata looked up, seeing a small smile on Sasuke's face.

"Yes," she gently smiled, bringing his face closer to hers. "Yes."
