Secondary characters need more love! o(>< )o (Part 3: Olienne)

Olienne is a character we all know but only because he was important to one of the protagonists.

Although their relationship is not delved into, the mere fact that Eruhaben was detained and had a time of mourning after discovering his death says it all (ಡ‸ಡ)

For a dragon that has lived 1000 years he should be used to death, but Olienne was different.

I like the idea that the two of them were close friends, not enough for it to be a Queerplatonic relationship but enough for them to leave traces on each other (*^^*)♡

(In fact, that's because I saw an interpretation like that in a fanfic and I loved it! Him being an otaku is an idea I had never seen before and I loved it.)

We don't know much about him in canon, but what we do know is that he was cheeky, he liked sculptures (he probably made them himself) and long baths, it took him fifteen years to be born and his attribute is wood, and it can be assumed that He was good at creating barriers.

I feel like he could have been used in a better way, his character is incredible and needs more depth but he could have complemented the family very well °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

Perhaps over time he and Eruhaben could have improved their relationship, becoming a romantic or queerplatonic couple who would adopt Cale and Rosalyn as his children (o´∀`o)

Why Rosalyn? Because I feel that if Olienne is as shameless as Eruhaben says, seeing that he took Rosa as her apprentice, he could contribute and over time they would develop a fairly healthy father-daughter relationship ♡＼(￣▽￣)／♡

Besides, during the battle of the jungle vs the empire he could have helped Cale make the trees collect the dead mana or even shoot down the airship.

And without mentioning Apitoyu, I haven't read beyond chapter 1042 at the time of writing this post but Olienne's participation in the war against the purple blood dragons and the church of the holy empire already has me salivating with anticipation ☆ｏ(＞＜；)○

Guys, I just had a very crack thought: LCF fic that is a Barbie: A Fashion Fairytale AU, except Og!Cale is Barbie and Arm is the rival copycat boutique.

This means:

—Since og!Cale is basically Barbie, instead of being famous he was infamous. He was really good at his job (if you haven't seen the movie, in this one Barbie was an actress who got in an argument with the director, which ends with her fired), but he had a really bad reputation so everyone thought he's a bad person with talent. He still has fans because he's iconic and has amazing acting skills, but no one is surprised when he gets fired and so.

—This is a modern AU and Og!Cale has his own acting career, therefore there isn't a big succession trouble (for him to solve) like in canon. He just said he was going to be an actor and the head of the company trainment went to the only child who wasn't too opposed to the position: Bassen.

—Where does his bad reputation come from then? He pissed off someone, who decided to ruin his reputation in an attempt to make him miserable, but he just thought this was funny and convenient, so he let it be. "I can insult so many people like this" Insult = being rude but honest.

—Kent can be either Alberu or Kim Rok Soo. I prefer Alberu, but having Rok Soo go through a comedy of errors because he accidentally broke up with his bf is equally funny. In the other side, making a basically modern prince travel in the most low budget and gradually worst ways (because he couldn't get a first class flight fast enough) to recover him is fantastic of Cale's part.

—Aunt Millicent is Olienne because he's his godfather here.

I'm going to go back at this later but I want breakfast first.

Honestly it's really hard for me to read this novel bc every 2 or 3 chapters i need to take a break. So i can scream and cry and do some breathing exercises to deal with all the feelings (in reality i just lie in my bed with a stoic face but be sure I do all of this things internally)

OG!Cale AU 2

Since as long as Cale remembers, he can heard voice around him or directly inside his head. His mother said that it's because he is special and loved by many. She said that he is destined for something big and to meet many amazing people.

At the age of 16, Cale became the owner of the Magic Tower. He is the official owner but few people actually aware of the change and most still think that Judas is the owner. Because of this, he got Toonka and Harol as an ally earlier. Not only them, Cale also manage to win over Litana.

Cale also a master of using daggers. He has twin daggers he always bring with him. He also an expert of spear as it's come with his ice ability. Not only that, he also can use a bow that come together with his ancient power, Phoenix Heart.

Cale has other 5 ancient powers. Three of them, he found by accident while the other two are according of the book he found in his mother's study.

When Cale use his puppet to roam around Mogoru Empire to search for a fire attribute ancient power, Phoenix Heart, he accidently found two other ancient power with water, Non-existance, and healing attribute, Terrestrial Paradise.

At the same time he is in Whipper Kingdom to take care of bussiness in Magic Tower, he found a room that contain ancient power with aura attribute, Mother Embrace.

And the reason Cale even meet with Litina is because he went to the Jungle to search for a wind attribute ancient power, The Eye of Providence.

Not only Strings of The Performer, he also has Thames bloodline other ability, Puzzle Piece. This is an ability owned by every Thames bloodline ever since they are born. It's weak at first but will become stronger as they grow older. Cale doesn't know about it at first but he found out at the same time he found out about Strings of The Performer.

Besnik (Judas) is obssess with ancient languages and runes. It can be said that he is an expert in this area. That's why Cale family doesn't really need magic since they can use runes that doesn't need mana. He also take an interest in any type of magic, even black magic. It's not his strongest fortee, you can say that it is the weakest, but he is also good at using it.

Cale has been planting seeds since he found out to toppled White Star plans. It's a matter of time and certain conditions when he will use and reap them. By playing everyone from shadow like a game of chess.

He place his people everywhere to monitor the key characters in war. With this, it's easy for him to move them according to the plan. He push Choi Han and his company to the spotlight while he will be the performer that move them behind the curtain.

He never interact with Choi Han. At least directly. The only interaction they has was when Choi Han asked for help but he refuse (instead of insulting him, Cale downright refuse to help him). Since than, his image toward Cale is not good (not as bad as original, but still bad).

One of his chess piece is Fredo Von Ejellan who he got through Esmeray. His self-proclaimed other father figure. He and Olienne often butt heads for this position despite the latter denial that he is not Cale's father figure.

Cale created an organization named, Red Spider Lily. An organization that revolves on informations gathering and 'treasure hunting'. The scope is actually bigger than that. But they classify it into some department. For example, the Magic Tower that focus on magic research. Ancient Rune that focus on rune and ancient time. Slayer that focus on weapons training. Bad Blood that focus on assassination and mercenary. Many people think that they are different organizations, but in reality they are under one leadership.

Save Dodori when the young dragon almost being abducted by high-grade mages. House him for a week and now he keep pestering Cale to keep him. Which of curse result on Mila also started to spend time around him. She babysit his children the others from time to time. Dodori play with them and have Cale teach him a lot of thing. He calls Cale teacher.

One day when he enjoy a day off with the kids on the beach, another dragon named Rhaseel brag in. And now Cale has another one dragon around him.

Somehow also have crown prince Valentino in his collection.

Esmeray is secretly a maniac when it come to alchemy. He often work together with Besnik to create questionable things. They even manage to create a lich they named reaper. They also experiment on their enemy that they capture. Cale let them be as long as they don't cross the line.

Noir strongest ability lies in his illusion. He can trap a whole kingdom in his illusion without them realize it.

Eruhaben x Olienne (Sunflower) Headcanons

Olienne acts like a child only in front of Eruhaben.Eruhaben likes it when Olienne acts spoiled.

Olienne enjoys being held by Eruhaben. It makes him feel more relaxed, he says.

Eruhaben likes leaving hickeys. Even though Olienne doesn't like them.

Eruhaben likes going with Olienne into human towns to buy the groceries even though they could just warp it home.

Olienne gives Eruhaben kisses on the cheek whenever he sees him or wants to show affection. Eruhaben loves this.

They both braid each other’s hair, or simply try different hairstyles on each other.

Olienne’s clothes and appearance are all inspired from Eruhaben’s elf form.

Whenever Eruhaben travels to the Eastern Continent, even if he’s terribly busy, he never forgets to stop over at Olienne’s place at least once.

They like bathing together, and wash each other’s hair since both of their hair is on the long side, Olienne’s being shorter.

They meet at least thrice in 50 years. And their stays last at least a year or two.

Olienne always writes cheesy love letters to Eruhaben whenever he wants to inform him of his visit.

Olienne’s favorite color is pale yellow, and Eruhaben’s favorite color is olive.

 Eruhaben and Olienne brew and own wine collections. They both are wine connoisseurs and both compare the tastes by drinking each other and giving reviews.

Whenever they sleep Eruhaben uses a separate blanket since he knows that Olienne takes the entire blanket in his sleep.

Olienne gets panic attacks in the middle of the night when he thinks about Eruhaben dying. This is the only time he hugs Eruhaben and digs his head in his partner’s arms.

Eruhaben has never shown Olienne any of his weaknesses since he fears that Olienne would no longer rely on him if he did. Olienne however, notices all of Eruhaben’s thoughts and never allows Eruhaben to feel powerless.

When they eat, they take turns on who’s cooking. Sometimes they even warp each other warm food so that they have a little company, since dragons are beings known to be lonely.

Olienne helps Eruhaben take care of the dragons going through their first growth phase, and always makes sure to take some time out and visit Eruhaben during that time.

Whenever either one of them is sick, the other always brings the same chicken soup for the other. 

Olienne confessed by giving Eruhaben a Gloxinia flower (love at first sight) and Eruhaben answered by giving Olienne an Ambrosia flower(mutual love). Now whenever Olienne sees Eruhaben he always gives him an Ambrosia flower, which leaves  Eruhaben flustered.

Eruhaben has a single olive ornament amongst the hordes of gold in his lair. Similarly, Olienne has a single completely gold ornament that he cherishes.

When he was still young, Eruhaben learnt the entire flower language just to impress Olienne.

They mostly prefer staying at each other’s caves instead of going anywhere else, since they want to enjoy the limited time they have with each other.

Once, I had a dream where Og!Cale had been travelling back and forth between Rain City and Little Garden. Then he had to stay on his natal world for a few years, no world hopping for a while, only to come back at Azi Dahaka trying to squash his Kuro-noona's new friend.

He was pissed off.

Just to be clear, he didn't come back alone at that time. His previous travels had been just him teleporting from his room to Little Garden, and then back again, without anyone noticing. This one, however, was not his doing. Mostly.

It's just that he got bored easily and Little Garden's games were fun. It's just that he has always been good at riddles, so beginning with games based on intelligence and deduction skills was the logic thing to do. It was that he got luck and won useful gifts. And it was that winning other kind of games becomes easier the more gifts you have. And, maybe, it was that he didn't realize exactly how well-known was himself between the people there.

Okay, so maybe not having to act the same trash role as always has taken quite a big weight of his shoulders. He felt so free that he forgot to pay attention to his reputation. Running here and there, doing whatever he wants.

(Now that was a luxury he would never indulge in his homeland. Cale could buy almost anything in Rain City, but being himself was not one of them. That was the choice he made, because the price would had been too high.)

Then, one of the residents of Little Garden had heard about him and decided to challenge him. Cale had been at the Henituse County at that time, pondering the pros and cons of healing himself. The child and the foreign god had surprised him a bit, but it was a pleasant surprise. It has been a while since he had been challenged by a kid like this.

The god, some guy that got dragged as the responsible adult— a plant-based deity, if he had to guess—, is designated as the impartial third part. They're not in Little Garden right now, so an extra pair of eyes to act as a judge is necessary. And he won't lie. "Even if I wanted, I wouldn't be able to, since I'm currently under punishment from a previous game", is what he says.

The kid— a redhead with reptilian pupils (was she a dragon?)— also offers a nice deal. Most likely because she doesn't owns a Host Master Authority, she prepared a tempting price for him: salvation from an uncoming danger.

The [salvation] she means is, in simple terms, a massive transmigration to Little Garden. Of course, it doesn't apply just to him, but to anyone of his world according Cale's conditions. (If his conditions include almost everyone who isn't responsible of the threat, and maybe some more that are, that's between him and his guests). Is not Cale's ideal method to keep his family safe, but is the avaible one. Which is good enough for him.

The punishment for Cale if he loses would be just his strongest gift. A bargain, if he says so.

Sure, he likes that gift, is one of his favorites, even. But its worth is not remotely close to his family's lives. Besides, she's not asking his whole deck of cards. 'She would have to wait too much to play with him again if he did so', is what the kid said.

Naturally, Cale accepted.

He also won, but because they were too into the game, they ended up landing on the capital. Inside giant bubbles and with blindfolds covering their eyes. And just in the middle of the Plaza. He's going to have to explain a thing or two to his family, isn't him?

It was good then, that Little Garden wasn't ruled by a noble society.— Noble what? We have demon lords and host masters. Even deities don't get a pass.— Because there's no way his trash persona survives the inquire.

Anyway, the kid kept her word and fulfilled her part of the deal right there. In a matter of seconds, the stone floor under them became grass and their surround changed.

"Space control, my element", she cleared out. Definitely a dragon, then. And one of his world, it seems.

She looked so proud that Cale didn't have the heart to tell her she has just let out two big hints about herself. She's still young, isn't her?

But it was an impressive power. The thousands of people (and maybe even more) hadn't have time to panic before being teleported to a completely different world. Although it seemed like there were some people already grasping into the situation.

However, before they could start asking questions, a little black blurr flew right into the red haired girl.

"Noona! That old white lizard is back! The Rabbit-noona and her friends are fighting him!"

...What.

"Kuro-noona!"

The red dragon stayed still, blinking at the space where his new friend had been just a moment ago.

"Wow, Noona, that red human is really fast!"

Yes, he is. After all, a great dragon like her had almost not being able to see him leave.

Bonus

Bassen, after he met with most of his family: Where is hyung-nim?

Violan: I think I saw him over the front.

Lily: *sees a bright red blurr* He left!

Deruth: What?!

Lily, wide eyed: *raises her voice* That he left!

Bassen, still looking right and left for him: when?

Lily: Just now! He was like "fwoshh". Like a lightning :D

Izayoi: *about to be impaled by a bastard*

Cale, falling from the sky in pure rage: —your ugly-ass paws away from my friends, scaly-branded cerberus, discount hydra fucker!

So, a few things more about this dream/AU:

•Cale's deck of cards is like it sounds: a deck of [gift] cards. Bro seriously did not intended to collect so many, but he was having fun.

•If you're wondering why or how can Cale travel to Little Garden and back to home, I think it was a present a sort of big deity gave to him. I have this vague memory of twelve-ish year old Cale sitting on a bed in a milky way-looking room, a giant pink lady standing besides him. She was really cheerful.

•When he is in Little Garden, he spends a lot of time at the No Name community. So much to the point he has his own room there. The only reason he hasn't joined the community is because he still wasn't a full-time resident of that world, an therefore he has some restrictions.

•Due to those restrictions, he can't use all his acquired gifts back outside what counts like Little Garden's world. Most of them get blocked or restrained when he goes back home. The ones who doesn't are the one who lets him jump between worlds, a healing gift and one that basically works like a library. The reason of this is to avoid a big disbalance in his and other worlds.

•Before this, Cale had been on a break from world hopping. He wanted to get officially out of the heir position before going back. With his 18 birthday coming soon, he had to do it soon before someone realizes that he's tecnically still the heir. (Then Choi Han happened). He hasn't seen his friends for almost a year.

•He usually gets into games/fights alone, but he's strong point are group fights where he can help them and use the battlefield like his own scenery.

•He had a gift even since before putting a step into Little Garden, but he wasn't aware. Is not something useful for most games, specially not friendly ones. Deathly fights, however... Let's say he can touch souls, and pulling one out of its body, hence separating them, is not something you can survive. He either fails and his enemy lives, or he succeeds and his enemy dies. He only has used it to pull a soul all the way once before, and it was a possession. The owner of the body was already dead by then, sadly.

•One of his gifts can be used like a warrior legion. It looks like ghostly samurais: glowing, translucid japanese warriors with an ominous aura. He got it from a war deity. (In my dream, he used it to fight Azi Dahaka)

•The gift he used to get to Izayoi and Kuro Usagi so fast was actually an object. A magic hooverboard, basically. Though he is fast, just thought saving energy would be better.

•He and Jack-o-lantern are close buddies. They met when he was thirteen, still so young and naive, travelling around Little Garden for the best sweets. Jack managed to trick him and then teased him about it (not to be mean, he was just to easy to annoy and his face went red really fast, looking like a red panda). In reprisal, Cale kept showing up near him, eating pumpkin desserts for a whole month. Somehow, they grew found of each other in a uncle-nephew relationship. Cale calls him uncle Jack.

•After the fight with Azi Dahaka, Jin presented Cale to the newest members. He and Asuka have a weird rich-kids conversation that no one else understands where they only spoke one or two words per turn (they were comparing life experiences).

•Yo, in all of her cat learned manners, measured him, determined he was not going to harm them, and blinked twice to show approval. For everyone else it looked like she stared at him for a long minute before blinking again. For some reason, Cale feels like Hans would be found of her.

•Izayoi and him get along like a house on fire. Izayoi likes to cause chaos and Cale likes to watch the chaos. Instant friendship. Although Asuka is absolutely sure that Izayoi has a puppy crush on Cale. (Idk if he has, dream asuka was always like "I know what you're" to Izayoi. Most likely not going to happen tho. Cale sees anyone younger than him like "little sibling aged")

•Cale finally joins No Name and some people of his previous world decides to follow as well.

•Lily and Lily bounding.

•Not really important but quite funny: in my dream, because Cale kept running here and there, kicking ass and being a decent person, but forgetting to properly introduce himself, he got an embarrasing nickname. "The Crimson Knight", they say. Cale was so ashamed when he found out. It took years for him to get used to it. Lily was thrilled once she heard about it.

Archie got rid of that silly smile and looked toward Cale.

Cale pointed to the Dragon half-blood.

“Mm.”

Archie gulped while looking at the Dragon half-blood.

He could see a human with a pale face. He could not feel any strength other than that of a normal adult human.

‘…I guess the traces of a Dragon haven’t disappeared though.’

There were still traces of a Dragon left on the Dragon half-blood.

Archie could see parts of the Dragon half-blood’s body because he was still wearing the same thing that he had worn while they were fighting.

Archie looked at the upper left portion of the body, the spot where his heart should be.

There was still a Dragon’s scale left on the heart.

Although the powers of a Dragon were gone, the traces of a Dragon on the human heart, that attribute, was still there.

Archie could hear Cale’s voice as he continued to look at the Dragon half-blood.

“Put him in an empty room. Don’t forget to tie him up.”

Cale looked at the rag-like robes and the Dragon half-blood’s messed up and bloodied body underneath.

It was a human’s weak body.

He headed out of the training ground and walked past Archie. He said one last thing as he passed by.

“Make him look more like a person.”

The ancient Dragon Eruhaben let out a sigh-like laughter. It was Cale’s way of confirming that the Dragon half-blood was fully human now.

‘More like a person.’

Although it was the same thing, using the word person made it seem more affectionate than saying human. Eruhaben felt an unexplainable emotion.

The traces of the Dragons that the Dragon half-blood had eaten were gone other than the small amount still left on his heart.

The only thing left were the traces of the Eastern continent’s ancient Dragon, Olienne, who was eaten by the fake Dragon Slayer.

Archie’s voice echoed inside the training ground at that moment.

“…Uh, mm, young master-nim, I am a Whale Beast person, so I know how to make him like a Beast person, but not like a person.”

“Haaaa.”

Archie heard Cale’s sigh and responded in reflex.

“Ah! I remembered! Now I know! I will make sure he is completely like a person!”

Archie could not understand why his mouth was saying the things it was saying right now. However, Cale was not interested in the chaos inside Archie’s mind.

Olienne could've been Greenie Gramps

“It ended up being delayed for this guy because he died in his lair. He was in a really good area, so his rotting speed was slowed. That is why he looks like this right now.”

Cale could not say anything. He could tell why Eruhaben had been angry.

A portion of the dead Dragon’s body was dug into with the heart at the center.

It was fitting to say that someone had eaten him, well, someone had taken a few bites out of him, as the heart and the surrounding flesh were gone.

“Olienne was a Green Dragon. He was a complete asshole who always talked back to you, but he was still a decent guy, just like the little kid.”

Eruhaben did not share any more of his past memories as he started to walk.

I know that I was not the only one who was excited for them to have another dragon tag along to their group. Raon could have had another gramps which he would have named 'GREENIE GRAMPS!' I just sometimes think about this and my heart still aches for this character that was killed without giving it a chance in the story.

I mean who wouldn't want more Tsundere Dragons in TCF?
