'Old Town Little Italy' is what I've named this lot in my save file, literally no words I just love it so much. #obsessed! I know I often say I'm obsessed but with this one I reallyyy am!
It looks so good anytime of the day too thanks to @softerhaze lighting mod!! I use Sunblind in Oasis Springs.
This is on a lot I can't remember but it's a big one. It has a restaurant, chapel, cafe, ice cream shop, market, souvenir store, photography studio. It's an official vacation spot for my sims. There's so many screenshots but I couldn't post them all.
Heavily inspired by the Old Towns you find in almost every European country, specifically Southern Italy with the small streets, bricks, vines and cramped buildings.
Unfortunately not up for download but we can admire from afar!

"Alphabet mafia" was funny (courtesy of @birthclod) so here are my alphabet mafia + nationality headcanons for Town of Salem's best faction (sorry to the roles without skins </3)
#some elaboration in the tags if you care to read#town of salem#i'm lactose intolerant#my art#tos#assume they live in italy unless otherwise stated#consig being canonically trans by accident is insane to me. she's so fucking funny. also yes she is german-irish because of tom hagen <3#i hc the itor surname as a shortening of heitor. and that it's the forger's (her last name is NOT direction) and yuan is her bio child#this is weirdly elaborate. he's her bio kid and she raised him but also he was a test tube baby and was born via surrogacy#mafio + consig are very close friends and treat each other like siblings#they met as little kids while gf was in her city on business and mafio was a quiet kid so gf was happy that mafio had made a friend#flash forward to gf regularly going out of his way to fly a 7-year-old + family across international borders for playdates with his kid#forger & consort are like 20 years apart in age but consort looks younger than she is and forger looks older than she is#consort is ~35 and looks ~25 and forger is ~55 and looks ~70. it's rough out there for an early retinol user and a stress ager.#gf and hypno are oldest at late 60s-early 70s and jani is youngest at around 22-25#also very important that all of them have little roses somewhere. consig's is on her belt + jani's is on a little bracelet#forger's is hard to see bc very small (it's her necklace). hypno with a little rose badge holder clip was my best idea ngl#and fine. i will address the elephant in the room. disguiser. there we go i mentioned them.#'why do they have a single parent. who is it.' i swear if you can put 2 and 2 together it's really funny...

LALA!
warning: none
summary: The one where Lando Norris lies to a girl he just met who happens to then turn into his friend or something else..
NOT PROOFREAD!! My first language isn't English so sorry if there's any mistake.
Tumblr media
Italy, 2022
"What do you mean if I'm sure? Of course I'm sure, Max. I've already decided" said a furious man while he was on the phone with his best friend "I think it will be the best thing to do to regain my sanity"
The brown-haired boy was more than fed up with being involved in senseless dramas, so he planned what was his best idea, traveling to a small town where he could live a vacation away from all the false and senseless rumors.
"If you think it's the best thing, I support you" Fewtrell finished saying, surrendered to the explosive character of his best friend "Just don't forget that you will have to return for the race in Belgium" And without anything else to say, the call ended.
Putting the phone in the back of his jeans, the brunette headed towards what seemed to be the house he had rented in a moment of desperation.
Upon arriving, reality finally hit him. What had he done? He should have been training, but he was once again avoiding his problems.
But there was no turning back, or at least that was what it seemed.
"Buongiorno" a small voice seemed to have taken him out of his thoughts, making Lando turn around in search of that voice.
"Elio! Non parlare con gli sconosciuti" a woman appeared behind a small child who didn't seem to be older than five years old. "Excuse me" The blonde seemed to have realized that he wasn't from around here
"No problem, he's a very cute little boy. What's his name?" The brown-haired boy greeted the little blonde boy who was now behind his mother? Sister? relative, hiding while being a bit shy.
"His name is Elio" She introduced the little kid "Are you new around here? I don't think I've seen you before" the stranger added, seeming disconcerted by his presence.
"I just came for vacation, you know, looking for some peace and quiet" To which the girl laughed softly
"Well, I think you're in the right place for that. If it's not too much of an intrusion, what do you do?"
"I..." the brown-haired boy hesitated. Why would I have to share the complete information with a stranger, right? "I'm an engineer, I work with cars and everything that is mechanics"
"Well, I guess we'll see you around here..."
"Max, my name is Max" he didn't know why but he was starting to regret on lying.
"Nice name, mine is Y/n, well, it was interesting meeting you, Max" And with that, the blonde continued on her way, walking hand in hand with little Elio, who gave her one last curious look before following the girl.
And that's how the boy stood there, in the middle of the boulevard, thinking about the interaction he had just had with the rather attractive girl.
As he set off again towards the place where he would be staying, he couldn't help but think about the crazy situation that he had created
But those thoughts lasted very little when he saw the incredible view he had from his room. Was all of Italy that resplendent?
The view of the sea was easily one of the most incredible he had ever had and the peaceful atmosphere provided him with the peace he was looking for.
From afar, he couldn't help but notice the blonde he had just been talking to. Although now, Y/n was sitting on the seashore, along with Elio, the boy who now seemed to be enjoying the water and the warm day.
Without really knowing why, Norris decided to leave the villa, thus approaching the place where the duo was.
"Sorry, I know I just met you, but I really wanted some company" said the brown-haired boy, looking quite embarrassed to see how his arrival had caught the attention of the younger and the blonde.
"Sure, don't worry. Elio, do you want to say hello to Max?" the boy, after hearing those words, turned to look at the young woman
"Mom, didn't you say not to talk to strangers?" the boy said with a mischievous smile while the girl laughed
"I know what I said, honey, but Max didn't want to be alone, why don't you try to talk to him?" the mother replied, giving him a smile
Lando Norris couldn't hide his surprise, how is it that that young woman was already a mother?
"Max, do you like building sand castles?" asked little Elio, still a little shy and even scared.
The brown-haired boy, now showing a big smile, nodded, seeing how the child's face lit up with his answer.
Lando Norris still had no idea what would happen that summer, and he also didn't know what that white lie would cost him.

A Body Stealer Tale: A Capture To Remember
Tumblr media
When I arrived in Italy, I found out my camera was broken from the travel. Frustrated, I wandered through Italy until I found a small, dusty shop tucked between old buildings. Inside, an elderly shopkeeper offered me an old camera model, calling it "special." I was desperate, so I bought it, not realizing just how “special” this camera would actually be.
I’d only been in Italy for a day when I spotted him—an absolute Adonis. I was just wandering through the cobbled streets of the old town, camera in hand, getting lost in the architecture and the vibes, taking photos of every old building I saw. Suddenly, there he was: this hot Italian guy walking alone past me. I couldn’t resist. I knew it was a little risky, but I raised my new camera to grab a quick shot of him without him noticing.
I mean, I would never see him again after that, so I should as well capture the moment to remember.
But then, the moment I pressed the shutter, there was a flash of bright light. It wasn’t from my camera. It was like a white ball of light bursting out from the man's back and zipping straight into my camera, vanishing without a trace.
And before I could even gasp, his whole body crumpled like a pile of clothes, totally hollowed out. I blinked, trying to make sense of what I was seeing. I mean, there was this whole empty Italian guy lying there on the street—skin, hair, face, everything—but no bones, no organs, nothing inside. Just a bodysuit.
I just stood there, completely dumbfounded, staring at the bodysuit that had been a whole man only seconds before. Luckily, there was no one on the street but me, which honestly was a miracle. My heart was racing, but curiosity got the better of me. I glanced around, making sure I was alone, and slowly crouched down, reaching out to touch the hollowed man's face. It was surreal, it felt smooth, soft, and very real, I mean... it was real. As I caressed his stubble beard and admired his slack empty face, I noticed an opening on his nape. Curious, I pulled his sagging head by the hair and noticed a small opening on his back, it was the exact place where the ball of light had come out of him.
An idea popped into my head—completely insane, but somehow, I knew I had to do it. Before I could second-guess myself, I slipped off my shoes and started undressing right there on the sidewalk. Yeah, risky, but I wasn’t gonna let this opportunity slip away.
One leg at a time, I stepped into the suit's open hole, pulling his muscular calves and thighs over my own legs. The fabric—no, the *skin*—wrapped around me like a second layer. I could feel his muscles molding to my shape as I slid my arms into his and finally tugged his handsome face over mine like a mask.
Then… something amazing happened. I could feel the strength of his body taking over, the weight of his muscles filling me up, the opening in his back closing, and even his face settling into place over mine. I wasn’t just wearing him—I *was* him.
I glanced down and saw those fit pecs, those ripped abs, and a big flaccid cock that now belonged to me. The guy was very hung, I thought.
I couldn't help but give my new cock a few strokes. I chuckled at the thought of someone walking and seeing this stud jerking off naked on the street.
But I wasn't in the mood to spend my new hot body in an Italian jail, so I grabbed the man's jeans from the ground and pulled them back up. His wallet fell out of his pocket, so I grabbed it and looked for his ID.
"Luca Moretti, 23 years old," It said.
Well, I guess that's my new name for now, I thought as I put a shirt on.
I grabbed the camera from the ground and looked at the lens, my eyes squinted as I tried to look inside for any sign of life, "Hello? Do you hear me?" I waited for a response and chuckled at how ridiculous I looked talking to a camera. I was about to put it inside my backpack when I heard a distant voice in my head. It was a male voice, and it was screaming in Italian.
"Che cazzo sta succedendo? Non sento più nulla… posso solo vedere attraverso questa maledetta lente! Ma cosa mi è successo? Sono intrappolato qui dentro? Non può essere vero… Aiuto! Qualcuno mi tiri fuori da qui, vi prego!"
I couldn't understand what he was saying—I don't speak Italian! I gazed into the lens, letting a look of gentle compassion soften my new features.
"I'm sorry man, I can't understand what you're saying. But it looks like that's your new home now. Your body is mine and It's going to be so fun being you, I hope you don't have a girlfriend because I'm really going to put this ass to use. But don't worry though, I will make sure you get some company soon."
I put the camera inside my backpack and casually walked away as if I’d always been him. I’d never felt this confident in my life, and proof of that was the huge bulge I proudly displayed in my jeans. This is going to be one unforgettable trip.
Next time, I won't be taking photos of old buildings, but of hot men whose bodies I want to capture.

🐾 Theo often found himself staring at you and then blushing for the first time in his life when you caught him with a teasing little smirk on your face
🐾 when their parents talked about business, they often send Theo and y/n outside to "take a walk". But secretly they didn‘t want them to hear anything about the dark lord and also tried to couple them up

🐾 to his luck it was dark and without any lights around them but the moon so it was hard to see his boner he tried to hide and thinking of something like Professor Snape to get it gone
🐾 she smirked to herself because of course she would notice how stiff he suddenly became around her, trying to keep some space between theor swimming bodys.
🐾 while Theo tried to not look at her cleavage or thighs when you floated at the surface, her mind was at ease and even tho she never told him but it was because of him. He always brought such an peaceful aura to her that no matter how mad she was about a previous fight with her parents, as soon as she laid her eyes on him, her anger was gone
🐾 but at the same time she loved teasing him and stirring up his control a little by brushing past him and whispering innocent things into his ear but not without her lip brushing against his ear.
🐾 she swam towards him and around him, playing with his mind a little. The nearer she came the harder his heart pounded inside his chest, forgetting everything else around him.
🐾 she let her manicured nails slowly gaze over his shoulders and neck, lightly pulling at the hair at the back until a low groan left his lips and a huge redness spilled over his cheeks.
🐾 oh how many nights there were when he had his fist around his hard on after you teasingly brushed against him in your tight little tiger printed dress.
🐾 at his last year in hogwarts, he was thrilled to graduate and move back to italy where your parents moved back to after living in America.
🐾 when the day finally came he already missed his friends and the walls of his second home but his mind couldn‘t stop thinking about all of the opportunities he had now especially with you in the same town.

A massive snow storm delays Charles’ flight home for the holidays and you both begin to give up hope but a Christmas miracle occurs.
Christmas was a bit of a mess this year.
December 24th and Charles Leclerc was stranded in Italy with Andrea and Joris. Charles had gone because he had a Christmas event to do with Ferrari, Joris and Andrea had accompanied him but they decided to go up north and go skiing for the remainder of the week.
They hadn't planned to push it so close to Christmas and then the snow came down; the stupid snow which blocked the roads and left them stranded in the mountains of Italy.
You were a bit disappointed when your boyfriend called to tell you that he wouldn't be able to make it home in time for Christmas. You asked him if there was anything you could do and he told you because of the snow, he wasn't exactly sure when he'd get home.
Charles could hear the disappointment in your voice, and it made him sad to know that he wasn't gonna be able to be home in time to spend Christmas with you.
It was as if Andrea could read Charles' mind; "what?"
"We have to get out of here, we need to go home."
"I know," Andrea tells him, Joris looks up from his laptop, "everything is closed, the roads, the airport, like.. we're stuck."
Charles was nothing if not determined. He made it his mission to make it home in time to spend Christmas with you - bit of a tight task considering it was 10pm on Christmas eve. Nonetheless, he and the boys rallied up - not like Joris or Andrea had a choice - and followed Charles out of the ski resort.
They made it about 2 miles down the road trudging through the snow before they finally came across a ski ranger, the man on his way down the mountain to pick up something they needed on the resort. He was kind enough to let them get in, the 3 of them squished into the back seat as the ranger drove them down. Due to the snow, it took them triple the time to go down than it took to go up but it was progress nonetheless.
Once they made it to the town, they were at crossroads again. How are they going to make it to the airport?
It was a one step at the time sort of plan, if they thought too far ahead, they'd just give up.
Joris wanders into the one place that was still open, a little bakery that was run by the older couple that lived there and they had a grandson who lived not too far off from the airport. The roads were cleared down there but they had no car.
The couple happened to be closing up for the night and on the way to their grandson's, the older woman took a liking to Joris, holding his arm as he led her over to their car.
"Charles!" Joris shouts, waving his friend over. Andrea and Charles wandering over. "Yeah?"
"This is Maria, she and her husband are on their way to grandson's, who lives like-" "He lives five minutes from the airport, let us take you."
"Are you sure?" Charles asks her, as much as he wants to get home, he wouldn't want to put a sweet old woman out of her way.
The woman pinches Charles's cheek, "yes please, I cannot leave you out in the cold. Come, come." She tells him, Andrea helps the older gentleman put all the luggage into the trunk, the 5 of them getting into the car - Charles, Joris and Andrea squished into the backseat again.
The older gentleman, Joe, was just as sweet and welcoming as his wife. They told them stories from when they moved there, how they opened their bakery and their family. As much as Charles appreciated their kind gesture, he was wondering if maybe he should have offered to drive them to the airport.
At some point, an excruciatingly long 3 hour drive - Joe drove slower than most, they made it to the airport.
Maria rolls the window down, saying goodbye to Joris. The photographer holds her hand as she calls for Charles. "Make sure you come back! And bring your girlfriend."
"We will, thank you both so much. I don't know what I can do to repay you."
"Take us to the race next year," Joe calls from next to his wife. Charles laughs, "sounds good, I'll come back and bring your passes."
The 3 of them run into the airport, the boards in front of them display only one word listed to all of the flights - canceled.
Big, bold, red letters crush Charles's heart and his chances of getting home.
Joris pats his friend's shoulder, Andrea already one step ahead of them trying to see if they were anything they could get on to make it home in time - after all, he wanted to get home to his family too.
It's an hour of Andrea bickering with the very tired and annoyed woman behind the counter before Charles joins him, asking her if there was anything they could get on to go home.
The flight to France was 2 hours, he'd manage anything at this point.
"There's one flight, a small passenger plane. I'd have to ask the pilot first."
"Please," Charles says, "I'll pay extra if I need to."
After what felt like another hour the woman finds them and tells them to follow her; she checks them in, getting their passes to them before directing them to where they'd meet the pilot for their flight.
When she said it was a small plane, Charles was expecting small but not this small.
The plane looked like those water planes you'd take from the mainland to an island - it didn't hold more than 6 people.
Charles is just clinging to his seat, counting down the minutes until he can get off that plane. He feels his ears pop, the thud as the plane meets the runway in Nice and he's thanking every god out there for that. They thank the pilot, trying to figure out if they should take the train or just drive home.
None of them have a car at the airport and thank god, it wasn't snowing.
It was Christmas morning, the airport was a madhouse and Charles didn't typically do this but he did use his F1 status to get them a rental, he signed a few autographs for the staff behind the counter and they were off again.
The sun is peeking over the Monaco pier, Andrea drove them home because Charles was too antsy to drive. They dropped him off first.
"Thank you guys, really." He says, standing on the curb with his suitcase.
"We didn't have a choice," Joris tells him jokingly, Andrea nods. "Tell y/n we said Merry Christmas."
"I will," Charles smiles, wishing his friends well before waving them off.
It was good to be home; the man made his way up to your shared apartment, the lights off as you were still sleeping - your soft snores filling his ears as he quietly made his way to the bedroom.
You're tucked away under the covers, the blanket wrapped you up and kept you warm during a lack of Charles in bed. He knew you were a deep sleeper, the fact that he had accidentally slammed the door and it hadn't woken you was sign enough.
He stripped out of his clothes, making his way to the bathroom to brush his teeth. At some point he thought he heard you shift, he peeked out the door way to find you still sleeping.
Charles joined you in bed shortly after, his arm snaking around your waist, the coldness from the bracelet he had on startled you. Your body responded before you could, taking a second to gather your thoughts - the fight or flight kicking in.
He presses a kiss to the back of your shoulder, the smell of his cologne and toothpaste filled your surroundings. "Charles, you're home," you whispered, turning to face the man.
You couldn't fully believe it, not after his call last night, telling you that he wouldn't be making it home.
Your boyfriend smiles, kissing your forehead. "I'm here."
"How?" You mumbled, moving closer to him. Charles's hand presses to your back, rubbing the bare skin softly. "It's a long story, for another time."
You hum, not really caring for the story at the moment. All that matters is that Charles was home and he was home for Christmas. You opened your eyes slightly, peeking at your boyfriend. Both of you wore the same sleepy look - you having just woken up and Charles after a long night of traveling.
You kissed his chin, the man hummed in response. You follow the structure of his face, moving from his chin to his jaw and up to his sideburns, down his cheeks and finally to his lips. Charles pulls you flush against him, his lips holding your hostage.
It had been a long week apart and you both missed each other terribly. Andrea often says you two are like high school kids, all young and in love.
Your arms wrap over his shoulders, pulling the man on top of you. Charles settled himself between your hips. Your boyfriend pulls away from your lips, much to your dismay and finds himself moving down to your neck, along your collarbones and to your chest. Now propped up on your elbows, you watch as your boyfriend's head dips, his teeth softly grazing your stomach on his way to between your legs.
Charles glances up at you and pulls your panties to the side. He was close enough that you could feel his breath on you, your head dropping back when his tongue finally met you.
You look down at your boyfriend between your legs; the man smiling up at you as his arms hook your thighs to pull down flat on his face.
Your hips buck when you feel his tongue against your clit, your hand gripping on his hair. Charles’s hand on your hip rocks you back and forth slightly, just enough that he can hear his name fall from your lips.
Your hand rests on his cheek, “I can't believe you're home.” Your eyes meet his blue ones.
“I'm right here, baby.”
You pull him back down for another kiss. Charles’ hand slips between the two of you, thumb pressed to your clit. Your back arches from the sudden touch, moaning against his lips.
Charles smiles, his heart fluttering every time knowing he’s the one that reduces you to nothing more than a whimpering mess.
“Please,” you pull on his hair, “Charles.”
“What?” He asks, rubbing circles with his thumb.
You can’t help the whimper slipping past your lips. “Fuck me, please.” You ask sweetly and how could he ever say no to you?
Charles finds himself moving to hitch your leg on his hip, lining himself up with you before pushing into you. Your back arches and he gives you a second to adjust to him before moving. You’re biting your lip so hard, you probably drew blood.
Your hand drags down his torso, pressed against his toned stomach when you speak. “You feel so good,” you whisper, knowing you can’t speak any louder.
“Yeah?” He calls, hand slipping between the two of you.
Your red nails, painted for the holidays, digging into his skin, leaving matching red marks matching the colour of your nails against his pale skin. “Fuck- please yes.”
Charles doesn’t quit; his fingers rubbing on your clit, the other hand moving your leg from his hip to rest over his shoulder. Just when his ego couldn’t get any bigger, it did. The 16 hanging off the silver chain around your neck, sitting flat against your sternum.
He can’t help but lean down and press a kiss to it, in the process pushing your leg back. The sound that left your mouth was nothing if not music to his ears.
The sudden ego boost, Charles takes his chance to ask you. “Who makes you feel this good, amour?”
You’re trying to answer him but between keeping the same position and his excruciating pace, you couldn't bring yourself to answer him.
Charles asks again. “Who makes you feel this good, amour ?”
A strangled answer slips past your swollen lips; “You, only you Charles.”
The answer satisfies his ego, his focus is making you cum. His hips hitting the back of your thighs, your boyfriend has now moved your other leg over his shoulders.
“Charles-” you call, your eyes meeting his. He can feel the way you’re clenching around him, his hand moving back to your clit.
“I know,” he hums, “me too.”
A few more sloppy thrusts and both of you fall over the edge, one after the other. Charles kisses by your ankle before letting your legs down, settling against you between your legs still.
Passing a hand through his hair, you smile at your boyfriend; his eyes all droopy and a sleepy smile on his face.
"You're here," you whispered, he nodded and his stubble scratched against your bare skin. "I'm here."
You hum quietly, the sun shining through the curtains in the room, the two of you cuddled up in each other's arms.
"Shall we open gifts?" Charles asks and you shake your head, "they're not going anywhere, let's stay in bed for a bit longer."
He smiles, pressing a kiss to your soft skin. "I like that idea."

young and beautiful
preface.
pairing: natasha romanofff x reader.
cw: age gap, smut, forbidden love.
masterlist. chapter one.
Tumblr media
When you were a kid, you spent your summers in your grandmother’s house, a big italian house that belonged to your family for more years than you could count, in a small, beautiful town on the southern of Florenca, Italy. Your mother used to send you there to not have to take care of you on summer, and you used to hate it for obvious reasons. The town was dying beautiful but for an eight years old with no friends, watching novels with nonna in a place full with buildings of middle age wasn’t the most exciting thing.
That was until you met Wanda, on a special hot afternoon reading by the lake. She was looking for a football ball that her younger brother lost and it’s truly incredible how quickly kids can make new friends.
Wanda had a big accent but you understood her english and also learned italian with your grandma, she had big green eyes and a shy smile, Pietro, her two year younger brother, was energetic and playful, and by one hour later you were all friends.
Wanda’s father died just a few months before you met, and you always saw that as the reason why she was so shy, but that didn’t affected her little brother, who annoyed her just like every little sibling should. You remember to envy their relationship, not in a bad way, but they would never be lonely because they had each other, and you were so different.
They lived not even 15 minutes away from your grandma’s house and you started to spend all day on the lake, in their pool, playing games and biking together, soon you started to wait anxiously for the summer to come, instead of fighting with your mom to not left you there.
The years passed and you naturally became family with the Maximoff’s, your relationship only grew stronger as you grew older and Wanda became your best friend, even if you saw her much less than your friends from your country.
Your birthday used to come right after the vacation, and on the eighteen birthday you asked your mom to let you spend the day there, she didn’t seen to mind since your grades would not be affected by just one week off school, and you was almost an adult at the time.
You couldn’t be more excited for the summer this time, and you didn’t even know what was about to happen.
Natasha, Wanda’s aunt, was there too, she didn’t lived with them, but spent her vacations sometimes, to help her older sister with the kids and enjoy some time away from the usual chaos energy of New York. She always saw you there with her nephews, and always saw your shining eyes on her when you thought she wasn’t looking, trying to figure out what she did to you, why your hands shakes and sweats when she’s around, why you can’t act normal. She used to think that was cute, just a kid with a silly crush, until you wasn’t a kid anymore, until your pretty feminine features along with seductive self talks louder than your age gap, until she falls in love with you.

dangerous liaisons
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: he was sent to protect you, infiltrate your family as your personal bodyguard, but instead he plans on defiling you. pairing: mob!steve harrington/fem!reader warnings: SMUT (18+), innocent!reader, dom!steve, a lil bit of mean!steve, masturbation, religious talk, slight age gap. a/n: MOB!STEVE MOB!STEVE! Anyways these will purely just be smut fics involving Steve and you, maybe one day I’ll go more in depth with it but for now this’ll do :) also reader is 18 years old btw! and if you saw any mistakes no you didn't.
“Steve, what do you know about anatomy?”
Your legs swung lazily in the air, your white knee high socks still on your feet. You were laying on your bed, biology textbook open wide in front of you. You glanced up at the dark haired man sitting in the corner of your room, his arms crossed against his chest, looking incredibly bored.
You watch as a muscle in his jaw twitches, his eyes gazed off to elsewhere.
He heard you tsk, head shaking in disappointment, “Nothing? Ah, you’re no help Harrington”
Harrington. He wanted to laugh.
That wasn’t his real name. It was his fathers, the name his mother took to protect herself, protect her family.
Angelica Harrington, born Angelica Costello, was daughter of Frank Costello, the Don of the Costello family. Steve grew up surrounded by his Italian side of the family. Sunday dinners, catholic school, and a tight knit family who kept to themselves in Hawkins, Indiana.
Sure, Hawkins was ways away from New York where the majority of his family lived but he was sent here with a mission in hand, specifically set by his grandfather who he regarded in high respect. A frail old man now, whose sun spots and wrinkles covered most of his face. Steve would have never guessed that his favorite family member had blood on his hands, the infamous Costello family was known for quick hits and brutal tortures.
After his father passed away, his grandfather decided it was time to show Steve the business - much to his mothers' despair. She didn’t want her only son wrapped up in the business, but Frank knew his grandson had it in him. He was a Costello, it ran in his blood.
So one day, shortly after turning 21, he followed his grandfather into his study, a dark wooden room with bookshelves and family pictures littered across walls.
“Steven, do you know why we moved to Indiana, left everything behind?” He began, pacing the room as he gazed at the family photos.
Steve took a seat on the leather chair, his eyes following Frank’s move.
“No, grandfather”
Frank chuckled, shaking his head, “Well Steven, it’s time I introduced you to the family business”
Steve was then slowly introduced to that side of the family. Meeting Frank's 'associates', learning how to shoot a gun, learning about the underground drug trade that ran through Hawkins that Frank was certain his family was going to take it from the Messina Family.
That’s where you came in.
The Messina and Costello family had been feuding for over 50 years. A rivalry that began in Italy and continued into New York and had now spilled into Indiana.
A drug trade that was snatched from the Costello family. The Messina's' then fled New York, moving the entire family to a little town known as Hawkins, where no one knew them, of their crimes, and what they were capable of.
The Messina’s had one daughter, the pride and jewel of the family, the baby of the family. Your father was the Don of the Messina family, having taken over the business from his father. You grew up with a silver spoon in your mouth, never missing anything in your life.
And you were the key to bringing your family down.
The plan in itself was simple. The Messina’s would hire Steve as her bodyguard, Steve would infiltrate the family and take the business back. The plan seemed simple enough, Steve didn’t raise any eyebrows with the last name Harrington. He had an extensive resume created for him because the Messina’s only hired the best for their baby girl.
Then he met you, you all in your catholic school uniform, a tight white blouse with a checkered pattern pleated skirt. Knee high socks that made your legs look longer than what they are. You were coy, quiet, watching Steve through long fluttered eyelashes.
Steve was instantly attracted to you no doubt, but he wasn’t here to fuck around. He was here to get the job done and move to New York.
But the longer he stayed around you the more he couldn’t control himself - especially when you would act like a brat around him, which was most of the time.
Steve’s eyes shifted back to you on your king sized bed, you were starting to annoy him with the loud, incessant smacking of your gum.
“Could you chew any louder?” He snaps at you.
You look up from your textbook, eyebrows knitting together in annoyance. You slam your book close, eyes zeroed in on Steve. You didn’t say anything, you just stared at him and continued to chew loudly.
You watched as the vein in his temple throbbed, you loved getting under his skin, watching him get flustered under your teasing words.
“C’mon, quit it, you’re being annoying and I have a headache” he hisses.
You turn over on your back, throwing your books off your bed. “Aw poor baby” you mock, “Does the baby need someone to hold him?”
“Shut it”
“Make me”
He turns his head to give you a glare, you were hanging off of your bed, head dangling off on the edge, your vision all topsy-turvy. He shoots up from his chair, charging towards your bed. You watch him amusingly, until he yanks your leg towards him.
You make a yelping noise, surprised at how quick and how strong he is. He then crawls on your bed, hovering over you, one of his knees makes it in between your skirt.
You watch him with a grin as he forcefully grabs your chin to look at him. He looks pissed, annoyed, irritated, but you could care less. He inadvertently moved his knee a little too high up your skirt, hitting your sensitive area. You let out a soft moan by accident, the sensation sending tingles all over your body.
That moan didn’t go unnoticed by Steve.
One of his eyebrows shoots up, he pulls away from you, letting you come up on your elbows.
“What was that?” He questions.
You suddenly become bashful, tugging your skirt down, but Steve’s leg stayed right in place. You shrug, “I - I don’t know, your knee …” you trail off, avoiding his eyes.
A wicked grin starts to spread across his face, he notices as your demeanor quickly changes. He purposely tenses up his knee, nudging it against that sweet spot.
“S-Steve…” you breathe out heavily.
“What is it? What do you feel?” His voice is soft, quiet like.
“Y-your knee, when you …” you trail off, not sure how to word it. While you could be a brat, anything sexual was off the table for you. You were as pure as pure can be, catholic school drilled it in your head that any impure thoughts would send you straight to hell.
But at this moment, being sent to hell didn’t make any sense, especially when it felt that good.
“Do you like it? Does it feel good when my knee touches you there?”
He starts hovering back over you, like a cat stalking its prey, his mouth widens into a shit eating grin. He’s got you in the palm of his hands.
“N-no, it’s a sin, masturbation is a sin” you utter out.
Steve cackles, as if you had just said a joke. You suddenly feel small against his presence, he was so much bigger, stronger than you. His hand starts to slowly skim its way up your face, his thumb coming up to rub your cheek.
“Oh honey, you’ll come to learn in life that everything that feels good is a sin” he whispers against the shell of your ear. You swallow thickly, your heart feels like it’s about to beat out of your chest.
“Do you want me to do it again? Learn a little anatomy?”
Your eyes lock onto his, his pupils are blown, wide with excitement. You lean into his touch and utter a small “Yes”
“What a good girl, now open wide”
He shifts his thumb from your cheek down to your bottom lip where he slowly pries your mouth open, he rests his thumb on your pink tongue.
You're quaking in his arms, feeling your wetness pool around in your underwear. It’s a sensation you’ve never felt before, like a live wire was sent throughout your body. It’s intoxicating, it’s sinful. Steve readjusts himself, angling his knee to better hit your clit.
“Hnng, Steve … keep, keep, doing that” you moan out, arms splayed out on the bed. The top two buttons of your white uniform pop open as your back arches, displaying a red lacy bra underneath. Your gold cross necklace sits right in between your breast bone, catching the sun's reflection on it. Steve almost wants to laugh at the irony. The bone of his knee hits right on your clit, pressing on it gently.
He wants you to cum on him, he wants you to know how good it feels to be sinful.
“You like how that feels huh? Look at you, dirty girl rubbing your clit on my knee” his voice is richer, an octave deeper than what you usually hear. It sends goosebumps down your body. How easily you melt with just a nudge of his knee, but god you’ve never felt this good before.
Your wetness starts seeping out of your underwear, staining Steve’s pants but he doesn’t care, he just wants to destroy you.
“S-Steve, I - I feel weird, like, like, like …” you can’t finish your sentence as your brain becomes mush. Your chest is heaving heavily, he continues to rub your clit gently with his knee, going around in small circles.
He shoves his thumb back into your mouth, shutting you up. Your eyes roll at the back of your head, pleasure shocking you through your core. His pants have become unbearably tight, his thick member creating a tent in his pants. He grabs a hold of his cock through his jeans, trying to release some of the pressure.
He had finally found your weakness. Your innocence is your weakness, and Steve was going to break down those walls. He was going to absolutely defile you.
“You’re about to cum aren’t you? Yeah that’s right, you see my knee is hitting your clit. Those little bundle of nerves were made to make you cum. That’s the only thing it’s good for” he leans down and nips at your earlobe.
You moan loudly in response.
“Shhhh, you wouldn’t want daddy to interrupt our anatomy lesson now do you?” He softly scolds you.
You shake your head, eyes glossy and his thumb still in your mouth.
“Good, because I’m going to fucking ruin you”
His knee starts rubbing your clit faster, with more urgency. You’re an absolute mess underneath him, sweat sticking to your skin, hair a tangled mess. Your arms shoot up and grip his brown hair pulling him down to your chest
“Oh, you like that huh? I want you to cum, I want you to come all over my knee” he commands you.
All you can do is give him a nodding of your head because words cannot properly come out of your mouth. He continues to press against your clit and he sees that you’re close. Your heavy breathing turns into whimpers and you feel like you’re about to hit a tipping point. You’ve never experienced an orgasm before but if this is what it feels like, then you're aching for more.
Steve moves his thumb from your month and wraps his hand around your neck, squeezing gently.
And that’s all it took.
“Ohmygodohmygodohmygod … “ your back fully arches off the bed as you cum all his knee. You let out a loud moan, eyes tightly shut. You feel like you’ve reached heaven, like you’ve been injected with pleasure from the gods. Steve doesn't stop though, he continues to work you through your orgasm but once he sees how tears begin to prick at the corner of your eyes due to the overstimulation, he pulls his knee away.
He glances down at his pants, a large wet spot now stains his knee, and his pants are still (and unfortunately) uncomfortably tight. He lifts up your skirt, glancing down at your underwear where it's become wet with your cum. He swipes a finger over your throbbing clit, collecting the juices that spilled from you.
"I want you to taste yourself, see how sweet you taste"
You lazily lift yourself up, eyes still half lidded. Your whole world has been turned upside down and you've become addicted to the sensation. You're at the mercy of your bodyguard and you want him to make you feel good over and over again. You grab his hand and take his finger into your mouth, swirling your tongue around the wetness.
"Look at you cleaning my finger, such a fucking dirty girl. Tell me, how good to you taste?"
You take his finger out of your mouth with a loud pop,
"Like candy"

˚ ♡ ⋆。˚ ❀Wanting you, under the Italian sun
You and Timmy have most been working hard. For the summer, they decide an Italian getaway.
[a little something that's been sitting in my drafts while i work on some other things, i hope you enjoy. I'm thinking of taking some requests, cause i'm lacking inspiration so if that's something you'd like, let me know and maybe, you'll get lucky]
Tumblr media
The car dropped you off at your private villa for the weekend, the wheels rolling onto the stone.
You step out first while your beautiful boyfriend, timothee paid and took the bags from you. You both stare at the old but wonder ours villa which would be your home for the summer.
Timmy threw an arm around you shoulder, drawing you in and kissing your temple. It was an endearing move you revelled in. ‘Are you happy, amore mio?’ (My love)
You smile up at him. ‘Very.’
His lips Slide Over yours before leading you over to the door. You guys had already picked up the keys to the place by the owner. All summer, this would be your own private haven.
The two of you were hidden, surrounded by tall trees to shield you and it was at least a mile walk from the nearest town. You had a stocked kitchen, a pool for your own enjoyment and each other.
You and Timmy had only been dating six months, but it felt like the most blissful forever. Already you knew there was nothing more you could want, you had everything. But still, you both had been working hard over the last few months and knew to keep you both sane, you needed to escape.
You had been working hard on a movie you’re especially proud of with Emerald Fennell (the director of Saltburn). It was premiering at the end of the year and was a high talk of Oscar buzz, but it was taxing. And Timothee had been busy promoting dune two and preparing for Bob Dylan. The only time you’ve shared is surprising each other in different countries, stealing moments of hurried movements of bodies in hotel rooms and several hundred facetimes.
You'd both agreed to get away, knowing it could snowball into stress and terrible times. He was one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, a household name and everyone loved him. Meanwhile everyone was looking to you, a trend-setter, so what your next big move would be.
Italy, it would just be you.
˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀
You spent your first week sleeping in, bathing in the sunlight that came through the windows, left open for a cool breeze and curtains blowing gently. His hands would run over your bare skin, tracing marks his lips had made the night before. Then he'd roll on top of you and continue the evening.
His lips trail down your neck, biting and licking over a spot. 'Can't get enough of you.'
Then your mornings continue slowly. Sometimes you'd go for a walk around the countryside, or walk into the town and buy some flowers for the villa and Timothee would insist on buying you pretty things.
'A pretty girl deserves pretty things,' he always said.
So, when you brought a bouquet, you always spared a flower for him.
Most mornings, you'd be found in the pool while Timothee made breakfast, bringing it out for the two of you. You'd sit at the set table, next to each other, your legs stretched into his lap as he traced patterns on your skin. Or his head in your lap as you ran your fingers through his hair.
You guys talked, talked about anything. Your careers, your hopes and dreams for the future, together-obviously. You talked about books and poems and movies and family. It was so easy with him. And at the same time, everything was exciting.
Your bodies knew each other, and in the summer, with so much skin, you had many chances to explore each other, but you also explored each others minds, picking out anything you each wanted to know.
Timothee, on rare occasions, even on holiday, slept in. You spent your time admiring him, his lips parted with soft breaths and his curls fresh and soft. He was naked under the sheets but the white covers were pulled over his chest. He still had an arm draped over your stomach, but it was weak in sleep.
You slipped away easily, taking your books and making yourself coffee and heading to the poolside to relax in the morning glow.
Only half an hour slipped by before you boyfriend wandered out, in his trunks, still stretching out the sleep that held his body.
'Good morning, baby,' you greeted with a smile.
Timothee smiled down at you before urging you to shuffle to the end of your chair. He slipped behind you, legs on either side and arms wrapping around your waist. He kissed one the tattooed marks he left on you last night. That's what he loved about the villa, the two of you wearing barley anything. 'Morning, mon amour. How did you sleep?'
You lean your head back on his shoulder. 'Like a babe.'
He smirked, leaning down to kiss you. It was never quick with him, never swift. His lips were hard against yours, his tongue sweeping over your bottom lip to taste the coffee on your tongue.
You pulled back before you could lose your place in your book. But, you pulled your coffee cup from the ground and offered him some.
He took a sip and leant his head on you shoulder, reading over while his hands messaged your stomach and hips. 'Even on holiday you're working.'
'This isn't work, i'm reading.'
'About the architecture of Italy?'
'It's a beautiful place.'
He hummed. 'It suits you, beautiful place for a beautiful girl.' He wears a smirk as his fingers slide over your swimsuit and slowly slip under under it grazes your bare hipbone.
'Timothee,' you warn with the most conviction you could.
'What?' he asked innocently.
You peck him on the lips, pulling away and leaving him to chase them. 'You have a problem.'
'Yes, I do.' Slowly, he slides the book of the chair, leaving it to thud on the ground and he slowly settles you down, as he slides along your back, slowly taking the straps down with his teeth. 'Will you help me?'
˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀
As the sun sets on your simple day, the two of you sit at dinner outside as always. You listen to Timothee strum the guitar he brought along, mumble along to some songs he'd learnt for Bob Dylan.
Then, he passed it to you, letting you strum what songs you knew from other movies you'd done.
Once you set the guitar down, it fell quiet.
'You know I want to marry you, right?' said Timmy out of nowhere. 'Not here. Not now. When it's right, for you.'
You look at him. You spoke about futures, but never had he said so blatantly that he will marry you. 'What about you?' you ask.
'I'll be ready when you are,' he says, gently brushing your hair behind your shoulder. 'And this could be our lives. Here. Every summer this could be our villa. You and me. Then one day, our kids. Then, when we've made enough movies we'll do what the old movie stars do. Retire, direct or produce a movie or something. We'd be like those cooky neighbours who throw the craziest parties.'
'Cheeseboards,' you suggest. 'Watching sunsets and sunrises, walking to town to buy ingredients for supper. Then complaining about the kids running around our feet while trying to cook.' you say, playing pretend for your future lives.
Timothee nodded, leaning closer to you, like he could see the future in your eyes. 'We'll hide away here, in the trees, and swim together, naked- when we're alone of course-' you laugh at his. 'and we can spend all day together, I'd get to touch you whenever I please,' his hands slowly caressed up your legs, careful and light.
You blush, smiling and resting your chin in the palm of your hands. 'All day every day touching you.'
'Could you think of anything better?' he smirked, lips brushing yours.
'Well, right now, a few things.' you kissed him and kissed him, thankful forever for the Italian sun.

What They'd Do for a First Date (Axis, Allies, & Nordics)
Tumblr media
Something very quick because I just really wanted to get this idea out there. Also, I'm spending more and more time on my 2p!Prussia x Reader fic, but I wanted to make sure the rest of y'all are being fed.
So here are my headcanons on where I think a large chunk of the Hetalia boys would do for a first date!
Tumblr media
Italy: While Feliciano's down for pretty much anything, he'd want to make sure the first date is something special. As such, he'd plan a nice, romantic dinner for the two of you where he cooks the food.
Germany: Ludwig would want to have the date at his house where you'd bake something together. He'd rather make either cake or bread. But he'd be open to hearing your ideas on what the two of you can bake.
Japan: I can see Kiku taking you to a painting class. Nothing super fancy or advanced, but something small, simple, and fun. Something where the two of you can delve into your creative side.
Prussia: Gilbert would 100% take you to the movies. He'd be down for seeing whatever you wanted to see, though he's more partial to action/adventure films. However, he wouldn't be opposed to horror, as he likes the idea of you getting scared and holding onto him.
Romano: Lovino will take you on a long walk around Rome sightseeing. He'd be pointing out every last bit of architecture you see and would recite a full history of everything. He's also the kind of guy to wanna take you on a boat ride.
America: Two words; amusement park. Alfred will absolutely take you to an amusement park or a state fair where you'd eat all kinds of fried foods, go on all of the rides, and, if it's a state fair, take you to the petting zoo. He'd also stress over planning the perfect kiss at the top of the Ferris wheel where the two of you'd watch the fireworks.
England: A first date with Arthur would be at a bookstore similar to that of Barnes and Noble. He'd want to look at different books with you and then chat about them over a cup of tea at an adjoining cafe.
France: I know it's kinda cliche at this point, but Francis would bring you to a fancy restaurant for a romantic, candle-lit dinner. Preferably in an area of the restaurant that is somewhat secluded. Hey, if it ain't broke don't fix it!
Russia: Ivan would simply want to go for a walk. Nothing big and fancy. He's perfectly content with something quiet and simple. He'd want to just stroll around town and chat about any of your shared likes or hobbies.
China: Maybe this is a little funny, seeing as he's so old, but Yao would take you to a museum. Mainly to constantly fact-check the workers there, as well as the displays. Especially if it's a Chinese museum. He's been around for 4000+ years, honey. He knows more than the people who work there.
Canada: Okay, this can go one of two ways. Matthieu would either take you on a nature walk through the beautiful Canadian woods, or he'd take you to a hockey game. Either way, the night will end with the two of you going in for a kiss, only to get interrupted by Mr. Kumajiro.
Denmark: I know this is gonna sound ridiculous, but Mathias would absolutely take you to the Lego Store. There is no way you can convince me that this man doesn't love Legos. He'd get cute little minifigures made of the two of you.
Sweden: I can see Berwald either being content with sitting at home and drinking hot cocoa, going to a musical performance of some kind, or, dare I say it, going to an IKEA and talking about what pieces of furniture would look the best in his or your living room.
Norway: Lukas would take you out into the woods late in the evening for the two of you to stargaze. He'd point out different constellations and tell you the stories behind them.
Finland: Alright, we all know Tino's a cutie, but don't let that adorable face deceive you. A first date with this man will either end up with him taking you to a heavy metal concert, or taking you out sharpshooting.

First interraction with Marcus volturi and any character you want please 💗
𝕸𝖆𝖗𝖈𝖚𝖘 𝖁𝖔𝖑𝖙𝖚𝖗𝖎
It was winter in Italy, and the coldest one yet. At least in your short lifetime. Visiting family and friends who lived here was always such good fun, though there wasn't as much to do here in the small town of Volterra in comparison to home. Yes there were markets and cafe's, but it still wasn't home.
The thought was shaken from you by the cold icy breeze. When you were a child and thought 'Italy', you were surrounded by the ideas of tanning and boats, gelato and galleries. Not the current minuses in temperature and frost, nor the redness of your nose and jutter in your shoulders. Just two weeks, and then home you shall arrive. But for now this pond isn't too bad a view.
"Cold, Tesoro?" A voice shakes you from your stupor, low and gravelly. Wizzing your head around to meet his gaze, you find eyes almost as black as the depths of the murky pond, onyx in a way unseen until now.
"A little, sir." As you speak you notice him begin to remove his cloak, a black that blends in with the midnight, looking as if it were a colour sample from the night itself. Your hand somehow raises itself, a motion attempted to stop him. And yet it does not. "I'll be fine. Really."
"Doubtful" is all he gives in return, taking a place by your side as if it was the most natural thing in the world - instinct. Your brows furrow and our heart quickens just the littlest.
"Who are you, anyway?" It comes out brash, rude almost despite you not having meant it this way. It would be understandable, though. A strange man wrapping his cloak around you in the middle of the night, and staying silently by your side. Luckily enough he chuckles, obviously finding something humorous about the moment.
"Who am I?" Though you cannot see his face as you both gaze upon the pond, you can hear the grin in his voice, the amusement he finds in this little interaction. "My name is Marcus. I occupy and own the castle grounds you are trespassing on, as well as the water and fish we are watching, tesoro."
"Trespassing?" You can almost feel life itself draining from you in dread of the trouble you might have accidentally caused. Who was he? Hopefully you hadn't somehow angered the man who owns a bloody castle. "I'm sorry, I didn't know. I can lea-"
He stops you from removing the cloak he had draped over you, halting your voice with a simple hand raise. Figures it works on you and not the other way round. Finally, he turns his body toward you fully and allows you to see his full face. Pale yet inviting. Old and wise, yet young and hopeful. "There will be no need for that, dearest. You are welcome here. In fact, do you wish to see my library? Perhaps it shall be yours one day too."
And though every bone inside of you should be screaming stranger danger you cannot help but trust him somehow. Somehow, when your arm links with his you can do nothing but melt into his touch. Somehow, when you enter inside him warm and inviting home and learn of it all, you can't help but bare your neck and entrust yourself. Damned Italian winter.
Though you and your husband are now eternally colder.

Luca Marinelli hugged me 🥺
Spoleto Festival, 2024
I'm Marie , 26, queer fan of Luca Marinelli from Germany and I flew to Italy for 24 hours to see the special event in Spoleto.
It was an 1 hour conversation with the crew of Luca's play. To explain: I stutter pretty severly and it's very difficult for me to talk fluently, especially in front of so many people. So i didn't think I would have the chance to ask a question. Especially since it was completely sold out.
I had written down a little thank you letter to Luca in my notes app just in case. I've been a fan of his for 10 years and his role as Nicky in The Old Guard saved my life and he continues to save it ❤️ I struggle with depression and anxiety and Nicky inspires me to eat well and Joe and Nicky make me fall in love with life.
So , the Event started in Spoleto, the cutest little town. I lived in Italy for a year some time ago so I could follow the conversation in Italian on stage easily.
Luca seemed very happy to be there and guys: he's soooooo beautiful!!! They talked a bit and started answering questions from the public. I summoned all my courage and raised my hand. Luca is fluent in German since he lives in Berlin so I started talking in German, explaining that I stutter. He was so excited to see someone from Germany 🥺 then I couldn't talk fluently due to the stutter, he said very gently "alles gut " = "it's okay ". I raised my phone to indicate i had a message for him. He came over and read it out loud in Italian since I'd written it in Italian.
In the letter I said he's a great great actor and that "his" Nicky saves my life. His SMILE when he talked about TOG added ten years to my life. He then got up, handed me back my phone and HUGGED ME!!! I didn't except it and was so surprised. That meant the world to me 🥺🥺❤️ He truly gives great hugs 🥺 the entire theatre clapped btw!!!!
He also looked soooo similar to how he looked as Nicky and that made me very emotional. He was nervous and anxious and times but I could definitely relate to that 😁
In conclusion: Luca is the kindest man ever who deserves all the success and love and kindness in his life. 🥰❤️🌠
PS: I only took one pic and one short video because I was so present and in the moment 🥰

Standing on top of this mountain looking over unfamiliar fields, you don’t remember a time in the recent past you’ve felt so at peace, the quiet fluttering of the sparrows easing the ever-present ache in your heart.
It was a tasteful ceremony. A small church in the middle of the Chianti region, in a little town with a name you couldn’t pronounce, decorated with so many candles that the room was sweltering, even with the breeze wafting in from the hills. Mikasa and Jean’s little girl, Clara, had played the role of flower girl perfectly; you hadn’t seen her since she was a newborn, and there she was, toddling down the aisle on fat little three-year-old legs. Historia and Ymir were beautiful brides, practically unchanged over the years, still as consumed with each other as they had been in college.
Even now, you distinctly remember a drunken night when Ymir promised Historia that she would take her to Europe one day, and here she was, marrying her beloved blonde in the heart of Italy. Another memory surfaces, parallel to that one, of someone looping an arm around your waist as you watched college-Ymir make her declaration, a whisper in your ear of the same promise. You pack that up and tuck it away as soon as it surfaces, scratching at your elbow.
“What are you doing out here?” Mikasa’s voice is behind you, drawing closer. You smile down at Clara, holding her mother’s hand and wobbling out into the grass.
“Just thinking,” you sigh, swishing your wine around in its glass, “I should come back in and join the party.”
“They just finished the champagne toast, but you haven’t missed the first dance,” Mikasa agrees.
You take Clara’s other hand and reluctantly allow yourself to be led back into the thick of things, the two of you swinging the little girl between you. Her shrieks of joy make you smile in spite of yourself, calming the nerves fluttering around in your stomach. Years had passed and things had changed, you and everyone else around you included.
It was a gorgeous reception, even more beautiful than the ceremony. They’d chosen a huge stone patio outside of the massive villa they’d rented, covered by columns of stone arching up to form a roof and dripping with flowered vines. It was exactly what you would’ve chosen, so beautiful it didn’t need decoration. Simple, natural, Tuscan.
“He didn’t bring a date,” Mikasa murmurs to you as you enter the terrace, scanning the room for Jean. She didn’t need to specify who “he” was; you had seen him at the ceremony, longer hair than you remembered, two rows ahead of you. Even if you hadn’t, the sad truth was there was really only one “he” for you, and Mikasa knew that.
“What do you want me to do with that?” You respond, trying and failing to mask your discomfiture with irritation.
“Whatever you want,” Mikasa shrugs, vague as always, scooping Clara up onto her hip and striding across the tented reception to Jean. You watch her go, watch Jean take Clara and kiss Mikasa, envy and self-pity clawing at your heart.
Ymir and Historia chose a slower song than you expected; it must be Historia’s doing that they were doing a first dance at all. Ymir had made it exceptionally clear during the bachelorette trip that all of the frills were to make Historia happy, and she was mostly looking forward to the honeymoon. The memory makes you snort into your empty wine glass, until you catch a glimpse of green eyes across the room.
Eren’s suit is more expensive than anything you knew he owned, sharp at the corners and resembling something your boss’ boss would wear. Mikasa had mentioned months ago that Eren and Zeke’s business was really taking off, but you find yourself wondering if these were the clothes he wore now, or if it was a splurge. He’s staring at you, no surprise there. Breakup aside, Eren’s the most possessive person you’ve ever known, and anything that was his is always his, at least from his point of view. That was part of the problem, you reflect, tracing your red fingernail around the rim of your wine glass.
The first dance concludes and amidst the applause, waiters begin circling the room with hors d'oeuvres, little bits of smoked salmon and crudite platters. After the travel and ceremony, you’re ravenous, and you begin weaving your way through the crowd to track down a tray with carbohydrates on it.
You’re halfway through stuffing a croquette into your mouth when Armin interrupts you, chuckling. “Hungry?”
“I only flew over this morning,” you excuse yourself, dabbing at your mouth with a cocktail napkin. Armin doesn’t care, you know that, but after the last few years of cocktail hours with the most influential magazine and website owners in the world, manners are second-nature.
“At least it was a short flight. You came from…Belgium?”
“Moscow,” you shrug, “four hour flight into Milan, two hour train, hour long car service.”
“Car service?” Armin cocks an eyebrow. “Haven’t you gotten fancy over the years?”
You blush, embarrassed. “Did you fly from the states?”
“Shanghai, actually.” Armin’s face shows it, still puffy from the flight. “I don’t even know how many hours, just that it was long.”
“I’ve made that flight,” you say, empathizing, “not a fun one.”
“I was able to throw some miles from my company card into it and get first class, though, it was the nicest-”
“Can I join you two?” Your heart drops. You knew he was watching you, he’s always watching you, but to be so bold as to interrupt a conversation, speak to you here? Now?
“Sure, Eren,” Armin steps to the side to make room for Eren at the high-top table you’ve found yourselves gathering around, “we were just catching up on our flights over.”
Eren nods, masterfully collected as he smiles politely at you. “I actually had business over here, so I left New York maybe…a week ago, now? It wasn’t bad at all, our company card covers first-class flights.”
Some strange mix of annoyance and being impressed swells in your throat. You take a swig of wine to swallow it, not trusting yourself to resist throwing out a snarky comment or alternatively inquiring about where this first-class-covering business card came from. You don’t owe him the satisfaction. Armin nods politely, but you can see the tension in his smile. The history between Eren and you could stretch for miles of scorched earth, and it’s no secret. You imagine that earth, black and smoking, half-finished houses with white picket fences smoldering down to their foundations.
“So,” Eren breaks the silence, turning to you, “where did you come in from?”
“Moscow.” One-word answers, minimal detail, you assure yourself in your head. He won’t get his claws in you this time if you don’t let him.
“Moscow is beautiful,” Eren sips the bourbon that you had considered throwing in his face when he approached, “but a little cold this time of year, isn’t it?”
“It was very nice, actually,” you can’t help disagreeing for the sake of it, “I was only in town for a few days covering a story, anyway.” Shit. You’ve betrayed yourself already and revealed a detail. Eren’s smile curls up over his cheeks like a cat that’s found a trapped mouse. You kick yourself inwardly.
“Hear that, Armin? Our little bookworm is still writing.”
You roll your eyes at the old nickname from college, earned by your constant pleas to stay in for a comfy night instead of a frat party. You had read over 350 books in college, breaking your four-year goal by at least fifty. Eren used to beg you to tell him the stories you read before bed like a child, because he couldn’t be bothered to read the actual book and it sounds so much more interesting when you read it, baby. And up until the last three years, you had obliged him. Now, the only person you read to sleep is yourself.
“I made a career out of it,” you snip, “so yes, still writing.”
“Clara’s getting into the wedding cake- I don’t see Mikasa, shit, one sec-” Armin’s sentence is cut short by the speed with which he darts away from the pair of you, running off towards a table on the other side of the room. You don’t necessarily blame him, but you seethe anyway, vowing to repay him for abandoning you.
“Career, hm?” Eren hums pleasantly. “Work’s going well, then?”
You snatch a second glass of wine off of a passing tray, wanting more than anything to walk away from him, but you both know your feet won’t move. Getting a nice buzz going is your only option, at this point. You take a healthy swig, shrugging. “I enjoy it, and it pays.”
“That’s a beautiful dress,” Eren murmurs, quiet and thoughtful. You blush and frown all at once.
“Says the one wearing a $6,000 suit.”
“Is it?” Eren fingers his lapel. He looks amused, and you want to smack the faux-bashfulness right off of his face. “I honestly didn’t know.”
“Your work must be going exceedingly well, then,” you glare, seeing right through him. The facade falters for just a moment, a critical moment: Eren almost looks sad.
“The business took off about a year ago,” he’s not looking at you, focusing on something in the distance, “so I’m traveling almost constantly now. I hardly see Zeke, my only company is usually just my assistant or a flight attendant. I love visiting a new city every week, but it’s…”
“Lonely?” You finish for him before you can stop yourself. He nods, looking surprised.
“Your work keeps you on the go now, too?”
“I switched over to a rolling travel schedule two years ago, when Rolling Stone started their global music column. It ended up being super popular and I’m the lead journalist, so I’m basically running all over the world listening to the weirdest music you can imagine. They had me head over to Berlin one time to cover the ‘rising alien punk scene’; it was…really something.” You pull a funny face at the memory, Eren laughs, a deep, real laugh from the belly. You can hear yourself rambling, revealing, but you can’t stop. It’s so natural that the realization of falling back into yourself, the self that loved Eren, is making your skin crawl. You should walk away, look for an out-
“Have you explored the grounds at all?”
Eren’s question snaps you out of your moment of clarity, back into his magnetic field. “The grounds?”
“This house,” Eren gestures to the villa that Ymir and Historia have rented for their closest friends, “sits on over a thousand acres of vineyard. The best wine in the world.”
“I can tell,” you examine the legs on your glass of red, provided by the vineyard itself, “it’s not my usual French, but it’s incredible.”
“Snob,” Eren grins at you. You have always been a picky wine drinker, Eren used to joke that you could pass a sommelier test without even taking the course. “So, the grounds?”
He offers you an elbow. You look at it, weighing but not really weighing your options, and slip your arm through his, feeling the rapid thudding of your pulse. You’re fairly sure if anyone looked closely at your neck, they’d see the frantic heartbeat insistently pushing right under your skin. You tell yourself it will only be a short walk, just a few minutes, because you do want to see the grounds, even if it’s with the last person you should be spending any time with. You hope that you’ll be able to sneak out without catching Mikasa’s eye.
Eren tugs you along, prattling on about the history of the vineyard, entirely unaware that you’re not listening. This Eren is so different from the Eren you left in New York, but still similar, still feels like home. His nose and jaw have only grown stronger with age, but his eyes still have a youthful glimmer, even if they seem sharper and more intense than you’ve ever seen them. It’s unlikely that he’s physically grown even taller between 23 and 26, but his presence makes him seem like the tallest man in the room. He’s self assured, confident, and in charge, in a manlier, more mature way that you’ve never seen before. A heat simmers in your stomach as you admire the curve of his strong neck, and you want to swat your own hand, tell yourself to settle down. It’s just a walk.
“I think I could die happy here,” Eren says, looking over the view you’ve approached, about a half mile from the rest of the party now. You chuckle.
“A beautiful view and some good wine is all it takes?”
“That’s most of it, these days,” Eren shrugs, “but I do need cable. And-”
“A television, a gym, at least one case of shitty domestic beer in the house at all times,” you count off on your fingers.
“For starters,” Eren concedes with a shy grin. “And a wife.”
Those last two words cause your heart to stop altogether. You look around, realizing just how far you are from the villa, how alone you are with him. The sun is setting reluctantly around you both, sinking slowly, holding onto the landscape with an iron grip.
“That would be nice,” you stammer, “f-for you, definitely.”
“Want to explore this building over here?” As if nothing out of the ordinary happened, Eren points out a smaller home down the hill from you both. “It’s really cool inside.”
You trudge along beside him, having kicked off your heels and left them at the reception long ago, and a fresh wave of anger kicks up in your chest. It was just so quintessentially Eren; drop a bomb, and then act like nothing happened. It reminds you that there are aspects of Eren you can’t stand, and that reminder instills you with the confidence to seclude yourself with him in the charming little stone house.
It is really cool. No window panes in the entire bottom floor, just the fresh vineyard air rolling in. There’s a little kitchenette, some various odds and ends of sofas and chairs sprawling across the clay-bricked floors. A huge table, clearly made for workers’ lunch breaks over the centuries, squats in the middle of the bottom floor, and racks of wine cover the walls. You break away from him to pick up a bottle or two, examine the label, brush off some dust.
Eren grants you a few moments to yourself before you sense him behind you, closer than you want to consider.
“Anything good?” He says, peering right over your shoulder from the sound of it.
You turn around before you can regret it, chest to chest with him. He’s hunching his head to make the best eye contact with you he can, the way he’s always done. You focus on breathing normally, not giving him the satisfaction of knowing how his proximity still affects you after all these years. “A ‘92 vintage Chianti. They actually talked about this wine in my sommelier course; I didn’t even realize this was the same vineyard.”
“You took the course?” Eren smiles crookedly, an endearing grin that you’ve always loved. You smile despite yourself.
“Yeah,” you admit quietly, “I took the course.”
Eren grins wider, and thankfully leaves you there, striding across the room to shuffle through the kitchen drawers. When he returns, he’s holding a wine key and two glasses. You cock your head, confused.
“It’s supposed to be the best, huh? Crack it open.”
“Eren…” you trail off, holding the bottle gingerly, “this bottle has to be over a thousand dollars. We can’t do it.”
“Did I forget to mention this is my bunk for the trip?” He smiles again, his prominent canines glinting in the sunset light streaming in, gesturing around the room grandly; your knees nearly buckle at the sight. “Bedroom’s upstairs. Ymir and Historia said any of the wine’s up for grabs. It’s the owners’ fault if they left the good stuff out for us to get into, and it’s on my tab anyway.”
You’re nearly speechless, not only that Eren got an entire house to himself (he’s always been the spoiled brat of the friend group), but that he tricked you into coming here, with him. When you fail to respond, he takes it simply as more reluctance to open the bottle, and he grabs the bottle from you and starts to dig the corkscrew in through the top.
You let a few beats pass, considering your options as he pours the wine. When he finally hands you the glass, you give voice to your thoughts, testing the waters. “Why did you bring me here?”
“Because you love wine and the house is cool,” Eren shrugs innocently, taking a sip, “damn, that’s good. Try it.”
You hold your glass stock-still in your hands. “We’re done with…what we used to do, you know. That’s not what’s going on here.”
The air sparkles with dust; Eren’s demeanor stutters, a small frown working its way onto his face. “Just try the wine, babe.”
Your heart flutters, your stomach sinks, your memories with Eren shriek from the back of your mind. The pet name is too familiar, too easy, and it brings a cold chill over you. As you’re prone to do, your panic comes shooting out coated in snark.“Babe? Yeah, no, I’m done-”
“Sorry, sorry– it was a mistake, force of habit,” Eren’s already apologizing as you’re talking; you hate how he can still anticipate your reaction before you can give it. He grabs your wrist as you turn to leave, rolling his eyes, “a mistake. Try your wine, you don’t know when you’re going to stumble across that again.”
You let him hold your wrist, enjoying the pressure of his strong hands into the delicate flesh of your arm despite yourself. You look between him, the wine, the room several times, as if you’re weighing your decision. You know what you’re going to choose, but maybe you can pretend that he doesn’t know, too. Eren’s willing to play along, eyes wide and pleading.
Without breaking your gaze, you carefully taste the wine. Damn him, it is good. It has a complexity of flavor and a depth to it that’s incredibly rare, even in the French countryside wines you tend to favor. Even though you fight it, you smile at him and offer your glass for him to pour more.
The bottle passes quickly, both of you settling yourselves in chairs at the kitchen table, discussing old friends, new friends, reminiscing on the college years when you were both a little happier and a little less sane. You hardly notice the sun setting further, the smallest bits of twilight leaking into the corners of the sky.
“Your teeth are so red,” you giggle, head spinning. The wine was delicious, delicious enough for Eren to pop open a second bottle, but God, was it strong. You aren’t sure how you’ll manage the walk back up to the reception- is the reception even still going on?
“So are yours,” Eren pinches your cheek, giggling drunkenly along with you.
“God, you’re right.” You place a finger onto your teeth, rubbing frantically at the wine stains to no avail. Eren reaches a wobbling hand out to pull your fingers out of your mouth, shaking his head. He frowns and shakes his head, childlike.
“Don’t take them off.”
“The wine stains?”
“Yeah.”
“Why? They make teeth look dirty,” you laugh again, trying to shove your finger back into your mouth where Eren’s holding it.
“I…okay, maybe it’s weird, but I always thought it was kind of sexy when your teeth were all red from wine,” Eren blushes, and it’s so childishly endearing that you can feel your heart swell.
“Really?”
“I never told you that?” Eren looks astonished, chuckling under his breath. “It drove me crazy back when we were together. You’d go to Historia’s, or Sasha’s, or whoever’s and down a bottle or two of red and come stumbling back into that crappy apartment in Harlem-”
“-the one with the mean bodega lady outside!”
“Yes!” Eren snaps his fingers, pointing at you excitedly. “Anyway, you’d come waddling back in, hair a mess and wine all over your teeth, your lips would be bright purple, and you’d always be so horny-”
“Eren!”
“It’s true! You’d ride me for an hour before you knocked out.” Eren sipped his wine, smiling in a private way that you felt was just for you.
“An hour seems like a bit of a stretch,” you murmur, looking down into your glass. You’ve almost finished your wine and you shouldn’t have any more, the reception is waiting for you and you’ve been gone with Eren long enough that you’ve been missed at this point. When you pull your head up, Eren looks different. It’s a familiar face on a new man: his eyes have a mischievous glimmer in them, the sunset winking at you through his green irises.
His tongue darts out to wet his lips; your mind wanders to that tongue, those lips. Mentally, you dance over what you know those lips and tongue can do, how they feel on your mouth, your neck, between your legs. Your wine-addled mind tries to shake the persistent thought. Eren reaches a hand over to your mouth, absentmindedly rubbing a thumb over the corner of your lips.
“Still think it looks sexy,” he mumbles, half-drunk and half expecting a stern reprimand from you. His eyes search your face, curious of your reaction. It’s the moment you’ve been running around the world from for the last three years, finally coming to fruition here in this little house.
You embarrass and surprise yourself simultaneously: tears well in your eyes. You want him; you’re drunk and beautiful and desperate for him in the beautiful countryside of Italy, but he’s so bad for you. They’re tears that have been waiting behind your eyes, tears of frustration and desire.
“Why are you crying?” Eren asks, furrowing his brow. You know he knows, he understands you and your emotions better than anyone. You’re angry with him, angry that he knows the source of your tears before you open your mouth.
“We’re done, Eren,” you fail miserably to steel your voice, “we can’t do this anymore, remember? It’s not good for us.”
“It’s been three years, baby,” Eren responds, still rubbing his thumb over your lips, “three years of growing. We’re different now– I’m different.”
“No,” you sniffle, feeling like a child. Whether he’s changed or not is still up for debate, but your sore heart can only take so much. He’s so beautiful, soaked in sun and wine and temptation, simpering at you. Your resolve is weakening by the second.
“Yes,” Eren insists, “it’s me. You belong to me, you know you do.”
“Eren–”
“You always do this, always try to run from me, but I’ll always find you,” he murmurs, “I’ll go to every corner of the earth if I need to. I’ll always find you because you’re mine.”
You’d love to say that he leaned in, he grabbed your face and pulled you to him, but you’d be lying. It’s you who leans forward ever so slightly, catching your chapped lips in his and kissing him tentatively. You wouldn’t be lying if you told anyone that he sighed into your mouth, ready to feel your body under his hands again. You wouldn’t be lying in the slightest.
Eren allows you a few tentative kisses, a few pecks against his lips, familiar and new all the same. Once you’ve had your fill of shyness, your obligatory ruse of unassuredness, he reaches for you, scooping you into his lap. You straddle him, whimpering at the friction of his already-growing bulge against your clothed cunt. He has to push your dress up to allow you room to spread your legs over him; you’re wearing a slinky little silk number, a gorgeous deep brown against your tanned skin, but not cooperative for lap-sitting.
Eren’s tongue is practically down your throat, teeth nipping at your bottom lip when you have to pull away for air, hands roaming your now-bare thighs.
“This dress,” he pants between kisses, “is so fucking perfect on you. Look so good for me.”
You sigh into his mouth, running your hands through his hair. Off to the side of your mind, you realize you may have knocked his hair out of its bun, but the dark locks feel so soft in your fingers, you can’t bring yourself to apologize for it. He’s wrapping his hands around your ass; Eren always loved your full hips, and it seems that that fact hasn’t changed.
Your hands find their way to his neck, his shoulders, his chest. He’s grown stronger over the years, definitive muscles rippling under your fingers, but the broadness he’s always possessed is still there. He’s large compared to you, twice as wide and at least a head taller, and you loathe to admit it, but it turns you on. You love the way he manhandles you, the way he pushes and pulls you exactly how he wants you, the way he grabs your hips hard enough to bruise, rocking them against his own.
A particularly well-placed thrust of his hips against yours elicits a wanton groan from you, spilling into his mouth. Eren moans back, moving away from your lips to mouth his way down your throat.
“Gonna sit you up now, okay?”
He stands, knocking the chairs aside on his way up, to set you on the table, the perfect height for him to grope at you, pull your dress this way and that.
“Wanna get this thing off, will you let me?”
You hesitate, or try to, at least. His hands are dizzying, flying all over your body and squeezing at just the right spots as he nibbles on your earlobe. “But, the reception–”
“Sh, sh, sh. We’re so far away, baby, they’ll never even know, yeah?” Eren goads you and you’re putty in his hands, the rapidly-shrinking rational part of your brain growing quieter with each kiss, each pet. He manages to wrench your dress over your head, leaving you in nothing but a stringy pair of panties. Eren steps back to look over you; you resist the urge to cover yourself. You know his routine.
“Fuck,” Eren breathes, palming your tits, “you’re perfect, do you know that? So beautiful just for me, aren’t you?”
You flush pink from your chest to your forehead. Even after years of love and war and running, his bedroom talk still gets to you. Eren loves to tell you what he thinks of you, and you’ve never managed to grow accustomed to hearing it.
“Say it.”
“Hm?” You hum, preoccupied with his mouth pressing wet, open-mouthed kisses around your breasts, even pausing to suck a bruise into the side of your left.
“Say you’re beautiful, tell me how pretty you are for me.”
This part is new; Eren has always loved to talk to you in bed, but your participation in the dirty talk has been minimal until now. Your blush grows even deeper. “I’m beautiful, beautiful just for you.”
“Good girl,” Eren purrs, allowing you to pull his head closer to your chest. His tongue swirls around one nipple. He closes his lips around it, sucking hard, and you moan openly, pulling him closer. Eren grins, letting his teeth pinch down on it. “You still like when I play with your tits, hm?”
“Yes,” you hiss, too caught up in pleasure to address his smugness.
“Know you baby, know you inside and out. These tits are mine,” a hand wanders down to your cunt, swiping across your panties and feeling the wetness that soaks them, “and this pussy’s mine too. You might not love me anymore, but your body– oh, she loves me.”
You have no way to respond to that, no way to address what those words do to your brain. Chagrin as you might be to admit it, he’s right. Eren was your first and only adult relationship, fucking your body into submission for years and training it, training your cunt to respond to him and the way he liked to touch you. He’s pushed and prodded you into his perfect little fuckdoll, and you let him and you loved it. You loved every second of it, and god does it feel good rushing back to you now, finally under his hands again after years without.
Eren nudges your panties to the side, rubbing quick circles over your clit, just the way you like it. A long, heady whine leaks from your lips, your hips urgently roll towards him.
“Missed me? Is that it?” Your eyes are closed, but you can hear the smug grin on his lips. Eren loves when you’re needy for him.
“Mhm,” you indulge him in the hopes you’ll get what you want, and you’re right. A long finger sinks into you, instantly curling to press into the spongy spot within your walls that has you swooning, clutching desperately onto his shoulders.
“That’s it, feels good doesn’t it?”
You pull at his suit jacket, fumbling with the buttons on his collared shirt. “Want it off, want to see you.”
Eren relents, pulling his hand from you to step back and strip his shirt and jacket. He is as muscular as he feels; you drag your eyes over his strong chest, his defined abs, and the deep V leading down below his belt. You briefly remember all of your post-college friends, girls that had never known Eren, teasing you that he was your hottest ex. You had blushed, but you understand. He’s like a Greek statue, glistening with sweat from the evening heat, every crevice of him on display just for you. It sends a fresh wave of heat pulsing through your body, and you pull him back to you, relishing in the feel of his hands on you.
“Want me to make you cum, is that it?” Eren’s amused, sinking two fingers into your heat. You croon, nodding desperately. He chuckles, moving his fingers against the spot inside of you. “I’ve got you, don’t worry baby. Gonna make you feel good.”
You nod again into his shoulder, attached to him wherever you can find the space, grasping his body and pulling it to yours. You wish you had the capacity to be ashamed of your need, laid bare for him to see, but you don’t. All you can think about is his fingers moving in you, gaining speed and bringing you closer to an embarrassingly fast orgasm.
He slides a third in, just to be safe, and you’re so wet that your pussy accepts it willingly. The stretch makes you pout, push at his chest. “Too much, Eren–”
“Gotta get you ready for me,” he huffs, his arousal getting the better of him, “get you ready to get fucked. Cunt’s tight after all these years, isn’t it? Gotta work it open.”
That does a lot to your hazy brain; you bite deep into his shoulder, moans coming faster and louder as he works his fingers in you. The bubble is building in the pit of your stomach, your hips are canting towards him.
“Eren, Eren I–”
“I know, I know,” he coos, fingers curling inside you even faster, “my girl needs to cum, doesn’t she? You want to cum all over my fingers, don’t you?”
“Yes,” you cry into his skin, biting and moaning alternatively. Your head’s spinning; you can’t remember the last time you felt this good. You’re no nun, not by any means, but Eren knows your body, crafted it to respond to him, to his hands and mouth and cock, and your body is rejoicing at the feel of him on and in you again. You can’t hold it, you know you can’t, you’re moments away now. “Eren, I’m going to cum, I’m gonna–”
“Do it, baby,” he growls into your ear, his fingers working even faster, thumb moving up to swipe at your clit, “give it to me, want to hear you cum.”
Your body convulses and you’re cumming hard, with Eren the first one of the night always goes that way. Eren knows it, pulls you close against him and works his fingers in you, helping you ride it out. He’s practically purring into your ear, telling you what a good girl you are, cumming all over his fingers like that, and you eat it up. You cry into his flesh where it’s secured between your teeth, rocking your hips into his hand desperately.
Your orgasm begins to fade, and you find the presence of mind to shove at his fingers, begging for a reprieve. “Give me your cock, want it in my mouth.”
“Is that what you need?” Eren’s already helping you onto your knees, gentle, but needy. “Need my cock in your mouth?”
“Please,” you say eagerly, adjusting your knees to a comfortable position on the dirt floor, easily unbuttoning his pants and shoving them down his legs. He steps out of his shoes, kicking his pants off, strong thighs twitching under your nails as you softly scratch down them. A groan rumbles in Eren’s chest at your enthusiasm, he places a hand on your head, running through your curls.
“Can’t be for too long, ‘kay?” Eren pants, hissing when you press a gentle kiss to the tip of his cock. “Still gotta fuck you, feel you cum on me.”
You hum your approval, popping him fully into your mouth with a satisfied moan. You’ve always loved taking him in your mouth, the comforting weight of him on your tongue. You’re getting impossibly wetter, feeling the heat gather between your legs as you bob your head up and down on him, listening to his satisfied little grunts and groans above you.
Eren rubs a hand over your cheek, mutters his approval, thrusts his hips forwards unwittingly a few times. You gag when he does, but it’s nothing you can’t handle. You’ve taken him like this so many times, even with his impressive size, you love the feel of him pressing back into your throat until you choke.
“Fuck, fuck, baby it’s– it’s too much,” Eren indulges in a few more thrusts into your throat before grabbing your hair and urging you off of him, “need your pussy, okay?”
You’re not going to argue with that, letting him pull you to your feet, an anticipatory smile cracking across your face. You’re drunk on the wine and sex and him, babbling nonsensically. “Wanna feel you, Eren, need you.”
“I’ve got you, gonna make you feel so good, princess.” Impressively, Eren scoops you off of the ground, wrapping your legs around his waist. He walks you both over to the wall, pressing you up against it. “Gonna make you mine all over again, yeah? You’d like that, wouldn’t you?”
It’s a loaded question, but you’re so captivated by him, all you can do is murmur your agreement, tell him you want to be his because at least for now, you do. Eren’s magnetic, the man you run from so you don’t get lost in him, but tonight, you’re willing to drown. You’re begging for it.
The stone wall is rough against your bare back, but the head of Eren’s cock rubbing through your folds distracts you, a promise of what’s to come.
“Please, please put it in, Eren, I need–”
“My girl needs to be full, doesn’t she?” Eren’s smirking at you, slipping the tip of his cock in. Even the stretch of that alone is enough to make you moan, digging your nails into his back. “There you go, gonna fill you up, make you all better.”
You nod into his shoulder, the weight of your actions catching up to you as he presses himself into you, fills you entirely. Eren’s your kryptonite, he’s a drug, he’s an overwhelming presence, you can’t think straight around him. Before coming to this wedding, you told yourself you’d stay away, but you can’t help it. Everything about him is like he’s sculpted just for you, your body yields to him so easily you think you might be made just for him too. His skin, salty and sweaty from the summer air, is delicious under your tongue.
He’s moving now, fucking up into you desperately, like he loves you and like he wants to break you. You jolt in his arms, helpless to do anything but take and take and take everything he has to give you.
He smiles against your open mouth, placing a sloppy kiss over it. “Does that feel good?”
“Feels so fucking good,” you whimper, letting him manhandle you. Eren’s always rough with you, always riding the line of too much, and you love taking it. You love letting him push you to your limits.
“Missed my cock in you, didn’t you? This cunt was made for me,” Eren huffs, “made just for me. Mine, isn’t it?”
You don’t indulge him with an answer, loathe to admit that your cunt is made for him, but you feel yourself clench down around him, more of your wetness soaking his lower stomach. Eren chokes out some mix of a moan and a breathless laugh, fucking up into you harder. “What a perfect answer, baby. You love it, I know you do.”
“I love it,” you agree, simpering against him as your willpower fizzles out to nothing. You’re reluctant to believe it, but there’s another orgasm building in the pit of your stomach. Your body responds to him in a way it responds to no one else, clinging to him and growing wet for him and tightening around him.
Eren’s digging his hands into your hips, moving you up and down on his cock more so than actually thrusting. He’s panting against your ear, hot and heavy and in tune with your own gasps. He nudges his mouth down to plant sloppy kisses around your shoulder, just at the crook of your neck in the sensitive spot that he knows you love, remembers even after all these years.
“Been too fucking long, baby,” Eren says, “gonna cum soon.”
You nod into his neck, cunt tightening around him at the prospect of his cum inside you. Just the thought of it sends your mind into orbit; a little fantasy forms in your hazy head of him fucking you like this every night, like he used to, a child with your curls and deep, green eyes-
“Gonna let me cum in this perfect cunt, aren’t you?”
As usual, Eren’s right in line with you– the synchronicity makes you moan again. “Please, please–”
“Gotta cum with me, alright? You can do that for me, can’t you?” You can, you will, but you’re so close to the edge when you try to respond your words are jumbled together. Even so close to his own release, Eren snickers at you. “My sweet girl’s all fucked out, can’t even talk.”
“Need your cum,” you manage, “please, Eren, m’close.”
Years ago, through strenuous games of overstimulation and denial, Eren trained your body to wait for him, you can’t cum unless he does and you know it. Your only option is to beg, hot shame warming your face. Eren remembers, just like you do, it makes him grin, feral and dangerous in the early evening light.
“Need my cum, baby? Needy, so needy, so beautiful,” he’s starting to slur, you know he’ll finish soon, “gonna cum in this perfect cunt of yours, never let you keep it from me again. Maybe I’ll knock you up, hm? Can’t run from me with my baby in you.”
Your watery eyes fly open at that, the logical part of your brain long-quieted, and you moan loud for him again, just the way he likes. Eren’s thrusts have grown sloppy, he’s grabbing you so hard now you know you’ll be left with Eren-shaped bruises on your hips.
Eren finally cums in you with your name on his lips, long and deep, keeping his cock fully seated inside you. It triggers your orgasm, a toe-curling wave of pleasure coursing through your body, straining your sore muscles. Eren’s mouth is pressed against yours and all you can manage is a whimper, feeling his cum warm your pussy, leak out around from where you’re both still joined together.
All the energy’s been pulled from your body now; you slump against his shoulder and whine when he slides out of you. Eren places you gently on the floor, presses a soft kiss to the top of your head before leading you upstairs on shaking legs. It smells like Eren up here, the pricey cologne he favors and the scent of well-loved sweatshirts intoxicating you. There are no words between the two of you as he leads you to the bathroom, helping you sit on the toilet seat as Eren rummages around for a washcloth to clean you.
“We need to go back to the reception,” you say weakly, wincing as Eren rubs the cloth over your cunt.
“What do you think?”
You frown, confused. “About?”
“Us, again,” he’s avoiding your eyes, focusing on his work between your legs. You’re not surprised he waited until you were disarmed to ask, brain still muddled and dizzy.
“Eren–”
“I am different now,” he finally meets your eyes, gaze alight with the burning, too-hot-to-touch love you know so well, the only love Eren knows how to offer, “got a therapist like you were always asking me to. I meditate every day. I’ll be so good to you, you know how good I am.”
He is good to you, you remember it well, your own tendency to flee was what broke you up in the first place. You’d left his heart shattered on the sidewalk of your apartment back in New York City, overwhelmed with commitment and unwilling to give his flaws the same grace he gave yours. You’re opposites: he’s hot where you’re cool, angry where you’re distant, argumentative where you’re cold. You sigh, head feeling heavy on your shoulders.
“Do you know what you’re asking of me? What about the lives we have now?”
“We’d make it work, line our schedules up together” the corner of his mouth curls, you want to kiss him again, “we’re always able to figure something out.”
You hate yourself for it, you want to run from him, get a car to the airport right now. You also want to pull him into your arms, feel his heartbeat against yours, kiss that hesitant smile on his face and never stop. “I…can I sleep on it?”
Eren’s face lights up, a kid on Christmas morning. He’s always been so expressive in these quiet moments; unreadable in a crowded room, but when it’s just you and him, his heart’s always been on his sleeve. He can’t help it. “Yeah, just sleep on it.”
You get yourself as put-together as you can, wipe the mascara from under your eyes, slip the dress back over your shoulders and concede one more kiss to Eren. It’s slow, long and languid, tongues slipping over one another, the desperation now cooled into a sense of homecoming.
You hold hands as you climb the hill back to the reception. Your knees wobble, and it makes Eren laugh, makes you blush. He’s still going on about the villa’s history, and you’re half-listening, admiring the stars above you both. The reception is still going on, albeit a bit more subdued than earlier. Some guests have trickled out, finding their beds, but your friends are still seated around a table, drunk and laughing.
Connie’s the worst, of course, leaning on Jean and regaling everyone with a tale about their Midwestern childhood together; Mikasa’s buried under Clara, who’s sleeping soundly in her lap; Ymir and Historia are alternating between listening and kissing one another; Sasha’s struggling with a corkscrew and a tricky wine bottle, Armin attempting to help her.
Your face warms as all eyes turn to you, rumpled and suspicious and late. Mikasa raises an eyebrow, a knowing smile playing on her face.
“Where have you two been? You missed the garter toss,” Ymir nudges Historia conspiratorially.
“Just touring the grounds,” Eren answers coolly, pulling the empty chair beside Mikasa and offering it to you. You sit, grateful to be off of your shaking legs.
“It’s so beautiful here, thanks for putting us all up…” you accept the glass of wine Armin is offering over your shoulder, tipping it in the happy couples’ direction. Historia murmurs a quiet ‘you’re welcome’, the entire table exchanging knowing glances. You scowl, being left out of a joke is one of your pet peeves. “What?”
Jean grins lewdly. “Nothing, just…I don’t think Eren’s room is as far from the main house as you two think it is.”

June 2023 San Francisco, CA
It's not until you're seated in a booth at the trendy new sushi bar downtown that you begin to doubt your agreement to meet Sarah while she's in town for a work conference. You'd said yes initially, then waffled about it in the coming weeks, and now you're drinking sake to fortify yourself. Your therapist told you it's a bad idea to mix alcohol with reacquaintances, but you're already refilling the ochoko when you look up for a moment and spy Sarah approaching you through the crowded restaurant.
You've never thought about what she might look like. A part of you imagined that you'd be sitting down to dinner with the same kid from twenty years ago. But Sarah has grown up, in her thirties, a successful attorney. And, from what you gathered by spying on Joel's Facebook account years ago, she's also a mother.
"Thank you for meeting me," she says, embracing you the way women always embrace each other, something you never got used to because of you lack of female friends. She smells like expensive perfume, the kind you spray on yourself at Sephora just for fun, and is dressed in a white maxi dress with blue floral print. She looks amazing, and you silently berate yourself for wearing black distressed jeans, a Rolling Stones tee and your lucky red Converse.
"You're all grown up," you remark, a hint of sadness in your tone.
"You look beautiful," she says in return. "You don't even look like twenty years have passed."
Little does she know you spent forty dollars on a concealer to hide your undereye circles, and were talked into spending another twenty on something called a lip oil that makes your lips sticky and tastes like cheap pineapple, which you wiped away on the restaurant napkin as soon as you sat down.
Settling down to small talk, you neglect to look at your menus, annoying the waitress who stops by to take your order three times and ultimately just comes by to refill your drinks.
Sarah lives out east in Boulder, Colorado, practicing law alongside her fiance Theo. They have a son together, ten year old Finn.
"Theo proposed when I got pregnant," Sarah says. "But I wanted us to build a foundation first, construct our little family. And when the time was right, I proposed to him."
She shows off pictures of Finn, sharing the funny and cute anecdotes that parents do, and when she asks about Ellie you do the same: Ellie in the hospital, just hours old, wearing a tiny knitted pink and blue hat as she glowered at the camera; Ellie at four, playing T-ball, one of just two girls on an all-boys team; Ellie at ten winning the school spelling bee.
Being an Army wife gave you the opportunity to see the world, experience things you otherwise wouldn't. Japan, Germany, Italy.. you were happy that Ellie got to experience them too.
But even that couldn't save your marriage to Justin.
There were infidelities on both sides, and when you found out about his, it was almost a relief to discover he was not Nice Justin, just a man who had affairs. In the midst of your own liaisons, you felt vindicated, though the fun wore off easier than it had in your youth.
Filing for divorce was only difficult considering Ellie. Justin didn't fight it, handing over full custody. It was the only part of the process that broke your heart. Now you were just repeating a history of broken families. Once the divorce was finalized it was like throwing up after being nauseous for so long, just good to get it out of your system.
("I kept my married name, just to piss off the new wife," you tell Sarah, who snickers in response. "That's understandable.")
Settling in San Francisco where you like the neighborhood and the schools, life seems easier.
"Ninth grade history," you answer when Sarah asks what you teach. "I introduce Romeo & Juliet to kids who are the same age as those characters."
And now, with the niceties out of the way, there's nothing left to talk about but the past.
You've been dreading it.
"I never apologized for what I did," she says.
You nod, inviting her to continue.
"You probably know this by now, but I was the one who called your mom."
Of course you knew it all along, but hearing it is a different thing.
She got her number from your phone when you weren't around. And, unable to get the picture of you and her dad out of her mind, she dialed it one day and explained to your mom what she saw.
"Why?" you ask.
She averts her eyes a brief moment. "Deep down I always knew there was something going on with you and my dad.. the day of my party when I walked in on you, it was a rude awakening. It's one thing to know something is going on, and another thing to witness it. And later, when you left, I realized I'd taken it too far."
Sarah goes quiet and so do you, despite the chatter in the busy restaurant.
You ask, "Did Joel ever find out it was you?"
She nods. "I told him later.. after he started seeing that awful girl you were friends with."
That part of your life, the bubble of jealousy and despair in which you made your home, seems so long ago. "Hailey," you remind her.
"Yeah.. she didn't last very long. Dad broke things off when he caught her stealing from him.. and when that happened I realized he was just better off with you. But.. by then it was too late."
By then you were already apart. The damage had been done.
"Was he angry at you for what you did?"
Sarah shrugs. "It was a silent kind of angry. You know how he is. We avoided each other for weeks until it became impossible. And by then.. you were gone."
You take a moment to reflect on your memories of Joel. "How is he?"
She smiles, as if she knew or even hoped you'd ask about him. "He's good. He's in Jackson now. Wyoming. Tommy's there with his new wife.."
You shift uncomfortably in your seat. "And, uh.. your stepmom?"
She looks blank for a moment. "You mean Tess? No, they divorced a few years ago. She was nice, it just didn't work out."
You don't know whether to feel sorrow or relief at this fact, but for once you decide to be petty and let the relief take over, hoping he went through a fraction of the pain you endured.
Sarah toys with her salmon roll. "I'm sorry," she says, nodding to herself as if giving herself strength to do it. She looks you in the eye and you catch a glimpse of the girl she used to be. "I'm sorry. For starting everything."
So many times you've imagined what it would be like if you hadn't been found out by anyone else. Would you still have stayed in Austin? Would you and Joel have had more time together?
"It's in the past, right?" You manage a smile, happy that this is out in the open. A part of you feels like a weight is lifted. Things may not have happened the way you wanted, but now you can reconcile the things you can't control anymore.
"This is probably the wrong time to say this," Sarah continues, "but I'd like to invite you and Ellie to my wedding this December, in Jackson. You won't have to worry about airfare or hotels. Theo and I will cover your ticket and.. well, everyone's staying at my dad's. He has a huge house in town, enough for close family. I'd really love it if you would come."
Tumblr media
"Justin, you're really fucking me over, do you know that?" you try to speak as quietly as you can into the phone while laying out outfits for the Jackson trip. "Ellie's going to be brokenhearted. You told her you'd have her the entire two weeks."
On the other line Justin sighs, the new, younger Mrs. Williams can be heard in the background. "I promised Svetlana first. We really need this time together," he whispers as well, likely not trying to instigate another argument with his wife.
You have some choice words for Svetlana, but are interrupted when Ellie quietly walks into the room, well aware that the discussion is about her. "I'll call you back."
"Let me guess.." Ellie sits on the edge of the bed. "I'm not going with Dad for Christmas.."
There's no point in lying to her. She's a sharp kid. "I'm sorry you had to hear that, kiddo. He and your stepmother are taking an extended honeymoon in Malta," you tell her gently.
"You mean Slutlana?"
"What? Ellie, that's rude. Don't say that." You pause. "Don't say that to her face, at least."
She's quiet, and at times like this you regret that she's essentially living the life you lived at fourteen, always wondering when Dad would come back, if he even wanted to spend time with his own child.
"So.. I'm going with you?"
You nod. "Thank god your probation is over. It'd be nice if you paid Marlene a visit, or at least called her," I said, speaking of the parole officer assigned to Ellie after a particular incident. "We should send her some Tiff's Treats or something, she deserves a gift after putting up with your delinquent self." You playfully toss a tee shirt at her.
"Can I say bye to Riley?" she asks, hope evident in her eyes.
"No," you're adamant on this one thing, as lax as you were before the trespassing situation.
"Mom, my probation's over. I'm not gonna get in trouble just for talking to her."
"I don't care. I'm not going by the judge's rules, I'm going by mine." You pause. "You'll just have to come with me to Wyoming."
Tumblr media
Sarah had gone to the trouble of sending a beautifully embossed wedding invitation, done in traditional cream and gold, with photos of the two of them as children, as teens, and one gorgeously done couples photo. Theo's cute, and Sarah seems happy with him.
"Boring," Ellie says in response to the wedding festivities. "Why would anyone want to get married?"
You decide not to give her a response. At her age you didn't understand the fuss about weddings either.
Forgoing Sarah's offer of paying for your flight, you rent a Chevrolet Suburban for the drive over.
"You do realize we'll be driving for over fourteen hours, right?" Ellie says, helping you put the suitcases and bags in the roomy luggage hold.
"Yep. I checked it out on Google Maps."
"What happens if you get tired?"
"We'll drive during the day and find a rest stop or a motel at night," you shrug.
"You know.. I could take over the drive sometimes," she offers.
"Okay, kiddo. Why not?"
She brightens. "Really?"
"Absolutely fucking not." With a smile you open the passenger door and she hops in, grumbling,
Tumblr media
Only so much music can suffice a long ride, and somewhere outside of Reno, Ellie busts out a dog-eared copy of a book Justin had given her as a gag won the spelling bee.
"Oh no, Ellie, for god's sake, not the puns," you whine dramatically.
"Yes, the puns," she grins. "How else am I supposed to spend my time on this boring-ass road trip?"
"Brace yourself. We've only been on the road less than four hours."
She groans, slumping forward in her seat, revived shortly when she decides to recite every single pun in that damn book, and when you give her that Mom look, she simply grins and tells you, "That's what you get for turning down a plane ticket."
Tumblr media
Three days later you arrive. Jackson Hole is picturesque, especially in winter, as it it was just made to be the snowy backdrop on a postcard or a highlight on Instagram.
You turn down the main thoroughfare of the town, a light dusting of snow already falling from the heavens as you peer out the window, frowning in concentration as you try to familiarize yourself with the location. Ellie's buzzing in your ear like a mosquito, singing along to something on the radio. You turn the volume down. "Quiet down, I can't see."
She nearly bursts at the seam with withheld laughter. "You want me to quiet down... because you can't see?" she teases.
"Ellie!" you groan. "We're already late for lunch with the family."
Promising yourself you'll settle in a hotel after what you hope will be a painless reunification with Sarah and the rest of the Millers, you find your destination and drive up a perfectly paved driveway. Joel's house, a craftsman-style facade done in red brick and accented with carved gable peaks, looks exactly like a house Joel would own.
Parking close enough on the curved driveway without blocking in any other cars, you take a moment to rest, stretching your neck and shoulders.
"Should've let me drive," Ellie says from her seat as you both start to disembark.
There's a smart remark on your lips but when you turn to her you're distracted by a figure at the side of the house.
Someone's chopping wood, splitting logs with precision, though not necessarily speed. He's wearing just a white tee shirt, jeans, boots. You let your eyes linger on his physique. Who is that? you wonder.
As if he can hear your thoughts or sense your presence, the figure turns and wipes the sweat off his brow.
You know him in an instant.
Joel.
Your heart feels like it's going into arrhythmia.
"Come on, Ellie," you hurry her up the walk and to the front steps.
"The bags--"
"Fuck the bags." You press the doorbell nervously, willing Sarah or anyone to open quickly.
"You made it!" Sarah practically mauls you as she greets you, giving both you and Ellie a hug.
You're swept inside where it's nice and cozy, the air scented with pine and gingerbread. Christmas garlands are strung over every doorway, along the staircase railing, the windows, and the fireplace.
"Was my dad out there? I told him he needs to start getting ready. I don't want him coming to the luncheon all sweaty," Sarah says.
"What? No. I didn't see anything.. anyone," you stutter.
"I'm happy you're here, because we're actually going to have lunch at the Tipsy Bison instead. It's Tommy's bar, you probably passed it on the way up here."
"Oh, uh.." you're distracted by Ellie precariously sloshing a winter themed snow globe, the thought of Joel is still spinning around in your sleep-deprived brain, and Sarah is still talking to you like you don't look completely zoned out and anxious.
To make things worse, Joel comes in, carrying most of yours and Ellie's luggage. His white tee sticks to his sweaty skin, his face pink with exertion and dewy with sweat, his hair dark with more gray now than ever, and on his beard too. His eyes, those dark depths you've lost yourself in so many times, peer into yours, and for a moment you forget to breathe.
"You left the trunk open," he murmurs, as if it's a quiet admonition, a secret he doesn't want to tell.
"Oh.. thank you. You didn't have to do that." Your nervous glance at him gives your blushing away because you see his face redden as well.
"Dad, can you believe she has a kid now?" Sarah says excitedly.
There's a jolt of fear when you realize father and daughter are going to be in the same room, and neither of them knows it.
"Uh, Ellie, this is Joel Miller. He's, uh, Sarah's dad, and I used to babysit Sarah.. a long time ago.." Being put on the spot, you falter your words.
"Put 'er there, Joel," Ellie says, holding out her hand for him to shake, which Joel does, the start of a tiny smirk on his lips.
"We all lived in Austin together, with your Aunt Sofia. I mean, we didn't live together but we were neighbors," you babble, feeling even more blush creep up your neck. "Way before you were born, kiddo."
Meanwhile Sarah's eyes dart from Ellie to Joel to you, and back again, slower each time, as if she's piecing the puzzle together. Her eyes linger on Ellie, her expression unreadable before settling on you. You quickly glance away.
"Let me take that from you," you motion to the luggage Joel's carrying.
"Nah, I got it. I'll show ya to y'all's rooms." He hefts the suitcases and bags like they're nothing and heads upstairs. You have no choice but to follow him, sneaking a little glance at how his great his ass looks in his jeans.
"Nice place you got here, Joel," Ellie remarks, eyes skyward, surveying the landing at the top of the stairs.
"Thank you," he says quietly. "Do you always address your elders by their given names?"
"Ellie," you whisper harshly. "Mind your manners."
"Damn, sorry," she mutters back.
"Sorry, Joel. She's--"
"Hey, why do you get to call him Joel?"
"Because I'm an adult," you say under your breath.
"He's older than you. Like, a lot. Like, Grandpa Bob's age."
"Stop it," you say through clenched teeth as Joel clears his throat.
"I can put y'all next door to each other--"
"I call this one!" Ellie claims the first door on the left, grabbing her bags and leaving Joel to lead you a little further down the hall.
"'M afraid this one is right across the hall from mine," he mumbles, leading you inside the comfortably decorated bedroom to set your things down.
"Thank you," you murmur, heart thrumming in your chest. This is the first time you've been alone with him in fifteen years. "You.. have a really beautiful home here, Joel."
He looks around, eyes darting anywhere but yours. "Thank you, that means a lot. Built it myself-- well, with Tommy's help."
"Really?" It's hard to pretend you're not impressed. "Must've been a lot of hard work."
"Yeah, it was. But she's sturdy." Joel gives a sturdy pat to the wall, and you can't help looking at his hand, the way his thick fingers splay out against the dark green wallpaper. Those are fingers that used to find their way inside you, curving just so in order for you to come quickly while his lips and tongue worked in tandem to--
Ellie's voice comes from the other room. "Wow! You guys have cable? Do you have HBO?"
"No Euphoria!" you shout back, scoffing when she quiets again.
There are too many questions on the tip of your tongue, too many things you want to say but not when you're so nervous that your hands are shaking. Staying quiet is easier. More awkward, but easier.
The room fills with unspoken words and missed chances as the two of you shift uneasily, not knowing where to start, not knowing if you should start.
"Didn't know ya had a daughter," he grumbles. "Not 'til Sarah told me."
"Yeah. Ellie's.. precocious."
A ghost of a smile graces Joel's lips as he looks at you and for a moment in time you feel eighteen again.
"How old is she?" he asks.
"She turned fourteen this past spring." God, please don't let him do the math, please don't let him do the math.
Instead he gives a low whistle, wears a teasing smile. "You look good for bein' the mom of a teenager. You still look beauti-- still look the same," he finishes.
You're thirty nine now and in possession of all the complexities that come with your age. There's more gray in your hair than you care to admit (which Ellie tells you not to dye because it "looks cool"), and there are a few more pounds on your person and a few more lines on your face than you're happy with, but his compliment warms you nonetheless.
"You look.. good.. too." Jesus, how did this man age like fine wine? If anything, the past two decades only served to make him hotter. It's unfair.
He takes a step forward, his face determined, lips pursed like he's still calculating his decision. "I.. I wanted to say--"
This time Sarah comes up, dressed for the cold, putting on her gray gloves. "Dad, get in the shower already," she scolds him. "I'm taking her and Ellie to the Tipsy Bison. We'll see you there."
Joel's eyes set on you. "I don't mind takin' them."
You open your mouth to speak, even though you have no idea how to respond. "Honestly, I'll drive me and my daughter. And we can get a room in town."
"No way, Jose." Sarah loops your arm through hers. "You're staying with us and that's final. So, will you let me drive you, or do you want to wait for my dad?"
Waiting for Joel.. it seems you've spent the majority of your youth waiting for him.
"Can we go with Sarah?" Ellie asks, solving the problem for you.
Tumblr media
In truth you would have liked a moment to rest, to sleep, to puzzle over the strangeness of the day so far. You're almost a thousand miles from the home you've made after your divorce, under the same roof as the man who changed your life in ways good and bad, harboring a secret from him and his family. Not to mention Ellie's ignorance of her origins.
Sarah herds you and Ellie into the Tipsy Bison, a spacious bar establishment on Main Street, part of the scenery you must have driven by without noticing upon driving into town. Inside is the typical decor you'd expect: neon lights advertising every brand of beer and alcohol you can imagine, taxidermy mounts of bears, bucks, and elk. Pool tables are at the far left, dartboards to the right, a couple of foosball tables as well. There's a stage beyond the pool tables, ready for a band or DJ, a makeshift dance floor in front of it, and colored lights remain still overhead, their brightness dulled and stilled by the daytime.
There's a homey, cozy feeling as you glance around. The bar spreads along the far side beyond a range of tables and booths, boasting a wide variety of booze. Working behind the bar is a face you haven't seen in awhile: Tommy.
He comes out to greet you, his smile and bright and joyful as you've always known him to be, and part of you feels guilty that the last time you were together you'd been drunk, making out next to his truck, after meeting in a bar just like this one.
"Hey you!" He envelops you in a tight hug, and you start to feel better. Bygones are certainly bygones in his case.
"Tommy, it's good to see you again," you smile, pulling away to get a good look at him. "You've hardly aged. What's with you Millers, are you all vampires or something?" You cast a playful look at Sarah, who's bringing her fiance and her son to meet you.
Tommy shrugs, a playful grin on his lips. "You're more than welcome to join our Legion of the Undead," he jokes.
You're introduced to Theo, Sarah's husband-to-be, who's on the quiet side, a contradiction to Sarah who's chattering away about him, and Finn, who's an exact replica of his dad, eyeing you and Ellie with a shy smile.
Ellie manages to find a friend in him as you and the others get to catching up. You're introduced to Maria, Tommy's wife, the roundness of her baby bump just barely showing. She oversees the caterers as they start setting up for lunch. Tommy and Sarah talk about you like you're a part of the family instead of someone who knew them for a summer and changed things forever, even in some small way.
"Sarah tells me this is your place now," you speak to Tommy, who's behind the bar and pouring you a drink.
"Sure is," he says, sliding the drink across the bar to you. "Don't know anyone who orders a gin and tonic in the middle of winter," he says, teasing you.
"I'm eccentric," you smirk, taking a sip of the crisp, slightly bitter drink.
"Should be you behind this bar, Cherry," he winks.
"Oh god, no one's called me that in forever," you groan, doing a quick check on Ellie to find her attempting to play pool with Finn.
"How's business?" you ask him.
"Good, good," he nods. "Just glad to be settin' down some roots, buildin' somethin' for when the baby comes."
"Congratulations," you smile. "You and Maria seem like a good fit."
"Well.. y'know.. can't fuck around forever," he chuckles, then he spots someone at the entrance.
"Hey, brother!" Tommy raises his hand in greeting and you stay still, wishing you could sink down into the ground or better yet, become invisible completely.
The old-fashioned jukebox ends a Fleetwood Mac song and drifts into "Hungry Heart" by Bruce Springsteen starts, the catchy, melancholic combo of piano, drums, bass, guitar and saxophone wafting throughout the bar. You keep your eyes on your drink, willing for all of this to be just a dream, some intrusive thought you've put incredible detail into, prolonging your grief over lost love.
But there he is, a barstool between you, giving you your space while ready to jump up at a moment's notice if you want him closer. Your casual glance gives you away when you stare too long at him, clad in a green flannel shirt, his gray tee peeking beneath. You could swear it's the same flannel shirt you wore at the cabin, in the days when you were younger and carefree, before bad things happened to separate you.
Joel catches your look, lips twitching into a smile as his hands wrap around a glass of whiskey.
"So, what took you away from Boston?" you ask, putting your lips to your drink so you're not tempted to ask too much. It's an attempt to break the awkward silence.
"Lot of things," he mutters, staring into the amber liquid. "But mostly I followed Tommy out here."
"I was in Boston with him for awhile." Tommy shakes his head. "Hated it. I'll never set foot on the East Coast again if I can help it. I came out here, met Maria, started a family."
"And Sarah was already out here, buildin' a life. Just made sense for us all to be together again."
You look at both of them, glad the conversation isn't just between you and Joel. "The house is amazing. Joel told me you both built it."
The look of pride on their faces is endearing.
"We did, and mine too, across the street from his," Tommy adds.
"What happened to the contracting business?"
"We expanded it," Joel answers, a twinkle in his eye though his expression remains serious. "Made a nice chunk of change. Got branches in Oklahoma, Arkansas, even as far as Georgia."
That would explain the six-bedroom house, the fancy week-long wedding rituals that Sarah has joyfully swept you up in, and the catered lunches. The Millers have become quite financially well-off.
You listen to the brothers talk about some of the adventures they've been on, the good and the bad that has passed and ultimately brought them here, with you, once again.
Tumblr media
The lunch spread is impressive: Texas style barbecue of ribs, brisket, and chicken; side dishes of beans, potato salad, grilled corn on the cob, macaroni and cheese, and mouthwatering desserts of pumpkin and pecan pies, cheesecake, banana pudding, and peach cobbler.
You haven't realized how hungry you are until you realize you have to remember to force yourself to eat slower, accidentally spilling a little barbecue sauce on your shirt. Embarrassed, you wipe it away, glancing at Ellie and finding her doing the same thing, just shoveling forkfuls of food in her mouth.
"Easy there," Joel's voice booms from across the table. "No one's gonna take it from ya," he playfully chides.
You were so absorbed in your lunch that you didn't realize he was right across from you. "Ellie," you scold her quietly. "Slow down."
"This is slow for me," she answers.
"Mind your mama," Joel says gruffly, his tone is authoritative.
She looks up at him, in annoyance and surprise. "You don't tell me what to do."
"And you don't talk back like that." Joel's voice gets a little more strict.
"Joel, stop," you intercede, your voice just as terse. The chatter around the table has dimmed but it's obvious everyone has their focus on you three.
"The kid obviously needs some fuckin' manners."
You scoff. "What the fuck is wrong with you?"
His eyes lock with yours, dark and cold. "I see where she gets it from. I guess that's what happens when a dad ain't around to teach some respect."
"Fuck this," Ellie mutters, pushing back from the table and throwing down her napkin, quick to get up and leave.
Your face is flaming red with both anger and embarrassment as your gaze burns through Joel's. "There's something wrong with you. Seriously," you mutter before getting up to go after her.
Joel goes after you. Sarah goes after Joel.
"Ellie!" you call out, watching her walk off in the direction of the house.
"I'll get her," Sarah volunteers, gently touching your arm. And then you hear her speak to Joel under her breath, something like "You're ruining it," before she hurries up to catch Ellie.
It's you and Joel now.
"Babygirl," he starts, his voice low.
"Babygirl?? Fuck you!"
Joel goes pale, obviously not expecting that. "I deserve that. I deserve for you to hate me."
"Hate you? No, you deserve worse than for me to hate you! How dare you yell at Ellie like that? I never once saw you treat Sarah that way."
"She never acted like that," he huffs.
"Do us both a favor and just stay away from us for the rest of the week. I'll see about getting a motel tonight, just.. fucking leave us alone."
He mutters Christ, and reaches for you, pulls you to the side of the building. "I'm sorry, all right?"
"Yeah? Tell her that." You could easily leave. He's not restraining you, but you stay. "Is that all you have to apologize for?"
He looks guilty. "No, of course not. I've been trying to talk to you since you got here--"
"Fifteen goddamn years and I don't hear anything from you? And now you.. what, you expect me to fall into your arms like I'm a stupid fucking teenager again? Go to hell! Nothing is that simple anymore!"
You hadn't meant for all your rage to come spilling out, it was just supposed to be about Ellie, but now that you're face to face with him, you can't help wanting to rage at him. Joel backs away from you, his eyes on the ground, hands on his hips, jaw set.
"Longer than that, actually," you softly correct yourself. "San Antonio.. you fucking left me. On my birthday."
He steps forward, not ready to back down. "I went to jail for you. On my birthday."
"I didn't ask you to do that! I didn't ask for anything but for you to love me! And you stopped!"
"No, I didn't," he whispers, arms hanging at his side even though they itch to reach out for you, hold you, make it better again.
"Don't say that," you warn him, backing away. "Don't insult my intelligence, Joel. You don't know what I went through after you left me. My heart was broken for years!"
"You were just a kid. I.. I thought I was doin' right by lettin' you go."
"I wasn't better because of you breaking up with me. I got worse! So much worse!" You don't dwell a lot on the past, specifically the college years that are now mostly a blur of hookups and hangovers, but now it all comes rushing back. Joel was your safety net and he took all that away from you once you started to freefall.
"Bullshit. You got married," he says bitterly.
"I did that so I could feel normal again. I tried to save myself. But it didn't matter in the end because he didn't love me either. Though I have to say, my divorce hurt a hell of a lot less than your abandonment."
Joel starts to look his age. The lines in his face deepen with worry and regret as he absorbs your words, mulling over everything that has happened. "I'm sorry--"
"Besides, you got married too! So please don't play like you're such a saint. You hardly look the part." Your anger has warmed you, given some spice to your blood so that you don't even feel the cold anymore. You roll your sleeves to your elbows, fists curled, adrenaline pumping as you finally tell him everything that's been locked away inside your heart.
"I don't accept your apology," you grunt, adding, "And don't ever yell at our daughter like that ever again!" You storm off, wishing you'd brought your jacket but it would mean having to walk past Joel, back into the restaurant and out again, and you're already walking away. It seems one of you is always walking away from the other.
It's snowing again when you find Sarah and Ellie, further down in front of a storefront, steaming cups of hot chocolate in their hands. Both are smiling, chatting, seemingly getting along. You know you should reprimand Ellie, tell her to apologize to Joel, but how can you be a hypocrite that way when you won't even talk to him yourself? All you can think about is leaving, going straight to the motel and picking up your things at Joel's later.
Tumblr media
Sarah talks you into staying, warning of bad weather coming in soon. She apologizes for Joel, and you apologize for airing your grievances so publicly.
"Just don't do it at the rehearsal dinner tomorrow," she smirks. "Then I'll have to leave your ass out in the snow."
That evening you and Ellie keep to your rooms. You use your phone for distraction when your attention span keeps drifting from your novel, but even technology isn't the answer. There's only so much Merge Mansion you can play, and not even True Detective can hold your attention for long. You decide to rewatch Narcos (for the plot, you tell yourself) when Ellie knocks on your door.
"What's up, kiddo?" You press pause and scoot over on the bed, offering her to get comfy next to you.
"Have you seen the news?"
You're on Do Not Disturb and haven't gotten any of your usual notifications.
"There's a blizzard coming tonight. Sarah says sometimes the main roads get snowed in and we won't be able to get out."
Oh Sarah Miller, the purveyor of bad news. "She told me something like that. How long do they expect conditions to last?" You're already checking your phone.
"Could be days, maybe even up to a week," Ellie shrugs.
"Great," you mutter. "So we're stuck here even after the wedding?" It's the day after tomorrow.
"Please don't make us go to the motel. Sarah's really cool and really nice. And I even like Theo and Finn.. even Joel isn't so bad so long as he stops talking to me like a dad."
Tumblr media
That night, as the blizzard blows in, turning everything outside completely white, Joel tosses in his sleep in his room across the hall from yours. It's not the howling winds keeping him awake; he's lived here long enough to get used to such natural disasters.
There's something you said to him, earlier outside the bar. It was an explosive moment, with words exchanged like bullets. But in the midst of it all he took away that one sentence: don't ever yell at our daughter like that ever again.
Our daughter?

Sugar Daddy!Daniel Ricciardo x Fem!Reader Part 3
The Arrangement Masterlist
Formula 1 Masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the last few months since Italy, you and Daniel started talking more
It started with simple good-morning texts and then led to him texting you before you ended up going to bed at the end of the day
You knew that while it was morning for you, it was night for him
Morning Babe you would wake up to see on your phone
Good evening Danny you would text back
Your arrangement with Daniel was going well
You started to charge your monthly rent onto the card that Daniel gave you and made sure to make a note of Rent in the information box
That was really the only thing you had been using the card for
And then you went out to dinner with your friends and thought, I can use Daniel's card to cover dinner. It's not a big deal.
A week after that a large bouquet of flowers and a small orange Hermés box got delivered to your door
It was addressed to you and with it a card in Daniel's handwriting
To my girl,
Hey babe just wanted to check in aside from our normal daily texts to one another
Hope you got the rest of your Holiday gifts from me
(You had, Daniel had ended up getting you the matching pair of Earrings that went with the Van Cleef necklace he bought you, and a new 16-inch MacBook Pro since you had told him that the old one that you started college with was on its last legs)
I'm going to be coming into town after the New Year and I want you to come out with me for the night. It's just with some friends, a casual thing, so save the Dior for when I next take you out on the town like you deserve.
I'll text you when my flight gets in.
- Danny Ric
You had gone out with Daniel like this before, but it wasn't with his friends
It was a sponsorship thing for the team that he was driving for. From the moment you entered that room, you had never seen so much orange in one place before.
Being with Daniel and investing the type of time with him that you did, didn't leave you a whole lot of room for any type of romantic relationship. Your "Romantic relationship" in the oddest sense was with Daniel. It felt like you were dating him in every way aside from the fact that it never went further than a dinner.
Every once in a while, in the first year of your arrangement, you noticed that you would let yourself slip a little when it came to him.
You would clutch at his suit jacket as you walked on crowded streets. Daniel's warm hands would hold yours while you sat at dinner together. You even could swear that at times you felt his eyes dropping to your lips.
It never went further than a few touches here and there, as if he was always keeping you at arm's length
You pushed the thought away reaching for the orange Hermés box, it was small, probably another piece of jewelry
In the box ended up being a bangle with the Hermés Kelly type lock, you quickly undo the clasp and put it on your wrist with the growing collection of designer bracelets that he's bought you
Daniel always appreciated you sending him photos of the things he bought you. He loved seeing you use them as if they were more than common day objects
Growing quite the collection there, You receive later on in the evening just after your dinner arrived
Once every two weeks you would order yourself dinner with Daniel's card. It was more so that he knew that you were using it consistently and not just for the big-ticket items that you couldn't normally afford yourself.
They're amazing, you sent back.
Got to keep my girl in style until I can see that pretty face again, You couldn't help the blush that reached your cheeks.
Daniel had grown bolder since Italy, he was freer with compliments and you loved that he thought of you as his, in whatever way suited him.
When Daniel finally came into town, he texted you the day that his flight got in. It was late in the evening and you were just about to order yourself dinner after a long day on campus.
All day you had been telling yourself, four more months and then graduation. It was as if school was never-ending.
Seeing Daniel's name show up on your phone screen made things seem easier, you could be carefree with him since the way he lived his life made you think less about yours
Hey babe, flight just got in
Still up for coming out on Saturday?
Being with Daniel on a weekend was something that you really needed right now
With you? Always.
As soon as you sent that you wanted to delete it. But didn't because you knew that Daniel would have seen that it said deleted message.
Saturday came faster than you thought it would
Daniel texted you around 2 pm that he would be picking you up around 8 and to dress casually for dinner
You got dressed leaving some of the jewelry from your stack of bracelets at the apartment, taking only two of the bracelets that Daniel bought you to dinner, a black dress that you had worn out to dinner with friends before, a black clutch, and heels, and then your thick pea-coat.
Daniel texted you when he was downstairs, and when you got into the town car, you greeted him by kissing him on the cheek
He looked a little surprised by that, or maybe he was surprised that you did it before he had a chance to
Dinner with his friends had gone well, they were all nice and were as dressed up as you were, and you didn't feel out of place with them. Daniel's friend Scotty and his wife Chloe spent most of the evening talking to you, Daniel kissed your cheek before he went to the restroom and then once again when he came back
You liked being around Daniel's friends, they were fun to be around
A few of Daniel's friends said that they were going to head out to a bar, and Daniel had declined saying that both of you had an early morning tomorrow and needed to head home
You never let his friends see that you weren't aware of his plans
When you both got into the town car, both of you fell into an easy conversation. At first, talking about dinner and his friends. And then the car pulled up to your apartment building.
"Do you want to come up?" You asked him.
You could see the hesitation in his eyes. "You sure?" He replied.
You gave him a nod.
Letting Daniel into your apartment made your nerves rise rather quickly. You didn't expect anything to happen.
When Daniel stepped foot into the apartment, you could see his eyes running all over the living room. It wasn't the biggest apartment or in the best condition but you had moved in your junior year and back then couldn't afford anything better.
You offered him a drink before you both sat on the couch, it creaked under Daniel before he placed his feet on the coffee table that had seen better days.
Daniel ended up leaving around 1 am, but as he walked out your door you could see that behind his eyes there was a question that he wanted to ask you. You had gotten really good at seeing the intentions behind his eyes.
Just before graduation came around you saw Daniel again, and he asked you again about possibly getting you an apartment, he would cover everything. You felt like you were taking advantage of him but couldn’t stop yourself from giving in and saying yes.
You moved into the fully furnished apartment just after graduation
Daniel showed up the day after with a bag of pastries and drinks from that coffee place that you like
You ended up on the plush couch talking before Daniel reached into the pocket of his baggy jeans and ended up placing the second key to the apartment in your hands. He told you that the realtor had given him the other one since his name was on the lease. You looked at it for a moment before giving it back to him.
"Just in case," You said, and he gave you a wide smile back.

If You Cared (Part 1) | mv1
Tumblr media
It's been years since you've indulged in a vacation. What better time is there than summer? Your family, the beach house in Italy-it seems perfect. But, for things to be just like good old times, your family needs to invite his. So of course you are having mixed feelings as the boy who broke your heart re-enters your life like nothing happened. Warnings: None Pairing: Max Verstappen x Reader Word count: 2.1k Poetry style | Story style A/n: Hello! This story came to me as soon as I saw this request. I got so many ideas and I'm actually super excited to keep writing this. There will be more parts to follow, so keep a look out. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy! Part One|Part Two|Part Three|Part Four|Part Five
Tumblr media
You always longed for the familiarity of summer.
It was by far your favorite season. Something about the warmth, the life, the atmosphere, the memories-something about it all brought you comfort. You were head over heels in love with summer. Or perhaps it was just more exciting this year knowing that you would go on a real vacation for the first time in a long while. “Let’s visit the beach house this year,” your mom had suggested. “Sure there is probably some dust in the corners, but it’s nothing we can't sweep off.”
When thinking of summer memories, the beach house in Elba, Italy, was the primary setting for all of them. From the time you were born until the time you moved out, your family would spend a handful of weeks there, drinking up the sun and inviting friends to visit. You learnt to swim in the pool behind the summer house. You learnt to cook in the kitchen of the summer house. You had your first kiss in the living room of the summer house. Right, that. Something you preferred not to think or talk about.
“Mom!” you wrapped her in a hug the second you could. After moving away from home to pursue work, you rarely saw her in person. You rarely had time to cook yourself dinner let alone come home. It would be nice to get away for a month-just you, your mom, your dad, your brother and sister and the Italian shores of Elba.
“How was your flight, my baby?” She asked, pulling your backpack from off your shoulders.
“Which one? The one from New York to Florence or the one from Florence to Elba?” As a child you always made a fuss about how secluded Elba was. It’s a small, mountainous island off the west coast. A small airport, no larger than the biggest grocery store in town, was all they had to offer. They didn’t take commercial flights from New York. Nope, you had to get on a small, ten person airplane with five other people and fly over that way. It was nostalgic, truly.
Your mom rolled her eyes. “Still dramatic as ever.”
You shrugged, a smile stamped on your face. “What can I say?”
“Let's go, your dad is at home making dinner. It should be ready when we arrive.”
Your heart felt so full, so satisfied. You felt like a child again, like a little girl viewing the world from innocent eyes. Your mom was carrying your backpack, your dad was making dinner. You wondered if they’d offer to tuck you in at night. This is what you needed the most, and you didn’t even realize it until you were in the passenger seat of your mom’s rental car, watching the coast of the island roll by in the dimming sun. New York was busy. It was loud and dirty. Elba was quiet. It was beautiful and clean.
This summer, you told yourself. I’m not going to have a single worry, not a single care in the world.
“The Verstappen’s are coming by next week.”
You almost choked on your food. “What did he just say?” Dinner on the patio was already off to a ravishing start.
You don't notice it-too busy dabbing the corner of your mouth with a napkin-but your mother swatted at your brother who held a smirk on his lips. He knew it would bother you and he also knew that mom hadn’t told you yet. He loved being the bearer of bad news. He loved pestering his older sister.
“You know, Max’s family?” He pushed on. “The boy who left you for cars-”
“Luca.” Your mom cut him off. “Enough.”
Silence hung over the table like it was a light fixture. Your dad and sister said nothing and you knew it was because those two were in favor of the Verstappen’s coming to stay. Hell, your dad was probably the one to extend the invitation. You knew your sister would back him up because she loved Victoria-the younger sibling of the two Verstappen children. Your brother obviously didn’t care. He idolized Max and his racing. It seemed like your mother was the only one on your side.
“Was nobody going to tell me until Max knocked on our front door one day?” You asked, cutting at the food on your plate.
“Max probably won't even be able to make it,” your mother tries to reassure you. “The only ones who have confirmed it are Sophie and Victoria. Ooh-Victoria is bringing the babies so that should be fun-”
“Are you just trying to calm me down, mom?” Again, the silence made itself known. You spoke first, shaking your head with an upside down smile. “You know what? I don’t care. Max or not, I’m here to have a good summer. No childhood crush or-”
“Childhood boyfriend who broke your heart.” Your brother corrected you. You kicked him from under the table, exerting an ouch from him.
“No childhood drama is going to interfere.” You finished.
“She's gone crazy.” Your sister whispered to your dad. You kicked her too.
“I’m going to have a good summer. Nobody will ruin that for me.”
And in the beginning, you did have a good summer. You spent your first full day in Elba catching up on jet lag. When you finally decided to roll out of bed at two pm, you went to the beach with your sister. The two of you had a chance to catch up, sitting on the sand with a small array of fruits to eat while you spoke. The weather was perfect, the ocean was calming, and you were reminded of how much you loved your younger sister.
“What did you do for the big twenty-two?” You asked, referencing her birthday that had preceded about three weeks prior.
She shook her hand, the grapes in her palm shifting. She picked out a bruised one, adding it to a small pile of other undesirable fruits. “Went out with some friends. I had an exam due that day though, so most of it was spent in my room working on that.”
College. Something you tried your hardest to avoid. All was futile, though. After only a few weeks in New York you realized you’d need it. “Sounds fun. Were you mad you had to leave all your friends for the summer?”
“No,” She popped a grape in her mouth. “I was excited to come back to the beach house.”
“Me too.”
“Can I start a conversation without you getting mad at me, y/n?”
You sighed. “If you start by saying that, then no.”
“How are you going to react if Max really does show up on Monday?”
It was your turn to search through the handful of strawberries you had. One strawberry had a large hole. The rest looked fine, you thought. Max. Right, that's where the conversation was. Max Verstappen. Your first crush, your first kiss, your first-boyfriend? Was it ever that? Really, you didn’t know what it was and what it wasn’t. He was Max, and you were y/n. That was all the facts you knew surrounding the two of you.
“I’ll be nice. I have no reason not to be.” You finally responded.
Your sister peeled her sunglasses off her face. She looked at you amusingly through her brow. “No reason? Really?”
A shrug lifted your shoulders. “What? Max and I were never dating.”
“Sixteen-year-old you would say otherwise.”
“Sixteen year old me was delusional.” You looked at the ocean in front of you. You were just a delusional child, right? Max was your first kiss. Max was your biggest crush. Max did break your heart. It’s pretty damn hard to break someone's heart when you’re not together, no? “I don’t care about Max anymore. If he comes, he comes. If he doesn’t? Then so be it. I really don't care, Mia.”
“Alright,” She said dismissively. “I guess we’ll find out.”
The two of you wouldn’t find out for another five days. During your time-waiting for the possible arrival of Max and his mom and sister-you explored the city, you occupied the beaches, you read some books, you went out on the boat with your brother and dad. Life was calm. There were no obligations you had to fill, no tasks at hand, no work to be done. It was you, the Italian sun, the ocean and the breeze. You seriously considered moving there. Mom would let you have the beach house, right? How could she say no to the oldest?
All was good. All was calm.
“Max is here, y/n!” Luca swung open the patio door, yelling at you with a smirk. You were lying on a lounge chair next to your sister-the both of you only wearing swimsuits as you tried to tan. “He’s a fine specimen.”
You picked up your hat from the ground and threw it at your teenage brother. “Fuck off, Luca.”
“I’m serious! Max, Victoria and Sophie are here.”
You looked over at your sister. “Go inspect.” You instructed her.
She groaned, standing up from her chair and wandering inside, not before slapping Luca on the back of the head, however. The two of them shut the door, a waft of cold air swiping across your body before disappearing. There was soft music playing from a speaker near the pool. If a car pulled up, you wouldn’t have been able to hear it. Maybe they were here, but was Max seriously with them? Did you want him here? Would it actually be easier without him here or did you want some fun this summer? Did drama entertain you? Maybe you just wanted something nice to look at while you were here.
The back door slid open. You were lying face down, the sun warming your back. You didn’t bother looking up, assuming it was Mia coming to deliver the news to you. It would be better if she didn’t see your face while telling you. Maybe you would be disappointed at the answer-whatever it may be. “Well? Is he here?” You asked, voice muffled by the lounge chair.
“Is this your hat?”
You looked up so quickly that you pulled a muscle in your neck. “Fuck.” You whispered to yourself, rubbing your fingers over the pain. Did you curse to yourself because Max was standing right infront of you, your ball cap balancing off his index finger, or because of the pain? Both, you decided. It was for both reasons.
“I’ll leave it,” He set it on the table next to you. “Here.”
“Thanks.” You readjusted yourself, sitting up on the edge of the chair. He definitely got a much better view of you than he was hoping for. You were older now, almost by ten years. Sixteen year old you and twenty five year old you looked a lot different. He figured that out pretty quick.
“Good to see you, y/n.” He smiled before turning on his heel to go back inside. His back was broad, his shoulders looked stiff. He had some stubble, but it suited him. He looked-good? No. Stop thinking like that. He probably had a girlfriend or something. He was a rich, famous, Formula One driver. No way he was single walking around looking like that.
“Right.” Nobody was around to hear you say it. So, nobody was around to hear you follow it up with, “What the fuck.”
Hesitantly, you picked up your ball cap, slipping your ponytail through the back. You walked inside, scanning the room before making any more steps forward. Mia and Victoria were in the living room. Sure enough, Victoria had brought her two children and husband. Mia was emitting plenty of ‘aww’s’ and ‘that is so cute’s’. Max was bringing luggage in through the front door. Great, they're planning on staying. Your brother shot you a smirk from where he sat at the kitchen bar. Told ya’ so.
“Max, how’d you manage time off from F1?” Your mother asked.
“It’s summer break,” He said matter-of-factly. “I don’t race again until late August.”
“So you’ll be here for the three weeks you mother and sister will be?”
Please say no, please say no, please say- “I plan to, yes.”
The sliding door snaps behind you as you let go of it. Everyone turns to look at your bikini clad figure. Victoria exchanges a concerning glance with your sister. Victoria’s husband looks at her, confused as to why there is such a thick tension in the air.
“Y/n, go shower and get dressed, we’re all going to dinner in a bit.” Your mother said, her lips pressing into a thin smile.
