Q: Talking about darkness, what makes you fascinated by darkness?

A: I wouldn't say I'm fascinated by darkness, but I feel that darkness pulls me in, draws me in. Since I was a kid, I've been into horror comics a lot. I remember the first comic series my mom bought for me was called School Ghost Stories. I don't know if it's still available. It had about 12-13 volumes, I can't remember. It was a collection of short horror stories, somewhat similar to Junji Ito's works. It was something that always left a strong impression on me every time I read it. After finishing it, I would look for more horror stories to read, a lot of different ones.

My mom liked them too; she would buy them, and some were really terrifying (laughs). About witches or named "Survival," or something like that. So, I started getting into reading horror comics. Every time I went for karaoke, every Sunday, I would buy several comics and read them at home. Four volumes every Sunday.

Eventually, it became like I was addicted to the vibe of darkness. This complexity and profoundness it's within us without me being aware of it. Then it comes out in my musical works and performances all the time, without being aware. I feel like it's just me. It's something I consume, and then it becomes a part of me. (x)

yeah 2023 wasn't always fantastic but growing is so much better than being stagnant. i might have the worst year of my life ahead, you never know, but at least I got over my first love & opened myself and my heart to other people. if i die tomorrow at least i did the scariest thing i'll ever have to do, come out to my parents. maybe i'll get kidnapped next week or i'll get a fatal illness but you know what! i'll never cry myself to sleep again in fear of my parents' reaction to the truth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is worth so much more than a comfortable un-painful year

Tbh as satisfied as I am with how Season 3 ended, and how I do want a Season 4 but not necessarily needing it, a small part of me is glad that Hannibal ended the way it did because if it had continue on till the very end, the true ending would've been much more soul-crushing than the one we got and honestly I don't know if I would be able to cope with it lmao.

Like it's pretty clear that a story like Hannibal would not have a happy ending. At most, it'd be bittersweet, at worst, it would fucking destroy all our hearts. The open-endedness and rather hopeful ending of TWOTL is a much kinder conclusion than whatever was originally planned.

look man it's nice to have stories abt good people doing good things and the bad guys get punished and the good guys get rewards and everything is lovely at the end. but i so need stories that show off horrible and dark and taboo parts of our society and our souls and nothing good is achieved and i need to eat them all rn

And I think I'm pretty self indulgent, that I suppose most stuff I write is my guilty pleasures ??? Just straight up tons of angst, if not whump, I honestly adore, haha! Gimme a protagonist suffering a burden they never asked for, learning to lean on others, and I will drag them into some new kind of misery istg. Even my more comedic stuff, someone is suffering in some way, hehe. Also time travel / time loop angst. It's so good. The sudden change to everyone else while they slowly lose their shit? GOLD!

But, there's def more specifics, like: the trope of characters turning evil has me in a choke hold like nothing else, usually. Whether that's like alternate universe, magical artifact, what have you, I will be re-watching whatever episodes/chapters those are with glee. I guarantee I have watched every aired episode of Spider-Man's venom arc in any animated series, except for 1994 series. Like, I said, choke hold. (The best arc is in Specular Spider-Man, which should not be surprising.) OH, AND truth serum. Classic, stunning, iconic. Also if a character has a destiny/role/responsibilities they suddenly reject, I am sat. When they choose themselves and healing >>>>> .

Also, usually just like, evil/villainous cartoon women has me giggling and kicking my feet when they're on screen. Twirling my hair as we speak. Especially if they have a temper. Oh, and I usually don't like shipping but like...freak for freak. Whatever Hannibal and Will got going on from Hannibal series? Incredible. Utterly compelling. It's not a romance but it also is, if you think about it, but also beyond that.
