I'm seeing a lot of people say that punk fashion is expensive and inaccessible, which is very wrong. here is a list of some ways you can make punk fashion easier, cheaper and more accessible for you, since that's... kinda the whole point.

others are encouraged to add onto this!! (just don't recommend corporations like amazon. not cool.)

1. patches!! you don't need to buy them. DIY patches are not ugly or boring. in fact, they are encouraged here!! DIY, in my opinion, is always the best thing to do when it is an option and is safe to do so.

2. speaking of DIY, spikes!! you can make them!!

cut the top and bottom off of an empty can. cut down the middle of the cylinder and flatten it, so it's just a flat rectangle of metal.

cut out a shape that is kind of a third of a circle, but around 3/4 of the curved edge is taken up by triangle shapes. (I'm not very good at describing, so here's a badly drawn picture)

roll it into a cone, leaving the 4 triangles sticking out at the bottom. this bit is optional, but you can fill it with hot glue to make it more sturdy, just be careful touching the hot metal. I tend to hold the cone by one of the triangles with a bit of fabric wrapped around my fingers for this bit. cut 4 small holes in your fabric in this kind of shape:

and put the spiky bits of triangle through the holes. fold the triangles in on themselves to secure the spike in place. boom. spike obtained. this is one I made and attached to a little piece of fabric to test this method out:

3. battle vests!! (like the base jackets). the best places to buy these are charity shops and second hand websites in my opinion, but if anyone else knows any better options, please reblog with those!!

a good trick I find works well on eBay is to filter search results to your country (or state? can you do that in the US? idk) so that a: fast delivery because local, and b: all the sellers of everything that shows up are in YOUR TIME ZONE.

why is this important? when people sell something for really cheap, it goes FAST. check eBay at like, 2am or something. all the scalpers in your area are asleep. grab the cheap stuff while they can't.

4. sewing!! want patches, but can't sew for whatever reason? I've heard of a lot of people with joint conditions like arthritis complain about the inaccessibility of patch stuff, and that does sound extremely annoying, however:

safety pins!! while they are still a little fiddly, they're much less work so you don't have to fiddle about for long. if you can, you could even ask a friend to help, since it doesn't take long at all I'm sure someone will be willing to help out!! (I know I would, but that's just me, and I love this kind of thing). safety pins on clothes are also widely considered to be a symbol of solidarity, so if anything, you're adding some extra love and meaning to your patch pants/battle jacket.

if that's still too fiddly, fabric glue is always an option. unfortunately this means you won't be able to remove/reposition patches, at least without leaving a massive patch of residue, but if you're ok with that then fabric glue is probably your best bet.

for people who prefer sewing: as for where to get the thread, I've heard a lot of people recommending dental floss, as it's apparently much cheaper and works just as well. I haven't tried this myself so can't confirm that, but I thought I'd share it regardless.

5. where to get fabric!! old clothes. rip em up. you don't need any kind of fancy fabric from the craft store. my patches are made of old jeans that I grew out of.

don't have any old clothes and you don't want to waste any good ones? I'm not sure about other countries, but in the UK, as long as you're not on private property (trespassing), dumpster diving is perfectly legal.

I definitely ;) do NOT encourage ;) trespassing rich people's land ;) to steal from their dumpsters ;)

or tbh it doesn't matter too much how rich the person is, since it's all going to landfill anyway. if it's in the bin, it's free game, but you didn't hear that from me. ;)

Getting Ready With J (Headcanons)

*Inspired by this post

‣ Notes: Besides the rare occasion of J spreading some daytime chaos across the city of Gotham, most of his work would be done at night. Because of that, I don't think he would always feel the need to put on his makeup early in the day if he's just gonna be at home—especially after he's reached a point of being able to drop his mask around you (literally & figuratively). That said, I can see this situation playing out in 2 different ways...

« Scenario 1: » ♡ He and you get ready together in the morning/afternoon.

‣ Maybe you have work or some errands to run, or you're simply getting ready to spend the day lounging comfortably at home.

‣ As for J, he has some important "business" to attend to.

‣ The two of you start by brushing your teeth together, J trying to make you laugh the whole time just to watch you struggle not to spit toothpaste everywhere. He gets a good kick out of this, a shit eating grin on his face as he continues to brush his teeth.

‣ You both share the counter space, your self-care items scattered around as you carry on with your routines. There are very little words spoken during this time, but you still communicate through your own secret language; sometimes being able to read each other's minds just by sharing a simple glance.

‣ You both know each other's routine so well that you hand each other the items you need next before either of you ask for it.

‣ On days where J is particularly clingy, he's glued to your side, having such a strong need to be touching you at all times—even if this means just barely touching arms while you get ready in the mirror.

‣ If your daily routine includes brushing your hair, he totally enjoys doing this for you. So much so that he's now in the habit of grabbing your brush and gently running it through your hair while you do something else. He often takes a little longer than necessary, but that's only because he loves to feel the beautiful texture of your hair.

‣ You sneakily give each other occasional kisses on the cheek or anywhere your lips can reach as you continue getting ready. You always love to see the small blush that creeps over J's bare face in the mirror after you've given him a smooch and maybe a gentle caress on his back that just happened to drift a bit lower 😉

‣ Sometimes you play music together while you get ready. A playlist of songs both you and him like. He loves it when you sing or dance to your favorite songs, or even to some of his favorite songs that have started to grow on you too. If you're quick about it, you might be able to catch him looking at you fondly through the mirror just before he looks away and pretends to be focused on something else. Depending on his mood that day, you might get to hear him hum along to some songs as well.

‣ If you wear makeup, you also do this part together. If not, you sit on the counter or hug him from behind while he does his own (he much prefers the latter).

‣ If you ask, he'll definitely let you do his makeup for him. He loves to just sit back, relax, and soak up your touch during this time. He particularly enjoys the part where you draw the smile over his lips and scars with red lipstick and the concentrated look on your face while you do it.

‣ Beware to makeup wearers, Jack will steal your red lipstick if he's suddenly run out or lost his! And he's definitely not gentle with his application. But it's alright, he'll steal buy you a new one!

‣ If you choose to sit back and watch, you'll witness him create his personal masterpiece with nothing but some lipstick, greasepaint, and his fingers. He only uses one brush and that is to dab on a little bit of setting powder at the end (a trick he learned, thanks to you), though if he's in a rush, he'll sometimes skip this part. After doing it for so long, it takes him less than 5 minutes. But he'll often go slower just so he can spend some extra time with his love.

‣ When he's all done, he chases you out of the bathroom, threatening to cover your face with sloppy red kisses. In the end, he settles for a small peck on the lips before the two of you part ways for the day.

« Scenario 2: » ♡ Darkness has settled over Gotham city, which means it's time for J to clock in.

‣ You're already settling down for the evening when J gets up and makes his way to the bathroom. You're right on his tail, following in his footsteps. He smirks when he realizes and playfully comes to a halt, just to get you to bump into him. When you whine/pout over this, he coos teasingly at you and gives you a kiss on the forehead before taking your hand and leading you the rest of the way there.

‣ You perch yourself on the counter or the toilet while he sits in a chair in front of the mirror. You watch him work, admiring the focused look in his eyes and the way he contorts his face to apply the paint to his skin.

‣ He occasionally glances over at you and scoffs at the heart-eyes you're giving him.

‣ Don't you dare give him a flirty compliment unless you want to see him roll his eyes and brush it off all while trying to hide his flustered smile (do it, do it, do it).

‣ The two of you talk about whatever is on your minds and J finds himself lingering on the black around his eyes for far longer than usual just to keep listening to your sweet voice.

‣ Once again, if you ask, he'll let you finish his makeup for him. This time he'll have you sit in his lap while you do it, giving your thighs a light squeeze and running his thumbs over your soft skin.

‣ Upon finishing, you press a little kiss to the tip of his nose and fix his hair a bit. He watches you with a soft smile tugging at the corners of his lips, reaching up to cup your face in his hands. You stop what you're doing as he pulls you in for a kiss that speaks on behalf of words left unspoken.

♡ J loves you. And he cherishes these little moments with you more than you know.

E-EXCUSE ME?! (That drawing also made me think of how Ludwig's eyes were growing on his right shoulder too, so it could really be Moon's side effect but) EXCUSE ME! This theory sounds SUPER interesting?? So you think there were many Dolls mass-produced, and the one we meet in the Hunter's Dream is just one that "survived"? Or like what? Can you please elaborate, this sounds like a really unique take?

Oh you mentioned it on your reblog but yeah it is reminiscent of Ludwig! It's also really interesting how he's the only beast that obtain additional eyes... but instead of being in his head it create another head- ok anyway we'll talk about it another day let's go winter lanterns theory! XD

This time I will "try" to not divague too much on all the other theories & interpretations I know/have or we'll still be on it tomorrow 😂(sorry I failed)

Because if you ask me seriously what I think are the winter lanterns well I don't know 💀 I'm not sure at all what the hell are they, why they're here and how they came to life. I have/know tons of possible ideas. I guess for a fic I could choose but canonically I really don't know what they are for sure. (I won't be referencing the demake versions that is really cool btw or the comics ver because I haven't read it yet!)

So well I think everyone who played Bloodborne know what this abomina- I mean enemy is.

They have a part of the doll body (form, clothes, wooden joints hands and fingers like the doll) they're made are made of messengers and have eyes (like mensis brain) and inflicted frenzy like the giant brain. + they have those horrible little jaws... and they sing this...

I'm unsure some say it's Mergo's lullaby other said it's the hunter dream music, some said it's neither... so if someone know... because really idk. It's beautiful yet disturbing. the voice is too deep and distorded.

(Did you know the doll was supposed to hum a lullaby in her sleep? When she nap there's black corner on the screen like there's a dialogue but there's nothing, it's the last thing remnant of this cut content. it's actually in ver 1.00 apparently)

They can be found in the nightmare frontier (3 of them I think), the nightmare of mensis (5?) and the fishing hamlet (2) in the hunter's nightmare (dlc). (Ok 10 of them, add the doll 11, add Maria 12, like the 12 hours of a clock. COINCIDENCES?!?! cough couch sorry yes it's probably the case but still hahah it's funny)

Ok so about the theory I was referencing here and referenced once in a while. I originally saw it on reddit but sadly I can't find the link anymore 😞

Basically, the original speculation said that the winter lanterns could have been created by Mensis (eventually healing church), to take care of Mergo, if I remember well. And then they become corrupted by the nightmare.

After thinking about this and other theories I read concerning the doll (that she could have been created by healing church originally and Gehrman recover the doll after/was given to him and then he made the clothes etc) and the extra knowledge I have on Japanese dolls (yes I made researches oh jp doll and it's even more interesting than the European victorian era one ahah) I could share the following ideas :

That maybe the winter lanterns were originally created by the church/mensis to help them + hunters in the nightmares. Because it was too dangerous to let humans go there for too long. But eventually, because no one cared properly for them, after a while, they become corrupted (or after Mensis did their ritual) and well become like this*. They would have been created after the original dolls because that had lot of potential or smt. They have clothes really similar to the doll but also the black church attire and without the dlc they are highly associated with the lecture building aka linked with church & mensis.

It's interesting to note 2 thing :

Their name come from the alkekengi plant (more explanation on reddit). they are called Hozuki in Japanese. (they even made little dolls with the grain hehe)

*So about the dolls in general. I believed the doll in Bloodborne is highly inspired by the mourning doll from victorian era (I explained here a little) but it's interesting to see how they traditionally view dolls in Japan (because the devs are Japanese). If you're familiar with the culture/legend in shintoism/buddhism, they believe that objects and especially the one we cherish the most, have a soul. So they think dolls have a soul and they have special ceremonies to dispose of them when they aren't needed anymore called "ningyo kuyo". A way to thank them to have been there during childhood and to free their spirit by purification (burning them in a ceremony with prayers etc). But why? Well if it's not done it's believed that the soul stay but would become an evil spirit. because they were abandoned and not taken care of anymore. there's Yoke who might come from here or another good exemple : branette/banette the Pokemon

So... I wouldn't be surprised if that's why they turned into nightmares monsters. The doll was actually treat with care and respected, was loved. Not the others. They probably didn't even have a face...

There's really tons of other speculations on them so have a few others here as well :

Some people think it's failed attempt to the doll creation and they were discarded/abandoned but it don't make sense to me, are at least not like this. it's also highly possible that's it's some kind of "echo" of the doll + messengers. the 2 thing that are supposed to be to always be safe and nice. Some think only the hunter/us could see them or see them like this. It's unclear.

Also I do headcanon in part that they could have been Maria very own nightmares (they do have horrifying similarities with the patients of the researches hall... and some they are always in the nightmares).

The patients head (alone) cause frenzy as well. I feel like if the experiments had succeed (obtained additional eyes on the inside, for the patients), it would have been way too similar to a winter lantern. + they look similar to the doll and if we go on the headcanon that Maria used to wear smt really similar to the female black church attire during her time at the research hall well...they're based on her too. I imagined she could have been plague by nightmares of those but it's really headcanons territory.

Another theory I saw earlier while doing researches : they could have been human actually who transformed, past black church female doctors or hunters, but that don't explain the wood hands or why they transformed and all the other guys just died.

So yeah there's way too much thing it's always really interesting to know what people think

Next time I might share my more detailed headcanon concerning their creation + the doll hehe.

now its pretty common for rp blogs these days to have rules. right? you dont want to just bag any weirdo on this website, and as you can imagine bnha roleplayers are batshit crazy (see: conversion therapy todoroki) so mine are pretty strict and detailed. because ive been doing it long enough to be exposed to what counts as carbon monoxide poison from a screen. one of those rules is "if youre mutuals with people who write porn of the kids even aged up im blocking you we're keeping a ten foot pole on this". because as a 20 year old man i have a healthy disinterest in seeing paragraphs of teenagers fucking

so the dash is astir with talk of a guy writing age up bakugou porn and im like ok whatever. make a post bitching about it . mutual likes those posts but then the mutual is turning around and being buddy buddy with this guy so i dm the mutual like hey whats going on here . mutual is like "well why dont you talk it out with him hes not as mean as he seems i prommy" and im like sure whatever i can have civil conversation and if it ends with One Less Person writing weirdo porn then i might be able to get into heaven

so i dm him and he loses his fucking mind. it lasted all of 10 minutes because he was sending paragraphs like this and i was too tired to give a shit

along in this we also find his twitch account, which was under the name rxgelord, and it featured edited graphics of his real life face with bakugou. he posts selfies a lot too i wont share them even if theyre public but he has knuckle tats and a goatee and uses the greyscale filter. if this gives you an idea. he also had 5 twitch followers and detailed his desire to be a rapper/dj and im like holllllly fucking shit this guy cant be a real person. holy fuck.

anyways. skipping a lot of unnecessary bullshit and paragraphs of text with gifs from 2013 attached hes constantly going on about how we wont just "say it to his face" which i think is hilarious bc i was, the entire time. but im like ok fine you want me so bad

hi anon, i'm sorry you're feeling this way :( to be honest i don't really know what could be causing ppl to overlook your posts. idk what advice i could give you bc some of my bg3 posts do really really well, and some of them get like maybe 5 notes depending on what time and what day i post 🙈 but please dm me if you like i'd love to follow u if i don't already!! i love rbing bg3 posts on my blog i'd love to rb your posts too! i want everyone to feel included in this community you know ;-; even if you don't feel like your posts get enough attention i promise that isn't an indication of you not being wanted in this community!! it just means you haven't found your audience yet, and that's totally ok. it took me many years of posting consistently on simblr before i found ppl who were interested in my silly video game screenshots and tbh i feel major imposter syndrome for even saying that like jade stfu what do u mean ppl care about your screenshots no they dont😭 so like idk. for me when i get really worked up about feeling like nobody cares about what i post i just try to like......... make a circle of a few mutuals whose opinions i really cherish and every time they interact with my posts in any capacity, liking, commenting, reblogging, etc, i consider that post a win lol. be like "oh well my circle of elite mutuals all liked this post that means this post is pretty cool isnt it!!" lol that sounds silly but it helped a lot for me, bc i was really prone to getting myself in these cycles where i felt like if my posts didnt hit a certain note count that means i suck and nobody likes my stuff and thats a sucky way to feel you know!! and like i don't really know how i can optimze your note count for you, idek how i optimize my own, at this point ive given up on that endeavor bc it just puts too much weird pressure on myself to live up to an arbitrary and unreachable standard. but i think trying 2 reframe the way you think about this situation is just as helpful, it was really helpful for me at least. obv i think tumblr is a place where our posts SHOULD be shared ie reblogging stuff!! and i always always always encourage people to reblog posts bc thats how our community grows and flourishes, thats literally how tumblr has to function to survive so DO IT!! but also with all that being said, it will be better for u in the long run if you don't put a lot of pressure on yourself to hit a certain note count to be a valid participant in this community, instead make it about the love of sharing your creations online, and being content w the fact that your creations are still cool even if it didn't hit a certain level of engagement u desired!! and you know what, when you start loving and passionately posting about your creations, ppl pick up on that excitement. they get excited too!! and then before you know it you do have a community of support! so please dont unduly stress yourself my friend. does this make any sense. idk. It is about a previous post I made about Doflamingo and since it seems it´s causing some confusion, I want to add something (I´m gonna write my answer first, because it´s less confusing that way, and then let y´all read the collaboration I got after the Readmore section. IF WHOEVER SENT IT TO ME DOESN'T WANT IT HERE, TELL ME IN AN ASK AND I WILL DELETE THAT PART)

(*I wanna mention that this I am writing now is not an answer to the person who sent it to me, but something I wanted to add. I appreciated getting that perspective sent, and to that person, I'm gonna say, "Thank you." it was a good read)

As I mentioned in a reblog (which was in spanish) I may have explain myself badly, when I said they went through the same, I meant their shared experinces. Or maybe, I oversimplificted things. Yes, I do acknowledge the two Donquixote brothers grew up in different envioremnts, I am not ignoring how badly Doflamingo was affected, but the point of my original post (and here is where I think it´s the first miscommunication problem) was that I like how the show doesn´t justify him with his past. I like when villians are let to be so. Doflamingo is a twisted man with antisocial behaivor and that (in a work of fiction) it´s entrataining. I don´t want him to be justified, but I like him being explained. understood and justified is not the same thing, I should mention. Explaining a character gives it dept, but explanation is not always done so the audience can empathize, sometimes, it just does that explains.

The other thing is a matter of personal taste. I like doflamingo because I like entrataining villians, but I don´t empathize with him and I still cheered everythime the strawhats ruinned his plans.

Now the other issue with my orignal post, and form here on I will put the topic of the brothers aside and talk in general terms, also I will change the size of the font to indicate a mood switch because this may be controversial:

I am just sharing because it´s a point to consider. as the person who sent it said “it´s more complicated that that” 

Thank you for keeping up with the mess of ideas and thoughts that is more brain, and now, this time for real, it´s the post I got sent:

Idk I think it’s more complicated than that. Those kids very much did not go through the same thing or have access to the same resources and that very much does impact their choices. Just the minor differences of one being the older protector to the younger drastically changes how they would experience and move through the world. Two years is a lot at that age and one was more aware more indoctrinated and needed more help and education to fix this.

With the story showing after they parted as children only Rosi received in any meaningful way while Doffy not only didn’t get any of that support but got negative enabling. If anything Law who was stated to be just like Doflamingo as a child shows that really more than being stopped or controlled the child needed to be rescued.

Sure now the character needs to be stopped but still it should be noted the first attempt didn’t work and ended with a death and the second one hasn’t really fixed any of the problems that created the situation nor corrected the man in question as another prison break could unleash him again. Doffy had issues but his brother was completely wrong in believing he was born evil and was never afraid or cried. We see evidence all throughout the flashbacks and present day that was never the real problem with the kid.

Rather it was the negative lessons he internalized that were promoted throughout his life by the people around him and that he later promoted and spread. For example Doffy wasnt born believing owning slaves was good he learned that from other adults and his parents never corrected this before they moved. So as a child he isn’t broken or twisted he is repeating the values taught to him and engaging in behavior he would have previously been praised for.

His negative reaction to the change is actually a common childhood reaction to drastic shifts in their environments and 180s in how they have previously been raised. You see these reactions all the time in real world deprogramming initiatives and kids from those do go on to change and live better lives. Doffy isn’t a god or monster he’s a normal human being. His actions are his own and have consequences that he must live with but they are also shaped by his environment. Not 100% one or the other but a toxic mixture of both.

now *cracks knuckles* time for me to tell y'all the story of how this new story decided to come into the picture

so rewind allllll the way back to february 2022. i was having issues with my saves so to check out what the fuck was causing this, i started a new save JUST TO TEST and so you know how they put you in cas when you first start a new game? the sim they gave me was actually super cute so i was like aw she cute i'll keep her in case i ever wanna do something with her or whatever. i saved her to my gallery, went and fixed whatever issue was happening to my saves, went back to my normal bullshit

fast forward to july 2022. my personal life in may and june was an absolutely nightmare. didn't touch sims for weeks bc i was so stressed and when it finally all settled by the time july came i didn't feel like doing anything serious with sims so i was like oh WAIT i remember that one sim i saved! lemme use her as a base and make a cute gameplay sim!

IN COMES RISA! she was just supposed to be a gameplay sim! that's why she's maxis mix bc i just wanted to vibe and have fun. so i move her into san myshuno's fashion district and start thinking about her backstory bc all fun, no story JUST FUN

but then guess who starts to interact with her when she moves in

and well. the storyteller in me couldn't resist. i was having so much fun with them and honestly doing something entirely new was a breath of fresh air, especially bc this story won't be as heavy and dramatic as redemption and sincerely, yours. i started plotting and eventually it turned into a story.

ok all my blaze campaigns have now ended and that, friends, was an interesting experience!

i paid for the smallest package for each one, 2500 "impressions" which is i guess what they call it when they shove the post onto someone's dash; because of the deal that was doubled, so each one had a goal of 5000 impressions. friends, every single one overperformed. they break down some of the stats for you afterward, including separating out "paid" impressions and engagement (when they put your post in someone's eyeballs) vs. "earned" impressions and engagement (when someone encountered/interacted with the post "in the wild" as it were -- bc another user had reblogged it of their own free will rather than having it inserted in the feed). even the paid impressions far outstripped the stated goal of 5000, sometimes by a couple thousand and sometimes by almost double.

now, just because 9000+ users see a post doesn't mean they will interact with it; for me, engagements were smaller by an order of magnitude or more, ranging from 88-261. that, too, was broken down into engagements with paid impressions vs earned impressions, plus every kind of engagement (share, reply, reblog, or like) was also broken out and broken down.

tumblr also tracks how many clicks you get from a blazed post, presuming there is a link in that post to click on, and how many people decide to follow you from the "follow" link on that post (i presume a follow would not get counted if the user clicked through to your blog first, though), again broken down by paid vs. earned. so like, i guess those metrics would be useful if i were approaching this from a marketing perspective or whatever, although of course in my case i don't give a fuck.

the campaigns also lasted well past the 24-hour mark, or at least that is my impression based on how long my notes were exploding, despite the to-the-minute timeframe laid out in both the approval and completion emails. anyway, i certainly don't want to experience this amount of attention all the time, but it was a pretty brilliant idea and it was fun to see everybody's blazed cats (and, idk, it warms my heart or eases my grief or gives me validation or something to see other people appreciating my guys). i'll reblog the posts i blazed after this, for the record and so y'all can see them too.

Yeah it really is time, i was planning on going the day after I got back but I've been too sick to do my makeup and get dressed and walk over to the store (even though it's only a few blocks away, it's just so cold). The only day I've felt good enough to get dressed and do makeup was New Year's Eve and then I was too busy to go shopping that day. The freezer meals I have are ok, I'm really glad I have them for times like this! I just found one of my favorite frozen meals that I didn't know I had so I'm excited now and it's pretty nutritious since it has a lot of veggies in it! But don't worry I am eating!! Yeah I'm excited! I just saw her for the holidays so it's not like I've been away from her long lol. But she's really excited to see my cat after a long time so I'm looking forward to her being happy to see him. She's ok! The doctors are just routine visits and then the procedure shouldn't be anything major. It's outpatient and she'll be back to my place right after! Thank you love for the well wishes ❤️

RANT TIME CAUSE I KINDA DONT LIKE HOW GETTING BLOCKED WORKS

ok so 2 people blocked me (the person who started the animal hrt shit and the girl pop person) and i didnt get notified at all that i got blocked (blocked most likely due to minors DNI, which is fine)

so when i can STILL SEE THERE SHIT VIA REBLOGS and i click on there thing and it says "person doesn't exist" tumblr doesnt tell me (this person blocked you) AND yet i can still interact with other blogs. i dont even have to make another account all i gave to do is make a new blog under the same account and boom i can interact again via reblogs

again, i understand why i got blocked, really makes me wish i was 18 cause they both make cool shit. but a DNI is a DNI so yeah, i just wish tumblr letted me know i gotten blocked cause i literally had no idea i gotten blocked and it would've nice to (i think, if theres a good reason not to know let me know)

though me being able yo comment and potentially reblog(didnt check) with a different blog UNDER YHE SAME ACCOUNT i think needs to be fixed

You are not an illiterate writer. For me there is no such thing as that and get ready for a sappy moment but writing is hard, very hard and having people read it is hard as well. Aww, thank you. I mean it more as a jokingly way because I made a lot of silly errors (even though I try to proof read) and sometimes when I’m reading (even simple stuff like fanfics), I do get a bit confused or am not 100% sure. This is kind of why I decided to try writing. I

If you allow let me tell you a bit about my story with writing. (You don’t have to read it if you don’t want to). I always write stuff, when I was a kid and I didn’t like the ending of a good I would take a pen and scribble over it. I was writing little stories as well. I started to write seriously when I was 13 yo. And I started writing 2 books at that moment (never finished them). I had some MAJOR health problems when I was 13-14-15 and I was doing very bad. Writing and reading helped me a lot. When I was around 17 I had ideas for a new book, I planned it and I wrote it. A whole book of more than 300 pages. My bay. I was 19 at that point and friends and my mom read it and loved it. I send it off to house of editions, and I was rejected. I think I must be at 7-10 rejections now ? Since then I feel sick whenever I try to write, what was once my comfort became something that me sick. Now I’m trying to get back to writing with those fanfic but the nauseous feeling is still there.  (Lord I made myself sad lol) 

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I can’t imagine that it was easy. Also, don’t feel pressured to share what you’re not comfortable with or it brings too many negative emotions; after all, I’m just some person on the Internet who’s trying to be friends with you (lol). I’m sorry to hear about your health problems when you were younger and I hope you are feeling better. I can relate because I been experiencing some since two years ago. It’s A LOT better now especially since I’m not working but we’ll see once I get back to come 😢

It’s amazing that you were writing two books even if you haven’t finished them at the age of 13, and I’m glad that you found something to help you through the hard times. 300 pages? Dang, it’s hard for me to even write like 50 pages.

Also, keep in mind that you’re very young (you’re born in 2002 so I’m assuming you’re either 20 or 21 years old) and I feel like a lot of authors get a lot of rejections. Remember, you only need one “yes.” Not only that, many things including pieces of writing are subjective so don’t think you’re bad or anything like that. Some people will like your work, some might not (like it could just be not their taste or preference, etc) and that’s okay 😊 You can’t control other people’s thoughts but you can control how you feel about when you publish your work so personally, I try to make sure when I publish something, I’m proud of or at least satisfied with. 

I kind of get your nauseous experience because I feel it to especially when I publish a particular series that I'm currently working on because based on notes, I feel like it's not being well received (though I get it because some people might be shy to like something or like to be a silent reader and that's ok -- I was one of those people but now I try to comment or reblog for works I really enjoyed because it makes me soooo happy when people do that for my work so I would imagine it'd likely the author happy too).

Stromae is a Belgium singer/composer and he is amazing and the lyrics are always very deep ! Stayc vocals truly are amazing and I also think xikers have a lot of potential ! And I love enha I have two of their albums lol

I’m from Canada but the plane ride to LA is fairly cheap because it’s not far from where I live. Yes, the lineup is sooo amazing. It’ll be my first time to KCON and LA as well (I was planning to go later in October when it’s not like the dessert but ZB1 is probably not going to have a North America tour 😭)

Silly errors happens, it’s normal when you are engrossed in your writing you do not see the mistakes anymore. And I’m very proud of you to keep on continue to write !

Well I don’t mind sharing it it just that I feel like I overstepped boundaries ? But globally I don’t really mind talking about it lol. Concerning my health problems it was worse, im doing better now and I have meds so it’s globally better even if there are some moments of relapse. I’m sorry about your health problems and I hope you are doing better now and that the work won’t put you in a difficult place health wise.

Yeah well it still feel bitter because I never finished them. And for the 300 pages that story mattered a lot to me and it was different from a fanfic you know ? It was my own characters, in their own world with Iran created places so I had a lot to write about lol.

I am currently 20, my birthday is the 15 July (one day after tae rae lol) I know that one yes is enough but that story truly means so much for me, and people close to me really liked it and had good feedback so I was really hopeful, it has been my dream to be a published writer for years and I had just a lot of hope. I know that I should base my self esteem on that but it’s hard to resonate with yourself when it’s something that matters so much you know ? I’m also someone very insecure with very low self esteem so that made me suffer a lot. Lol.

I totally get what you mean. Notes are importants and not having that feedback can really makes you feel discouraged when you put so much time and effort on a piece. But the fact you kept trying proves that you are very brave !

13. What is a subject matter that is incredibly difficult for you write about? What is easy?

lets start with easy. lol don't know if this counts as a subject but whatever my fixation is HAHHAH that's really easy to write. idk i think i'm mostly a fluff/crack writer. probably nonsensical/silly subjects are my forte HAHAHA i love writing weird pieces that make you giggle and think 'wtf did my eyes just witness' AHAHAHAHAH.

and well, i have expressed my joy in creating angst fics and i've had people cry at me for them, which is great HAHAHAH thus people may think i'm idk good at that but tbh i find writing angst really hard. i don't think i can write angst honestly; there is only a time and place when i can, and i usually go through a lot of prompt ideas for it, so if you see me reblogging any prompt ideas, then that probably means im going to attempt to write angst

22. How organized are you with your writing? Describe to me your organization method, if it exists. What tools do you use? Notebooks? Binders? Apps? The Cloud?

i have no idea if i'm organized at writing. ok wait maybe im not. im not the type of person that does bullet points or whatnot, though sometimes i do. i mostly just go ham and barf on the keyboard. my method is just go for it. i literally just use the text creator on wherever im going to be posting the fic. sometimes i do write on my phone notes, maybe ms word or gdocs, i used to write fics on my notebook whilst at school cos i would day dream too much (ive even written a story at the back of my exam paper because the interval between our exams was too long) i dont write on my notebooks anymore though, and again, i mostly just write on site textboxes.

25. What is a weird, hyper-specific detail you know about one of your characters that is completely irrelevant to the story?

see i flesh out my characters SO MUCH, esp if its like for a series im doing or if im writing for a really interesting prompt. then i just assume people can read the between the lines and know on instinct that 'oh this means she's probably into yoga' or some shit HAHAHH. suddenly i couldnt think of anything. had to rack my brain for this one. in stone cold, i imagined reader showering her step kids with tons of gifts during their namedays and them being partial to her during events cos she enables sweeties and is the cool third parent 'I WANNA SIT NEXT TO HER' 'NO I WANNA' 'everyone stfu'

What is your take on Hillary's supposed boob job as a medical school student? They look bigger and perhaps perkier and firmer. So hot.

So, first of all let me start with a different kind of answer: no, she wouldn’t do it because of her personality. Let’s remember she was pretty pissed about having to change herself when she wrote to Diane Blair:

“I know how to compromise, I have compromised. I gave up my name, got contact lenses. But I’m not going to try to present to be someone that I’m not.”

Given that HRC has spoken against body shaming and actresses being pressured into losing weight in that video with Amber Tamblyn and America Ferrera, I don’t think it would be in her character at all. Besides, as long as Bill loves her (and we know he isn’t really fussy about her appearance, since he never asked her to change for him that way), I think that she just doesn’t care, because she has a pretty good relationship with her body.

Now, to the medical part. You know how I always say I am not qualified and all because I’m only a student? This time too, take all those caveats, but you actually are in luck because I did scrub in mastoplasties! They were onchological operations (ie reconstructions after tumors OR prevenctive mastectomies for women with a BRCA1 mutation, the same kind Angelina Jolie had). I’ve yet to study how these kind of operations for purely aesthetic purposes are made, because the difference between augmentation and reconstuction is that I don’t believe they take of the actual original breast tissue during augmenttion, as thet do in reconstruction, so it’s way quicker an operation compared to the onchologic procedure.

That said, let’s delve into Vodka’s archives so you can see how far my obsession with hillary’s boobs documental evidence can get us.

I think we can agree that her breasts are super cute, but not gigantic, and that’s definitely ok, becuse they compliment her slight frame. Also, you’ll notice that your perception of the size changes very much based on how much of her waist you can see (her waist is so tiny, that the comparison works very well in her favour, wheras they seem a bit smaller when she wears loose fitting clothes, like it happens on all of us. I have an Italian 3C [i don’t know what it is in other sizing, but it’s big enough but not too big] and some days when I want to be left quiet I just put on a hoodie and do the “disappearing boob trick”, aka you’d say I have none, when they are nicely full irl)

I think that, like many women, her breasts tend to follow her weight fluctuations (breasts are mostly fat. Nicely shaped, nicely trapped fat). Here you can see her right after Chelsea’s birth (very full, thanks to baby fat and actually doing their job as glands) and during Bill’s Congressional bid (right around the time of the commission on Nixon’s impeachement), when, as per Bill’s recollection, she had lost a big amount of weight due to her taxing schedule

aka don’t ask me how I got this. So, you can notice they have a certain size, but are not super sized. Very natural. Now, if we compare them to pics at other times during the years till this day, I believe they have stayed pretty consistent (although one of the great few miracles of menopause is adding a bit in that area, since it’s fat, after all)

In conclusion, I think the perception of her beast size depends a lot on

how many layers she’s wearing

if she’s wearing a frilly shirt under a jacket, the frills add volume (left pic)

if she had a cinched waist (aka you realize her breasts are bigger than what you’d think)

if she’s wearing padding of sorts (and I am so sorry, but that beautiful dress for Chelsea’s reharsal dinner had padding) (right pic)

whaterver else there might be

so in conclusion: no boob job.

Now for the more exciting alternative… mastopexy! (which is a technique I also saw irl and on which I am definitely more sold than a boob job, should I ever want to get something done in that area). It is basically a lifting for boobs: I’m just going to link the wikipedia article, because I think the image in there speaks for itself (but it has naked boobs, so no posting on here). The explanation in there is pretty clear too and I really think there’s no way to tell if she had that done without seeing a braless pic.

From my perspective, I think she has so much self confidence and she has better stuff to do than going in and do useless operations (especially since Bill has clearly cited her aversion to hospitals in general, since she’s always been very healthy), so imo, it’s a resounding no.

Love your boobies as they are, ladies!

(If anyone has some self confidence issues, I’d say to go and take a look at some body positive Tumblrs that post submissions of other users about their insecutiries and you will probably see that there’s somebody who’s very well loved by family, friends and/or their significant others, who looks just like you :)
