Okay so like this existing is…. Something. I actually really like it, the design isn’t as nice as the other zonai but I still like it. The features of the tail and the animalistic feet, and eyes, are really cool imo. They could have made a nicer design but overall this shit rocks. Link as a dragon man thing? Yes please.

Its got me thinking though, Hero of the Wild can use this to take the form of the ancient hero from the Calamity tapestry, my thoughts are that this is the same kind of situation as in Majoras mask.

Or its like when rauru fused his arm to link, to be able to fully fuse link needed to go around unlocking the first shrines. (powers and stuff). I’m kind of thinking this is the same kind of deal but a whole body fuse for completing all the shrines. So then its the situation where the hero wanted to give his power after his days to when the calamity would be unsealed and probably I dunno guessed the only person nuts enough to go through each shrine would be the next hero. (My brain is too weak to even try and make sense of how much this messes up the timeline godddd. I am just not acknowledging this.)

I’m sorry but I will not be letting links crazy zonai form shit go to waste, I will be reminding everyone of its existence because I think its cool as hell. Like seriously I did not expect to be able to turn link into a zonai in the game, let alone a cool cat like dragon lizard whatever this is.

The face shape and nose makes me think of cats. The feet too. If I’m being honest this is why I see it more as a dragon than as a lizard, because the dragons had fur and so does this guy.

Zonai dragon link in 2023 hits different, I love this game istg.

there are only a couple of cats that have ever seen a twoleg, and those couple are the ones that were former kittypets. bramblerose and gingerfrost specifically are the most well-known to know about them; bramblerose was abandoned on the side of a road a ways off the territories and gingerfrost ran away from his former owners and was a loner for a while. any other cats know the term twoleg but a number of them believe they’re just fairy tails to scare kits

dogs are equally rare, to a point that they are never a threat and therefore no one knows how to handle encountering one. there have been dogs a couple of times as there are campsites a ways from the willow guild’s borders. most cats know that they’re similar to wolves, but not much else

the pine guild is the only group that encounters wolves regularly. the pack has been known to wander into maple or beech territories, but they never go far. cats going to visit pine guild cats are known to stick strictly to the paths the pine guild cats have made, due to rumors that those who wander become a wolf’s prey.

the same applies to coyotes and foxes, though foxes are known to wander further. most cats also aren’t as intimidated by foxes, as they’re closer to a cat’s size and therefore easier to fight with

raccoons are fairly common around the territories. viewed as essentially pests, cats will sometimes get prey or resources stolen by wandering raccoons, who then run away before they can stop them. there’s usually someone grumbling about a raccoon at any given time

cats may also encounter skunks sometimes; skunks and cats mostly avoid one another, because skunks are known to spray cats if they get too close. it takes ages of rolling in strong-scented herbs and getting dunked into a pool or river to get the smell out of their fur

bears are known to appear occasionally too. most of the time, bears and cats can coexist, and will often just ignore each other. willow guild cats are the friendliest with them, as they also catch fish and they often end up hunting together. of course, all cats know to keep their distance from an unknown mother bear with her cub, and they also know when to avoid a bear that may be aggressive, as they stand little to no chance of defeating one should the bear attack

ok i’ve been doing my summer reading stuff this week. and tbh this is one of the best books i have EVER read for an assignment. but it’s about neuroscience and religion and addiction and generational trauma and a LOT of other things..

but i kept reading the neuroscience/religion parts and i couldn’t not think about self-ish. because in a way she was saying the same stuff will does in a couple of those songs. like specifically song with 5 names. in fact i think *only* song with 5 names,, just the overall themes of the album also reminded me of the book, too.

so here’s a screenshot of some of my annotations. they’re not great but. i thought it was interesting how similar they were.

(and if im totally missing the points of both of these pieces and they can’t be related in the slightest. that’s on me.)

and just as a note,, i kinda joke about finding will wood references in everything.. and while i do do that a lot when nothing seems related,, this actually did. it also probably didn’t help that i was listening to the song with 5 names when i read this though 🙃

there’s also a good bit of Willard! vibes in here, too. like it’s that but throw in a touch of religious trauma.. but overall it’s still really good!
