Stolas' pictures including a conscious Blitz looking away from the camera and Stolas. Blitz's picture including an unconscious Stolas cuddled up next to him. Because Stolas believes them on equal footing/the same page about what their dynamic is with Blitz just hating every minute of it and Stolas. Because Blitz believes they're on different levels entirely and that the only way he can be content is when the rest of the world (and Stolas specifically) live on without him.

Because Stolas and Blitz are both terrified of being/dying alone, but while Stolas would sacrifice his love for Blitz, Blitz doesn't believe his own love is worth anything to begin with.

college au nonsense pt. 1

“You think he’s got a girlfriend he hasn’t told us about?” Kelly shifts in her chair, her attention riveted on her brother, who’d been waylaid between the register and the table by a dark-haired woman Kelly didn’t recognize. The ambient symphony of scraping chairs and echoey conversations drowns out whatever words are passing between them, but their body language is speaking volumes all on its own.

Her other brother shrugs. “Wouldn’t be the first time.”

Linda snorts. “We only found out about what’s-his-name a week after they hooked up.”

Kelly smirks across the table. “You know he’s still got that guy’s number in his phone? I saw it the other day.”

“God.”

Over Linda’s shoulder, Kelly can see her brother’s conversation coming to a close. The woman smiles and places a hand on his forearm. The touch lingers for a few seconds before she takes a step back and, with a parting wave, begins to head in the opposite direction.

Moments later, Fred joins them.

“Who was that?” Kelly tips her head toward the mystery woman’s retreating back.

Fred offers a one-shouldered shrug, focusing more on his lunch than anyone at the table. “A friend. We have a class together, she was reminding me what pages we need to read for the lecture tomorrow.”

“Oh, that’s nice…” Fred still hadn’t looked up from his sandwich. Kelly pounces. “...and she had to touch your arm to do that?”

“She’s cute,” John cuts in. “You should ask her out.”

“Subtlety of a brick, thanks,” Kelly gripes, shooting a sideways glare in her brother's direction.

For the first time since he'd sat down, and with his face a few shades pinker than usual, Fred looks up at his siblings. He seems to be on the verge of defending himself, but is quickly interrupted by the approach of another dark-haired woman. This one, Kelly did recognize.

She gives the group a bright smile and slides a piece of paper across the table to John. “Here’s that cheat sheet I promised. Just don’t mention me if they catch you with it during the test.” She winks and hefts her bookbag higher on her shoulder. “I’d stay and chat but I’m on my way to class. Talk later!”

Fred waits until the sound of her footsteps fades into the rest of the noise, then nails his brother with a semi-hostile stare. “And when are you gonna ask her out, huh?”

John mirrors the expression.

Fred cocks an eyebrow. “Hey, turnabout is fair play. Don’t get on the field if you’re not ready for the game.”

“Touché,” John eventually concedes, sitting back with a huff. “...shithead.”

I love how everyone is trauma trauma mental health disaster angst and then Techno “voices in he head” Blade is out chilling with his inner demons. The Foundation tried to get to him and he was like ‘bruh thanks for the offer but I’m good’

He’s so wonderfully comfortable with himself and his flaws. Well I mean he’s an awkward dork, but still. Of course he’s downplaying his own trauma since that’s how he rolls, but overall he’s having an alright time while causing huge problems for everyone else lol

ough why did my iv drip hurt so much 😭 i had preseptal cellulitis as a kid and they gave me iv antibiotics so it'd be a quicker recovery and the cannula was in my hand and apparently its not supposed to hurt but every 4? 6? hours when they switched the drip on i just remember it hurting so much i cried. makes me squeamish even now

#chaos.txt #that hospital trip was so crazy i remember it in such vivid detail and i was like. 8 #my eye hurt thursday evening my dad said there was no point going to a&e we'd rather wait till morning #in the morning it was all puffed up and crunchy and we went to the hospital :-) and my dad took me to eye casualty #and we sat for a few hours i remember the waiting room and everything. eventually got seen sent up to this empty ward #literally 10 beds and just me. my mum bought grapes. they put in the cannula #they tried to distract me but i rly didn't want it lol so i was squirming so i always think maybe i just made them do it wrong?#my mum had to leave the room because she's squeamish 😭 hurt like hell #then i fainted a while after. definitely related my body doesn't like needles #got moved to this other ward much busier and then honestly i don't remember #i know that i went to the kids play area on saturday and got disappointed because they only did workshops on weekdays #and my mum met a woman whose older kid had been there for a while and i was jealous of his walking IV #and in the night this girl was brought in next to me with a bunch of red angry spots #and my hand burned when they switched the IV on so my dad held my hand :-)#and there was a boy with a broken leg the next ward over and i was so fascinated by the sling #and when they took the cannula out it didn't hurt at All but i was like oh there's blood there ! so i started cleaning it up #and the nurse said oh you'd make a great nurse one day :) and i think one of my parents said or a doctor!#and . well. here we are. god 10 years later. what a wild ride
